Flowers were delivered on time and were so lovely, my mother-in-law loved the ford truck planter (nowhere else that I looked online had a cool planter like that!) and they were reasonably priced. User friendly website and payment was smooth and secure.

From the very first time we spoke with Nancy, she felt like family. The attention to detail she has for all the little moments throughout the ceremony to create the best photos for the photographer, best visual experience for guests, and best memories for us was so valuable. Nancy has the biggest sweetest heart and guided us through the rehearsal and ceremony so thoroughly - it was virtually stress free. Nancy truly customizes each ceremony for her couples - she took the time to really get to know our love story, and share it with our guests. Loved the outdoor space. Lots of bathrooms. Lots of security, in a good way. The only thing that was confusing was how to leave. All exits seemed to be marked as emergency exits.

I bought tickets to a show this Stampede and was disappointed that this tent was so far away from the grounds. I was hoping that when the opening band of that night turned out to be a poor choice, based on the headliner, one could leave the tent, wander the grounds, and come back. Instead, you are Downtown too early while a terrible band plays. A band so foul that you can feel their attempts to steal your soul through your ears. *performative statement. Truly though, I had to leave, yet that location has nowhere to retreat to. Home I went and didn't even bother coming back.

Let me end with Boooooo to the people who bought condos by Stampede Park and then complained about noise. These tents and events of this size should be nestled closer to the Grounds. Fact!

Went for a corporate event and concert. The Wildhorse Saloon tent is a fun hangout place during stampede. Food is good, service is decent as it gets really busy. There are nice photo spots inside. Good location for corporate events.

So happy I found this bake shop! We celebrated my daughter’s birthday in Calgary and it’s usually hard to find a beautiful and delicious cake. This one stood out. The flavor was raspberry and lychee which tasted amazing and not too sweet. The ambience was also lovely, especially with their high tea setup. I really hope they open a branch in Edmonton so we can enjoy it here too!

Willow did an amazing job on my custom heart shaped cake order. They were able to match the design and color I was looking for. I appreciate you accommodating and my girlfriend loved it! I was visiting Banff for a short trip from the US. I recommend supporting this business!

Long overdue review! Willow is my go to place for ordering cakes for special occasions for birthdays, Christmas, new years, or when Im just craving sweets!
Im probably missing some photos as I don't take photos all the time but beside there cakes and Dacquoise, I love there croissant and Canelé also my kids love there sugar cookies they have for Christmas😆

Better for Cream Cakes Than Regular Cakes?

Last year, I ordered a strawberry miniature cake for my birthday. It was very cute. Although it had a lot of icing and felt a bit dry, I didn’t mind too much because I wanted it for photos.

This year, I ordered two cakes: a red velvet heart-shaped bento cake and a 6" mocha hazelnut cake with a vintage design (see photos).

Unfortunately, the red velvet cake didn’t live up to expectations. It was dry, lacked flavour, and was overwhelmed by icing. It did not have the taste or texture of a professionally made red velvet cake, which was disappointing.After reading other reviews, I found that others had a similar experience.

Naturally, I was worried about the mocha hazelnut cake—but to my relief, it was fantastic. While the icing had a chemical and sour taste, the cake itself was delightful. I really enjoyed the combination of textures: a soft genoise sponge layered with fresh cream, crunchy hazelnuts, and smooth chocolate ganache. It was unique and genuinely a joy to eat.

In summary: From both my experience and others’ reviews, it seems that this bakery excels more with cream cakes than traditional ones. If you’re planning to order, I’d recommend going that route. Also, the staff were friendly, which made the overall experience more pleasant.

Went to Willow Cake and Bake for an afternoon tea and couldn’t be more impressed! All of the food, pastries, and tea were delicious. The room was decorated beautifully and the staff were super kind and helpful during our experience. We were totally blown away. We will definitely be back for another tea and to try some more pastries!

Attended a Memorial of Life recently at this Association. Very clean which was noticeable by a pleasant smell in the entire facility. Usually Community Associations smell like old socks and wood rot, this one did not.

Giant windows on two sides of the room made it feel very inviting and warming, despite the event being somber.

A great facility which also houses a hockey arena.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a facility to book an event.

Such a great place to host your party

A beautiful place with lots of functional rental spaces for all kinds of events. The staff are warm, kind and detailed. I'm looking forward to renting a space there for a meeting. I consider it a really good place.

We rented their smaller hall to host a birthday party and the process was nothing but smooth! Everyone was super helpful and accommodating, and they were even very understanding of a hiccup on our end. Staff are super professional and welcoming. The facility itself is beautiful and bright; will definitely be renting again for future events.

Parking lots are on the smaller end, but there are two and lots of street parking available nearby.

Highly recommend! Winter they have an outdoor hockey rink with full board, leisure rink and a free curling rink with rocks to throw. Their volunteer care takers do an amazing job so be sure to show your support and donate if you are able. Enjoy!

Wilma was very friendly and warm the whole time we worked with her. She has many templates prepared and will assist you in writing your vows. Wilma was so helpful in creating the perfect ceremony to capture us as a couple. Wilma was professional and so helpful at our rehearsal. We highly recommend Wilma as an officiant.

Wilma was absolutely incredible as our officiant! She really captured us beautifully as a couple in our wedding ceremony. She was creative and even added in a part of our printed thank you note to friends and family that she noticed at the venue, into the ceremony. She was also organized and patient at the rehearsal and helped us feel more comfortable for the big day. She is truly a gifted speaker and has such a warm and welcoming spirit about her. Thank you so much Wilma!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The ceremony was NOT what Wilma had agreed to with the couple. Specific sentences and paragraphs that the couple asked to have removed, were not. The love story had many incorrect details, again, not what was agreed to. She power-tripped about 3 weeks prior to the ceremony, to the point where she left the bride in tears and the groom exacerbated, leaving both wishing there was another option. She was incredibly rude to guests and specifically the photographer, who was just trying to confirm a few details prior to the start of the ceremony (there was no rehearsal). She was arrogant, rude and just wanted to be "In charge" instead of working with the couples vision.

We met with Wilma on video chat and she was very kind and knowledgeable, and we chose her as our officiant. She had examples, templates and questionnaires and made our ceremony special. I loved how she guided us for our rehearsal as well, and completed our marriage license/certificate and would totally recommend Wilma.

We came across Wilma's website by chance and shortly after corresponding through email, we met her for the first time in person. From the moment that we first met, we knew we had to have her a part of our wedding. Her warm and personable demeanor, professionalism and thoroughness when going over the ceremony process convinced us that she was the perfect officiant to marry us.

We had originally planned to get married in November 2020 among a large number of guests, however due to the pandemic, we had to pivot and cancel our original large wedding (including date and venue). When we informed Wilma along with other vendors that we had to cancel our original wedding and explained that we were lost about whether to postpone our wedding or have a smaller wedding sooner, Wilma was the first person to call us and consoled us for the changes in plans. She reassured us that no matter what decision we chose, our day would be perfect. So, with that in mind, we decided to not postpone our wedding and got married in September 2020 with a smaller guestlist and the day turned out more perfect than we could have ever imagined.

Throughout the wedding planning process, Wilma got to know us personally, and with the uncertainty of COVID-19, she provided us with so much support by being so accommodating, flexible and understanding. Even though we got married on a cold day in September at an outdoor venue, Wilma's words during the ceremony were so personal and heartfelt that even some guests commented that they forgot how cold it had been while listening to her speak. The ceremony flowed beautifully. We thank you, Wilma, for everything you have done for us. No words can be enough to express our gratitude to you for being a part of our special day.

Amazing is an understatement of the work that Ping and Kenny did for us. We scheduled with them about 9 months in advance and throughout those months when I needed reassurance, they were so helpful and always ready to answer my questions. I booked them for my 10th year anniversary pictures and the pictures were way more beautiful than I could ever hope for. Ping and Kenny were professional, friendly, and so easy to work with. You basically get two professional photographers for the price of one, trust me, you'll really see the benefit of this once you get your proofs from them. They had excellent suggestions on how to pose and our pictures came out with amazing lighting despite the cloudy day. I cannot thank them enough for making my 10th wedding anniversary the most special day of all!

We just got married this past weekend, and we are SO impressed by Ping and Kenny as a team. They are so easy to have around and they captured our day beautifully. The photographers at Winter Lotus might actually be magical. I mean seriously Harry Potter magical.... Our engagement photo shoot was really fun and produced some amazingly professional photos. The real magic was in the wedding photos... As the groom, I became slightly more intoxicated than I should have, and was thus a less than ideal subject for photography. Kenny and Ping were patient, professional, and had an amazing eye for a great photo. They worked with me in my state and were able to pull off a series of wedding photos for which I will be eternally grateful. I have no idea how they were able to spin gold from my train wreck... but they did and our photos turned out amazingly well. They captured great shots of all the guests for thank you cards, and also gave us some incredible black and whites. I highly recommend Winter Lotus Photography.

Alice is amazing!!! I live out of town and really wanted to surprise my best friend with something for her Birthday. Over a year ago I lost a beautiful wedding ring set that I still think of to this day. But, it was time for an upgrade and I'm super glad that Ron was able to help us with this. We had some hiccups to begin with but after Ron stepped in to assist us personally with our ring, the process was quick and effortless; at least it was on our end. Ron is great with his communication. I couldn't be any happier with how the ring turned out. My husband and I both look forward to using him again when we renew our vows with new wedding bands. Hands down the best jeweller in Calgary! I’ve gone to Ron for 3 custom pieces and each time he has over delivered! The bread and cakes here are of excellent quality and taste amazing. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Calgary. Although the refrigerator at our accommodation was small and not ideal for storing cakes, they still stayed fresh, kept their flavor, and held their shape perfectly. As for the bread, even though the brioche became slightly damp on the bottom while we stored it in a cooler, it turned out crispy and golden when toasted, and we truly enjoyed it. The croissant was also delicious, and next time I visit, I plan to try all the varieties available.

9/19/2025: I had read about their macarons and had to stop in to try it. I'm pretty particular about macarons and really only found a couple that I like. This place is now included on my list of macarons. The shell is soft and doesn't really have a crisp shell however the filling is delightful. Fluffy and not too sweet.

We came by Yann Haute in search of another patisserie that suited our taste buds so we would have more variety. Overall, I would rate them 3.5 stars.

I grabbed two cakes to try out and he got an almond croissant. The cakes were very well presented and eye-catching, though on the pricier side. The pastries were not as attractive and looked rather flat and a little overbaked.

While I enjoyed the cakes overall, they were a bit on the sweet side. He found his croissant dry and didn't like it too much.

I would probably pop by again if I was in the area, but wouldn't make a special trip here.

Still the best almond croissants in town after all these years.

For about $6, the almond croissants are very good value.

The other pastries were not bad.

Absolutely the best - the instant you step inside the store, the scent floats you to a French bakery in middle of Paris. My all time favorite place for tasty, well balanced cakes with signature flavors.

Have gotten two bouquets from Yara Flowers about a year and a half apart, both around $30 and absolutely beautiful. I just called ahead and said I have a budget of $30, the second time I paid over the phone and ran in as parking is impossible downtown after 3:00! Store owner is very sweet and accommodating.

First time ordered flowers 2 years ago and everything was good. Last year they were closed and I ordered flowers from Ukrainian girl in Instagram much cheaper.
This years I ordered delivery and flowers delivered without card and food for flowers.
Next year will order from Ukrainian girl.

Very misleading the photos and what you actually get. For $80 I would expect a way nicer arrangement. The bouquet is probably half the size shown in photos. Missing half the flowers shown (roses, baby’s breath, whatever the lilac colored flowers are, the lime green flowers...). What a scam. Avoid this place.

I had the most amazing experience with Yasfa as my bridal makeup artist! She made me feel so calm and beautiful on such an emotional day. The makeup was flawless, lasted all day, and looked stunning in photos. I got so many compliments! She truly understood my vision and brought it to life. Highly recommend her to any bride-to-be!

I can't recommend Yasfa enough! I was running late to every makeup appointment (oops), but she still managed to make me look absolutely stunning every single time. Her talent is unmatched—not only is she amazing with makeup, but her hair skills are just as incredible. Yasfa has this warm, kind, and caring personality that instantly puts you at ease. She always makes me feel comfortable, heard, and so beautiful.

I am not someone who knows much of makeup, and when I went to Yasfa, I gave her the absolute creative freedom, and she did not disappoint. She's extremely talented, knowledgeable, uses the best products. I went back to her several times since and even had my entire bridal party (mom, aunts, cousins) be done up by her for my wedding event, where she worked on everyone for 10+ hours straight. I had my engagement shoot makeup done by her, which lasted a whole day despite of walking around in the heat for 6+ hours. Her work is nothing less than perfection. If I recommend one makeup artist in Calgary region, that would be Yasfa. Her friendliness, professionalism, and knowledge on what suits a person best goes well beyond one's imagination. Highly recommend her services.

We got married in BC on Vancouver Island and highly recommend Melinda Orlowski! She was amazing during the process of creating our ceremony script. She was open to a lot of back and forth, and any changes or suggestions we had to the original script she drafted for us. We didn't have anything super specific we needed for our ceremony, so it was great that she did majority of the work and drafted everything for us, minus our own vows. Everything was taken care of in a smoothly manner, and she showed up early on the day. The ceremony went smoothly and the signing process went great as well! It was awesome that Melinda suggested a moment during the ceremony for everyone to take pics (Credit to Willow + Waltz below), and mentioned any family members who were not with us anymore. There were obvious cues for us to do our vows and exchange of rings, which was appreciated as we were both a little awkward being up there in front of everyone, and it made us feel more comfortable having her lead and guide us through it!

We had the pleasure of having Rich as our officiant for our wedding, he was very kind, shared a lot of tips and knowledge which was very helpful! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we can’t thank him enough!! The whole experience was easy, and smooth. Rich told our story beautifully to our friends and family, making it that much more special!!

No problem with the venue. Club was sold out for show. Waitresses did well looking after the orders.
Drink pricing was reasonable. The reason for the 3 is due to burnt nachos with little toppings and I felt to be expensive for a 1/2 order.

I’m writing this as a brother to two sisters who attended the April 3rd show at Yuk Yuk’s. What was supposed to be a fun night out turned into a really upsetting experience for them during Johnny Pogo’s set—and I can’t stay quiet about it.

Johnny singled them out during his performance with racist remarks that were anything but funny. He said something along the lines of, “Wow, two Black girls… couldn’t tell you were Black until you smiled and we saw your teeth.” That line alone was disgusting, but it didn’t stop there. The group sitting next to them started shouting “Nigerian! Nigerian!” over and over, as if it was a punchline. Not only is that wildly inappropriate—they’re not even Nigerian—but no one from staff said a word to stop it.

This wasn’t comedy. It was degrading. My sisters were humiliated in front of a crowd, reduced to stereotypes, and made to feel unsafe. They emailed the owner on the same night—April 3rd—and haven’t received any response back.

What’s even more telling is that another comedian on the lineup called out Johnny’s racism during his own set, saying something like, “You don’t punch down on Black women like that. That’s not comedy.” Huge respect to that performer for speaking up—but the fact that it even had to be said shows how serious this was.

I get that comedy can be edgy, but this crossed a clear line. Racism shouldn’t be passed off as a joke. I hope Yuk Yuk’s takes this seriously and makes it clear to all performers that targeting audience members—especially with racist “jokes”—is not acceptable. Everyone deserves to enjoy a night out without being demeaned for who they are.

I go regularly to YukYuks and have a hoot pretty much every time. If you’re into a fun night out and having some laughs, you’d be hard pressed to not have a great time.
The servers do a great job getting out so much food and drinks in such a limited time (especially if u get Karen or Jess, you’re gonna get some great service 👍🏻). It’s a comedy show, so don’t expect them to be passing around every 10 minutes…do yourself a favour, get a pitcher or a pony jug of whatever you’re having, and sit back and enjoy the show. Hats off to the whole team in doing such a fantastic job!👍🏻🍻

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but , we feel it’s needed.
The comics were ok.
The staff (especially the tall server) was very rude. Even the door guy had a bad attitude.
Kitchen - how do you mess up nachos?? Dude did.
They were told about an allergy and ignored it. The wings tasted like they were made in a microwave! Like. Really bad. Worst wings I’ve ever had. Over $100 bill. I left a tip even though I shouldn’t have.

This is probably the best bakery ever. I was looking for someone to make a cake for my birthday and I happened to stumble across this business. It was so easy to communicate with her and there were so many options to pick from which I totally loved. I sent her the inspo for the cake and she did amazingly well. The cake looks amazing and tastes amazing as well. The cupcakes were soo cute and tasted amazing too. All my guests loved them (i literally have no leftovers). Thank you so much for making my birthday one to remember! I recommend Yvonne’s delightful cakes if you’re looking for someone to make an event special.

This was truly a delightful place for me to get a dozen cupcakes yesterday. The celebrant loved the cakes! The person who attended to me at the shop was sweet and she was very helpful in explaining the different cupcakes! Service was friendly and cupcakes were delicious! I'll definitely make this place my go-to for cake orders and cupcakes cos their prices were also great!

Yvonne made our wedding cake and cupcakes! The flavour on our cake was incredible and it was so well baked and very moist. Our guests couldn’t stop raving. The cake and cupcakes were decorated exactly how I wanted it. We did a cake tasting prior to ordering and when I requested that she make the earl grey flavour stronger in the cake she absolutely delivered! Truly it made the night even more special. Last week, my husband & I held our destination wedding in Banff.

Being from Atlanta, we needed bakery recommendations and Yvonne's Delightful Cakes quickly rose to the top of the list.

We are incredibly grateful to have found Yvonne's as our wedding cake was a standout of the evening – as artful as it was delicious.

Our guests not only raved about how unique and lush the lemon cake (with lemon buttercream) was, they audibly lamented not being able to take a slice home on their flights.

Most impressive of all, was Yvonne herself. Although we were a small order, she treated us with the passion, joy, and attention of a 200 guest wedding.

Words cannot suffice to say how special and loved she made us feel every step of the way. We will always cherish our experience with her and know you will too.

We ordered a 1-tier wedding cake along with a variety of cupcakes for our wedding reception, and everything was absolutely perfect! The cake was not only beautiful and elegantly decorated, crafted exactly to our design, but it was also incredibly delicious, moist, rich, and just the right level of sweetness. The cupcakes were a huge hit with our guests; each flavor was thoughtfully crafted, looked stunning on display and of course, incredibly tasty!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for high-quality, great-tasting wedding desserts!

Food is expensive and they won’t allow you to grab juice with combo. Only soda. Grilled chicken was rubbery and not fully cooked or seasoned. Won’t come back.

If you're in need of a professional DJ service for any event don't hesitate to contact these guys; they are professional, punctual and above all else, friendly and very easy going
They arent the cheapest in town, but if you pay for crumb cake, expect to get just that..especially if you're planning a wedding, why would you ever cheap out on the biggest party that you'll ever throw? Weddings are the equivalent to the Superbowl of parties, best to make it beyond memorable and forget about getting your cousin with a Bluetooth speaker to run the dance 🕺🏽💃🏽🎶

Amazing florist! Lynn was so kind and called ahead of time to show us the flowers we ordered. They sent photos of the arrangement and followed our delivery instructions. Excellent service, and the flowers are gorgeous! Will definitely call on them again!

I ordered flowers for a friend last night for delivery today. Today I received a text message from Lynn with multiple pictures and letting me know they added a couple extra. The flower arrangement is stunning and the customer service with this florist is above and beyond. Also this is Valentine's week so I can imagine they are super busy. I cannot say enough nice things and if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Please keep doing what your doing.

A very gorgeous bouquet for Mother’s Day! I have a kitty at home and had to list a bunch of common species that I can’t take. Lynn was extremely nice and accommodating. Will definitely come back again!

Beyond what I thought it would be. They were absolutely beautiful and my Mom was delighted. We love the fact that they took the time to send me the end result before they were delivered. They went above and beyond what we expected. Definitely use this company for all your floral needs.
