I love love love this place, and am so happy we had our wedding here! We got married one week ago at the Enoch Turner School and truly had the best day ever. Its charm in my opinion means less is more. We added a big disco ball in the middle of the room and smaller vases throughout windowsills and in tables. But the place was gorgeous and not lacking!

Stacey was extremely helpful the month leading up to the event, and I cannot be more thankful!

My only caveat was that I was unaware that the person I was communicating with was not going to be there day of until about two- three weeks before. We didn’t have a planner, but I’m super type A so it wasn’t the biggest deal, just would have liked to know sooner!

As a wedding photographer, I'm always excited to shoot at the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse. I love the minimal look with the historical character. The property shared with church next door is great for your wedding photos. If you want more options the Distillery District, Corktown Commons and SOL Atelier Photo Studio are nearby. The staff is super friendly and hard working. Definitely recommend!

Visited for Doors Open Toronto 2025 and it was a beautiful space! Loved learning about the first school in Toronto.

Very affordable wedding venue! Ben who was on site for rehearsal and ceremony was great to work with. Roxann, great email communication and was lovely meeting her on the day as well! They have two easels for use, little chalkboards for small signs, and the schoolroom was perfect for a bridal suite - hair & make-up had no problems with their setup and there are four available electrical outlets in the schoolroom. With the main room close to 150 people, it does get hot in the summer.

I’ve been going to Greek fest since I was 3 years old. It’s changed so much over the years. I support my community and have told myself I’m going to get more involved next year. There were curtain things that were amazing about the old Greek fest. We need to bring back the rides for the children. The draw for a free trip to Greece was always a hit too. This year was hard because it was the first year back since COVID. But next year we go all out!!! We invited the theater so let’s give them a show!!!!

The annual Greek Festival is worth catching if you can. It usually runs for 10 days. The food is great and the entertainment is enjoyable.

Rented hall provided adequate screens for presentation and good audio. Facilities in good shape. Staff not intrusive but available.

Be careful with the food - check what others are eating and decide, some foods platters are not good at all.

Came here for a wedding last weekend and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. Tight, intimate space with a large dance floor. 100% recommend. The drive up to it on the race track was also a very cool experience.

We just had our wedding this past weekend and all we can say is WOW. This venue is one of the most gorgeous in all of Montreal, from the lighting, to the indoor design, to the architecture and of course, the garden. We have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about our experience with the rental managers. All of our guests were blown away by the atmosphere. If you are considering this place as a rental for an event - do it. We will remember our special day for a lifetime, and it happened flawlessly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

There's a reason why this is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Montreal. It's so gorgeous, the setting is incredible - you feel like you're out in the country but through the trees you have this breathtaking view of the city. Parc Jean-Drapeau's staff are very attentive and helpful. It's well worth the cost to rent this space. It's unreal to think how many hundreds of thousands of people likely dined in that room during Expo 67, how many millions passed through the Canadian Pavilion, how many millions more walked around the site. It makes whatever event feel like a part of history. The Inuit art was striking and engaging too, and it created this remarkable contrast with the high modernism of the space which was 'linked' by the interior wood floors and finishings, and complemented by the natural settings outside. Old, new, antique, modern, rustic, urban - and all at the same time and in harmoney with one another. What could be more Montreal, Quebecois, and Canadian than that?

Horrible service and, more importantly, both parking attendents and their manager utterly lacking in empathy. Attended an event here and we had a guest in the party whose electric car needed a charge since nearest charger in the Casino was out of service and after driving around looking for charger they only had enough charge to drive 5 km. La Toundra refused to allow him to charge the car so it would not require a tow while being a guest at the event and told him that the charger is for employees only even though no employee was charging 10 pm two charger spots. And this was for a paying customer. At the end, this poor individual had his car towed as their battery ran out, their while two kids screamed in their baby seats, which lay on the side of the road while they waited for their cab at 10 pm. Quebec hospitality at its best.

I attended my friend’s wedding at Château Royal in Laval and was blown away. The venue is gorgeous, the ballroom elegant, and the atmosphere perfect for a celebration. The staff were attentive and professional, making sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend Château Royal for weddings or special events.

From the very beginning of planning our daughters Sweet 16 with Tina to the day of the event with Helene and Peter on-site, every little detail was expertly managed. On the day of the celebration, Helene was a tremendous help with our morning setup, while both her & Peter ensured we had everything we needed during our party. This was our first event at Chateau Royal, but certainly not our last! I just wish I had found Chateau Royal sooner!

The hall is nice, clean but hasn't had a revamp or renovations in years. Looks the same as it was in 2010. Other halls in Laval have invested more proactively. Aside that service is good food (varies per venue) was ok; could be improved.

My family hosted my baby shower at Chateau Royal last Sunday and I was beyond satisfied with this venue. The food (lunch buffet), room, and service were exceptional! I received many compliments from the guests regarding the service and buffet quality. I am so happy they decided to host the event there as it made the day even more memorable! Thank you Chateau Royal :)

Very nice and spacious venue. Everything is clean and the staff is very nice and efficient in their way of working. They don't seem to provide chairs and tables though, which is a bit of a bummer.

I was at Le Madison in April 2015. The place was incapable. Everything was great except we had to wait for a bit for the room to be accessible. I recommend this place for any event. Furthermore, there is plenty of parking space at the back of the building. Thanks to the staff for the service.

When I walked by the building I was curious about it. I wished to see inside. Thanks to Harry Potter Yule Bal Celebration event, I had the opportunity to go in and it was beautifully decorated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Came here for a Cheese and Wine party. Great a d exceptionnal venue with a big open space and 2 floors (bars were on both floor and tables on the side were available for food). As a guest, I enjoyed myself, it was a cool experience.

We just went to the Harry Potter Ball and they hosted it here. The whole thing was amazing. It's a good venue. It used to be a church which they converted into a venue, and as someone who checks out venues for future clients to host parties or even weddings. This is a massive recommend venue! The 2 pictures are just a small glimpse of the size. To fully stand there you'd be surprised and the size. The place is huge and very beautiful. There is upstairs, downstairs and you can make great use out of the place.

Just came back from a wedding here. Great reception hall. Comes with an elevator to take you from the balcony to the main to the basement. Mirrors on the balcony are definitely helpful.

Spent New Years 2017 (going onto 2018) in this venue and the event was fantastic, one to remember for years. The dancefloor was spacious, there were two bars, we were in VIP and there was tons of bottle service. Disclaimer: photo is not great quality as it was a boomerang. The balloons dropped at midnight, the DJ played great music and there was a big projector screen with the countdown. Security was quick, and we actually tossed our coats into a cupboard by the bar to avoid the coat check line and made it in time for the balloon drop and countdown. The event venue is a hidden gem. On the outside it's unimpressive. The inside decor and atmosphere are impressive, however!
It's small compared to other venues, so it can fill up very quickly. The service was exquisite, and the staff very professional.
My only suggestion is let the guests know that there is more room for waiting upstairs.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Maison Principale on Saturday, May 17, and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It’s absolutely beautiful—every corner offers a perfect backdrop for photos, from the elegant interiors to the thoughtful architectural details.

The space was spotless and so well maintained, which makes a huge difference on a fast-paced wedding day. I also want to highlight how lovely it was to work with Natasha—she was so accommodating and kind, and even welcomed me to visit the venue ahead of the wedding to get familiar with the space. That extra step helped everything run even more smoothly on the big day.

The entire team at Maison Principale was professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to creating a seamless experience for everyone involved. I’m already looking forward to the next event there!

We had such a fantastic experience at MP for our wedding. From the moment we visited, Gabriella G. and Natasha M. made us feel comfortable and at ease. They handled all our special requests and were in direct contact with all our vendors to make sure our day would be as magical as imagined. Gabi B. from Brera Catering was also so pleasant to work with, and accommodating from our initial tasting months prior to the wedding to our midnight table.

The manager Mr. Spike is a good man. Gave us a tour of the hall. Made all the necessary arrangements as we requested.
We celebrated our daughter’s 1 st bday. All the guest liked the hall. The rates was also budget friendly.
There was a park beside the hall and the kids loved it. Good and neat kitchen as well. I will recommend this hall and the manager to anyone who wants to rent the hall.

Pretty decent music venue and nice place

The Montgomery Community Centre is highly regarded for its excellent venue for community gatherings and family events. It offers great service and amenities, making it a top choice for local residents seeking a welcoming and functional space for various activities.

My son boxes at Bowmont Boxing Club and while he does so, my youngest and I spend some time at this playground. It's a nice little place that hasn't ever been overly busy and has some shade for hotter days.

Tip: at the right time of year, the trees around the outside of the playground are heavy with large and delicious crab apples... Yum! 🍏

I love this place.

I recently took my granddaughter to the Old Mill for a princess party teatime event. She absolutely loved it. The grounds were just exquisite. All the little girls were dressed up in princess dresses with tiara’s, and they had four princesses come out to entertain the kids. The room was set up beautifully, and the food was excellent.

Went here for a friend’s intimate wedding and loved the venue. The food was delicious, the venue itself felt very cozy and elegant, and the staff were all so helpful. I didn’t take pictures of the food, but we had butternut squash soup, garden salad, and salmon filet with roasted veggies — all of it was surprisingly delicious.

We recently had our wedding at Old Mill Toronto, and it was truly the most magical day we could have imagined. From the stunning historic setting to the flawless execution of every detail, everything exceeded our expectations.

A huge thank you to Anna and Galina, who were extremly helpful in making our day so special. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail were incredible throughout the entire planning process. Anytime we had a question or needed to finalize something, they were quick to respond and always had a solution ready. Their support took so much stress off our shoulders and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

The venue itself is breathtaking — charming, elegant, and full of character. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the ambiance, the food, and the impeccable service. From start to finish, it was everything we dreamed of and more.

The Old Mill is such a beautiful venue with so many spaces for events that each have their own character and requires very little decoration. As a wedding decorator, the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. They ensured everything was perfect for my client and made it very easy for me to complete my decor set-up. The food is so good and your guests will not leave hungry! Went to a wedding to the Classic Hall last Friday night May 30th, 2025. The venue is spacious and impressive. However, the chairs were stained:( The food was below expectation. Appetizers were Costco quality. The dinner included a squash soup, pasta, chicken breast with mashed potatoes and couple veggies as a main as well as a cup of gelato with a very hard biscotti for desert. However, the service was excellent - very attentive and almost invisible at the same time. Thanks to all the staff for your help!

We recently attended a wedding at Paradise Banquet Hall, and it was truly a fantastic experience! The buffet was an Italian food lover’s dream – from start to finish, every dish was exceptional. The main course was especially wonderful, with perfectly cooked pasta, rich sauces, and tender, flavorful meats. The selection was extensive, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. What made the evening even more memorable was the team at Paradise Banquet Hall. They were incredibly kind and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that guests had everything they needed. We just got married at The Rizz over the weekend and it was the absolute best experience! The food was great, so many of our guests came to compliment us on the food! I came here for a group event of about 70 people on a Sunday in March.

The room itself was nice and clean but the temperature was very cold. There was a temperature control on the wall and some guests were trying to increase it to 20 or 21 degrees but employees would lower it to 18...guests were so cold they were grabbing their coats and scarves. Eventually someone spoke to an employee to ask if it can stay at 20 and they allowed it.

I had asked one of the waiters in English what the hors d'oeuvres were that he was handing out and he did not understand I had to repeat myself in French. Someone who works in the service industry should be able to speak English and French. I

also included a photo of one of the hors d'oeuvres, a meatball, which was completely raw in the middle. I showed a waiter and he took it away and I never heard back about it. The rest of the food was fine but that put a bit of a damper on the food for the rest of the guests at my table.

I've heard a lot of positive reviews of this place but my experience was disappointing. Not sure I would consider hosting a event here myself.

We had our wedding at this venue last weekend, and honestly, the experience was incredible from start to finish—way beyond just the wedding day itself.

In the months leading up to it, the staff was so present and attentive. They were always a step ahead, checking in, helping us navigate the process, and making sure everything was unfolding the way we had envisioned. What we appreciated most was how they shared their advice without ever making us feel like our ideas were wrong or unrealistic. They’d give little tips or insights based on their experience doing this every other weekend, but they always made it clear that the final call was ours—and they’d make it work, no matter what we decided.

They were also super proactive. We never had to chase them down or ask when our next meeting was. They guided us step-by-step, from meal preferences to setup decisions, which really helped reduce any pre-wedding stress. It honestly felt like they were just as invested in the experience as we were.

They humanized the whole process too; it didn’t feel transactional at all. They’d remind us to be present, to enjoy the moment as a couple, and that little touch of care made all the difference. You can really tell they love what they do.

On the actual day of, everything ran perfectly. The staff was always nearby, gently guiding us through the timeline—but in the most calming and subtle way. The maître d, the head waitress, and all the other staff were so hardworking, kind, and personable. Throughout the night, they kept checking in on us and bringing us food to make sure we were eating enough and actually enjoying the night.

The coordinators also made our wedding feel like more than just an event they had to run. Right before walking down the aisle, they stopped to tell us how great we looked and gave us words of encouragement before coordinating and timing everything.

We had both our ceremony and cocktail hour at the hall. Originally, we had planned for it to be outside, but the weather didn’t cooperate. They calmly shifted everything indoors, reassured us that it would still be beautiful—and they were right. The setup was stunning and felt just as special as what we had originally pictured. The way they executed the backup plan was so smooth and professional.

The food was also next level. People are still texting us a week later telling us how they cleaned their platters. The braised beef was a major hit, and guests kept complimenting both the quality and the quantity of food—which can be rare to nail both. They were also on top of being attentive to the allergy and dietary restrictions of all our guests, which was very important to us—and our guests really appreciated it.

Another huge help was how they coordinated with our vendors the week of the wedding. We didn’t have to worry about who was arriving when or what was being set up—they handled it all, which gave us the space to actually enjoy the experience.

Having the hotel attached to the hall was such a lifesaver. We got ready there in the morning, which made the whole day flow so much easier—no travel stress, no rushing. And it allowed our guests to let loose, enjoy themselves, and stay overnight. We even hosted a brunch the next morning at the Resto, which was such a fun way to wrap up the weekend. The bistro staff was also amazing—super friendly and genuinely helpful.

All in all, this team gave us the wedding we had dreamed of without the pressure and chaos we thought would come with it. They were a dream team, and we would 100% recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding. It’s literally the one-stop shop for your wedding in Montreal—you can’t go wrong!

I went here for the pumpkin charity ball for Halloween this year and all I got to say is what an amazing venue. Especially for Halloween. Haha What a great night I had and I'll definitely be back again for another event or to the bar downstairs. 🤙👍

As a vendor for an event held at the centre, the parking was good and easy to unload. Bathrooms were clean and food from the bar was great. I was there for RAW: Magnify, an arts show.

Terrific pub with every kind of beer and whiskey imaginable and good food.

It was afternoon tea celebrating Blooms Day from Ulysses by James Joyce. There was enactments from the book and it was all very enjoyable. The food - sandwiches and scones plus squares were lovely. The wine and Irish lager my husband ordered were great and so was the music. Very enjoyable

A banquet center in the heart of the city that's rather unassuming from the outside, but with a grand interior. The halls are huge, and the arrangements are very satisfactory. The lobby is big, clean and with a shiny floor. The food that's catered is delicious. The restrooms are nice and clean. Parking is adequate. However,  the servers, in general, could be a bit more friendly and courteous.

One of the best venues and halls for special events. Located across from Mooney's Bay, this newly upgraded and updated banquet hall boasts a large seating capacity, modern interior design and an upgraded kitchen. Beautifully decorated and spacious, and can host smaller to.larger groups for business events, as well as weddings and special occasions. Ample parking adjacent to the facility. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I went to the Lebanese festival this year and it was a blast. Music, dancing, rides for the little one, food, food and more food. It was a great time, and will be the source of great memories for years to come. We went again this year, 2023 and again was amazing. Our now 4 years old loves coming here and talked about it since last year. We will be going back again next year when it comes back to town. Also, big shout-out to all the volunteers that make it possible.

My husband and I held our reception at Saint Elias and we were very pleased with everything! They were very flexible and ensured our special day went by smoothly. Everyone working the night of our wedding was wonderful! Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was throughout the whole evening! Thank you again!

The appetizers were great, but the main meal.. I wasn't impressed with the presentation, and it was lacking flavour. Overall, this is a fairly decent reception hall, but the parking lot is VERY small.

Had a wonderful venue tour there by April. Very informative and friendly. Their wedding space is not your everyday community centre space. It is large, light and bright and airy and will have an outdoor ceremony space too!

Trywood hosted our wedding reception in January. Phenomenal service. Excellent food. Everyone had a great time. They're willing to work with us on unique ideas we had for the reception and were willing to try something new and executed to perfection. Our guests have consistently commented on the reception having some of the best food they've ever had, especially the salmon! Would highly recommend for weddings or any event in general.

Large lot, several buildings. Attended a wedding, Staff was amazing, food was served buffet style and was also very good. Bar service was great again staff above par!

Chilly stands but great ice. Change rooms could be bigger. No on site food.

I have not been in the building or have not used other facilities but the place is really enjoyable, my kids like here because it has playground, they can ride their bikes and play football.

My favourite public outdoor rink in all of Calgary. Highly recommend!

Good venue for a variety of events from music to toy shows

It's a good place although as soon as you enter you're met with stairs. So if you're pushing a stroller there's not much you can do, you're stuck there and it's quite an inconvenience. The preschool seems pretty good, my son is enrolled there. The rest of the place looks quite spacious.

We visited the large playground that is shared with the school fields. It's older but in good shape. The area is fully fenced, except where the parking lot sits. Gravel base under the play zone. 5 slides, 4 monkey bars, 2 flying foxes, 8 unique climbing ladders/sliding poles.

Had a fabulous time! I called ahead to make a reservation for my sister and her husband’s anniversary.

I spoke to Ken and he was great, answering all my questions and making accommodations for my family, since some members have food allergies. The staff were very polite and they added some extra touches to make my sister’s evening special. Ken came over and introduced himself to us which was a lovely plus and was available to accommodate us for any thing else we may have needed.
The atmosphere of course is lovely, inside and out! Very picturesque. And the food was delicious. The only issue was they ran out of the crepe, which is what I really wanted to try but the other desserts were really nice. The strawberry soufflé wasn’t too sweet and tasted like strawberries. I also thought the prices were fair for what we had.

I definitely would go back and suggest the restaurant to others.

Overall, Cluny Bistro & Boulangerie was great, delicious food and a really good vibe. Unfortunately, it took a very long time to get our steaks and one of them came out super cold. We had to ask the waiter to warm it up, which was a bit of a bummer. He offered us a complimentary dessert to make up for it, which was nice.
Our waiter, though friendly, didn’t seem quite up to the standard of the restaurant compared to other servers. For example, when refilling our water, he spilled some on the table and didn’t clean it up, just left it there. Small details like that stood out in an otherwise lovely experience.

Fantastic food, inspired, fresh ideas, beautiful drink menu and an open, lively atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Service was a bit slow and arrogant - we never received our desserts (that were sitting on some counter I saw), asked another waiter for the bill that also never came, so finally walked up to the cash desk to pay & leave. Unnecessary... but the food we did get made up for it, I'd still go back for that 🤗

This restaurant serves one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while! The quality is always consistent and fresh. The place tends to be busy most of the time, which just shows how popular it is. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and perfect whether you’re catching up with a friend or enjoying a solo coffee break. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Cute patio and beautiful interior. The famous french onion soup was sooo good, even though I had it outside on a hot day, had to admit it is very good compared to other french restaurants I tried in the city, very well seasoned. The steak was good and surprisingly reasonably priced. Had their non alcoholic drink and it was definitely refreshing and very pleasingly presented, I got other customers came by asking which drink that I ordered. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff as well

Magnificent place to organize a meeting, several restaurants and bars located nearby. Excellent service, everything is perfect except…the parking spaces! Excellent food, great service throughout the day, place with exceptional views of the old port!

Good product quality and adequate service. The place is very pleasant and the price is reasonable.
When the weather is nice, go to the terrace.

Great, active community with lots of programs going on. Pretty much open almost everyday except on holidays.

I enjoy their programs that I would recommend:

Mondays - Fresh Food Basket from 4-6 p.m. Supplementing food to the community to those that could make use of the program. Welcomes all no I.D. required. First come, first serve basis.

Tuesdays - Sip and Chat 2-4 p.m. Everyone welcome! Drop in. Have a coffee, tea and some
treats while you chat with friends and neighbors.
Social connections and more.

Wednesdays - Farmer's market. Summer outdoor
schedule 3-7 p.m. Meet your local farmers,
business owners and their goods. Support local!
Free entertainment. Available food trucks by the
parking lot.

Thursday - Neighbour Night 5:30-7:30 p.m. Every
first and third Thursday night of the month. It's a
community supper followed by organized fun
adult activities. Kids friendly. Welcomes everyone.
Enjoy a healthy and supper cooked in our HSCA kitchen by our volunteer cooks and chef. Different activities, varies every week. Activities like gardening, painting night, mini wood working, musical night, mental health care, drumming, picnic in the Riley park when weather permits and many more. Child minding is available with the help of our amazing youth volunteers.

Sundays - Flea Market, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Sale, antiques, vintage, collectibles and more.
Find treasures, pretty much everything from soup to nuts!

A true community Association, various programs for children, seniors and families. They have a great selection of vendors for their Farmers Market. It gets even better. The summer.

This place makes you feel like a community, it’s welcoming, the staff care, and it’s nice to meet the people that come out to the markets

Prices are about 20% more than what you can find online, when I went there about 50% of the booths didn’t have anyone and you couldn’t buy any of their items. The indoors area smelled heavily of cigarettes. Don’t bother coming here, a waste of time.
