Our wedding experience at Le Challenger was an absolute dream come true. Since the beginning of the planning, Joe and Billy made sure we felt comfortable and stress-free. They listened to all of our ideas and ensured our vision would come to life. The wedding day itself went incredibly smooth, all our guests had nothing but positive feedback about the staff, the service, and the food! Thank you again for being the perfect venue!

We had our wedding at Le Challenger last July 26,2025 and it was perfect.

The venue was beautiful, we have access to the balcony for our garden ceremony, then we used the reception hall for our reception. They even gave us a free room suite so we can drop our stuff there, change our dresses and coats, do make up touch ups and to stay their while cocktail hr was on.

The food was a bomb. The cocktail food and drinks are all tasty. We also have a 4 course meal, and each of the meal was delicious.

The drinks are also amazing. We had an hr cocktail hr and 3 hrs open bar and the bartender was on point!

The crew and waiters also offer exquisite service.

Billy was our main contact. And let me tell you he is very amazing, i planned everything with him and he is very fast to email, respond and call.

If i have to be married again. For sure this will still be the place to be. I recommend Le Challenger to everyone who is looking for a perfect wedding!!

Joe and the entire team at the Challenger were so welcoming and gracious, making the planning process so easy. The space is beautiful and we were able to have our ceremony outside on the terrace.

The food was incredible. Every one of our guests came to tell us how much they enjoyed the food as well as the excellent service and drinks!

Cannot recommend getting married at the Challenger highly enough-it was the best day of our lives!

We could not have picked a better placed to get married. The venue itself it absolutely gorgeous, the food is amazing, and the details that they think of make the day extra special. Billy was beyond incredible. For the whole year and a half of planning he answered every little question so quickly, and brought our vision of the day to life. Not one bad thing to say. The professionalism of all the staff made our experience. Everything on the day of was perfect. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone.

We recently hosted our daughter’s wedding at Le Challenger, and we are still on cloud nine! The hall itself was absolutely beautiful—elegant, spacious, and tastefully designed. It created the perfect atmosphere for such a meaningful celebration.

From start to finish, everything was truly out of this world. The food was phenomenal—our guests are still raving about it! The decor and ambiance were stunning, and the service was exceptional.

A very special thank you to Billy, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made all the difference and allowed us to fully enjoy the day.

I had the opportunity to experience the convention center through an event I was attending. I found the convention to be very clean, from the bathrooms to the main rooms. There is a great view of Parliament. The staff I had interacting with were great.

Always a great place for my Industry's Landscape Trade Shows in the early spring. Spacious, great food, very clean bathrooms, and awesome underground parking, especially when the weather is not so good!

Very nice conference centre with free underground parking. This place is well maintained and the washroom is clean. Should have patrol to check the underground parking once a while because there are quiet and dark corners. Not too sure who provided the catering but the food quality was very good each time from different events.

Junior at the reception desk is a wonderful man. Professional and polite. Always with a smile. The only thing I don’t like about this hotel is that there are not enough elevators for the amount of children booked at this hotel. This is a favourite hotel of young sports teams.

Went to a work holiday party and was pleasantly surprised by this venue. Attached to Hampton Inn made getting there very easy since that's where we stayed. Great buffet that was well labeled for people with various allergies. Our servers were all very friendly. Hope we go back next year.

We had our Staff Xmas party there and have nothing but fantastic things to say. The service was exceptional, atmosphere was perfect and food was great! All 30 of our guests were very satisfied considering the last couple years we never had great experiences at other venues. Thank you again!!

Couldn't recommend these folks more - if you're booking a venue for a large gathering in Ottawa, Ottawa Venues should be your first and only call.

We had our wedding celebration here in September and we absolutely loved it.
Peter was a huge help in organizing and coordinating the evening. The whole event ran smoothly thanks to him and his staff. We were able to enjoy our big day without having to run around to fix issues, check on vendors or having to delegate tasks to our family members. The food was amazing and the staff was very professional and proactive thorough the night.
The guests had an amazing time. The layout of the room was big enough to have space in between tables and enough space on the dancefloor. Many of the guests have also mentioned that they really enjoyed the fact that they were not rushed to eat fast in between meals.
Overall, we could not be happier with how everything turned out!

I came to this banquet hall for the reception of the baptism of my dear twin. It was very easy to locate and close to the highway. It is also very private, there were four other events going on and I had the impression that we were the only ones there. When the waterfall was turned on it was so beautiful the entrance.

Food is delicious, the hall will be upgraded winter 2024. New washrooms under construction. Completed by May 15, 2025.

Amazing, I was there in the cousin party... the party room was increible.

We had our wedding two weeks ago at Roma Receptions and we can honestly say that the entire process of planning our wedding with them from A to Z was impeccable! The food was amazing, the room that we were in was beautiful and the staff were wonderful! Thank you Marie and the Roma reception staff for helping and guiding us to have the wedding of our dreams!

What a wonderful service we received at Roma Receptions. Our experience here was seamless from start to finish. Tony was a great help and his expertise was evident in the entire planning process and on the night off. The waiters did a phenomenal job alongside our head waiter and Alexandra who calmed our nerves and made for a spectacular night. The food was phenomenal and very well presented, our guests are all still talking about it. 100% would recommend this reception hall!

Had my wedding at Roma Receptions last weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Tony is truly one of a kind–honest, knowledgeable, and a true veteran in the industry. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He made the whole planning process feel effortless and took a lot of the stress off our shoulders.

The food was amazing and generous, and the staff were incredibly polite and attentive to every detail. You can really tell the whole team knows exactly what they’re doing. Huge thanks to Tony and his team for making our big day so special. I’ll definitely be recommending Roma Receptions to my friends planning their weddings!

Roma Receptions is a beautiful hall, but their manager Maria is a nightmare to deal with. She is dishonest and extremely difficult.I’ve never seen anyone like her in my life.

My advice to anyone considering this venue: be very patient, because she will stress you out more than your actual wedding. She only cares about money. Make sure to write down everything she says, because she changes her words every day. As your wedding approaches, she will change things at the last minute just to ask for extra money.

Another big issue is the price.what she tells you is not the same as what she tells other people. She changes her prices depending on who you are, and that is completely unfair.

For African clients especially, I do not recommend this place.they treat people with no respect, like they don’t matter. Please think twice before booking here, and you’ll thank me later.

On the positive side, Tony is a good guy and helpful, but Maria… I honestly don’t even have the right words to describe how bad she is.💔💔💔💔💔💔💔🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Do not have your wedding here. There will be 3 weddings happening at the same time in adjacent rooms. You will hear the music from these rooms bleeding in while you’re trying to enjoy dinner and speeches. Would not recommend

We had brunch here for Mother's Day. I was a bit skeptical about going as I don't generally like buffets but my experience here was very good. Well laid out. Nice venue. The buffet had a good variety of hot and cold food that was replenished regularly. The staff were excellent, too.

For the past few years (except for the pandemic) the Christmas reception of the non-profit organization, which my daughter belongs to, has been taking place at the Sala San Marco. I have nothing but good comments for this place. The reception room is beautiful and grand. The catering company used are excellent. The food is good and plentiful. Their real key assets are their staff who is very pleasant, professional, quick, polite and friendly. As you can see, the family has become a fan of the Sala San Marco.

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding event on August 15 2020 at Sala San Marco.

Our event was amazing and beautiful. The staff were great and sufficient. Always made sure my guest were content and had everything they needed. Michel the wedding director was a great help during my wedding preparations and during the pendemic. She kept me up to date on the pandemic health and safety protocols and guest list.
The venue was A+ so was the food. The stuff chicken was delicious, the broccoli soup was very flavorful... It was just delectable 😊
My venue was well decorated and ready when I arrived. Was I ever happy. The bathrooms were always cleaned and checked every 5 minutes or so... Which to me, was very important during the covid 19.
My husband and I are so happy that we were able to celebrate our wedding at the Sala San Marco during this hard scary time but yet we were not going to let covid win. Every one followed the protocols and Sala San Marco made sure of it as well.

Our family was just so excited to have visited. The staff were exceedingly kind, willing to share and answer questions about the history of the farm, and very knowledgeable and friendly.

The price was very appropriate for the experience. Great price for breakfast and great attractions for the door price. The kids loved it and the whole family was thrilled.

Went here just this past weekend and it was lovely! Had the pancake breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! Very filling and worth the price to share a lovely meal with friends and family. They have an old rustic traditional sugar shack that they make their syrup out of and I find it extremely charming, especially as I love learning about historical things. The guy who was there making the syrup and demonstrating for us was a very informative individual and very engaging.
I loved getting the chance to observe some of the new baby animals on the farm in one of their barns! The barn itself is quite charming and rustic which ties into the historical value of the property itself. It reminds me of when I would spend some summers on one of my family friends farm as a kid. Staff are well informative and always present while guests are observing the animals. The new red and white baby cow was adorable! Same with the little lambs. Definitely a great place to take your kids as walking to and from buildings isn’t too long of a walk so less chance of little legs getting tired and very stroller accessible too. And of course they had maple syrup taffy which is the one thing I always look forward to having during sugar bush season. :)

It has been a week since our wedding at Stanley’s. We cannot thank them enough! From the moment we arrived, their services and their staff are incredible! Francis and Sophie we the dynamite duo we needed to have our day go as smooth as possible. From start to finish….Stanleys you were incredible! Thank you so much! Brennan and Michele 🫶

We had an amazing day at Stanley Olde Maple Lane Farm yesterday! My husband and I took our two girls, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a delightful array of farm animals, and our daughters were thrilled to see some newborns up close. The highlight of our visit was definitely the sugar shack, where we learned about the fascinating process of making maple syrup. While I was hoping to see some real buckets filled with sap or a maple tree tapped with a bucket for a more authentic experience, we did spot some decorative buckets that added charm. We also enjoyed a fun tractor ride and were in awe of the ginormous horses on the farm! To top it all off, we stopped at the stonehouse to purchase some delicious amber maple syrup, cookies, and candies. The weather was perfect, and we made the most of it, taking plenty of pictures and creating wonderful memories as a family. I highly recommend visiting this farm for a fun and educational day out!

Went here on Easter Sunday with my in-laws from England to show them some Canadian tradition. Overall, it was a nice day but more suited to kids than 4 adults looking to learn more about maple syrup production… $10 per person is steep for what you get. We also were hoping to take advantage of the walking trails but there were all closed. Food was nice but expensive for the quality.

The historic house wasn’t very big, and when we visited, it was quite crowded due to a festival. It was interesting to see, but definitely not something you’d spend a lot of time in. Parking was available but quite expensive. There’s a lovely park right next to it, which made the visit more enjoyable. The area is nice for a short walk and some photos. It’s a decent place to visit once if you’re nearby. Overall, a one-time experience—not something I’d return to.

Visited as part of a school field trip, the staff did a great job keeping the kids busy and engaged while teaching them about our local history.
The practice archeology bins were a hit with the students and taught them to think critically about the artifacts they uncovered. The indigenous games gave everyone a chance to connect with the kinds of activities that people their age would have done centuries ago. The scavenger hunt through the museum was a great way to ensure the students examined every nook and cranny of the exhibits.
We will be sure to visit again when the upgrades are complete!

I recently went on a private trip with students that turned out to be an incredible experience. We had the opportunity to explore significant historical sites, uncovering captivating narratives that underscored the links between our past and present. This journey deepened our understanding of the region's heritage. Throughout the trip, the knowledgeable workers were helpful, answering our questions and enriching our experience.

After 20 years, The Confluence finally got an indigenous art exhibition curator, Star Crop Eared Wolf, for the opening of Kípaitápiiyssinnooni [Our Way of Life]. When we visited the space for the art opening, it was quite exciting to see the different works of art on display. The film showing during the weekday was also very thoughtful-- I wish more people would come and watch!

The only points of improvement for me would be the following:

1. Food vendors (I had 4 hungry kids with me and they kept bugging me to leave so we can go grab proper meals, which were not available on site); and

2. Paving the gravel parking lot a bit more because holy cow, those things destroyed my stiletto heels when I had to run to my car whilst hail was pummeling the ground 😑

Overall, it's an amazing venue for cultural experiences but make sure you have a big meal prior to the visit. Cheers!

Strictly not a tone to do here if you have a young one. But this place is situated in a good location with access to parks and downtown. Excellent green fields. Lots of places to run around or play with the river.

Valerie was a fabulous host! We had a bridal shower for our bride-to-be friend at the florist’s loft and we had an amazing time. The space was perfect for our event. We had barely any other decor since the space was already decorated so beautifully. Valerie was always ready to help with anything that we needed for our event. She responded very quickly and was very knowledgeable regarding any questions/concerns we had. We had a vision and Valerie & the florist’s loft helped us bring it to life. We would love to return to have another event there!

We had our wedding here at the end of May and it was the best day of our lives.
Everyone loved the uniqueness of the venue and Edward was there every step of the way to make sure that the day went great!

We decided to take a short walk around the corner to the from of Danforth Tech School for photos…highly recommend!

We got married here in August 2022, and had a wonderful time. Always a phone call away, and easy to coordinate with. We brought in our own food and they helped make it presentable, and helped move the furniture around between ceremony, dinner, and reception. My family could come in early and set up, and the staff helped with clean up (it was included in cost) and we could pick the extra supplies up the next day. On top of that, the venue is a beautiful space, our guests loved it, it is easy to find parking nearby. We could pick the colour of flowers that we wanted on the wall (we chose roses as seen in photos). It is also very affordable for being in the city, so it is easy if you live downtown to plan a wedding here! That being said, it is not a large space. We had approximately 55 people at our wedding and I'd say that was the max. We would have our wedding here again!

I had my wedding at The Florist Loft in May and it was the most beautiful thing ever! Like many, I did lots of research and went to go look at the place. Magda and Valerie are the new owners and from the first phone call, the ladies did such a great job at explaining the cost breakdown and they had a lot of connections with vendors and were super supportive with allowing me to bring in my own vendors. We brought in our own food, photobooth, late night waffle station, mocktail drinks!

I had my ceremony and reception at the Florist Loft. The transition from the ceremony to the reception went perfect. Valerie and her team did such a good job to stick to the timeline provided and the night went smooth.

We had a small micro wedding with 45~ guest and it was the perfect amount for us and the space.

The space alone is so beautiful and does not need much added!

It exceeded our expectations! The stunning and elegant setting, coupled with exceptional service, made our wedding day unforgettable. Customer satisfaction was top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond. Thanks to Magda and Val for being so patient and kind.

I recently had my baby shower here, and am incredibly disappointed at the lack of organization and communication on behalf of the coordinator. I grew increasingly concerned throughout the planning process, and it all came to a head the day of my event. My mother arrived at our designated time slot for set up to find the space full of people, and when she went in to ask what was going on, the coordinator was not even aware that our event was taking place that day. Somehow my baby shower, which I paid over $1,000 to have at the Vandenberg House, did not make it onto her calendar. Thankfully, after realizing that I had booked well in advance and paid in full, the coordinator ushered everyone out of the space and cleaned up just in time for my mother and friends to set up for the shower. Frustratingly, no apology was offered, and I have not heard from the coordinator at all since the event.

If you still decide to book in at the Vandenberg House despite the risk of working with this coordinator, I would give you one piece of advice in terms of capacity. The capacity for this venue is stated to be 28 people seated comfortably, which is kind of half the truth. This works if everyone is seated for the majority of the event, but if you will have people mingling or walking around, seats and tables for 28 leaves very little room for anyone to walk around. If you are planning an event for which you would like seating, and space to walk around, I would limit your guest count somewhere around 20 people. I had 27 guests (myself included), and everyone was bumping into each other and really struggling to navigate the space as we made our way from our seats to the food table, around for photos, etc.

Good luck! This is a beautiful and cozy venue, so if you're willing to be very diligent about calling the coordinator and following up, it may be worth the risk to book in.

The Vanderberg House is Toronto's best kept secret space for intimate gatherings; we hosted my best friends 30th birthday on November 11th 2022 and it was astonishingly breathtaking. Charming venue and a perfect place to host my baby shower! Christiane was so easy to work with and accommodated all our requests. The space itself was so versatile and it was easy to transform into our party vision. Unlike other venues in the city, the Vandenberg House was affordable and offered so many add on options to enhance the party. Christiane went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly and was transparent about what was included from the start. I highly recommend and will likely return for my next event!

Our wonderful wedding planner, Kimberly from Envision Weddings + Events found the Vandenberg House 5 days prior to our wedding (due to our previous venue cancelling) and we thought it was perfect! Great central location, with an intimate and cozy charm. We had a very small ceremony and reception with 10 people total. Christiane was such a gracious event host, she always checked in and made sure we were comfortable, and she made sure we had everything we needed.

We had such a great experience, the only thing is I wish we found this venue sooner!! Thank you Christiane for your hospitality!

Hi , we celebrated my niece and daughter first communion on Saturday June 8,2019 and we were extremely happy with service from the booking to the night itself! Thank you so much Frank and your amazing team! The food and service was excellent, very attentive staff! Our guests were very pleased and we are happy to have shared this special day with an amazing establishment!

Riviera is always top quality, and affordable! They have kept the same chefs on staff which allows consistency in the quality. The owner Frank is a very respectable businessman, he keeps his word and works for you.

Our family has enjoyed many events here in the last 2 decades. Every time we go elsewhere we are always disappointed in some way.

I had my daughters communion party at Riviera this Saturday, June 8th the service, the food and staff was excellent , we were all very pleased. I also got married there 11 years ago and it never disappoints. Thank you for this wonderful experience keep up the great work 😊😊

Amazing experience with this place! They are professional, yet very caring to adjust their accomadations to fit your wedding needs and budget perfectly! From the experience I had shopping for halls they have the best presentation of the packages they offer. Clear and precise, with lots of photos and they know their food and menus well. We left our initial meeting with them, with no questions or confusion. You can clearly tell they have been in the business for a long time and have dedicated their work to accommodating the clientele. I highly recommend this hall! You won't be dissappointed.

We just celebrated our wedding at YMG and it was incredible! So much is included when you book the space, there is tons of room to have your ceremony, cocktail, and reception all in one place. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was - everything was smooth, on time, and everyone was professional and made our day so special. YMG 2 did a great job with the wedding of my son. The place was just right for 100 guests. Food was perfect. Lights and sounds were great! The service staff did a fantastic job of attending to all our needs. Washrooms were clean and well maintained. Overall, our celebration was momentous!

We were so happy with our wedding at YMG! The food was amazing and the venue was beautiful. So many if our guests also commented on the great service throughout the meal. Sanath was our catering manager and made the entire planning process very smooth. He answered all of our questions and was able to accommodate our requests and last minute changes.

We can’t thank York Mills Gallery enough for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. From start to finish, the attention to detail, incredible food, and flawless service truly exceeded our expectations. I recently attended an Iftar buffet at Astoria, priced at a steep $40 per person. While the organizers had advertised a tempting menu featuring Mansaf chicken, lentil soup, fattoush, hummus, fatteh, and kibbeh tray, the reality fell shockingly short.

The food quality was alarmingly subpar—closer to what you'd reluctantly accept from a $10 buffet, not something priced at four times that amount. Even more frustrating was the glaring lack of food: critical dishes vanished rapidly, leaving many guests, myself included, unable to even sample essentials like kibbeh or harissa. Instead of the usual two trays of the same item for a large gathering of people (>70 estimate), they had one tray, so also took forever to get the food (that was mostly gone) and it was stone cold by the time I was eating it.

The Mansaf chicken was frankly unacceptable—mostly plain rice sparsely garnished with tiny, pathetic slivers of chicken resembling leftover shawarma trimmings. The fattoush tasted stale and lifeless, and as for the fatteh, I managed only a smidge as we were forced to ration spoonfuls among us, desperately trying to salvage something from the situation—and even then, it was entirely devoid of protein. I filled up on Hummus and Baba Ghanoush (also ran out). I ate food maybe worth $8 in total.

Given the high price and the significance of the event, Astoria's performance was embarrassingly inadequate—easily the worst buffet experience I've ever had in Canada or anywhere else. Astoria urgently needs to reconsider its standards and show greater respect for its guests to avoid repeating such a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I anticipate Astoria's response will simply dismiss this feedback, as they've done with other dissatisfied customers, implying somehow that all their customers are wrong and only the owners are correct.

By far the nicest looking venue in all of Calgary AB. I booked it for my reception early August. The owner Rana was very easy to work with. The contract was easy to understand and the food was phenomenal! And there was someone at the reception watching over us to make sure we had everything we needed without interrupting us. We highly recommend this venue.

This hall is very beautiful and big inside, it has a lot of parking. It's close to the main road McKnight and deerfoot Road.

The worst dining experience we've ever had! We attended the Egyptian community iftar at Astoria, advertised as an open buffet—which typically means plentiful food with continuous refills. However, once the trays were empty, they were never refilled. When we addressed the issue, the owner kept blaming the organizer, claiming they agreed on the menu. But did they also agree to starve the guests and not refill the food?

After speaking with the organizers, we discovered the truth: it was entirely Astoria's negligence. This restaurant clearly doesn't care about its reputation or providing quality service to the community. They assumed people wouldn't speak up, but now all families are ready to share their terrible experience.

Instead of deflecting blame, Astoria should have taken responsibility and apologized for their poor service. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and the damage to their reputation is well-deserved. Avoid this place if you value your time, money, and dignity.

I just hosted my son's baptism at Casa Receptions and we had a great experience. Pamela and Peter are very accommodating and dedicated to a personalized experience. They helped me with so many decisions from beginning to end and were so so so helpful. The halls are so beautiful even with minimal decoration and the food was EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it!!!

We recently hosted our twin girls’ First Communion celebration at Casa Receptions, and it was absolutely lovely! The venue itself is beautiful – so many of our guests commented on how elegant and welcoming the space was.
The food was outstanding, especially the calamari – it was a big hit with everyone! The location is convenient, with a parking lot and easy access, which made things even smoother for our guests.
We loved that you can bring your own wine and alcohol (with a liquor license), and we were able to set up our own dessert table and decorations, which gave it such a personal touch.

We have done SO many events at this venue and each time, the service has been absolutely impeccable! The entire staff, down to the management, the waiters, the cooks, etc.. I simply cannot put into words how amazing they all are - Let's not even get started on the food! It's perfection every time! Thank you all again for the amazing service!

I recommend Casa Reception for your weddings here as it is very beautiful place to get Married, So much space in each room, our room was perfect for 67 people and affordable to rent 😊 You can also rent for birthdays, anniversary, any kind of special occasions they will agree to you and very affordable place. I highly recommend to rent Casa Reception. Everyone loved it plus their food is very delicious 😋 🥰

We chose the Grey Eagle for our mini honeymoon location. They provided us with chocolates, a nice card and Prosecco (although when asked by the front desk if I wanted red, white or Prosecco, I answered with white) which are thoughtful touches.

The resort is full of wonderful amenities.
We dined at the Little Chief restaurant our first night and the food there was exquisite, you can tell the Chef has put their heart and soul into curating delicious meals.
For our second night we went to the buffet and casino. The buffet was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The food and servers were wonderful.
Unfortunately the cleanliness of our room was lacking, when we got into the room I did a PreCheck and found multiple problems.
We chose the king suite with a Jacuzzi so we could relax and when I went to check out the tub found it to be riddled with unknown hairs. It was easily rectified but quite gross having to clean up after the previous guest.
I found hair pins under the curtains, small garbage littered around and a sharp nail in the carpet. Thankfully I located that with my eyes rather than a foot. I understand the business of this hotel but having clean rooms should be a bare minimum.

Went to the seafood buffet. It was absolutely terrible. I can't believe they're charging $60 for the seafood win. The crawfish were overcooked Frozen, not fresh so they're all soft. They're hardly any seafood. A little bit of crab and scallops were I don't even think real scallops I think and the place was not busy. You get a bowl in there so that whatever they're doing got rid of the lobster. Whatever. It's a rip-off for the money

I have eaten at the Blaze Bar and Grill numerous times and the food is great the Problem is waiting 10 or 15 minutes to be seated. Then, when you get a table, again you wait for anyone to acknowledge you. A couple of weeks ago 3 of us waited over half an hour to get waited on. All the waiters were hanging around the bar or walking around but doing nothing. Today we waited 5 minutes to be seated, two waitresses made eye contact then walked straight to the back. When we got a table we were given water and menus right away then waited another 20 to 25 min for someone to take our order. Instead they stood by the bar, one cleaned a table near us but didn't come over. Another talked to a table beside us but ignored us. When the waitress did come she apologized saying she was sorry she was on a break. Do the other waitresses not cover for each other? I have found there is only one good waitress and one good waiter. If I was the boss of the others they would be fired. Or perhaps their boss should notice how long they stand around and do nothing.

We were really looking forward to staying here for a concert, but the hotel room turned out to be a huge disappointment. The layout itself was fine, but the cleanliness was shocking. If you like black hair everywhere, this is the place for you. I’m staying here tonight and I’m disgusted. It doesn’t seem like the hotel even owns a vacuum—there were hairs across the bathroom floor, on the chairs, and in multiple spots throughout the room. To make it worse, I also found food crumbs and toenails.

If you enjoy playing “guess the previous guest” based on the sheer volume of hair left behind, then this hotel is for you.

Nothing makes you feel more unwelcome than having to do your own forensic sweep just to feel comfortable enough to sit down, let alone sleep.

Save yourself the disgust. A hotel that can’t manage basic hygiene doesn’t deserve a single star, let alone your business.
A hotel with this much potential shouldn’t be failing at the most basic expectation: a clean room. Until they take housekeeping seriously, I can’t recommend staying here.

I’ve been to casinos all over the world . Vegas , Monaco, Thessaloniki, Montreal, Niagara Falls.. and more. Best all around casino is Playground Poker in Montreal. Grey eagle lacks variety of machines and quality of electronic roulette machines. They need to expand that building . Furthermore after expansion , they should build a smoking room. No one wants to spend 5 -6 hours in a smoke filled building. Service was good.

A decent and quite graceful place for organizing any kind of events. Lights are good and so does the seating arrangements. You can get the good vibes upon entrance which is equally beautiful and does take a lot of attention. Stage is well centred and being a photographer serves as a perfect place for taking nice shots. Quite spacious and would be great for booking for any event. Great venue and kudos team Jubilee Banquet and Event Center.

We hosted a fundraiser Iftaar at Jubilee recently and it was an incredible experience! The owners made sure to help make it as smooth an experience as possible, worked with all our needs, and beat our expectations with the decor - the guests continue to extend their kind remarks and are excited to attend the event again! The owners were consistently available and working with us, along with recommending how to better execute the event, and we couldn't be happier to have hosted the event with them. We will definitely be back here for future events :)

This is the best place to celebrate our special occasions with our loved ones.
Decoration is too good as well as lightning and food they served are much better than I expected to be.
Staff is too friendly and co-operative with each other.
They took care of everything you do need.

We had our henna night here back in April, and it was absolutely magical! The owners were so easy to work with, they did everything as we asked, they worked with us on our budget and went above and beyond everything we asked. The food was the highlight of the night. There was not a single person that didn't praise the food! It was amazing, we ended up ordering dinner from the caterer multiple times since our event. Thank you to the amazing team at Jubilee for making our event amazing.

We had our party on December 10. The hall is absolutely stunning. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Amazing appetizers with beautiful presentation. Main course was also very delicious. Talked with the owner briefly and she was so welcoming. This is an amazing place to do an event. 100 percent recommend. Decorations were really creative and lovely. Best banquet hall in town. Thank you for your hospitality!

Nice little venue for personal parties and birthdays. I booked this place for my daughter’s birthday party. The hall itself is spacious and beautiful designed . Customer service and food was outstanding. I highly recommend this place .

First time trying this restaurant and like always I'm on the haunt for the best Chicken Biriyani. I've only ordered a Chicken Biriyani and it was overall really good and authentic Biriyani, rice, blend of spices, chicken was fresh and tender, portion was generous but my only complaint wasn't the Chicken Biriyani itself but the price of it, overall great experience would go back forsure

We had a family wedding here and unfortunately our experience was quite awful. Both the event venue and restaurant staff is poorly trained, inefficient and downright lazy. They really need to work on their customer service and management. The manager/owner himself did not follow our requests and instructions, and the same can be said about the staff. To begin with, they did not provide our decorator with the correct size of the stage platform; we had requested and paid the decorator for a large stage. The manager didn’t bother to communicate this critical information to his staff & they set up a stage less than half the size our decorator needed. This error was not corrected at any point and we ended up with a really small stage for the event. We had requested quite a few specific things regarding the table setups, all of which were ignored by the manager, he did not bother to instruct his staff. For the ambience, we needed warm white lights but that was ignored too & they turned on blue LED lights. Furthermore, the staff kept turning down the overhead lighting & we had to request them multiple times to turn them back on because our photographer & videographer didn’t have enough light to work with. We had requested for drinks to be available for guests both inside the hall & outside especially when they first arrived, but they ignored this request as well. Drinks were only available with the dinner buffet for a limited time. Guests who requested coffee were served cold coffee. The bride and groom and the head tables were not served food at their tables, they were expected to serve themselves from the buffet. The staff pretty much destroyed and stole our massive 3-tier wedding cake and then proceeded to lie about it when we asked them to pack our cake which we had paid for and ordered from a separate vendor. Most of our guests did not even get to taste the cake. These are some of the specific points I remember, but in general we are highly disappointed with our experience and would advise people to avoid booking at this event venue. As for the restaurant downstairs, the staff is quite rude and expect really small portions for what you order. We will not be returning to dine at the restaurant nor ordering anything from them in the future.

EDIT: We did take this matter up with both the owner and management. However, nothing was done about it, which is why we decided to post this review. Hopefully it will be helpful to anyone planning to host their special day at this venue.

We had a great experience at Olympia( Wedding/July12) . The food was delicious, and the staff were fantastic. A big thank you to Mimi , who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the event. Also the manager and the owner , was vert accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended for any event - Abby

The food is delicioussss! Especially the butter chicken. The waiter was so genuine and sweet . Excellent service. I will definitely be coming back.

We used Shawnessy Barn for our wedding reception venue and it was lovely! It was actually the first venue we visited when we were planning our wedding and it was love at first sight! Such a cozy, rustic feel and the decor lights that came with it were such a huge bonus. Huge shout out to the bartender, Amber. She was so friendly and amazing!

If you're looking for a smaller venue with a cozy vibe, this is it! The only issue really was communication with the barn management, they're very slow at getting back you, which can be stressful if you're planning an event. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!!

The Shawnessy Barn is an incredibly versatile venue! This comes with pros and cons. The only staff they provide is a bartender, so EVERYTHING from set up to take down must be planned out by you. If you are detailed oriented and have a great day-of-coordinator (like we did) this space is perfect.

We booked it for day one of our two-day wedding to celebrate my Cambodian heritage. This involved a parade through the park, a patio ceremony, an indoor ceremony, an outdoor ceremony, two cocktail hours, and a dinner reception. The Shawnessy Barn was easily able to transform to accommodate all of this.

Conveniently located within Shawinigan Park, there are beautiful walking paths and green spaces for photography, ceremonies and activities. The barn comes with a spacious patio, bartending (which includes unlimited non-alcoholic soda/juices), multiple washrooms, a kitchen, storage nooks, tables and chairs.

It's a very popular event space so the booking coordinator is VERY busy and sometimes we felt overlooked and unaccomodated. It took us a couple attempts to get our contract and deposit down (we also never received a receipt for the deposit). There is one day a month when you are allowed to look at the space and the sign up for this is hidden on the website. You don't have to sign up (because you can just show up and tour on your own) but if no one signs up this day will be rescheduled/cancelled.

We loved using the Shawnessy Barn and would book it for any other event in a heartbeat. We would also highly recommend this venue to others, but we completely understand why there are mixed reviews.

I have photographed a wedding here few times now ( Kathleen's Diamond Photography )... It is a cute little wedding venue, it is a perfect little spot for photography photos as well... Indoor is a little dark vibe like barn style... Super cute...

Wonderful and unique wedding venue with a century old barn that is a rustic beauty. I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding at Shawnessy Barn and would be happy to return to this amazing venue with character and charm!

We have rented this place for various functions. Great space, a beautiful stage, various other facilities, and friendly staff. We will keep coming back. Although the capacity is 250+ people, very limited parking is a significant issue.

My band played a show in the main hall here, and it was a great experience. The staff were super helpful, and the hall was big and suited our exact needs. Washrooms were clean, and everything was great. One thing to note is that every entrance had stairs, but the noth side entrance had a wooden ramp to wheel equipment in. Cool place, recommended!

Great hall. Great near west end location. Good parking and right on major bus routes. Nice two-level layout with a stage also. Comfortably sits 300+ guests for weddings or whatever kind of event. Self-help kitchen lets you pick and choose your own caterer. Church admin staff proficient and friendly. I’d rent it again!

This is a great place for a large gathering. Hubby and I attended the Peru National Day party here recently and it was a lot of fun. Great dance floor. Strategic kitchen and bar.

I hosted my birthday party at Maz Hall, and it was an absolute blast! The ambiance was delightful, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the decorations were top-notch. Plus, the catering was delicious. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend this venue for any celebration!

Tender and tasty butter chicken, delicious okra , spicy dhal, a great addition to lachine . Service with a smile. I was treated by the owner and served by her mother, a long time restaurant operator.

Avoid this hall at all costs. I am saying this not because of the venue but because of the money-hungry owner. I had planned a 60th birthday party for my mother and several days before the event my mother fell down and hurt her arm. I then decided to cancel the birthday celebration but Reetu was not having it. She said she didn't know how to deal with cancellations and proceeded to charge my credit card the remaining amount without my permission AFTER I let her know that I wanted to cancel. Mind you, I explained that the deposit was meant for them in case of cancellations, not the total amount. Her own contract stated they would only keep the deposit. She then refused to refund the money and I had to reach out to my bank to get this resolved. Very stressful and unpleasant experience.

I don't recommend this venue. We saw how this owner talked to her customer. They paid and she wanted to cancel them. How she went about it for a comment is so unprofessional. She showed that her business is really not serious. She sabotage their wedding by not putting AC on. Let's be honest you expect alot of guest and don't open the ac? Common not professional shame on you and on how you do things.

If I could put a 0 star I will.
I had the most stressful and worst experience with Reetu while organizing my wedding. All she cares about it's money and want you to pay everything. She doesn't care about providing a good service. She refused to accommodate us with any of our request. Organizing your wedding with someone who gives you headaches instead of helping you to plan your wedding.

During the reception the food was served very late and it was cold. she served us in a plastic glass
The food was not enough,
- the drinks were very cheap quality especially the wine.

Please avoid this place. And don't get fool with her beautiful smile. You will regret it.
