We rented chairs for our wedding from Special Event Rentals and had a wonderful experience. Nice chairs MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Worth every penny. Special shout out to Debbie who was always kind and great to connect with even though I had endless questions and little changes. Another shout out to the delivery folks who were perfectly on time and to the warehouse staff. We returned our chairs via uhaul and the warehouse staff gave great instructions to make sure everything was returned perfectly. The chairs are so nice and they weren't heavy, I was able to help organize them at/after the event, and at the same time they were sturdy and durable. We went with the chiavari mesh back chairs and they matched the fall cozy fairy vibe I was going for. Thank you!

Weekend pricing was a crazy amount at $459 for both drop off and pickup. So I made arrangements to have pickup on the Monday, to save some money. I had to fight to get anything back. and it was not what I expected at all... At least the setup crew was great and quick.
Kim was so unprofessional. Was even going to give me the wrong size tables when they had the correct size. Never use them again.

The team at Special Event Rentals Calgary is beyond wonderful. I cannot thank them enough. From Ms. Kim who managed all of our rental bookings and changes without one misstep, to the team in the warehouse who work so hard to make sure nothing is missed, all the way to the drivers Dale and Manelo who dealt with on the spot changes when they arrived to deliver at the venue.

Our school graduation was perfect because of the exceptional team at SER Calgary. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything, you help us create a beautiful and memorable event.

My Wife and I really enjoyed using Special Event Rentals for our wedding. We loved that we could come on down to your location and try out all different types of looks for our tables. We tried many different combinations and color schemes until we found the perfect look for our special day. From plates, and silverware, to glasses and vases, to table cloths and runners and everything in between, it was all there! Their product selection is wide ranging. Delivery was a breeze, it was timely and everything was accounted for. Also, everything was delivered squeaky clean - there wasn't even a spot on a single glass! We loved how easy it was, and the help in the store was fantastic as well. Their price is on point with their competitors, if not a little cheaper. I would highly recommend using Special Event Rentals!!

We rented silver and white chairs for our 25th Silver Anniversary Hospital Gala and wow the chairs were such an amazing touch to the decor!! Not only that, but Moriah was such a delight to work with and so helpful and flexible in the planning process as we had to make slight revisions to our order here and there. We would love to work with this company again!

Used Special Event Rentals for our wedding and had an excellent experience. They were very flexible with changes to our rentals up to the week of the event. We picked up and dropped off our rentals and they had alot of staff to help load and unload. The entire rental experience was seamless start to finish.

Special Event Rentals Edmonton really helped me out, and was able to secure family size plating for 10 tables after a previous vendor fell through and Jacob was super helpful in getting me set up. Also faced a bit of delay on the return and after a quick phone call the team was able to work something out that, again, really helped me out. A really solid company, and I would absolutely reccomend them if you're looking for any type of event rental!

We recently used special event rentals for our wedding & everything we got literally turned our vision into reality! It was stunning. It was so easy to worth with special event rentals. Moriah Little was helping us through the entire time, she was so accommodating & fast at responding! She made the whole process so easy! Would recommend this company for any event!

Some of the staff was really rude and when trying to ask a question , getting responses that made me feel like I was stupid for asking. Furthermore, I was starting to feel untrusted in the store when I had them falling me over because I was lost on what I needed but didn't dare ask them for help any longer. I believe they were quick to judge people. And made a point of letting a person know when your not wanted in their store. Worst experience ever coming from a small town that o would normally praise that the small town stores normally give excellent customer service. So anyone looking for those building materials etc just stick to the canadain tire around the corner

I’ve been in a few times and they were very helpful. I went in today to spend $130 and as walked in a young sales assistant told me enthusiastically I had to have my reusable bag at the checkout.! I assume they were pre-accusing me of being a thief which doesn’t leave a great taste in the mouth. Never had any store do this before and not sure why I was humiliated at the entrance when I was happy to support a local store. Will not be going back.

The guy in charge of closing the store at this store location on August 26, 2025 at 7:54pm, should be retrained in customer service. I approached to enter the store at 7:54pm and he could not let me in because he felt I was too late and the store was closing in 5mins. I have gone to other stores like Walmart and just a minute before closing and they have let me in. I am very disappointed by this treatment. I have had very pleasant experience shopping at this store in the past and really treated well by other customer associates, but this fella's understanding of good customer service leaves much to be desired.

We used this company for our son's wedding and Abdul, the owner, was nothing short of professional, patient, understanding and accomodating. He went out of his way to oversee a dream set up for our son's wedding. He pulled out all the stops and ended up with a stunning and gorgeous display! All our guests were mesmerized by the beautiful decor. Superior's servie was spot-on and Abdul knew exactly what we were looking for and what would work with the hall that we rented. My Grade 12 business leadership class hosted a business banquet at our school and Ahmed generously lent us 220 light blue satin napkins to use for free for the night! Ahmed was professional, patient, easy to coordinate pick up and drop off with, and was a pleasure to work with. The napkins were good quality and a lovely colour as well. I will definitely be coming back to Talk of the Table for any of my future event planning needs!

Ahmed was great to work with answered all my many questions and was patient and professional. His chair covers were the cherry topping to the overall look of our event. (A Baby Shower Before Christmas) Ahmed was Very professional! Would highly recommend and will definitely be using his services again!

We had a great experience with Talk of the Table for our pre-wedding event in June 2024! Ahmed communicated mostly with our wedding planner, and she had a great experience with them. The process was seamless and the quality of the linens and napkins were great.

I'm absolutely mortified of how disgusting the chair covers were rented out for my bestfriends wedding. All of them are filthy and some even had holes in them. They aren't even all the same covers. How as a business is this acceptable? I don't reccomend using the services here.

Ahmed was very helpful from beginning to end! I was stressed out as it was trying to plan an event and attempted to make my own Linens thinking the DIY project would be more affordable and less of a hassle. Turns out getting the right amount of fabric and the costs, plus labor was not the right option. Talk Of The Table has affordable prices, an array of options available to view online. I emailed for availability and pricing and got all my emails/responses handled in one day. Ahmed was accommodating and very helpful. Their hours of operation were only on weekdays and during working hours which was hard for me as I work a typical 9 to 5 and needed the Linens for a Sunday. They accommodated for me to be able to pick up my Linens early Friday morning before work and drop the off on the following Monday. The Linens were a perfect little needed touch for the event and pick up and drop off were easy as well.

This was such a wonderful experience—I’ve already told everyone who would listen about it! It’s the perfect option for women who need multiple dresses for a wedding season. The staff are kind yet give you space to browse on your own, which I really appreciated. The selection of colors, styles, and options feels endless. The fitting rooms are spacious with long mirrors, and there’s comfortable seating for anyone you bring along. The space itself is beautiful, and with amazing coffee shops nearby, it makes for the perfect “successful dress-finding day” outing.

I had an amazing experience with the Fitzroy! I flew to Toronto to attend a formal wedding at a beautiful estate venue, and knew I wanted to try renting a dress here after having followed their Instagram for a few months. I tried on a number of dresses 2 days before I was set to pick up my rental, and every employee was so nice, thoughtful, and helpful (despite accidentally keeping them a few minhtes past close)! I fell in love with 2 options and kept flip flopping between them. The employees let me know that I could choose one but have the other also on my file in case I decided to change. I emailed and changed to my backup option 1 day before pick up, and that wasn't a problem. On the day of pick up, I goggles what formal wedding attire is and the venue of the wedding, and realized my initial choice was the far better option. I called them a few hours before pickup to see if I could change back, and it was not a problem at all. They just did not have the 48 hours to do a full dry clean, but they did get to doing some cleaning before I picked it up. Everyone was so kind, understanding, and eager to help. I promised them a good Google review upon pick up, so I'm finally doing that! I felt like such a pretty princess, this was definitely such a worth it experience. Thank you thank you THANK YOU the Fitzroy team for all that you did for me! Next time I'm in Toronto for an event, I am definitely coming back. 🥰

I've been going to The Fitzroy for all my dress rentals for YEARS and it honestly just gets better and better. Their new studio is an absolute dream! Most recently, I rented my bridal shower dress which was VERY comfortable and stretchy - I had to size down from a large to a medium, but it was still roomy enough that I could've gone down to a small. I stuck with a medium because I'm larger in the bottom half. I got so many compliments after wearing the dress to my bridal shower this past weekend, especially with the low back. I wish I had another occasion to wear the dress to, it's that good.

I've also included some photos of my fave rentals over the past years! The Fitzroy does a great job of keeping their collection of dresses very current, so some of these dresses may not longer be available to rent. They also have accessory rentals too! And if you don't want to make the drive to return your dress, they have an option to return your dress for a small fee via mail.

Rented the most gorgeous pink sequin dress from The Fitzroy for a wedding and I’m still not over it! The sparkle, the fit…all chef’s kiss. I felt like a total star all night and got so many compliments, I lost count. The rental process was smooth and the service was amazing! All the ladies at the Fitzroy were and made the process stress-free (even though I went in the morning of the wedding…very last minute but still came out with this gem!). This dress made me feel unstoppable. Highly recommend if you want to turn heads and feel fabulous!

Fitzroy messaged me a few months ago and asked me how my rental was. I can't say enough wonderful things , from the service my friend and I received, to the girls that work there, and the dress itself. I was the maid of honour at my best friend's wedding, and this romper exceeded everything I could have imagined. I couldn't stop pulling out my party tricks of the night. Which included: the surprise that wasn't a dress and it had POCKETS! The pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy

Can’t recommend Vision enough for rentals! We chose them for our wedding when they were quick, professional, and friendly during the initial booking process. In the lead up to our wedding, they were responsive and flexible, offering advice when needed and adjusting our rentals when requested. The delivery and pick up of the items was smooth and efficient, while the rentals themselves were of extremely high quality. Not a single napkin or white tablecloth had an imperfection, and everything we rented, from glassware to tables and chairs, was in excellent condition. The cherry on top is that their prices are competitive and felt affordable considering everything we ordered and the kindness of staff throughout.

It was absolutely amazing to work with Vision Event Rentals for my August 2023 wedding. I rented an assortment of decorations (table centrepiece decorations, fairy lights, drink dispensers, lawn games, etc.) and Vision Event Rentals delivered everything to my venue the day before the wedding. They also did a beautiful job draping material and fairy lights in our event tent, and I also loved the arch I rented from them (which they also assembled for me). Emilie and Stephanie were pleasures to work and communicate with, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to rent items for an upcoming wedding or event. Plus, their prices are super reasonable!

We rented chairs for our ceremony with delivery for our wedding. Extremely professional, called and they had great customer service, the delivery was so smooth and they came on time. We rented beautiful soft blush napkins and silver rimmed glass chargers for our daughter’s wedding yesterday. From the time we met Taylor at a wedding show to pick up, they have been great. Quality products - so many comments on the unique blush colour of the napkins and the rich look of the glass chargers. Don’t hesitate to rent from these guys - excellent service!

Mega City did the decor for our wedding this May and made our dreams come true. We had an initial consultation where we picked all the linens, center pieces, external decor, etc. Dorothy and Chris gave us a warm welcome every time we stopped by their office and assured us that we were in good hands. Agata was wonderful to work with, offered us advice when we couldn’t decide, and created a beautiful and intimate setting for our guests. They showed up exactly as the venue opened for vendors and were set up quickly and without any problems. Our venue had a strict timeline for take-down, they showed up immediately at 1:00am and had all the decor removed in under an hour. Fantastic to work with, would recommend them to our friends who get married in the future.

My experience has been awesome with Mega City there was a little hiccup with the original lady we met with for my daughter’s wedding but Savi was amazing took over without hesitation and made it all better . Savi was honestly so great took work with and quick to respond. The linens were absolutely beautiful ,they coordinated well with the wedding planners and delivered on time . On Friday, July 21st I got married to my best friend and soul mate at the Doctor's House in Kleinburg, Ontario. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, the decor was of the ut-most importance, even considering the fact I didn't have an unlimited budget. Susan Murray made all my dreams come true. She was patient, professional and kind, even when I changed my mind a few times and consulted her in her jaw-dropping showroom three times (maybe four)!!! Her linens, charger plates and decor are incredible and even the staff at The Doctor's House mentioned that when they see Susan's linens they are in awe. Susan also provided the florals. All I had to do was show her a picture and she re-created the look no questions asked. Take a look at the pictures to see how perfectly the bouquets matched the girl's dresses. When I saw the flowers I was floored. They were perfect and beautiful and I had never seen a more stunning wedding bouquet in my life, adorned with pearls. Susan Murray you brought my dream to life and you worked so thoughtfully within my budget. Any bride who is planning a wedding needs to visit Susan. She was the first vendor I consulted and I didn't have to look any further. I'm only sad now that the wedding is over. She created a dream-like atmosphere and in reflection it was so lovely it could've been a dream. Thank you Susan and her son Ryan for being so wonderful to work with. You two made all the difference.

I hired Susan to do the decor and centerpieces for my company's holiday party and she did not disappoint. Everything was exactly as we discussed and brought the evening together wonderfully.

We worked with Susan for linens and napkins for our wedding and we were so happy with the process and the products! No complaints whatsoever!

Working with Susan was easy and she is very knowledgeable and helpful. She made suggestions about different linens to accent our main table linens and they were perfect. She understood the style and "vibe" we were after instantly.

The products themselves were beautiful. We used the natural parchment linen for our tables for our reception which are stunning. We had the tan boulce napkins which were a lovely neutral accent colour and felt very high quality. We used the rustic glam linens for other tables such as a receiving table and signing table and they looked great. The price is very reasonable for the quality. I would highly recommend working with her and the team.

I would go back to Susan Murray International for future events without any hesitation and will be recommending her to friends!

Absolutely amazing! Breakfast was great, pool was a blast. Highly recommend if you have kids. Almost wish we didn’t have to leave.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a pretty good overall experience. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the room was clean with all the basic necessities provided. The bed was comfortable, which made for a restful stay.

We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub — a nice bonus! The hot breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. The hospitality team was very friendly and welcoming. We especially had some great interactions with Rose, Rodel, and Val — they really added a personal touch to our stay.

Great value for the price. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Customer service was excellent! Despite a very busy weekend, the front desk ladies went out of their way to accommodate us. Hotel was welcoming, friendly staff, free breakfast was great & very well stocked. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Will definitely be staying again the next time I am in the area

The staff was very accommodating with requests from our young family. Bonnie was able to confirm a room near the banquet room that allowed me and my wife to utilize our baby monitor while our little one slept, which kept us enjoying the event a little later into the evening. The breakfast in the morning after was also very good, much better than most continental breakfasts at similar hotels. Thank you!

We always stay here when driving from B.C. to my parents in Saskatchewan. It's clean, rooms are well appointed, the pool area is fab and the breakfast is plentiful...coffee is also delicious. This last time, we had a wonderful person check us in, he was accommodating, went beyond with customer service and gave us a 10 percent discount for our one night stay. Thank you. See you next Summer!

The linens I received from this company were leaching dye straight out of the package—a major issue for any event setup. I provided clear video evidence showing the dye transfer as I removed the linens directly from the manufacturer’s packaging. Despite this, the company continues to deny that there’s any problem.

Initially, they admitted there had been an error in their production run and apologized, but later contradicted themselves and claimed there was no issue at all. I had to take the linens home and wash them the night before our event, and they even turned the inside of my dryer blue.

This level of inconvenience and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Even with photo and video proof, the company refused to take responsibility. I do not recommend this company, especially to event professionals. They do not stand behind their products, and if there’s an issue, you’re on your own.

I came to this place to purchase napkins, table runners and charger plates. They have different varieties, and good price in comparison of Amazon.

Had a horrible experience with them. Some items were missing when they did the delivery on the wedding day, and we tried contacting them several times but couldn’t reach them by phone or email, which added unnecessary stress on top of an already stressful day. They were also late for the pick up after the wedding which caused us to be late for the pick up deadline imposed by the venue and resulted in extra charges for us...Overall, very bad customer service and unprofessional. I would not recommend at all. Had a way better experience with the other rental service we also used for the wedding.

We rented from Celebrations Group for our outdoor wedding in 2022. We needed to rent almost everything for the event and we were able to get all we needed through them and for cheaper!

Cindy was our point of contact and she was amazing! Out of all the companies we reached out to for quotes, she was the only one who invited us to their show room to go over all our options. She took the time to talk things over, made great suggestions to ensure we had all we needed and was extremely honest and solutions oriented while helping us to fit our budget!

I have worked with celebrations for over 10 years, and they always deliver above and beyond. They are quick on quotes, give great prices, are available for last-minute changes or concerns. As the owner of a PR agency, I regularly use them for media events and am always satisfied. A+++

The rental company in the Bow Valley was not able to provide the specific candelabra we wanted, so we are glad it worked out to rent from Modern Event Rentals. Macklynn very responsive and great to deal with via email. Cost-wise, the rental was comparable to other companies we looked at.

We used Element Event Solutions for my daughter's wedding. They are pros. Everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend Element Event Solutions.

Do not go with this company if you value your time. Today, staff arrived 25 minutes early, which left us scrambling to find someone to let them in. This afternoon, they are, as of yet, 40 minutes late for pick-up. There is no after hours number to call, so we have no way to figure out where on earth the staff went.

Update: Staff just finished picking up the 40ish tables. They arrived an hour and ten minutes late and finished 20 minutes after that. We eventually got a hold of the morning driver, who was no longer at work and he was able to get a truck sent to us.

Horrible service, damaged and dirty products, delivery drivers are very rude and done want to deliver heavy items past the doorstep. They want to charge seperate delivery fees for every item but its no one fault that they decided to buy out half the rental companies in the GTA and things are coming from multiple warehouses.

I did not actually use this company, so I cannot comment on their product, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
I filled out thier online quote and was informed that a representative would contact me for more information. I waited a week and no one called. I decided to call them and was told there was no record of my quote, so I placed the order over the phone. I gave my email address and was told to expect an email with billing information. No email arrived for several days. I called the company again this morning and explained what was going on. The woman who answered said she would transfer me to a sales rep. I got voicemail so I hung up and called back. It went straight to voicemail again. I decided to go with another company (which turned out to be much cheaper), so I called back to let them know I would not require their equipment. I was transferred to another random sales rep and it went to voicemail again. I left a message cancelling. A representative called me back within ten minutes of leaving the voicemail, apologizing and offering to send the bill, which I declined as I went with an alternative company.

I requested a last minute rental and was helped by Judy. Judy was very helpful in proving options that met my budget and short turnaround time, including by suggesting a pickup option that was well located for me. Just answered all of my questions promptly and did so in a very friendly, customer-focused way. The booking request experience was tailored to my needs and gives me great confidence in the end product!

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY
1. The booking process was smooth. Outside of pestering for details that they didnt even abide by (setup, alloted time for set up, arrival time etc).
2. Booked for my moms birthday 2 weeks in advance. I called to confirm if they set up and they lied and said yes it was set up hours before. I get to the venue, they had a 3hour window and never set up and finally came an hour into the event to set up when our guests were there!!!
3. When I called and emailed countless times during the chaos they NEVER responded. Sent me to voicemail.
4. Only giving 1 star because the set up crew were nice, evidently overworked and the floral wall was beautiful.
5. I will report this business because you evidently are a scam

I rented the Chiara full arch and half arch backdrop for my niece's birthday party and was extremely disappointed with this company for a few reasons and would not reccommend them to anyone.

1. Safety hazard- these arches are a safety hazard and should not be used inside or outside. The arches are heavy wood boards that are leaning against a single upright pole without any security. They almost fell on someone. Thankfully no one was hurt. We had to lean the arches against the fence for safety. Our event was outside but something similar could have easily happened if it was inside.

2. Late set up- I lost almost 3hrs of the time that I needed because of late delivery and setup. After all the calls of Eden telling me the driver was on his way and was delayed because of the "rain" she stopped answering to give any update. Eventually the driver called me when he was just leaving his place and said that he was 36 mins away and that he was now leaving. It was about 11:44am when I got that call. He didnt come until about 12:20. Set up was finished around 1:00pm.
I requested for set up to take place between 9am and 10 am. It was raining during this time so I requested that the arches be set up inside and was told ober the phone that will be ok.

3. Inaccurate description- i requested a full arch that was supposed to be 6.5ft and a half arch that was supposed to be 5ft. I didn't measure the arches but clearly this description does not make sense. The half arch was much taller than the full arch.

Overall I do not reccommend.

I am absolutely stunned by the terrible service provided by your company. My wife and I ordered a floral arch for our wedding day. Upon your employee coming to “set up” the arch, it was not set up correctly. Once it was “set up” at the agreed time, my wife and her bridesmaids went to go see it outside, and it was crumbled on the ground (see attached photo). My mother in law called you guys to come back and set it back up properly, but was informed it would be an extra $200 to come back and fix it.

How is this possible when it wasn’t even set up properly to begin with? There were no stakes, no sandbags, nothing to keep it in place from toppling over. My groomsmen, my grandpa, my florist AND my two photographers all offered to help to set it up so it wouldn’t fall over again. The employee or whoever he was, refused to come back since he was in Toronto. My groomsmen had to go grab ROCKS in their suits and set it up so it wouldn’t fall over again (see attached photo). Not to mention this was an hour before my wedding. Awesome service. Even my photographers went and purchased stakes and sandbags to help us out. They took their own time and money to help us.

This is so unacceptable, we cannot believe this happened from a company that had so many good reviews. This seems like a total scam after we’ve payed over $400 to have this arch at our wedding. Trying to charge us an extra $200 to fix it, when that wouldn’t be necessary if the employee set it up correctly in the first place.

STAY AWAY. TOTAL SCAM.

I was in the market for a new premium sheet set with duvet cover and had read good things about Au Lit online.
I ended up getting the 220 percale weave in charcoal on a sale and the order ended up totalling just shy of 600 CAD after all discounts.
When I first got these sheets out of the packaging, I was shocked.
They felt stiff and borderline scratchy, but I figured a wash would soften the sheets up.
Despite following all of the included directions, the sheets after washing felt the exact same as they did out of the packaging.

I then reached out to Au Lit customer support.
I was told that these sheets need to "break in" compared to other sheets.
Figuring I would trust the process, I slept on these sheets for weeks.
After 2 more washes it was clear to me that nothing was breaking in at all as the sheets still felt exactly as they did out of the packaging.
During the 2 weeks however, I probably slept worse than I have in years.

Over the years, I have had many different types and styles of cotton sheets with different weaves and thread counts.
I can easily say without hyperbole, that even some of the cheapest sheets I have ever purchased have been more soft/comfortable than the sheets I received.
I actually went around my home to feel different textiles to compare against.
The curtains in my bedroom are literally softer then these sheets.
Every single shirt I own is softer.
The only textile in my entire home that was comparable was my SHOWER CURTAIN.
If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does.

I eventually noticed a DEFECT after placing the sheets on my bed after the 3rd wash.
At this point I was livid, not only was the worst bedding I was ever owned, it was also defective and EXORBITANTLY expensive.
And that was even after discounts!
The only thing that saved this from a 1 star review is that my order was promptly refunded.
I ended up taking all the bedding an donating it to my local shelter.

To be fair I can only speak to the quality of the 220 count percale weave, but based on how abysmal the quality of this product is, I would stay FAR AWAY from ALL Au Lit products.

Highly recommend, 10/10. I bought the Mini-Waffle Piqué duvet cover and shams in white and I’m in love. You can really tell how remarkable the quality of those linens are. This shop carries exquisite linens, but I haven’t always enjoyed shopping in person here—the staff often came across as cool and disinterested. So when I visited the other day, for the first time since before COVID, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a wonderful experience. Patricia was warm and knowledgeable; she took just enough time to show me a few pieces she thought I might like, then gave me plenty of space to browse, while remaining available for any questions. From the minute I approached the front doors at the Tycos location, I knew I was in for a very luxurious experience. It was absolutely fabulous. I just blown away by the size of this store. It's beauty, the displays, the staff, all fantastic. You definitely won't be disappointed. I love that you can browse at your leisure. There's even a place for bored husbands to sit.
