I am extremely grateful for Amanda! We hired Amanda for the day of. We didn't want to think or worry about anything that day. If you think you don't need a day of wedding planner, think again and if you think you can go with just anyone THINK AGAIN! The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Everything, every person, every moment. The days leading up to the wedding, Amanda went above and beyond what was expected of her. If I was stressed out about anything, I just had to call her and she would take care of everything! She was well organized and most importantly you can tell that she genuinely cared! I don't know how anyone can plan a wedding without Amanda!

As my wife would say; she is such a joy to work with, honest, sincere and incredibly helpful with her immense wealth of knowledge of the wedding industry.

Amanda is truly the best in the business! She will tell what she offers, and how she can help make your day less stressful.... now times that by 1000 and that is the amount of heart and work she will put into making your dream wedding day come true! She doesn’t just “do the job” she promised; she truly made me feel like she cared about my day just as much as I did. I was completely stress free for my wedding ( which I did not think was possible) and the day was more perfect and beautiful than I could’ve even imagined in my wildest dreams. If you do not hire Amanda, it will be a mistake. ( also, all of this is being said, and I actually at one time was working in wedding planning myself, so my expectations were quite high)

we started our wedding journey thinking "we got this!!!" oh no we didn't! after booking our major vendors, giving ourselves a pat on the back and taking a "well deserved break" it was roughly 6 months to our wedding and we felt like nothing had been done... already so much was going wrong (but that's another story) so i reached out to Amanda (who also happens to be an incredible cousin) she took the reins right away on top of her already busy schedule to help us plan the wedding of our dreams! we felt absolutely 0 stress in the days leading up to the wedding! as a bride, i thought i would've been nervous and what not... nop, i was DIY-ing a sweater that i wanted to wear the day of the wedding 2 days before! thats how at ease we were before the wedding! I recommend her to anyone getting married or planning an event if they want total peace of mind! Amanda is the most organized person in the world and so good at what she does that words can't even describe how amazing she is at what she does and who she is as a person! Amanda, i am so eternally grateful for everything you have done! thank you, thank you, thank you!

We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant for our wedding! Rev. Bonnie delivered a wonderful, non-religious ceremony that felt perfectly tailored to us. A pleasure to work with, she was very responsive and friendly. Included us in every step and was extremely accommodating to everything we envisioned. Every moment of our ceremony was personalized for us, and she included a printed copy for us to take home. We had many changes due to unforeseen circumstances and she was quick to react and edit as necessary. We bonded with her immediately and connected with her on many levels. My husband and I got married in August 2023, and Bonnie was our officiant.

From the time leading up to the wedding, she was always staying in touch with us, and providing us with a sense of comfort. She knew exactly the questions to ask, and the ideas to suggest, to get to the heart of who we were and what would make our ceremony special. The result was that, our ceremony was beautiful and tailored to us.

Bonnie instilled in us the confidence of knowing that our special day would be overseen by someone who had a sincere, genuine and heartfelt involvement in its success. Bonnie is really such a warm and caring person, and will listen and guide you to find the meaningful ceremony that expresses who you are as a couple. Many of our guests complimented us on how nice the ceremony was. She was easy to work with, and extremely accommodating! I would highly recommend Bonnie.

When we were looking for a non denominational officiant we (luckily) found Bonnie. We ended up meeting with her and we just knew she was the one we wanted to marry us. She took the time to understand us, our wedding vision, and what we were looking for in a ceremony. She offered ideas of ceremonies we could use and was always available for questions through our ceremony planning and vow writing. On the day of the wedding she arrived before the wedding and was a true pro during the wedding, the ceremony was excellent! Afterwards she even kindly waited for us to finish our photos before stepping out since my mother in law had given her her purse to hold thinking she was a guest haha but Bonnie did not mind and just waited patiently. I was so happy we chose her and she was available for our day. Would highly recommend her to anyone!

Barbara was amazing she really captured who we are in our ceremony to make our wedding so special,took her time and was extremely prepared and patient and never once rushed is. Canter Ben is amazing! We interviewed several people and within 5 minutes of meeting Ben we knew he was the right person to marry us. Ben has an incredibly warm presence and is very passionate. Cannot recommend Captivating Occasions enough! We hired Lexine and Amanda as our day of coordinators and they made everything before and during our wedding so fun and so much less stressful. They go through every detail you can think of about 3 months out and it really helps you gauge where you’re at with planning. Day of they took care of everything from logistics to making our reception venue decor dreams come true. Also be sure to check out River Rock Retreat which is their wedding venue (we had our ceremony here) and it was absolutely perfect!! Amanda and Lexine are single handedly responsible for the stress free wedding day that my husband and I were able to enjoy. We spent a year planning our day and Captivating Occasions was right there to provide guidance all along the way. The spreadsheet that these two put together to keep our wedding day on track was so appreciated by not only us but all our vendors. Amanda and Lexine ran our rehearsal, set up our decor, ran our wedding day and came back late in the evening to take everything down and pack up. As the Bride and Groom we truly didn't have to worry about a thing all day and not to mention our parents and bridal party were also able to fully enjoy the day. Amanda and Lexine created a group chat with us and were available for questions leading up to the wedding, and also sent us a bunch of behind the scenes pictures and videos from the day of which was an unexpected surprise. We would recommend these two for any event!

We could have chosen no better officiant for our ceremony. Before our wedding, we took part in Martin's Marriage Preparation course which taught us about thinking intentionally about our values and how to blend those values and understand each other better. And for the weeks leading up to our ceremony, Martin helped craft a beautifully written ceremony that truly captured our relationship. He drew on humour, kindness and authenticity which was felt both by us and all of our loved ones.

My husband and I were married by Nick this past April at The Grand Hotel in Carleton Place. Nick had a zoom call with us just for us to meet him before we made our decision, which many others did not offer. It just took that call and we had to look no further. We had Keith as our officiant for our wedding and he made our wedding day a dream come true. Helen was awesome, sweet (like her name!), lovely, and easy to work with. She made our intimate park wedding feel so personal. I loved that we were able to customize the ceremony script and how we wanted it to go. And for someone like me who can sometimes get anxious, my partner and I felt very supported with her guidance and opinions on things. She was punctual, organized, and also accommodating and understanding when one of our guests was running late to the ceremony. I would recommend Helen 100% no matter what kind of wedding you have!

Can’t express our thanks enough! Helen made the day so memorable. I was a bundle of nerves, but she created an atmosphere of calm and joy. We felt the weight of the moment and the emotional impact even with just a short moment to say vows and complete the legal signing at her office. Michel went above and beyond our expectations to create a ceremony that we will absolutely cherish forever!! We found ourselves in a bit of a scramble the week of our wedding when our original officiant had to cancel. Jacqueline stepped in on short notice and completely turned the situation around. She met with us the very day she confirmed her availability and immediately brought a perfect mix of calm, humour, and confidence that put us at ease.

With only a few hours to prepare for our meeting, she somehow managed to find genuine, meaningful connections to our story and wove them into a ceremony that felt incredibly personal and full of heart. She’s outgoing, thoughtful, and quick on her feet—and we honestly believe she did a better job than our original officiant could have. What started as a stressful last-minute change ended up being one of the best things that could’ve happened.

Our guests were equally impressed. Many told us how funny, engaging, and natural she was—and several remarked that it felt like she had known us for years. A few even said they wanted to use her for their own celebration of life or if they ever get remarried!

We’re so grateful she was part of our day. She truly delivered an outstanding ceremony, and we couldn’t have imagined it any other way.

With all of the decisions that are involved with planning a wedding, Jacquie was by far the best decision we made. From the first meeting we had with her we felt so at ease with the whole process. She made the rehearsal so much fun and our ceremony was tailored the exact way we had hoped. Jane is nothing short of amazing. From the moment we met her, she put us at ease. She is relaxed yet professional, friendly and organized. She made the entire process simple and straight forward, during a time when the most basic task can seem overwhelming. It’s clear Jane cares deeply for the couples she works with and creates a unique ceremony for each wedding. She provides great examples for a ceremony and advice on how to personalize it. She also just has a way of making the nerves melt away when standing at the alter so that you can be wholly present in the moment (even when the unexpected train makes a cameo during the ceremony!).

It is hard to put into works how thankful and appreciative we are to Jane. From start to finish she was so easy to communicate with and it was very easy to find times to meet up as she was very accommodating to our schedules. Jane is truly a gem. We truly lucked out in being able to have her be our wedding commissioner. We initially met with her at a Starbucks and we were blown away by what a kind and authentic professional we were dealing with. Jane also has a PA system which really helped project our voices as our ceremony was outdoors. She has an amazing personality and was so thoughtful, friendly and fun throughout the whole process. From the moment we sat down with Jane she was an absolute delight to work with. She made the ceremony a priority every time we met to chat, and truly showed an interest in our lives for the short period of time we spent together.
