We had dinner here on the patio. Its a beautiful spot with a view of the canal. I ordered the salmon dish and it was good. The sides were excellent, the fish itself could have used a little more flavour. I also tried my friend’s gnocchi and it was incredible.

Dining at this high-end gem was an absolute delight from beginning to end. Every dish was executed with precision, creativity, and an elegance that made the entire evening feel like a special occasion.

We began with the scallop toast — a stunning appetizer that perfectly balanced delicate sweetness from the scallops with rich, buttery toast and a touch of citrus. It was refined, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The Parisian gnocchi followed and completely exceeded expectations. Light, pillowy, and bathed in a savory, luxurious sauce — it was comfort food elevated to fine dining status.

For the main course, the striploin was nothing short of perfection. Expertly cooked, well-seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth tender, it was complemented by thoughtful sides and a sauce that brought everything together without overpowering the star of the plate.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable — offering pairing suggestions, checking in at just the right moments, and creating an atmosphere that was both polished and welcoming. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience, and it made a big difference.

This restaurant delivers on every level: culinary artistry, ambiance, and exceptional service. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-tier dining and memorable hospitality.

One Elgin is a wonderful restaurant serving delicious food that I strongly recommend. My dining partners each ordered a different main course (The Halibut, Salmon Striploin, Schnitzel and Gnocchi). I thoroughly enjoyed my Halibut: it was flaky with a tasty picata sauce served with baked root vegetables on jasmine rice. My partners also enjoyed their meals, but felt that they could prepare them equally well. As I say, they love to cook and I love to eat which may explain the different reactions. Service was attentive and friendly. I had high expectations for One Elgin and they were met. Pro tip - if its raining hard and you`re on the patio, avoid sitting under a seam in the canopy as you may get dripped on.

A few weeks ago, I had come to Ottawa to celebrate my 30th birthday and had chosen 1 Elgin as the place to attend for dinner.

This being my first fine dining establishment, 1 Elgin has significantly raised the bar for all fine dining restaurants.

The food and wine were absolutely delicious. I had never tasted chicken that was as juicy and succulent as the one I had that night, and the flavors accompanied by the papaya, mango, peanuts, Thai basil and the tamarind vinaigrette were a unique combination that worked really well together. Being new to the wine scene, the glass of Jackson Triggs was lovely, and it has become an instant favorite!

All that being said, what I will forever remember and cherish the most is the hospitality that was provided. Whether it was the personal wishes, or the collective while the servers sang me happy birthday, or Justin providing complimentary dessert and engaging in a wonderful discussion about the importance of celebrating and loving oneself - everything about 1 Elgin contributed to making my day feel even more special and significant.

Thank you to everyone from the chefs to the servers as well as upper management for the type of service you provide. You should be extremely proud, and if given a chance, I would absolutely revisit again!

The service is a standout, with the staff being notably attentive and mindful of our schedule, which was perfect for catching a show at the NAC. While the setting and service were excellent, the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The dishes were decent, but they lacked the "wow" factor and a certain depth of flavor I was hoping for. It's a beautiful spot for a pre-theatre meal, and the views alone make it worth a visit. If you're looking for a nice view and good service before a show, 1 Elgin delivers, but don't expect a groundbreaking culinary experience.

By far the nicest, coziest b&b I've ever stayed in, and my husband and I have done dozens. The common area is so comfortable and beautiful, we ended up hanging out there, playing pool and board games, and sipping their delicious coffee most evenings.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to literally everything.

The rooms are spacious, pleasant and clean. The pool was amazing on this scorching hot weekend, too, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub!

But what made the stay most wonderful were the new owners, Christina and Orlando. Thank you SO much for all your recommendations and being the warmest hosts! We'll definitely be back. (Hope you don't mind!)

Our stay at 1840 Guest House was perfect. Christina and Orlando were amazing hosts and made us feel welcomed. Our room was cozy, clean and quiet. We hope to return for a stay and enjoy all that Merrickville has to offer. Thank you for the hospitality. We recommend 100%!

We were travelling up the Rideau by boat and needed a place to rest after a steamy hot day. When we arrived at 1840, Christine and Orlando received us as if we were old friends.
The rooms were gorgeous- clean, spacious, well appointed as was the main reception area- complete with board games!
The oasis out back with sauna, hot tub and pool was an amazing reprieve from the oppressive heat.

The location couldn’t have been better- just a stone’s throw from restaurants, cafe’s and the locks.

Thank you again Christine and Orlando for making our stay here so memorable. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place right in the centre of Merrickville. Place is clean and with the spa amenities that you’d want to have for a relaxing weekend getaway. They also have snacks and coffee throughout the day and light stuff that you can get in the morning (yogurt, bar, fruit). The lovely couple who are the new owners of this inn was very lovely. Hope to come back in the winter!

This spot is a gem. Located in the heart of town. We stayed here on a bike trip, loved the pool and hot tub, cleanliness of guest house and the light breakfast. Christina and Orlando are super hosts, friendly, helpful and go out of their way to accommodate their guests needs.

Steve was such an incredible asset to our wedding! He is super friendly and responds to any emails/questions etc in a very timely manner. He is very professional and his software to pick songs and fill in your wedding details is handy and user friendly. He respected our ‘do not play’ list, and even checked with us about a few guest requests if he felt it didn’t match our vibe. When the time came for him to pack up and the end of our reception, we asked if we could pay him for some extra time and he did that for us! He was incredibly friendly with the guests and MC’d our night perfectly. We simply told him the kinds of music and vibe we wanted throughout the evening and he executed it perfectly.

Steve was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! He was our MC and DJ for our wedding and reception. Steve is kind, well spoken, knowledgable and has a great ability to read to room. The music was terrific and more than just the top-100 you hear on the radio these days. He played old and new, playing to the mood of the night. My wife and I are very happy with everything and would highly recommend Steve to others.

We had Steve DJ our wedding in June and he was fantastic! His music selection was amazing and was able to add in our requested songs along with others that got the guests dancing all night! I was amazed at how he was able to read the crowd and knew which songs would be hits and match the vibe! Our wedding guests are still talking about how great the music was! I would highly recommend Steve for any event!!

We recently had Steve from 2J’s DJ our wedding, and we’re so glad we chose him. Throughout the planning process, Steve was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful in coordinating all the key moments of the day.

During our final consultation, he made some excellent suggestions that helped everything run smoothly and stress-free. We filled out his planning form, and he followed our requests to a T even incorporating shoutouts on specific songs, which he nailed perfectly.

Steve kept the dance floor packed all night with a great read on the crowd and seamless transitions. The energy never dipped, and we had a blast right through to the last song. His pricing was very reasonable, especially considering everything he offers.

We had the pleasure of working with DJ Steve for our backyard wedding, and I cannot recommend him enough! During a 10,000-mile North America road tour, IQtargets Art Museum of Human Goals' curator visited the Canadian Geographic and Royal Canadian Geographical Society. (RCGS) to invite participation in and discuss the "Portrait of a Nation" artwork, I can suggest the place as an ideal destination for family visits.
Education, learning, art, sightseeing, cinema, and even a hall are all available in this space.
The exhibition, titled PRESSURE: James Cameron into the Abyss, is free. 50 Sussex Drive is nestled amidst architectural gems in the heart of the city, with parking readily accessible. The venue accommodates special needs with doors at the bottom, maintains clean toilets, provides an elevator, and boasts a friendly and supportive staff. For younger visitors aged 6-12, there are tailored education programs. Guided tours, a park zone, and prompt decision-making.
Special appreciation for Mr.John Geiger and Tatiana 🇺🇦 for commissioning an amazing artifact, a map of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada, starting at the end of the 18th century to today. It is a gesture of support by the RCGS for Ukraine.

Worth the short stop to see the Challenger exhibit about James Cameron's trip to the bottom of the ocean, Challenger Deep. Open until Sept 1st. Also, just a great location next to Rideau Falls and a wonderful view across the river to Quebec.

Awesome location that overlooks the falls and Ottawa River! Beautiful spot inside and great for hosting events. Gotta check this place out.

A beautiful location on the Ottawa River and nearby Rideau Falls. With lots of scenic decks and floor to ceiling windows it made for one of the nicest wedding locations i have ever been to. The meal was easily the best I have had at a wedding also!

Can't wait for this amazing venue to officially open!

Priya did an amazing job for our super special occasion; our 50 th wedding anniversary. Her ideas Were great and she did transform the place beautiful. We really were overjoyed with the results and our guests were extremely impressed and praised her hard work. Great job Priya. Thank you

We booked Priya – 613 Artistry more than a month in advance for our baby shower, and she backed out the day before the event.

There were no “constant changes” as she claims. From day one, we clearly said we did not want pink, or dark green balloons because this was a gender reveal. She stuck with her peacock theme anyway, failed to plan, and then tried to shift the blame onto us.

Deposit was never the issue — it was only mentioned once. The real issue was her poor communication, lack of planning, and last-minute denial, which has been absolutely brutal for us with the event so close.

Instead of delivering on her commitments, Priya simply gave up at the last moment. This was unprofessional, unreliable, and deeply unfair. If you are trusting her with an important event, beware — she can back out and leave you stranded.

Hands down the best in town! Priya did such an amazing job for our baby shower. I always dreamed of having a pretty setup created for our baby shower and Priya did just that - transformed my dreams into a reality, full of Blooms, Butterflies and Bows!

I wanted a digital floral arch - Priya customized it for us! The colour combinations of the balloons and blooms were on point. She took the time to visit the venue in advance and plan for the event accordingly. Everything was setup before time. Her efforts in this beautiful decor were well appreciated by all our guests as well!

I recommended this guest house. we stayed here for 5 nights during Christmas holidays.
Owner of the guest house in very kind and amazing person.
He helped us for moving the luggage to the room from the car.
Owner allowed us to park the car in the covered garage for 2 nights during show.
I have 2 years old baby and they provided us the baby crib and toys for the baby.
We booked the master bedroom with ensuit. They have a 65 inch tv on the wall in master bedroom .
This is new constructed house. House and rooms are very neat & clean.
All the Appliances are new.
Very safe place. Every room has own passcode lock.
As per the people commented on this guest house below, I did not find any thing horrible.
Other rooms were booked and there were no noise disturbance.
Laundry in free onsite.
They took $250 deposit and fully refunded at the time of check out.

Location away from the busy city, but close to everything; giant tiger, subway, starbucks, gas stations… you can enjoy lovely walk in the neighborhood. Deposit returned at the end of stay in October 2024. The owner is friendly, recommend to stay there.

First bad experience in Canada so far. Room was good, shared bathroom clean. Got double charged and scamed. The owner asked me to leave 5 min after check out time - thats no good service. He told me I should be thankful that he isnt charging me another late check out fee for those 5 min. (Cleaning Service wasnt in the house at all). Wow...

I had a horror experience with this property and I do not wish for anyone why I am writing this review. Long story making it short, after I paid through Expedia to book a room I was refused accommodation. To make matters worse they never refunded my money. I have been in dispute with hotel management and Expedia; they sent me one from another without any sign to refund me. They took my money and I got nothing!! Blatantly texting me that I cannot stay there. Because of that, I had to drive until 3 am in a terrible storm and find a hotel to sleep for a few hours. This horror costs me over $300. So please save yourself and DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

Brand new everything (bed is hard) bedding and pillows can be improved. Shared bathroom clean but no hook for towel no soap dispenser.

Tarron initially designed my wedding and engagement rings 18 years ago. They are beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Now recently I needed those same rings re-sized and he did an amazing on-the-spot job. Polished/cleaned as well and they look brand new. Definitely worth a call to visit!

Ashley and her boss was awesome I wasn't supposed to have my ring till Friday but I walked out same day.. properly fitted and shiny..even my wife walked out with a sparkly original one of a kind 14k ring... overall I would so recommend this place...they make custom things that are really cool...and customer service is above and beyond

They sell beautiful things, and I bought a Blu Dot bed from them about 3 years ago. It first broke (but was usable) a few months after it arrived, and they eventually repaired it at my place, so that was good. But then it broke catastrophically recently, and neither my email nor phone calls were returned. I was going to purchase a Blu Dot dresser from them too, but am now looking at other options.

very good service. I was offered to borrow chairs, bring them home to see if one would "fit" into our decor! Unfortunately the result was negative as we decided to keep our old chairs.

I stopped by looking for some new furniture after recently moving to Ottawa from Toronto. I never thought I would find in Ottawa a shop that could have been plucked right out King Street East. I can't wait for my pieces to come in!

This place is not worth the price. The whole house stinks. The room in which we stayed had a non functional tv which didn’t have a remote and whose size is that of a desktop monitor. Infact, the monitor is way bigger than the tv in the room. The shared washroom had cabinets which were broken and not clean with flies and mosquitoes The bathroom stinks. Driving from Toronto made me realize that I needed a comfortable place to crash and this place made me sick as I couldn’t sleep the whole night. The ac doesn’t work and the lady claims that the ac is working it’s just the heat wave. Seriously??? Totally disappointed and will not suggest this torturous place to anyone. Total disaster and thank God I fled even before the check out time.

Absolutely appalling. Never have I stayed at a hotel where everything was either broken, missing, or dirty. We arrived, one towel for two people, no toilet paper, no face cloths. Plus no AC as said on expedia, no breakfast service or coffee like was said, not to mention i had issues booking online, and when I called to confirm my booking they were wanting me to give my card info, I'm now thinking they were going to try to steal my info after reading comments???

There also seems to be a family permanently living who are allowed to let their 3 year old child scream in the public hall and run right in front of guest rooms at 9 AM.

I'm now trying to get my money back for my stay, the low price isn't worth the hot nights with no breakfast service as specified, and lack of privacy.

Do not book at this place! I made a booking through Expedia about a month ago for check-in today and it was prepaid on my credit card. This morning I got a phone call saying that my credit card didn’t go through and that they cancelled my reservation and gave my room to someone else. The lady was extremely rude and aggressive. It is impossible that my credit card declined and secondly, why is she checking it today? Also, how is it possible that she rebooked the room within five minutes of cancelling my reservation??? She clearly double booked! Worst customer service I’ve ever seen! Also, I have now been told that the rooms are filthy and that they don’t wash the sheets! Talk about dodging a bullet!

The service was good, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, I did have to wait a bit to get let in, which was slightly inconvenient. The price was very reasonable, which initially made it seem like a great value.

Unfortunately, the presence of bed bugs completely overshadowed these positives. We got bitten during our stay and are now dealing with the aftermath. While the service was nice and the price was good, the bed bugs made this a place I cannot recommend.

Joe and his wife were/are very kind, helpful and considerate. They have many great rooms, they have renovated bigger houses into smaller rentals that have everything that anyone would need and more. The location could not be better. The owners are great people and the most friendly that I have ever dealt with, and I have stayed at many other good places but Joe and his wife treated me and my children as family. I cannot say enough good things about their location, services, friendliness and rental properties. I have always recommend them to friends and family and always will. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews, negative and tired people always over exaggerate. The location is 5/5, service is 5/5 and rentals are 5/5.

Great place to take a stroll and just enjoy the sunshine. Stores and markets are a nice place to hangout and relax. There’s plenty of pay-parking. The building is beautiful old architecture. The surrounding area is worth a visit and enjoy the facilities

Beautiful spot to be an exhibitor! We rarely are in a venue with natural light, so this is my favourite! The beautiful outdoor farmer’s market on Sundays is an added bonus!

There always seems to be something happening at Aberdeen pavilion. Whether it's the 613 flea or the Farmers market, to cultural events, you can find something to enjoy. It's historical significance to Ottawa is also something to come and read about.

The beer and taco festival was held here and it was amazing 🤩 . I really had a nice time here with family and friends you will see that in my videos 😄😃. It’s really spacious with a lot of businesses on site. As the name goes beer and 🌮 so that’s what was sold in here. Your cash is being converted to plastic coins and that’s what you use to purchase food and drinks 🍺 . Cash only.

613Flea Market is great. Good deals too. Food is delicious.

We used the wonderful services of Party Time last week and not only was everything "as ordered and delivered on time" but the next day, we noticed that a couple of our own items must have been mixed up with the rental items when they were picked up. I called and spoke with Margaret who was delightful to deal with and when I came to pickup our stuff, there were more of our items included that we hadn't yet noticed were missing and everything was washed and packaged to return to us. Thank you to all involved for this excellent service!! I highly recommend Party Time!

ABP was absolutely wonderful to deal with, I rented the most gorgeous charger plates from them for my wedding. Communication was fast, prices fair and pickup/return super easy. Highly recommend !

Great place as they received my individual order as well as office/corporate/weddings. A large showroom is now being renovated to show what is available on a large scale (chairs, place settings, linen). Renting is good for the environment 😊

Party Time Rentals is an affordable place to get what you need for your event. We rented about $1800 worth of dishes, cutlery, chairs, etc delivered to our wedding.

A couple of negative points unfortunately:

1. The delivery drivers got completely lost and I needed to send someone to a common location to direct them to the wedding (which was at a Community Centre in a small town).
2. There were a few missing dishes and glasses. (The count was SHORT - ouch)
3. We had to do some dishes because some glasses were still dirty (lipstick stains, dried food, etc)
4. It took 6 interactions and multiple employees for us to get a full product catalogue.

I would suggest them if you are in a time crunch or on a serious budget otherwise spend the extra money for piece of mind in the moments before your event.

Accacia Bakery is an absolute gem! Their French pastries are exceptional , delicate, rich, and beautifully crafted. The baklava is perfectly crisp and flavorful, and their cookies are just as impressive, with a wonderful variety to choose from. Every item I tried was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. On top of that, the staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for top-quality pastries and Middle Eastern sweets, Accacia Bakery is a must-visit!

Absolutely love Acacia Bakery! Their French pastries, cookies, and especially the baklava are out of this world. The Lotus Biscoff pastry is a standout -rich, flavorful, and delicious. They have a great variety to choose from, so there's something for everyone. The customer service was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for top-quality treats and genuine hospitality!

Absolutely amazing Lebanese bakery! They offer a fantastic selection of pastries, kunafa, baklava, shaybieh, and a great variety of cookies — all incredibly delicious and freshly made. Every bite was rich in flavor and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The prices are very reasonable , and the customer service is warm, friendly, and attentive. A true gem for anyone who loves authentic Lebanese desserts. Highly recommend!

As a wedding photographer, Adelina is one of my favourite countryside barn venues that's just a short drive from downtown Ottawa. The property is absolutely beautiful and is a great blend of elegant and rustic. Highly recommend Adelina for any couples looking for a barn venue that's more upscale.

Just married! Such a special experience at the Adelina Barn for our wedding. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, and all of the recommended vendors were excellent. The host was so calm and reassuring, and her and the rest of the staff were so friendly, communicative and organized! Would 10/10 recommend.

My partner and I recently (July 19, 2025) got married at Adélina and were so happy with our experience! The venue was so beautiful (the gardens in July are amazing!), the staff were incredibly kind (catering done by Thyme & Again), and the whole day felt seamless (or as seamless as a wedding day can be baring a few minor hiccups - nothing to do with Adélina!) from start to finish. Michèle, the venue coordinator, and her team were helpful, organized, and supportive in the lead-up and on the big day itself. We had several calls with her to sort out details big and small and the Aisle Planner tool she uses is immensely helpful! Our guests had a blast, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated in such a beautiful and well-run space. Highly recommend!

I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner experience in Ottawa that truly deserves praise. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was refined and inviting—elegant without being pretentious. The service was exceptional, with Oliwier as our waiter. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, adding a personal touch that elevated the entire evening.

The food? Absolutely divine. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Everything from start to finish felt carefully
curated, and it was clear the kitchen takes pride in both taste and artistry.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for an upscale dining experience with charm and grace.

Top place to eat. The flavors are perfect. We did not do the tasting menu, but it looks like something that should be done.
Each course was better than the last. The lobster bisque was awesome. The oysters have caviar on the., adding to the flavor and saltiness.

The location is great also. Able to walk downtown to see parliament and all of the government buildings all are a quick walk from the restaurant.

I had to change my wedding venue last-minute, and Connor and his team helped us create something extraordinary. The restaurant was the perfect setting, and comfortably held our 100 guests. The interior was elegant and beautiful, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend AIANA for your next event or dining experience.

Aiana gives the air of a Michelin aspiring restaurant, which is not a bad thing. They live up in number of ways. They start with a complimentary amuse bouche, and end with complimentary chocolate bites. I ordered the ribeye. It was a delicious perfectly medium rare, but not what I expected. Elevated I guess, not a full sliced ribeye, but it was cut with into a few slices of lean meat only. The accoutrements were tasty - I particularly liked the lentils. The service was friendly and professional.

The only issue I had was with the wine menu. The waiter suggested a wine - a Pinot noir that would go well at the table with my steak, a salmon dish, and a mushroom risotto. It was about $180. We indicated we were looking for something less expensive, perhaps a Canadian Pinot. He replied there were none but found us a French one priced about $80, which was quite nice.

The wine menu was on a tablet, and I asked the waiter to leave it so I could have a closer look. I did a search for Canadian red wines under $100. There were none. The small selection of Canadian wine were $160+ . A wine menu should have a good selection of wines at different price points - Michelin star included. Needles to say I was very disappointed in the wine menu.

Fantastic restaurant in the heart of downtown Ottawa! We had the tasting menu, which was delicious, and well crafted. They had to modify for my allergy, and for the most part accommodated well. Highly recommend going for the cocktails and atmosphere alone! Lots of space at our table, and the care taken place for all of the food was easily noted.

I can’t thank Akke Jewellery enough for the incredible job they did on my fiancé’s rings. I reached out with a very short deadline, and despite the tight timeframe, the owner Johnny delivered a stunning piece that exceeded all expectations. The craftsmanship is absolutely beautiful — elegant, detailed, and truly one of a kind. Thanks to his dedication and talent, I was able to take the ring with me to Lebanon and propose. I’m beyond grateful for the care and effort that went into making this special moment possible.

I enjoyed my dinner at ALE last night. The covered patio was toasty, comfortable, and lit beautifully when the light began to fade. Our waitress was attentive and upbeat and the food was delicious. Get the Ginger Spice Cake for dessert.

We got married at ALE in September 2024, and we can't thank this venue enough for making our day absolutely perfect! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly. First off, Ben is an absolute ALL-STAR when it comes to every little detail on your big day. He’s there every step of the way—holding your dress, fetching water, assisting with photos, answering questions, directing guests—you name it, he does it. His dedication made such a difference, and we truly couldn’t have asked for better support. The entire ALE team was an absolute pleasure to work with—attentive, kind, and incredibly organized. They handled everything, from the stunning decor to the delicious food, making the entire planning process stress-free. Our wedding had about 80 guests for dinner, plus 20 more in the evening, and the venue was the perfect size for our group. A huge bonus is that it’s located on a gorgeous golf course—they even close off a hole so you can take sunset photos! The garden ceremony space was equally stunning, creating the most beautiful backdrop for our vows. There is so much I could say about how happy we are with our wedding at ALE in June 2025. Leading into a wedding there is so many causes of stress. From finding vendors and organizing the timing for when to have things ready and ensure they are setup on time. The team you have behind you on your wedding day sets the tone for how the day will be. The team at ALE offers so much support and that team starts with Ben.

Ben is a man of many hats, following our wedding I don't know what I should call him: Wedding planner? DJ? Bartender? Friend? Our wedding went perfectly and we were able to focus on the day, and just be present and enjoy it. So much of that is attributable to Ben. His care and his attention to detail truly ensured everything went smoothly. Ben was always 3 steps ahead of us, ensuring everything stayed on time. He took the schedule in hand, wrangling family members, photoshoots and kept everyone where they had to be when they had to be there. We were able to focus on the wedding and simply enjoy our day. Ben made sure we had moments to just enjoy ourself, enjoy our food, and be free from the pressure.

ALE itself is a beautiful venue. The golf course offers the versatility to take photos in many equally beautiful locations. For golden hour photos, there is no better setting then an empty gold course, with flowers and lakes to be next to. The kitchen and all of its staff showed so much care in preparation of all our food and appetizers. As we had several guests with dietary restrictions like celiac and nut allergies, it can always be stressful to find the right place. We never had a single concern as they were attentive to all the details leading up to the wedding. The bar offered great cocktail options for cocktail hour and fantastic service and efficiency all throughout the night!

A team with a great leader is still never successful without a great supporting cast to back them up. Credit to all of the staff at ALE who treated everyone with respect and were friendly, quick and helped make our day perfect! Thank you all so much! ALE is an amazing restaurant, and also a wonderful wedding venue. My spouse and I had our wedding in October 2024, and the experience was everything we could have hoped for. As vegans something we valued was a completely vegan wedding, but even our non vegan guests had a blast! We would highly recommend for a night out or for a special event!

Ana was the most amazing and knowledgeable agent! She took an incredible amount of time answering all of my questions and providing recommendations for our Mediterranean cruise, which turned out to be a trip we will never forget! 10 - 12 years ago I used Algonquin travel for a trip to Panama & the following year to St. Lucia. Both were well done & professional.
I would commend the agent but have forgotten their name.

As a result, this year 2024, when my family required a flight to Singapore in late March & an inclusive vacay to Dominican Republic in early April we visited this travel agency again.

Although the agent was extremely rude, condescending, abrupt, impatient & made many errors, we did finalize tickets because our time was limited. We have a very ill family member that needed our attention more than finding a professional agent.
We will not use Algonquin travel again.

We booked several trips through Algonquin Travel. We dealt with Elaine Simpson each time. Due to COVID, our trips were rescheduled and then cancelled completely due to health reasons. She handled our requests efficiently and professionally. A lot of effort went into the complicated scenarios she had to deal with at the same time that she was juggling numerous other travelers and their trip requirements.
