If you're looking to escape the ordinary and dive headfirst into a tropical paradise, the new Shameful Tiki Bar on Queen West is calling your name. For years, I was a devotee of their original Parkdale haunt, drawn in by its intimate, rum-soaked atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails. Now, with a new, larger home at 777 Queen Street West, the vibe is still very much alive, just with more room for fellow tiki fanatics to get lei'd (no not that kind).

Stepping inside, you're immediately transported. The larger space is a welcome change, allowing more room for the a bamboo-lined, dimly lit sanctuary that Shameful Tiki is known for. It's the perfect spot to gather with friends and lose track of time. But let's be real, the main event here has always been the drinks, and the new location doesn't disappoint. The cocktails are a masterclass in tropical perfection, each one served in its own unique, wonderfully kitschy glassware. It’s hard to pick a favourite from their extensive list, but the Painkiller stands out for its creamy, coconut-forward deliciousness—a solid 10/10 for someone like me who doesn't drink as much.

This time around, I decided to pair my drinks with some of their famous snacks. The coconut shrimp was an absolute winner—perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of coconut flavour that didn't overwhelm the shrimp itself. A very respectable 9/10.

Unfortunately, the mango habanero ginger wings didn't quite hit the mark for me. While I appreciated that they were grilled, the flavours were a bit muted, and they were on the dry side, which was disappointing. I'd give them a 5/10.

Despite the wings, Shameful Tiki remains a fantastic destination. It’s the perfect spot to sip on some seriously cool drinks, hang out with friends, and soak in that undeniably escapist atmosphere. Just a heads-up: make sure your phone has enough charge to call an Uber or that you have a walking companion to get home safely.

This place is super fun, love the atmosphere and the drink options. The drinks are really strong and great if you love rum. The workers are so friendly and enthusiastic! Would definitely come back

Reservations definitely recommended, for groups of two you may get seated upstairs in a shared seating setting with another group of two which was kind of awkward but not the worst.

Little bit on the louder side but drinks were fun and food surprising decent (but small portion sizes). Kimchi grilled cheese was probably the favourite food wise, crab rangoon was tasty but you only get 4 small pieces.

The atmosphere and vibe is too good and just like a tiki bar on tropical island. We had really too much fun as we were celebrating my friend’s birthday we were placed in a shack kind of set up. It is a little pricey and food is average and drinks are too expensive and mostly ice.
We are asked to pay 25$ for cake cutting fee even we got the cake from outside but we didn’t know if they had policy as such from beginning but that’s alright. Again good place but food was alright and drinks were too less for the price.

The bar has such tropical, Hawaiian vibes — from the tiki-inspired décor to the refreshing island cocktails. The laid-back atmosphere, and vibrant colors make you feel like you’ve escaped to paradise. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, sip, and soak in those island feels. 🍹🌴

This was a very pleasant surprise we walked by they had happy hour going till 7:00, so we ordered appetizers to start they were excellent, went into the menu the nachos were the best I've had anywhere in Calgary both in terms of quality flavor and value. Everything we ate here was superb, service was excellent. We'll be back.

We came here for the giant margarita, and we were not disappointed with it (and the food). The margarita was pretty strong so you know it’s worth that $40. We also got some food which was also pretty good, especially the chicharron con arepa. The service started out very good, but as the night went on we kind of just got forgotten and were only checked on once after getting our food/drinks. We ended up having to wave another server down so we could get the bill.

None the less this place is definitely worth checking out🤙

Food was incredible, but the service wasn’t very personable at all. In the middle of ordering the waitress just.. left? Not only did this happen one time, but it happened twice. There was also about a 20 minute wait in between ordering. We were sat for about 10 minutes without any acknowledgement, then ordered drinks which she then walked away from even though we were also going to order appys, so it took another 10-15 minutes before we were even able to order our Appys. Then another 10-15 minutes to get the appy because she just kept walking away in the middle of ordering LOL
The food was delish though. Go during happy hour because the giant margaritas are only $10!

My friends and I were looking for a spot to relax and enjoy one of the last remaining beautiful days of summer, and with some luck, we found this place.

The patio is large, clean, and comfortable. We started there and eventually moved inside to hide from the wasps (it's a bad season for those devils).

The interior of this place is a sight to behold! The design, layout, and finishes are simply incredible. It's safe to say that this place far exceeded my expectations.

The food and service were great. They have the perfect menu (not too fancy but high quality). The service was fantastic, and we were lucky enough to enjoy their happy hour (smoking deals).

The staff were great to chat with and informed us that they have salsa dancing and live bands. We will be returning to get the whole experience. I better brush up on my bachata.

Came for cocktails and they were delicious! I tried the pineapple mezcal negroni and a giant strawberry margarita and both were delicious. The negroni had a light smokiness to it that I loved! The giant drinks are $10 off on Thursday’s making the 6oz of tequila marg a steal! The ambience is also really nice in the restaurant and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Extravagant would be an understatement! We came in for one drink and were met with a giant goddess like statue followed by a sun and moon interpretive dance show with flashing lights and funky music. Very cool experience! 🪩

We had an amazing time at Yoko Luna last Sunday! Chirag booked us an amazing table for dinner, right next to the DJ booth. Dancers put on a show, it was fantastic! We did the set dinner menu, so worth it. Service by Lou was top tier. Can’t say enough good things! Highly highly recommend!

We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Yoko Luna and had an unforgettable night! We ordered three bottles and enjoyed every moment ,the music was amazing, the vibe was electric, and the whole place felt upscale and fun. Service was top-notch, and the atmosphere made it perfect for a special night out. Highly recommend making a reservation , it gets busy, and for good reason. One of Montreal’s best spots!

The food was okay, the drinks were good (I ordered a lychee martini). The waiter was very weird about us having to tip (constantly mentioning that it’s not apart of the bill). I’d give this place overall a 2/5 because it’s very pricey for the quality of food and drinks. If you have the opportunity to dine somewhere else, please do. Don’t get trapped by making reservations or they will charge you $35 CAD for each person to cancel within 24 hrs.

I wish we had more places like this in Toronto, DJ was setting the perfect vibe. All the food we ordered was top notch, Pink blossom Crab roll, Karai Salmon, Tiger shrimp Gyoza, Truffle Edamame. Stefano our server was awesome - provided great recommendations and quick service. Shows and dining room were breathtaking, literally always something to look at.

I had a wonderful time with my two friends. We went on a Thursday for their jazz night and it was so much fun! There was a $7 add on for the live band which we were told about while being seated. Our server was so friendly and took great care of us. The bar was very reminiscent of a speakeasy, it was very dark and tables were lit by candles. If you have issues seeing in the dark, definitely take that into account. After a little while my eyes adjusted, but when I first walked in it was hard to see. Overall I had a lovely time. The cocktails were delicious, staff were friendly, the band was wonderful and I will definitely be going back!

We came to montreal and were looking for a club or bar with Russian Rave, EDM or Hardbass (similar to GSPD, CMH and Russian Village Boys) to which we could dance. This bar/club was top rated on most forums for this kind of music, so we decided to visit at night. The club was not at all what we expected.

To start off, despite the place being called a bar, they boast having a dancefloor and dj - which turned out to be a 3x3 meter nook in the bar. The music itself was also very very mellow, even for my friends who are new to EDM. If you're looking to dance, this is not the place for you.

Second, there is no Russian theme or music. After talking with a waiter, he told us the bar was recently bought up. The previous owners were the family that got this bar on the top of many lists and forums for EDM music and its Russian identity. As we were told, the new Ukranian owners "quickly got rid of all of the weird Russian stuff." Whats crazier is that as we were about to leave, the waiter asked us if we would like a stamp so we wouldnt need to pay to re-enter the bar that night. Although a nice gesture, we were very surprised to see that the stamp was for the political "воля" symbol on our wrists.

Because of these two big issues, we felt quite mislead and regreted spending even just a portion of our night here. The atmosphere was quite gloomy, and low energy. The waiter was nice and talkative, however, the bartenders were short tempered, getting immediatly pissed off when I asked if there would be any EDM. The cocktail menu was average in both price and drinks.

Nice atmosphere inside with a variety of cocktail selection. Extra $6 for Thursday night live jazz. It was good. Server was really nice. Would come back again.

amazing vibes! my friends and i got there around 8 on a thursday and they were very accommodating (we were 6). the jazz music was so soothing and the drinks were delicious! i had the white russian and my friends had the espresso martini and the the la plumme. the waitresses were the sweetest and we had the best time! the bathrooms were also great for pictures and just for hanging out

Came here to enjoy the touch of pink party. Beautiful place beside the water & great service. Had a Splendid time! Drinks were a bit pricey, but it's understandable. It is located in the old port.

Great vibes, great djs, fun yatch club/terrace decore, Biffana sandwich is to die for and Brian the GM makes sure everyone is treated right.

Anyone who loves EDM is gonna end up here- all your local artists to amazing international performances and Escapade after parties. Legends of yesterday & today- in fact, the person in the crowd beside you could be tomorrow's big name in EDM - so practice your PLUR (Google it)

City is BIG on consent (why I love this place) their security is top notch- you have an issue, you speak up and it's dealt with.

Love the intimacy as it's a tight space when it's packed and the artists are an arm's length away. The sound system is loud, bring loops/ear gasms etc if you need them.

Bar can be hard to navigate too when packed, use your manners- most people are PLUR gang- but tip your bar tenders & smile, you'll be seen from then on. Bar, security & door staff are top notch.

In the summer, yes, it's way too hot, and muggy, is it a basement. So dress accordingly. (Mesh/alt styles all welcome)

As always, do not use flash pls in the scene- it's a vibe harsher- there's sick lazers and Rick's white rabbit events are unreal. Was once told nothing that glows is allowed-

Honestly, City has grown so much from just a club- to a kitch spot when concepts was running on Thursdays, sometimes shut down for private events, and lately, extended hours (5 am) - also a camping event in the summer (search on insta for details)

Bathrooms, damp, artsy (bring a sharpie) big line ups, squads inside the 2 stalls, often needing reminders to exit (ladies room esp) be ready for that, or ask security to deal w it.

If you can't find your friend(s), check the alley.

City at night is by far the spot to be. Every staff member is welcoming. Door guys/girls greet you with open arms and a smile. Head down to coat check and you're greeted with more beautiful smiles and happy energy. Bouncers were soft hearted especially Mr. Beard he was bopping away with the rest of us and still on guard but don't let it trick you they mean business if you act a fool. The bar staff are quick, but supper mean lmaooo I'm kidding more amazing energy. Delicious cocktails generous pours and cheap if you show up at the right time. The DJs keep you grooving all night with non stop bangers. Lastly the manager Mr. N really cares about your experience I feel this is such a safe place to be and I'm proud to be part of the City At Night family. Don't let the bad reviews draw you a false picture come for yourself. I HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON!!!!!

Hidden gem in Ottawa! If you love EDM, especially house music, this is the spot. The venue isn't huge like other nightclubs, but it makes for an intimate experience. You can see local artists weekly and international artists during bigger events. During the weekdays, it turns into a lounge called, Afterlight. They are slowly hosting more events that include music outside of EDM, so it's nice to see the diversity and expansion. All staff members are super friendly and helpful. Tickets are very affordable and sometimes, entry is free before a certain time or completely.

The crown jewel of Ottawa nightlife! Definitely the best sound system and place to go out dancing in ottawa! A safe place to let loose with a strong sense of community.

Ive travelled around the world specifically for house music, and when Im at this place with the right DJ, I couldnt care less of whats going on in Buenos Aires, Tulum, Ibiza, etc. Its the only club I go to in Ottawa. Its not every week, but they bring great international talent

Went with friends in April and was pleasantly surprised! I loved the security, the staff, the different floors for different music. Bathrooms were super clean, obviously gender neutral and had security guards. Just nothing to dry your hands (small inconvenience). Felt super safe. Lots of AC on the dance floors (tysm) and space to dance. As the night advanced it did get very crowded and we did get bumped around, but it’s a club! It’s normal! People were as respectful as possible passing you by. No creeps! Even if I was with twins. Usually it makes them creep magnets… super efficient staff. Pricing is within the range of all other clubs, so expensive, but definitely not overpriced like some other clubs downtown. All in all 10/10! Had lots of fun, would go back anytime!

Two dance floors, plus a rooftop and a it has a nice view from up there! The music was incredible and everyone was having a good time! Downside is that they don't offer tap water for free (only bottled water for like 7 CAD), especially if I'm already paying a cover to get in, and the pre-made mixes kind of threw me off. It was still an enjoyable time.

It was cool kind of a young crowd. For gay bar it was more straight girls and guys. But still was mixed with a few LGBT people. Has amazing DJs and really cool light and sound show.

UPDATE: This is an extremely unprofessional and unsafe business. After posting this review of our experience, we are now being harassed online by employees of Club Unity.

ORIGINAL: They will scam your credit card—absolutely unacceptable and illegal business practices. The bartender deliberately pretended my tip payment didn’t go through and pushed me to “recharge” my tip, even after the payment clearly went through. This was a blatant scam experienced by two out of three of us. After I paid, they refused to provide the drink I ordered simply because I didn’t leave more than a 15% tip. When I tried to address this, the manager intentionally pretended to be busy and avoided me rather than helping. They refused both to provide the drink I had paid for and to issue a refund. Waited for 45 minutes for the manager to help and he hid until I left. Shameful behaviour from both staff and management—avoid this place at all costs.

Bartenders/waitress expect a 20% tip per drink provided. Excepted payment, but refused to give paid for items if waitresses weren’t satisfied with the tip amount- wanted more than a 20% tip. $25 entrance fee and then asked for more tips with drinks when they weren’t satisfied with the amount. Do not recommend. Scam artists.

Edit- My 2 friends and I tried to order basic shots and were told they don’t have the supplies so we asked for a suggestion as they were not able to make what we wanted. Then was told she can only make 4 shots at a time, not 3. She picked the shot as mentioned and chose to make one that needed to be shaken. They were also out of Diet Coke so we need to have orange juice. Also stated that they didn’t have tap water so overcharged us for a bottle. We had 3 separate drinks and paid separately, each tipping but the waitresses wanted more and stated the tips didn’t go through, which they did as I texted the receipt to myself. We paid for drinks and then were not given them unless we tipped her what she wanted. Unprofessional, greedy and sketchy.
Bottom line, I would give this establishment a zero star if I could.

Four of us went for drinks. They only had one kind of beer, bottles of hard alcohol like Fireball on display but they didn't have any. Then when it came time to get change, they miraculously didn't have any and if we wanted any, we'd have to wait while someone was sent for some. That was told to two of us at different times. We will not got back for over priced drinks, bad service, lack of product and no change. Great way for servers to get extra tips from customers though. On a positive note, music was good as is the location. Definitely don't recommend this place.

Unlike many clubs in mtl, this place actually has a fairly big dance floor. Which is nice for a change!!

Absolutely terrible experience. I went to this club with some friends last night, and I was shocked by how bad the service was. The prices are outrageous—completely unjustifiable for what you get. But the worst part? The bartender was incredibly rude and refused to let me pay unless I added a 20% tip. That’s not just unprofessional, it’s illegal. You don’t get to force people to tip, especially when your attitude is garbage and the service is worse. I will never be coming back, and I’ll make sure others know to stay far away from this place.

I had the pleasure of celebrating a bachelorette party at Francesco Club in Montreal on Saturday, August 24, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodated.

Our bottle service attendant, Alessia, was outstanding. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the night. Her genuine enthusiasm and knack for capturing perfect moments with our group made the evening even more special. We had a blast laughing, dancing, and enjoying the vibrant music and atmosphere that Francesco Club offers.

The respect and professionalism extended by the bouncers at the door set a positive tone for the night. Theo and Tata, the bus boys, were consistently on top of their game, making sure that our glasses and shot glasses were always clean and our needs were met without us ever having to ask.

A special mention goes to Boris, the manager on duty, who truly made the night unforgettable. He went out of his way to arrange a special moment for the bride with the DJ, adding a memorable touch that was the cherry on top of an already perfect evening.

Thank you to the incredible staff, the DJ, and everyone involved in making our night so remarkable. We left with fantastic memories and a strong desire to return. Francesco Club is a top-notch venue that earns a 100/10 from us. We highly recommend it for any celebration or night out!

We had an amazing experience at Le Maqui. The mysterious, speakeasy vibe with dim lighting and chic decor set the perfect mood. The menu, inspired by Haitian cuisine, was a delightful tapas-style offering—limited but fitting for a bar setting. The food was tasty, and the music was exactly what we needed: a mix of classic Haitian Kompa, hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. After walking in, we provided our ID to security, checked our coats, and had a brief wait before being greeted and brought to our table by our kind waitress. The staff, even down to the DJ, made us feel catered to throughout the evening. Ordering a bottle of champagne added to the romantic vibe. I absolutely loved the decor as well, an obvious celebration of Caribbean culture.

Le Maqui delivered on every level for a sexy, sophisticated night out in Montreal. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

Drinks: hit or miss, but generally strong. They are not consistent at all because the same drink was ordered 3 times and tasted completely different
Ethics: off… never heard of a bar not being allowed to give a glass of tap water after a certain time.
Rules: I get they have a vision, but they take themselves too seriously. Was wearing heels most of the night hand towards the end of the night, I changed shoes to subtle sneakers and the manager told me to never do that again.
Decor: very lovely! It’s a cool vibe in there and it’s very clean/classy

Had a great waitresse. Unfortunately as always at the end they push a bill that does not make any sense. This is my third time getting my bill over & I did not stand for it this time. I tried to get an explanation as to why the bill was so high since i already paid for my deposit of 200$ for a bottle & everyone has paid for their own eating & drinking arrangements. 34$ tapas + 3 drinks of maqui shots ( each 6$) + a bottle of water 6$ gave me a total of 285$ with taxes & tip. Not consistent at all with what I ordered. Bottle already paid (bottle around 190-191$total) Manager tried to explain & wouldn't let me have a real say & try to understand how they were calculating it. Said everyone paid & bottle paid already & did the calculating already so the285$ makes no sense. She wanted to let it slide & get me to pay the amount but finally paid lesser but not the appropriate amount. Watch your bills guys. Always watch it! But the rest was alright. Dj, waitresse & food. Thank You!

Never visited this store before! Talk about a one stop shop for all your party needs. Everything from balloons to food, all kinds of decor items for parties. Very impressed and all the staff who assisted me were very friendly and helpful. Definitely, will be my first stop next time I'm planning a party.

Staff need a lesson in customer service. Was in line at the cash with 10 minutes till closing. They refused to fill 8 balloons for me because it would mean they worked passed 8pm.

Terrible service. If I’m in line before closing with a small order I should not have to wait to pick them up next day.

I visited this Party City location on the evening of September 3rd, arriving around 7:49 PM and leaving around 8:06 PM. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to the attitude and behavior of one of the employees.
As soon as we walked in, the first employee we encountered greeted us with a very rude tone and said, “We’re closing in a couple of minutes.” She added that she couldn’t do more than 10 balloons because they were about to close, while giving us an unfriendly, dismissive look. We completely understood that it was close to closing time, but the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily hostile.
While waiting for the other employees to fill our balloons, we noticed they remained silent despite our multiple apologies for the timing. They didn’t acknowledge us and seemed visibly annoyed throughout the process, continuing to give us looks that made us feel unwelcome.
At the end, when my sister apologized once again for the inconvenience, one of the employees abruptly cut her off and said, “Just keep them in room temperature,” in a curt manner.
We were polite and appreciative throughout the visit, so it was disappointing to be treated with such a lack of basic customer service and courtesy. We understand closing time can be stressful, but a little kindness goes a long way. I hope management can address this and provide additional training to ensure better experiences for future customers.

I recently bought 4 packs of Hershey Kisses chocolates for an event. We came to know that the chocolate didn't taste good, and having tried them ourselves it seems that they taste like old chocolate. The aftertaste is pretty bad.
Really disappointing because the store itself is really good with so much choice and party products.

I took a couple of balloons today. A big happy birthday and 4 small balloons. Paid 35 for all. Guess what. Only 3 small ones were left 3 hrs after. I know how to keep these so well under cool and good conditions. The real reason is that the women who did them for me did them extremely extremely quickly and it was super clear that she was being careless. Like if im paying this much for a few balloons id expect atleast better treatment and better quality.

I’ve experienced the same issue with balloons losing helium within 24 hours for the second time. Additionally, the staff, especially during the morning shift, were not very courteous.

I contacted the supervisor, but the response was unhelpful, as they merely reiterated the 24-hour policy.

At $30, it’s simply not worth it. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your party supplies instead of wasting time and money at Party City or Canadian Tire."

The staff on both my visits (order and then pick up) were very pleasant. I had absolutely no idea about "balloon towers" and got great advice from both staff members. The towers were exactly as ordered and completed exactly on time. Thank-you!

It was my first time shopping for birthday decorations, and I was completely lost, but Celeste at Party City was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and patient, walking with me through the store, asking thoughtful questions, and helping me figure out exactly what I needed. She spent all that time with me until I was completely satisfied. Thank you so much, Celeste your help meant a lot!

Most of the workers were great. There was a worker in particular that had a really bad odour coming from them. Like it was honestly horrible, I could smell it from the other side of the store (it's a big store) I think their name was Jamy. If that issue was resolved it would be a great store!

We picked up our balloons for 10amthe morning of the party. The party was 1pm-4pm.

By 3 pm most of the helium balloons were in the garbage or on the floor.. I estimate the helium balloons floated for almost 4 hours. Sometimenbetween 3-4 hours they lost the ability to float. Some of the balloons weren't tied right and when we pulled on the ribbon it unraveled from the balloon...then the balloon was also untied and quickly deflated.

Customer service regarding this issue was lacking. Definitely not worth the $30 we paid!

We reserved tables for 18 and had an absolute blast. The live music was great, our server was top shelf and no one in our party waited for her to catch up on orders. For the group size, food arrived quickly and was delicious and came to our table hot.

Being my first time in Calgary for a national competition, one of our social nights was to ho line dancing at Ranchman’s. I’d never been line dancing before but my lord it was fun! We even got a private line dancing lesson but even if you don’t know the people are kind enough to lend a hand and help you learn. Service was awesome, the dancing was fun, the energy was great, the food was good. I went in with no expectations and was blown away. 12/10 I highly recommend this place for a fun active night out.

Went to Ranchmans to go see the show 'Forbidden nights'. The show was awesome and extremely funny! Funny I the best way possible. If they come back to Calgary again, my friends and I will be coming back again. It would be nice to see a show like this in a more established location like an event center or hall, but this bar made it work! It was spacious and fun.

Went this evening, a Saturday in March, had THE BEST time! The live band, vibes and general crowd was great, felt people were friendly and everyone was there just to enjoy the music, some drinks and lots of dancing!! The operator of the mechanical bull was great, friendly and helpful. Going for a ride made my night and highly recommend for any adventure seekers! I tried the line dance lessons with the headphones - that was new for me and was blown away at this new tech - could hear the instructions so clearly and had so much fun! Don’t forget your cowboy hat!🤠

Nice place to enjoy a beautiful rooptop terrace on St-Laurent Boulevard. Food and drinks were suprisingly good. The doorman was really rude and made us wait outside talking to his buddies despite the fact that we had a reservation and there were tons of empty seats. Very young crowd. We were cramped at the bar, and they wouldn't change us. Not a great experience despite the beautiful decor and good food.

I visited ciel rose on 25/07/25. It was my first time going. We had a reservation for 2 at 9:30 but unfortunately we arrived late because we had trouble finding parking and also finding the establishment. I’ll say that it is not easy to find and also to get to the rooftop. Upon arriving we made our way to dining area inside where a young man in black with curly hair was. We asked for directions to rooftop. He asked us if we had a reservation and we said yes. He guided us to the rooftop and we were on our way. Upon arriving at the rooftop there was no one to greet us. We waited about 5 minutes not really knowing what to do. We asked a busboy that had braids if there’s someone who could help us. He then told us to go see the manager by pointing to him. I was very taken aback as this was my first time here and I didn’t feel comfortable going up to a manager and I couldn’t even tell to who he was pointing to.. I told him so no one can help us? There’s no one to greet us? He said I don’t know what to tell you… he was very rude! He said that usually they greet us at the dining area for reservations and I told him that we told the guy we had a reservation and he just told us to go to the rooftop. Turns out the guy we saw in the beginning at the dining area was the manager. We told him we had a reservation but we are late and he went to check if there was tables available. He didn’t really look or help to be honest. He said we could stay standing and wait for a table or go to Zuma which I didn’t know what he was taking about. We decided to stand at the bar. I’ll say that the drinks were very good and the music and atmosphere was great. The Dj did a great job! After about 45 minutes of standing and we saw a table available we asked a nice gentleman with a white polo that seemed like another manager if we could go to the empty table. He brought us to the table and cleaned it for us. He was very nice. Besides the rude encounter with the busboy and the first manager we would definitely go back!

The decoration is nice the food is good some of the staff are nice but you clearly feel as you are on an ejecting seat as they will try to kick you after exactly two hours plus if you go there on a hot day you will literally melt (no fan, no ac) overall nice but not great would not go again

Such a great experience! Our waitress Sia was amazing, so kind and attentive even though it was super busy. Later in the night it turned into more of a club and we thought we’d have to give up our table, but Sia made sure we could stay, relax, and enjoy our drinks without feeling rushed. She truly made our night! Music was great too! Definitely recommend for both dinner and a fun night out.

I’m going to start by saying that I RARELY give reviews. I’m just so upset that I trusted this place for my friend’s Bachelorette. I had booked a reservation for dinner and drinks. It was SUCH a disappointing experience. We had made a reservation for a table for DINNER. Which I had mentioned originally when talking to someone to make the reservation, and several times when we were there. We were seated at a table about 45 mins late, it was so low to the ground I was shocked since I mentioned we were having dinner …. To make it even better, it didn’t even have enough seats for the group. It took 10 mins for someone to find some. We got drinks at the bar because not one person came to see us for 40 mins - I had to find someone again to explain. When I talked to someone again to ask to order - he told us the kitchen was actually closed. We all travelled from Ottawa after a work day expecting to eat dinner and by this time it was 9:15 pm. We left because there was no point in staying there. We couldn’t keep drinking without eating - we had 2 pregnant girls with us as well. Someone with a red hat, kept telling us it’s coming or saying he’d do something and then just disappear. Someone finally realized this was an issue instead of dismissing us (I wish I got his name!) and said we could get a round of shots on the house and a bowl of chips. We had already bought drinks from the bar because no one was serving us.

The one star is for the one bartender - Max. He was great!

This place is no doubt most popular on Thursday's for it's awesome AYCE steak & frites special. The steak is pretty good quality but not amazing as far as the meat quality itself goes. However the kitchen staff are skilled and cooked all 4 of my courses fantastically. The pepper sauce was a good compliment. Fries were not my preferred variety but appropriate for the plate. I came here on my birthday, although nothing was offered for the occasion it was a fantastic experience. Our server was very professional too. Atmosphere-wise it stands up to any other restaurant in the Old Port minus a few top picks.

Keyword: All-you-can-eat sirloin steak and fries, $44 per person. It's a good value, but not exceptional.

How to Play: The first plate is a set meal: bread, salad, steak, and fries. You must finish it all. From the second plate onwards, you can order just the steak without the fries. You have a two-hour limit, until you stop.

The sirloin was decent, but unevenly distributed. Some pieces had a lot of tendons, so it all depends on your luck. Cooking was on point or sometimes 1 point above cooking asked.

The restaurant is beautiful and has an all-you-can-eat steak and fries option on Thursdays. They start you off with warm bread, butter, and a fresh salad before bringing out the steak and fries. Just a tip: if you don’t want fries with your second plate, make sure you emphasize it—otherwise, they’ll bring them again by default. The all-you-can-eat deal requires you to finish your first plate before getting another. Overall, it’s a great spot, though it can get a little loud if you’re planning to have a long conversation.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this time I felt like I had to.

Maison St-Paul had been on my list for a while, especially for the Thursday “all you can eat steak and fries” special. We finally gave it a try — but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype.

We arrived at 7:30pm and placed our order. The first round of steak came out in about 4 minutes, which was surprisingly fast — but unfortunately, none of the steaks were cooked as requested. My medium rare came out well done.

Still, we gave it another shot and ordered a second round at 8:15pm… but it didn’t arrive until 8:45pm. When it finally came, the meat was tough and full of tendons. It completely killed my appetite. The group behind us also seemed unhappy with how their steaks were cooked, so it wasn’t just us.

The service was also disappointing. Our waiter only checked in three times the entire evening, which really didn’t help the situation.

I don’t mind paying — but when the quality and service are both off, it’s hard to enjoy the experience. For us, the Thursday deal simply wasn’t worth it.

After we left, I checked the reviews — and it turns out a lot of people had the same experience.

This is just our honest opinion.

Just barely got through the door before being followed the entire 15 mins I was in the store by a tall creepy white guy who works at this location. He made is quite obvious and very uncomfortable. This whole interaction influenced me on spend any of the money on the party stuff I needed. Crazy needs to be trained better

Don’t get your balloons filled here. Diluted helium. They won’t float after 12 hours.

Stopped in to gather supplies for our newest granddaughter's Sip and See at the Crowfoot location. I have never been before and had no idea how big this store was! I was assisted by Carrine and she was able to direct me to exactly what and needed. Made the experience much more enjoyable and quicker! Thank you for your help and expertise Carrine!

I normally shop here for any party decorations and balloons. The foil helium balloons last several weeks! Great value for the price. The people that work at this location are friendly and helpful.

Balloons turned out great, until less than 24 hours later the helium balloons are already losing all their buoyancy… what ever grade helium is being used is not sufficient. We have other balloons from another event in our home that are over 2 weeks old and are still floating at the ceiling.

Balloons didn’t last 24 hours and they charged $43 for a 15 pack of balloons with helium. Party city in Canadian tire gives free helium inflation with any purchase and told us that we could come back anytime to inflate them with the receipt. Terrible service.

I’ll look over the fact that the store still has empty rows three weeks post Halloween. It does have a lot of everything you need for a great party. Everything. I also find the prices to be very reasonable. The consistent issue is the people who work their. They seem like they would rather work anywhere else but here... and it’s a party store. Today’s highlight. After paying the cashier, who had interest in doing her job, half attempted to fold the receipt (it was a large order of several hundred dollars),she then gave up and crumpled it at me.... at least I got a lot of fun stuff.

Good thing is we can find products related with special themes like Minecraft, Super Mario. Only the smell in the store is a bit uncomfortable due to the chemicals used in the products.
A bonus is they can use Triangle reward card.

Pretty good! Atmosphere and music were great. Overall food was good but there were only a couple dishes that really stood out. Service was not as great as I hoped, many times the servers would place the ends of utensils right atop the food and not do anything to fix it… drinks were nice and boozy. Very curious about when the place turns into a club!

I've only attended Sweet Loretta for ticketed parties and I've ordered food once but was impressed by the selections. The upstairs has a sultry design with cozy tables and a great fireplace. Drinks are great and staff are always friendly and eager to assist. The basement can get extremely hot, but there are A/C vents at the back that help cool you down, it a dark but fun vibe down there too.

Came to Sweet Loretta with a friend and had such a good time running up and down the stairs with her (seriously… up and down, up and down, up and down 😂). Loved that each floor had a completely different vibe and music style — it made the night feel like two parties in one. Security staff were fantastic too, super helpful with keeping track of my friend. No complaints at all — we’ll definitely be back!

Wow!!! Where do I even begin. Once you get to the address you don't really know what to expect, but once you open the door into the place, you get this unique vibe that is quite memorable. The place itself is incredible, the decor is superb, and the atmosphere is simply cool. Once you are at your table you find yourself sitting in extremely comfortable chairs, and that is when the whole experience begin. We were greeted by the one and only Braxton, and I say the one and only because she has to be one of the best Mixologists in Calgary. She asked us what we liked and since we said everything, she asked "do you trust me" and we totally did, and boy oh boy was it worth it. She prepared these two complex drinks for us, that were something totally knee to us. Then we ordered the pita, hummus and the falafel and our mouth were still watering after we were done, it was absolutely delicious. We kept trying more and more dishes till we found ourselves devouring a one of a kind cheese cake, and at that point we had a food comma. Throughout the entire night Braxton treated us like royalty, and made sure we were having a good time. As parents of a little one you don't get these kinds of opportunities often but when you do and you get the kind of treatment we got from Braxton, Chef Guillermo, Isabella, and the rest of the staff (I could not ask for everyone's name), you feel like it was totally worth it and you want the night to last even longer. Thank you all for the incredible night! You guys have something special here, keep it up.

This restaurant/bar was unusual. We got there a few minutes early so they told us to go downstairs and have a drink at the tiki bar. We got seated and ordered drinks which are very exotic and in unusual glasses. The hostess came down to get us to tell us that our table was ready and we had two glasses each to carry. I thought they might put it all on a tray and carry it upstairs for us but they did not. As we were walking by the bar the bartender informed us that we had to give them our glasses because the glasses that are drinks were in could not be taken upstairs. I thought this was rather odd but we gave them our glasses and traded them out for just regular ones. We ordered everything on the menu except for two items. The menu is exotic however each item is just a small plate. So we each tried one bite of everything that came to the table. This place was recommended by someone who said it was great because it turns into a dance club later in the evening. However the music was very unusual. We waited for about 40 minutes for it to rev up a bit but the music stayed very mellow. I was a bit let down by the experience.

This was our first time here and it was a lot of fun. The food was better than I expected as well. I thought the staff was doing great with all of the birthday parties and chaos. It is easy to have sensory overload at this place, even when in the dining area but it is also a fun atmosphere.

The Rec Room is one of my favourite places to go when looking for an activity for adults.
We came on a Monday which was nice and quiet, didn't have to wait for games and the servers were ready to help us.
They added some new games upstairs since the last time we came and they were a blast.
My spouse quite enjoyed the putting green, it malfunctioned a bit but someone was there right after we finished to fix it.

Went with friends on a Friday evening and had fun. It was a generally a good experience. But it didn’t help that at some point, our server went MIA.
I had the spicy chicken burger and it was just okay, not spicy.

It's definitely a dope place to go with the right company, and with a good selection of games, you can melt the stresses of life away!

It was fun! The controls are in Korean which can be confusing when you're trying to do things. The song book is organized alphabetically by the first letter of the song, and by language (English, Korean, etc.). The room could have probably benefited from a clean and a little update.

I came with some white homies (happy birthday Heather) and they ripped the damn door handle clean off the door. The manager was so patient and understanding. Peach soju still rocks. Best karaoke spot in 100 km radius

If you're fluent in Korean, you'll have an easy time navigating the menus and displays, because it's entirely Korean. Moderate selection of songs, but the backing tracks are pretty lacking. You'll occasionally get a classic song that is cut short to less than a minute. Stairway to Heaven was only the into and one verse, then it was over. The system also will sometimes skip songs in the queue, and the backing videos are all over the place. We were singing Brown Eyed Girl while watching a korean man with a headwound bleed out on the floor of his apartment.

Rooms are a bit dingy, but hey, at least the mics work. Employees are nice and professional.

The karaoke rooms are pretty big and clean and reasonable price for drinks and karaoke.
Overall it was a great experience.

Good country feel, decent layout and live music seems common which can be heard from below as well- Might be a bit loud if you want to talk. Close to a bunch of other spots but, depending on the day etc there may be a cover charge around $25.

I visited Whiskey Rose last week and Denby was awesome! Super friendly and easy to talk to. She checked on us just the right amount and made sure we had everything we needed. Service was quick and relaxed, she made the whole experience really enjoyable. Would definitely come back and ask for her again! I recommend also trying their pizza! Very good

I love this place! Western Saloon-Country vibes and the food is amazing! The bartender was dress like a cowboy he was awesome hahah. You gotta try the Whiskey Rose cocktail of course and any big plates like the Nashville Chicken. So good!
