Absolutely OBSESSED with the many aspects of plants, flowers, and lifestyle this special shop boasts. I participated in a floral eco dyeing and bouquet making workshop with Meaghan and Susan and wish I could give 10 stars for the experience. Also, my garden thrived this year due to recommendations for natural fertilizers & additives (worm castings, Gaia Greens) from the Botanist. As well, the fresh starter plants (marigolds, many herbs) all transplanted so well. Can’t say enough good about this local gem.

They have a lot of plants, substrates, and materials that just aren't easy to come by unless you order internationally.

This store of full of charm! It is small but so many things to see and explore. I got most of my conversation piece plant from this store. What set this place apart from other small business plant store are the staff and the owner.
I specifically asked if it's possible is she can order a specific flower for me, anemones, and she did. I love that they're an online and in-store type business. I can check online or message them on social media to check what they have. It saves me time. I LOVE that I can reply on their IG story and asked to reserved something for me. ❤️

Cute little store. I was looking for another plant but saw the carnivorous plants at the front door, bought them on a whim. No experience growing them and I was confident they'd perish quick but was told to check out a specific youtube channel and it has been invaluable. Would be cool to see more varieties of these very interesting plants.

The beautiful Australian tree fern just arrived today in kitchener all the way from Calgary, after been in transit for a week, they are very healthy, and were very well wrapped up delicately for shipping. Such a nice surprise getting gifted this beautiful basket from family via The Gift Designers. Lots of variety of items all themed around bbq (even the basket itself is a grilling basket for veggies which is super creative!!). Love that they also support a lot of local brands. Great experience with delivery too!!

What an amazing place to work with. I knew what I wanted but the wonderful lady helped me make a few decisions. I wanted a next day order and they came through and delivered for me! So happy.I was so thankful they sent me a message saying delivered. They called my sister with a delivery time. So appreciate the care and delivery!

The experience as a gift receiver was wonderful. I got a text the day before asking me to phone them to confirm I would be home for the delivery the next day. The delivery arrived on time and was lovely. I liked the selection of fresh fruit and treats, that the filler material is shredded paper I can compost, and that the basket is of high quality.

The gift was packaged beautifully with high quality products that ranged from sweet to salty treats! The delivery service, not a general delivery service but company vehicle with excellent driver service) detailed and thoughtful to ensure the quality of the products would not be damaged due to the elects (hot/sunny).

I can't say how pleased I am with my order. I live far off in Finland and these guys helped me put a big, wide, happy smile on my brother's face on his birthday. The items and packaging were all 10/10. And delivery was stress free and on time. Will definitely recommend them!

Always love popping in here for little bits and bobs. The owner is a great guy, and all the staff are super nice. They have a good variety from tacky and fun mugs and placemats to beautiful quality jewelry, keepsakes and knits as well as great snacks. I go in regularly to stock back up on jams and such.

I have two kids with July birthdays and used Sugar Cube for both celebrations. They took the time to ask about each of my children’s interests, party themes, and colour palettes—and it really showed in the final result! The treats were not only stunning but also a huge hit with the kids.

The candy was incredibly fresh—so much better than anything you'd find in store-bought bins. I have no idea how they source it, but it’s seriously delicious. The parent-approved giveaways were another win—way more thoughtful (and useful!) than the typical grab bags full of plastic bits that end up broken around the house.

I can’t say enough good things about the Sugar Cube! We ordered one of their cotton candy cakes for our daughter’s 19th birthday and it was a huge hit with the whole family. We had a big family gathering to celebrate and the cake became an impromptu party game. As each layer in the rainbow of cotton candy colours had its own delicious flavour, people would close their eyes and try to guess the flavour without seeing the colour. It was fun for a huge range of ages at the party. It was also REALLY easy to cut, serve and insert a candle - and it stayed fresh for days after the event. It was absolutely fantastic and looked just like the photo on their website. Thanks so much Sugar Cube!!!

P.S. I also highly recommend ordering the Sugar Cube’s Christmas advent calendar. I was a grateful recipient of one last year and I have been craving it ever since! It was not only delicious but lots of fun for the family as you had to guess the flavour and then use a QR Code to watch a cute video for the ‘big reveal’ of the candy flavour. :)

Best candy ever. Like seriously. Everything from the packaging to the colour matching to custom logos and mixes Sugar Cube has got you covered. Everything is so fresh and delicious! The ladies are such a pleasure to work with!

Let me just say that this candy is soooo good! It smells amazing and it tastes amazing! I'm so glad I found a local company who I could support. The final candy package they provided exceeded my expectations by far. 550 packages were shipped across Canada and it put smiles on so many faces. I highly recommend The Sugar Cube!

The Sugar Cube needs to be your go-to for any candy buffet you need! They went above and beyond for our event and it was the hit of the party. So nice to work with, reasonable prices and amazing decor. Highly recommend!

My undeniable favourite is the 18 year-old Traditional Balsamic.
Next in line in my household is the Alfoos Mango White Balsamic Vinegar. We also tried and loved the Black Cherry Dark Balsamic Vinegar and the Green Apple White Balsamic.
Next time, we want to try the Blackberry Ginger Dark Balsamic Vinegar. Can't wait!!

I received the pomegranate balsamic vinegar as a gift and absolutely love it. I decided to purchase a few bottles as gifts. The next day Zi realized they were the wrong bottles. I contacted them and they right away offered to deliver the ones I wanted snd pick up the other ones. Very impressed with their service.

What a great experience! We saw their sign while having lunch. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They suggested various balsamics to sample and told us about the numerous recipes on line. We ordered our wedding favours from The Unrefined Olive and I cannot recommend them enough! Kitt was amazing to work with— so helpful and kind as we navigated the process. The Milanese gremolata olive oil and aged balsamic were a perfect complement to our meal and the handwritten tags were so beautiful. They were the perfect favour and we cannot wait to buy more olive oil and vinegar to have at home.

The store is beautiful, the man who served me was delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. I left having tasted several samples and being really satisfied with the whole experience. You will never be able go back to grocery olive oil!! The quality here is just so good. You can reuse the bottles, just clean them yourself first.The prices are very reasonable too, you pick the size of the bottle which has a fixed price.

First of all, lovely designs and original creations. What truly sets this store apart is the customer service. I received these earrings as a gift and love them. One day I was about to put them on and dropped one. I was heartbroken to see it shatter. I reached out to the store and spoke with them about a repair or replacement.

The person who bought these went to the store with the broken earring expecting to leave it so they could assess whether it could repaired. Imagine our surprise when they handed us a brand new earring. I was so grateful to have been given a new earring to replace the broken one.

During wedding planning, of all my vendors, Beaudry had the most difficult part of making my vision a reality. Adding to the difficulty was that I lived in a different province, so everything had to be done remotely: I needed a faux floral installations to go on these beautiful but tall cathedral windows, which innately made it a logistical challenge, but in the end, it all came together like a dream.

Their faux florals are quality, and installment + takedown were neat and orderly without any damage to the structure itself. Beaudry worked with me back and forth over lengthy but patient email exchanges, always taking my feedback and being able to build on it, and their part was so foundational to the aesthetic that I was trying to pull off. They had the artistry and expertise to match my vision and in the end, the canvas of the venue that they worked on became a work of art.

Rosie is genuinely the loveliest, and she’s an incredibly talented artist. I had my wedding flowers framed and they were so beautiful, and then heartbreaking - the nail we’d hung the frame from fell out of the wall and the frame crashed to the ground. Rosie got me in immediately to repair and entirely remake the frame - which I love even more now! We also ordered some floral ornaments with our wedding flowers as gifts for our family, and they loved them (my grandma cried).

Best decision ever!! I absolutely love my pressed bouquet frame, it turned out so wonderful, and I love how vibrant the blues and purples stayed even when dried! Rosie is so amazing, talented and was very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. I wanted to make sure the blue orchids in my bouquet were at the front since those are special flowers to my husband and I, and she took that and any other notes into consideration when making it. Also she texts you a mock up after it’s made, to get your thoughts on if you want anything changed or not! Highly recommend!

The cutest small chocolate shop to ever exist. Looks like it belongs in a hallmark cozy little town, but inside they have high-quality handmade chocolates that would make any chocoholic swoon.
They even have the trending Dubai chocolate and they do it differently, if not better. The lady helping us explained that they make theirs in small bite-size pieces to share - if you don't eat it all yourself that is.
Brought my mother here for an early Mother's Day gift, she left with a box of hand-picked chocolates and a huge grin which is always a win for me.
The love and care they put into their chocolate also shows when boxing up the chocolate and wrapping it.

I was hoping to send a thank you to someone who loves chocolate on Friday, and it was late on a Thursday afternoon.

Heidi, from Epiphanie, answered my request expeditiously and said 'Yes, it was possible to have the gift delivered the next morning'. She even let me include a custom note and hand-pick which chocolates would be included.

The recipient and their family were blown away by the appearance and taste of these treats and I can't wait to visit Epiphanie chocolates in person.

I was a fan of this store from the start, having met the kind and helpful owner when it first opened. Over the years, we returned several times, but the service gradually declined, when the owner wasn't present. Initially, I brushed it off as an off day, but our latest experience was unacceptable. When we tried to return bent glasses, the staff responded rudely, downplaying the issue and suggesting we weren’t entitled to a resolution due to the “relatively low purchase price of $70.” Unacceptable.

I walked into Glam Bar Bazaar not knowing exactly what to expect, but I was genuinely impressed by the overall atmosphere of the store. It’s beautifully laid out — clean, well-organized, and visually very appealing. Everything felt thoughtfully curated, from the product displays to the lighting and aesthetic.

I did have a chance to speak briefly with one of the managers, and I just want to note that she provided impeccable customer service super approachable and attentive.

One of my favourite local shops! I always stop in when I pass by. The people working are always so friendly and helpful. Beautiful jewellery that both my partner and I love, we each have pieces we wear often. Plus lots of cat themed things that make perfect gifts for any cat lover friends! You can tell the shop is thoughtfully curated :)

I ordered a piece of jewellery for pickup on Nov 19th 2024 as the Canada Post strike had just started. After waiting a month, I have never received a notice to pick it up. I contacted them via email and they said it was shipped via Canada post from their location in Toronto via regular mail and due to the strike, it will be delayed. I waited another few weeks and heard nothing. They assured me to wait some more. I waited until Jan 28th (over 2 months later) and still have not received it. I requested a refund. They said they were going to find out what happened to the item that was sent from Toronto first. I have tried repeatedly over the next several days/weeks to get a refund, but now my emails are unanswered. They do not have a contact phone number.

I was being patient because of the Canada Post strike, but at this point it's straight up theft of my money. I will have to pursue this.

I wanted to support local businesses, but it was a mistake with this store. Do not shop here. Use my experience as a warning.

I have been a happy repeat customer of this shop for several years now and have always found what I am looking for either for myself or to gift…unique and handmade earrings, necklaces, rings, clothing, bags, pins. cards-you name it!Owner Tamara and her amazing staff provide excellent service and are always kind, helpful and hilarious. Supporting local is important to me and even more so when a place is welcoming, inclusive, kind and supportive of all in the community. If you are looking for this kind of selection, experience and values get yourself to Kindred and you will not be disappointed.

The jewelery and clothes here are unique, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I think she showed me half of the jewelry in the store before I chose what I wanted. The jewelry is slightly more affordable than the places nearby as well, so that is a bonus. I also was very tempted by the bamboo undergarments they sell, I will probably go back to buy some.

Well this was definitely our favourite gift shop in Ottawa. Like most big cities, they're flooded with cheap junk made from poor countries with materials that will fall apart in no time. But this place is different. It's high quality. Canadian made from what I seen. And great selection.

The selection of goods here is so vast. You can buy some Peace by Chocolate, a t-shirt or soap. So many options.

Definitely make this part of your stops when you come to Ottawa.

Absolutely LOVED this store. The staff were so gracious and helpful and friendly. I gave my wallet to a girl whose virthday it was and she was so touched. We sang her Happy Birthday as well and i left feeling so very happy. The store has so many lovely things and they were very cheerful, a true sign of people who love their job and velieve in their store!

I cannot say how much I love this woven blanket from Prince Edward Island that I got via maker house. it is wonderful. The quality is so good and the delivery was quick and seamless. Very very impressed. Will definitely use this group again.

Wonderful purchase of Maple Leaf Pins partially made from the old copper roof of Canada's Parliament Buildings. Each one is a little unique and they make a special gift. Part of the proceeds is also donated. Ordering and delivery could not have been smoother.

They absolutely nailed the vision we had — soft, multicolour pastel tones in natural, garden-style bouquets down to the specific flowers and accent colours — and even went above and beyond by accommodating last-minute requests with ease, we loved the matching petals for the toss that were added short notice!

Their communication was always clear and timely, and the quality of the flowers was outstanding — fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully arranged. Delivery and setup and transfers were on time and went without a hitch. Our guests gave so many compliments and truly loved the flowers, and also ecstatic to be able to take some of the bouquets home. I called and spoke with Amira who was friendly, ​attentive and made great suggestions within my budget. The custom-made floral arrangement that Eric and his team created was beautiful and much appreciated by the recipient. You can pick up the flowers or have them delivered (opted for the latter and everything arrived on time at the Funeral Home). This will definitely be my go-to place when I want to send flowers to a loved one.

We recently sent flowers to our friend using Mood Moss delivery service and we are so impressed with the bouquet they put together. We thought the price was more than fair, and the lilies are blooming 4+ days after delivery still.

We used Mood Moss once before, and the florist there was incredibly helpful and put together a beautiful arrangement for our friend who had recently lost her father. Both friends raved about the arrangements days after receiving them.

It was my first visit at a florist and I loved it! I bought some flowers for Mother’s Day and there was a big variety of choice! The employee made me choose what I wanted based on my budget and they did ask me if I wanted "greens". When it was done, they did ask me if I liked it before paying. Also, it wasn’t an extra to as "greens".

Fast and friendly. Preorder works just fine.

Prior to my appointment, I hadn't looked at any dresses yet in person, so booked in for a "Dress Discovery" appointment. I told Stephanie what I thought I might be interested in, and showed her some examples of what I thought I might like, and she got busy picking out dresses for me to try. Everything she picked out was PERFECT, and she was so helpful at making suggestions about alterations or accessories to change the looks of dresses to fit what I was looking for. Ultimately, the last dress I tried was my perfect dress (thank you, Stephanie, for getting me to try it on! I figured I'd tried on a bunch and had a better idea of what I wanted and was satisfied with that, but she basically said I may as well try this other one while I was there, and I'm so happy I did!), and I ended up purchasing it that same day.

Everything from the Diet Coke, to the body-positive and safe environment, to the help from Stephanie, made my experience at NKIN incredible. Even months after I bought my dress, they were helpful with suggesting alterations when I messaged them on Instagram just weeks before my wedding (I wasn't able to go back to NKIN as I live in Alberta, so they made some suggestions to help with how my dress fit). All-in-all, my experience was fantastic and I highly recommend using them for any bridal needs!

Abby wrote the most special officiating speech and vows that truly emulated everything of my husband and I’s relationship. I could not have asked for a better ceremony!

Okay. This IS the place to get your gown. The boutique itself is beautiful and girly and FUN. It’s THE VIBE to bring your gal pals with you and enjoy trying on gowns. I’ve been to many bridal boutiques and none of them felt this comfortable.
I had the absolute pleasure of having Stephanie be my consultant. No one has ever listened to exactly what I wanted and DELIVERED. I already knew what dresses I wanted pulled and my heart had already known which dress I was taking home but Stephanie was supportive from the moment we met. She helped me feel SO confident and went above and beyond even accessorizing me with different shades of veils and bringing shoe options. The entire team that I met were so helpful and seemed very down to earth and genuinely kind. These are the type of girls you need when bridal gown shopping to feel your absolute best. The cute accessories and little gifts they had at the entrance were super cute. There were personalized bridal party t shirts and cute cards (handmade looking) and other things that would make great bridal party gifts! I had so much fun, I will forever recommend NKIN to anyone who’s in the market. I wish I could relive the experience again just to hang with the girls while having my dream dress become my reality.

Macarons baking 101 with Ollia Macarons & Tea! What a great way to spend a fun evening with friends, work mates, or siblings! Making macarons is not foolproof, but it sure is tasty! David, the owner, was our instructor, and he put everyone at ease. We got a bit of history while learning how to make these delicate patisseries. There was definitely alot of laughter in the class! Merci beaucoup David, and Lindsey for the delicious tea and macaron samples.The best part of the class is taking home 2 dozen of our masterpieces...😁

Really cute shop located a short distance off of 17th Ave. The shop itself has sum unique and fun products including greeting cards, specialty sugars, and other items that pair well with sweets. The main star are the macarons which are both colour and delicious. The biggest problem is deciding which ones to try! They are delicious! Packaging is thoughtfully done, and only adds to the appeal. Overall well worth the trip to stop in and try some of the best macarons in the city.

I’ve ordered a box of 24 macarons for my husband birthday. Literally just 4 of all flavours were fresh and soft. All others were very dry and crumbly. I was very disappointed as it was a gift. Two stars for Earl Gary and Vanilla

I had such a wonderful experience at the macaron-making class at Ollia Macarons & Tea! The instructor was incredibly friendly and sweet, and she did a fantastic job explaining each step of the process, including why each technique was important for making light, airy, and delicious macarons. It was perfect for beginners and made the whole experience fun and approachable.

During our break, we were treated to a selection of Ollia’s own macarons along with some absolutely delicious teas—such a nice touch! The shop itself was clean, cozy, and very inviting. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking to learn something new and enjoy a lovely evening out.
