Rula and her team did not disappoint! Our wedding was May 16th. Rula went above and beyond for us from picking up our wedding favours and dropping them to the venue to doing a beautiful memorial table for my husband’s mother. She put so much thought and effort into executing the perfect decor. Our guests were blown away. Weddings can be very stressful but Rula made sure to take care of everything day of; she did not contact us with any issues and made sure to keep us focused on just showing up and having a good time. MC Malik provided MC services for my daughter's sweet 16 and did so effortlessly. He engaged the crowd as soon as he grabbed the mic. He organized a game that got everyone involved, regardless of age group. I had guests ask if he was a relative, that's how good he is... he totally integrated himself like he's part of the family. I never thought we needed a MC, but so glad that we had MC Malik there.

We worked with Gee The MC for our August wedding. He was absolutely amazing. The lines of communication were always open and he delivered the experience he promised. My husband and I wanted someone who could bring energy to the party while being respectful to our grandparents who were in attendance. He did that and more! From the entrance, to the selfie rush, to the speech introductions….to my hubby’s scandalous dancing. Gee knew how to maneuver the motions of our event. Our family is still talking about him today! Everyone loved him!

Atelier Carmel did my wedding florals and I was blown away! Carmel was totally open to my minimal floral vision, and somehow still made the florals absolutely pop. Her style is so unique and contemporary, it absolutely elevated my community center wedding. Working with her was very easy, her communications were super clear, and the final product was so gorgeous my guests were raving about it. I would recommend Atelier Carmel for anyone looking for striking florals!

We hired Xinqi and Peter for our pre-wedding and wedding photography, as well as for decoration, makeup, hairstyling, and wedding dress rental. They were both incredibly responsive and patient throughout the entire process.

I hired Boudoir Studio for my wedding this past Aug 27th and it was the most perfect decision I have ever made. Xinqi is extremely meticulous and patient. It was easy to communicate with her, she always replied very quickly and answered all my questions in the most professional manner. She simplified my planning by making a schedule for the makeup times as I had many bridesmaids and family members. She did the most wonderful job on the day of. My mother, aunt and all my bridesmaids were all so happy of their makeup. Xinqi always had a lovely smile and really helped relax the atmosphere while she worked. As someone who never wears makeup, I was completely blown away by my wedding day makeup, I was so so so pleased ! I do not think I can thank Boudoir Studio enough for making my big day so perfect ! I would highly recommend her to any future brides, I will definitely think about Boudoir for my next events.

Xinqi was very professional and nice from the beginning. I had a hard time finding an Asian make-up artist that is available in the Ottawa area initially, so when I found her I was very grateful she could accommodate. Even though based in Montreal, she didn’t hesitate to be willing to come to Ottawa for my big day, even though it would be a very early day for her. During the trial she listened carefully to the style I wanted to achieve and upon showing her some pictures, she was able to execute the desired style perfectly. She did and excellent job with my hair and make-up for two different looks for the day. I have very little experience with make-up but she was able to accentuate my Asian features very well, especially for the eyes. Her husband and herself also took some very nice pictures to capture our day as a nice bonus!:) Definitely recommend!

I can’t even begin to put into words how incredible this team of lovely people are. They made all of our wedding dreams come true with ease, grace and thoughtfulness. All of worries were solved before they could become a rolling ball of stress. All of our guests were in awe of the simple beauty and attention to detail. To say we loved our day is an understatement. BEST DATE OF MY LIFE! I planned a surprise date for my special person while we were vacationing in the Banff area. WOW- did Amanda deliver! We arrived to the most beautiful picnic, perfectly set up with everything you could dream of! Cannot recommend Captivating Occasions enough! We hired Lexine and Amanda as our day of coordinators and they made everything before and during our wedding so fun and so much less stressful. They go through every detail you can think of about 3 months out and it really helps you gauge where you’re at with planning. Day of they took care of everything from logistics to making our reception venue decor dreams come true. Amanda and Lexine are single handedly responsible for the stress free wedding day that my husband and I were able to enjoy. We spent a year planning our day and Captivating Occasions was right there to provide guidance all along the way. The spreadsheet that these two put together to keep our wedding day on track was so appreciated by not only us but all our vendors. Amanda and Lexine ran our rehearsal, set up our decor, ran our wedding day and came back late in the evening to take everything down and pack up. As the Bride and Groom we truly didn't have to worry about a thing all day and not to mention our parents and bridal party were also able to fully enjoy the day. Amanda and Lexine created a group chat with us and were available for questions leading up to the wedding, and also sent us a bunch of behind the scenes pictures and videos from the day of which was an unexpected surprise. Here is another professional in the wedding industry who knows what to do and has an impeccable eye for detail. Fiona is a talented stylist / decorator and brought my wedding vision to life. While I did not hire her to be my day-of wedding coordinator (as I didn’t need it with my venue), I know she offers this service as well and would highly recommend her and her company!

Fiona Lau and her team were invaluable to our wedding planning. We paid for Full Planning and I recommend this package for every couple who can afford a wedding planner (very reasonable prices). Fiona is the perfect balance of highly organized and going with the flow; ensuring important issues are promptly addressed while not letting minor details bog us down. She is exceptionally team-oriented ensuring that I, André and all the vendors felt like we were all on the same page. She was crucial to making our planning process and wedding so enjoyable.

Some of my favourite moments:
- When our first officiant had to cancel (many months before the wedding thankfully), Fiona helped us book a new amazing officiant within 24 hours.
- When we had the final meeting with our venue, Fiona did all the heavy lifting so Andre and I spent most of that meeting in our own world admiring the venue. We only chimed in when they needed our opinion.
- My mother coming into my bridal suite saying, "What is this?! I am the mother of the bride, I am supposed to be stressed but I have nothing to do!"
- During the wedding, I was completely in the moment without a worry. Everything was magically in the right place during the event. Even when I got home, I went through all my stuff worried that something had been forgotten at the venue but it was all in place...I don't even know when they did that but I know that was Fiona and Danielle's doing!

I am absolutely happy with my decision to hire Fiona as a coordinator with partial planning support for my wedding in 2023. If you are planning a wedding and wondering if these services are worthwhile, they absolutely are and will make the entire process and day-of much, much less stressful.

This review will be long, but I wanted to provide as much detail as possible to help you make an informed decision and know what to expect.

Fiona was very professional, kind, and patient throughout the entire process. We met regularly both in-person and virtually on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, where Fiona would check up on our progress and identify what we needed to do next. As we did not have family in the area who could help us, we found her recommendations and checklists vital to our success.

She helped us by pulling together a vision board complete with the colours we'd chosen to help with decorative aspects and finding the perfect venue. She was happy to provide a list of vendor recommendations, but definitely was not pushy and will work with anyone you have chosen.

She set up templates to document and track our budget, decorations, guest list and more. All of this is done in Google Drive and easily accessed and shared with whoever needs to be involved.

Once we'd chosen and contacted vendors, Fiona attended many of our meetings with them. This is very helpful because she asked so many questions that I had never even thought of to ensure all bases are covered. She reviewed our contracts before we signed and highlight anything which seemed non-standard, missing, or that we should clarify. This was very reassuring given the amount of money at stake.

Fiona developed the schedule for the day and worked with the coordinator at the venue and with all of our vendors. The day of, Fiona and her staff were basically *the* fairy crew. Fiona's team received all of our deliveries, in some cases picked things up for us, ensured that the venue was set up, kept the day on running schedule, stepped in to help wherever it is needed, and also helps the wedding parties as they get ready and during photos.

As a result, our day was fun, stress free, and absolutely worth it.

Don't hesitate to hire Fiona!

Fiona was a superstar helping us plan our wedding! From our first conversation she made me and my husband feel so comfortable and it was so clear to us that not only is she an amazing support, she definitely takes charge! Our communication lasted for over a year and she kept us on track for acquiring vendors, and coming up with our vision for the day. By the time our wedding rolled around, I was very comfortable knowing that Fiona had our backs and was going to make it the best day possible so that we could relax and just enjoy ourselves. The definite highlight of working with Fiona was the wedding day and knowing that she had everything under control.

Held a small (under 50 person) wedding here over the Thanksgiving weekend, we sure lucked out with weather! This little gem was perfect for our family and friends to gather. An old house, but with cute accents and details. It was perfect. We did leave a note with those minor technical issues! They had folding chairs and tables, I was able to tuck away the house decor in the cupboards and put up our table clothes, decor and floral arrangements!
Beds are a bit hard but wasn’t a huge make or break for me.
The huge deck out back really helped make it feel fun, and gave space for everyone to hang out and not be elbow to elbow inside. For the back yard we got more leaves to cover some of the patchy grass from autumn, but a decently sized yard. Highly recommend for a cozy feeling! I will cherish the memories made here.

May not only find the best cost efficient options, she negotiated and negotiated until we get the best bang for our buck. I trust her so much to the point I chase after her to say: “May how can I pay you and Fleur more to do more for me? Can you please help me with rehearsal dinner/afterparty?” I just knew it was gonna make this best decision I made on Fleur an even better one.

🍬 and boy did I have the best 36 hours of my life, from rehearsal dinner the night before to the afterparty into the early morning after. There was no a single thing I needed to worry about beside enjoying myself. Even though we had 100 guests, countless boat rides, two literal buses - I didn’t even spare a second on worrying logistics and can focus all of myself with friends, family, loved ones and my new husband. Where can I start ? Working with Amanda has been simply amazing . From the second I walked into her office she has impressed me with her kindness and her ability to listen to each persons preferences. She is the most resourceful and helpful person I have worked with. She did all my decorations for my wedding that just passed and let me tell you everything was perfect. Amanda has so many different amazing decorations for all different tastes. We did the reception at a restaurant and Amanda managed to make it look just like a hall. Also , I had a problem with my staircase in front of the house and she went beyond my expectations and she managed to hide the staircase without me even asking her . Like I said , she goes above and beyond for her clients and I would recommend her to anyone that is planning an event. She is also super easy to reach and she answered my messages within minutes.

A wedding at home is a beautiful nightmare, and Bree was my superhero!

From start to finish, Bree was an absolute lifesaver. She was hired to execute my vision on the wedding day and let me actually enjoy the moment. But she did so much more than that. I called her with my random questions, crazy ideas, and even just to vent about vendors. She was patient, kind, and always knew how to steer me in the right direction.

The best decision I made when planning my wedding was hiring Bree and her team for design and day of coordination. Bree is so organized, supportive and the best at what she does! We had a wonderful trip. Shelly Neal did an impressive booklet to go along with our recent cruise so we knew exactly what to expect on board and at port each day. She did our pre trip hotel stay, had our luggage taken to the ship and everything just fit into place from our parking spot to our excursions at port. It made our travel a very relaxed hassle free experience. 👍

Anita at Kalidescope travel was so helpful. We wanted to experience a stay at an over water bungalow resort. Anita’s suggestion and attention to what we wanted was right on. Our view was magical from our bungalow and the resort and staff were amazing.

The trip was fantastic! The condo was amazing with the most spectacular views. We could see whales and sea turtles from our balcony! I loved the area we were in and the beach access from our condo! The sunsets were breath taking each night! All travel and flights worked very well.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Leaside Studio's. We had an event for 20 women on June 24th and it was the perfect atmosphere. When you walk it's bright, very clean, great furniture and props, cozy, comfortable, kitchen which we needed, warm ambience and most of all our host Ashley. Ashley helped us set-up (moving some furniture around), took pictures and videos for us, interacted with the group, participated in our event (we invited her to join), supported our needs and was very informative on content creation.
The space is great for any event that doesn't exceed more than 25-30 people, depending on what you are doing.
Highly recommend this space for what I noted above, but the prices to rent it are very reasonable. They offer a variety of packages as well.

Love this studio and love Ania. When I was planning an in person event, Ania helped in so many ways. I’m not from Canada but my co-creator of the event is. Her team and her took care of the small details I forgot to think about. Plus love love the space. It’s specious enough for 25-30 people. And I love the fun places to create content all around the studio. If you are thinking of doing a live recording of a podcast or live streaming show or just creating short videos for your social media. Or even planning an event to having a meeting, choose Leaside Studio. You will not regret it.

I’ve been to this venue twice for women’s networking events and it’s been such a wonderful experience. The space is welcoming and bright. We were able to capture such great content there. I will definitely be renting this space for my upcoming events!

Absolutely phenomenal experience with Mme. Amelie - she's a talent beyond compare! She made my vision come true into the most stunning cape for my wedding dress. Incredible design, exceptional communication and quick work - would give six stars if I could!

I'm so happy to have stumbled across Amelie during my search for my wedding dress in April 2021. We decided to get married six weeks before our date and I was worried I wouldn't find anything I liked. Amelie is such an amazing and talented seamstress and was able to create exactly what I wanted in such a quick turnaround (3-4 weeks!)

My experience with her was always pleasant and she was never pushy when it came to any decisions being made during the process. In fact, she offered alternatives and was able to work within my budget by offering other material that would essential re-create the same look.

The consultation visit involved trying on the different tops and bottoms to help decide what style dress you're looking for. I knew I wanted the jupe oiseau de paradis, but was uncertain with the top. With no hesitation at all, Amelie created two different style tops to try during our first fitting and I was able to make any final decisions from there with the top cassiopee. She even made a matching face mask.

With every fitting that followed ( there were 3 in total), Amelie was careful to make sure everything was perfect. By visit 3, the dress is yours and you take it home. There's even a nice finished touch but I won't spoil that surprise for you!

Communication was very quick as Amelie always replied within the same day. She was willing to be flexible with her schedule to work with yours when it came to follow-up appointments. Payment for the dress was also made in 3 instalments, and she accepts e-transfer.
