Hoda's is the best catering I've dealt with in Montreal. They always reply fast and deliver even faster. My favorite dish is Kebbe and they've been able to satisfy my cravings 100% of the time. I'd definitely recommend it.

Susan and her team catered an event for our organization at Stampede for 300 people. The food and service was amazing. She was very committed to making sure everything ran smoothly and that we were happy with the results. The food was all fresh and very tasty. I really like that she makes her own desserts and doesn't just buy the pre-made ones that other caterers use. We will definitely be hiring her again next year!

We recently held an anniversary celebration at our acreage near Cochrane. There were 50 guests. We retained Kiss Catering to provide the food services for our gathering as we had heard very good things about them from various sources. Susan Kiss was very accommodating with selecting the menu to meet our wishes. On the day of the event, Susan and her staff arrived and set up on time. They were ready to serve our guests at the agreed time but were delayed because our entertainment was delayed. In spite of this half hour delay, the food service was excellent with hot items still hot. Susan’s staff then looked after cleaning up their area as well as collecting the plates, utensils and napkins from around our eating area. We were very happy with the service and the food provided by Susan. She and her staff were very pleasant and accommodating even with the delay in our program. We would highly recommend Kiss Catering.

I have used Kiss Catering for years now, Susan is fantastic at what she does and never disappoints. She is honest and knows how to make your event catering (big or small) just right! The food is always hot, fresh and DELICIOUS!!! We can't wait for our next event that needs catering!

Susan Kiss never disappoints. She was able to help me through one of Canada's largest cyber events in history and her food is amazing. She helped feed over 150 emergency response staff breakfast, lunch and dinner for an entire month, during the Calgary Stampede and Canada long weekend. I will use her over and over again. Thanks Susan! One of my favorites is her lasagna and taco bar. Her famous cookies are treat!

Susan took great care to work with our organization in the lead-up to the event to make sure the food service fit in with the scheduling of our day. We ordered from Kitchen59 for our New Year's eve dinner. As you can see from the picture it was a very fancy setting so I needed amazing quality to impress my guests.

The ordering process was very easy. Antoine (the owner) walked us through the menu and was extremely flexible with all the options and variations we wanted. We then placed our order and picked it up from the pickup location.

Food presentation: the food was extremely well packed and secured within the containers so we were not worried about transportation. The presentation itself was amazing (as you can see from the pictures). My guests found them extremely professional (FYI I requested the aluminum containers for easier handling and disposing)

The taste: IT WAS DELICIOUS. Everyone stopped having a conversation because the food was soooo good. The meat and chicken were so juicy, the garlic was extremely well balanced, perfect taste with very little after taste or bad breath. The rice was cooked to perfection and the salad dressing was very good. My guests were fighting to take leftovers!

Rich… where do I START?! Hands down the best bao’s… a deep bow is the only honourable way to respect these dishes. The sweet heat and the pork belly are my personal favourite. The salty, sweet and savoury combination is unmatched. The roasted cauliflower has crispy chickpeas coated in a cilantro tahini that will make you pinch yourself because you’ll think you’re dreaming… The pepper shrimp roll is extremely addictive and don’t you dare ask how many I’ve had… I’m supposed to be on a cut. If you have the privilege to have Chef Rich cook for you then you’ll be able to check one more thing off that bucket list! 5/5 stars because you can’t give 6. See you this weekend!

Knotted Roots is hidden gem. It's tucked away inside Shelter Cocktail Bar where the chef blends his experiences and culture into approachable dishes for everyone. He has a nice range from small bites and larger dishes meant to be shared. If there's ever a feature, be sure to get it!

Outstanding.....came to Shelter bar for a drink and experienced the BEST Bao's I've ever had!!!! We had a dinner reservation at a different spot and canceled after 1 bite. Knotted Roots was an absolute culinary treat. Hidden gem in Calgary and absolute must for foodies!!!

I've been to the cathedral of cologne to the pillars of Hercules, I've seen mount Fuji and the hot springs of bath... But I have never experienced the love... The passion... The art.. the skill of rich. McLaren doesn't make food, he makes experiences, he doesn't activate taste buds, he builds life long memories. Rich is one of a kind. The world needs more of rich 😍

We hired Jess w La Belle Graze for our granddaughter's Sip & See. I can honestly say that the food and display were even better than I had imagined. Our guests were in awe of the presentation and really enjoyed the food. I thoroughly enjoyed not having to worry about a thing as far as food was concerned - worth every penny.

Jessica and the team at Le Belle Graze prepared an absolutely wonderful afternoon for my daughter’s bridal shower. The food was fantastic! The gluten free scones, tarts and tea sandwiches were the best I’ve ever had. Jessica worked with my vision for the afternoon and added her creative expertise to make the whole event spectacular. I wanted to feel like we were having a luxurious high-tea in a garden… but in Calgary in April that is a tough challenge. Jessica transformed the venue and the table-scape into a stunning garden. Jess and team, were fabulous! I found them online when I was looking for someone to cater for my husband’s 40th birthday and our vow renewal at home. From putting my request through to Jess getting back to me, then sending me proposals and answering my million questions, making changes a gazillion times, she was patient and lovely. INCREDIBLE! We hired chef Antoine and his team to our office Christmas party and I was a hit. The food was the best I ever had, the team was very nice and professional. We have a few dietary restrictions in the team (no gluten, no lactose, vegetarian) and he still delivered an incredible dinner to everyone. High recommend, looking forward to having it again.

Just an incredible dinner experience!! We were in town for a bachelorette, and Chef Antoine created an amazing dinner for us. He accommodated all of our dietary constraints while still serving up so many delicious courses. His vegan dishes were outstanding - one guest has been vegan for many years and said it was the best vegan meal she'd ever had. And the fact he was able to do such a high end dinner in an airbnb kitchen that was barely stocked was simply magical. Incredible service from Michel as well!! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Chef Jennifer whipped up an incredible birthday dinner for my partner and I this past winter. We still talk about the food, even months later; the menu was very creative, platted beautifully, and, most importantly of all, delicious.

Wonderful pizza. It's nice and fresh. It tastes great and the portions aren't too big, perfect for parties or any type of gathering. The crust I especially liked, it's nice and fluffy without being too airy.

We are so thankful for Amanda from Meraki Cuisine. She worked with us on short notice (after a previous vendor had to cancel our date) to create a fully customized menu for our wedding night. Amanda and her husband helped to guide us in choosing passed appetizers and plated mains that fit our Al Fresco Italian dinner party dreams. We had the most amazing tasting a few months before our big day, so good that my mother-in-law also booked Amanda and team for my bridal shower! Amanda is super organized and helped bring my foodie dreams to life for our wedding night! She also organized serving staff, bartenders and all the rentals for our dinner - I am still being told how amazing the food and service on the wedding day was almost a full year later.

I had the chance to try Meraki for the first time over the weekend at the Taste of Calgary event downtown.

These events stand as a promotional tool first, and an opportunity to make money second. Quite honestly, Meraki seems to be the only group that got the memo haha.

I was in a large group and got to try a very large range of offerings from 20+ vendors at the event. Generally speaking, it was overwhelmingly lacklustre with slapped together, low effort offerings being offered up to make a quick buck.

If this event had a winner, however, Meraki would be the standalone without question. Only wish I had tried more of what they had before running out of time.

What I did try was the truffle and mushroom Arancini, and the brisket with cornbread.

Before even tasting anything, I was delighted to see the effort put into presentation.

The expectation was completely fulfilled when I tasted both of these dishes. Complex flavour profiles with excellent execution. Folks, this ain’t all that hard to do but it’s astounding how many people in this industry don’t bother. It’s so refreshing to see someone who does.

The team looked like a well oiled machine running the truck as well. One of the chefs, Chelsea, took the time to explain the many details of the brisket dish which to a nerd like me is always a great enhancer to the experience.

Can’t wait to try more at the next opportunity, Meraki! Very well done.

I can't get enough of Meraki!

I've had the pleasure of indulging in nearly everything Meraki has to offer: Private caterings, Corporate events, and their most-amazing Food Truck was all over the city this year!

I feel three things after finishing their food. I feel full, I feel satisfied, and I feel like I want to try it again as soon as I can!

Food aside, I can't say enough about the professionalism of the Meraki team. They were always on time for our personal and corporate events and they did everything with a smile. No matter what the challenge was, the response was always immediate and top notch.

Rest assured that the quality does not deviate when eating from their food truck either. The menu items are all unique and the flavor is impactful. "OMG!" is a common phrase you will find yourself uttering after the first and last bite. Its amazing how fast they are as well, especially when lineups are wrapping around the block. Lastly, they are able to keep it interesting with their rotating menu every month. It's nice because it's not the same old food truck one grows tired of after a couple of times. You certainly don't see that caliber of creativity with other food trucks in the city, and before you know it, you'll find yourself making an excuse to track them down for lunch or dinner.

All in all, I am thrilled that there is an affordable service with restaurant quality food that is finally in our city. I wish they had arrived sooner!

Hey Meraki.....Restaurant please!?

We ordered Meraki cuisine afternoon tea and were so impressed! The presentation was absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious! We ordered afternoon tea boxes, as well as a children's afternoon tea box. After doing many afternoon teas in England, this was like being back there during a time when travel is not really possible. It made a birthday celebration very special. We were so taken with the presentation and the experience. Amanda was very responsive and excellent to work with. You can tell she truly loves what she does! I would highly recommend any cuisine offerings from Meraki cuisine!

Meraki Cuisine hosted a food truck party at our house in September of 2021. It was fantastic! Amanda, the owner, is great to deal with, so professional, and the food was so tasty with lots of variety. The party was a blast and I would highly recommend Meraki Cuisine!!

I have been using MOSO for my family’s prepared meals due to the pandemic and they are nothing short of great. Whether it’s fully cooked meals or cleaned, cut, pre-portioned meals ready for us to quickly put together this is an amazing service. We have tried a few others and this is by far the most organized.

I was at an event catered by MOSO and the food was incredible, and their staff is extremely professional and friendly.

We can’t get enough of the tequeños! My boyfriend and I are obsessed, he even refers to them as “soul food”. I’ve been a fan for a long time, and I genuinely believe they have the best flavour in the city. I appreciate that they provide the exact frying time for the tequeños so they always come out perfectly. We’re also super excited for the pastelitos!

I’ve been a client of this Venezuelan catering service since they were a much smaller business, and the quality has been exceptional from the very beginning. As they’ve grown and become busier, the food and customer service have remained consistently amazing.

I’m often a last-minute person, and they always do their best to accommodate my rushed orders—something I truly appreciate. Their attention to detail and warmth make every interaction a pleasure.

I highly recommend the pan de jamón—it’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. The tres leches is divine, and the tequeños are always a huge hit with both my kids and my Canadian friends.

It’s been 11 years since my wife and I were in Venezuela and Nelicious brought back some good memories. Everything was very good but the cachitos and tequenos were probably the best I have ever had and the special Nelicious sauce was excellent. Looking forward to our next order.

Nelicious is a bit pricey, but the food is AMAZING! I ordered tequenos, mandocas, pastelitos and a torta de arequipe... and OMG it was amazing. My family and I were so happy to taste real Venezuelan food again. Highly recommend this place!

We hired Oliver & Bonacini Catering for an event in mid-August for 70 people, and the food was great. We did a mix of chef-stations with passed canapés, and the team really did a great job. Leading up to the event, Oliver & Bonacini Catering, did a great job in answering all our questions, and held a tasting for the food which was nice. They were able to cater to all our guests, including those with dietary restrictions and allergies (incl. vegetarian, vegan, dairy-allergy, nut allergies etc.). We would definitely use O&B again.

I had the crew of Oliver & Bonacini for an outdoor event a month ago and can not say enough about the company and the team they sent to work my event. We held a small Graduation Dinner for family over the long weekend.
The food and service were more than great quality, not one complaint in terms of taste (a couple people asked for recipes). They really went above and beyond to work within our budget and were even receptive to last minute changes due to food allergies.

They were able to provide a bar tender for our event as well and we couldn't have been more happy with her. Very sweet and professional girl who offered and was willing to jump in and help when she saw me starting to pack up and clean.

The food was delicious — every course was so good, and we enjoyed every bite. After the meal, he left the kitchen spotless, which was such a treat. It was a great experience to work with Chef Nicholas. I had hired him for a 50th birthday event for a friend. He was easy to talk to and suggested various options for the party. We finalized on a cocktail party with a mix of pass around h'ors d'oeuvres and small plates from his appetizer and entrée listing.  He also provided some wine suggestions to pair with the food and that was that.

The day of the event, he arrived early and began setting up and prepping in the kitchen. By the time the guests arrived an hour later he was ready with the first item. It was then a perfect cadence of incoming beautifully plated and served food.

We had chose about 8 items from his extensive menus. Our most favorite ones were the Tuna Teriyaki on Wonton Crisps and Wasabi Mayonnaise, Roasted Garlic & Brie Tartlets, Crispy Asparagus Fries, Coconut Shrimp with Pear Chutney, and the Almond Creme Brulee!

All the guests absolutely enjoyed the experience and Chef Nicholas was not shy to engage with us - even joined in the party game and other festivities. Also, the cake that I had purchased elsewhere he offered to cut and serve which was a great help as it was pretty big and full of detailed decorations that needed to be carefully taken off.

I hired him to cater dinner for my Mum & Grandad, and boy did he make it a special night for us! Delicious food and wonderful conversation - Chef does not dissapoint! This is a hidden gem. Hands down the best Senegalese food in Ottawa (Also better than Montreal’s). This is probably my 10th time ordering. Sadiya never disappoints! Highly recommend 15/10!!

Simplicity Catering filled all my needs and made the planning of our event, Celebration of Life, so very much easier on me. We had the gourmet sandwiches and everyone raved about them.
I was able to plan out the estimated number of attendees vs the food and beverages required with Gord till we settled on a plan.
We also hired 1 of their servers to help for the whole event which left me to handle everything else.
We would use them again in a heart beat...

Absolutely delicious food! We used Taraju caterers for our Diwali celebration at home and everyone found the food to be very tasty. They do a great job at estimating the amount of food needed for a specific group size, which in our case was 50. The food came to us on time as well.

Taraju Caterers was the right decision for our first catering experience of Indian food. We had food delivered for our event with 60 people. Everybody raved about the food. It was hot and fresh, and the spice level was mild as requested. They made a timely delivery, the food was packaged well, quantities were excellent, and the owner was professional and friendly. We ordered vegetarian dishes for a small gathering. The chef was very accommodating and offered helpful advice in selecting the dishes and the volume needed for the group. Everybody enjoyed the food. Veggie pakora was my favourite. Delicious food ... excellent service. ... great price. I am glad I found Taraju and I am happy to recommend them for Indian-Nepalese food in Ottawa.

Feedback for Healthy Kids Catering

Healthy Kids Catering provided lunch for our summer camp, and we had a great experience working with them. They were always on time with deliveries, worked within our budget, and most importantly, were responsive to our feedback. As we navigated the challenge of matching the children’s likes and dislikes, they listened carefully and made thoughtful adjustments.

The food was consistently healthy, well-packaged, and kid-friendly. Their professionalism and flexibility made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We truly appreciated their partnership throughout the summer!

We loved having Healthy Kidz Catering provide lunches for our soccer camp this summer. The staff was friendly, prompt and super accommodating of any last minute changes, dietary restrictions, etc.

We used Taste for our daughter’s wedding reception — passed hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour and a sit-down dinner for 100 guests. The food was great, from the risotto ball appetizers to the kale Caesar and herb-crusted beef. And the servers were excellent.

We worked with HealthyKidz to provide meals for kid in our summer camp, and overall, the quality of their food was great. They worked closely with us to customize a menu that was perfect for an active camp environment.

Although we had a few small hiccups early on, the team was quick to follow through and made sure those issues didn’t happen again. Their responsiveness and commitment to resolving concerns really stood out. They were also incredibly flexible and accommodating with our budget and specific requests, which made the entire process smooth and efficient.

Shoutout to Frank, he was always on top of everything, with amazing attention to detail and a pleasure to work with. Thanks also to Kathy, the owner, for being so involved, genuinely listening to our feedback, and making sure everything was adjusted to meet our needs.
