Went to The Carlu to attend an event. Easily accessible from TTC College Subway station without exiting out of the building. I was impressed with the architecture of the building and its history. A grand venue with lots of rooms and conference hall. We went to attend a corporate event. Had a great lunch served by their catering team. As I was chatting with the local staff, they mentioned it’s was opened in 1930 and subsequently underwent renovation in early 2000s. Glad they maintained this heritage art deco historic landmark. I even liked the round room and the ceiling design was amazing.

Today Carlu is a grand event venue located in College and Yonge in downtown Toronto.

But if u ask me why visit this place...here are the facts why:

1) This is a Toronto landmark that was visited by the best of the yesteryears ⭐ stars like Frank Sinatra.

2)Designed by famous French architect Jacques Carlu and opened in 1930

3)Was once home to Eaton’s famed concert hall.

4) Was abandoned for years, and fell into disrepair for decades. Government stayed the demolition.But the place was without tenant.

5) Finally it was restored to it's prior glory in 2003.
7) Visit to explore the beautiful Art Moderne architecture which is stunning clean lines, bold details of gold ,silver and crystal.

8)Check out the Round Room: This is known for its perfect acoustics. But apart from that chk the crystal fountain there along with the original murals all around the room painted by Carlu's wife.

9) This place is now managed and owned by Oliver and bonacini.

9) To see Toronto's glory days from 1900s visit this restored space and appreciate the grandeur and the classic designs from yesteryears.

The Carlu is a Toronto landmark with some serious history. Originally opened in 1930, it was designed by French architect Jacques Carlu and was once home to Eaton’s swanky concert hall. After sitting abandoned for years, it was beautifully restored in the early 2000s, and you can still feel that old-school elegance today.

The Art Deco design is stunning clean lines, bold details, and that iconic Round Room with its perfect acoustics. If you appreciate historic spaces with character, this place is worth seeing. It’s one of the best preserved examples of 1930s architecture in the city and a great spot for anyone who loves classic design.

I attended an event at The Carlu and thought the venue was really nice. I didn’t expect it to handle so many people, but it did very well. The equipment used was great, making everything run smoothly.

The catering was also good, though I’m not sure if it was provided by the venue or someone else. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend The Carlu for big events.

I recently attended a tech event at The Carlu, and I was impressed by the spaciousness of the venue. It provided ample room for the event, allowing attendees to move around comfortably. Beautiful event centre located among natural environment near/by the Scarborough bluffs. I have been her for weddings and high school prom ( as chaperone) and I have never been disappointed. Well kept grounds with lunch greenery and even beautiful architecture for the perfect picturesque background. The food they serve is very delicious and hits the spot every time. Kudos to the chef and other staff. The actual event centre is in good shape and is clean and modern. You can definitely have an unforgettable evening at the Guild Inn. The ample free parking is an added touch

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Guild Inn, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we toured the venue, we were captivated by its stunning interior—elegant, modern, and timeless. The blend of classic architecture with contemporary finishes creates an incredibly romantic atmosphere, perfect for a wedding.

What truly set The Guild Inn apart was the exceptional staff, especially our Events Details Manager, Teja. From the very beginning, Teja was incredibly helpful, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. Her organization, calm demeanor, and genuine care made a world of difference. She guided us every step of the way and ensured everything came together seamlessly.

On the day of the wedding, everything was flawlessly prepared. The setup was beautiful, the timing was smooth, and the entire event flowed effortlessly. It was clear that the staff had thought of every detail in advance, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment.

We can’t thank The Guild Inn and Teja enough for making our wedding day so special. If you’re looking for a venue that combines beautiful design, a caring and capable team, and a truly unforgettable experience, this is the place.

Large venue for hosting events located next to the lake/bluffs. Surprisingly not too busy with free parking. Tough to get a photograph with the monuments on weekends as there are many weddings happening. Venue is clean with many washroom facilities.

We just had our wedding at The Guild (Bickford House) last week, and it was everything we could have ever imagined. From our initial visits and conversations to the final cleanup and heading home, the entire team was incredibly supportive.

Rebecca, our sales manager (and also our details manager!), was our lucky charm. She was a steady, kind, and calming presence throughout the entire planning process—always responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping us create the day we had always imagined. From the very beginning, we knew we were in good hands. While the tent outside the Bickford House was definitely a big draw when we were venue shopping, it was truly Rebecca’s warmth and energy that made us feel confident we had found the perfect place.

Silvana, our banquet manager, and her team were equally wonderful. Her calm and collected presence made the hours leading up to the event feel smooth and stress-free—everything ran perfectly, if not better than planned. During the celebration, her staff made sure we were well taken care of (at one point, they were literally following me around with food to make sure I ate!). Our personal server, Avi, was always attentive and helpful, and he never stopped smiling. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the incredible service, the warmth of the staff, and—of course—the incredible and bountiful food prepared by the Guild.

We also opted to have our ceremony at the Gazebo, which allowed for a natural and easy flow into the rest of the day’s events. With all the natural light and surrounding greenery, the space felt magical—our guests and photographers absolutely loved it.

Without a doubt, I would recommend the Guild Inn to anyone planning a wedding or special event. We chose the Bickford House for our smaller guest count (~40 people), and it was the perfect choice—cozy, intimate, and still spacious enough for everyone to dance the night away. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful the day was, and of course, the incredible and bountiful food prepared by the Guild’s team. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day.

The venue itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and the rental pieces provided – linens, faux florals, and table settings – added a touch of magic to the space. We felt like royalty on our special day!

Although the venue was beautiful at first, the support and behavior of the staff was certainly unprofessional to say the least. As independent business owners and event organizers, we had originally decided on this venue based on good reviews and past experiences at other events at this location. However, once we began the planning process for our own event in booking this venue, there was a clear lack of communication and professional conduct overall.

To begin, we were not offered any kind of contract prior to paying for the venue. Essential information, such as liability guidelines and physical resources available to us as renters of the venue were not clearly outlined. The process of renting this venue was extremely disorganized. The venue did not communicate any rules to us about what was permitted for us to do with the space, which led to multiple emails being sent back and forth and resulted in delayed or convoluted communications.

After we had paid for the venue at a set date and time, another event organizer alerted us that they had booked the same venue on the same day. Once we brought this conflict up to the venue coordinator, he was made aware that he had double booked the date, perhaps due to the fact that the booking process was disorganized and unstructured. After admitting that he did not write our event down in the calendar and that it was his mistake, he then told us that the other event would have priority over us, even though the other organizers booked the venue nearly 3 months after us. We were offered alternative dates for our event, which were inconvenient for us. On our end, we were forced to resolve this booking issue with the other event coordinator on our own terms, which was eventually resolved with no further help or input from the venue coordinator.

When booking this venue, we were told that the concession/bar area would be included. We DO NOT recommend using said area. Once the bar counter was rolled out of the area, bugs were found crawling both on the floor and on the counters. In addition to this, the area was extremely dirty and sticky. After a 2-hour deep cleaning session, there were still significant amounts of grime and bugs in the vicinity of the bar, where food was to be served. We were forced to not use this area, due to health and safety concerns.

We were told that the venue coordinator would not be available for certain periods of time during the set-up day for personal reasons. We were understanding and told them that that was completely alright. However, personal information was then shared with us voluntarily and unpromptedly as to why he would be unavailable (which was of a very sensitive nature). This conversation and exchange of information was extremely unprofessional, as renters of a venue communicating with the venue coordinator in a formal way.

On the day of the event, the event coordinator spoke to an underage volunteer in a rude and demeaning way on multiple occasions. As the coordinators of the event, we did not appreciate our young volunteer being talked to in this way.

Additionally, we were using painter’s tape on the ground to help with line management prior to the event. The venue coordinator approached one of the event organizers to address it, and expressed that he felt like the organizers were disrespecting him. While we were trying our best to uphold professionalism and be respectful of the space, we did not know that there were any rules regarding the use of tape in the venue as there was no communication of this rule, and no contract to refer to, as mentioned earlier. The tone of voice and body language used during this conversation was argumentative and not professional in any way.

In regards to the tables that were provided with the venue space, a vast majority of them were broken, would not lock properly and kept collapsing. We would not recommend using them for safety reasons.

a beautiful gem within calgary, the owners of this venue were amazing to work with. they were so accommodating in our unfortunate situation. they made our wedding amazing and i can’t thank them enough for their generosity.

I attend a weekly yoga class at the Brentwood Lifestyle Centre. Wildflower Yoga is very welcoming and Brentwood Lifestyle Centre is a good community based gathering place.

I got married here in July 2022! It was a great experience. The family that runs this building truly does care about you and your experience. At one point, I forgot a part of my speech and he printed it out for us mid-event. My guests really enjoyed the beautiful interior and the fact that there was an outdoor area (this was such a plus). We brought lawn games and people sat at the picnic tables to enjoy a break from all the dancing. The parking is great and the building is accessible. The c-train station was right there which made getting home very easy for my guests. The owners bartended the event and were friendly, kind, and accommodating to all our guests. There was a bridal suite you could inquire about which made getting ready a dream. We even hired a piano player to play the grand piano on stage. If you're looking or an in-Calgary location that has character, charm, and a local family that really cares you should for sure tour this venue.

After getting married in the mountains, we hosted a catered dinner and cocktail party with a DJ at the Village Event Centre to celebrate afterwards. Jordan was great to deal with throughout the process! He is very easy going and so friendly. He was accommodating and flexible with our event as well. It was great to deal with a family business that we could trust.

Amazing cocktail reception with sushi, lamb chops, Mexican taco bar, salmon burgers, duck, shrimp! Signature cocktails! Service was over the top and the old world setting with modern touches was beautiful.

I had the pleasure of attending the 40th Anniversary Gala of the 2025 Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant at Le Windsor Ballrooms, and the entire evening felt like a fairytale.
From the moment I walked through the Peacock Alley, I was teleported into a world of elegance. The towering ceilings, rows of glittering crystal chandeliers, and the historic fireplace made the space feel grand and luxurious. It’s the kind of place that immediately impresses you and sets the tone for a memorable night.

The event was held in the Salon Windsor, and I was blown away by the room’s beauty. The tall gilded ceilings, mirrored French doors, and ornate chandeliers gave the entire evening a regal touch. It felt like I was at a royal ball!!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting Cathy Leung-Rosnuk, Miss Chinese Montreal 1987, and her daughter Tyra Rosnuk, Miss Chinese Montreal 2021. They were both so friendly and charming. It was my first time meeting pageants in person, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to such a glamorous world. The experience of attending this event and seeing these incredible women was amazing.

Le Windsor Ballrooms exceeded all expectations. The venue, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe of the night were truly unforgettable. I had a wonderful time.☺️

I heard this place used to be a bank, and it really has a wonderful sense of history! I absolutely love the ambiance, with the old vaults and safes, plus the vintage elevator. The view from the second floor is breathtaking! If you're considering a venue for formal meetings or events, I highly recommend it. The staff are professional and the setting is truly unique.

We had our wedding at the banquet hall and it was a perfect venue for our ceremony and reception. The hall is gorgeous, beautifully maintained and had everything we needed, including tables, chairs, and linens, fully equipped kitchen for our caterers, and full bar service. It was incredible to work with Jason and his team throughout the entire process. He was so helpful and responsive, answered all of our questions and accommodated our many requests! I highly recommend the banquet hall for any event!

Went for the Medieval Masquerade! It's a beautiful place and i really loved the chandelier! The bathrooms are super fancy too! I super enjoyed it!

We had our wedding at allsaints a few weeks ago and it was a truly magical experience! We booked very far in advance and they were always responsive to our emails and in helping us plan. Tianna was absolutely amazing to work with - she checked in with us multiple times the day of and truly made us feel cared about. The food and drinks were also phenomenal with multiple family members taking fresh bread home. Thank you again for the wonderful experience!

We had our wedding at allsaints in May of 2025. It was a fantastic experience. Tiana and the rest of the staff worked diligently and were very supportive to ensure the day went well. Everything was so easy with them. The guests loved the food and the comfortable space. Thank you!

Overall wedding experience was good at All Saints. It is a beautiful venue, that we were able to decorate ourselves the night before (downside was we only knew we could till a few days before the wedding).
However, there are many things that were negative. Communication with the staff was poor, due to having to wait almost a month for responses to emails. Also we were changed several times who our primary contact was.
On the day off my guests had complaints about coffee not being refilled, their drinks being taken away from the table and a very long wait in between the first and second course.

I hosted my sister's bridal shower in the Chapel last week and it was phenomenal!! From the food, to the aesthetic, to the service - everything was perfect. The planning process was very smooth and I was able to do everything from a distance (over the phone and via email). I would highly recommend booking your small, intimate events at allsaints events space!!!

Went for their Tea in the Tropics event. Food was good, but not a lot for the price. It is in Carp, so the water tastes a little different.

Venue is nice with all of the plants, but not as tropical or lush as expected. The event information talked of "tumbling waterfalls" but we only saw the small one. Still nice, but adjust your expectations. All the workers were friendly and helpful.

I photographed a beautiful intimate wedding back in April at Aquatopia and it was stunning! The atmosphere was breath taking and so unique for this area, the staff went above and beyond for the couple and their guests... also helping me out if I needed anything.

You do have to understand the expectations when booking Aquatopia for your event, that it is warm in the venue as it is a greenhouse, so thats to keep in mind if you would prefer a venue with air conditioning but I still HIGHLY recommend the venue!

Wedding planning and organizing is extremely stressful, however Aquatopia and their staff are absolutely amazing. They make everything come together. The food portions were huge. They are all so kind and helpful. They go through everything with you step by step. I just had my wedding here with 80 people, our coordinator - Kayde was absolutely amazing. There was not one issue, not one mistake. Everyone that went even quoted about how amazing the atmosphere, the food, the decor. Our wedding coordinator Kayde also helped us with finding anyone we needed, they did all the decorating, and clean up. Never had to lift a finger. Great pricing. Highly recommend if you are planning on getting married - this is the dream.
And ask for Kayde to be your coordinator!

Bridgeland Riverside is truly one of the hidden gems of the city. Nestled along the river, this neighborhood offers a perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty. The area is incredibly walkable, with tree-lined streets, charming houses, and plenty of green spaces.

Was here at a night market. Lots of interesting vendors and food. It looks like a great and active community association too.

Interesting place. Long narrow structure with another space upstairs. Outside is family friendly with green spaces, playground, and a friendly guy selling hot dogs.

Fantastic sense of community, easy acces. Nice mix of dwellings and population age. And they have Little Super Dangerous play on occasion!

Vibrant community with lots of events and options for adults and kids. The market thats happens at the assiciation on Thursdays is super nice with great options.

We recently stayed at the Brookstreet Hotel for our second time. The hotel itself itself is clean and the rooms are spacious. My kids loved the variety with the pools, and we all enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub immensely. It's no wonder it's so popular in the summer - the outdoor pool is fantastic! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lack of coffee/tea available in the lobby. Our family wakes up early, so we had to wait hours for the cafe to open. The woman who worked the opening shift at the cafe was fantastic though - really went above and beyond. Checking in/out was smooth!

Awesome spot! The cafe and restaurant are amazing. The rooms are comfy and clean. I really loved their breakfast menu. The restaurant has live music sometimes. The front desk staff was okay, not super friendly or helpful. I had a great stay, but I didn't feel very welcome at check-in or check-out.

We recently had our wedding at Brookstreet Hotel. Amazing experience working with their team. We had a lunch wedding and appreciated how flexible they were to work with us on doing something less traditional. We particularly want to shout out Jenna who was very responsive and helpful. The whole banquet team was very attentive and easy to work with. We received so many positive comments on the food. It was delicious! We took advantage of the golf course for some extra family/friends time and rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding. We also enjoyed dinner at the Jazz Lounge and complimentary breakfast the day after the wedding. We even got couple massages at the spa the next day. All around great experience and would definitely recommend. Thanks again!

Been to the brookstreet a few times and everything is always amazing. Stayed here for the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding and the rooms are gorgeous. We had a beautiful balcony room and service was excellent. Also went here for a day trip to go to the spa and pool. Such an amazing experience at the spa both times I went and the pool is excellent. The food at the restaurant is also really good and they have great cocktails.

We had a 3-night 'forced' stay-cation as our AC died and the brutal heat took us here while we waited. We had a Junior Suite and we were indeed very comfortable. It's a really nice room, lots of space, separate bedroom, well laid out, comfy bed and good amenities.

We stayed in the hotel the entire time as we really had no need to go elsewhere. You have all you need here: Great restaurants, cafe, room service, spa, indoor and outdoor pools etc. It really is a very nice, comfy and professionally run hotel and the price for our suite was surprisingly low compared to other hotels of this calibre. We'd come back in a minute!

We've used Crescent Heights Community Association multiple times for our events, and every experience has been wonderful! The communication is always clear and easy, and the space is perfect for our needs. Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a welcoming and well-organized community space!

I booked a viewing of the space for February 20 at 830am. It was confirmed in writing via email. I showed up at 8:15 and waited until 9am. No one showed up. I called three times, but it went straight to a voicemail. Sent multiple email messages as well to which I still have not received any response too (it’s now Friday morning). Zero communication as to what happened on top of me sitting there for 45 minutes waiting for Paul. Appears to be a beautiful venue, but the communication is horrible. Definitely would make me nervous to actually book my wedding here. What if I can’t get in touch with anyone to access the space ON my wedding day?! Currently, I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

The community hall is not big enough for a big event but good enough for a relatively small event. The washroom is also small and very compact. However, it's got an ample parking lot. Depending on the event and table arrangements, occupancy can be between 50 - 75 people.

Neat little place, probably the liveliest market I've been to. The whole space was buzzing with a great assortment of vendors - clothing, food, jewelry, art of many forms. I am never in this part of town but my visit here was delightful.

Visited for our anniversary dinner. We made our reservation a couple of days ahead of the actual date, so we could check-out the live jazz on the patio. Overall, a great experience. The food was excellent. The service was great. Because the restaurant was busy, there were some lags in service times, but not too bad. The live music was a bonus. We shared an appetizer and each had different mains. The quality of the food was excellent. Would highly recommend Deane House.

Such a beautiful and classic place! We had one of the private dining rooms for our party and it was beautifully decorated and had a nice library with classic vibes. The server was very nice and attending and greeted us warmly with refreshing drinks. We had a three course meal and they were all amazing. I specially loved the chocolate cherry dessert.

Loved the set up, lots of people though very noisy. Which is fine but I could barely hear my aunt from across the table. We went for afternoon tea, cost about $130 not including gst and tip. The tea was good, the scones were warm and very tasty. The clotted cream was good and the peach jam was phenomenal. The tray consisted of a lot of different foods. My favourites were the sandwich, curry pie, raspberry tart, and ginger and rhubarb tart. The food was either very bland or extremely salty? Especially the salt! My aunt hardly touched most of the food and I tried to but I was drinking tons of water after each bite. You think they'd try their food before serving it. Very disappointing at the price you pay. I mean everything was salty even the cheesecake. Was a once in a lifetime experience, 100% could've been better. The people who served us were lovely and everyone was kind. Just disappointed in the food.

We have been to The Deane House a few times, this was our second time enjoying the Chef's Tasting Menu. Absolutely divine from start to finish, especially considering I have an egg allergy! Our server Liam was so welcoming and took great care of us. He ensured the Tasting menu would be an option, given my allergy, by clarifying with Chef John Beddoes. Thank you so much for making sure I had the most delicious dinner! Erin was also a lovely part of our evening, thank you for everything!

We were served by Liam and were surprised by a birthday card signed by the entire crew on arrival.

We especially loved the mussels (the birthday girl actually wanted seconds but I didn’t allow her to), the scallops and asparagus were also wonderfully prepared.

We finish it off with the steak and pork chop as our main. We enjoyed the nice atmosphere during the evening.

TIP: The main entrance is facing the Main Street and one must pass through the garden to get there. See video if you are not sure which building it is!

I love love love this place, and am so happy we had our wedding here! We got married one week ago at the Enoch Turner School and truly had the best day ever. Its charm in my opinion means less is more. We added a big disco ball in the middle of the room and smaller vases throughout windowsills and in tables. But the place was gorgeous and not lacking!

Stacey was extremely helpful the month leading up to the event, and I cannot be more thankful!

My only caveat was that I was unaware that the person I was communicating with was not going to be there day of until about two- three weeks before. We didn’t have a planner, but I’m super type A so it wasn’t the biggest deal, just would have liked to know sooner!

As a wedding photographer, I'm always excited to shoot at the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse. I love the minimal look with the historical character. The property shared with church next door is great for your wedding photos. If you want more options the Distillery District, Corktown Commons and SOL Atelier Photo Studio are nearby. The staff is super friendly and hard working. Definitely recommend!

Visited for Doors Open Toronto 2025 and it was a beautiful space! Loved learning about the first school in Toronto.

Very affordable wedding venue! Ben who was on site for rehearsal and ceremony was great to work with. Roxann, great email communication and was lovely meeting her on the day as well! They have two easels for use, little chalkboards for small signs, and the schoolroom was perfect for a bridal suite - hair & make-up had no problems with their setup and there are four available electrical outlets in the schoolroom. With the main room close to 150 people, it does get hot in the summer.

You lost us when we arrived at 815pm and told valet is full. Have never stayed at a hotel where valet is full. No one helped us with luggage. Took 30 minutes to park and get back to hotel. Room 366 - room is small and bathroom is tiny. No water pressure in shower. Morning breakfast in gold level excellent. Hotel - great location. We get with an old hotel there is only so much you can do with rooms / bathrooms. But the poor service in valet and check in should be an easy win. Housekeeping excellent. Service within Gold excellent.Shouldn’t have to hike across the city the next morning to get valet - and even then had to wait 15 minutes to see if valet was now available.

We were in awe of the facility, but the people made the stay. They were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The room was nice and my key requirements of a good shower and bed were met. I would have liked having a refrigerator and drawers for clothing; however, we were supplied with two luggage racks and robes. The room was very quiet. All and all, we would definitely stay again. Ottawa is a beautiful place to visit.

First time staying at this location and will likely be the last. Service was good and everyone was friendly. Location is nice but parking is an issue. The value for the cost is 0/5 ⭐️
The room was musty, no mini fridge, no bathroom fan and the ice machine on our floor was out of service for two days.
I’m sure there are many other nicer hotels for half the cost.

I stayed at the Château Laurier while in Ottawa for a Rolex appointment inside their jewlery store in the hotel, and at first I was very impressed. The property is beautiful, and during my stay I spent thousands of dollars, including meals at their restaurant. In 2 days Unfortunately, the way I was treated afterwards completely ruined my opinion.

Because my credit card was being replaced we did a balance transfer to a travel visa, I had a small $80 balance remaining. I explained this clearly, reassured them I would pay as soon as my new card arrived, and even offered alternative methods like debit payment, e-transfer or a certified cheque. Despite this, I received repeated and pressing messages with shifting “expiry dates” to settle the account.

For a guest who traveled for a luxury appointment in their hotel and spent generously during my stay, being treated with suspicion and essentially harassed over such a small balance was extremely disappointing. Instead of being met with trust and understanding, I was made to feel like I was trying to avoid payment, which couldn’t be further from the truth.

It’s sad, because I had looked forward to staying here again for future visits to Ottawa. But after this experience, I won’t be returning. A hotel of this reputation should know how to treat loyal guests with respect, not suspicion.

I stayed at the Fairmont Château Laurier for two nights and really enjoyed my time there. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Ottawa, walking distance to Parliament Hill, museums, and lots of shopping. The hotel itself is full of history, which makes the experience feel unique.

My room was clean but on the smaller side, which reflects the older, historic style of the hotel. Some rooms have amazing views of Parliament Hill, so it is worth asking about that. The overall ambiance feels luxurious and elegant.

The on-site bar and restaurant are lovely, though quite expensive, and the hotel also has a nice indoor saltwater pool. Parking is a challenge as valet service is very limited and was already full when we arrived, so the only option was to use nearby pay-as-you-go lots. There is also no airport shuttle service.

I did not feel that the staff went out of their way to make our stay feel special the way they have at other Fairmont locations, but overall I still enjoyed it. It is definitely on the pricey side depending on the time of year, but if you want history, luxury, and the best location for walking around Ottawa, it is hard to beat.

We like places with lots of history and this hotel fits the bill. Renovated interior with modern mood lighting in some places. Looks like a great location for a wedding but we only stayed for a few days for a vacation. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We often sat on the balcony overlooking Queen Street and watched the world go by while we ate breakfast. This place was fun, centrally located and interesting. We'll definitely head back there when we go back to Toronto!

Loved the gym and our corner room with lots of charm.
Receptionists were always super kind and helpful.

Came here for a wedding. Though I didn't stay in a room I did see one from someone who was staying. Very. Nice.

The outdoor patio area was so peaceful, despite being downtown it didn't feel loud at all. The food was pretty darn good (wish the portions were bigger!) especially for weddings.

The venue overall was cozy and intimate, very welcoming.

We stayed at The Gladstone for a week and it was delightful. All of the staff were extremely helpful and polite. We ate in the hotel restaurant most mornings and were often served by Jen, who was attentive and very friendly and able to give us recommendations for sightseeing, too. The room was very nice and the only issue really was the loud air-conditioner. I always travel with earplugs, though, so it wasn't a problem for me. There's a lot to see in this area and it's a pretty short rail car ride to St Lawrence Market et cet! There is plenty of local unique art displayed on all of the floors and in the rooms. The Hotel's interior design marries modern touches with its historic roots in a refreshing but familiar manner that makes for a beautiful combination. I'd recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone.

We had our wedding at the Gladstone; a number of our guests stayed at the hotel, and we stayed on the night of our wedding. The venue was nothing but attentive and professional. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the staff were extremely helpful and supportive. It is in one of our favourite neighbourhoods in Toronto, fairly accessible by car/transit, and close to all our favourite Queen West/Ossington restaurants. Would recommend to anyone as a wedding venue and a hotel stay!

I’ve been going to Greek fest since I was 3 years old. It’s changed so much over the years. I support my community and have told myself I’m going to get more involved next year. There were curtain things that were amazing about the old Greek fest. We need to bring back the rides for the children. The draw for a free trip to Greece was always a hit too. This year was hard because it was the first year back since COVID. But next year we go all out!!! We invited the theater so let’s give them a show!!!!

The annual Greek Festival is worth catching if you can. It usually runs for 10 days. The food is great and the entertainment is enjoyable.

Rented hall provided adequate screens for presentation and good audio. Facilities in good shape. Staff not intrusive but available.

Be careful with the food - check what others are eating and decide, some foods platters are not good at all.

Came here for a wedding last weekend and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. Tight, intimate space with a large dance floor. 100% recommend. The drive up to it on the race track was also a very cool experience.

One of the Best event venue in the heart of Montreal.

We just had our wedding this past weekend and all we can say is WOW. This venue is one of the most gorgeous in all of Montreal, from the lighting, to the indoor design, to the architecture and of course, the garden. We have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about our experience with the rental managers. All of our guests were blown away by the atmosphere. If you are considering this place as a rental for an event - do it. We will remember our special day for a lifetime, and it happened flawlessly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

There's a reason why this is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Montreal. It's so gorgeous, the setting is incredible - you feel like you're out in the country but through the trees you have this breathtaking view of the city. Parc Jean-Drapeau's staff are very attentive and helpful. It's well worth the cost to rent this space. It's unreal to think how many hundreds of thousands of people likely dined in that room during Expo 67, how many millions passed through the Canadian Pavilion, how many millions more walked around the site. It makes whatever event feel like a part of history. The Inuit art was striking and engaging too, and it created this remarkable contrast with the high modernism of the space which was 'linked' by the interior wood floors and finishings, and complemented by the natural settings outside. Old, new, antique, modern, rustic, urban - and all at the same time and in harmoney with one another. What could be more Montreal, Quebecois, and Canadian than that?

Horrible service and, more importantly, both parking attendents and their manager utterly lacking in empathy. Attended an event here and we had a guest in the party whose electric car needed a charge since nearest charger in the Casino was out of service and after driving around looking for charger they only had enough charge to drive 5 km. La Toundra refused to allow him to charge the car so it would not require a tow while being a guest at the event and told him that the charger is for employees only even though no employee was charging 10 pm two charger spots. And this was for a paying customer. At the end, this poor individual had his car towed as their battery ran out, their while two kids screamed in their baby seats, which lay on the side of the road while they waited for their cab at 10 pm. Quebec hospitality at its best.

I attended my friend’s wedding at Château Royal in Laval and was blown away. The venue is gorgeous, the ballroom elegant, and the atmosphere perfect for a celebration. The staff were attentive and professional, making sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend Château Royal for weddings or special events.

From the very beginning of planning our daughters Sweet 16 with Tina to the day of the event with Helene and Peter on-site, every little detail was expertly managed. On the day of the celebration, Helene was a tremendous help with our morning setup, while both her & Peter ensured we had everything we needed during our party. This was our first event at Chateau Royal, but certainly not our last! I just wish I had found Chateau Royal sooner!

The hall is nice, clean but hasn't had a revamp or renovations in years. Looks the same as it was in 2010. Other halls in Laval have invested more proactively. Aside that service is good food (varies per venue) was ok; could be improved.

My family hosted my baby shower at Chateau Royal last Sunday and I was beyond satisfied with this venue. The food (lunch buffet), room, and service were exceptional! I received many compliments from the guests regarding the service and buffet quality. I am so happy they decided to host the event there as it made the day even more memorable! Very nice and spacious venue. Everything is clean and the staff is very nice and efficient in their way of working. They don't seem to provide chairs and tables though, which is a bit of a bummer.

I was at Le Madison in April 2015. The place was incapable. Everything was great except we had to wait for a bit for the room to be accessible. I recommend this place for any event. Furthermore, there is plenty of parking space at the back of the building. Thanks to the staff for the service.
