Cole did an amazing job officiating our elopement a couple weeks ago. Honestly, I think the best thing I can share about Cole was... everything? He made both the vows and wedding ceremony super easy to plan out, and he was all about our fun ideas! He sent a questionnaire and then added all these amazing personal touches to our ceremony. We had so many compliments on his work, and he made it seem like it was a friend of ours doing the ceremony.

Let me start with that I am speechless, I’m not even sure where to begin here.

Cole is literally the definition of the most perfect officiant.
The time and thought and customization he puts in to his ceremonies? Incomparable.
I mean this is the only time I’ve been married and the only time I plan to do it, but Cole stood out from the start, there was no other competition once I found him.
I honestly probably would have been prepared to change my wedding date had he not been available at that point.

Let me preface by saying prior to meeting Mary, my wife and I actually had reservations about going through the whole walking-down-the-aisle thing - neither one of us were religious or particularly sticklers for traditions or pomp and circumstance, and my partner especially hated being the centre of attention, so we had every reason to NOT get officiated - in fact we even thought about just going to City Hall and 'getting it over with'!

But after a friend and a venue independently recommended Mary, we decided to meet up with her for coffee to see if we'd click... and we were so glad we gave her (and ourselves) an opportunity, because as soon as Mary entered the coffee shop, she put us at ease. Over the course of a few coffees and Mediterranean pastries, Mary continued to impress us not just with her knowledge and professionalism, but also with her warmth and her enthusiasm. I especially remember how she respected our values and preferences, and assured us that this will be our day, the way we want it. Not to mention she knew our venue like the back of her hand!

By the end we were completely sold - in fact I'd say that prior to meeting Mary we were quite nervous about planning a wedding, but after we secured her as an officiant we practically built our entire special day around her, because she gave us peace and provided us spiritual anchorage.

On the day of our ceremony, she was funny, professional, humanistic and memorable - my wife and I lost our grandparents when we were young, but on the day of our wedding, it was as if Mary filled their voids with her love.

Not too crowded. Picturesque buildings. Good place to walk around. Public transit is accessible.

Ottawa City Hall is not a grand or impressive building by any means, but it feels very functional and practical. The design is simple and modern, with open spaces that seem to serve their purpose well. It may not wow you architecturally, but it gets the job done as a working municipal building.

Precisely what a city hall should look like. I got a bit of history and facts about Ottawa from the Museum on the ground floor. In addition, there are beautiful artworks from different artists on display and some on auction to be purchased. The rink of dreams is located right in front of the city hall, and it's always a major attraction during the winter season. Plenty of multilevel parking 🅿️ available at very reasonable prices. The City Hall also has other offices, including a Canada service office. The hall also serves as an event centre, which is really cool.

City Hall has great customer service and good workers. When I had concerns and struggles with documents and information, they didn't hesitate to help and make me feel comfortable. Back in 2023, my husband and I got married there in a court room by a judge. She's the sweetest person, and we feel honoured to have met her. She made it enjoyable and meaningful. I'm sure many other judges are just as kind and professional. City Hall offers a lot of services and they're always happy and ready to help. I can say they make me feel lucky and proud to live in Ottawa.

Seems to be the best run Registry I’ve been to. It’s definitely quite busy, but they coordinate well and it’s got a decent amount of space. Odd spot for it, but aside from the wait time everything was quick and smooth.

I’ve been coming here for 10-15 years, and I’ve never had an issue. Sometimes there’s a bit of a line but you can expect that with any registry. I do like their online wait list and today I was in and out in FIVE minutes to renew my license (on a Friday afternoon!). Super impressed. The staff is always so friendly and so helpful so thank you, keep up the good work.

This is THE BEST registry. I consistently get great service here! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. I go out of my way to go here when I need a registry because of the excellent service. I have tried other registries, such as the one in Legacy Township, but after not great experiences, I will never use any other registry besides the Registry @ South Trail Crossing.

I had my road test today with Chris, and he is truly the best examiner! I was very nervous at first, but he made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire drive. 4 years ago I posted a 1 star review of this place but today I am happy to say that they have kicked it up 4 notches! Maryann was amazing and so was the gal that she was training. The place is organized and they have enough staff to run the office efficiently without long waits.

.Avoid this place at all costs for your Class 5 road test. My experience was extremely frustrating. The examiner seemed more focused on failing me than evaluating my driving fairly. I was disqualified based on a false narrative that didn’t reflect what actually happened. It felt like their goal was to keep collecting fees rather than helping people pass.

This kind of practice is unfair and discouraging for newcomers and learners. The Alberta government should seriously consider bringing road tests fully under public control. If left in private hands, these institutions will continue to act like capitalists, exploiting the community rather than serving it.

Specially examiner number 11866 He will make sure you fail the exam by exaggerating minor mistakes into disqualification.
I repeat: do not book your road test here.

Came here for my class 5 road test today and I have to say... IMPECCABLE service. Going into it I was so nervous, but my examiner was super supportive and professional. Overall, this was a five-star experience. The tester was understanding, patient, and didn't overstep at all.

I just had a pretty bad experience at this place,.
This was usually a nice place to get our business done, license plates, registry and such. but the last couple of times I have been there have not been the best. I booked my road test this year again and they cancelled because they argued I was late, which I was not,!! there was only 1 person attending and it was until one more attendant appeared that I was called, by then 4 minutes after my appointment has passed, so, they told me I can not do the road test and have to book one more time, ( last year they cancelled my test due to the weather she said, but no reimbursement,)I explained to them that I was there just before 2:45pm which was the time my test was booked at, but no one was there, they kept arguing that I was late instead of getting me into the test, saying that I should have come in and yell them that I was there and needed to be attended,( who actually does that?), I explained that I will not be that guy that will come in to a store and start yelling and demand to be attended!, but she said that is what I was supposed to do. I guess from now on, anybody could come in demanding and yelling and will be ok.( I was supposed to be there half hour before, Yet, I was there on time for my test,, why would you schedule someone at certain time then you tell them they have to be half hour before the schedule??)

I will call this a SCAM! apparently, I will have to book my road test for the 3rd time, but will not go back to that place unless I have no option, and will suggest to anybody to avoid it badly, and avoid this "scamming" situation, road test are not cheap this class 6 will cost me now more than 6oo, but at least the money will go to someone else, Im afraid now of taking that test which they will say I have failed and make me pay again. too sad that it is the only option in town, but I would rather drive a few kms far.

I had my road test today at this registry after having difficult experiences at another registry, and I am so grateful for the smooth and positive experience here. My examiner was Mr. Simon, and thanks to his professionalism and support, I was able to pass my test on the first attempt at this registry.

Before the test, I was very nervous and scared because of my prior experiences elsewhere. I had lost confidence in my abilities, but after today I feel back with confidence and secure in my ability to drive safely on the road. Mr. Simon exudes an aura of calmness that immediately put me at ease. He truly tries his best to make the test feel less intimidating and even reminded me to just drive the way I normally would with a license. That encouragement really helped me relax and focus. During the test, his instructions were clear, calm, and easy to follow. Afterward, he provided a thorough debrief, explaining the points that were deducted and ensuring I fully understood.

Overall, Mr. Simon created an environment where I felt supported and confident, which made a huge difference in my performance. It is evident that he understands the stress students can feel during a road test and responds with patience and professionalism.

Simon was by the book and stringent on safety but fair and understanding. As a new Motorbike rider with my class 6 that's what I expect from an examiner.

The debrief was detailed but encouraging. As for converting the licence, the process, once at a counter took a few minutes. Today, Sunday, it was packed but even then the queue moved quick and efficiently.

Came on Sunday 20 minutes before closing and got the best registry-related experience ever! Almost every window is staffed, they are very busy but working very fast. I was helped by Surbhi, and she was fantastic - super-professional, super-friendly and super-helpful. Maybe the bad comments came from unhappy people, because my experience here was 10/10!

Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience

I had a deeply unpleasant experience at this registry. It’s clear that the focus here is more on making money than on providing a fair or respectful service. In particular, the instructor named Michael was extremely unprofessional and rude. He yelled at me during my driving test, behaving aggressively and in a completely unacceptable manner. His tone and conduct were not only inappropriate but also came across as discriminatory.

Looking through other reviews, I realize I’m not the only one who experienced this kind of treatment. Booking here was clearly a mistake, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I have a video recording of the test from my car camera, clearly showing how this individual acted and yelled. I’ll be uploading the audio portion to YouTube first and will share the link here for anyone who wants to hear it for themselves.

This kind of behavior should never be tolerated—especially from someone in a position of authority. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

My experience with examiner Mr. Nanaz was highly professional. Despite not passing me on my second attempt, he provided a clear, honest justification for the deductions, which directly helped me succeed on my third try. He maintains excellent clarity during tests, ensuring drivers are never confused. I regret being unable to thank him properly due to test protocols. His integrity is commendable.

Absolute brilliant experience. Me and my husband came to get AB health cards and an abstract and the registry Clerk Rahul couldn't have been any helpful. Such a great informative guy and gave us all the necessary information we needed to renew the cards. The line was so long as we walked in but we were in the line for literally 5 minutes, super super fast clerks getting things done. First time I've been somewhere where not only the service was first class but the customer service and waiting times were spot on!

incompetent service, the teller doesn't. understand what i am saying for my 85yr old senior citizen, that there's no billings under her name because she just came less than a week, and she still ask for billings for address and can't use my dozens of bills I have for proof of address. not very helpful just to get a health card. these registry has 2 addresses on Google but both have bad reviews. sucks
