I attended my friend’s wedding at Château Royal in Laval and was blown away. The venue is gorgeous, the ballroom elegant, and the atmosphere perfect for a celebration. The staff were attentive and professional, making sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend Château Royal for weddings or special events.

From the very beginning of planning our daughters Sweet 16 with Tina to the day of the event with Helene and Peter on-site, every little detail was expertly managed. On the day of the celebration, Helene was a tremendous help with our morning setup, while both her & Peter ensured we had everything we needed during our party. This was our first event at Chateau Royal, but certainly not our last! I just wish I had found Chateau Royal sooner!

The hall is nice, clean but hasn't had a revamp or renovations in years. Looks the same as it was in 2010. Other halls in Laval have invested more proactively. Aside that service is good food (varies per venue) was ok; could be improved.

My family hosted my baby shower at Chateau Royal last Sunday and I was beyond satisfied with this venue. The food (lunch buffet), room, and service were exceptional! I received many compliments from the guests regarding the service and buffet quality. I am so happy they decided to host the event there as it made the day even more memorable! Thank you Chateau Royal :)

Very nice and spacious venue. Everything is clean and the staff is very nice and efficient in their way of working. They don't seem to provide chairs and tables though, which is a bit of a bummer.

I was at Le Madison in April 2015. The place was incapable. Everything was great except we had to wait for a bit for the room to be accessible. I recommend this place for any event. Furthermore, there is plenty of parking space at the back of the building. Thanks to the staff for the service.

Show was hilarious, theater was a little old looking but staff was super nice and accommodating. Make bar tender wasn't as friendly as the rest of the staff.

The theater is small compared to other theaters in Montreal or else where.
The entrance was fluid as the staff were checking the vaxi passport and the tickets, masks are not optional during the show. The location of the theater is hard for parking so better come one hour in advance to find a good parking spot.
The shows are variable and the place has a website you came check all the upcoming shows.
Not my last time.

This place is falling apart sadly. I saw the empire strips back and the show its self was good however, the seating is bad. Could hardly see the stage from the balcony. Chandelier looks like it will fall at any moment.
All the staff was very kind!

Missing this spot these days...from Built to Spill to Slowdive, definitely saw a lot of memorable bands and had amazing times here. The sightlines and sound were always bang on, never had a hard time enjoying myself in this space. It’s just big enough, just warm enough and it feels like you’re surrounded by a rich history of vibe every time you enter the place. Wish I could go chill there now in fact...

Absolutely mesmerizing show; possibly one of the best shows you’ll ever get to watch wether you are a Star Wars fan or not at all; the production values; choreography, professional dancers, the music and so much more are absolutely top notch! A++

When I walked by the building I was curious about it. I wished to see inside. Thanks to Harry Potter Yule Bal Celebration event, I had the opportunity to go in and it was beautifully decorated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Came here for a Cheese and Wine party. Great a d exceptionnal venue with a big open space and 2 floors (bars were on both floor and tables on the side were available for food). As a guest, I enjoyed myself, it was a cool experience.

We just went to the Harry Potter Ball and they hosted it here. The whole thing was amazing. It's a good venue. It used to be a church which they converted into a venue, and as someone who checks out venues for future clients to host parties or even weddings. This is a massive recommend venue! The 2 pictures are just a small glimpse of the size. To fully stand there you'd be surprised and the size. The place is huge and very beautiful. There is upstairs, downstairs and you can make great use out of the place.

Just came back from a wedding here. Great reception hall. Comes with an elevator to take you from the balcony to the main to the basement. Mirrors on the balcony are definitely helpful.

Spent New Years 2017 (going onto 2018) in this venue and the event was fantastic, one to remember for years. The dancefloor was spacious, there were two bars, we were in VIP and there was tons of bottle service. Disclaimer: photo is not great quality as it was a boomerang. The balloons dropped at midnight, the DJ played great music and there was a big projector screen with the countdown. Security was quick, and we actually tossed our coats into a cupboard by the bar to avoid the coat check line and made it in time for the balloon drop and countdown. The event venue is a hidden gem. On the outside it's unimpressive. The inside decor and atmosphere are impressive, however!
It's small compared to other venues, so it can fill up very quickly. The service was exquisite, and the staff very professional.
My only suggestion is let the guests know that there is more room for waiting upstairs.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Maison Principale on Saturday, May 17, and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It’s absolutely beautiful—every corner offers a perfect backdrop for photos, from the elegant interiors to the thoughtful architectural details.

The space was spotless and so well maintained, which makes a huge difference on a fast-paced wedding day. I also want to highlight how lovely it was to work with Natasha—she was so accommodating and kind, and even welcomed me to visit the venue ahead of the wedding to get familiar with the space. That extra step helped everything run even more smoothly on the big day.

The entire team at Maison Principale was professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to creating a seamless experience for everyone involved. I’m already looking forward to the next event there!

We had such a fantastic experience at MP for our wedding. From the moment we visited, Gabriella G. and Natasha M. made us feel comfortable and at ease. They handled all our special requests and were in direct contact with all our vendors to make sure our day would be as magical as imagined. Gabi B. from Brera Catering was also so pleasant to work with, and accommodating from our initial tasting months prior to the wedding to our midnight table.

Malaparte is an intimate yet exquisite fine dining establishment. We had the pleasure of having our annual work Christmas party here and they did not disappoint in the slightest. Friendly and quick service, always making sure we had food in our mouth and a drink in our hands. The team was excellent and the food was delicious. The views of the city are phenomenal and the rooftop view of the CN tower was spectacular. I would recommend any business or group to host an event here. I can’t wait to be back next year. Thank you to all of the hard working staff for putting on a night to remember. We truly do appreciate it.

Lovely venue! We experienced a wedding here and the views of the city are great. The spot in front of the CNE Tower is nice in the day or night. Staff were attentive, drinks were great and food was good. I can't want to come back here to have a casual day out.

Beautiful small venue to have a wedding. Doesn't need much decorating. The views are very nice with clear shots of the CN tower. It can get windy here in the fall time. The in-house dj was one of the best with great taste in music for the appropriate crowd and smooth transitions. The food was also very good - no issues there as well. Recommend for events of 130ish people.

Very good catering venue! Workplace party functions, different business organizations and marriages are popular booking options here. Loved working in the laid back kitchen with good chefs.

The views are 5 stars plus here, amazing skyline views from the balcony. I’ve been a couple times now for business related events, service and food had been good both times. For a catered venue in the city I’d recommend for sure

Had an amazing time here!
The ambiance is unmatched, perfect for catching up with friends, family, and even meeting new ones. The service was genuinely excellent; everyone was kind and attentive.
For starters their sharable bruschetta was so good.
I had the salmon poke bowl and really enjoyed i. The flavors were great, though the rice could’ve been cooked a bit more. My friend had pasta and loved it, just wished it had been cooked maybe two minutes longer.

Drinks were okay. I tried two mocktails and unfortunately had to send one back. That was the only downside of the night. They could definitely improve the mocktail options.

We played cards after dinner, and it made the whole evening even more fun and memorable.

Would definitely return when I’m back in Ottawa!

Thank you so so so so much for an amazing evening!! We were a group of 15, which usually makes it virtually impossible that everybody has the same feeling, but I am happy to say my entire family loved it all! To have an escape room, an amazing dinner, then playing games like darts, foosball shuffleboard tic-tac-toe connect four and on top of all that a wall full of board games! Also must give a special shout out to Brendan, he continued to go above and beyond to make sure we were all happy and he was so personable and funny and hugely attentive, We actually don't think we would've had that good of a time if he wasn't there that night! We're already planning other events to go back there because we all loved it so much. Highly recommended

Amazing night at Manor Lounge, definitely the hot spot on Elgin. Those criminal old fashioned were ridiculous, loved the smoke. The big guy made our night getting us on darts! Good end to our trip, we will be back.

The poutine was good, nachos were good, braised beef burger was alright. Portion sizes were huge for the nachos, very nice!

Went in with a bunch of coworkers and left with a bunch of BFFs!!! Service was on point and quick. The food was amazing and just delicious 😋. The game changer was the hospitality and the warmth from the whole team. Everyone was really polite and very welcoming. Really increased the team morale, and everyone had a blast. We went to pick up our race bibs. Nicely organized for runners and sales booths for needed items.

First time being at the otakuton this year it was very nice seen a lot of things and people cosplay and events either gaming or in the exhibition hall there was also a lot of activities like table going, workshop crafting even Amine watching rooms and more

Stunning convention centre!!! Visited for Expo-Marathon and adored the colourful windows. Couldn't stop admiring them!

The Grand Palais Convention Center is very well located, with a subway station right on the premises, making it incredibly convenient to get to. Both security and cleanliness were impeccable, and the venue itself was very well-organized, with clear signage throughout the building. I had a great experience attending an event there, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit for a conference or event in Montreal.

Love this place, Especially during conventions like Otakuthon, because of how big it is, very pretty and clean too, easy to get there by Metro, close to many others place, but wish there was more air conditionner during a conventions in summer, i end up so sweaty and dizzy due of the amount of people and it get so hot

I recently took my granddaughter to the Old Mill for a princess party teatime event. She absolutely loved it. The grounds were just exquisite. All the little girls were dressed up in princess dresses with tiara’s, and they had four princesses come out to entertain the kids. The room was set up beautifully, and the food was excellent.

Went here for a friend’s intimate wedding and loved the venue. The food was delicious, the venue itself felt very cozy and elegant, and the staff were all so helpful. I didn’t take pictures of the food, but we had butternut squash soup, garden salad, and salmon filet with roasted veggies — all of it was surprisingly delicious.

Absolutely Perfect Wedding Experience at Old Mill Toronto!

We recently had our wedding at Old Mill Toronto, and it was truly the most magical day we could have imagined. From the stunning historic setting to the flawless execution of every detail, everything exceeded our expectations.

A huge thank you to Anna and Galina, who were extremly helpful in making our day so special. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail were incredible throughout the entire planning process. Anytime we had a question or needed to finalize something, they were quick to respond and always had a solution ready. Their support took so much stress off our shoulders and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

The venue itself is breathtaking — charming, elegant, and full of character. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the ambiance, the food, and the impeccable service. From start to finish, it was everything we dreamed of and more.

The Old Mill is such a beautiful venue with so many spaces for events that each have their own character and requires very little decoration. As a wedding decorator, the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. They ensured everything was perfect for my client and made it very easy for me to complete my decor set-up. I'm looking forward to working at The Old Mill in the future.

I recently photographed a beautiful intimate wedding at The Old Mill in Toronto, and I was truly impressed! This historic venue offers a perfect mix of elegance and intimacy, with stunning stonework and cozy interiors. Every corner is filled with character, and the warm ambiance creates a romantic backdrop for a wedding day.

I found some old pictures of the water slides on Google Images. I miss the rides and water slides that were once here. It is now a space primarily used for events, concerts, and public recreation, with a focus on green space, trails, and community gathering areas.

This place has changed somewhat since my last visits in 1976 to see Victor Borge and again to see Natalie Cole. This time we drove 6 days and almost 5,000km to see The Who’s final North American tour, ‘The Song is Over’. I’m a huge Who fan, having seen them a few times, the first of which was at Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent, October 28, 1973 and as recently as May 10, 2016 at the Saddledome in Calgary.
The Budweiser Stage at Ontario Place is a nice location with a 75% covered, yet open-air facility with ‘folk-music-chair’ seating available in the back. Good sound with two large side-screens and one even larger back-screen (although partially blocked from the upper rows by a large speaker or similar obstacle).

Went to go see the offspring this week and it was the most awesome concert I have been to. The place was packed but it was clean and well maintained, close to exhibition GO which made it so much easier to get to our train home, great experience

Great venue, well run - could be renovated with new seats and fans in ceiling for hot summer nights. ALCOHOL prices are INSANE. A round for 4 is $100+

I went to see the Who at the Budwiser Stage. Parked across the street at the CNE for $20.00. Easy to walk to the stage.

Definitely grabs your attention and leaves an impression right when you walk in.
I love the decor in there.
I didn't have a chance to grab anything to eat but it definitely smells good and people were enjoying their meals.
The entrance to this place is right off of 7th Avenue between 1st Street West towards city Hall.
Great place to come and have some lunch or dinner and a few frosty ones.
Down in the basement there's another huge space that has live music on the weekends.

Overall great vibes I'm glad that I walked in today.

Our server, Amy, was amazing. She was so quick and knowledgeable. She helped us decide on our choices and made recommendations.
For a bbq place they have some very unique options.
Will definitely eat here again. Food and service excellent.

Are you looking for delicious smoked beef brisket? How about pork, or turkey? And do you enjoy the meat sweats? Yes? Then the Palomino Smokehouse is a definite must try for you. Palomino is located along the C-Train tracks in downtown Calgary. Having been around for more than 20 years, it’s an institution when it comes to mouthwatering barbecue, lively atmosphere, and vibrant live music scene. The experience is casual / rustic and not much for frills.

As the name eludes, they specialize in slow-smoked meats. The ingredients all seemed to be high quality (according to the semi-pro meat smoking team members I had lunch with) and the portions were enormous. Of the 6 people at our table that ordered the full pound of brisket, only one managed to eat more than half! Not just brisket either, you can get pulled pork, ribs, turkey and a variety of other smoked delicacies including jackfruit … whatever that is. The side dishes are equally as delicious including the bacon wrapped corn on the cob which I would suggest getting a double order of.

The lower level seems to be set up for live music performances and more of a bar atmosphere. Haven’t been here outside lunch so can’t comment on what that would be like but I hear they have some pretty epic Stampede events.

I highly recommend Palomino for lunch and to kick-off the afternoon nap under your desk at work!

I was last here in 2018 and we had such a great experience when I was back this week with a different group I suggested we had to go here. Unfortunately the quality has declined. Two people in my group found their meal was only lukewarm and my brisket was a bit dry. It was still fairly good, but nowhere near the quality from a few years ago. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere is causal, comfortable and rustic. Photos compare the meal from now (red checks) to 2018.

Went for lunch on a weekday with our toddler.

Brisket: mediocre, but tasted better with sauce (ketchup, smoked mustard, plus three different BBQ sauces).
Garlic fries: fantastic, definitely order these.
Green beans: Good, would order again.
Sweet tea: 10-12 oz, but half the size they are in the States.

No highchairs or booster seats. No diaper change table.

Very friendly staff, great service, open kitchen so you could see them prepping food. Shaded patio out back.

I’ve been to a couple of weddings at Plaza Volare, and every time it’s been absolutely amazing! The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is electric, and the service is top-notch. Everyone I know who has worked with Karina had nothing but great things to say — she goes above and beyond to make sure the event is unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue where the party’s guaranteed to be a hit, this is it! 🎉✨

I came here for a group event of about 70 people on a Sunday in March.

The room itself was nice and clean but the temperature was very cold. There was a temperature control on the wall and some guests were trying to increase it to 20 or 21 degrees but employees would lower it to 18...guests were so cold they were grabbing their coats and scarves. Eventually someone spoke to an employee to ask if it can stay at 20 and they allowed it.

I had asked one of the waiters in English what the hors d'oeuvres were that he was handing out and he did not understand I had to repeat myself in French. Someone who works in the service industry should be able to speak English and French. I

also included a photo of one of the hors d'oeuvres, a meatball, which was completely raw in the middle. I showed a waiter and he took it away and I never heard back about it. The rest of the food was fine but that put a bit of a damper on the food for the rest of the guests at my table.

I've heard a lot of positive reviews of this place but my experience was disappointing. Not sure I would consider hosting a event here myself.

We had our wedding at this venue last weekend, and honestly, the experience was incredible from start to finish—way beyond just the wedding day itself.

In the months leading up to it, the staff was so present and attentive. They were always a step ahead, checking in, helping us navigate the process, and making sure everything was unfolding the way we had envisioned. What we appreciated most was how they shared their advice without ever making us feel like our ideas were wrong or unrealistic. They’d give little tips or insights based on their experience doing this every other weekend, but they always made it clear that the final call was ours—and they’d make it work, no matter what we decided.

They were also super proactive. We never had to chase them down or ask when our next meeting was. They guided us step-by-step, from meal preferences to setup decisions, which really helped reduce any pre-wedding stress. It honestly felt like they were just as invested in the experience as we were.

They humanized the whole process too; it didn’t feel transactional at all. They’d remind us to be present, to enjoy the moment as a couple, and that little touch of care made all the difference. You can really tell they love what they do.

On the actual day of, everything ran perfectly. The staff was always nearby, gently guiding us through the timeline—but in the most calming and subtle way. The maître d, the head waitress, and all the other staff were so hardworking, kind, and personable. Throughout the night, they kept checking in on us and bringing us food to make sure we were eating enough and actually enjoying the night.

The coordinators also made our wedding feel like more than just an event they had to run. Right before walking down the aisle, they stopped to tell us how great we looked and gave us words of encouragement before coordinating and timing everything.

We had both our ceremony and cocktail hour at the hall. Originally, we had planned for it to be outside, but the weather didn’t cooperate. They calmly shifted everything indoors, reassured us that it would still be beautiful—and they were right. The setup was stunning and felt just as special as what we had originally pictured. The way they executed the backup plan was so smooth and professional.

The food was also next level. People are still texting us a week later telling us how they cleaned their platters. The braised beef was a major hit, and guests kept complimenting both the quality and the quantity of food—which can be rare to nail both. They were also on top of being attentive to the allergy and dietary restrictions of all our guests, which was very important to us—and our guests really appreciated it.

Another huge help was how they coordinated with our vendors the week of the wedding. We didn’t have to worry about who was arriving when or what was being set up—they handled it all, which gave us the space to actually enjoy the experience.

Having the hotel attached to the hall was such a lifesaver. We got ready there in the morning, which made the whole day flow so much easier—no travel stress, no rushing. And it allowed our guests to let loose, enjoy themselves, and stay overnight. We even hosted a brunch the next morning at the Resto, which was such a fun way to wrap up the weekend. The bistro staff was also amazing—super friendly and genuinely helpful.

All in all, this team gave us the wedding we had dreamed of without the pressure and chaos we thought would come with it. They were a dream team, and we would 100% recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding. It’s literally the one-stop shop for your wedding in Montreal—you can’t go wrong!

A banquet center in the heart of the city that's rather unassuming from the outside, but with a grand interior. The halls are huge, and the arrangements are very satisfactory. The lobby is big, clean and with a shiny floor. The food that's catered is delicious. The restrooms are nice and clean. Parking is adequate. However,  the servers, in general, could be a bit more friendly and courteous.

One of the best venues and halls for special events. Located across from Mooney's Bay, this newly upgraded and updated banquet hall boasts a large seating capacity, modern interior design and an upgraded kitchen. Beautifully decorated and spacious, and can host smaller to.larger groups for business events, as well as weddings and special occasions. Ample parking adjacent to the facility. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I went to the Lebanese festival this year and it was a blast. Music, dancing, rides for the little one, food, food and more food. It was a great time, and will be the source of great memories for years to come. We went again this year, 2023 and again was amazing. Our now 4 years old loves coming here and talked about it since last year. We will be going back again next year when it comes back to town. Also, big shout-out to all the volunteers that make it possible.

My husband and I held our reception at Saint Elias and we were very pleased with everything! They were very flexible and ensured our special day went by smoothly. Everyone working the night of our wedding was wonderful! Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was throughout the whole evening! Thank you again!

The appetizers were great, but the main meal.. I wasn't impressed with the presentation, and it was lacking flavour. Overall, this is a fairly decent reception hall, but the parking lot is VERY small.

Saunders Farm is the best farm I've ever seen. Large, beautiful, cozy and full of a variety of activities. I spent a morning until evening with my family and I would like to have an experience for the night plan on this farm next time.

Really enjoyed a day out here with the family. Unlike many other frms we've been to, this one is meticulously maintained. Staff was very nice. Zipline was included as part of the ticket. We also had a tour on tractor driven cart. There are hedge mazes here too along which was a unique experience. This is a highly recommended place for a family day out.

Frightfest 2025 EXCELLENT. Fantastic family outing.
Would not recommend Haunted Hayride for people with back sensitivity or mobility issues. Very jarring to the body.
Was very good though!! Be sure to sit at the back.
Grounds are visually spectacular . Lots for patrons to see if they choose not to do amusements.
We will definitely be making this a yearly tradition.
For those in Southern Ontario definitely worth the travel to enjoy this venue.

Visiting Saunders Farm during Christmas is an absolute delight! The farm transforms into a winter wonderland with stunning light displays, festive decorations, and cozy holiday vibes. The specific event I attended had a really loud music, so it's good for small concerts, but too much for small children to stay for an extended period of time...

I grew up in this building. My ex father in law was the architect, I discovered Santa, wasn't really... well, you know. I have pictures of me singing on that very stage, as a 7 year old. So warm still.

Went for the Christmas market which was delightful. My mother was thrilled to find baked goods from Finland. The volunteers worked so hard to put on a wonderful lunch and there were many interesting things to purchase.

David, Tiffany & Jenifer — I truly don’t know how to thank you enough. You made our wedding day absolutely unforgettable. Every detail was beautifully thought out, and the entire day ran so smoothly thanks to your incredible planning, support, and calm energy.

The venue itself was beyond perfect — such a gorgeous space with the best vibe. It felt warm, open, elegant, and full of joy — exactly what we had dreamed of. You brought everything together so beautifully, and we’re so grateful to have had you by our side through it all.

We had our wedding at STORYS Building after our original wedding venue cancelled. David called me within 30 minutes of receiving my inquiry and after a venue visit (I was wowed), we were locked in. In what could have been a stressful situation, I didn't even have time to panic because the STORYS team had me sorted.

Leading up to the wedding, the STORYS team was incredibly helpful and communicative. They were super adaptable with our vendors and gave us plenty of amazing tips. The wedding day was *literally* perfect. The entire STORYS team were so helpful, accommodating and fun! The drinks were flowing and we had several guests tell us this was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding (we agreed).

Overall, between the amazing location, venue vibe, food, drinks and amazing team, we feel lucky our original venue had cancelled. It truly felt like it was meant to be and we had the most beautiful, stress-free day. I could not recommend this venue enough!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than the one we had at Storys. From the very beginning, Dave, Tiffany, Jennifer, and the entire team provided impeccable service. They were personable, responsive, and always available to answer questions, whether by email or phone. Their communication gave us confidence and peace of mind throughout the planning process.

THE BEST WEDDING VENUE IN TORONTO! My husband and I had our wedding here last weekend and our guests could not get over the stunning venue, the food, and the service. Everything was top notch. I have been following this venue for years on Instagram and always loved the vibe of the place! When I got engaged they were my only venue I inquired about!

First off, the value for your money at this location is incredible! Toronto venues have become fairly outrageous for minimum spends but STORY’S was very reasonable!

There are three main people we talked with and each of them were lovely! David helped us book the venue, Tiffany organized all the food and details of the day, and Jennifer ran the show on the day!

The venue itself is perfect for our wedding - 85 people! It can hold more but with this number we were able to have dinner and dancing on the same floor comfortably!

The food was fantastic and they let us personalize some of the menu option which I appreciated!

I can’t say enough positive things about the venue itself and the people running it!

There’s very poor Management, No cut Grass on regular basis also field is muddy no natural Grass, Some space grass is more than 2 feet. Stop signs face twisting other side and not safe.
I feel so bad, When they don’t care about facilities, Which is built by Tax payers money.

What an amazing Ganpati celebration by CMA at Genesis Centre! The decorations, cultural performances, and collective devotion created such a positive atmosphere. Truly blessed to be part of this community gathering. 🙏🌺

A good place for all family to have fun. Has a accessible size of swimming pool. Library has a nice view of outside. I found it a bit busy and noisy in the entrance area.

Horrible Horrible experience at this pool! Customer service extremely annoying, they are behaving as they are working in police station with grumpy faces, lack of knowledge poor customer service, Rude behavior pretend so to be professional but sorry no they are unprofessional, not coming back here i was about to register my son membership not doing it anymore, the ladies at the front desk need to learn how to communicate they are asking questions as they are my teacher I can not describe how bad it sounds.

Great visit to the oldest pub in Ottowa, friendly service and some great local beers on tap. Plus the Hot Honey wings were really good with the beers.

The Laff in Ottawa was a cool oldest pub here with a cozy atmosphere and delicious poutine and refreshing cider beer. The poutine is perfectly cheesy and has a savory gravy on the fries. The cider beer on tap compliments it with a crisp, fruity taste. Finally the music of the longtime musician was great as he’d sing many classic American songs. Was a great place to go and hang out!!🍟🍺

Love the old character and the great ambiance of this place. The little pictures and paintings here and there are wonderful. The bartender was professional and friendly. The burger and smoked meat sandwich were both amazing! And we tried some new beer that we loved as well. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff, amazing vibe, and wonderful customers! I was visiting Ottawa and stumbled upon The Laff by pure chance. Charly, in particular, was incredibly kind and attentive. If you are looking for human interaction, The Laff is your place. Such a great experience!

Enjoyed a quick stop while visiting the area for a quick beer and appetizer. Had vintage Labatt beer, Labatt 50, which was available in regular bottles, very large bottles (I believe 710ml) or draft. Enjoyed an order of bobo balls which hit the spot. Reasonable priced menu. Would definitely return next time I’m in the area

I stayed in a private room with a private bath, and it was really great. The staff was so so helpful. They will hold your bags before you check in and after you check out. The private room was very cozy, had everything I needed. The location is fantastic, maybe the best in the city; walking distance (under 15 minutes) to Chinatown, the AGO, Union Station, Downtown, and much more. Also right on the transit line.

My only note is that the air vent in the bathroom runs continuously and it looked to be very full. I had no effect on my stay, but could be a safety issue if not looked at.

Location was amazing and front desk people were great. Easy check in, and seperate entrance to the hotel (with key card needed to get in). The room was a bit small but very clean. We got the room with the private bathroom but the shared bathrooms looked like they were well maintained. Definitely will stay there again !

Not a fancy place, it’s just ok to stay few days with basic necessities provided though no fridge if you need it.
The main thing is jazz bar on ground floor. While serving typical bar staples it is an attraction for all music lovers who is into jazz or first time going to live performance. Absolutely worth paying admission. I loved the music though I was lucky to come across a session played by very seasoned musicians. Those are big names in jazz.
If you stay in the hotel then definitely check out the bar. They serve free coffee and toasts to hotel patrons too.

I chose this place for a one (ended up being two) night stay in Toronto based on the price and location. Price compared to other hotels/hostels in the area. While the location is very convenient on Queen St., the place is VERY old and absolutely zero frills, although Staff at the front were friendly and helpful. Walking into my room immediately felt like the first time I entered my college dorm. The bed was clean, but the room was pretty beat up and very small. It worked as a place to sleep, but that was really about it. This is also an old building and only three stories (one floor is the jazz bar, and two floors or rooms). I was on the second floor and yes, could also hear the jazz directly below me. Wasn't too much of a problem since I was out exploring the town, but don't expect a quiet environment if you plan to sleep before 1130pm (2330).

Additionally, parking is limited and you will need to pay to park at a nearby garage. I felt my belongings were safe, however the garage was $30 per day. Something to consider if you have a car with you.
All in all, it was a bed to sleep in and the room was clean. But there isn't a whole lot else to say about the place.

We went to the jazz bar. The musicians were great, they gave a wonderful show.

I booked a table for 3, but we got a table for two and they told us we couldn’t move the chairs around the table. So the 3 of us felt quite cramped sitting in a row along one table trying to eat our food and listen to the music.

Also with my order, they gave me (pretty distinctly) tostitos salsa; would recommend that they replace with a homemade salsa instead.
