I had a fantastic experience getting a haircut with Sydney today! She is so friendly and made me feel super comfortable. My hair was in desperate need of a refresh, but I am clueless about what works with my slightly wavy texture. Sydney worked with me to create one of the best haircuts I've ever had, and she even gave me styling tips. I will definitely be back!

I wanted to pass on my biggest shoutout and recommendation for Alicia at 1977.  Each time I’ve seen Alicia she has been so attentive to what I am hoping to accomplish with my hair while also looking out for my very sensitive scalp at the same time. She creates such a great experience.  After one specific appointment I had questions about the best after care for my hair and she went above and beyond on her own time to make sure I had everything that I needed.  It’s rare to find someone with that level of care for what they do, alongside incredible knowledge and skill for their craft!! Always a pleasure to be in such great hands with Alicia and 1977.

I had my first visit at 1977 Salon last week to see Colby for a cut and toner. Colby is a fantastic stylist and a lovely person. The cut, shape, and styling of my hair made me feel and look my best. The best haircut I've had in a long time.
The front desk staff were attentive and welcoming. The space is lovely.

My hair was all the way to my butt and had a lot of breakage, split ends and was very dry and brittle… it just needed the love it deserved after not being touched by a stylist in a few years. I’ve had such a horrible experience with salons in the past but decided to bite the bullet after finding 1977 on Google and reading through the website and reviews, scheduling my appointment with Karly.

My first note was the atmosphere, beautiful decor, very calm and inviting, I instantly felt relaxed and at ease. The receptionist welcomed me with a warm smile, offering a beverage as I waited. Very friendly and professional.

Karly was amazing right from the bat! She made me feel so much more excited with her energy and the way she introduced herself. Her scalp massages were next level and she was so thorough with making sure I left with exactly what I wanted. Although it was just a cut and style, she really paid attention to detail, explaining the process along the way while also making me feel like I was in the best hands. Her friendly demeanour, professionalism, talent and love for hair will definitely have me back in her chair in no time. I felt like more than just a client and that speaks volumes.

10/10 would recommend this salon. The way the staff interacts with one another and the clients, the calmness and positive energy and talent is just not worth missing out on. Plus, my hair hasn’t looked or felt this good in years. I was expecting to lose a lot of length but Karly is Houdini and wouldn’t allow it, I don’t know how she did it.. but she did! Great cut and style!!

Sean did a great job at my sister‘s wedding. We had good communication before the wedding. We had requested some Persian music which he was able to play well and on time. Thank you for your help Sean.

Highly recommended!! I was incredibly impressed with this company. I requested a quote online and was immediately contacted by Sean to answer my questions and provide a ton of useful information to help plan our wedding. We wanted to have live guitar for our ceremony and then a really fun DJ for the reception. Sean was able to satisfy all of these things, and went above and beyond with his ability to learn a song we requested on the guitar for me to walk down the aisle to. Gave me an extra pep in my step to hear him play our favorite song on such an important day! The music during our dinner was perfect, sound quality was great. He was really good at checking in to make sure everything was as we expected throughout the evening. Thank you Sean at 1st in Entertainment DJ for providing fantastic music at our school dance! The kids at Panorama Hills School (K-4) absolutely loved every minute of the dance - from the music, to the lights, and the fog machine - it was all top notch! We especially loved how Sean interacted with the kids, and let them use some of the equipment...they couldn't get enough of the fog! :)

Sean was extremely helpful when we were planning our event, and always replied to emails in a timely fashion. He was professional from start to finish.

Our outdoor event was on the coldest day of the year-- Sean came prepared for the elements-- he knew what he was doing and his setup of the audio system worked perfectly for the outdoors.

As a bonus, he brought lights and even a smoke machine! People of all ages attended the event loved the mix of music and enjoyed skating to all the tunes!!

Somehow you convinced yourself that there are no consequences to your actions. No price to pay, right Sean? However, the bill always comes due.

You know what you did and acknowledged it. I gave you time to make things right but haven't done so far. You lack respect, ethics and have shown questionable moral standards. One should be ashamed of themselves.

I get it things are tough, but that’s when you communicate with people, we’re not animals. But when you start ignoring someone you owe money, you get a reaction.

Keep the money, this review will remain. Let it serve as a warning for others to NOT do business with you period.

One of our community partners had worked with 2C Media on a few projects for our golf and hockey programs, and after seeing the finished products, we knew that they would be a great choice to work on a few important projects for us. Aidan and his crew were fantastic to work from start to finish. In our initial meeting, Aidan was able to help us nail down the concepts for both videos we wanted done, and his crew was flexible to accommodate some quick turnaround filming dates. They were patient with us as we sorted through edits, and made sure that we were happy through the entire process. Christie is so personable and just makes you feel so comfortable. I cannot imagine having a wedding without Christie. Her day of coordinator package still includes a lot that goes beyond the day of. Phone calls, emails, zoom calls - Christie was there to answer all my questions along the way. She joined the rehearsal dinner which was super super helpful and I’m so glad we get a chance to practice walking down the aisle, the order of things, and how to hold the bouquet etc. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and she took on a lot for me and a lot of behind the scenes work. She does extra things like making a schedule for the vendors and contacting vendors the week of to follow up. She gives you a schedule to follow months leading up the wedding so you stay on track. I’m not even sure how people manage without a coordinator to be honest. Also, included in her package is her assistant that helps her on the day of so it’s actually like having 2 coordinators! On my wedding day she went above and beyond. She even got there early to help my florist set up the flowers on the ceremony arch way, which took quite a bit of time. It was really hot on our wedding day and she frequently checked in with us during pictures. Bringing us water, spritzing us with cool water, and offering us electrolyte water (I managed to stay hydrated even with the alcohol that night lol). Christie is a really special person and I’m so glad I had her as my day of coordinator. Thank you so much Christie and Teresa!

Christie was AMAZING!! I am so happy I hired her. Not only is she professional, she is very sweet! Such great attitude and positive energy. I can tell she loves what she does. She is very attentive on what needs to be done. I hired her for set up and tear down for my wedding, (although if a wedding coordinator was in my budget I would have definitely hired her in a heartbeat.) She went above and beyond. Christie was incredibly organized and supportive throughout wedding planning. Though we had her as a day-of-coordinator, she was still very present in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding day to ensure that planning was going well and that we were on the same page. She helped our rehearsal go smoothly. On the day of, Christie was incredible at ensuring that our vision was carried out. She was an excellent problem-solver and had thought of things that my scattered brain that day did not think of. She even went out of her way to get something from the pharmacy for us after we had a little medication mishap! Christie Donaghue, the owner of 4Ever Yours‘s wedding planning, was an absolute godsend leading up to an on the day of our wedding. I would highly recommend hiring her to any couple requiring assistance planning or coordinating their wedding. We received absolutely excellent service , super friendly assistance, and great pricing as well.

We got married at 52 North Venue last Saturday, June 21 2025 and it was an INCREDIBLE day!

Kat & Devon were a pleasure to work with on every occasion; from our first venue tour, to multiple open houses where we had opportunities to bring our party & photographer to see the venue, to our big day. They helped create the perfect seating chart and the venue’s rentable decorations pulled our vision together.

Lori and Allen, the property managers, were absolutely amazing the entire wedding weekend. We can’t thank them enough for being so accommodating and willing to wait until the last second to make an inclement weather call to move the ceremony inside, and they managed to set up and pull off our dream outdoor ceremony so swiftly we barely noticed when the rain magically stopped just in time! They even thought to put out blankets for our guests in case they were chilly.

The 52 North team absolutely made our weekend one to remember. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about what an incredible venue it was. We had the perfect day! Thank you!

This past weekend we had our wedding at 52 North Venue and we couldn’t have had a better experience!!!

Early on we struggled with finding a venue that would give us the time and freedom to make the day what we wanted. For the same cost as many other venues, here we were able to include an extra half day before for setup and again after for take down of decorations. 52 North made it so that we had everything we needed and more.

We were able to come to the venue multiple times before the wedding for open house and events to trial the bartenders and network with other vendors. This made planning a lot easier.

As for the day of, everything went perfectly. The venue had tons of parking to accommodate our 172 rowdy guests. There was tons of space for guests to be either inside or out, and oh my gosh the pictures…they turned out stunning. From the venue’s unique old truck to the custom vault for the guys to get ready in, if you’re looking for that Instagram photo spot, there are more than enough to go around.

Lastly the people of 52 North Venue are so kind and amazing! The owners Kat and Devon made communication so easy when we had five million questions and adjusted to every need even when we wanted to change seating arrangements right at the very last minute. The property managers Lori and Allen were sooo much help the day of that they deserve an extra special shoutout, I don’t think the wedding would have gone so smoothly without them.

Truly a wonderful team and venue to work with!

We got married here in July 2025, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The venue is absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments on our big day. The venue itself is so beautiful, it does not require too many decorations. The outdoor space was perfect for cocktail hour, with the outdoor furniture, lawn games, and patio bar. One of the big reasons we chose this venue is we were able to have it for the entire weekend, which allowed us to do our own decorating, have rehearsal on site, and relax the night before. We rented the Vault and the entire wedding party was able to conveniently stay at the venue the night before, eliminating the need to travel to the venue the day of the wedding. The suite and vault were equipped with everything you'd need, and the bridal party loved being able to hot tub the night before! We were also able to extend the night until 2am, since our guests love a good party!

They require you book their bartenders, Roadpop, and they truly did not disappoint! Worth every penny - they did an amazing job. No lineups, delicious drinks, and provided a great overall experience! They also let us purchase our own liquor.

Would definitely recommend this venue!

The whole team at 52 North is very welcoming and ensure every little detail is considered. From a personalized welcome with chocolates, bubbles in the fridge, to a 24/7 property manager on-site. The venue itself is serene and unique. My husband and I LOVED that we could rent the location for the whole weekend, which provided as stress free wedding for the whole wedding party. The fact that they allow pets on-site (with some restriction) allows the opportunity for couples to share their special day with their fur-babies! Not only is the interior of the venue gorgeous, but the property boasts amazing photography opportunities.

Kat was amazing to communicate with and responded within a timely manner.

This venue and team is AMAZING and I would highly recommend this place to any couple planning one of the biggest days of their lives.

52 North is absolutely breathtaking! Such a beautiful venue that really does have it all. Unique, industrial & modern design. Options to stay the entire weekend & rent decor makes it super easy for any event. Kat, Devon, Lori & Allan went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They made sure everything went smoothly for both rehearsal & wedding day. Our guests were blown away at how perfect the venue was set up.
Very close to Sylvan lake was a plus for our guests.
Would definitely recommend! We are so happy that this is where we chose for our special day!

A friend of mine got me a dubai choc bar from here and it was amazing. Had to check out the cinnamon buns. They are just as unique and amazing. Not dry at all and full of icing. This one is cereal milk flavour and it tasted of my childhood! Please support local bakeries with great ideas. Staff here are very welcoming and decor inside is gorgeous :)

I came here for the Dubai strawberry cups. The little photo booth corner was beautifully decorated. For IG, its great, but I was surprised that the rest of the interior of the store wasn't as cohesive or as nicely decorated. The seating area seemed a bit bland. Now, for the food. I think its hard to make chocolate, strawberry, and pistachio cream not delicious. I just think it could have used a bit more strawberry. I have tried a Dubai strawberry cup at another place before and it was slightly bigger and a few dollars cheaper. If you haven't tried, I still think it would be a good place to go visit and try.

I really love 8cake—I’m a big fan of the Dubai chocolate bar you have in shop, and the lotus one has been my absolute favorite so far. Because I enjoy your sweets so much, I was excited to try the cake sandwiches. I picked some up today for myself and my husband as a little dessert treat.

On the way home, I noticed something seemed off. The cookies and cream box had two sandwiches inside, but the chai fudge only had one, and it looked noticeably lighter. Once I got home, I double-checked on your TikTok page and saw that the sandwiches are usually shown as two halves per box. I called to confirm and was told that the “portions are equal”

That said, when comparing the two side by side, the chai fudge portion was significantly smaller and didn’t seem consistent with the other flavor. I’ve attached photos so you can see the difference.

I truly don’t mind paying $12.60 each for your treats, as I know quality desserts are worth it—but it’s a bit disappointing when the sizes don’t feel consistent, especially when the difference is so visible.

I tried the Strawberry Cup (it was well loaded with kanafeh, melted chocolate, strawberries and pistachio paste), so decadent! The Cream Puffs were filled with fruity, caramel and Oreo flavours.
The customer service here is amazing!

We had Jon perform at our event and he was so easy to work with. He was very personable and professional as well. We had a limited budget and our event was shorter in duration than typical events. However, he gave us a reasonable price and delivered on our request, he played the songs on our playlists and we are so pleased with him! He was also punctual during meetings, and the day of our event. Working with him was such a breeze!

Jon has lit up our friends' wedding party that we've been to last week! The tunes got everyone going and it was a truly amazing night. I'd recommend him to deejay any event in a heartbeat!

Dropped by to pick up a lunch to go at What the Poke. Right next to the Cake and Cafe. Tried the Salmon poke bowl. Quite nice and enjoyable. Reasonable pricing. Good amount of food for lunch. This place is awesome！！！Both i and my boyfriend have been ordering cake all the time in here. The costumed cake that my boyfriend ordered for me is my favorite cartoon Chiikawa！！The Chinese lady （the boss）is so nice, she even give me free bubble tea on my birthday！！This cake shop is definitely my best choice！！ The decoration is so cute there. I had an excellent experience with the registry agent during my recent visit. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely courteous throughout the process. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and guided clearly through every step. The agent handled my documentation quickly and ensured everything was accurate and complete. I appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to answer all of my questions with patience and professionalism. It made what could have been a stressful task surprisingly smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend.

We booked a 12 person ford expedition limo for a bachelorette party. Our driver was Tony. When we booked, we didn’t realize we also got a professional photographer in one! (Haha) Tony was SO professional, fun, kind, and took us to a beautiful spot to take photos and took the best pictures of us! He was extremely professional as well. I saw a lot of other companies online but the reason I called A1 was because they had their pricing on their website while every other site was “call for quote” which is very annoying. I loved the transparency, it made it convenient and easy for us to budget and book. The follow up leading up to our ride was professional and kind as well. Unfortunately at our arrival there was insane rain so we had to bolt out to avoid getting soaked, and we feel terrible we couldn’t give Tony the thanks he deserved. Thank you guys so much

It is always a great time with A 1 limo as it is hassel free. I booked the 26 person limo bus early in Jan for july. Each time I would inquire about questions they would promptly reply that day no mater what hour of the day. Our driver Tony was great. although he got stuck in traffic on the way to pick up the group he was able to piviot with all of my schedule changes. As in changing the meeting place to load the bus with supplies and the pick up the rest of the group.
He was prompt on pick up and drop off at each venue and parked as close to the venues as possible.
At the end of the night he made an extra stop to drop off all of the extra supplies.
Communucation was great between the party host and the driver.
my only suggestion would be to allow an extra 5 to 10 mins in the beginning to accomodate traffic.

I reached out to A1 as i was told they were one of the only limo services that had a TV, a request i absolutely needed for my event. Shaun was very accommodating and provided great service as we planned every detail.

Everything happened according to plan, Zack the driver was super with my kids and the car was awesome. Would not hesitate to use A1 again.

Fabulous company! My daughter celebrated her 22nd birthday with friends and they were absolutely thrilled with their ride and the driver, Tony. He was in communication with my daughter and even shopped for drinks for them to have in the limo with a list she sent to him which was greatly appreciated. The limo itself (tuxedo stretch Excursion) was stunningly beautiful. They had so much fun they actually canceled some of their plans so they could spend more time in the limo. Tony was kind, professional and patient, and kept them all safe the whole night. We will absolutely contact this company anytime we need a driver for a special night! Thank you so much!!

The perfect birthday start with the nice and smooth limo drive on Saturday. The driver was Shaun very polite and we'll prepared. It was one hour and we also stopped by to take some nice pictures with downtown.

Action Insurance Group and specifically Joanne Sheppard were incredible to my husband and I over the 5 years we were insured for home and auto through their brokerage. We got a great rate on auto insurance by using a driver tracking app through one of the companies they work with, and that same company helped us very smoothly through two animal strikes and one not-at-fault collision. Joanne was so quick to respond with such great service and I always felt like I had a one-on-one service provider who I was able to build a relationship with. We unfortunately moved out of province, or we would have kept our insurance with Action Insurance Group forever - especially since Joanne provided such an amazing level of service that you just don't find everywhere in the insurance world. 10/10 experience! I phoned them panicking because we had less then 4 days to find catering for 25 people. Not only did they deliver, it was incredibly set up and everyone loved it. Everything tasted great and could not stop talking about the cheesecake! Great portion sizes, fantastic value! Will definitely be using them for anything we need catered!

We recently hired Adam’s Gourmet Services for our “Death by Chocolate” event. We were thrilled with Adam’s dynamic and masterful execution of the menu. The presentation of the desserts elevated the feel of our evening and the beautiful, delectable treats lived up to everyone’s expectations. His suggestion to add an ice sculpture was astute and a stunning addition to our decor. Adam is very personable with a great energy. We were delighted by his down to earth approach, his attention to our needs and his pleasant team. I almost don’t want to post this review as I want to keep him available for all of our future events.

My friend and I came into Adore today looking for a dress for a wedding. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and asked how we could be helped. Within minutes a few of the sales associates had a dressing room full for us.

I came to the store with my friend and was just looking around. We came to the jewelry rack and my friend asked "are these cufflinks?". The girl seller who was standing there replied "those are earrings and we don't sell anything for men". While my friend had piercings. We walked away. I heard her tone and it was absolutely unacceptable for a person doing her job as a sales assistant. I have never seen a manifestation of misandry in real life, but thank you to your store for that! (no, it's disgusting). I don't recommend this store to anyone and will never come here again.

Similar to other people’s experiences under the reviews, the customer service here needs improvement. Walked in and even after 10 min was not greeted or approached as the employees did with other customers that came in before or after me. There were a few employees working and it felt intentional who they spoke to vs ignored. Lots of beautiful pieces that I wanted to try but felt shy and unwelcomed and had to walk away.

I have worked with Adrienne a couple of times and it's always a wonderful experience! Recently, a friend and I attended her group makeup class. In addition to teaching the basics, she made sure to discuss and teach make-up techniques that addressed the areas of concern that each participant had. I recently attended a group makeup lesson, and it was such a great experience! Not only was it fun, but I also picked up some fantastic beauty tips. Adrienne has an incredible eye for what suits you best—she recommended I try the Wine O’Clock lip balm. At first, I thought it was too dark for me, but I gave it a shot, and now I absolutely love it! I also got an eyeshadow palette, where I could choose the shades I liked. The quality is very good, and the fact that they are made in Canada is a plus! Working with Chelsea was such a dream! I shared my inspiration photos with her, and she sent back an entire vision board and was open to any feedback. When the florals were delivered on my wedding day, everyone was absolutely in awe at how beautiful they were!

Chelsea was absolutely amazing to work with from the very beginning! She was so organized and responsive. On the actual wedding day, our florals showed up ahead of schedule and they were absolutely STUNNING! Everything we could have asked for and more. She took the creative freedom and made beautiful wild flower arrangements (the meadow arrangements were especially breathtaking). I would 1000x recommend to anyone looking to elevate their wedding with amazing florals!

It is hard to put into words the magic the Chelsea created for us on our special day! She is beyond talented and from our first meeting was so attentive and accommodating to our wishes and needs for our wedding. She welcomed inspo photos but honestly her creations were so much more beautiful than what we could've dreamed of. We had a lot of fresh florals for our wedding and she made sure to include a detailed proposal with photos, notes and pricing (which was beyond reasonable!) to make sure that we felt comfortable with our choices. She was always willing to help support us when there were any changes to be made, and was quick to adjust our proposal to reflect that! The only thing I can say, is that if you're getting married, you need to hire Chelsea as your florist. Her talent, kindness and passion for her work shows and you will 100% be happy with having her be a part of your day.

Affordable party rentals provided plates, wine glasses and coffee cups for my 35 person event with one days notice and at an affordable rate. I picked up and dropped off the items (my choice) easily and my deposit was returned promptly. I would definitely recommend them.

While delivery was timely and the glassware ordered was in great condition (mostly), we were disappointed with the condition of the chairs provided to us. They were quite dirty and we found at least 2 seats with gum on them. Also, our complaint was all but ignored and we were told we should have opted to rent chair covers at an extra cost. Upon placing our order, that was not addressed. Regardless, after having my staff clean the chairs, we were able to salvage the situation and had a great evening for our office Holiday party.

My mother came here to complete a digital POA after a friend’s recommendation, and we were extremely pleased with the service we received. We made multiple trips to this location, and each time we were welcomed with the utmost politeness—even though we put Brother Majaz through a lot of work with very little return.

He was incredibly helpful with all the services he provided and guided us every step of the way to ensure our POA was completed properly. Unfortunately, due to repeated fingerprint failures, we weren’t able to finalize the POA at this location—but that did not take away from the amazing service and help we received.

If I could give 10/5 stars, I WOULD! I have been working with Amira and her team since early 2021, planning our destination wedding for February 2022. They were fantastic to work with and the entire experience took a ton of stress off us and our party. They were quick to secure us an gorgeous resort for an unbeatable price. Unfortunately, we made the tough decision to cancel our destination wedding after final payment and the airline was not willing to refund any of the guests, which was going to result in everyone being out thousands of dollars... Amira went to bat for us and was able to get our entire party fully refunded! I can't express my gratitude in words for Amira and her team. Although we were not able to have our destination wedding, we are now able to relax, with a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that none of our guests are out of pocket. If you are looking for a travel agency that fully has your best interests in mind, Aisle Travel is what you are looking for!!!
