I had a great experience with Hanna. She helped me a lot with my room booking and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. She also handled guests in a very professional and welcoming way. It’s clear that she truly understands what hospitality means. Her friendly attitude and efficiency made a big difference, and I really appreciate her support. Highly recommended!

The Worst Hospitality Experience of My Life

From check-in to check-out, our stay was an absolute disaster. The check-in process alone took over an hour. The front desk clerk insisted on checking every single ID, taking nearly ten minutes per ID — completely unreasonable and unprofessional.

The so-called “hot bath” had only cold water. When we reported it, the maintenance worker casually informed us that it was broken, with no offer of a fix or alternative. The pool water was foul-smelling and clearly old, making it unusable.

The manager’s behavior was appalling — blatantly racist, discriminatory, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. While we were simply speaking in normal voices inside our room, he came to threaten us with eviction without refund. When we raised concerns about the problems we faced, he addressed us in the same condescending tone he used with his subordinates, showing zero respect for paying guests.

This place is nothing but a dirty, poorly managed motel with the rudest staff I have ever encountered. Not a single positive aspect to mention — only regret for ever booking here. If I had the time, I would file a formal police complaint for their discriminatory conduct.

So I gave this place a four star call my go figger. So the outside looks like it belongs in a movie something similar to The shining. However when you walk through those big doors the courtesy they extend, the rooms, the views, the cleanliness for me was above expectations. Get over the appearance of the grounds. And enjoy the gym restaurant and the view from your suite. My compliments to the staff is a were above normal expectations.

Do not stay here. First impression of the hotel was a giant missing overhead panel at the front entrance. Pulling into the parking lot we considered leaving due to the way the exterior was poorly kept. The staff at the front desk were kind though hard to understand. The elevator gave me anxiety as it shook and stalled. The room is where it all goes downhill. The carpet isn’t actually carpet, they’re tiles of material which weren’t even in alignment with each other. The mattress had a hole in it. The walls had unfinished patches. The sink wouldn’t drain properly. The floor left our socks black. The fridge froze all of our food. The hot tub was out of service.The sheets were stained and The door wouldn’t close properly. They asked how many people would be staying in our room, we assumed this question was to ensure we had enough amenities stocked in our room upon our arrival. There were two towels and two face cloths despite them knowing that three would be staying in our room. We brought up the issue with the fridge and no compensation was offered, we were simply told “I’m sorry” and that was it. We decided to see how they would do with housekeeping, maybe they just forgot to clean our room prior, (give them the benefit of the doubt) we observed the stain on one of our beds and put out the “maid service please” sign before leaving for the day. We returned to the same stain on the bed. The same sheets, same pillows, the only difference there was the sheets were tucked under the mattress. Very sloppily. They replaced two towels and didn’t give us any new clean face cloths. The carpet still had crumbs on it, and was obviously untouched as well.

My family and I booked one of the rooms in Divya Surta, hoping for a peaceful stay. It was anything but peaceful. As soon as we arrived and tried to check in, the staff was speaking to us in a very rude tone. (ALSO, BEWARE THAT BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED AND CHARGES EXTRA!!!) Once we got check in, the room was dirty and in poor shape, the mattresses were stained and had holes in them, and the sheets were dirty. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were bed bugs in the bed. The curtains were also stained. The bathroom was dirty, and there was hair all over the floor. I read some of the other reviews, and they said that this hotel is very good. I am 100% sure that those reviews were written by bots. I attached multiple pictures so you can see what it was like.

Incredible service!! Brought a dress in to have stains removed from a seamstress and Dolphin Dry Cleaners came to the rescue. Not only were they able to remove the stains but they were able to get it done within a few hours. Highly recommend them. Thank you again.

I used these guys awhile ago. I took in one of my husband's shirts to be cleaned and the price was reasonable. I took it back a few weeks later and the price was waaaay more. Why? Because they classified it as a woman's shirt. Same shirt but significantly higher prices because they thought it belonged to a woman. Seriously!!! This is not a classification error, it is gender based pricing.

My suit was ready even earlier than anticipated, and they were able to remove an ink stain I wasn’t sure would come out. Quick service and my clothes look great

Amazing service! Dress was done and ready and stain free the next day after dropping it off! They were so informative about dry cleaning the type of dress I had as it was pleaded! Best service yet!

This shop has been here as long as I can remember and for good reason. I’ve gotten Halloween costumes as a kid and cosplay stuff as an adult, they’ve never changed their lovely atmosphere. Amazing people and lovely store, they’re very helpful and have all the wacky weird and wonderful things you would need. I personally am someone who dresses trad goth and I get my makeup here now. The lady behind the counter (I’m sorry I don’t know her name) is super sweet and helpful. If you want to support local and need something for Halloween, comic con, sfx makeup, etc… please come here!

Don's is my favourite makeup store. As a haunted attraction owner, I work with sfx makeup as well as ready-to-wear costuming and masks and Don's has become my go-to. They are so knowledgeable.

I get them to lead workshops for our Scream Team every year and my team often stops by for one-on-one coaching. They offer classes to the public which are terrific.

They go the extra mile and also keep makeup safety top of mind. After many mistakes where I've literally peeled skin off my face and dyed my teeth black for a week, I really appreciate this.

They are open year-round so it's really fun to stop in away from the Halloween rush to learn a new skill or stock up.

I attended a SFX workshop and had an amazing experience- the facilitator, Charlie, has a wonderful teaching style that brings warmth, humour, and fun to learning and practicing the SFX techniques. The teaching was approachable, interesting, and communicated very well, whether you are a novice learner like me, or have experience with SFX. I would highly recommend attending workshops at Don's Costume Shop and will be returning for more!

Always well stocked, this is one of my costume go-to places in the city. The staff are always helpful and pleasant, particularly when I had questions about prosthetics. The staff are enthusiastic about costumes and it shows.

I am absolutely over the moon with the incredible job that Donj did on my mom's anniversary band. It was originally yellow gold and now it's white gold all buffed and Polished and sent back to me in an illuminated box. It looks absolutely beautiful! Like a brand new ring-- and it was so quick! The turnaround time was amazing.. worth every penny and I will definitely use these folks again!!!

Came to this place as it has decent ratings and included breakfast. It was shortest place to the zoo and science center. This could have been any hotel though. What truly stood out was the front desk manager. I think her name was Angela or Angelica. She was training a new person but hlthat didn't stop her from being very friendly and warm. We had to leave due to emergency at home and she actually showed care, which can be unusual. She made the experience great and I truly thank her for such a positive experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The Front Desk employee who helped me during check-in was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was working on the evening of August 21. Breakfast was also good.

My home away from home!!! I spend 5 nights at this hotel every 5 weeks. It's honestly like coming home. The beds are comfy. Towels fluffy. In room amenities are 5 star. But the best part... the staff. From the wonderful front desk, to the sweet room attendants, to the restaurant staff, the lounge staff, the shuttle drivers, the maintenance guys that you always see making stuff better. Always smiling, always happy to welcome us back.
I honestly can say enough good things. I don't like being away from home, but I get excited to spend my time in this hotel.

We recently celebrated my parents' 25th wedding anniversary at the Dover Community Hall, and it was absolutely amazing!
From start to finish, everything went so smoothly. Amanda was incredible to deal with during the booking process — she answered all our questions quickly and made everything so easy for us.

The hall itself was perfect for our event — clean, spacious, and exactly what we needed. Renting the downstairs venue is such a wicked deal for the price!

A huge thank you as well to our bartender, who was fantastic all evening! The drinks were so reasonably priced, and the service was outstanding. Everyone had a wonderful time and kept mentioning how great the venue and staff were.

We highly recommend Dover Community Hall for any event!

Great place to hold family events, lots of room to do whatever you’re doing and good food every day!! Very nice helpful staff, not a single issue all weekend there! :)

Never been inside the building but almost killed myself in their icy sidewalk yesterday afternoon.

We had a great time skating here! The ice was decent and it wasn't crowded at around noon on the weekend. There was a few guys playing hockey but they were very respectful of us and others that were there for skating only.

We went for a skate at night. Pretty decent ice and the nets were out. Almost no one was there, but they turn the lights off at 9:45pm. They should definitely look into keeping them on longer. If you’re looking to skate later, Southview has lights until 11

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would! Ordering flowers from this location was a wonderful and smooth process! There are substitutions for items that may not be available at times, and the pricing + substitution match is 100% worth it! All bouquets are put together with love and attention to detail. Nancy is a wonderful artist and is great at what she does, I was so impressed by the bouquet she put together for me (as a birthday gift for someone else) that I will definitely order from here again. You will not regret ordering from this location, ever! I wish this company the best and tremendous amount of love from Toronto to Calgary 🩷🩷

Nancy, the owner, was incredibly kind and attentive to every little detail. The flowers were truly on another level compared to those from Costco, supermarket, or any flower shop. Nancy was the best! Passionate and expert at her craft. We weren't sure what we wanted for our wedding and Nancy went above and beyond to visit the venues to design the perfect bouquets, centerpieces to compliment the colors. On the morning of our wedding she personally delivered and arranged all the flowers. She was wonderful to work with.

We just returned from a trip around Australia. A huge shout out to Sarah at Down Under Travel for such great planning and advice. We had some wonderful accommodations in heritage buildings that were outstanding. All of the destinations selected gave us a great oversight of the wide variety of terrain in Australia. Sarah was also very quick to help us with problems encountered and that was truly appreciated. Great trip!

Just returned from a fantastic bucket list vacation in Australia and New Zealand for 8 weeks. Dream Trip to Tahiti - French Polynesia

From the moment we contacted the Downunder Travel Agency in Calgary we were not disappointed.

We were immediately put at ease as they arranged our most wonderful Vacation to Tahiti for us.

Downunder Travel looked after all our needs from Travel Insurance, airline travel, a 7 day ‘Paul Gaugin Cruise’ through the Society Islands, all transfers and land pre and post stay in Moorea and Bora Bora. All excursions were booked by them as well for our convenience.

If we had any questions regarding anything our emails or calls were very promptly replied at the up most professionalism. When Cathleen our travel agent was away Jason promptly filled in.

On one occasion our travel agent Cathleen whom we cannot stress enough how wonderful she was went into work one early long weekend morning on her day off just to get us a upgraded to a balcony room on the ship that she had to call in for as there was only one suite left. She went above and beyond to make this happen.

Everything about our trip was beyond amazing from, air, land and sea and all paper work required for being a guest in Tahiti. and her gorgeous islands.

We extended our stay with land pre and post at a small intimate resort recommended by Cathleen which did not disappoint. In Bora Bora we stayed in an Over the Water bungalow, it was breathtaking from feeding the tropical fish to snorkelling. The Moorea pre was equally amazing.

Food and accommodations were stellar.

Spectacular trip from start to finish!

We booked a trip to Malaysia/Borneo through Jason at Downunder Travel in Calgary. He did a great job putting together a package that was excellent. He organized a vacation package using the local tour companies and guides who were professional and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of wildlife and experienced the Malaysian and Bornean cultures. And we had no issues with all the flights: everything was well coordinated. It was a memorable trip! Thanks Jason!

Leonard was absolutely incredible! He totally understood what we were hoping for (a 90s/2000s dance party), and his experience really came through. He really reads the room to make sure that the vibe continues all night long - we literally had guests that danced for 4 hours straight & never left the dance floor! (Myself included!)

They played from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, during reception, and kept the dance floor going all night. My husband and I got married at Dreamers farm on August 8th. We experienced all types of weather and were back and forth till the last minute about where to set up our ceremony. Stephanie and Tyler were AMAZING! They truly were so supportive in making our dream outdoor ceremony happen. They were adaptable and I cannot thank them enough! They have so many beautiful spots around their property for weddings and photos. You cannot go wrong in choosing Dreamers farm for your wedding venue, and we cannot recommend them enough!

I recently photographed a wedding at this gorgeous venue! The owners are so kind and it was a great experience. There’s a lot of great diverse spots for photos. A small forest, wide open field, cute red barns, etc. Fantastic new place to get married!

Wow! Absolutely amazing. My husband and I chose Dreamers Farm to have our wedding at, and it did not disappoint. From start to finish the entire process was seamless thanks to Stephanie and Tyler. From helping with decisions, vendors, lending a helping hand to set up and amazing day of coordination by Stephanie. I am a picky client, with high expectations and there was not one point in the 10 months of planning I felt anything but joy while working with Stephanie. Dreamers Farm Gatherings literally saved my wedding! A venue fell through on us last minute, and I searched for a new place. These people were prompt, friendly, and professional, and offered me their services last minute. Stephanie was a dream to work with, so kind and accommodating. The farm was gorgeous and peaceful with amazing views. The property has convenient onsite parking, a tent for reception or rain, and several locations for the ceremony, with arches provided if desired. There's also a bathroom, and beautiful antique signing table for signing your marriage license. All and all, they gave us the best experience and very personal care from start to finish. I couldn't recommend them more, our wedding was so dreamy because of this venue.

I can’t say enough good things about this space and about Steph and Tyler. We hosted our summer wedding here this year, and not only was the venue beautiful, but the entire experience of working with them was so easy and enjoyable. They truly care about you and what you need, and it shows in everything they do. Steph was an incredible day-of coordinator, and because of her I was able to fully enjoy the day without stress. It’s so clear that they’ve poured their heart and soul into this space, and into supporting every couple and family who walks through their doors. We are so grateful to them for helping us create such a meaningful celebration. If you're looking for a beautiful space that's close to Calgary and has the best views and will give you a memorable day then Dreamer's is it!

Very good Bussing service. Dave was my son’s driver for the school year. Awesome guy to deal with. Always on time and committed to the safety of the kids. I could tell that my son was very comfortable riding with him. Hope to have him back next school year.

First day of busing with this company.
Standing at the bus stop waiting for Dreams bus that is white and had been white on his previous rides. Called cause no show. They say the bus was sitting there. Not a white bus saying Dreams a yellow bus that isn't marked Dreams. Driver doesn't acknowledge they are there for Dreams or the school he goes to. So son misses bus he doesn't know what he was looking for. For that fact the busses are yellow and not white parents should have had an email telling us what to look for for the upcoming year.
The Driver doesnt bother to tell anyone at the stop which bus they are for. Poorly communicated on first day of school. Better communication is needed. Have you had a bus map. This would have not been a problem either cause we would have know it was the correct bus. When I called to ask about the bus that hasnt shown. They won't send it back for pick up either cause they said she was there but there in a bus that doesn't state Dreams how would anyone know. Not a good start. Very Unprofessional.

I cannot give enough positive feedback for this company! Their regard for the safety of their riders is utmost. Student riders also have adult riders who assist them as needed. Every bus has a camera that allows them to monitor drivers when necessary, which isn’t often as each driver is given a safety driving course as part of their training. The owners of this company are very personable and care about riders as well as their staff. It is unfortunate that the majority of their clients who utilize their services don’t give ratings as they are satisfied customers. I highly endorse Dreams!

The driver of this bus was driving extremely fast on a very icy road at 3.30 pm Wednesday Dec 13 heading North on 21 St Sw from 33rd Ave SW. I was crossing the road with my children and the driver accelerated towards us. I sent my children back to the pavement as the van could not hav stopped on the icy conditions.

I will be reporting U70638 this so you should expect a visit and at least $500 ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Make sure to ask your kids how their bus ride went- still stand by this, for everyone's wellbeing. I did not know they had seatbelts on the small buses! Supervisor was well spoken and professional. Driver could use some training in dealing with children properly.

We picked Duchess Calligraphy to do some signage for our baby shower, and also asked them to make a custom sign for our nursery room. And they did not disappoint! I didn’t really know exactly how I wanted the signs to look like but they were so patient during the consultation, and gave me examples to work from! I appreciated the attention to detail every step of the way of the process. The signs turned out absolutely stunning and will gladly hire them again for other future events!

I was a DIY bride for the most part. But there were certain things I could not do or had any patience to do :). In this case, that was my seating chart.

I knew when I chose Joanne to complete my seating chart project, I would not be disappointed. From start to finish, the entire process felt collaborative and Joanne was more than willing to hear out my ideas and provide some recommendations. She also provided proofs for me to approve prior to starting the project, so I knew exactly what I was getting. To add to that, I also had to make a last minute unexpected change and she accommodated that request days, before the wedding. Thankfully!!!

When I received the final product, I was shocked. It was more than I expected. The colors, the size and overall look was perfect. I couldn’t stop staring at it. The seating chart really added an extra flare to the theme of my wedding. But more importantly, it helped my guests navigate where they should be. I’m so happy I made the choice to have this handcrafted piece to add to my special day. Would definitely recommend.

Leslie went above and BEYOND to help me get my dress after my local bridal shop scammed me out of my money. Leslie was able to secure my dress from the designer and ensured that she would have it for me before my big day. The communication was beyond anything I ever expected. After everything I had gone through with my local shop, I was scared, heartbroken, and felt like I couldn't trust anyone. Leslie called me and text me several times to reassure me that she had MY dress and I was HER bride. Hearing those words was the most comforting and reassuring thing. And after everything, she even hooked me up with the most incredible seamstress who was able to do all of my alterations with only one fitting. They are so extremely professional here and the variety of dresses they have you'll definitely find something you love! Dresses in all sizes which as a plus size bride i felt so good being here. They had exactly what I was looking for and I was able to say yes to my dress here! I wish I could remember my consultants name! It started with a G and she deserves a raise and more vacation time! She is what made my experience so wonderful and she is fantastic at her job!

My daughter and I stopped in at Durand Bridal on a Sunday afternoon in June - without an appointment - and were warmly greeted by staff. We were not expecting that they would be able to allow my daughter to try on some dresses for her 2026 wedding without an appointment but they were only too happy to accommodate us. Gracie was our appointed stylist and what a gem she is! So professional and helpful! Gracie completely understood my daughter's wish for a grand ball gown style dress and after trying on several dresses, found THE dress. The dress of her dreams. A big bonus that the dress also happened to be on sale. We returned a week later with my daughter's bridal entourage and went through the dresses again for comparison. All that were present LOVED the dress too! My daughter is extremely fussy and was anxious over such a momentous decision but all of her concerns were put to rest in the competent hands of Gracie and staff. There was never a hint of pressure or any sense of feeling rushed whatsoever. I would wholeheartedly recommend Durand Bridal for selection, staff and top notch service. From trying on, buying, and picking up my dress, the experience I had with Durand was perfect. As someone who’s very picky, my consultant, Kora, truly could not have done any better than she did. I went in with a pretty clear vision in my head, and Kora pulled a dress that captured all the aspects I imagined, but also exceeded my expectations tenfold, all while being in budget. I can’t thank her enough for making my dress dreams come true. It’s clear that the entire Durand team absolutely loves what they do, and that’s reflected throughout the whole experience.

Dwell Modern is my favourite place in Calgary for all of my interior needs. The showroom is absolutely stunning and always has the most unique designer pieces. They carry exclusive furniture and lighting lines that will take your space to the next level. Adam was so helpful in helping us select pieces for our new home, including dining chairs, blu dot hot mesh bar stools and black accented lighting to complement our stools and complete our kitchen and dining area. He was so knowledgeable, helpful and went above and beyond for us. His service was prompt and professional, and he has a great eye for design. We love the luxurious and modern selection at Dwell Modern and we will absolutely be back to update the living room next.

Dwell is an amazing upscale modern furniture dream! The showroom floor is meticulously laid out with fabulous vignettes. I went in to find some accessories, the friendly staff had lots of product knowledge. I saw a sofa that I feel in love with. The Togo. I will be saving up for it!

This is a very cool and unique store. The pieces in the showroom are unique and unlike anything else I have seen in town. Adam, who has helped me out on several occasions, worked hard to help me try to find the perfect pieces to compliment my space. Highly recommend stopping in and taking a look at the showroom.

Terrible customer service. I walk in and all the staff are just sitting in the couches talking and don’t even acknowledge me. So I took a browse around looking for modular furniture and no one offered to help. But another (Caucasian) man walks in and a salesperson immediately goes to help him. Being Asian I can’t help but feel they’re racist.

I am a bit late in writing this review, however I need to commend Jason and his staff for their DJ services at our daughter's wedding a few months ago. They keep things flowing with ease and ensure a fun time for everyone! Jason and his team will be a welcome addition to any event! I have 2 more unmarried children who are incredibly excited to have him DJ their weddings one day! My daughter & son-in-law couldn't have been happier with Jason and his services!
