This Save-On-Foods is a great addition to Trinity Hills and will serve the growing development well.

Yes, there are growing pains such as expiring products due to the early days of being here. In time, it will be a great fit as all the condos get built and occupied.

The store is clean, modern, and bright. I like popping in here whenever I am in the area. The store is quiet, but there are staff who are friendly and helpful.

I do wish that they would do more promotions with the hot and cold food area to move products along and help draw in shoppers.

It's great to see security guards in the store—it makes us feel safer and shows the store takes security seriously. However, during our visit last Sunday, we felt quite uncomfortable during self-checkout. The way the security guard stared at us while we scanned our items was intense and made the experience unpleasant.

We understand and appreciate that they're just doing their job, but there’s a way to observe without making customers feel like they’re being accused of something. If there’s ever a genuine concern about how we're scanning, we’d prefer the guard or a staff member to step in politely and assist, rather than silently watching in a way that feels intrusive.

A little courtesy goes a long way in maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

…and it’s super quiet for a reason. As others have pointed out - customer service here is actually worse than superstore. Yes I said it and stand by that.

The deli lady wanted me to check the slice thickness and when I said - I think that’s fine, she replied with a sarcastic “did you even check it???”

Self checkout is normally pretty good until it isn’t in which case the only person you can find to help you out is the security guard who can really help you and both of you begin a quest to find a real store employee.

…and when you do it feels like a huge inconvenience for them. Oh by the way - you can’t scan the barcode for cherries - you should know that you have to punch in the PLU code. Silly me.

As I said - I really want to like this store… and i think we’re all just a little disappointed more than satisfied. Hope that it will improve over time.

I’m echoing James’s experience here. I really wanted to like this Save On Foods location since it’s within throwing distance. Unfortunately, customer service has been consistently disappointing: often slow or non-existent, rarely friendly, and occasionally outright snarky. It feels like you’re doing them a favor by shopping there, which is especially frustrating given the high prices.

My last three customer service interactions, all today, are what prompted this review—and what will now push me to make the less convenient trip to Superstore across the highway instead.

Item for item, groceries at this Save On are noticeably more expensive than at other stores. Worse, the produce and meat seem to spoil far faster than they should.

Great location, selection, prices and staff. It's nice to be able to go to a grocery store downtown and not have any homeless presence. Never too busy either compared to the other grocery stores in the area. The 4 for $20 mix & match meats are a great deal as well.

I love Urban Fare's fresh ingredients and I know that I can always get fresh herbs, veggies and fruit when I go there. Urban Fare offers premade, hot food, pizza, buffet salad, Asian food, coffee/tea bars and more. They have a full butcher counter with fresh and cooked food. Their cheese selection is amazing as well as the fresh flower kiosk. Did I mention they have a Starbucks too? THEN you have the actual store! They are a bit more expensive then traditional main stream grocery centres but as you step inside you feel the difference. Urban Fare offers a rewards program and has plenty of specials. It takes a lot of fortitude to walk past their dessert section without actually buying a sumptuous delight! So if you are in the mood to shop or get your food ready to go, give Urban Fare a try today:)

Very excited for Urban Fare in downtown Calgary. This is one of the nicest grocery stores in the entire city and we are very lucky to have it in the Beltline. The prices are very competitive and are close in comparison to Safeway. From the decor to how the store is laid out it is all very nicely done. Exciting to see a Starbucks, wine bar, poke station, and many other Ready-to-Eat menu items to pick up. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Beautifully designed, inviting and the focus on fresh is experienced the moment you walk through the doors. The selections in each of the core areas is breathtaking. As a cheese lover I found the varieties and choices fantastic. Although this is a drive for me the selection of fresh cut flowers along with the mouthwatering selection of desserts will make a weekly trip more than worth while. The addition of the wine bar and 6 beers on tap certainly makes Urban Fare a unique foodie experience in Calgary.

Spectacular customer service! I needed to switch from « pick up » to « delivery » since I couldn’t get to the store due to surgery. The change was made with one quick, pleasant call. Very understanding and accommodating. But…when the delivery arrived it also included a « get well » card and flowers! Thank you for going above and beyond. It’s very much appreciated!

Save on foods is a good place to go to buy things that will nourish and feed you. It all depends on the level you want. The staff is friendly and courteous. The store is well lit and clean. If you’re looking for food this is the place. This location is convenient and plenty of parking even underground which is great in the winter time. Save on foods is well stocked and the quality is always top notch. I have shopped at many different Save on Foods locations and have always enjoyed the experience. Same level of service always.

Great super market. Great produce. Excellent deli selection. Lots of prepare ready to cook meal options that taste good. To make life easier they are adding delivery service next month. How easy is that. Prices can be a little higher unless you have their rewards card and their specials are pretty good. They also make great party platters if you are entertaining.

This is what a $14 plus change salad at this place. I'm very petite and this salad is tiny! You can literally see the bottom! Compare my coffee and palm. Absolutely disgusting the prices at this places. Often, I find the vitamins for 1/4 of the price if I buy online or at a regular grocery store. You guys are gouging big time, and I will never shop here again. It's a RIPOFF!!!!

This is the most incompetent store I have ever encountered. Do not order anything here. They will screw up your order. They don't know how to count, and can't be bothered to write anything down or, if they do, to read it. Some of the products are good, but you can get the same products at other health food stores.
Things were different under the previous owners, who worked very hard, and were super competent.

I enjoy visiting here occasionally to see if there are deals or some new seasonal items. Decent selection of supplements, superfoods, fresh produce, and items for special diets (GF, plant based , etc.). I found some sausage weiners discounted to 50% off nearing expiring but they can be frozen. It is about own due diligence when it comes to expiry dates. Cannot speak on the ready-to-eat or bakery side, however. The Asian female cashier at the time of my visit was pretty chirpy and enthusiastic

This is a joy to go shopping to! It is clean well sorted easy to find what you need I found the staff was not only happy and friendly...but the are VERY knowledgeable! They can answer any questions you have. The food is OUTSTANDING fresh healthy non GMO . All organic and natural. Even free tasters to try at the soup area. They like you to bring your own non plastic bags but will provide a brown paper bag if you forget your bag. **HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!**

Waited in line on the Saturday for an hour, just to get in. Maybe we'll buy tickets online next year, because we will definitely go again. Planning costumes already. It was wonderful to see so many people that get involved in the spirit of the Faire. So many different things to see and dozens of booths to shop at for clothing, jewelry and all things medieval. Make sure to get seats in the stadium early for the jousting!

Knight fights are the best part of the faire! Hope next year we get more variety for side shows and attractions! I liked fight the knight last year this year axe throwing and Cornhole was okay but I think there needs to be more to do when waiting for the jousts!

Jousting, knight battles, cosplay contest and the market were all great. The 1 hour long lineup to buy food or drinks was not. They need to double the number of food vendors.

First time coming this year and let me say that it was so worth it. Everyone was so welcoming and the activities were very fun and engaging. Would come again. Bring your best costume!

It was a wonderful afternoon. The people were kind, accepting, and many dressed up or in character. Food from the trucks was delicious. The armored combat was great. Even the merchant stalls was a good time, plenty of interesting people and their incredible products. Will go again.

2 cashiers that were helping me never smiled. Never said, hello. How are you? They were very short with their words. I'm not very polite.
The plants we're not watered, they were bent over and all dried out. It hadn't been watered for many days. It's a soil.It was dry as a bone.b i would say they need some lessons on customer service and taking pride in their store.

I found the prices here to be quite high, and the labeling can be very misleading. I was charged extra for a bag of apples because the pricing sign was incorrectly placed. I also bought a $12 sandwich, assuming it would be healthy since the store promotes itself as a health-focused market. However, after eating it, I noticed it contained 89% of the recommended daily sodium intake—which is shockingly high. Even typical grocery store sandwiches don’t have that much sodium! I just cannot recommend this store.

I am appalled at the level of low quality produce at this store. I shopped here for years and as the years go by the quality of produce gets worse over time. I spent over 20$ on a water melon that turned out to be yellow and dry inside. I have never seen a water melon like this in my life. I was completely ripped off by this store! It is genetically modified (claiming it is number 9 organic). I will not be shopping there again. The prices are outrageously high for low quality produce. I rather invest in a csa local farmers in a small community than go here. I strongly consider management to rethink their prices and the quality of produce they are selling to the public as it is of extremely low calibre.

As far as I'm aware, this is the largest organic grocery store in the city.

Lots of selection for organic and free-trade items, but there is a noticeable mark-up compared to grocery stores, even for the same items you can get elsewhere.

In the last year, they have changed their membership service so that now you need to have an app to take advantage of things, which i do not appreciate, as the world has more than enough apps and it used to be such that you could just give your phone number at the cash till.

There is some off-street parking, but not much.

First time here, I love how spacious and clean it is. Lots of organic produce and products. Bulk items, discount rack and supplements.

This is a great location and this store provides good products. Most of the staff is incredible and so helpful. But on a few occasions some staff members and even the security has lost control and verbally or physically abused a human being over very small problems. I have witnessed it twice now. It’s unacceptable to curse and abuse patrons of your business. These issues can be handled professionally and appropriately. What is the benefit to Safeway and its brand to abuse its clientele for any issue. Handle your business professionally or it will give your respectful employees and the Safeway brand a bad image.

Save-On-Foods is honestly my favorite grocery store—especially now that Safeway isn't what it used to be back in the day. You just walk in, grab what you need, no endless lines, no chaos—you’re in and out.

Today, I went in specifically for a cake to bring to a party, and they had a fresh, beautiful red velvet cake that looked amazing. It tasted even better. Everyone at the party loved it. Save-On really came through!

My last trip to this Save-On will be my last. I should have never swayed from my usual Real Canadian Superstore.
$140 for a fruit/veggie top-up shop and a loaf of bread. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if the sourdough wasn't already hard, the papaya wasn't inedible with a strong chemical taste, tasteless berries and soft gooey cherries. Extremely disappointed, especially when I can go to my usual grocer and get fresh tasty produce every time and bread baked that day for a better price.
It's time that your quality start reflecting your prices.

Was at your store today your butcher pretty much ignored us she walk pasted us saying there’s a discount on chicken and we stood at the meat bar waiting for her to serve us then she rudely said what do you want like she didn’t want to do her job!! Folks say that it's pretty much the best quality meat and produce of all the grocery stores, and the prices reflect it.
If you're a smart shopper and you buy what's on sale, it would be about
the same as Safeway.

Used to come here all the time when it was Safeway super happy to see that there is another grocery store in the area very prominent for anyone around or just passing by since it is in a in a great area next to the highway. It Is great for produce, meats, spies and more.

Very disappointed with our recent purchase. We bought a box of dragon fruit from Freestone , and every single one was rotten and inedible. Complete waste of money. It’s clear they don’t check the quality of their produce before selling. Will not be shopping here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for fresh fruit.

I always love coming to Save On Foods because it’s so convenient, whether I’m grabbing some quick lunch meat or trying something new like dill pickle hummus. This store consistently makes shopping a positive experience, and today was no exception.

I went to the store this morning at around 10.30 and I would love to share my experience about two employees (I was unable to get their names as I was rushing to work).
I was in looking for egg sandwich around the food section and wasn't able to find any, however a girl (employee) walked by with a cart stacked with some egg sandwiches and helped me grab some. She was very helpful and polite, I would certainly give 5 stars just for her. Her customer service is definitely a skill to be recognized.
On the contrary, I walked into the "lottery" section to purchase some and was seeking help from the lady who was in charge of that section. She was absolutely racist and rude and I was very unhappy about her customer service. Now since I live in the neighbourhood I shared my experience with my neighbours and to my surprise most of them have had the same issue. The manager has to train the lady to be polite despite her racial concerns. The security woman was equally impolite no smile, no greeting at all.
Kudos again to the girl in the bakery section who helped me with my purchase.

I moved here from shoppers drug mart and WOW it's night and day. Thank you to save on foods pharmacy staff for truly providing customer service ! Every time I get a prescription filled or need anything it's just so easy! In a life of chaos i appreciate the break. It really makes a difference.

I went in for HotDog buns and walked around as it was my first time going in and thought I would try it. I liked it and was going to tell the wife that we sghould start going there. It was clean, with good assortment and no crowds ......Went to self check out with hotdogs bun and didnt have the code. I asked CUSTOMER SERVICE for help and the older lady made me feel so stupid and belittled me because I didnt have the code. She said I dont know the code but we will try this one hopefully it works. She aggressively punched in some number and it was correct. She then just walked away. Needless to say I WONT BE BACK as Walmart is down the hill at Deerfoot. I havent felt that stupid in a long time ....

I came here to pick up some sushi for a late lunch. They had a good selection freshly made on the same day.

The store itself was bright and spacious. The sushi was decent.

16 pieces for $9.99 was a good price. I would not hesitate to pick up another one next time.

A great attraction to the Westhills area is the fact that we have so many grocers to choose from! Tonight I went to Save On Foods seeing as I was close by the area and grabbed fresh veggies, berries and deli marinated meat.

Perfect for easy dinner options. They even have a “happy hour” discount in for a selection of meat from 3-6:00. Bonus!

It is also a laid back store that isn’t mayhem to navigate. Well marked aisles and not a hundred people crammed in at once. You could even grab your Starbucks from inside while wandering!

I always buy prepared food, but today I went around 2:30pm and the woman who was in the prepared food section didn't want to sell me salad because I asked her to give me 200gr of salad and she didn't know how much that was. Foods are sold in grams but the containers are in pounds. Of course I'm not going to know that because they have the scale, not me as a client. Bad for the woman who didn't want to sell, bad for the store that lost a customer. I give you one star because I had a bad experience and couldn't buy what I wanted.

Nice new clean modern building. taking strathmore into the 21st century with style and elegance. The farmers that used to sell their goods on this land now sell them elsewhere, parking lots are of abundance. Nice pond and walkway beside aswell this build blends well and doesn't district from the natural beauty that surrounds it. Would definitely go back to see it again.

The Town has no Visitor Information. When I phoned the town they say it is at Dairy Queen. Well nothing is there & nothing on Google. We went into friendly small business & heard that small businesses were trying to get together to do QR codes for tourists. That is great but like what we were doing just antiquing through southern Alberta we want the information on hand. This is the first time I have been into a town/city this size & have not seen any brochures or maps anywhere in their city. If there was maybe we would have stayed longer.

I am a Hillview Resident that is concerned about the speed on 262 oxbow Rd. and Hwy 817. They drive it like a NASCAR driver at about 100 kph or more for a 1/4 mile . There is school buses stopping for kid and people walking there dogs as well as joggers. I have complained several time to the town and and NO response back, so far nothing as been addressed until a human or animals get KILLED!!!

Getting a Business License is fast, staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It's a pleasure doing business with them.

The manager is incompetent in understanding or resolving obvious shipping label issues and charges customers for tax on packages that were never sent by the sender or intended for recipient and refuse to refund or resolve anything and should not be working in customer service or with the public at all. Absolutely horrendous experience here. This is the second important package the carrier has lost and the service rep at the post office was rude, demeaning, and refused to answer any of my questions. I asked for the customer service number to create a ticket for our lost package and she rudely told me she had already given it to my husband. I asked if she could have the respect and decency to give it to me also, and she accused me of being disrespectful and indecent with her, rolled her eyes, and walked away without helping me. I asked her coworker if I had been indecent or disrespectful and the coworker just gave me a sad apologetic look and the customer service number I had asked for. If you see a short woman with straight reddish brown hair, ask to be helped by anyone else because she's miserable and wants everyone else to be miserable too. How she's employed still is beyond me.

Absolutely terrible. Thanks to this place being no help and somehow “misplacing” my grad photos, then changing their minds and saying they apparently gave it to someone else, I will now never receive them. They also don’t answer the damn phone and most of the staff is just outright nasty and condescending.

The people here are great. Office staff are kind and the carriers are helpful when I need to know something.

Terrible customer service and rude lady working the counter who states been there 15 years and with all that time and experience would not look up a Canada post number commercial department number, as it would just be wrong to help a customer.
