We recently had the pleasure of hiring DJ Vicious for my 50th birthday celebration, and he was absolutely amazing! From our initial consultation, it was clear he understood the vibe and musical preferences we were looking for. However, he gave us a reasonable price and delivered on our request, he played the songs on our playlists and we are so pleased with him! It’s been a year since our wedding, and people still tell us how it was the best party they’ve ever been to and that’s 100% thanks to DJ Majd, DJ Kloud, and the entire BTB team.

From the music, to the MC work, to the saxophone set and full entertainment experience, everything was flawlessly executed. Majd took the time to plan every single detail with us, both in front and behind the scenes, and made sure nothing was left to chance. The team was so organized, so thoughtful, and so in tune with what we wanted, that the day went off without a single hitch.

We had a full itinerary, no surprises, just good vibes and nonstop fun. We told Majd, “All we want is to dance, jump, and have fun all night,” and that’s exactly what they delivered. Honestly, we’ve never seen an entire room, young and old, on the dance floor all night like that. It was to the point that nobody knew the midnight table was served because we were all dancing away. THEY JUST GET IT.

We’ll forever be grateful to BTB. Truly, calling them just a DJ service doesn’t do them justice, they were the heartbeat of our celebration.

There are truly no words that can capture the gratitude we feel for the Back to Basics team after our wedding this past weekend. Going into our reception, we had very high expectations of what we knew they could deliver. We never thought they would shatter those expectations tenfold. The ability they have to read the room and pivot based on the vibes of the crowd is exceptional. You know the music is good when guests tell you they couldn't leave the dance floor for the midnight buffet or even a bathroom break because the fear of missing an epic song or insane remix was too great. Kirky & Jason brought the energy, captivated the room, and made every moment of our evening unforgettable.

Entertainment and a great dance party were top priorities for us, so splurging on B2B was absolutely worth it! Our planner had the utmost trust in their team and we quickly saw why.

Kirk and Majd were fantastic during the planning process, and on the big day Kirk and Jason completely exceeded our expectations (our planner said that’s their norm!). The music throughout the entire day was incredible. Dancing between courses (something we hadn’t experienced before and initially weren’t sure if our guests would be into) and an epic dance party that had friends begging for more when the night ended. We got tons of compliments about the music.

Kirk checked in with us throughout the evening, even making sure we stayed hydrated, and invited us to take the first Photo Booth picture, which were well-appreciated and thoughtful touches.

The Photo Booth was a massive hit with all ages. Guests kept asking what filter was on the photos because it made everyone look amazing 😂

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience for our wedding than the one we had with DJ Rob. We had him as our DJ from our ceremony through to the end of the night. He surpassed our expectations on every level, was incredibly professional and easy to talk to up to the special day, worked with us seamlessly on the logistics as well as playlist selections and the best part - the party could have gone on forever! We danced our socks off (literally - there was a part of the evening where some of us were downright barefoot) right up to the end of the night when the venue required us to leave, and even requested an encore! Our wedding night was beyond our wildest dreams thanks to DJ Rob. Even for the ceremony, he was willing to work with us to curate a mashup for the bridal entrance song and timed another song perfectly for our walk around the fire pit. His uplighting add on also added an unforgettable touch to our dinner space.

To add to the incredible experience - he was also our MC and did an outstanding job. The evening flowed beautifully from one aspect to the next and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We simply sent him the timeline and he was off to the races. Rob DJ’d our wedding two years ago and I forgot to leave a review. I just realized rob and I are both SACT alumni from different periods and I realized I should have connected those dots sooner and also left a review.

Anyway, the wedding was great. Rob did awesome. Wish we would have chatted more but I let my husband handle this part of the wedding and he did so good without me that I didn’t realize we didn’t leave a review and I didn’t realize Rob and I had a funny little thing in common.

Rob did an amazing job from the ceremony music, MCing, and the reception! There were no issues at all. The music was flawless! From having the office theme song playing for when the groom walked down, to doing our music for our first dance, he also introduced and was the MC. I really appreciate his theme he went with of 'travel' and made some personal touches. He was also great during the reception and we appreciate him dealing with all the requests! To say Peter is talented is a real understatement. He is also caring and thoughtful and with his majestic ways knows how to bring a room of people together in dance and song. Not sure if I can adequately describe just how amazing Peter was at our wedding. From the very beginning at our first meeting, Peter was so patient, kind, and professional, and we ended up booking him on the spot because he made us feel so confident.

During the planning stages, Peter was so communicative, and offered to meet and chat through details even beyond the scope of his DJ services (i.e. venue setup, given his deep experience). He made such helpful suggestions for the flow of our day, and I'm so glad we listened to his advice - he knows what he's talking about!

The day of the wedding could not have gone any better. He executed our vision flawlessly, his timing was on point, and he adapted to some last minute changes and accomodated delays in the schedule. Peter was an absolute blast at our wedding! He was funny, charismatic, and kept the party going all night long. Prior to the day of, he was well prepared with a list of questions for us to answer to fully understand our detailed itinerary, necessary queues, timestamps, and songs required for our program. We are very pleased that Peter delivered exactly what we requested during the ceremony and reception and well exceeded our expectations. He seamlessly MC'd the event and all the guests greatly appreciated how he was able to elevate the transitions between each program segment, wedding party entrances, formal speeches, and getting everyone on the dance floor. Peter was our wedding DJ and was 11/10. He adapted quickly when our piano player couldn't connect to the venue’s sound system. The song selection was perfect all night long and the dance floor went strong until last call. Peter was real professional leading up to and during the event. I can’t recommend a vendor more.

Great experience working with Dance! Shout! for our wedding. The whole thing went very smoothly and there was good communication from Jason through the whole lead up to the wedding. Scott was our DJ and he was great. He played an awesome selection of music and definitely took our tastes into account when building the track list. The party was a lot of fun and he had everyone dancing until the venue kicked us out. They also accommodated my request to have a keyboard hooked up to the sound system for a musical performance during the speeches, which was awesome. I would definitely recommend them.

Scott did a phenomenal job at our Banff wedding this month! We had a meeting before our event and he took care of so many details on the day of that I didn't have to worry or think about. Dance Shout Productions was great to work with all year too. Their online portal kept everything very organized and was easy to use. I'm from Saskatoon so booking a vendor out of town was a bit risky for me but I would book with them in a heartbeat again!

Hiring David and Ron was the best decision we made for our wedding. We wanted a DJ who would have everyone on the dance floor ALL night and they did not disappoint! From the orientation Zoom meeting, to co-ordinating with our sax player, to bringing a music stand last minute and asking around the DJ community about what equipment would be required, we couldn't have been happier to know the DJ-ing was in her capable hands. We didn't have a day-of coordinator but I took comfort knowing Maren would be there as an expert in weddings to help move everything along smoothly. And not to mention the music! The music! The night absolutely flew by and I don't think I ever stepped away from the dance floor (and few did). Aside from the dance floor think the mood-setting music at each stage was a BIG part in the 'vibe' of the wedding, which was magical and epic - truly beyond our expectations or hopes.

Maren was the DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception and she did a fantastic job! She was attentive, and able to get a really good sense of what styles of music we were hoping to hear and brought us exactly that. We were very glad to have hired her and she helped make the night very special.

Lucie hosted my daughter's wedding this past Friday (December 08th, 2023) here in Toronto and knocked it out of the park.

The music throughout dinner was engaging, diverse, and tasteful.

I don't even know where to begin! Eddy was our DJ for our wedding, the music was absolutely amazing. At the recommendation of our venue, we used DJ Flohback for our recent wedding and I’m so happy we did! From the get go, everyone we spoke to was organized and professional.
