Loved the place. Amazing prices, great staff. The service was very impeccable. The doormen and security was top notch and very kind and respectful.

The main server (A respectable man in a white shirt and tie with black goatee and black slicked back hair) gave me and my girls amazing service, by far the best I have gotten in a long time. He even went to the convenience store to get us something! Talk about a A1 service!!!

Everyone was smiling and even the owner would come out and talk to us.

This club is by far the best dance club in the city!

I’ve been to Salsathèque a few times with my girlfriend since we started clubbing. The place is pretty rundown and gives old disco vibes. There’s a $12 cover that includes nothing, and the toilets are awful.

We keep going back because the music is great. The crowd changes depending on the night — sometimes it’s young, sometimes older with people who really know how to dance, which we enjoy more. What’s nice is that people actually go there to dance, so you can just enjoy yourself.

Bottle prices are good and worth it if you’re with a group, since you also get a booth to sit at (something you don’t get with single drinks).

Overall, it’s not about the looks, but the music and vibe make it worth it.

Service was absolutely horrible, I was forced to pay cash even if they had the credit card machine available, I had to argue with the waiter to give me the correct amount of change, which he didn't do, and on top of that he forced me to tip him. We didn't get the drinks we asked for, the bathrooms were disgusting and it was ridiculously hot. Never going back, the only reason I'm giving one star is because the music was the only enjoyable thing.

I was hoping for more salsa and Latin dance music, but it was really just another club with a Latin touch to their DJ beats. Not what I was looking for.
If you're just looking to dance and aren't picky on music style, you should have a good time. Although the dance floor was a bit on the small side.

I gave it a star because that’s the lowest it lets me. Staff is horrible from door to table. They even take your baseball hat which is a deadly weapon where lm from. Musics good if you got all new staff might be half decent. Nothing on Singapore, Guyana and Thailand have them beat hands down.

I've been a regular here for so long and usually have an awesome time, but our last visit was disappointing. We were so stoked to see Gene Farris, but the sound was seriously off. The music even cut out a couple of times, which totally killed the vibe and we ended up leaving early. When you book big names like that, the setup needs to be on point to match the talent!

Also, the bathrooms could use some serious TLC. I really hope you guys sort things out because I love this place, but this last experience wasn't great at all

I had an absolutely amazing night out with friends! Nico De Andrea’s DJ set hit straight to the heart! The bar itself is stunning, adding to the whole experience.

Was very shocked and taken back but how rudely the woman at the front checking tickets thinks she is able to speak to costumers. Extremely disrespectful and really reflects on the establishment as a whole. We went in for an event and we let her know we were on the guest list and provided my partners name and my name. She looks over at me and says what’s your name I give it to her and she’s continues NOO WHATS YOUR NAME. And speaks to me like I’m the world’s dumbest human. My partner had to step in and again say what we had just told her, my name for the third time and she was not understanding. It was on the list she was just abruptly rude and arrogant. Would never go back.

I had the privilege of experiencing the Lavern DJ show at Sub Rosa, and it was phenomenal. Hari, the Assistant Manager, was a consummate professional, ensuring our bottle service evening exceeded all expectations. The classy venue, combined with the excellent staff, made for an exciting evening. I will definitely be back!

A couple of weeks ago, I had one of the best nights I’ve ever had. I came to Bleu to celebrate my birthday, and my friends surprised me with a section. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. We were greeted and taken care of by Isabella, who was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The music and atmosphere were amazing throughout the night. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly—highly recommend for a great night out.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out, this place delivers every time. The DJs never miss, Every time I’ve been, they’ve kept the energy sky-high all night long. It’s nonstop good vibes and seriously some of the best sets I’ve ever heard in a club.

I’ve gotten bottle service a few times and it’s always been such a fun experience. The staff goes all out with extravagant bottle shows that make you feel like a VIP every time. Service with is consistently on point — friendly, fast, and so attentive.

The bouncers make you feel super safe, which is a huge plus, and the management is amazing. They know how to handle any situation with professionalism and kindness. It’s rare to find a club where the whole team, from top to bottom, makes the experience so enjoyable.

If you’re all about great music, killer lighting, and a place that feels electric from the moment you walk in — this is the place. Highly recommend!

They use girls to steal your money!!!

They’re out to get you. Do not buy drinks for girls. Apparently, the club employs women who come in just to make you spend money on drinks and orders so the club gets more revenue. They invite attractive women who then lure you into buying the most expensive drinks on the menu—on purpose. You buy them a bottle, and then they disappear.

On top of that, the club adds a 20% mandatory tip along with the 5% tax. So whatever you order, be prepared to pay at least 20% more—because it’s Bleu. I thought nightlife in Calgary would be better, but Bleu is worse than anything I’ve seen.

Once you buy the drink, within minutes the girls are gone, and you’re left wondering what just happened. These women clearly work in tandem with the management.

Be safe out there, guys. Don’t fall for their scam.

We come to this place once or twice a month. We never do GA, only bottle service (minimum 3 and up to 5). Last night we came and started off with 2 bottles like we do every time. But here’s the issue, the first 2 are usually a little under $700 including the auto tip. So please tell me why my card has a charge of over $1,200 for the first order…
We always get good servers but this girl was the exception. She didn’t show me any screens and I just tapped (yes it has no tap limit). Didn’t offer me a receipt or anything. We come here often so my trust confidence is high that they never scam us which is why I didn’t check before paying. And then I don’t like confrontations about money so just left it. But that’s crazy. And on top of that the whole 2 hours we’re there she wasn’t even hosting us. Giving all her attention to the table next to us that didn’t order anything new from the time we got there at least. Did she make a mistake, did she inflate her tip. Who knows. Never going back.

Last thing. Whoever the DJ was needs to get fired. Every half a song he starts talking about things that nobody cared about. You could hear everyone around us saying play the music, what’s this guy doing etc.

I had such a great time at Bleu Night Club the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic! From the music to the lighting, everything is designed to make sure you have a great night out. What really made the experience unforgettable was the staff super professional, friendly, and always on top of everything. And I have to give a special shout-out to Vincent, the bartender. Honestly, the best bartender I’ve ever met! Not only are his drinks on point, but he’s also incredibly nice and makes you feel welcome the moment you step up to the bar. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy great music, amazing energy, and top-notch service Bleu is the spot. Can’t wait to go back!

Terrible place. I honestly don’t know how they stay in business considering every time I drive by it’s completely dead and the drinks are overpriced.

Dancers are mean and stuck up, half the time they won’t even come up and talk to you. I also think if you look super young (early 20s) they don’t wanna talk to young people for some reason. Waited 1 hour to get served a drink, only saw one dance in the 2 hours I was there which was disappointing. No lap dance and all the girls just stay close to the DJ booth and talk amongst themselves.

Summarized : Music isn’t that loud. DJ eats pizza all the time. Girls don’t come up to you and all huddle around the DJ booth. Server never comes around asks for drinks or food. Hardly any shows/girls on stage during the week. Girls are mean and don’t approach.

It’s was boring and I’ve been to better strip clubs I tell people don’t come here.

Thought we might have ended up here on a bad night but looking at other reviews, it seems the norm.

Sat on the tip rail on a Saturday with my friends and none of the girls engaged us whatsoever, and we were all tipping bills. I'm not one for the loonie game but I've been to the club before where they still talk and give you magnets, they all just booked it off stage when the last song ended. I had the nerve to ask for a magnet as one girl left the stage and even after tipping the whole time, still wanted $10. Fine, well the magnet choices were both AI images of herself with 7 fingers and misspellings. The magnet is falling apart on my fridge and I have magnets from 10+ years ago that are still in amazing condition. What a slap in the face to all the girls who have come before you!

Cant believe I'm complaining about this but we barely heard a peep from the DJ, didn't hear any of the girls' names and I wasn't even sure if they do VIP here or not? Drinks were slow and incorrect. The go-go dancers were all sweethearts and the best part by far.

It won't keep me from going to other FME joints but Ill never be back to West.

Definitely the best strip club in Calgary, this place is a hit or miss though. Most of the strippers and Go go dancers are very friendly and some are kinda rude/disrespectful. I like to come here on a weekend but the thing is they see a teenager and don’t come up asking if you want a dance. Don’t Judge a book by its cover baby

Fake beer and liquor!!! My personal opinion is that all the beer is not at all what it’s supposed to be. Fake and nasty tasing beer. I’m sure that they just use some cheap knockoffs. I had two on tap, Stella and Kokanee and both were nasty as hell. I know my beer and that was not Stella. Wasn’t able to drink the Kokanee Gold. Got a Corona a
In a bottle, and again it’s not a Corona. It’s a fake bottled citrusy beer, but not corona. Coctails are very bare and suck. I assume that they use really cheap liquor and just fill name brand bottles.
Other than that , the show was great good looking girls. Quiet atmosphere. Very respectful and not pushy if you just want to enjoy a drink the view but not interested in anything else.

Cool place and the girls are pretty but they also look miserable. Also, as two girls from Alberta it was insane to pay $25 plus a tip to just get in. And then give money to the bouncer before entry. The drink prices are overly expensive and being expected to tip on $5 shots it’s ridiculous. I don’t know how many times I heard the word tip, but it was annoying. Met one nice dancer in the bathroom. That was the best part of the night. I’ll stick to our more chill and friendlier people in Alberta

I’ve visited over 100 establishments worldwide, but this one stands out as the worst. I’ve never witnessed such desperation among the doorman and bartender, who were begging for tips. It made the entire experience unpleasant. I’m not stingy, but I appreciate the service provided. Perhaps the owners should consider paying their employees a competitive wage to avoid ruining their customers’ experiences. I feel sorry for the dancers there because they’ll likely end up making zero money.

The interior was awesome. Girls were pretty. However, charging 35$ to get in, and then 5$ just to ACCESS lap dances?? I’ll come back because I had like no money on me, but the entrance fee is crazy.

Had an awesome night out at Commonwealth Bar tonight, and it was everything I hoped for! The vibe was electric with the live music and that killer purple lighting setting the mood. I loved chilling with my cold Corona Extra, lime perfectly perched, while soaking in the crowd’s energy—perfect way to unwind after cruising around in my convertible. The downtown view from outside with those lit-up skyscrapers was a bonus, and the atmosphere inside felt so lively. Great spot for a fun night out—definitely adding this to my regular hangouts!

I recently visited Commonwealth Bar and Stage in downtown Calgary, and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was vibrant, with fantastic music and a spacious layout that made the evening enjoyable.

The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The live performances were definitely the highlight, showcasing amazing talent that kept the energy levels high throughout the night.

One thing to note is that they charge $5 to keep your jacket inside, and the counter accepts cash only, so be prepared if you’re planning to use this service. The entry fee was slightly higher than average, but for the ambiance and entertainment, it felt worth it. That said, I’d recommend arriving early to avoid long waits at the entrance.

I’m leaving a second bad review about this place because it’s a gong show.

We paid $48 to get into the basement on the long weekend. It was sweltering down there so we wanted to go outside to cool off. We asked the door people if it was okay and they said it was no problem. We were given wristbands so it was clear we were already inside and paid for tickets…
When going back inside they told us we had to go to the back of the line again, despite having wristbands. We waited over 30 minutes to get back inside and we were treated like garbage by the staff. They were so incredibly rude and also extremely slow with getting people checked in. It’s like they’re all zombies.
When we got back to the front of the line, I figured maybe they wanted us to wait to search us again, however they just let us in .. so they made us wait for absolutely no reason.

This place SUCKS

Guest list is a JOKE and a SCAM. Arrival time was before 10:30. My group had arrived at 10:10 we went to the front doors and were informed by the staff that we would need to line up at the back because there was an event no problem. We go to the back and are waiting inline for over half an hour and it was NOT moving. At around 10:40, 10:45 a worker came out and asked who’s waiting for guest list and sent us all BACK to the front before we went we asked him if we will still make it in because now it’s past 10:30 but we’ve been waiting. He assured us it would not be a problem and they will not charge us cover because we were on guest list awesome right? So back to the front we go to wait in another line! As soon as we’re at the door their demanding payment? We signed up for guest list for a reason the worker refused to get anyone higher up and refused to look at the guest list because “it was past 10:30” like yes because we were standing in a line that didn’t move for over half an hour. We then go out to the front and talk to the girl working there and asked her why this is such a disorganized mess and why we’re being forced to pay. No explanation given no reasoning nothing what a joke. If you sign up for guest list just know it’s a SCAM they’ll make you wait outside for over half an hour so they can collect payment from you anyways. What an absolute joke.

The bartenders are quick, professional, and genuinely friendly. One standout is Nadine, she always serves with a smile, keeps the drinks flowing effortlessly, and brings such a positive vibe behind the bar that you can’t help but come back for more. Security refused to believe I was the same person on my ID. I've had no problem with that VALID piece of ID they just all acted like I looked nothing like my own image. Meanwhile some guys with their own vodka bottle from home were let in. Not to mention securty just watching as women are groped and manhandled by strangers. L staff.

My friends and I weren’t even planning on doing bottle service, but so glad we did, and even more glad we got Melissa. From the second we sat down, she made us feel completely taken care of, without it ever feeling forced or over-the-top! We loved her service, and we can definitely see ourselves coming back!

Went to the Friday night rooftop comedy show - the show was cheap and fun, but the girl bartending seemed to have no experience with alcohol. We (and several others we observed) ordered gin and tonics and the girl instead made every single person who ordered a gin and tonic a tequila soda (she didn’t seem to realize the difference). She seemed stressed so we didn’t say anything but the venue should probably invest more in their staffing.

Went to the rooftop for a comedy show.
The setting is cute. The shows seemed like it was sold out but there was just one bar tender. On the show ticket, it was advertised as a full bar menu but they only had a few options. In addition, the drinks were very small for the prices, compared to what I'm used to in Montreal. The sprite was so flat, it tasted like water.

Will most likely find another location for the next comedy show.

Probably one of the worst clubs in Montreal. Bouncer is super mean for no reason. 1 single vodka 7 in the smallest cup and 1 double rum and coke was 49$ with tip. Music ranged from 2000-2015 not the greatest song choices. Spacious. Enjoy!

The vibe in there was awesome. It was better than some other clubs in downtown. However, the toilets were missing soap for washing hands, don't know why.

Also, there was another major issue, the drinks were too diluted or watered down. We ordered over 15 tequila shots and could barely even feel like we had any alcohol. I mean come on, after spending over $150+ per order, we'd expect a bit better quality than that.

The staff's behavior was good though!!

I live and San Diego and love Montreal and Stock Bar, though it's been a while and it has new owners. I look forward to going back.
I love the dancers, I'd be watching the show for two hours and always see a new dancer, always hot and usually hung. They do push for a private dance.
One time I said okay and told the dancers I had a ten song limit.
That's all I could afford,which was hard because they're so hot.
It's a fun atmosphere and the drinks are cheap, compared to San Diego, can't wait to go back.

AVOID THESE SCAMMERS. We went an hour before closing, paid full price, only to watch unattractive skinny gay dancers that aren’t fully stripped (despite labelled as strip club). I politely asked the owner for a refund, he refused, he said I just missed the show but the next performer is coming on stage in 2 minutes. It did. But still no “stripping”. I asked him again to for my refund, he ignored me, called mommy and daddy aka security and had me kicked out.

To me, it was a dream come true. I had jerked off to dancers from Stock Bar since my teenage days, so being all grown up, coming here was an item in my bucket list. And it didn’t disappoint. I had a really great time with many dancers who dance incredible and have nice chiseled bodies. Glad to see the guys are from all around the world and are usually pretty chill and approachable. Reading some recent negative reviews worries, I believe we should keep this bar going as it is a landmark in Gay culture. Will come here again in my next trip to Montreal.

Not recommended. Went there for an event, organizers told us that the ticket includes 2 free drinks. After paying online, by the door they told us tip is not included in the drink ticket, which was unlike any other similar event I’ve went to. Bartenders asked for tips BEFORE serving the free drinks and withheld service unless you tipped. They would give you dirty looks if you didn’t pay generously for pouring two shots of the same bottle and were extremely rude. I have been to enough bars and clubs in mtl to know that this is not how it works, and tip is NOT paid before receiving a service.
Event organizer was not aware of this and had to confront them. You are not welcomed there and will not have a fun time. Just don’t go. There are tons of better clubs with actual work ethics in mtl.

Went for boiler room. Wonderful experience. Kind staff all very helpful. For an event with 1000+ people expect a long wait for coat check. If you have half a brain you’d realize it will take long (last bit for savannah)

I came here for boiler room. Sound system is great + lights. However the coat check took over an hour in and an hour out -> it’s absolutely ridiculous and they need a better system. I would forego coming again due to this.

Horrible place to go and enjoy your self , Extremely dangerous ! the place had so many closed sections and not a lot of people , dance floor can hold 700 guests place has about 20 to 200 guests. The place is missing ambiance in general its not a wow! The music also was not great , i would say boring and just noise for nothing!!! We went to attend the trace unity party, DJ’s were super fun and we were having a blast, just that the place was so hot- it was unbearable for most of us that we ended up leaving in half time, just if they could have added more fans / air conditioning then it’d have been a perfect experience

Security guard (guy with manbun that looked lesbian) grabbed my friends glasses ($200) off his face and smashed them on the bathroom floor as he accidentally used a stall that was out of order (was in french, he couldn’t read it). He proceeds to stomp on the glasses and grab my friend aggressively by the collar while dragging him to the exit and screaming at him.

This is utterly dissapointing and shameful for a club in which safety and treatment of their guests should be at the forefront. We were treated with nothing but disdain and when we asked to talk with the bouncers concerning this we were quickly dismissed.

Please go to any other club that is not called ecole privee if you want to ensure physical safety and emotional well being. This club is pitiful and a genuine disgrace go the montreal club scene. List of clubs that are better include: soubois, cafe campus, jet, musique, palazo, or anything else down st laurent or matter of fact in the entire city

I always have a great service at ecole privée. Music is great if you love hiphop. It’s a nightclub, so for sure if you come in late, there might be no more place left. I suggest coming before 24h00 and well dressed and there should be no problem.

Deeply Disappointed After Spending Over $700 – Racism, Overcharging, and Zero Accountability

I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, especially after spending money at a business. But after two consecutive nights and over $700 spent at Boudoir Rouge, I feel compelled to share my experience—and warn others.

Let me start with the table service: When we arrived, the receptionist quoted us $90 for a table. We agreed and secured it, only to be told by the server that it was actually $120, claiming the difference was for “tax and gratuity.” We were given no advance notice of this change. It felt like a calculated bait-and-switch, a dishonest upsell with zero transparency. That was our first red flag, and unfortunately, things only went downhill from there.

The real issue came when we requested our cash change back, having already paid the server’s included gratuity. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, the bouncer was called over and we were kicked out of the club, with the excuse that we had “argued with the server.” That is absolutely false. We made a simple, polite request—and were removed for it.

There’s no doubt in my mind that our treatment was racially motivated. We weren’t loud, we weren’t disrespectful, and two of the four people in our group were completely sober. Yet we were treated as if we were causing a scene, while other tables—who happened to be white—were allowed to stay despite being much louder and more disruptive. This wasn’t just poor customer service—it was discriminatory, and completely unacceptable.

On top of that, we were sold 9 tickets but only received 8 drinks. When we pointed this out, we were dismissed rudely. No refund, no solution, not even a basic apology. Just arrogance and a clear intention to rush us out and resell the table for more profit. It was painfully obvious they were trying to maximize turnover by pushing certain customers out early, and our group was an easy target.

Frankly, I feel sorry for the hardworking dancers and staff who rely on tips and respectful clientele, because behavior like this—greedy, discriminatory, and unprofessional—drives good patrons away. I will never return to Boudoir Rouge and I highly encourage others, especially people of color, to think twice before spending their money here.

There are better venues in Calgary that respect all guests equally. This place simply isn’t one of them.

DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to be treated like absolute garbage. The dancers and manager accused me of being extremely rude and threatened to ban me because I did not tip. They were forcing me to give them a tip and I just wanted to relax at that moment, even bought an orange juice.

The lighting? Red enough to make you forget who you are.
The music? Low, slow, with bass that matched my heartbeat.
The performers? Let’s just say one of them locked eyes with me like she knew where I’d been… and what I’d lost.

I didn’t speak. Neither did she.
But when she walked past, she whispered, “You’re not like the rest of them.”

She was right. I wasn’t.

I’ve been going to the clubs for a long time now. I’ve had mix of good and bad experiences. I’ve made a few connections with the dancers and I love connections I’ve made with them. My visits to clubs are more dancer specific than club specific. Without the connections I’ve made with the dancers I wouldn’t have much of a reason to back. The clubs should be doing a much better job of marketing all the dancers. Based on the marketing for the club you wouldn’t know the variety of dancers they have. Unfortunately only a select few get promotion or marketing from the club. I also think they don’t reinvest the money they make back into the facilities of the club. Boudoir rouge is supposed to be the “high class” club but they have 2 holes in their roofs ceiling with water leaking everywhere. Also their private room all the couches are ripped up

This is probably the premier gentleman's club in the city. The unique stage configuration is something that gives this venue an interesting look. The staff and employees are great 👍🏼

Exactly what you would hope for from ANY business. So my recommendation for the best Calgary club is this location. Just west of downtown also provides you with an abundance of hotels, restaurants & fast food options in the neighborhood.

The drawbacks are:
1) Parking can be an issue
2) No real food menu

The vibe is excellent, the DJ is spinning really fun tracks and the crowd engagement is good. The dancefloor and lighting is cool. The drinks are ridiculous though. I do not know how "measured" pours can equal less than an inch (2cm) of liquor for a DOUBLE in a collins glass full of ice. That means less than 1oz (29ml)for $30 CAD. Maybe in Las Vegas or Ibiza that makes sense, in Montreal with a mostly empty club of about 30 people, not so much. So much potential, its just sad they waste it on scamming tourists with these joke drinks.

Was told by the guard $15 for 2 people in our group to check 2 hoodies and a ballcap. We ended up not entering. We were looking forward to enjoying classic 80s and 90s music but we did not meet the dress code. Not the chill environment we thought it would be. As we stood outside debating where we would actually go and spend our money, we saw security staff escorting out a very drunk lady and her friends.

My friend and I had an absolute blast at Electric Avenue. They play a nice variety of classic songs (e.g. ABBA, Metallica, The Weeknd, 50 Cent), as well as some latin and quebecois classics. The entrance fee was $12. Generally speaking, the crowd was a bit older, which makes sense given the catalogue of music that the DJ was spinning. If you are looking for a place to dance the night away to some great tunes, I cannot recommend this place more!

Went for a eurodance 90s-00s night, but from time to time there was music not from this time and totally different from eurodance, I guess it was fine since it was only couple times. My first bad impression was at the entrance where I was told I had to coat check my hat.... MY HAT! (I mean is coat check, not hat check) there was $5 unexpected dollars, which wasn't much for the money, but the experience of this moment went so down.

Music selection of the actual 90s-00s was very good! The DJ have to work a loooot on his DJ skills, meaning the mixing wasn't smooth.

Now the good side: The atmosphere was very good! sound was excellent and well equalized, 2 bars at the side very good to have whenever we walk around, bartenders were fast and always with a smile in their faces, dancefloor lights and the upper light things gave a groovey sense, very cool! I'll give this place another visit sometime soon :)

All the staff were friendly and attentive and the club was in mostly good shape and clean.

Gave the bartender a $20 for the beer and she was even hesitant to give me the $10 (bills) change, let alone the actual change. Just give me my money and I’ll decide what I put in the tip jar. Don’t just assume I want to tip $3 for you handing me an already over priced beer. Seldom do I actually get pissed off, but this was one of those few occasions — clearly from this review.

came to Amore Nights last night with friends, and ended up leaving within 15 minutes due to a really uncomfortable experience. I’d give zero stars if I could, but had to give one to write this review.

Our experience was pretty poor right from the get go in terms of communication, specifically regarding the pat down for entry. There wasn’t even a line, so I don’t understand why there seemed to be a miscommunication/lack of communication from the staff about what their security check was like. When we walked in security said it was a ‘bag check’ and then after they checked the security guard (female) asked to do a pat down. My thought was that it would be similar to an airport pat down, a little awkward, but just a quick + light skim. Instead it was aggressive with genitalia groping that went under my skirt and was completely unexpected + non-consensual. Really invasive for seemingly no reason, especially considering I wasn’t wearing baggy clothes at all. Even if I was, blatantly and harshly grabbing at my CROTCH was not what i agreed or consented to. We basically left immediately after that, sitting downstairs (in a completely empty club at 11:30 on a Saturday night…) for a few minutes and then leaving because my friends and I were uncomfortable.

So yeah, will NOT be returning.

This was one of the worst experiences.
There was so many people in the security and there was literally 10 customers inside.

They patted us down which was invasive and highly inappropriate. The security person said you and I are same gender. It was so inappropriate in so many levels as we thought it will be a regular airport check.
They did not have any metal detectors or hand detectors.

Next, they said they would provide a free champagne which was only a marketing gimmick. Then they said sorry we will give free drink but did not have ice. The coke the as flat. Overall it was one of the worst experiences.

We left the place soon.

I will not be returning and I will advise anyone who is planning to go against it. It is free but it will be you ruining your night.

My group and I came here for Caribana weekend and booked the Platinum Bottle Service package.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Security made many of us uncomfortable with how aggressively they patted people down — it felt invasive and was a clear violation, especially when they were going up near people’s private areas.

Even with bottle service, we waited almost 50 minutes in line to get in. You’d think the club would be packed with that kind of delay, but it wasn’t — and this was already around 1 a.m.

The service was terrible. I had to hunt down our server just to get the basic items that were supposed to be included in our package — things like Red Bulls, bottled water, and food. If I’m paying for bottle service, these things should already be at the table. There’s no reason I should have to chase anyone for them.

The pizza included in the package was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. It tasted like frozen pizzas that wasn’t even fully cooked in the oven.

To make things worse, gratuity was automatically added — $325, which was 18% — and honestly, the service didn’t even deserve 5%.

The overall atmosphere was just okay, but I will say the music was great.

Mixed feelings about this place as I was not happy with the way security was done. The pat down of customers is totally sexual in nature as they allow female security staff to check male customers, and this female will check between the crotch of male client, and checking inside your sneakers as if you’re going through airport security.
I am not averse to the security check but the manner in which it was done is out of place. Please note they have male securities standing by who can do thorough check with male client, or at least get a metal detector to help perform the security checks, rather than violating your client in the name of security.

I came here this past weekend with some friends. They check bags and pat you down before entry. This on its own wouldn’t be an issue, however when checking my bag they just shook my items and confiscated my lighter, but did not actually look inside my coin purse or anything. However when doing the pat down, the female security guard was very violating, and thoroughly felt up my genitals through my mini skirt, even going into my shorts underneath. I have never been so violated by a security pat down, not even at the airport. To quite literally grope me and touch my vagina but to not even fully look in my bag is insane, it didn’t feel like they were doing it for the sake of security in the slightest. Making it a female security guard does not change the fact that I was genuinely groped without even being made aware how thorough the check would be on my body, ESPECIALLY considering they did not even completely check my bag. I am not the type to leave negative reviews, but I would give zero stars if I could. Ladies especially, please know and prepare to be violated for the sake of “security” if you do plan on attending.

Scam！Robbery！ Be careful of this place. The dancer told you the private price was 20. But When it finished, she asked for 80 because it had been 4 songs . She didn't explain this before. She said she asked me (but in fact she didn't) in the middle (after 2 songs) of the dance if I would continue and I answered yes. It is absolutely scam and cheating. Don't go to this place again.

Worst strip club I've ever been to which is a shame since it's in the heart of downtown. Dancers crowded bar so it's impossible to get a drink, and then when we sit and try to wait for the server she actually took our order and then sat down at another table and just didn't bring it. I've never had worse service at any establishment, strip club or not. The few performances we did stay for were also terrible. The dancers did not approach us either, likely due to being females. I would not go back, and do not recommend going. Going across the river to Gatineau to Pigale is worth the journey.

I went for my good friends bachelor party and my DD was denied entry for “being too intoxicated” after we had paid cover charge. Before I could even vouche for him they had escorted him out. They said the other members of the party were fine to enter. We refunded our cover charge and left to the NUDEN. We were easily going to spend 500$ lol profiling backfired on their part I guess .

This establishment has serious issues with theft, involving both staff and entertainers, and management appears to be aware but unresponsive. The DJ took my friend’s phone off the table while he was away, but thanks to tracking, we recovered it. When we reported the incident, the manager assured us he would handle it, yet the same DJ remains employed there months later, suggesting this behavior has been ongoing. The dancers also engage in dishonest practices—taking money directly from customers, pressuring them to pay more than expected, and even involving security when challenged. If you want to avoid being robbed, steer clear of this place.

Denied entry after having no drinks with Korean popcorn chicken at the Brig. Was denied by seemingly newish security guard for being too “intoxicated”. I had had one drink all day as I am viewed as more of a chaperone by the other members of our party. I find it hard to believe a drink with dinner made me “too intoxicated.” I am in Ottawa for a bachelor party for my cousin. The entire bachelor party (other than myself) got in but soon demanded refunds on their cover charges. Way to destroy 4 evenings with one prejudice judgement, Congrats on losing 500 bucks or more in possible spending. Perhaps the recent security hire should familiarize himself with what intoxication looks like as he seems to be struggling with this aspect of the job. If you want to have a fun bachelor weekend in Ottawa be prepared to seek out alternatives. I’m sure the Nuden is better anyways

One of our favourite clubs, my friends and I are here almost every weekend! The bouncers are always super nice, which makes for a great start to the night. Haven’t met friendlier bouncers anywhere else. The owner is also great, very involved and attentive. He’s always there and takes the time & effort to resolve any issues. Great price for drinks too, $3!!

Went here for my birthday and got a booth and bottle service. Had an absolutely amazing night! The staff is extremely friendly and the music was great! The bottles are also very fairly priced compared to other clubs in Toronto that charge way too much. 10/10 experience here!

Went last night. The doorman and bar staff were very nice and friendly! And the drinks are pretty cheap for Toronto. Those were probably the only positive things about my experience at Cake. It was small, hot, and packed. The crowd seems to be mostly young people and students, with the odd group of middle-aged people looking for a good time, I suppose. The crowd is mostly guys and quite a few creeps are among them. One of the security guards inside the club started flirting with me which I found hugely unprofessional, especially since security are people who are supposed to make you feel safe. The music started getting lame around 1:15am-- maybe a way to get people to start leaving ? This place was especially unworthy of the $10 cover. Was not impressed and probably will never return.

It is a cute club but the music selection could definitely be better. Definitely for more of a younger crowd. We were harassed by the bartender for not tipping even though we didn’t have cash on us nor was there an available ATM at the time? The club was packed Im sure we did not put a dent in his pockets. The music was great and prices were decent but my boyfriend was told he had to leave and was given no reason why. He wasn't that drunk. Not stumbling or being aggressive, nothing. A group of us were seeing many ads online about this ship escape room and decided to try it out despite the negative reviews on google.

It was quite fun, challenging and interactive. It’s about a hour and there’s lots of free parking nearby. They are now certified by Transport Canada therefore, the ship did set sail which added more fun to the experience. The crew was very friendly and all in character!

I highly recommend this escape room if you’re looking for something to do with friends and family.

Absolutely do not book with Escape the Ghost Ship. We paid for a private booking for a bachelorette party, 20 people at $59 each, and the day before the event, they suddenly told us they couldn’t provide the service. We had people traveling in from out of town, and this completely ruined our plans. Even worse, they refused to refund us, despite them canceling and the owner cowardly won’t take our phone calls. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam. Save your money and go somewhere reputable that values its customers.

Absolutely disappointed and frustrated with how this business handled our booking. We had a bachelorette group event scheduled and confirmed weeks in advance. Less than 24 hours before our appointment, the owner abruptly cancelled on us.

To make matters worse, they refused to refund our $1,000 deposit and couldn’t even guarantee us a new date for rescheduling. We planned our entire weekend around this experience, and to be treated with such disregard is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I was really looking forward to this experience which was the main event of a bachelorette party, but the day before they canceled our booking. Their ship failed inspection leaving an 18 party group acrambling on a long weekend. We have had this booked since January. Not only will they not refund us, but they can't guarantee they will offer this service again. Poorly managed and terrible customer service, and they'll keep your money - so maybe find another group activity in Ottawa.

Possible scam. Booked for 6, they canceled out booking last minute as they failed to secure permits, and has been declining to reimburse our money. Based on similar reviews, we believe this may be a scam/fraudulent based on the pattern of similar circumstances.

Update: After months of the company taking my money and ghosting us, my Credit Card company forced a reimbursement. Having a "no refund" clause/agreement does not allow a company to cancel your booking and only offer credit for compensation, consumer protections mandate a full refund for services not rendered.
