My husband and I just returned from an incredible 8 day cruise with Virgin Voyages. Emily at The Luxury Travel Agency took care of EVERYTHING for us. We were given priority boarding and were able to completely skip the boarding line, meaning we were among the first people to get on the ship and start our vacation right away. This was a trip for my 30th birthday and Emily helped my husband surprise me by upgrading our interior room to a balcony room without me knowing until we got to the room. It was such a nice birthday gift ,and I was truly shocked and touched. Emily really went above and beyond to help make this trip a memorable one. I have been working with Cory since 2007 when I took my kids to Disneyland. Since then she has helped myself and other family members with several trips to fantastic destinations, the most recently being a much anticipated trip to Italy. She gave me the best price out of all the agencies I contacted and beat every other quote I received. We just went to the Royalton in Jamaica. There were 6 adults, and 5 children, from 10 years to 5 months. Rachel did all the planning for us. With so many of us the food was an issue, as we had vegetarians, food allergies, food sensitivities and lactose intolerance, so making sure this was not going to be a problem was very important to us. We had wonderful service, and a great variety of food. The resort was beautiful, the pools were sparkling clean, the beach was clean and we had a lot of fun on boogie boards riding the waves. Our rooms were spacious and clean and the balconies faced the ocean. We had a great time thanks to all of Rachels hard work in planning the perfect family vacation. If you’re looking to travel to Central Europe, Adrien Bonot is your guy. Great choice of pre-reading material; great tips and recommendations for a leisurely but rich itinerary; and a great listener.

For the first time, we decided to get our trip organized by a travel agency. We were going to Australia and did not want to take chances. We are very happy we took that decision. We got in touch with Voyageurs du Monde (we had heard of them by a friend in Toulouse). They were just excellent. Organized our trip the way we wanted, they were very good at informing us and were very responsive to any of our requests while travelling. We had a wonderful trip, loved Australia and had wonderful experiences in Port Douglas, the Great Barrier and the rain forest. We were very lucky with the weather 24th August - 9th of September sunny warm for the season in Sydney (no wind, i.e. our trips snorkeling were fantastic. Thank you Christelle, Aurelie, Aurelia and Denis in Sydney.

We used their services when planning our honeymoon in Japan and they were very flexible in the services they offered. Gave great suggestions of places to visit during our stay, places we had never heard of that ended up being stunning. I'm very happy that we found them. Floriane Trinel, Christophe and his team were very accommodating with my friend and I while we were on our trip to Whistler. Floriane talked to me about everything we needed to know and handed me our booklet about all our vouchers and information for our trip before leaving. Everything was already booked and well taken care of and if there was something or a question I really needed to be answered, Floriane or Christophe and his team would be there to answer within a call or an email. Our trip went fast and smoothly but without Floriane's help, I would be lost and I am grateful that she was there every step of the way whenever I needed help. Would definitely use this service again for future vacations.

Thanks to the great support of the team ( Alyssa) we had a super time traveling through western Canada. Everything was perfect organized started with the tour configuration (adjusted to our needs & wishes), the campgrounds booked for us, the RV selected and some updates during our road trip. The roadblock helped to prioritize what to see and what to do.

We never drove an RV before, but that was something we wanted to do for a long time. And it’s so fun, driving in this country is easy, even with a long motorhome. Camping in the middle of the woods, near a river … No need to pack in and out every evening/morning in a hotel, it’s cozy and the perfect solution when travelling with a baby.

I definitely recommend the rental company Authentik Canada. Their service was all you could wish for. The camper was very modern, everything you need is in there. Kitchen, bed (damn we slept well..), shower, coach,.. One day we might even buy one ourselves … 😊

The campers of Authentik Canada have slide outs, it means that when you’re on the campsite the side can slide out so you have more room inside, which is extremely comfortable and a big overall bonus … There are different types of campers, from small (2p) to very big (7p).

We’ve picked up the camper in Vancouver and dropped it off in Calgary, very useful! Off course a round trip is also possible, which is cheaper.

The camper as you can see is from Canadream, but renting with authentik Canada (as a 2nd party) is cheaper than direct with Canadream or any other rental company..

My experience with Authentik Canada has been nothing short of a huge disappointment. After booking a trip with them for 2020 and Authentik Canada being the only company out of a two month trip that was not willing to refund during the pandemic we had no choice but to retain our credit and use it to rebook our holiday in 2022. We booked a hire car. The paper work sent through had the incorrect names of drivers for the vehicle listed I requested this be changed at the time and was assured that this would not affect the booking and can be sorted out by the Hire car Company (Thrifty) on collection. When we arrived at Thrifty we were very promptly told that they could not help us and we would not be able to take our car until Authentik Canada amended the booking to include the correct names. I phoned to have this corrected and was told that they could not make an amendment without cancelling the booking and rebooking the trip, and there was now no vehicles available for rebooking. This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. We were lucky that Thrifty made an exception and altered the booking, this is against their policy because we booked through a third party. Please consider looking elsewhere when planning your next holiday. No one wants to experience an issue whilst on holidays but knowing that this company will do nothing to help when you experience a problem caused by their own incompetence is beyond a joke.

Disastrous Car Rental Experience: Misleading Charges and Unhelpful Customer Service, Inestimable Loss of Time, and a $207 Financial Scam at Avis via Authentik Canada - Far From Authentic!

I requested a reservation change from July 27th to 30th, adding an extra day until July 31st. They sent an email stating the price would increase from $440 to $517, a difference of $77. However, upon arrival, the reservation hadn't been modified, and they wanted to charge me $130 for the additional day, double the agreed price! They also added a $60 charge for an extra driver (my brother) despite the website stating it was free for drivers sharing the same address. I ended up paying 284$ instead of 77$ a big difference of 207$-that is a scam!

When I called to fix the reservation, I spent 30 minutes begging the agent to help, but she claimed she couldn't because I didn't give a second approval, even though I initiated the change. Their customer service was ridiculous! The agent wasted my time, and the 30 minutes were deducted from my rental return time, resulting in an extra charge since I planned to return at 10:30. I ended up paying 284$ instead of 77$ a big difference of 207$-that is a scam!

This experience was a nightmare, and I'm deeply disappointed with their unprofessionalism and terrible customer service. I won't recommend their services and will look for better options for future car rentals."
Beware of Hidden Fees and Avoid at All Costs!

We worked with Stephanie at Downunder Travel on our month long visit to Australia and New Zealand in January 2025. We knew a few destinations we wanted to visit but we weren't too familiar with either country so Stephanie created a fantastic itinerary for us, including flight and transportation arrangements, hotels, magnificent tours and excursions and must see destinations. We were thoroughly pleased with our trip and can't wait to visit again. For anyone considering a trip to either country or the region Down Under we would highly recommend getting in touch with Stephanie.

Our trip to Adelaide and Kangaroo Island was beyond expectations. So many incredible landscapes, warm friendly people and more kangaroos, koalas, seals.amd sea lions than I ever expected to see. Flinders National Park was breathtaking. The full day excursion on Kangaroo Island included lunch in an old sheep shearing shed, converted to event space. Meals at Sea Dragon Lodge were excellent, served in a beautiful room overlooking the ocean. We were very impressed with the itinerary that Stephanie planned for us and would love to return to Australia again.

From my first phone call with Ryan Kennedy at Downunder Travel, I knew I had found the perfect person to help us plan our trip. I told him in only the most general terms where we wanted to go (Australia, New Zealand, and French Polynesia), for how long we wanted to travel (5–6 weeks), what we wanted to see (beautiful landscapes and interesting wildlife—no wineries and no museums), the type of accommodation we wanted (comfortable but not exclusive hotels in safe, convenient places), and the kind of trip we wanted (easy, not jampacked, and ending with complete relaxation). He replied, “I already have your trip planned in my head. Leave it to me.” Ryan has been doing this for a long time, and it shows in all the best ways. He organized the ideal trip for us. Every place we went was beautiful, every tour he booked for us took us to stunning spots we might not have seen otherwise, and every hotel was just what we wanted. The trip was perfectly paced: we did something every day, but, gratefully, no day was too crammed with activities. Being away for as long as we were, we didn’t want to feel exhausted and unable to enjoy what we were doing. Equally important, Ryan had us stay at each hotel for at least two nights, usually three, so we weren’t always on the move. That would have been tough! But, the best thing that Ryan did was take away the worry of planning the trip. I didn’t have to debate with myself about where exactly to go, where to stay, and what to do while there. I didn’t have to coordinate 11 flights, 13 airport–hotel transfers, 15 hotels, at least 11 organized excursions, and a rental car. Ryan did it all by listening well, offering the best advice for us, being efficient and communicative, and demonstrating humour. We had an amazing, hassle-free trip, and there is no doubt in my mind that a huge part of that is because of Ryan.

We just returned from a month in Southeast Asia. It was a wonderful trip organized by Stephanie from Down Under Travel. We visited Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. We saw everything we wanted to see and more. The trip was very well organized. The tour guides and drivers were amazing. Hotels were lovely. Buffet breakfast were plentiful with lots of choices. Optional meals included were great.
This is the second trip we have been on organized by Stephanie. Our last trip she organized was to Australia.
Never disappoints. We hope to book Japan with her very soon.

My husband and I got married on Aug 9th 2025 and we can’t say enough good things about Lisa and her team!

My mom and I originally were going to plan and organize it all ourselves, but we met Lisa at a bridal fair about two years prior and I’m so glad we did! She kept us on track the entire time leading up to the big day. She suggested vendors within our budget and came up with some amazing ideas that our guests loved!

If that’s not convincing enough her and her team really came through on the rehearsal day and the day of. Her team was at the venue as soon as we got the keys and they were setting up the exact thing that we had pictured without me or my mother having to worry at all.

Lisa took the reins and the day of, was super easy and low-stress for me and my mother who was helping me plan! She took care of the timing and stepped in seemingly to be in many different places at once. She always made sure the bridal party was taken care of at all times and she made sure that the guests were informed and having fun!

We used Lisa to rent a ton of wedding decor and lights and chairs for our outdoor ceremony. She was very reasonably priced and had so much to choose and pick from.

2 months before our wedding we had our bartender, flower lady, table cloth lady and cake decorator back out all within a week of each other. I called Lisa at 10PM basically in tears and she was calm and said thats what im here for lets start with one and work our way through the others.
At the end of the call we basically had a plan for all 4 things and before she let me go to bed she made sure I felt better.

What an amazing stay! From check-in to check-out, the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto was exceptional. Shortly after arrival, we were greeted by the Manager of concierge, she truly did make our stay one we will never forget. Thank you again, for making a birthday celebration so special.

Our recent stay at the Four Seasons Toronto was wonderful, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. The suite was incredibly spacious and designed with thoughtful touches that made our stay very comfortable, especially traveling with a baby. The two full bathrooms in the suite were particularly useful and a huge convenience.
The hotel's decor is beautiful, contributing to a truly luxurious atmosphere. Most of the service was excellent and met the high standards we've come to expect from the Four Seasons. We were checked in by a team member in training who was very kind, though they didn't have a chance to walk us through all the hotel amenities and benefits. This was a minor point, as everything else was fantastic.
The only other small hiccup was on our last morning, when the breakfast restaurant was extremely busy with a 25-minute wait. Despite these two small points, our experience was fantastic from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our time and can't wait to return on our next trip to Toronto.

Beautiful hotel located in Yorkville. Close to the ROM, and many luxury stores and food services. They gave us a graduation gift pastry, as well as upgraded the room. The room service breakfast was amazing, delicious pastries. Staff were all helpful and kind, delivering amazing service throughout our stay. The room was clean and modern, with many unique amenities like wireless charging and a bluetooth speaker. The valet service was also spectacular. Can't recommend them enough.

The Drifter is an excellent suite. The room is spacious but feels cozy, the decor is so tastefully done and in keeping with the age of the building with wooden beams, thick exposed stone walls and large wooden window sills. The kitchen is lovely and has brand new appliances and everything you need to cook, there is a grocery store very close by and easy to walk to. The bed was very comfortable and our grandson slept on the pull out and was also very comfortable. There were lots of extra pillows and blankets. The free standing tub, washer, dryer, robes, lots of drawer space and free parking at the back were all pluses. We wished we could have stayed longer, and would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are spacious and with the beams and brick exposed you get a feel of the ordinal house built in the 1800s. Large and roomy with a modern bathroom and high-end upgrades. Beautiful windows. We will be back. If you have any mobility issues there are stairs to some suites so ensure to request a main floor suite.

We stayed here for 1 night. The room was very nice, good size and super clean we really enjoyed it! Bed was great too.

Location sucks as this town is all but empty. If this room was in a major city it would be 2-3x the price. Really nice!

We wanted a quiet, clean and unique place to stay for a few nights in the area. This was a great option. It was close to many trails. The bed was comfortable as was the spacious seating area. Great shower! Interesting architecture.

The room was nice, but its on a big road and we had a hard time getting into the flat. The keypad at the door was unreadable (see photo). Prior to checking in, they provided this email with check-in instructions (see below) asking us to be patient etc. with frequent ALL CAPS as if we would all BE STUPID, to make sure that no-one tried to check-in too early. And then have an unreadable lock and a terrible check-in experience!? Doesn't work for me. When we were in front of the door, we tried to contact people via email (since we didn't want to make a call from a non-Canadian phone). No reply, no apologies.

Fellow guests, here is a tip: wetting the screen lets you see the numbers!

Lock Instructions: You need to touch the keypad with the back of your hand to activate the keypad. THE LOCK IS ON THE DOOR DIRECTLY ABOVE THE HANDLE. Enter the code provided and then touch star. You must touch star for the lock to work. The lock takes a few seconds to unlock, please be patient. To lock the door when you leave simply close the door and touch the back of your hand to the keypad (you will hear it lock). Your door will also automatically lock within 30 seconds after you leave the suite.

I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel, and it stood out as one of the highlights of my trip.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The bellman immediately came downstairs to greet us, helped us with our luggage, and carried everything up the stairs to the check-in desk. That first impression already felt welcoming. At check-in, the staff noticed we had a toddler with us and kindly offered a deer stuffed toy, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel cared for right away.

The communication was smooth and attentive throughout, and the staff made sure to take care of us and our luggage all the way to the room. The check-in process was seamless and professional. Our room itself was spotless, very clean, and clearly well maintained. The hotel overall felt organized, polished, and genuinely focused on hospitality.

The location was another big plus—it’s right next to the shopping street, with plenty of restaurants nearby, making it very convenient to explore the city. The building is well maintained, and the lobby is clean and inviting.

We also had brunch at the hotel’s restaurant, Bar George, which was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, and although I wish we had time to try their bar and cocktails, the brunch experience was enough to show how great it is.

Overall, this was a fantastic stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, the facilities were well cared for, and everything felt organized and easy. If I return to Montreal, I would definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Mount Stephen in Montreal. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. They even surprised our little one with a soft toy, which made him so happy and created such a thoughtful touch for our family.

The hotel restaurant is excellent, and I highly recommend dining there during your stay. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The location is also perfect, right in downtown Montreal with plenty of restaurants and shopping malls nearby.

Although the hotel is not very large, it is beautifully maintained, stylish, and full of great photo spots. It really has a special charm. We were a group of six and booked two rooms for two nights, and everything about our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Whether you are traveling as a couple, with family, or even on business, this hotel is a fantastic choice. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were stunning — from the automatic drapes and immaculate cleanliness to the ultra-comfortable bed. The bathroom was a highlight, with a luxurious rain shower and a high-tech Toto toilet that does everything except give you a massage! The location is perfect, just steps from St. Catherine Street. Absolutely phenomenal and highly recommended.

We stayed at Le Mount Stephen a few weeks ago and were very excited after reading so many glowing reviews. The hotel is stunning, and the staff we met were friendly, but our upgraded two-story Sky Loft Suite With Terrace—at $1,000 a night—was a complete letdown and ruined our stay.

Yes, the room had luxury touches: a beautiful tub overlooking the city, high-tech controls, a great showerhead, and Toto toilet seats. But when the basics don’t work, none of that matters. The air conditioning barely functioned, leaving the room sweltering all night. We couldn’t sleep, which ruined the trip entirely. At this price point, a broken AC is simply unacceptable.

The refrigerator was also broken, so none of our drinks stayed cold. We requested ice multiple times, but the hotel ignored us—two phone calls and two trips to the front desk later, we finally got some. The remote-controlled fireplace didn’t work either; it just squeaked and failed to turn on.

We reported these issues repeatedly and were assured someone would come fix them. Nobody ever did. By day two, we gave up asking because it was clear management wasn’t going to address anything. Apologies mean little when nothing gets resolved.

The only redeeming features of the room were the tub and the terrace, but even those couldn’t make up for the sleepless nights. The first-floor nightclub makes excellent cocktails, but it’s loud and packed with non-hotel guests, making it hard to get seating. Breakfast in the same space, however, was excellent.

Special recognition goes to the housekeeper on the 10th floor—she noticed our AC wasn’t working and kindly offered us extra water to help. Her kindness stood out, but sadly, the rest of the stay didn’t match her effort.

Le Mount Stephen is a gorgeous property, but until management addresses these glaring issues in their upgraded rooms, I cannot recommend staying here. At $1,000 a night, guests should expect comfort, working amenities, and responsive service—not broken AC, ignored requests, and sleepless nights. If you encounter the same problems we did, ask for your money back and move to another hotel immediately, because chances are, no one will come to fix them.

For my wedding, Erin Carmichael (co-owner and florist) provided us with boutonnières that died after 1 hour so we couldn't even take pictures with them. It's very disappointing since she charged us $20 for each boutonnière. When we complained, Stacey (co-owner) said: "flowers are living things and they die". When we emailed Erin some time later, she said: "I am happy to refund you" and "I will send the refund later today". But after that she ignored us and never refunded us, despite multiple reminders. Bad service.

The bouquets also died after a couple hours and looked too sad for pictures. When you pay so much for flowers ($125-200 per bouquet), you want to be able to take pictures with them but our photographers said they looked too tired. And it wasn't even hot that day.

Another issue we had with the florist is the backdrop behind our sweetheart table. We asked for 2 cherry blossom trees and a chandelier. She charged us $850 and the result was completely different than what we discussed. $850 for a few fake branches attached to a copper pipe, and a crooked chandelier which wasn't even on. Again, very disappointing. When we complained about it, she said: "I am very confused as to why you were unhappy with your head table backdrop" and then: "I stand behind what we provided".

Floral design is way overpriced and the flowers don't last. When you complain, they get defensive and blame it on you. Their creative freedom is more important than what the bride and groom ask.

Bouquet design and the centrepieces were nice.

The Hazelton Hotel truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by how beautiful the area is and how grand the hotel feels. Everything is spotless, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, making it such a pleasure just to be here.

What really sets the Hazelton apart is the level of service. I have never experienced such outstanding customer care anywhere else. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable, seamless, and special. They were attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they genuinely care about their guests.

It’s rare to find a place that combines luxury, warmth, and excellence in every detail—but the Hazelton does exactly that. I left feeling impressed and taken care of in every way. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay.

I stayed at the Hazelton for 5 days while visiting my daughter and I'm so glad she recommended it. All the staff I met were highly professional, friendly and accommodating. It reminded me of watching a documentary about The Savoy. The room was fabulous, clean, well-appointed and cozy for such a large space. Yorkville felt very safe for walking around. Restaurants were simply wonderful, elegant yet casual with excellent menus. This place is one I HIGHLY recommend!

From start to finish, a wonderful addition to the Toronto hotel scene. I come a few times a year to town and have never really found the right repeat spot. The Hazelton definitely delivered. The service is consistent and exceptional, and the amenities (gym, etc.) are on point for the top of the market. Very strong recommendation.

My stay at The Hazelton Hotel was outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the level of service, attention to detail, and warmth from the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. even after returning after several months, the waitress at ONE Bar still remembered my usual drink.

Took the two bedroom suite for 7 nights. The suite was very clean and spacious but at the same time very basic for 2000$/night. The service wasn’t the greatest as they kept us waiting for several times when we would request something or they’d simply forget. They also visit your room way too many times and sometimes it feels like they’re just waiting for you to top them and if you were to you would run out of cash in no time because of the number of visits you get for absolute no reason.

A fantastic stay at The Westley in downtown Calgary! From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, stylish, and welcoming. The hotel has a modern, boutique feel with thoughtful design touches throughout.
Our room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The location is also excellent, within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and river pathways.

Would definitely recommend The Westley for anyone visiting Calgary — whether for business or a weekend getaway. We'll be staying here again

After spending a few days in different hotels across Canada while travelling, The Westley was a breath of fresh air. It was very clean and in a convenient location. But above all else, the woman who checked us in Haleigh was beyond an absolute delight. She was so personable and kind, she made the check in experience fantastic, especially after a full day of travelling (give her a raise!). We will definitely be booking again when we come back to Calgary.

We booked this hotel for the first night of our honeymoon and it was excellent. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Arvin who checked us in. We got a little gift of sweets and a card congratulating us on the room too which was a lovely touch. The room was lovely, and the bed was so comfortable. We’d definitely recommend the hotel, and would come back if we return to Calgary.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise! We booked it for an overnight after flying into Calgary and starting a tour in Banff the next day. It started with a beautiful swan and heart towel origami display on the bed and a note from the hotel, and sweets in honor of our wedding anniversary! The upgraded room was perfect! The Mexican tapas restaurant was an unexpected gem with the most hospitable waiter, Ryland. I would definitely go back!!!

I'm staying here for the second year in a row! This time I was with a company of friends, we rented the whole house, and it was fabulous! The two rooms on the upper level have a huge jetted tub and shower, large comfortable beds with crisp white linens and towels! The three rooms on the lower level are smaller, but very cozy, each with its own fridge, TV, and bathroom. What more could you want? There's a spacious shared kitchen, pool table, fireplace, lounge area, hot tub and bbq!
And an absolutely amazing view of the river!
This place is magical, we will come back here again and again!😍

Book a two night vacation here on a whim, and I'm glad I did. The area was so nice and peaceful and the views along the river are very nice.
The staff had great communication and the room was very clean.
Only a 20 minute walk to the CF Market Mall is an excellent bonus too. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet area that's near HWY 1 to Banff.

We had high hopes for this stay. My husband and I were looking for a chill NYE so we booked this room for a night because it had the jacuzzi. We had the Queen room. Overall it was pleasant but likely won’t be coming back.

We loved the amenities of the room, like fireplace, the jacuzzi, skylight and steam shower. It was clean and spacious. The price was right too.

The reason it’s not a five star review is because of the following:

- we could not get enough hot water to really use the jacuzzi with the jets. There was someone in the king room next door and so we were battling for the hot water our entire stay
- not enough hot water for the steam shower
- the jacuzzi jets were not clean. When we turned them on a bunch of stuff came out. The host said it was hardened water but it didn’t seem like it. Sounds like they don’t clean them enough
- walls in the queen room are quite thin, you can hear everything
- the chain in the toilet loosened and wouldn’t flush properly but we just fixed that ourselves

We reported all of these to the host via text and didn’t get very compassionate responses. It was clear they were not going to help us.

So if the above doesn’t bother you, it’s an excellent stay and I would highly recommend!

This place was absolutely lovely and felt like they had thought of every little detail. Everything was clean, classy and cozy. The jacuzzi was lovely, bed was comfy and there was a nice assortment of little breakfast items/drinks available. The only confusing part was parking (it had snowed and the three spots were full.) I would love to spend another night there when we have the chance.

Beautiful location right next to the bike trail. The river runs directly behind the house. You can sit outside and enjoy the water and sunshine. The rooms are great and the house is well maintained. We stayed in the largest suite. Very nicely decorated, roomy and comfortable with its own balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

We are glad with our stay in the hotel! We arrived Calgary and I didn't feel well, so I was worried we might not get a room. However, the front desk lady helped us with early check-in without us requesting. We booked a corner room that is more spacious. The extra hallway gave more room for our luggages. The room is clean and modern. There is a central panel where you can control pretty much everything in the room.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, just steps away from the riverside. Many attractions are within walking distance. It has three restaurants downstairs too. Will stay again next time!

We stayed at Alt Hotel Calgary East Village for a wedding and will never stay at this brand again.

When we booked through the wedding link on July 31, the rate shown was under $189/night for two beds. Strangely, the confirmation email we received from the hotel did not include the room rate. At no point during check-in or digital check-in was the price disclosed. Only at checkout did we discover I was being charged $209/night.

To make things worse, my family members—who stayed in larger king rooms—were all charged $169/night. When I questioned the front desk, I was told rates “fluctuate based on occupancy.” In other words, the “group discount” link wasn’t really a discount at all—it was a moving target.

Later, the hotel admitted in writing that they deliberately do not include rates in confirmations and even instructed the wedding couple not to share exact rates with guests. That is the definition of misleading and non-transparent. No reputable hotel should operate this way.

I’ve traveled widely and stayed in many hotels, and I’ve never once booked a room without the nightly rate clearly displayed and confirmed at time of booking. Hiding the price until checkout is unacceptable.

The result? Guests who booked early, in good faith, ended up paying more than those who booked later. The hotel may claim this is “policy,” but the truth is it’s a terrible way to treat guests and wedding parties.

Alt Hotel lost my trust, and I will never book with this brand again. If you value honesty, transparency, and fairness, book elsewhere.

We stayed one night in Calgary before going to Banff. After a long day of travel, we were very comfortable with our stay.

The bathroom had a nice rain shower option. The toiletries were high quality. The blackout shades provided nice shades to block out light.

The gym has a Peleton bike, two treadmills and a spin bike, a set of weights up to 25 lbs and exercises balls and mats.

We had free parking since we came after 10 and could park on the street and we left before 9 AM.

Highly recommended if you’re staying in downtown Calgary.

We stayed here for our wedding and it was fantastic. The room was very comfortable, complete with black out curtains. Additionally, the staff left a little gift in our room to help us celebrate our wedding. The manager was easy to communicate with and made getting a room block for the few out of
town guests we had very easy. I would stay here again.

A modern boutique hotel with touch controls for everything inside the room.

Positives:
The bed was very comfortable. It was also very nice being able to use Chromecast to cast my own shows/movies onto the tv. The towels were clean and stain free and the toiletries provided were great. I appreciate the hotel's commitment to being environmentally conscious.

Negatives:
The blinds do not block out sunlight very well as they do not overlap, and leave lots of gaps in the middle of the window. There is no fan in the washroom. The rainfall shower is a nice touch, however, the temperature of the water did not stay consistent and was never hot enough. There is no on-site parking available.

We had booked the room directly through the hotel's website and as such were provided with the option of free late check out, which was requested and confirmed upon check in that we will check out at 1:30 pm the next day. However, at 11:50 am, our room cards stopped working and we got locked out of the room. The concierge was able to amend the error, but it was a pretty inconvenient incident.

The staff, the rooms, the location.... This is everything you could ever want in a hotel.
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The views of the river from all rooms we've stayed at are very nice and romantic at night.
You're right in the heart of the old city and there is so much to do in walking distance.

We had the most amazing stay here at the end of May. The location is excellent with easy walking everywhere. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a great view over the harbour.

We loved our cozy room with its gorgeous water views—it felt so peaceful and was a great spot to unwind. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, though the bed was a bit on the lumpy side. We could hear some loud door-slamming from other guests, which wasn’t ideal, but overall, it was a relaxing stay.

The toiletries in the shower were running low, but we didn’t ask for more since shared ones aren’t our favourite (we don’t like the idea of previous guests tampering with them). The front desk team was amazing and made late checkout super easy. Valet parking was a little over $50 a night, and they took excellent care of our large SUV—no scratches, which we really appreciated!

Dining on the terrace the first night was such a treat. The views were stunning, the service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the experience. Would happily stay and dine here again!

I don’t even know where to begin, our stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the entire trip. Every single detail of our stay was thoughtfully curated, and it truly felt like a home away from home, with a luxurious twist.

The room was stunning, exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and massive windows overlooking the St. Lawrence River made it feel like we were in a romantic movie. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the bathroom was pristine and well-stocked, and I couldn’t get enough of the little touches like plush robes, fancy toiletries, and complimentary coffee and water.

Breakfast at Taverne Gaspar every morning was such a treat, delicious, fresh, and made to order. And don’t even get me started on the rooftop terrace. Watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand while the city buzzed below us was pure magic.

The location couldn’t be more perfect. Right in the heart of Old Montreal, we were steps away from incredible restaurants, charming boutiques, and beautiful historic sites. Yet, inside the hotel, it was quiet and peaceful, like a hidden oasis.

Above all, the staff made this experience extraordinary. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and having a great time.

Hands down, this was the best stay we've ever had. If you’re visiting Montreal and want a truly special experience, do yourself a favor and stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port. We’re already dreaming of coming back

We spent a weekend here for my wife's birthday. Everything about our stay was fabulous! Highly recommend this hotel for those looking for a boutique vibe for their stay.

Book it! Location, positive vibes and rooftop pool! Walking distance to all the great spots in Toronto! I survived breast cancer and this was my celebration stay! Luxury hotel in Toronto. Very nice cleaning and front desk staff. Room was very comfortable and clean. Rooftop pool was incredible with views of CN tower. There is a reasonably cheap parking structure a block away if you don’t want to use valet (318 Wellington street W).

Only negatives were 1) you had to book a 2 hour reservation to use the pool due to space limitations. 2) there is a busy nightclub on the ground floor and a popular bar/restaurant next to the pool. This spoils the hotel atmosphere somewhat and massively increases foot traffic. When arriving we did not enjoy having to bring suitcases through crowds of party-goers.

We just finished a 6-day small group tour to Banff and Jasper with Calgary Tours, and it was a truly wonderful experience!

Especially thanks to our tour guide and driver, Robert Liu, who accompanied us through the trip. He was not only professional but also incredibly humorous and fun, bringing lots of laughter to our journey. He was incredibly passionate, knowledgeable and attentive- he shared so many interesting facts about the Rockies, helped us take group photos. You could really feel he loves his job and cares about the guests.

The itinerary was well organized, and each stop had plenty of time to enjoy and explore. Would definitely travel with them again!

I took a 6 days trip with Calgary tours. All tour guides are friendly, patient, and nice. Allen and David provided lots of details for the scenic points. All breakfast and lunch are great, and big portion. Hotels are comfortable. Maybe the only hope is, if the tour could extend the stay time a bit for some scenic points. And please notify customers tour guides contact information or who will pick up the customers in the morning. I was worried missing my tour guide on a specific day and had to call emergency number as I donot know who is the one will pick me up and the guide phone number. Overall, the trip is wonderful and I love it!

My husband and I took the 4-Day Rockies Special Tour | Banff, Jasper & Yoho National Park this August. The trip was very well organized, and we were able to visit many beautiful sites. We were also lucky to spot some wildlife along the road, including black bears, a grizzly, elk, a nesting bald eagle, and a few smaller mammals. The hotels provided were very clean, comfortable, and served great food. Overall, we are very happy with the company and the tour. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

I do have one suggestion regarding the Wildlife Photography Tour (which we joined as part of the larger package). The timing of this tour in August was not ideal. By the time we reached the wildlife viewing areas, the sun had already set, making it too dark to spot animals. Even Vermilion Lakes, which are supposed to glow reddish at dusk, were barely visible. This tour would benefit from better scheduling, with earlier start times in August and September. While June and July may work well with the current timing, later months clearly require adjustments to maximize wildlife sightings.

Other than that, we have no suggestions for improvement.

Booking the tour directly through the website was pretty easy and any questions we had were also answered by calling the company. We chose/paid for the excursions and service fee (tips) upfront. The hotels and included breakfasts exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide and driver were informative and kept us on-time. The excursions (Banff gondola, Lake cruise and Snocoach at the Icefields) were beautiful and worth it. We did not include lunches or have lunch at Lake Louise as we chose to walk around/hike and enjoy the surroundings on our own. Things to note: There are assigned seats on the coach, so if motion sickness is a concern, you may consider paying for/requesting a seat towards the front of the bus. (As they announce hotels, excursions etc by seat number, I understand why they do this). The tour is conducted in English and Mandarin. It took me a little to adjust to accents (may also have been due to my listening ability and the microphone). I am the type of person who enjoys getting to know people on my tour. As this tour appeared to be a combination of people on 2-5 day tours, it was not always the same group and our particular group had less English speaking guests, so we tended to stick to ourselves more. Overall, it was a very good value for us and we saw a lot of the area and had time to explore on our own as well. There is something to be said for not having to wait for shuttles or finding parking on your own and just being able to enjoy your surroundings (it's also a 3+ hr drive to Jasper). That being said, you are on the tour's timetable. We would have enjoyed longer visits at some locations, but then you sacrifice others or arrive back at the hotel very late. One way we made the most of our time was purchasing to-go lunch items in grocery stores in town prior to leaving in the mornings so we had time to enjoy our stops to their fullest. We were both very happy with the tour and loved these areas! It was a great value, included a lot of stunning places, and was well organized. Thank you Calgary Tours for a wonderful vacation!
