Today (February 27, 2025) I had my hair cut and styled by Faith (hairdresser at the Strathmore Runway Hair Design Company Inc.). I am very pleased with the result; and the experience was very positive. Faith was very attentive to what I wanted and Faith made efforts to transform my ideas to make me feel better about myself than just 'plain' grandma. Faith took the time to trim the back of my hair a second time and to make adjustments with the layers as we discussed what I preferred. I am very pleased with this service and I want to recommend this hair salon, and Faith as a hairdresser, to anyone who is looking for a new look or to manage their hairstyle.

Nice salon for sure. Decent place to get a straight forward man's cut for a fair price. They won't absolutely cookie cutter it like the barber shop by M & M meats, and they won't push you to do something more adventurous if you don't want. If you want anything more unique they have obviously got that covered too. I always go with Melissa.

I've made this place my chosen hair cut option after struggling to find a barber shop or salon in Strathmore that was the right balance of simple yet also sophisticated as you want to be.

I enlisted Top Knot as HMUA for my wedding and it was without a doubt, the best choice I could have made. Lisa and Erin are incredibly talented and patient and had to work with both adults and children on the morning of the wedding and made us all, especially the girls, feel like royalty!

My very heartfelt appreciation goes to Lisa who was not only down-to-earth and made me feel like family in her hands but also for hearing out my every thought and wish, recreating every hairstyle during my trials with that I even remotely considered, and was able to source last minute hair extensions for my dream hair style (perfect colour match might I add!).

I heard time and time again that many brides regretted their hair and/or makeup at their wedding and I can confidently say I loved both and it’s all thanks to Lisa and Erin.

We hired Top Knot to be our H&MUA for our wedding, and they were lovely! They were incredibly punctual and did amazing work. All of the bridesmaids and mothers looked gorgeous on our special day! They also helped out my husband with styling his hair. I would highly recommend them for your special event!

We rented out Top Knot Parlour for about 7 people for my wedding, and cannot recommend the experience enough. They provided a mimosa bar, yogurt parfaits, a wonderful board with smoked salmon, fruits, cheeses, pastries, etc, dress steaming, and an incredible team of hair and makeup artists. The day started early but felt so relaxing and special, everyone was so kind and helpful, we all looked and felt so beautiful, and overall the day just felt wonderful. Total costs including parlour rental and hair and makeup for all of the girls was about $3700 I think, and absolutely well worth it!

Choosing Top Knot/Neu Hue for my bridal party's hair and makeup services was one of the best decisions we made for our January wedding! Lisa is my usual hairstylist via Neu Hue and it felt natural to have her on my wedding team. During the trial period, I ended up changing my mind on the direction for my makeup, and Lisa and her team were super accommodating, booked me an additional trial, and made me feel completely at ease. On the day of our wedding, my bridal party got ready at the Parlour and it was fantastic! It was a completely stress-free and fun way to spend the morning and of course, everyone left looking and feeling beautiful! Highly, highly recommend Neu Hue and the Parlour experience.

Top Knot Brides did an AMAZING job at my wedding!! My bridesmaids and family members were incredibly happy with our hair and makeup, and my husband was awestruck with the result as well. Their team was super nice, friendly, professional, and a whole lot of fun! My hair tends to be very difficult to style and typically doesn't hold a curl, but Lisa knew exactly what to do - she got my hair to look exactly as I wanted it, and the curls held well into the evening! Steph did a great job with my makeup as well. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the products she was using. She and the other artists were also very responsive and knew exactly what to do when we requested changes to our looks.

The big thing about this hair salon is they should let you know that some of the girls are still apprenticing for their license. I really wanted a nice haircut. I went from medium to very short hair thank goodness hair Grows! I should mention that the people they are very nice. Update,
You know how they say a good hair cut is in two weeks after the cut, well still not good! Worst haircut I ever got!

Big fan of Bangles, have always treasured getting my lashes and brows done by Crystal. I have to say that Jessica absolutely made my day by the best cut and colour that was probably the best one I’ve ever had. She did high and low lights, the best cut, took her time, in the best way! Listened to what I wanted, and I left feeling like a Queen! Always a great experience at Bangles, and Jessica, I highly recommend, she is made for her job, and I think she would make every person feel as great as I did. ❤️❤️❤️

The haircuts could really, really, be better. I have layers and wavy hair, and they never really knew what to do with it. Many times, i just went home and fixed it myself. My husband went for a haircut too and hated it so much. Was never really convinced with the quality.

Got a massage here and it was fantastic, really loosened my shoulders! They're pretty tight on average so I didn't expect much, but it's been some time and I'm still feeling better than before.

I went to Bangles Hair Salon to get my Hair Cut in Strathmore! Keely cut my hair and did a Fantastic job!! I would recommend Keely to everyone! She is a real Pro when she cuts your hair!! Definately will be back! Thanks Keely!!

I had a great experience and I’m so glad I chose to do my nail course with her. She’s so patient and such a great teacher. I was so nervous and excited but trust me, it was well worth it!! I’ve learned so much and I can’t wait to see how far my nail journey will take me!!

I had the opportunity to take the Beginner Acrylic course at the beginning of March and I can’t say enough good things. Both Liana & Vanessa were so sweet and very patient. They really took the time to answer all my questions and while practicing give you really clear instructions and tips to catch your mistakes. The course was well worth every penny. Not only did I receive 2 days of classes by very knowledgable instructors but also an awesome starter kit and if that wasn’t enough our lunches were also included and they were amazing !!! I’m looking forward to taking more classes with Glam.Mtl

Rayne is a beautiful person, unfortunately our make up experience was not the best. My daughter and I went to her for makeup for my son's wedding. As soon as we got home my daughter's eyelashes fell off. We had to rush around to shop for other eyelashes:( We both had to add to our eye shadow application and reduce the foundation application.

Rayne is extremely talented and gifted and did an amazing job with my eyelash extensions and my make up. I had asked her for a beautiful dewy and glowy make up look and she delivered. She did a great job with my eyeshadow and contouring. I highly recommend her as she is patient, kind, and brilliant with make up!

I came to Salon Fiorella a couple of weeks ago for a booked appointment with Christa and left feeling very happy and satisfied. Firstly, the atmosphere was very welcoming. For my hair, I gave her a few pointers of what I wanted and she was able to deliver exactly what I was hoping for. She also gave me tips on how to keep proper colouring until my next appointment. I got a balayage, hair trimming, layering and face framing, and she styled it beautifully before I left. I’d definitely recommend!

Kayla is a gem! She styled my hair for a gala, and not only did it look stunning, but it lasted all night without a single touch-up needed.

The staff here are all great. I have been for several blowouts and styles with different stylists and I always leave with my hair looking fantastic.

Hannah has refreshed my blonde several times now and it’s always the perfect tone and a nicely blended grow out!

I had a marvelous experience at Salon Fiorella. After my long-time stylist retired, I spent a year bouncing from salon to salon trying to find a place that could you give me silver blonde highlights AND cut my hair the way I like it. I had a few bad experiences on that journey, so by the time I walked into Fiorella, my expectations were low. I was impressed first by the look of the place. The salon is spacious and has a minimalist elegance, bright white and full of mirrors. I was also impressed by the customer service, which is welcoming and attentive. I started with a consult appointment with Alex, a colour specialist. I showed her photos of the silvery blonde I was hoping to achieve and she said no problem. I went back the following week and was thrilled with what she did. As my colour was processing, all around me, I saw happy ladies like myself, gossiping, reading magazines, just enjoying being pampered. I felt like I was in a Pedro Almodovar movie. Alex gave me the bright highlights I wanted around my face and Mina gave me the best, most luxurious shampoo and head massage I've ever had at a salon. Alisha did a great job of my cut. Checking out, I was surprised by how reasonable the charge was considering how many people had looked after me. On top of all this, the staff seem genuinely happy. Many of them have worked for this salon since it was Rinaldos in a different location decades ago. Happy long-time staff are always a good sign. I'm relieved to have finally found a salon where I feel I'm in capable hands. I look forward to my next appointment.

Jessica Meyers is incredibly talented!! I did a trial with her and loved my hair. But I decided to change my hairstyle on the day. I showed her a picture of my desired hair, she went with it and executed it even better than the picture! She also did a wonderful job doing the hair for my bridal party members and she took the time to do touch ups so the hair would last. Mine not only looked gorgeous but lasted all day.

Trena and her team are amazing! I have them booked for our large wedding this summer and feel so confident with them taking this on. Trena and Lindsay came out to Invermere to do my bridal party's hair & makeup for my wedding. These 2 were so easy going and friendly, it felt like they were a part of the group just hanging out doing hair & makeup. Vicki did both my hair and makeup for my wedding day, as well as the makeup of six other ladies in my group. She was extremely courteous and professional from our first interaction and always replied very promptly to my emails. I had originally hired Vicki as our makeup artist only, but when my plans with my hair stylist fell through, I contacted Vicki and, on short notice, she accommodated my request to do my hair as well as my makeup.

On the wedding day, Vicki was a pleasure to work with. She has a great personality and kept everyone at ease, while working non-stop on the group for 5 hr. I was very happy with how both my hair and makeup turned out and I would definitely hire Vicki again for future events.

I had the pleasure of having my bridal hair and makeup done by Vicki. As someone who is normally not comfortable with makeup, I was quite nervous. However Vicki listened to my concerns and ensured that I am comfortable with my bridal makeup. Similarly for my hair, it was exactly what I had envisioned. I was very happy with both my hair and makeup and felt very comfortable throughout the day. Besides her amazing work, she was very kind and had a great sense of humour! It was our first visit to Flawless salon for a haircut and blow-dry for my 12-year-old daughter with Fouad. The service itself (cut and blow-dry) was good, and we were happy with the result.

However, when it came time to pay, we were charged $70, even though the website clearly stated that “haircut and blow-dry – children 12 and under” was $40. When I asked for an explanation, the answers kept changing: first, that the price was only for the haircut (even though the website said haircut and blow-dry), then that 12 years old didn’t count as “12 and under,” and finally that the higher price was because she has curly hair.

None of these arguments were convincing, and I was disappointed by the lack of transparency and clarity regarding the pricing.

Had a wonderful experience with Halla-
Color, cut, style.. the whole package. I went from 50 shades of brown and grey to a stunning new highlighted blonde bob. She was magic. Thank you Halla for taking the time, always checking in, and making sure I was happy with the end result.

My wife recently had a haircut with Amany, and I must say—she was excellent at her job. Professional, skilled, and welcoming, with a pleasant demeanor. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-done haircut.

However, I need to express serious concern about the behavior of the man at the front counter. His attitude was completely unacceptable. From the moment we walked in, he displayed nothing but rudeness—refusing to acknowledge a greeting, making unpleasant facial expressions when asked a simple question, and offering no response when thanked or wished goodbye.

This kind of disrespectful conduct is not only unprofessional but also damaging to your business. No matter how competent you are at your job, a poor attitude will drive customers away. Basic courtesy—like making eye contact, responding politely, and offering a smile—is the bare minimum in customer service.

To whoever this individual is: you know exactly who you are. If you’re part of a customer-facing team, act like it. Take a cue from your colleagues, especially Amany, who truly understands what good service looks like. Customers deserve respect—every time.

I loved her suggestions as she was able to work with my undercut hair style and added colour to the area that would normally be my natural colour underneath. She was able to customize caramel and soft blonde tones throughout my hair and the cut itself took all the long weight of my hair and added lots of fun layers and bounce. I feel like a new woman after today! What a transformation! I can’t wait to work with her again in the future!

Some of the staff was really rude and when trying to ask a question , getting responses that made me feel like I was stupid for asking. Furthermore, I was starting to feel untrusted in the store when I had them falling me over because I was lost on what I needed but didn't dare ask them for help any longer. I believe they were quick to judge people. And made a point of letting a person know when your not wanted in their store. Worst experience ever coming from a small town that o would normally praise that the small town stores normally give excellent customer service. So anyone looking for those building materials etc just stick to the canadain tire around the corner

I’ve been in a few times and they were very helpful. I went in today to spend $130 and as walked in a young sales assistant told me enthusiastically I had to have my reusable bag at the checkout.! I assume they were pre-accusing me of being a thief which doesn’t leave a great taste in the mouth. Never had any store do this before and not sure why I was humiliated at the entrance when I was happy to support a local store. Will not be going back.

The guy in charge of closing the store at this store location on August 26, 2025 at 7:54pm, should be retrained in customer service. I approached to enter the store at 7:54pm and he could not let me in because he felt I was too late and the store was closing in 5mins. I have gone to other stores like Walmart and just a minute before closing and they have let me in. I am very disappointed by this treatment. I have had very pleasant experience shopping at this store in the past and really treated well by other customer associates, but this fella's understanding of good customer service leaves much to be desired.

I had the pleasure of working with Caroline Théorêt Services for hair and makeup on my wedding day in 2023 and the experience was truly great. Caroline did my makeup, my sister’s, and my mother’s, while her talented team took care of my bridesmaids (a total of 5 people).

Prior to the big day, I had a trial with Caroline at her studio, which helped us plan the perfect look. On the day itself, the results were nothing short of stunning; we all looked picture-perfect! My bridesmaids were thrilled with both their makeup and hairstyles. The artists took the time to listen to their preferences and offered helpful suggestions to ensure their makeup and hair stayed flawless throughout a hot July day.

What stood out the most was the level of personalized service. Caroline even came to our reception venue during cocktail hour to do touch-ups for all of us. She refreshed my look with a beautiful smokey eye for the evening, adding that extra glam while still keeping it natural and elegant.

Unfortunately I will not use her services again or recommend her to anyone else. July 5 2025 I chose Caroline for my son's wedding. It was not my 1st time using her service for makeup. I had no issue with the previous experience which was in 2022, but keep in mind it was only her without any other service required. This time I also added hair service. The stylist, Naomi, was friendly, listened to what I wanted and the trial was perfect however I can't say the same for the wedding day. As others have mentioned in previous reviews, Caroline was not very professional. She was all stressed out because of the following appointment she had booked. She did change my appointment, to an earlier hour, stating the bride after me was nervous and was stressing her out. My hair was not finished when she arrived which did not sit well with her. She started bickering with the hair stylist in front of me. The whole issue was how they needed to make it to their next appointment ASAP without considering how it was making me feel. All this was happening while she was doing my makeup, my hair was still not finished and she made it very awkward for me. At the end, my hair was not at all how I wanted it but I don't blame the hair stylist since Caroline took over the minute she walked in, pushed my bangs to one side and was rushing through the whole process. Overall it was not a good way to start the morning especially since it was a very special day for me. I did not say anything at that moment because I did not want to make an issue or start something the morning of. NOTE: I sent an email to Caroline the Monday after the wedding honestly giving her my feedback but she chose to ignore it and not reply.

Ten years ago, I had my bridesmaid makeup and hair done by Caroline Theoret and her team for my best friend's wedding. They delivered the exact look I wanted based on the inspiration photos I provided, and I felt absolutely my best for the occasion. Naturally, when it came time to book a makeup artist and hairstylist for my own wedding, I of course thought of Caroline fist and foremost. I am absolutely confident I will look simply stunning on my big day. I would recommend her services to any bride or bridal party!

Bad customer service never replied to my text nor phone calls neither didn’t she call back same for emails. I had a few questions before sending my deposit and she was nowhere to be found yet she’s on instagram resharing her fake oscars so nothing is wrong with her I’m unfollowing not like she was following back which she don’t follow back all of her customers nor reshare videos she takes of them she only does it for her bridal’s and favourites. Acting like you were gonna do this for free or something. Well I found someone else that’s good as well and for cheaper and she was quickly responsive to me on whatsapp someone that’s respectfully about business I guess everything happens for a reason. Periodt.
P.S and Why ask for someone’s instagram on your website and while doing their makeup if you’re not gonna follow your customers back support them back let’s say if they do music etc.. just to spy on them see what they look like?? bipolar fake and selfish.. We live out by chestermere high school, and we prefer to come to this location vs East Hills. There is plenty of parking and the store is more orginized. We have always had good service here.

When I visited this this walmart location just a week ago I was appalled by the entire FRESH Department as it was nothing more than an eyesore. The amount of damaged products thrown on the shelves in the bakery, nearly rotten produce in the cooler area and produce display boxes.More alarming let me mention expired meats that looked beyond rancid and definitely screaming unsafe to eat unless you have a willingness to be hospitalized. I saw what looked to be a higher up employee ( supervisors or management)in the store running around on their personal
Cell phone speaking Punjabi, to whom I can only assume was family or friends ignoring customers, as I did try approach one to question about the Fresh department and all the issues I had found since there was absolutely nobody present in the entire area of fresh! Nobody stocking the shelves or quality control in the department. I used to be a Walmart canada employee in Edmonton and to be blatantly honest this is unacceptable and management should be held accountable. Staff like myself would never be allowed to Run around on our personal cell phones speaking to friends or family during shift nor would we even be employed letting the heart of our store(FRESH) ever look like this. Since I was never given the time of day by the young man who was wearing glasses and of east Indian ethnicity roughly in his twenties I went ahead and filed complaint with alberta health services. It's obvious this store lacks the knowledge of canadian food safe policies they lacks FIFO policies and how to properly mark down and dispose of expired meats, since I saw many nearing their expiry and again the rancid meat (chicken) I came across was 4 days past expiry. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Clearly I care more about your customers than the store manager, department managers, supervisors and department workers. Thoroughly disgusted and don't know how your store is still open and serving the community members or strathmore and surrounding areas. I wish I was still employed by walmart because I would file a formal complaint to corporate office and the CEO.

I will not be recommending this store to any friends or family that visit the strathmore area. As I know many whom travel to and visit often.

Aisles are incredibly tight and cramped, especially the produce section. it is impossible to fit a shopping cart in there.
Product selection is incredibly lacking compared to other stores like East Hills Calgary or Marlborough Calgary. Absolutely disappointing how poorly planned the store layout is.

The grocery store is terrible (it is not Super Centre type..much smaller) with poor selection, tired looking fruits and veggies and meat that looks a bit old. Grocery part is crowded. The store is generally disorganized and not very clean. Even the blue on the outside of building is faded. This store needs a complete overhaul.

Website is no longer accessible. Having to verify every 10 seconds that I am not a robot. Can't login to my account, because it keeps getting stuck on verifying that I am not a robot. Screw you Walmart. AI isn't the answer to everything.

Given the wrong information today, on multiple occasions, which has lead my 20 month-old son to be without medication for two days.

Dropped off my prescription this morning for him. Was told it was a compound, so they would need to order in the necessary parts for it. Was told if I did it through them, the delivery would be made by 4-5pm, and the prescription would be ready by dinner time. I said that was fine as my husband could pick it up on the way home.

My husband received a message earlier to his departure from work in the city saying the prescription was being processed. He called the pharmacy on his way home, and the phone line indicated it would be delayed until after 8pm.

My husband then drove back to the pharmacy (we live half an hour away), to pick up the medication. He called to confirm it would be done.

He arrived to be told it wasn't done. Not only that, but it wouldn't be done today at all, and not even tomorrow morning - because this pharmacy doesn't so that kind of medication, so we have to go to another pharmacy.

So we were given incorrect information by multiple staff members, leaving our sick son without medication he could have otherwise had if we had been given the correct information initially to go to another pharmacy, AND my husband was forced to make an hour round trip for nothing.

Educate your staff better. My son is suffering because of you, and I don't have enough words in my vocabulary to share how absolutely disgusted I am with you.

Staff were rude and not helpful. I was told multiple times that they could not fill my prescription even though I had the same prescription filled at another Shoppers Srug Mart location. The pharmacist said verbatim "I've been doing this a very long time I know what I'm doing.". Well apparently he doesn't because the prescription was eventually able to be filled when I walked them through it.

I don’t enjoy posting lower reviews, as most staff at this Shoppers location are incredible and I’ve never once had any problems shopping normally.

However, I got sick and needed to get a test done and Shoppers Pharmacy was the only place near me that would take bookings or walk-in’s on a Sunday. I booked the night before, for a 10:30am appointment. I came in 10 minutes early and was treated in a very “disregarding” fashion by the pharmacist. She asked what I needed and I told her I had booked online for a test. She haphazardly handed me a clipboard with some medical sheets to fill out, and didn’t bother searching me up in their system.

I filled out their forms and brought them back to her, and she then asked my name and phone number, and once I gave her my phone number, she stated she was signing me up for text alerts. No option, not given a “would you like to sign up for text alerts?” She just signed me up. She then told me the pharmacist who could administer my test wouldn’t be there until 10:30 exactly, which was completely fine. But then I proceeded to sit in the waiting area until 10:50, when the pharmacist finally arrived.

I was still waiting at this point when another customer went to the pharmacy desk and the receptionists demeanour was entirely different. Very bright and bubbly, actually looked up this client in their system, told them they could see their booked appointment.

I then waited another 10 minutes before finally being called in to take the test I needed and the pharmacist also had a very negative attitude.

I understand this is a hard job, people can absolutely be difficult to deal with, but I never did anything to warrant such treatment. And if this is how I was treated, how are other clients being treated? Especially when sick? In a medical field, you need to be compassionate and I experienced no compassion at this location.

I would absolutely give the regular staff who run the store 5 stars, but this pharmacy deserves 1 star.

I had a great experience at Shoppers in Strathmore thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful pharmacist Josh. He took the time to listen to my concerns and provided clear guidance on how to manage my symptoms. Highly recommend this pharmacy and Josh for anyone looking for expert and compassionate care!

I always get good service when shopping in the perfume section, I’m indecisive so I appreciate the patience given!

The manager is incompetent in understanding or resolving obvious shipping label issues and charges customers for tax on packages that were never sent by the sender or intended for recipient and refuse to refund or resolve anything and should not be working in customer service or with the public at all. Thanks for ripping me off!!! What an absolutely miserable "manager", disgusting behavior

Absolutely horrendous experience here. This is the second important package the carrier has lost and the service rep at the post office was rude, demeaning, and refused to answer any of my questions. I asked for the customer service number to create a ticket for our lost package and she rudely told me she had already given it to my husband. I asked if she could have the respect and decency to give it to me also, and she accused me of being disrespectful and indecent with her, rolled her eyes, and walked away without helping me. I asked her coworker if I had been indecent or disrespectful and the coworker just gave me a sad apologetic look and the customer service number I had asked for. If you see a short woman with straight reddish brown hair, ask to be helped by anyone else because she's miserable and wants everyone else to be miserable too. How she's employed still is beyond me.

Absolutely terrible. Thanks to this place being no help and somehow “misplacing” my grad photos, then changing their minds and saying they apparently gave it to someone else, I will now never receive them. They also don’t answer the damn phone and most of the staff is just outright nasty and condescending.

The people here are great. Office staff are kind and the carriers are helpful when I need to know something.

Terrible customer service and rude lady working the counter who states been there 15 years and with all that time and experience would not look up a Canada post number commercial department number, as it would just be wrong to help a customer.
