Went to bosk with a couple of friends for Winterlicious, it was a great experience.
We all chose foie gras as appetizer, it was creamy and smooth, topped with fresh figs and fruit jam. The sweetness and slight tart definitely added more flavour profile and somehow made foie gras taste “less guilty”. I had blue cod as my main course while my friends had the duck. Both were excellent choices. The cod came in small pieces wrapped in a thin dough and were deep fried, they perched on top of a bed of barley and the server poured broth over it. Beautiful presentation! Though I personally felt the cod was over salted, I still enjoyed the dish very much. I chose tiramisu as my dessert, it was so pretty! The disc of chocolate is definitely a nice spin on the traditional recipe and it added more texture.
Finally, a big shoutout to our server, he was so courteous and attentive, made us feel very special. Thank you!

We stayed at the hotel and had a dinner and breakfast at the Bosk. We love the design and seating. The food was excellent too. The menu was similar to what you’d expect from similar restaurants but almost every dish has some special twist. The dishes we orders are full of flavors and they are not overly done. The breakfast was great too with a combination of Asian and healthy plates. This is definitely a place to try if you are around the area.

My husband and I went here for a special day celebration, and we tried the winterlicious menu. Their service was good and it’s a bore try quiet restaurant. I wish they could put more thought into the food though. The foie gras mousse was okay, but the cracker caught us by a bit surprise as they seemed to be thin slices of the pre-meal sourdough toasted. We were most disappointed by the entrees. The duck was very small portion but it tasted fine. The cod was fried, which was unexpected in a fine dining restaurant, and there are other fried items in the dish which made the whole dish very oily. I’m not sure if it’s the broth or the food, but the whole dish tasted too salty. I didn’t even pour all the broth, only had what the server had poured. And the color of the cod dish was monotonous without a refreshing element. The desserts were relatively better but too sweet for us.

Visited for the Winterlicious menu. Service was great, we were attended to quickly and food came out in a timely manner. The butternut squash soup and foie gras and desserts were amazing - the entrées were good too but the appetizers/desserts were the stars for me. It was a fun menu with several options and good food and atmosphere overall.

Jump is one of my favourite Oliver & Bonacini restaurants and have been here countless of times. Every time I need to impress friends and families, this is the place to be.

Tried to come here again for their Summerlicious and everything is spot on - from the delicious food, attentive server, and modern and stylish restaurant decor.

The restaurant is beautiful, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.

Every dish here looks like a work of art, with its vibrant colours and artful arrangement.

The roast beef sandwich was deliciously juicy and tender. My friends raved about this sandwich and enjoyed it so much. The roasted Atlantic salmon with couscous was flakey and moist.

The coconut panna cotta is probably one of the best panna cotta we've ever tried. Everything is perfect with this dessert - soft velvety texture, creamy but not overly rich and just a hint of sweetness.

It can be a little bit busy during lunch hour and noise levels are often higher. But it's not physically painfully loud that you can't hear your dining companions.

We had a wonderful dining experience and would definitely return.

I had a fantastic experience at Jump Restaurant for their Valentine’s Day menu. The food was incredible—every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive, perfectly balanced and refreshing.

The service was quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great night with amazing food and drinks, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent service, the waitress was attentive, helpful and overall friendly and pleasant. Nice and trendy ambiance, and food was delicious. The apps were especially tasty including the fried chicken, spring rolls, calamari.

What a gorgeous hidden spot in the heart of downtown! My wife brought me here to celebrate a key milestone in our lives and this place was just perfect.

Firstly, the staff is extremely courteous and accommodate for varied requests. Starting with table selection, since we were there with our baby boy in a stroller and we requested for patio in our reservation, they took us out to the patio and asked us to choose which table would be most comfortable. We chose the perfect spot with great views and a light breeze. I had to change my baby’s diaper, so when I requested for the baby changing room, he immediately eacorted me to the accessible washroom and brought in a table to ensure I had everything with me to change the diaper. This shows how much they care about the comfort of the customers. Our server would keep checking in on us and would be quick with all our orders and requests.

Secondly, the vibe and the ambience were so comforting that we lost the track of time. I highly recommend the patio, even though while you are arriving, you may think it will be noisy since it is close to Yonge Street but their patio design keeps the area quite silent.

Finally, the food was excellent overall with some opportunities for improvement in their desserts - selection and their sweetness.

Overall, absolutely loved it here and will be back for sure. Thank you team Jump! Keep up your amazing hospitality!

Lovely restaurant. Came here with my colleagues and enjoyed the Winterlicious menu. Ambience and service was great too. However, if you are not a sweet tooth, don’t ask for the Chocolate pudding. that stuff was toooo sweet, i took 1* away for that. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.

Everything about this restaurant is just WOW! The food is mouth watering; from flavor to presentation and even variety, it was just perfect. Every cocktail I had was gorgeous and well balanced! They even offer tasty mocktails for those who don’t drink. The staff is so kind and the service is quick! Need I mention that there was a soul/jazz band there playing live music?! The ambience is wonderful and I highly recommend for all ages. Would be perfect for a date night or even a night out with friends. A true gem!

Amazing! Vibe, decor, food, cocktails were all perfect! The octopus carpaccio was absolutely delicious!!! So much so that we went back a second time. It was the BEST dish we had during our stay in Montreal. I’m still thinking about it! We also had the griot which was very flavorful and not too fatty. Highly recommend Kwizinn! You’ll eat well and feel happy doing it!

First time visiting Kwizin since it moved to the Old Port. Wow! Everything!! The service, the atmosphere and most importantly, the food. It was absolutely delicious. The oxtail Jamaican patty is a MUST! Such a flaky dough with a tender and creamy meat filling. The (sweet) homemade ketchup pairs perfectly with it. For the main, we LOVED the plantain burger. Again, the dish is so well thought and balanced. The cheesy sauce adds an amazing flavour and extra moisture, it’s finger licking good. Finally, the beignets were a pleasant surprise. Like a warm crispy donut with a sweet glaze drizzle on the plate. Will definitely go back! Ultimate date spot.

We had an amazing time after the F1 races with the team at Kwizinn. Hospitable , knowledgeable and e training to say the least. Our bartenders knowledge on cocktails was superb leaving her a dealers choice option for my first cocktail and she did not disappoint. This a new location for them and well laid out and designed . Speak easy downstairs for late night event . Well.done. I'll be back ☘️🤙

Went there for dinner for the first time last night and it did not disappoint.
The energy from downtown on the warm summer day made it pleasant to sit on the patio in the late afternoon.
Service was very good. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the different dishes and made very good recommendations.
We all enjoyed our meals. From steak sandwich (with au jus), to ravioli, drinks and dessert everything was delicious.

Great vibe, friendly attentive accommodating staff—and honest about what’s worth ordering (and what might not be to your tastes!) Can host large groups and receptions. Great location! and large outdoor patio. The croque monsieur was really good, but my friend had the mussels and I was jealous. Sweet potato fries were exceptional (and I try them everywhere).

First time eating here, I came with my sister under her recommendation, and I am not disappointed!

I ordered their steak sandwich and she ordered the vegetable sandwich, both are worth the money and both are delicious! You get a choice of either fries or salad with your choice of sandwich. Their vegetable sandwich is very light and herbaceous while their steak sandwich is very savoury and filling!

Service was fast, the both of us were treated very well! We didn’t wait long to get food and drink, didn’t wait to get seated and orders taken.

Definitely recommend for lunch, their lunch menu has a range of options!

We were hungry when explored downtown and decided to try this restaurant. Turned out very nice. We sat in patio, Good meals, decent size, good service. Coffee is good too. Just a minor inconvenient, the young server who served our meals didnt know our meals’ name and randomly put on our table. A lil bit confusion and mixed up but everything sorted out after we asked our real server. Definitely will come again next time.

Excellent Lobster and shrimp rolls. Stopped in for lunch, their Aircon was wonderful as was the service and food. The kettle chips were huge and crunchy, I liked the picked green beans too. Espresso coffee was good and punchy. Would definitely recommend for a light lunch.

We were there during stampede, made a reservation online and selected outside for reservation. We get there they say they can only seat us inside because patio is first come first serve, so not sure why it gives you outside option for reservations.

We sat inside which was fine. Service was very very slow, we waited for water for a long time then had to ask to get water. Food took a long time too but we understood because it was busy and stampede. The waiter had a bit of an attitude when we asked for an iced coffee. Milestones do not do ice coffees.

The food was good, the view from inside was also good. The bathrooms were nice.

Milestones should print new menus, they have seen better days.

OK, I loved their food, but the service was so bad that this was disappointing. We sat out on the balcony, which was really nice because it was a really nice day, but they had a lot of tables on the inside as well. When we first got there the service was good but then she disappeared for like half an hour. I don’t know where she went, but we wanted a few extra things and by the time she got back, we just got our check so we could get out of there. I ordered the salad with some steak, which was so delicious and my mom had Caesar salad, but because of the service we would not go back there.

Milestones usually never disappoints in Ontario, the food here was pretty disappointing. We ordered 2 steak and eggs to be done as medium well, they were basically cooked dry and well done. The sweet chilli chicken bowl had a great first bite, but overtime it was tasteless and rice was mushy at some parts, nothing special about it although they called it there specialty. Service was great and attentive and where we sat has a great view.

This place was above average for the places I've been out to recently. Id say I had a good evening. We sat on the patio and the hostesses noticed me pointing to the table I wanted. They cleaned it and sat us quickly. That was very nice. Our server was as cute as a button. Although not too terribly up on her product knowledge, I could let it slide because of her genuine willing ingress to find out when she wasnt 100% sure of the answer. She is friendly and personable with a great attitude and willingness to learn. I have high hopes for her.
I, to drink had the Bowl Bellini. Pretty tasty. I would come here again. The other bars on the same street were far too busy for my liking. This one was good for me.

Had an amazing experience at Milestones Downtown Calgary! The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The Old Fashioned was perfectly crafted, and the Smashed Black and Blue Burger was hands down the best I've ever had—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The dried ribs appetizer was also amazing—perfectly seasoned and crispy. A great spot for a quality meal and a great drink. Highly recommend!

We recently celebrated our wedding at Miller Tavern, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! Everything exceeded our expectations:

This is more of a 3.5 star review! The restaurant has been around for a long time and we have visited over the years. The restaurant has been renovated more recently, which is nice. The lower level is now brighter and more modern. The large patio space and indoor-outdoor style seating remains popular in warmer weather.

The food was good and portions were big, and there is a broad selection of menu items and drinks. However, the prices are on the higher side for what it is (and reflects the clientele in that area). Service was decent.

Loved the new cocktails, thank you Harsh! The Maple Midnight Martini was a huge hit, and of course, the classic French Martini, my all-time favourite - never disappoints. The food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress Maria was such a pleasure to have looking after us. See you soon!

I visited Miller Tavern for an event in the private dining room at the second floor arranged for dine-in lecture. The room was suitable and complete with excellent audiovisuals. What stood out, however, was the food. Conference dining often suffers in quality, but this was a welcome exception.

Service was swift and efficient, with a preset menu taken promptly. The tea was premium quality. My meal began with a Caesar salad that, unfortunately, fell short—the lettuce lacked freshness, likely due to early preparation. But it was well seasoned and not salty as common with this dish. The steak frites redeemed the experience. Cooked perfectly to medium, the steak was flavorful and well-seasoned, paired with crisp yet tender fries. A more refined sauce or a complementary vegetable would have elevated the dish further. The salmon dish looked delish, however I can not comment on the taste.
Dessert was the highlight—a warm cake draped in caramelized sauce, indulgent and unforgettable. Though a brief encounter, this meal was promising enough to warrant a return visit for a full dining experience.

This place is such a disrespectful.
The Manegar is racist and treat me really bad because I'm african. I won't tolerate such behavior in a place like this. The name of manager is Julia but I do belive she lied.
Places like this should be closed right away.
Canada is a free a country and people should be treated equally.

Nice food and friendly staff and atmosphere.

Authentic Portuguese Cuisine. ( Off the beaten Path.) Well worth finding. 2 Cod dishes with bottle of wine, Espresso, desert.

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner and had a nice time! I like the ambience at night, but we were seated in between two huge birthday groups where one was quite rowdy so anticipate some noise. Also our table was kind of small and felt like it was in the middle of a corridor because of all the customers and servers constantly passing us. Our server Daniel was so wonderful though so that made it better!

I did enjoy the food. I think that their food is not meant to be overly complicated and that there's a charm to the simplicity. Also the portions are very generous compared to other Toronto restaurants at this price point.

Funghi appetizer was creamy yet not too heavy, Genovese pasta was hearty and cooked perfectly al dente, and Tartara pizza was refreshing and unique though slightly dry because its a pizza bianca so there's no sauce as the base. Also, not pictured but the Tiramisu Martini was really good.

Would love to come back to try their brunch menu.

We stayed in Toronto for 3 days and found ourselves coming back to this place for lunch almost every day. it quickly became one of our favorite spots! 😍
It was just a short walk from our hotel, super convenient. The staff and the manager were all really friendly and helpful 🥰 and the food was consistently delicious. We also loved the vibe of the place—beautiful design and cozy atmosphere. Definitely coming back next time we’re in town! 🫶

We came here for a birthday celebration, and while vibes were great, there was a bit of a letdown. The server even confirmed if it was for a birthday when we sat down, but nothing was done to acknowledge it — not even a small gesture like a slice of cake or dessert, which would’ve gone a long way.

As for the food, it was okay in terms of taste — not bad, just not especially memorable. Presentation was definitely a highlight; every dish looked well put together and portion sizes were just right for one person.

The atmosphere is really nice, with a versatile vibe that works both for something casual and also for a slightly fancier night out. Overall, a decent experience, but the missed opportunity on the birthday touch made it feel a little flat.

Oretta is one of my favorite brunch spots in Toronto. Their pancakes are hands down the best in the city — fluffy, delicious, and surprisingly underrated compared to the viral places on social media. The food overall is amazing, the service is consistently good, and the patio is beautiful without being overcrowded. I did have a slightly bitter experience with one server once, but it was minor compared to the many great visits I’ve had here. Highly recommend for brunch, special occasions, or a relaxed meal.

Oretta is the perfect brunch venue on a lazy Saturday. The servers were dressed cute in their pjs adding to the vibe and the interiors simple screaming feminine, pink and pretty! Ordered the French toast it looked amazing but the taste was not memorable. Also ordered a juice which was okay, the server did admit it’s not fresh - so think of it as you will! Hope they add more halal options in the future and add more variety on the menu.

Bit of a weird one. We put in our reservation that we were there to celebrate a birthday and it started well, the restaurant is beautifully kitted out and our server was really attentive to start with.

After we ordered, the food came at different times which was fine in theory, but then our server kind of forgot about us, and it wasn't as if the restaurant got busy - maybe 5 or so other tables during our visit.

We were excited to try the baked brie, but the portion size was pretty disappointing and it was served with cold (assumed tinned) peaches.

As we were leaving, we tried to say 'thank you' to the chef (open kitchen setting), but were met with silence.

Overall, this is a beautiful setting with some nice dishes, but the overall vibe doesn't really match the environment 🤷🏻‍♀️

4.5 overall. I would come back here solely for the sticky toffee pudding only. Highly recommend that dessert. Good food but there were some minor misses such as the baked brie. Tuna tataki was good. Fries were ok. The fish I would also highly recommend.
Really enjoyed the clean and modern atmosphere here. Ample of amount of space for all party sizes. Service here was also friendly. A lot of food and drinks choices - would definitely come back again.

I’ve been to Starbelly many times (including a baby shower, wedding & mini market) over the years since they first opened (2015?) & have always experienced great service.
I haven’t gone as often in recent years, but last nights dinner reminded me what a gem this restaurant is to SE Calgary.
Said service can be a little slow, BUT that’s not always a bad thing when you want to go out to eat and not feel rushed or bothered when in deep conversation. You can spend several hours there without feeling like someone else is waiting for your table.

Last night, myself & 3 friends went there to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, I was initially sat in a dark (but cozy) corner. It wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, so decided to work up the courage to ask if we could either be moved somewhere else in the restaurant or even the empty patio given the warm weather. Without question, they immediately moved our table to outside & pointed out several options we could choose from. We initially sat in a shaded corner & then about 10 minutes later, our party moved to the sunniest table (so table #3 😅). But it was all taken in great stride by our waitress & what I assume was her manager, and we were only met with kind comments such as “ah, I see you did end up going for the sunny table!”

We ordered a few appetizers (whipped ricotta and truffle fries) & then finally our main meals (I got the yummy ravioli), but as those were coming out, the temperature outside started to drop. Despite my people pleasing tendencies and avoid being an inconvenience — we were growing quite cold and asked if we could once again be moved. We were only met with complete understanding, and eventually moved to their private event dining space inside to finish out our meal (table #4 if you’re counting). The bills got a little mixed up & so it took some time to sort out, but while we waited, the manager (wish I had grabbed his name) brought out a free cake to share because he said he “saw us eyeing another tables”. We really weren’t as we were honestly quite full from our meals, but we still appreciated the kind gesture.

I’m leaving a 2-star review because of an uncomfortable and unprofessional comment from the manager that ruined an otherwise decent experience.

The food was good and the servers were friendly. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but nothing unreasonable. The issue happened when a coworker ordered dessert, and when it was brought to the table, the manager assumed it was mine. Likely because I was the only overweight person there and made a small joke while handing it to me. I had to clarify that it wasn’t mine.

It may have been intended as a joke, but it came across as insensitive and out of place. That moment overshadowed the rest of the visit, and it’s the reason I won’t be returning.

The restaurant was very spacious and had a lot of tables. It was very clean and had a charming atmosphere. They made a mistake on our order but made up for it with a discount and food substitute! Food was very good but nothing special. The starbelly lager was very good. I would definitely come here again to try the other dishes.

We had our anniversary dinner here and really an all around solid experience. Started with pulled pork potato skins. I had the Italian pita chicken wrap with provolone and pesto. Wifey had the mamas meatloaf with veggies and ceasar salad. I'd say nothing was a let down at all. No one dish was like blow you away spectacular. But top to bottom everything came out pretty good. Thanks guys

Absolutely stunning experience. The food was amazing. The tempura was the best I have ever had, and my Montreal smoked meat sandwich was likewise amazing. I cannot say enough. The service was excellent and I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. We were there for lunch and I honestly will not need dinner. Highly recommended!

An amazing place to come with the family! Great food & service and such a cool atmosphere. Truly a gem.

We stopped in for lunch while in town for a hockey tournament. First off, the facility is HUGE, it goes on forever in many levels, and is just so neat.
The way it was laid out it appeared they were well prepared for the crowds who could descend.
The service was prompt and professional. We had a small party, and were seated in a section with a whole team, and both tables saw good service.
The menu has a huge variety, truly something for everyone, and all of it looked good. We had mostly standard lunch fare: soup & sandwiches. All were great.
The one frustration was that there is no floor level seating. Upon entering you must go up or down stairs, one among our party is not very mobile. The bathroom is located by the entrance, so we had to rush lunch and have our food packed up so that this person could use the washroom on the way out, limiting the trips up and down the stairs.

I had lunch here with a colleague and was impressed by the great service and the good food. We both had salads and the ingredients were fresh and high quality. Our server was friendly and on top of everything. The room was nicely, decorated and very clean. I’ll be sure to come back next time. I’m in Strathmore.

Cool place to grab a quick bite after visiting the Gallery. The seating is very cool. The views are spectacular, with a great skyline and nice view of the back of parliament center building. Menu is a little small, but the digs were tasty. I recommend the Korean beef dog.

This is exactly what needs to exist in this very spot. Just having a place to chill and grab drinks right by the river and Kiweki point is so prime.

I really like that you go up and order your food and drinks rather than ording at the table. It adds to the open, almost beach-y vibe.
The staff are all quite friendly and helpful, and the live band was great.

As other reviews have mentioned, the food isn't going to change your life, but it's decent. Same with the drinks. I would say they are all fine, and priced very reasonably, especially
given the location.
It feels like they are really striking a good balance here. $7.25 for a pint (as of 2025) is perfectly reasonable and I'm happy to see it.
I hope this never changes because this is the kind of stuff downtown needs!

Really bringing life to downtown. I'm excited to see how this place moves and improves, especially given that it seems the owners are following the reviews here and taking criticism well!

A few notes: The washrooms nearby are very limited so on a busy day there can be LINES. Also I do think there is some room for improvement on some aspects of the food. And I think itnis possible that there was a blown speaker or something somewhere on the patio while we were there. But not 100% sure.

Stopped here for dinner. The setup is a little strange - you have to get in line to order food and then find a table (it’s open seating). They give you a number and bring your food to your table. If you want to order an alcoholic drink, you need to go to the bar to order (you can’t order it with your food). Hot dogs were okay, not bad but nothing special. However, the seating was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed and the views were great.

I really like the outdoor area here—the view is fantastic. The only issue I have with both branches of this bar is the time it takes to get food or drinks. I think this time I waited about 25 minutes just to buy a beer. It might be necessary to hire more staff. Also, if you need something and want to ask for help, you have to wait quite a while until someone from the staff passes by. Considering the large space and the number of people that come here, there definitely aren't enough staff members. However, the staff are very kind and friendly, and they even offer blankets if you feel cold. On the positive side, this location is open until 2 AM, the music was great, the weather was perfect, and I was enjoying my favorite drink and having a good time.

Spent a wonderful evening at Tavern on the hill. Great views of the river and beautiful tree to sit under.

You have to go order drinks and food, they give you a number and bring your food when it's ready.

We loved a quiet snack and drink at the bar here. We had a delicious pair of cocktails made by the bar tender, one was spicy and one was fresh and sweet. Fun to trade sips! The olives here go down as one of my favourite olive plates. Big chunky and delicious olives. The fries were great and we had a delightful view!

Fantastic rooftop views and food worth coming back for. Expertly shucked oysters, and exceptional cocktails. We came early, so the service was awesome. Our server was relatively new but very attentive and knowledgeable. I'd recommend getting there earlier to nab a table by the water view!

Great and wonderful rooftop for Saturday night. We ordered two cocktails and I had « salade niçoise » but not with a enough sauce. I Thank the waitress Malak for the great customer service. She was very nice.

Went in the evening and got a patio spot. Pretty cool night city view and attentive and friendly service. We got the Brut x Moet Champagne package with the seafood tower which I would honestly not recommend. For $320, you are better off ordering cocktails and appies (we were a group of 4)

Overall, I was very disappointed. The spot is nice but not worth the hype!!!!I ordered a Cezar salad with chicken and my salad was drenched in dressing despite the fact that I had advised the waiter prior that I wanted light dressing. The chicken was horrible and dry. I had to send it back not once but twice!!!! That’s how bad it was.The server’s response was that he didn’t work in the kitchen and was very nonchalant. I called upon the manager Yanis, who made a poor attempt to rectify the situation. The other parties ordered burger and we also had truffle fries, which were not crispy. Best to enjoy the view, have a cocktail and keep it moving. Would not recommend

The mix of people was truly interesting up here! Lots of variety in ages and I am assuming those who are staying in the hotel. Good drinks, though our waiter was having a tough night. Been there! We tipped well to help him out but you could see it on the lad! Drinks were alright, I might just get beer and wine, but the food looked really good! Regretting not eating!

$140 Meal That Left More Than a Bad Taste

Perched with a seemingly stunning view, this restaurant lures diners in with its picturesque terrace—but what followed was easily one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I've ever had.

From the very beginning, service was chaotic and careless. We were left waiting over 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. When a server finally arrived, they dismissed the delay with an unprofessional, “*Sorry, I forgot about you haha*,” a flippant comment that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

We ordered espresso martinis, calamari, tempura shrimp, and tuna tartare—all of which arrived cold, soggy, and inexplicably smothered in mayonnaise. Every seafood item, regardless of its original flavor profile, was served with the same bland, gloppy accompaniment, making the entire meal taste flat and overly heavy. To make matters worse, our drinks were forgotten and only brought out after we had to ask a second server what had happened to them.

While the setting sun provided a brief visual highlight, it was quickly overshadowed by the swarm of flies that began to descend on diners thanks to poorly placed terrace lighting. The atmosphere shifted from romantic to revolting in a matter of minutes.

After our dishes were cleared, we were once again ignored—for another 30 minutes—with no one returning to offer dessert or bring the check. We had to request the bill ourselves, at which point we were charged **$140** for what can only be described as one of the worst meals of our lives.

To top it off, one member of our group became sick shortly after the meal—presumably due to the poor food handling and questionable freshness of the seafood.

Between the cold, mayo-drenched dishes, careless service, and health concerns, this restaurant delivers a deeply disappointing experience at a steep price. A nice view is never worth food poisoning—and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Had a little girl’s day on the terrace and it was wonderful! They originally seated us on the far side, but were quick to accommodate us when we asked to move to a different view and did so with no hassle. I loved that you could order just a half-order of the beef or tuna tartare as we just wanted a little nibble before our dinner reservation elsewhere. The bubbles were cold and flowing, service was fantastic and attentive and the vibes were vibing :) I recommend booking a reservation as it’s often booked out, especially on beautiful days!

Found this through a TikTok recommendation. Went at 7pm on a Monday night and it was lovely with barely any open seats. View was meh, but vibe was great! Had a yummy Caesar salad with chicken that was lovely!

Terroni is one of those Italian restaurants that delivers on all levels. The wine list is well-curated with plenty of options to pair with your meal, and the patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. The pasta is fresh and flavorful, the cheese selections are rich and authentic, and the calamari is crisp and well-seasoned. On top of the great food, the atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting making it an excellent place for both casual outings and special occasions

I came here yesterday while visiting Toronto with family. I have been looking for squash blossoms for over a year. When I finally found them at a different restaurant in California, they were poorly prepared but Terroni prepared them perfectly. Nice light crispy batter. My favorite was this grilled calamari salad. Nice and light and you could really taste the seafood. The outdoor patio was the perfect day to be at. Beautiful weather, nice and quiet but the most important thing about this restaurant was the service. The hostess was gracious and inviting and my waitress, Carmen was quite possibly the best waitress I’ve ever had. Making suggestions and since I was dining alone, she made me very comfortable and seemed to know my likings right away. I like it when the waitress checks back with you so you’re not waiting and she did just that-Efficient and I felt like a queen. Thank you, Carmen for making the whole restaurant experience and dining alone, such a perfect & wonderful day with a perfect wonderful meal.!

If you haven't experienced Terroni yet, make a reservation soon! The grilled calamari is absolutely delicious and a must-try. Their seafood pasta is impressive, as you can see in the picture. And if you're in the mood for something simple, definitely go for their bolognese pasta.

If you venture downstairs to the washrooms, be sure to check out the old holding cells in the basement that have been transformed into wine cellars. It's fascinating to see how this place used to be an old courthouse back in the day!

Wonderful staff. Front hosts/reception is very welcoming and servers are kind and patient. Overall, the food is a good go to for simple and reliable Italian food. The fried calamari was the highlight of the dinner. Lightly crispy, not chewy and fresh. The atmosphere is superb especially the back patio on a sunny day.

Excellent place for Italian food. Lot of options to chose from. Food was outstanding all mouthwatering items. Don’t forget to try the desserts too tiramisu & home made ice cream. Servers are very professional & has sound knowledge of the menu. They will help you to select the food in case you’re confused. I would highly recommend this place.

The burger was excellent. Had all the basic elements but they were all very well done. The bun retained its integrity which was key. Fries were ok but the burger did shine. Had calamari and devilled eggs as well. They were kind of how you would expect. Device was quite slow even though the patio wasn’t that busy. I would go again for a business lunch. It’s a pricey option for sure.

Had dinner here with my family and we were blown away with the service, attention to detail and the amazing food. The open airy feeling of the dining room in the historic Hudson's Bay building was inspiring. I had the pasta and it was just delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our server was very attentive. Great spot for dinner.

Great cuts of meat. The food was pretty good and the steaks were seasoned well. We did have to send a steak back that was ordered medium rare but we received it well. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Great dog friendly restaurant though that has a huge patio.

Tenderloin was perfection. What steak dreams are made of. Crispy edges. Good texture. Pink throughout.extremely tender. Packed full of flavor 10/10 this is a tie for with hys.

Ribeye my boyfriend loved his and said it was good.

Gnocchi, although listed as a main it was actually perfect for an appetizer for two to share. My boyfriend and I both loved it. And he named it “the best gnocchi” he’s ever had. I liked that there was a variety of mushrooms and they were cooked well into the sauce.
However, I did notice right away that the sauce had flour that wasn’t properly cooked/combined or simply just too much. The flour taste was notable right away and there was a gritty texture in your mouth. My partner agreed. Nonetheless, the dish overall was very tasty, it was certainly something we could look past! Maybe a fluke / off day with the sauce. But we will be back for this one again.

Porter house - no comment. There was an issue with the meat freshness, when brought to the staffs attention they quickly resolved the issue by bringing us new steaks. We understand mistakes happen. But unfortunately no review here for that reason

Drinks:

TKO expresso martini - a true dessert drink, perfect for sipping alongside a good meal. Impactful flavor. Tequila isn’t prominent.

Material girl - very girly. Very cutesy. Very demure.

whiskey ginger + lime - a crowd pleaser. Anyone would love this!

The glenlivet 12 year - good find. Nice aroma. Smooth.

Sides:

Mashed potato’s: the presentation was nice, they were good! Not omg amazing. But good.

The beets and walnuts - could have used some kind of coating or sauce of any kind as the walnuts are dry and just fall to the bottom so.. hard to get the walnuts and beet together without on a fork for the flavor combination.

Mushrooms - very much just plain mushrooms w some butter/oil. Really nothing special.

Five-Star Experience at The Guild
My family and I had such a wonderful time on Canada Day at The Guild! The service was absolutely excellent attentive and friendly. Every bite of the food was delicious
The patio was a highlight: beautifully decorated for Stampede, it added a festive, cozy touch to the whole experience. And as a bonus they were incredibly welcoming to my dog and took great care of him too, which made the visit even more special.
The ambiance, the food, the staff it all came together to create a fantastic outing.

I had a wonderful dining experience at The Old Spaghetti Factory! I ordered the Tortellini Pomodoro, and it was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked pasta with a rich, flavorful sauce. The meal came with complimentary Minestrone soup, warm bread, and garlic butter, which made it feel extra comforting and hearty. The free ice cream for dessert is so yummy. A combination of vanilla chocolate and pistachio. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying.
A big thank you to my server, Nathan, he was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout my meal. His warm service really added to the experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

From the very beginning we were greeted by our server with a huge smile. He was amazing, very friendly. Food was delicious. It was busy but everything came out way quicker then we had all thought, with how many people were there! Would definitely come back, if we had the same server it would make things even more fantastic, but i dont think we got his name.

Great food for the price. Had the lasagna. Can’t really beat the value. Restaurant wasn’t the cleanest including some dirty utensils we have to get replaced. Service was somewhat lacking.

After calling the Olive Garden, and being told they wouldn't accommodate our group of 11, we decided to try Old Spaghetti Factory.
They very quickly made a space for us, and assigned us 2 servers!

The food was decent.
The resturant was clean and well maintained.
When they missed one person's order, they quickly got his order out and didn't charge for it.
They didn't give us refills on our water, or bread, so that was disappointing.
We enjoyed the ice cream at the end as well.

Overall, it wasn't a bad experience and it was alright food.

Often times, hotel food can be middling in order to appeal to the widest possible audience, which of course makes sense for a hotel.

But the food at the rooftop of the Broadview Hotel was excellent! My group devoured a bunch of the menu items:

Fried calamari
Tuna Tataki
Scallop ceviche
Popcorn chicken
Steak skewers
Nachos
BBQ chicken flatbread

And we washed it all down with both lime and mango margaritas.

Everything was superb. My favorites were the nachos (made with what seemed to be deep fried pita chips) and the popcorn chicken.

The vibe was great too. A DJ was spinning in the corner. The vibe was lovely but you could still hear each other speak from across the table.

And the staff was friendly and attentive.

I’d go back.

And for anyone in Toronto who thinks it’s “all the way in the east end” it’s only about 10 mins in an uber from the financial district.

And the view of the city skyline from the glass enclosed jewel box of a rooftop room is worth heading east.

Went to the rooftop for a team dinner. First time dining there. Our group had many compliments about the view. We sat around 7:30pm in July so there was a lot of sunset to look at.

Menu was diverse and lots of selection. One person in our group was vegetarian and had plenty of choices. Drink menu was good as well. We all enjoyed the evening.

Loved the rooftop outdoor views! We had the best seat up there so that definitely contributed to our great experience. We ordered charcuterie board which wasn’t all the impressive, cauliflower, market salad and steak skewers. We thought they were all good and definitely would order cauliflower and steak skewers again! I had a mango mule alcohol free cocktail which was great.

One of the better rooftop patios that I’ve visited! The ambiance was nice, but at the time of our visit, they played the music very loud, it’s a hit or miss depending on where you were seated, but overall the view was nice, and the seating was cozy, like you were on a rooftop patio!

The servers were really kind, and fun to talk to, and even when requesting to move seats, they were very accomodating.

The food was very good, it took a but longer than expected to come out, but when it arrived, it tasted great. Had truffle fries and their pizza, would definitely recommend!

The people working there were very unfriendly and they make you feel unwelcome. As for the food it was ok, the carbonara wasn't bad but the veil didn't taste good. I ordered a tiramisu for dessert but it was too sweet. My whole experience could've been way better if the staff was nicer.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The atmosphere is modern, bright and well decorated. Every single pasta dish was a pure delight. The aroma and flavour were quite present. The service was excellent as they were very attentive to our requests. The pistachio gelato was a must, imported directly from Italy.

Terrible experience!! The food is extra expensive for the quality and quantity. The service was mediocre, they were rushing us out of the restaurant to get other customers in, they did not respond to our requests when we needed utensils or parmesan. The spaghetti bolognese looked like this, it tasted like a cafeteria meal, barely had meat in the sauce and was 28$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend. Also almost no vegetarian meals

Great place for Italian in downtown Ottawa. The food is delicious. I have come here for the last 15 years and have never been disappointed. Service is kind and efficient. The atmosphere is elegant, modern and fun.

Amazing and tasty lunch, has the pasta carbonara and it was simply great. Friendly service from Joe and great ambiance .. highly recommend for your lunch needs if you are working downtown

A really pleasant surprise inside the hotel – definitely not your typical hotel restaurant. Very comfortable place with high-quality products and super friendly staff. The potatoes were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside, absolutely delicious. The butter chicken is highly recommended, and the sandwich was to die for!

This has become a yearly staple when we visit Ottawa. The food is wonderful and the prices are very fair for the area. Good comes out quickly but the quality doesn't suffer for the speed.

The atmosphere is great and the staff is attentive and helpful.

My partner and I had an amazing time during our Valentine’s Day dinner at Tulip. Their creative and unique approach to the way they create their dishes was outstanding. Each appetizer, entre and desert were well-plated, delicious, and unlike anything we’ve had before.

The service itself was incredible as our server was very personable and friendly while being highly attentive to our requests. Whilst the food was coming out at a slower pace than most other restaurants, it’s understandable due to how much time and effort goes into creating the dishes.

The restaurant itself had a great ambience and was well decorated, but did not feel as intimate due to the open-front that faced the hotel lobby.

With all of this being said, the experience itself was amazing and is something to remember. I would definitely come back as the overall value, service, and the amazing food is worth every penny.

The food is very good and the portions are generous!
