My experience at Blush & Raven was exceptional! I had scheduled my initial appointment, and a dress from a designer they carried caught my eye online. I emailed them to see if they had it at the boutique, and they didn’t. So I asked if there was any way that they could have the dress brought in, thinking it would be an immediate ‘no.’ They told me they would see what they could do. Fast forward to my appointment, and they brought out a few gorgeous dresses that were top contenders, and I had assumed they weren’t able to bring the other dress in. Sure enough, after a bit of time, they finally told me they had the dress there!! That dress ended up being the one I picked, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the B&R team for making it happen. The boutique is stunning, the dress options are gorgeous, and the customer service is unmatched. I would highly recommend B&R to all brides looking for a curated and seamless experience.

I cannot express how grateful I am to have had such a wonderful experience at Blush and Raven. Yasmeen is an incredible stylist - so good at what she does - and really did go above and beyond to help meet my criteria while also working with a very short timeline. I felt entirely taken care of by all of the girls at Blush and Raven and really did feel that they’d do everything possible (even if it seemed impossible) to help me find or create the dress of my dreams. Given how quickly I required a dress, I really don’t think I’d ever be able to have the full wedding gown buying experience, but these girls gave me that and more, and I will be forever grateful.

Blush & Raven is a must! I had an amazing bridal shopping experience here and it was such a special day. The boutique itself is stunning, very modern and beautiful. I opted for a luxury appointment and am so happy that I did. The room was beautiful and the refreshments provided were perfect. When we arrived we were greeted by Yasmeen, who was a fantastic stylist. She had an interview with me at the beginning and really listened to what I was asking for and the styles I was interested in, and throughout the appointment she pulled a range of dresses she knew would be perfect for the wedding venue and vibes. I really appreciated how she made sure to get to know both myself and the group I was with, and my whole group truly loved our appointment. During the whole process Yasmeen made me feel incredibly comfortable and beautiful, and her expertise on not just the dresses and any alterations we could do but also the overall bridal styling and accessories was amazing. While I didn’t end up buying my dress from here, this was a boutique I will recommend anyone. If you’re looking for a personalized shopping experience, with Yasmeen as your stylist you are in great hands!

This place is just the best ever. I wak in and i can smell the delicious food coming from a mile away! My son loves Their Pepperoni pizzas. I personally think the Salmon Power Bowel is a good choice for food!

My friends and I were window shopping on Monday August 11th and were curious as to where the staircase next to Boutique 1861 would lead to. We soon learnt that it lead to Boudoir 1861, the bridal sister shop of Boutique 1861. We arrived close to closing time, but the two female staff were very kind and accomodating. Upon entering my eyes kept wandering to one of the dresses on a mannequin. The staff help in making sure it fit well and suited my needs, which convinced me to make the purchase. Thank you again for the friendly and welcoming customer service! Especially as a younger group it was greatly appreciated.

I fell in love with a dress and ended up buying it!! Only thing is the employees were lacking is service. I didn’t take an appointment and there was 3 sales associates that were dealing with another client and I was stuck clamping my own dress and getting my own veil to try on. Instead the sales rep is snacking in front of clients instead of helping. Over all I am happy with the dress I just think the staff should be more present with the bride…

I just wanted to express how amazing my experience has been at 1861 the past several times I’ve gone! I also want to thank them for ACTUALLY being size inclusive!! I am a size 18/ 20 and normally I dread shopping because there is not enough selection in my size and it’s usually not very fashionable or stylish. But this wasn’t the case for me yesterday. Two women really took care of me and found a selection of 10 dresses I could try on! Now, not all of them fit but I actually had some amazing choices! I am elated at the dress I found as well as the entire shopping experience, I am so grateful!

What can you say to describe Maren? Talented, gifted and professional don't even begin to cover how wonderful Maren is at what she does. She is hands-down the best decision we made during our wedding planning. She is professional through and through, always answering any questions, giving much-needed advice and insightful guidance. From the start, Maren gave us such confidence and peace that our day could be trusted with her. Throughout the planning process, Maren's care, attention to detail and industry knowledge were priceless. Our Wedding day was seamless, and as a Bride, I mean it when I say I had 0% stress on the day. Maren put out fires and anticipated issues without us even knowing, all while ensuring the day ran smoothly and that we had the best time possible.

Maren navigated complex decor requests, working tirelessly to find a solution so that we could have our desired decor in the venue. She visited the site, contacted the owners, and when we arrived, our jaws dropped at how well Maren had executed the vision.

Maren went above and beyond with all aspects, ironing out the smallest details and hiccups. She even took our overnight bags to our hotel during the day, on top of all the decoration coordination, schedule maintenance and much more.
This was so special and proved again why Maren was the best decision we made.

It meant a lot that Maren ensured we had food throughout the day, checking in that we had gotten a chance to drink our champagne, eat our hors d'oeuvres and grab a cocktail.
We honestly felt so present to one another and our guests because of this.

Truly, I mean it when I say don't bother looking elsewhere for your coordination needs, Maren is the best in the business.

TLDR: Besides an open bar 😉, hiring Maren was the single best investment for making our wedding dreams come to life.

As a groom, hiring a wedding coordinator/planner seemed like an unnecessary expense -something a smart, organized couple could hand on their own. And to be fair, if you hire the wrong person, that might still be true. But Maren is absolutely the RIGHT person.

We were planning our wedding from Florida, nearly 3,000 miles (4,800 km) away from Banff. Doing that without someone on the ground seemed daunting. We reached out to about ten different planners across Banff, Canmore, and Calgary. A lot of them sounded the same and had similar common ‘glowing’ reviews— “extremely helpful and attentive”, “goes above and beyond”, “very responsive and organized” — which, while reassuring, didn’t help us distinguish one from another or help ensure we were getting the best value for the right price. What really sets a coordinator apart is experience, honesty, and trust. That’s where Maren shines.

Maren has extensive experience – first working in the wedding industry on the venue side before starting her own business as a coordinator for the couples looking to get married in the Bow Valley area. She has worked with both small and large budget weddings, with ranging guest-sized weddings at almost every venue possible in the area. Throughout the planning process, we had the opportunity to get to know both Maren and her husband (to be) Max. Both of whom are genuinely amazing people who have become life-long friends and the bonds we formed with them extend far beyond the wedding planning process.

What makes Maren unique is her ability to (tactfully) give her honest opinion on all decisions. Even though we technically hired Maren for day-of coordination, she became our go-to resource for vendor quotes, decor decisions, and even activity suggestions for our families during the week. Most couples only plan a wedding once—Maren has done it over 150 times. When a vendor quote seemed high, she helped us negotiate or find better alternatives. She is 100% on your team, and although she does have a great vendor list of people she’s worked with in the past, she is not biased to them and will always make sure you have the best product for your big day. One example that stands out: we had a questionable plan to move 100 chairs from our ceremony to the reception space. Maren didn’t just raise a red flag—she came back with five better options, complete with logistics and pricing. Her honesty and problem-solving turned a logistical headache into a simple, elegant solution. That kind of proactive communication is rare, and it’s exactly why we trusted her so completely.

A relationship built on trust with your wedding coordinator is crucial, it takes time to be formed during the planning process so that on the day of your wedding you trust them to make decisions on your behalf. On our wedding day, I think the only decision I made was saying “I do”. Maren did everything else: coordinating vendors, wrangling an 8-person band, managing setup and teardown, keeping us on schedule, and even handling tipping. Only the next morning did I fully realize how crucial Maren was to our special day, our master of all, behind the scenes making sure everything was perfect!

If you’ve made it this far you probably get the idea that Maren is a very special and talented wedding coordinator, and you would be lucky to work with her in planning your wedding. She currently leads every wedding herself and limits the number she takes on so each couple gets her full attention. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if she expands her team soon and starts training someone to take the lead on a wedding or two. We were lucky enough to meet two of her great assistants (because of the size of the wedding), Harry and Laura, and they were both fantastic support on our wedding day!

We were coming to the Bow Valley from out of town and didn't know much about the local vendors for an October wedding. We took advantage of Maren's full wedding planning service and she was a huge help in connecting us with the vendors we needed, including some that we would have never found on our own! She assisted us for both our welcome reception and wedding day. We appreciated how she was very conscientious of both our budget and our needs and wants for the wedding. She even laid out contingency plans in case of bad weather given the time of year (Turned out our wedding day was a perfect weather day despite the constant rain throughout the week). Maren was great to work with during our planning, and was very down to earth, reassuring, and very responsive. She also kept us on track in deadlines and tasks, which we definitely needed in our busy work schedules. Even when I had a dress crisis, Maren was there to help connect me to the local tailor. Overall, she executed our vision amazingly! Our guests were all hugely impressed with the wedding and how well all the small details were handled, which Maren was able to take care of while my husband and I focused on getting married! We'd HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to get married in the Bow Valley area.

From the moment we spoke with Maren, we knew we were in the best hands! Her warmth, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail turned what could have been a stressful process into a joyful and memorable experience. For Maren, wedding planning is not just her job - it’s her passion.

Maren truly went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. She started with an initial call to help us understand her process and what she would be helping with as our day-of coordinator. However, she went far above and beyond by offering her help throughout our planning process with recommendations and tips that saved us a lot of time, effort, and money.

She took the time to listen to every idea we had, and whether it was coordinating with vendors, managing timelines, or calming our nerves, Maren handled everything with grace and a smile. What stood out most was how much she genuinely cared about us as a couple. She took the time to get to know us and our story, and it showed in every little detail of the day. It felt like we had a close friend by our side, ensuring everything went smoothly.

She painstakingly took the time to set up our decor exactly the way we wanted it, with impeccable attention to detail (see the photos of her setup!). Then, she also helped to take everything down neatly and store it away for us at the end of the evening.

Thanks to Maren, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the most important day of our lives. We cannot recommend her enough to anyone planning their wedding. Maren, you are a true gem, and we will always be grateful for everything you did to make our wedding unforgettable.

If you are a bride on a budget with champagne taste (or looking for a grad gown) I highly recommend checking out the dresses and working with Sunny to customize an option. I had a very horrible experience with this company, we dealt with Ali from sales, we had purchased too many of a regular stocked item, he had agreed to return the product and provide a full refund. We dropped the product off, but they wouldn't provide a refund, we have been following up week after week for six months now, we keep getting the same answer "let me look into that and get back to you" still no response after six months.

I notice from the other reviews; other customers are having similar issues. I would not make any additional purchases with this company and am in the process of registering a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, very bad business practices and horrible customer service.

Look at other options, there are other great companies out there that don't purposely take advantage of customers.

I had the most amazing experience at Cameo and Cufflinks! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel so special and welcomed. Suzie helped me find the perfect dress, even though I came in very unsure of what style I was looking for. The selection was gorgeous, and I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. When it came to alterations, they worked wonders and quite quickly! They made sure my dress fit like a glove and it was absolutely perfect for my wedding day. The attention to detail and the care they put into both the dress and the alterations was beyond what I could have hoped for. I felt so comfortable and beautiful in my dress, and I can't thank the team enough for helping make my dream wedding a reality. Highly recommend to any bride looking for a perfect dress (at a reasonable price) and impeccable service!

At my very first appointment, Ida was the associate that assisted me. She was patient and accommodating as I shared with her my inspiration photos and what kind of style I was hoping to find. She helped me look through the different designers and would offer suggestions based on what I liked and what I didn't. My favorite part was getting to look through the dresses on my own - something that other boutiques did not offer. Once I purchased my dress, I was kept in the loop on its update and arrival. It came exactly when expected and I proceeded into alternations on time. Every fitting I had with the seamstress was straightforward and simple. She was even able to create custom sleeves upon my request using the extra fabric. Ida was there to see my final fitting and she helped me steam and pack up my dress and veil. I'm so glad I got to start and end my wedding dress journey with her! Her calm and sweet presence made my experience so positive which made me even more excited for my wedding day. I had an amazing experience at Cameo! The dresses were all what I considered to be reasonably priced and almost all were within my budget (which was not extravagant). The selection was incredible, and how cool is it that they carry local Calgary designers like Lis Simon? I purchased my dress in November and it arrived in March, pretty quick turnaround for wedding dresses. The salespeople were wonderful, not pushy, let me look around as much as I liked and provided insightful information. They also didn’t try to hide the prices like some places do. I even got my alterations done in store, and both the seamstress and store owner were so easy to work with and transparent about the cost. I can’t say enough good things about the store, and I’m excited to get married in my Cameo dress next week!!!

I honestly don’t even know where to start because this appointment was everything I hoped for and more. I forgot the consultants name but she worked August 23, 2025. She was so sweet and caring, especially after I shared some of the negative experiences I’ve had with dress shopping before. She kept checking in with me, made me feel completely comfortable, and honestly made me forget all the stress I walked in with.

When I found out they didn’t have the dress I had fallen in love with last year, I thought my heart was going to sink — but she turned it around and made the whole experience so special. She pulled a dress that ended up being my actual dream dress, and funny enough, I think I love it even more than the original.

The best part? She never pressured me to buy right then and there, which was such a huge relief after the pushy appointments I’ve had in the past. That honestly made all the difference and confirmed my decision 100%.

I left in tears — but happy ones — because she completely changed what could have been a stressful day into one of the most special memories of my wedding journey. Truly 5 stars, I can’t recommend her enough.

I had a very disappointing experience with my semi-custom gown from Cameo & Cufflinks. The dress I received was not what I ordered. The neckline was loose and unstructured, and the skirt had visible puckering. I flagged the issues immediately, but my concerns were downplayed. Two separate seamstresses later confirmed the dress had construction flaws. Initially cameo committed to supporting having the issues fixed but walked that support back. I received conflicting responses, unanswered emails, and shifting explanations. I paid for all alterations myself to make the dress wearable. I was eventually offered a small reimbursement, but only if I signed a non-disclosure agreement, which I declined. I wouldn’t recommend this store based on how the situation was handled.

All the parts staff and techs at the mechanic shop here are top notch, I was actually really upset initially because I dropped my truck off somehow they order the wrong part, but they couldn’t put my truck back together with the old parts and it was gonna be a few days for the new part, so understandably, I was a little pissed….
It’s the way that they dealt with and handled the situation that makes me give them the five stars, they were open and transparent about it, they owned up right away to me, with a detailed explanation of what happened and even just the real time problem-solving demonstrated by the staff there, to move things around to get my truck done for me in time so I wasn’t left without a vehicle was impressive.

So as far as Business integrity and customer service, five stars for sure

Canadian Tire mechanic shop- I went in to get my alternator replaced. First off, my appointment was at 1pm and they said it would be finished later that same day, well 6pm rolls around and they call me saying they can't finish it because it's too much to do, even though there was only 1 vehicle before mine, this didn't bother me too much knowing how difficult a BMW can be. Anyways, I go to pick it up the following day and all seems well but there's still a squeal coming from what I'm almost positive is the serpentine belt. So I call them back right away and ask to bring it back in to have the battery and belt checked, not only can I not bring it back that day but I now have to wait 4 days to bring it back, so I do that, I bring it back today, my appointment was at 2pm and they said it would take about an hour, an hour and a half after it's supposed to be done I call again to ask for an update on when my vehicle will be done and they proceed to tell me that my pulley tensioner is shot and my serpentine belt has a flat spot. 1. They Just replaced my alternator, meaning they had to take that belt off and put it back on, but supposedly didn't look at the belt at all while doing the alternator so they didn't bother to fix it, aswell as the fact that they didn’t notice the pulley tensioner was in their words “shot” not slightly damaged, shot. 2. Every other shop I have been to, in this scenario, would have replaced the belt put it as a extra charge and explained it to me when I picked it up that it needed to be changed anyways. But instead of doing any of that they now want me to book my car back in and pay another $500 on top of the $500 I just spent literally 4 days ago. For something they should have been smart enough and professional enough to fix while doing the other repairs... I think this is absolutely ridiculous and super unprofessional of them to even put a bad belt back on a brand new alternator and then expect me to pay the same price I paid 4 days ago for what will be pretty much the same work. Not to mention the fact as I was leaving I hear someone in the parking lot saying how he had his tires changed and they didn’t even rotate them!! Another thing being them wanting to charge me another $135 after having my battery and belt checked, during my first appointment I was told that I could come back to have it checked for free. On the day I picked it up the mechanic told me I could either leave it there for another 4 hours (on top of the half a day longer they already took) to charge it fully and at that point they could check the battery, or I could take the car and in his exact words “drive it around for a couple days and it should charge back up” which yes it did, but it still kind of offends me that they tried to charge me on a courtesy offer especially when it’s something that a real professional would have done in the previous appointment.

Hey I don't know how to add a new review so I'll just ammend this one. I'm kind of disapointed becuause of a few things. First, I sat and waited for 5 hours for a part to be installed that didnt work. Thats no problem as it's not their fault. So I waited a couple more weeks for a replacement part and booked an appointment and made it for a Thursday as I had rodeo tickets for the wednesday. So the wednesday comes and they call and were unfriendly and said no i was wrong it was for wednesday, even tho I had it written in my google calendar, outlook calendar and paper calendar for the thursday. So another week goes by and I bring the car in. I was quoted around $500-$550 to repair the AC compressor and install and it came up to around $1000. I had paid a 330 deposit and I had a hard time convincing them of that but they finally saw that. Anyways a thousand bucks in, a month and a half of waiting and as of today, my AC does not work. blows hot air. I called today to mention and they dont have a record of me being there (i called from work and my reciept folder is at home so I will have to check). I have been a loyal customer for many years and have always come back but this go around I have been treated poorly and like things are my fault. The man on the phone today was rude and unfriendly. I guess since Canadian Tire has my money already, they dont want to help keep a customer happy by helping. I'll find another place to sort this out I guess. Its disapointing becuase theyve always been so awesome until now. Axel is the only one with great customer service.

I have had my vehicle serviced there in the past but I haven’t had a chance to go again until recently. My vehicle was taken in and my service advisor, Axel, went above and beyond and did everything he could to make sure I was taken care of and that my car was receiving the right care and details. I’m really grateful and I would recommend Canadian Tire service and especially Axel to everyone.

This store is a nice smaller store, but it is reasonably stocked. I made a purchase here and needed to return it, and the staff went out of their way to do the return.

On our way across Canada, we had to stop because we experienced a problem with our vehicle. They took us in earlier then what they told us it would be, it was fast and easy. They didnt do the repair since it was an 8h job, but they advised us really well and took the time to check out our car. Thank you!

I can’t even begin to put into words how incredible this team of lovely people are. They made all of our wedding dreams come true with ease, grace and thoughtfulness. All of worries were solved before they could become a rolling ball of stress. All of our guests were in awe of the simple beauty and attention to detail. To say we loved our day is an understatement. We arrived to the most beautiful picnic, perfectly set up with everything you could dream of! Cannot recommend Captivating Occasions enough! We hired Lexine and Amanda as our day of coordinators and they made everything before and during our wedding so fun and so much less stressful. They go through every detail you can think of about 3 months out and it really helps you gauge where you’re at with planning. Day of they took care of everything from logistics to making our reception venue decor dreams come true. Amanda and Lexine are single handedly responsible for the stress free wedding day that my husband and I were able to enjoy. We spent a year planning our day and Captivating Occasions was right there to provide guidance all along the way. The spreadsheet that these two put together to keep our wedding day on track was so appreciated by not only us but all our vendors. Amanda and Lexine ran our rehearsal, set up our decor, ran our wedding day and came back late in the evening to take everything down and pack up. As the Bride and Groom we truly didn't have to worry about a thing all day and not to mention our parents and bridal party were also able to fully enjoy the day. Amanda and Lexine created a group chat with us and were available for questions leading up to the wedding, and also sent us a bunch of behind the scenes pictures and videos from the day of which was an unexpected surprise. We would recommend these two for any event!

For anything you need for your cellphone this is the place to go for amazing service. I live 40 min away in Calgary and I was told there twice that the phone could not be fixed after a water damage and it was fixed here at a very fair price. They have a a little while an employee that got the bad reviews now the owner is there instead. Great guy and great service, thanks!

Booked with Champagne Limos for my daughter’s 10th bday with some of her friends. A little cruise, a lot of music, little playground break - it was wonderful, kiddos had a blast!! Our driver was excellent!! So great and accommodating with the kids! Surprised us with sparking cider in champagne glasses! Were even allowed to bring our small pup along for the adventure! Would highly recommend!

Such a beautiful chapel! We especially love the stained glass ceiling piece, thoughtfully curated by the property owner. Who by the way is very down-to-earth, and is genuinely so happy for his clients. Nicholas made many suggestions to help in our planning stages, as we are unfamiliar with the area. We unfortunately had to change our wedding date (and our new date was unavailable). So, if you’re reading this, looking for a venue. October 25th 2025 is available (but probably won’t be for long, so reserve it while you can!)

I went here to try on dresses for the first time with three family members and it was a terrible experience. The woman working had no interest in even attempting to look like she wanted to be there and was absolutely useless. I would try a dress on and open the door waiting for her to come zip it up (as this was the process she explained) and she would be sitting at the desk looking on her computer. One of my family members just zipped up my dresses instead. She had no feedback and no interest in asking what I wanted to be able to help me find a dress. We all left feeling disappointed with her service.

In this world of plunging neckline wedding dresses, Chic Bridal is a breath of fresh air! My appt was a lovely experience, the lady helping me was super helpful and friendly! They have a beautiful little boutique, it was so refreshing to have so many modest dress options to look at! I was worried that when I found my dress that it would take months to come in and I don’t have a lot of time because my wedding is in 5 months. Luckily my dress was in the colour and size I wanted in a warehouse already made, and with paying an extra $100 for a rush order it came in less than 2 weeks! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience for our wedding than the one we had with DJ Rob. We had him as our DJ from our ceremony through to the end of the night. He surpassed our expectations on every level, was incredibly professional and easy to talk to up to the special day, worked with us seamlessly on the logistics as well as playlist selections and the best part - the party could have gone on forever! We danced our socks off (literally - there was a part of the evening where some of us were downright barefoot) right up to the end of the night when the venue required us to leave, and even requested an encore! Our wedding night was beyond our wildest dreams thanks to DJ Rob. Even for the ceremony, he was willing to work with us to curate a mashup for the bridal entrance song and timed another song perfectly for our walk around the fire pit. His uplighting add on also added an unforgettable touch to our dinner space.

To add to the incredible experience - he was also our MC and did an outstanding job. The evening flowed beautifully from one aspect to the next and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We simply sent him the timeline and he was off to the races. Rob cares deeply about his clients having an amazing experience, and we will be highly recommending him to any of our friends getting married in the Rockies!

Rob DJ’d our wedding two years ago and I forgot to leave a review. I just realized rob and I are both SACT alumni from different periods and I realized I should have connected those dots sooner and also left a review.

Anyway, the wedding was great. Rob did awesome. Wish we would have chatted more but I let my husband handle this part of the wedding and he did so good without me that I didn’t realize we didn’t leave a review and I didn’t realize Rob and I had a funny little thing in common.
