The specific event I attended had a really loud music, so it's good for small concerts, but too much for small children to stay for an extended period of time...

I grew up in this building. My ex father in law was the architect, I discovered Santa, wasn't really... well, you know. I have pictures of me singing on that very stage, as a 7 year old. So warm still.

Went for the Christmas market which was delightful. My mother was thrilled to find baked goods from Finland. The volunteers worked so hard to put on a wonderful lunch and there were many interesting things to purchase.

Sean has done 2 sets of family photos for us - indoor and outdoors. The process was super smooth and quick as he knows how to capture the perfect photograph. He made it really easy to relax and be natural. His indoor studio is great and his guided presentation made choosing the images a great activity for the family. His artistry is captivating and he is able to catch amazing moments in life to showcase to others that will stand the test of time

This hotel was our last stop before heading back to Montreal after our Alaska cruise and our stay in Vancouver, Banff, and Jasper. We stayed for 2 nights and overall, we had a very pleasant stay. I wasn’t able to enjoy the pool—it was too crowded and too small. The breakfast was good, but the dining area was very busy. I had to sit with a stranger, and the food disappeared quickly. When they restocked, you had to be fast to get some. It was a shame that you couldn’t take food out… it would have helped avoid the crowded space. The room was nice, I didn’t hear much noise, and I slept well both nights. Overall, a good stay.

Nice, clean, quiet room. The breakfast in the morning was good. Hot tub was hot, and the waterslide was fast! The kids (and me too!) had a blast at the pool. The fitness center was clean and had a good selection of equipment to get a good workout in. I would definitely stay here again.

Cheaper than the casino Hotel next door, pool area was nice, hot breakfast was good, room was nice and clean, had problems with the tv, but they fixed it promptly. Great location if you are just passing through and don't want to deal with too much traffic.

Had no hot water for the my stay. They claimed they got the water from the Deerfoot and it sometimes takes a while for the hot to come. This was not the case. I made several calls to the front desk and they said they would send down maintenance which never happened. Checked out of the hotel after 20 minutes as they said they would refund the stay. I still never have got my refund have talked to the GM who told me the people at the front desk didn't document it so she can't do anything. Place is a total scam stay away.

Great place with great prices. They fixed a hole in my jeans in the groin area.

They also are a FedEx pickup location. The staff is helpful when you want to ship and they help you packaging

I’ve come here several times for UPS package pickups and the service is consistently slow. Staff often stop helping me to chat with other customers who walk in, which makes a quick pickup take much longer than it should.

I've taken 2 dresses to Anna for alterations. A bridesmaids dress (which I bought too small) and my own wedding dress. She somehow managed to alter the bridesmaid dress to make it bigger with the little material she had to work with. It turned out perfect.
My wedding dress turned out absolutely perfect. She was super realistic and told me exactly what she needed to do to make it perfect. She suggested I add a satin belt sewn into the dress to emphasize my waist line. The bustle was placed perfectly which allowed me to walk and dance comfortably all night.
I just moved out of Bridgeland, but will continue to make the drive to Sew Passion for any alterations I need. Thank you Anna!!

Saved the day. After many failed alterations at a big chain suit store, I took my suit to sew passion in which the explained how a suit should fit and altered everything perfectly!!!! A+ customer service. They care. Goes along way!

I probably wouldn’t return here. I took a pair of athletic pants in to be taken in at the waist, and while they fit nicely and look fine from a distance, the sewing is quite erratic and messy up close- some lines aren’t straight, some are doubled over, and it just overall is a bit messy. It was fine for a quick fix but I’ve had better results elsewhere. Based on the work I received I’d say don’t take anything expensive in.

She was extremely patient throughout the process and made sure that I understood the coverage completely and that I was satisfied with the policy that I was taking on. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Ken Martinsen, an agent at Sharp Insurance. Despite being a loyal customer for nearly 9 years without ever missing a payment, I was treated with a lack of respect and professionalism. I had to repeat my request multiple times, but Ken would not listen and spoke in an unprofessional and dismissive manner. His tone and behavior were condescending, bordering on rude.

To make matters worse, when I requested to speak with another representative, he refused, and the phone system continued to route all my calls directly back to him — leaving me no way to escalate the issue or receive proper service.

Due to this unacceptable experience, I canceled my insurance and will be filing a formal complaint with Intact Insurance. It is clear that this individual is not suited for any customer-facing role. No long-time customer should be treated this way.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience with this home insurance company. After signing a contract and agreeing to a set premium, I was shocked to find out that just two weeks later my rate was increased for what seems to be a not valid excuse.

I specifically worked with insurance broker Navdeep Sidhu, who assured me the rate was locked in at the time of signing. To have it changed so soon after feels misleading and unprofessional. Customers expect stability and honesty, not surprise hikes in costs after committing to a policy.

If this is how they treat new clients, I can only imagine how claims would be handled. Very disappointing, and I would strongly caution others to be extremely careful before trusting this company with something as important as their home insurance.

Warning: Think Twice Before Choosing Sharp as Your Broker

If you're here to read reviews to decide whether to use Sharp as your insurance broker — please think carefully and consider going elsewhere. If you value saving money, expect professionalism, and want expert advice, this is not the right place for you.

In my experience, their practices are deceptive and lack transparency. For example, if you want to cancel a policy, they won’t inform you upfront about the cancellation costs. Instead, they prefer to surprise you with hidden charges — and they seem to be perfectly okay with that approach.

How is anyone supposed to make an informed decision under such unethical practices? How can a customer cancel a policy without first being told the cost involved?

Don’t fall for the appearance of legitimacy — do your research and choose a broker who values honesty and transparency.

We used Shawnessy Barn for our wedding reception venue and it was lovely! It was actually the first venue we visited when we were planning our wedding and it was love at first sight! Such a cozy, rustic feel and the decor lights that came with it were such a huge bonus. Huge shout out to the bartender, Amber. She was so friendly and amazing!

If you're looking for a smaller venue with a cozy vibe, this is it! The only issue really was communication with the barn management, they're very slow at getting back you, which can be stressful if you're planning an event. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!!

The Shawnessy Barn is an incredibly versatile venue! This comes with pros and cons. The only staff they provide is a bartender, so EVERYTHING from set up to take down must be planned out by you. If you are detailed oriented and have a great day-of-coordinator (like we did) this space is perfect.

We booked it for day one of our two-day wedding to celebrate my Cambodian heritage. This involved a parade through the park, a patio ceremony, an indoor ceremony, an outdoor ceremony, two cocktail hours, and a dinner reception. The Shawnessy Barn was easily able to transform to accommodate all of this.

Conveniently located within Shawinigan Park, there are beautiful walking paths and green spaces for photography, ceremonies and activities. The barn comes with a spacious patio, bartending (which includes unlimited non-alcoholic soda/juices), multiple washrooms, a kitchen, storage nooks, tables and chairs.

It's a very popular event space so the booking coordinator is VERY busy and sometimes we felt overlooked and unaccomodated. It took us a couple attempts to get our contract and deposit down (we also never received a receipt for the deposit). There is one day a month when you are allowed to look at the space and the sign up for this is hidden on the website. You don't have to sign up (because you can just show up and tour on your own) but if no one signs up this day will be rescheduled/cancelled.

We loved using the Shawnessy Barn and would book it for any other event in a heartbeat. We would also highly recommend this venue to others, but we completely understand why there are mixed reviews.

I have photographed a wedding here few times now ( Kathleen's Diamond Photography )... It is a cute little wedding venue, it is a perfect little spot for photography photos as well... Indoor is a little dark vibe like barn style... Super cute...

He provided plenty of opportunities for questions and gave clear instructions throughout the entire ride, all while maintaining friendly conversations before and after. My interactions with him were very pleasant. I would love to see more examiners who treat people this way.

Not very helpful made a joint purchase with my wife on a travel trailer She had signed the bill of sale, but did not print her name, and the lady would not allow me to add that without initials from all parties seemed kind of outrageous to me. Five minutes away I went to AMA. I am a member. They were very helpful and they have the ability to electronically transfer documents for additional information and signatures, which was very helpful.

I want to express my gratitude to Anna. She's the right person. She explained everything very quickly and competently. We had some confusion regarding our health insurance. She resolved our issue very professionally and respectfully.

Mr. Dalgeet was an amazing examiner. He was very kind from the start, which made me feel comfortable and confident. He kept a friendly conversation going, which really helped put me at ease. His instructions were clear and easy to follow, and overall, I had a great experience with him!!!

After a week of camping across BC and Alberta with the dog and kid we stopped at this hotel to rest, get clean, and have our kiddo enjoy the water park. This hotel did not disappoint. They were so welcoming and kind. The pet fee IS well worth it because the rooms are all pet friendly and you’d never know animals were in them. The beds were so comfy, bathroom clean, floors clean (though I prefer wood not carpet), and the water park was a blast for kids for hours.

Definitely recommend. Extra bonus is that it was SO quiet at night. Finally, a restful sleep!

Hotel was a great choice to spend a night with our 3 year old and dog.

Upon check in, front desk staff were friendly. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Pool is large and features a regular pool with different depths, a shallow (and warm) kids pool, 2 water slides and 2 hot tubs. Pools were clean and I was impressed to find one of the hot tubs and kids pool drained the next morning for cleaning.

Variety of restaurants but we only ate breakfast in the Colors Bistro - staff were amazing. Tobby was welcoming and Stacey was an excellent server. They have a buffet and menu option. 5 and under are free for the buffet.

Bonus is that it’s 12pm for checkout.. so it gives you time to swim once more time before heading out. Would stay here again.

Such a clean and beautiful hotel. Very cozy beds, nice amenities in the bathroom as well as an incredible little pool area with water slides, 2 hot tubs, a pool and cafeteria area(that has great food). The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We have just loved it here and would love to stay for more than one night! Highly recommend! Going to check out the restaurants they have on site tonight as well.

We were looking for a good hotel in Calgary for a long time. Our choice fell on the "Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel" and we were right. Excellent hotel, everything in the rooms is new, clean, very beautiful. Quiet, cozy atmosphere. The hotel itself is quite large, has many rooms. Polite, friendly staff. We really liked it here. We really recommend this hotel.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Calgary! Everything from Grant the GM, to all of his staff! (Peace was a wonderful lady at the front) they go above and beyond to help you with anything you need! The pool and water slides (2 in total) the fitness centre, plus 2 restaurants on site! Also pet friendly! I highly recommend!

This is our favorite place to stay when we're in Calgary! The rooms are clean, we get club lounge access which is a fantastic bonus for the pop and snacks. Staff are always so friendly, and the pool area is nice. Valet staff are amazing too. The location is great, we love going to Joey for dinner because it's right across the street. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, we will continue to bring our business here.

To start with the good, the location in Calgary was amazing and the staff was great to deal with.
The bad, the hotel room we had booked was filled so we either had to pay more for a nice room or take a different room layout with no bath.
We took the no bath option, just a stand up shower.
The room only had seating for over person to eat.
The shower flooded the whole bathroom, when I called the front desk they called a maintenance person that had said it was normal dew to poor quality renovations and the building knows about it.
I really wish they told me that when I had swapped from a room without a bath.
The headboard on the bed was scratched up.
There is only included parking is you live in Alberta, otherwise valet costs an additional $50 (not a negative, as I am from Alberta, but not clearly noted beforehand)

Amazing stay at the Sheraton Suites!

The location was amazing, especially because we had our dog with us who enjoyed the close proximity to Prince's Island Park for walks. The staff were always so friendly and helpful, making our visit very comfortable. Our hotel room was clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Couldn't recommend staying here enough!

This hotel is beautiful, the location couldn't get any better for enjoying some of the fun Calgary has to offer. The promenade by the river is so incredible, what a beautiful spot. Lots of restaurants around, short walk over from Stephens Avenue, which is so much fun any day of the week.

The amenities in the hotel are wonderful as well, fantastic gym, nice pool and hot tub, all the staff are very nice.

Valet parking only but there is a pay parking lot right out the front door which can be more convenient depending how busy the hotel is.

Quiet rooms, very clean.

So pleased with our experience! Haik showed professionalism, attention to detail, and continually made us feel at ease. The staff at shimoon helped us design our ring, taking into account our preferences but also bringing expertise. Could not recommend enough!

I happen upon Shimoon Jewlery by chance with needing a battery for a watch. The service given was quick and seamless. As we talked, I discovered the owner did custom jewlery, repaired jewlery, and paid for gold items no longer wanted.
I came back to Shimook with quite a few pieces of jewlery that needed repair. The pieces look like brand new after the repairs were done. Outstanding work.
Then I took in my unwanted gold jewlery, which they gave me a credit towards a custom design family ring. The staff was absolutely wonderful, they listened to what I was thinking and I felt comfortable with seeing what they could design for me. They included me in every step of the process, it was such a wonderful experience. I picked up my custom design ring tonight, and I can not express how happy I am with the results. It was exactly what I had invisioned.

I HIGHLY recommend Shimoon Jewelers. These guys take obvious pride in their work and it shows. I took a ring in to be resized and was warned I’d probably see a line but I can’t see anything, the ring looks amazing, fits perfectly and was returned looking like new. This will definitely be my new go-to!

Jill is a knowledgeable sales person! Great care and attention given. She was great to help narrow down my choices and fabric colour. I will be working again with Jill again on selecting more pieces for my room. I need side tables and lamps next! I’m so glad I got to meet and spend time with her.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and really took the time to help us find the perfect pieces for our space. The quality of the furniture is excellent — solid, beautiful, and built to last. Delivery was on time and the team was careful and respectful when setting everything up. We’ve had so many compliments already, and we’ll definitely be returning for future furniture needs. Highly recommend!

We rented a limo for our graduation, hoping to have a fun and memorable ride with friends, but the experience was anything but that. From the moment the limo arrived, the tech system inside was completely frozen — we couldn’t play music, adjust the lights, or close the divider. We asked the driver and staff for help, but were largely ignored as we sat in the driveway for over 20 minutes doing nothing.

Eventually, I had to tell the driver to just start driving because we were wasting time we had paid for. Even then, the system never worked, and we had to call customer service ourselves. The driver pulled over and got in the back to try to fix it, which wasted another 20+ minutes — still with no results. At that point, I gave up and said we’d just go without music, since we were running out of time.

Because of all the delays, we barely had a few minutes at one photo stop. With the time we booked, we should’ve been able to enjoy multiple stops and have a relaxed, celebratory ride. Instead, it was stressful, silent, and rushed — not the kind of memory you want to have for your graduation day.

Really disappointed in the lack of professionalism and support. We expected a premium experience, and instead we were left frustrated and let down.

Absolutely awful experience. The drivers had very little communication towards us, letting us figure everything out ourselves with no help. The limo arrived on time yet didn’t leave until we got our music playing, however, the bluetooth was broken with the screen to use it being frozen with nothing we could do. This alone set us back 15 minutes on an already relatively tight schedule. The host of the limo called her mom who promptly called the front of the limousine in which they stated they would pull over. They pulled over for another 15 minutes which had cut a total 30 minutes out of our 90 minute timeframe, and they couldn’t even fix the bluetooth issue. Once we were tired of waiting we decided to head back on and told the driver to just get us to our location, the driver left without a word which left us confused on what to do next. Due to this time-loss we could only arrive to 1/2 of our desired locations, with only 7 minutes instead of 10 to take pictures. Overall, this experience was very poor, with no communication or human like connection with the drivers. 1/5 stars, would not ever ride again.

My wedding was in August and I wanted to take some time to reflect before I wrote this review. We booked a limo for us and our bridal party for 3 hours to take photos and drive us out to our ceremony location. First of all, we booked the limo stretch SUV for 12 people. What came to pick us up was a party bus which was not at all the look we expected. Admittedly we were running late during photos (like every wedding ever) but were not in a panic as we assumed that if there was a hard stop on our time, the driver would’ve let us know, and that if we went overtime we would simply pay for the additional time. The groom and I weren’t checking our phones (again, like every bride and groom on their wedding day) so we did not receive the emails and phone call from head office warning us about our time. Meanwhile, the driver stood around the limo the entire time we were taking photos and did not say a word about our time. When we got back to our limo at 3:15 the driver refused to drive us to the ceremony location because he wouldn’t be able to make it there by 3:45 (our end time) and he had another client to pick up. We spent another 15 minutes in the parking lot, the groom arguing with the driver and dispatch who was extremely rude and unprofessional saying that it was our fault for being late and threatening legal action if we wrote unfavourable reviews. In the end, the driver said he would drive us but would leave us wherever he got to at 3:45. This ended up being the Deerfoot City parking lot. We had to call 4 Ubers to take us to our location and ended up being very late for our ceremony and not to mention extremely stressed. While again, we take responsibility for running late, it was NEVER communicated to us that there was a hard stop at a certain time. The driver had ample opportunity (3 hours to be exact) to let us know. Communicating with the bride and groom over emails on their wedding day is completely unreasonable, not to mention the extreme disrespect that dispatch showed towards my husband on the phone. I will never use this limo company again and do not recommend them to anyone. $800 later and we didn’t get to our destination and experienced a high level of unnecessary stress on our wedding day.

Terrible experience with Signature Limosines - they refused to complete the journey to deliver us (bride and groom with the wedding party) to our own wedding! The driver pulled off an exit from Deerfoot and dropped us off in a parking lot claiming they had another group to pick up.

Reason provided to us was that we were out of time on our contract, but the entire situation was incredibly unprofessional.

First, the driver could have notified us when we were running out of time. When i questioned them about this they informed me they had “emailed me” to let me know. For anyone who has been married, you can understand how ineffective emails are on the day of your wedding - while taking pictures with the wedding party. Second, when departing the hotel for pictures the driver was no where to be found for ~10 minutes leaving us in the limo waiting. This would not have been an issue, but had this delay not occurred there would have been no issue with getting us to our wedding.

I will not be trusting this organization with transportation again, and if you value getting to your destination I’d recommend you consider our situation.

This is the best place in Calgary to get light fixtures. After checking out so many places, we ended up here and the experience was fantastic. They have a very good selection and the prices were great. The service was amazing from beginning to end. From Mel our sales advisor, to Greg who was the first installer to come out, to George and Brett who came out the second time to install our last lights. They were all so super friendly, personable and helpful.

From the very first time I spoke with Stacey, I was really impressed by her professionalism, clear communication, and great organization. Bruce, the electrician who did the installation, was just as impressive. He showed up right on time, fully prepared, and worked with real skill—everything was neat, precise, and efficient. He also respected my home, making sure to keep the work area clean. What really stood out to me was how well Stacey and Bruce worked together. At first we required and placed an order for some specific LED bulbs which arrived to the store location quickly, once in the store it was a great experience and we also found a bedroom ceiling fan at a super price; bought it and thought we should get a remote.
Marcy went above and beyond in helping make sure the remote was ordered and scheduled for install by technician Wes who did an amazing job, very friendly & professional making sure everything was in working order and cleaned up.

I came in looking for sconces. They have a good selection at decent prices but I was not greeted when I walked in and just left to wander the store by myself for 10-15 minutes before anyone asked if I needed help. The person helping me looked at one item for me then never came back...I wandered a bit more then left. I was pretty impressed with the selection of lighting and home decor. If the person had come back I probably would have bought some lights.
