Reception Halls

The seating is awful — cheap folding metal chairs that get unbearable after 1–2 hours. The so called “Concert Hall” feels more like a warehouse than a proper venue: flat floors with no raised rows, no slope to the floor, good luck seeing the stage especially if you’re on the shorter side or bringing kids.

Look at the photos and you’ll see it’s also rented for banquets, it doesn’t resemble an auditorium at all, just a multipurpose warehouse (“hall”). Acoustics are bad, atmosphere is bland, and yet tickets are sold as if this were the Jubilee Auditorium.

Overall, uncomfortable, poorly designed, and frustrating. Easily the least enjoyable venue in Calgary that I have been to.

Went here for the first time for a rave. THERES ACTUALLY ROOM TO DANCE AROUND VS other venues LOL. 10/10 Had an awesome time. I hope more raves get hosted here.

Been here for two concerts so far (thr beaches and Skillet) and it's a nice venue, which is also easy to navigate inside of. Easy for transit, reasonable ticket prices, and the fact that there's the seperate beer garden in the venue that keeps cups of alcohol out of the pit is so refreshing. I went to a concert at Grey eagle casino and got booze dumped all over me while people were jumping, I have yet to have that happen at mac hall

Been to a few shows here recently, different lay outs each time. Parking is a bit of a pain as it's difficult to find where you need to go, and even more difficult to park anywhere close. Kreator/Testament/Possessed had a great layout, Social Distortion had a separate beer garden area where if drinking you couldn't get anywhere near the stage, Cryptopsy/Carnifex was upstairs in the other ballroom and had a pretty solid set up.

One of my favourite concert venues (for all ages shows at least). Can be a bit confusing finding where to line up to get in, but the staff and crowd are always great. Holds quite a few people but even at sold out shows it doesn't feel to crowded and lots of space tk move around at the back.

The event venue is a hidden gem. On the outside it's unimpressive. The inside decor and atmosphere are impressive, however!
It's small compared to other venues, so it can fill up very quickly. The service was exquisite, and the staff very professional.
My only suggestion is let the guests know that there is more room for waiting upstairs.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Maison Principale on Saturday, May 17, and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It’s absolutely beautiful—every corner offers a perfect backdrop for photos, from the elegant interiors to the thoughtful architectural details.

The space was spotless and so well maintained, which makes a huge difference on a fast-paced wedding day. I also want to highlight how lovely it was to work with Natasha—she was so accommodating and kind, and even welcomed me to visit the venue ahead of the wedding to get familiar with the space. That extra step helped everything run even more smoothly on the big day.

The entire team at Maison Principale was professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to creating a seamless experience for everyone involved. I’m already looking forward to the next event there!

We had such a fantastic experience at MP for our wedding. From the moment we visited, Gabriella G. and Natasha M. made us feel comfortable and at ease. They handled all our special requests and were in direct contact with all our vendors to make sure our day would be as magical as imagined. Gabi B. from Brera Catering was also so pleasant to work with, and accommodating from our initial tasting months prior to the wedding to our midnight table.

Malaparte is an intimate yet exquisite fine dining establishment. We had the pleasure of having our annual work Christmas party here and they did not disappoint in the slightest. Friendly and quick service, always making sure we had food in our mouth and a drink in our hands. The team was excellent and the food was delicious. The views of the city are phenomenal and the rooftop view of the CN tower was spectacular. I would recommend any business or group to host an event here. I can’t wait to be back next year. Lovely venue! We experienced a wedding here and the views of the city are great. The spot in front of the CNE Tower is nice in the day or night. Staff were attentive, drinks were great and food was good. I can't want to come back here to have a casual day out.

Beautiful small venue to have a wedding. Doesn't need much decorating. The views are very nice with clear shots of the CN tower. It can get windy here in the fall time. The in-house dj was one of the best with great taste in music for the appropriate crowd and smooth transitions. The food was also very good - no issues there as well. Recommend for events of 130ish people.

Very good catering venue! Workplace party functions, different business organizations and marriages are popular booking options here. Loved working in the laid back kitchen with good chefs.

The views are 5 stars plus here, amazing skyline views from the balcony. I’ve been a couple times now for business related events, service and food had been good both times. For a catered venue in the city I’d recommend for sure

I recently took my granddaughter to the Old Mill for a princess party teatime event. She absolutely loved it. The grounds were just exquisite. All the little girls were dressed up in princess dresses with tiara’s, and they had four princesses come out to entertain the kids. The room was set up beautifully, and the food was excellent.

Went here for a friend’s intimate wedding and loved the venue. The food was delicious, the venue itself felt very cozy and elegant, and the staff were all so helpful. I didn’t take pictures of the food, but we had butternut squash soup, garden salad, and salmon filet with roasted veggies — all of it was surprisingly delicious.

We recently had our wedding at Old Mill Toronto, and it was truly the most magical day we could have imagined. From the stunning historic setting to the flawless execution of every detail, everything exceeded our expectations.

A huge thank you to Anna and Galina, who were extremly helpful in making our day so special. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail were incredible throughout the entire planning process. Anytime we had a question or needed to finalize something, they were quick to respond and always had a solution ready. Their support took so much stress off our shoulders and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

The venue itself is breathtaking — charming, elegant, and full of character. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the ambiance, the food, and the impeccable service. From start to finish, it was everything we dreamed of and more.

The Old Mill is such a beautiful venue with so many spaces for events that each have their own character and requires very little decoration. As a wedding decorator, the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. They ensured everything was perfect for my client and made it very easy for me to complete my decor set-up. We had our wedding at Paradise and it was so wonderful from start to finish. Gabriella and her team was amazing and so accommodating, we did our wedding, stag, and rehearsal dinner there. The food is so good and your guests will not leave hungry! Went to a wedding to the Classic Hall last Friday night May 30th, 2025. The venue is spacious and impressive. However, the chairs were stained:( The food was below expectation. Appetizers were Costco quality. The dinner included a squash soup, pasta, chicken breast with mashed potatoes and couple veggies as a main as well as a cup of gelato with a very hard biscotti for desert. However, the service was excellent - very attentive and almost invisible at the same time. Thanks to all the staff for your help!

We recently attended a wedding at Paradise Banquet Hall, and it was truly a fantastic experience! The buffet was an Italian food lover’s dream – from start to finish, every dish was exceptional. The main course was especially wonderful, with perfectly cooked pasta, rich sauces, and tender, flavorful meats. The selection was extensive, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. We just got married at The Rizz over the weekend and it was the absolute best experience! The food was great, so many of our guests came to compliment us on the food! I came here for a group event of about 70 people on a Sunday in March.

The room itself was nice and clean but the temperature was very cold. There was a temperature control on the wall and some guests were trying to increase it to 20 or 21 degrees but employees would lower it to 18...guests were so cold they were grabbing their coats and scarves. Eventually someone spoke to an employee to ask if it can stay at 20 and they allowed it.

I had asked one of the waiters in English what the hors d'oeuvres were that he was handing out and he did not understand I had to repeat myself in French. Someone who works in the service industry should be able to speak English and French. I

also included a photo of one of the hors d'oeuvres, a meatball, which was completely raw in the middle. I showed a waiter and he took it away and I never heard back about it. The rest of the food was fine but that put a bit of a damper on the food for the rest of the guests at my table.

I've heard a lot of positive reviews of this place but my experience was disappointing. Not sure I would consider hosting a event here myself.

We had our wedding at this venue last weekend, and honestly, the experience was incredible from start to finish—way beyond just the wedding day itself.

In the months leading up to it, the staff was so present and attentive. They were always a step ahead, checking in, helping us navigate the process, and making sure everything was unfolding the way we had envisioned. What we appreciated most was how they shared their advice without ever making us feel like our ideas were wrong or unrealistic. They’d give little tips or insights based on their experience doing this every other weekend, but they always made it clear that the final call was ours—and they’d make it work, no matter what we decided.

They were also super proactive. We never had to chase them down or ask when our next meeting was. They guided us step-by-step, from meal preferences to setup decisions, which really helped reduce any pre-wedding stress. It honestly felt like they were just as invested in the experience as we were.

They humanized the whole process too; it didn’t feel transactional at all. They’d remind us to be present, to enjoy the moment as a couple, and that little touch of care made all the difference. You can really tell they love what they do.

On the actual day of, everything ran perfectly. The staff was always nearby, gently guiding us through the timeline—but in the most calming and subtle way. The maître d, the head waitress, and all the other staff were so hardworking, kind, and personable. Throughout the night, they kept checking in on us and bringing us food to make sure we were eating enough and actually enjoying the night.

The coordinators also made our wedding feel like more than just an event they had to run. Right before walking down the aisle, they stopped to tell us how great we looked and gave us words of encouragement before coordinating and timing everything.

We had both our ceremony and cocktail hour at the hall. Originally, we had planned for it to be outside, but the weather didn’t cooperate. They calmly shifted everything indoors, reassured us that it would still be beautiful—and they were right. The setup was stunning and felt just as special as what we had originally pictured. The way they executed the backup plan was so smooth and professional.

The food was also next level. People are still texting us a week later telling us how they cleaned their platters. The braised beef was a major hit, and guests kept complimenting both the quality and the quantity of food—which can be rare to nail both. They were also on top of being attentive to the allergy and dietary restrictions of all our guests, which was very important to us—and our guests really appreciated it.

Another huge help was how they coordinated with our vendors the week of the wedding. We didn’t have to worry about who was arriving when or what was being set up—they handled it all, which gave us the space to actually enjoy the experience.

Having the hotel attached to the hall was such a lifesaver. We got ready there in the morning, which made the whole day flow so much easier—no travel stress, no rushing. And it allowed our guests to let loose, enjoy themselves, and stay overnight. We even hosted a brunch the next morning at the Resto, which was such a fun way to wrap up the weekend. The bistro staff was also amazing—super friendly and genuinely helpful.

All in all, this team gave us the wedding we had dreamed of without the pressure and chaos we thought would come with it. They were a dream team, and we would 100% recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding. It’s literally the one-stop shop for your wedding in Montreal—you can’t go wrong!

Rented this space for a 2-day wedding a year in advance and had clear communication with the managers at the time. We had a clear agreement that their cleaners would handle cleanup the morning after the first day. No cleaners showed up, so our decorator cleaned the venue himself.

The morning after the second day, around 10am, I got a call from a man named John, yelling and insisting we hadn’t cleaned up the night before. I explained that cleaners were on their way. While the cleaners were working, he was very disrespectful to them and just kept on yelling at them.

In the end, he took $200 from the damage deposit for petty reasons. The most unprofessional manager ever. Be aware before booking with them!

Our church (St Michael Eritrean Orthodox Church) has been using this wonderfull place for religious celebrations for many years now. It has a very nice hall with well equipped kitchen and very good washrooms, great parking area and very understanding and supportive admin. We are very happy about the services we receive. Our gratitude goes to the wonderful management and the portuguese community as a whole.

Haven't seen any event taking place here for sometime due to the pandemic restrictions. It is best to ascertain the availability by calling the place. Church is open though, but attendance is limited. Consult website for more details.

It is the worst conference venue I ever attended! Chairs are so hard, toilets don’t flush, 1 paper towel is empty and the one that has paper is located behind a wall and the waste bin is behind the wall! The venue was cold too, most of the participants were wearing sweaters/coats! I will not attend any conference being held there again!

I had the joy of attending a wedding at Renaissance by the Creek, and the whole day was outstanding. The venue itself is elegant and welcoming, and the staff did a fantastic job making sure everything ran smoothly.

The lunch was excellent, with great flavors, and the service was attentive throughout the event. The music and program flowed beautifully, making it a wonderful celebration to be part of. The special effects added a beautiful touch to the memorable moments.

We cannot say enough amazing things about the team at Renaissance by the Creek! From our first conversation to the last plate served, their team went above and beyond to make our wedding unforgettable. Ash and Chef T were incredible to work with—helping us design a custom menu and four stunning food stations. Each station was decorated beautifully, and our guests were blown away (especially by the woks at the dim sum station!).

On the day, the bartender and service staff were phenomenal—not only professional and efficient, but also warm, friendly, and genuinely excited to be part of our celebration. Many guests commented on how engaged and approachable the staff were throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious—people are still telling us how much they loved it!

Ash was an absolute star—knowledgeable, responsive, detail-oriented, and always open to our suggestions while providing thoughtful, professional feedback. We felt so well taken care of and truly valued.

Our wedding was perfection thanks to Renaissance, especially Tristan Da Silva and team. They checked in with us often and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Their outdoor garden area was beautiful and actually quite cool and shady on such a hot day. Even with a sleeved ballgown dress I was quite comfortable. The food was amazing. We’ve been getting compliments on the food nonstop since the wedding on July 26. The lava cake dessert was to die for. The staff were cognizant of allergies and made sure that everyone was able to have a good time without stressing over their allergies.

Booking our other vendors was also a breeze with Tristan and Renaissance’s connections and preferred vendors. We were able to enjoy the process as well as enjoy our wedding day without worrying about every little detail.

My husband and I recommend this venue and Tristan to anyone getting married!

We held our Wedbiz Conference here last fall and the venue was well laid out, our tables were spacious not crammed like other venues. Tristan is a gem and truly checks off all the boxes, even in things you won't think of like the smallest of details. The load in and out was smooth, place was clean, food was amazing, in fact we are hosting another summit there coming up in April. So excited to see how we are going to transform the space this spring.

We recently hosted my son's first birthday at Renaissance by the Creek and it went great. Rajan the owner was extremely helpful and flexible. Staff were exceptional! The menu had a large selection of food to choose from. Great choices of appetizers, main course, fruit tray , desserts, drinks, etc and the food turned out to be delicious. All our guests were raving about the food. Everything turned out to be perfect and exactly how we wanted it to be. We highly recommend this venue and their service.

I recently attended an event at The Royal Venetian in Aurora, and I can honestly say it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning — elegant, spacious, and beautifully maintained. It felt welcoming the moment I walked in, and everything about the space created the perfect atmosphere for the event.

The staff went above and beyond in every way. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. The bartender was outstanding — not only quick and efficient, but also warm and engaging, making everyone feel taken care of. The management team was equally impressive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and making sure all of our needs were met throughout the night. It’s clear they truly care about the guest experience.

And the food — absolutely amazing. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. You could tell there was real attention to detail in the preparation, and it made the dining experience just as memorable as the rest of the evening.

Overall, everything was flawless — from the service and management to the atmosphere and cuisine. I couldn’t recommend The Royal Venetian more highly. If you’re looking for a venue in Aurora that combines elegance with exceptional service, this is it.

My husband and I got married here in June and our day was perfect. If you’re considering this venue, do it!!

We dealt with Gianluca throughout our process and felt looked after & at ease the whole time. We also worked with Samantha closer to our date and she is so kind, professional and helpful. We felt at ease through the whole planning process. From the initial meetings, to the menu tasting, to the menu selection, dealing with allergies/preferences, seating arrangements and even helping us store DIYs the day before the wedding, we felt taken care of and at ease.

We had our ceremony and reception here and the terrace was the perfect place to do it. The rooftop is well manicured and very clean, and the pavilion is the perfect covered/shaded area to say “I do” under.

We had hand passed hors d’ouvres during cocktail hour. Our dinner started with an antipasto plate, then we had pasta. After that, we had braised short rib with green beans & duchess potatoes. For dessert we had the ice cream crepe. We had 2 late night stations (sliders & waffles) that were a big hit. The open bar was a huge hit as well, and the bartender Francis was very friendly and efficient! The food was fantastic and our guests are still talking about it 3 months later!

Gianluca, Samantha and the whole team at the Royal Venetian made our day perfect and working with them was so amazing. It was truly a day we will never forget and we couldn’t have had a more perfect venue.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Royal Venetian in May and we were absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. Gianluca was our main point of contact, and even though we emailed, called and visited several times leading up to the wedding, he was always so helpful and patient with us. On the day of the wedding everything was perfect, from cocktails on the terrace to the amazing dinner service (we recommend the short rib!). For a 250+ person wedding, one of the nice attributes of the hall is that it is not shared, you get the entire venue to yourself. We will certainly be returning for additional events in the future!

We had our 65th birthday celebration last night at the Royal Venetian Mansion.
What an amazing time! Our host Josh made sure everything went smoothly and the staff were attentive and helpful all around. Friendly and engaging bar staff ensured everyone had fun. With 107 people at a party we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Food was delicious and plentiful. Perfect night. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It was an incredible experience! I was here for my best friend’s wedding, and everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing—so patient, helpful, and accommodating. The hospitality was top-notch, and the appetizers and main dishes were absolutely delicious. Big kudos to the manager and team for their professionalism and dedication. They truly made the event unforgettable!

I went here for the pumpkin charity ball for Halloween this year and all I got to say is what an amazing venue. Especially for Halloween. Haha What a great night I had and I'll definitely be back again for another event or to the bar downstairs. 🤙👍

As a vendor for an event held at the centre, the parking was good and easy to unload. Bathrooms were clean and food from the bar was great. I was there for RAW: Magnify, an arts show.

Terrific pub with every kind of beer and whiskey imaginable and good food.

It was afternoon tea celebrating Blooms Day from Ulysses by James Joyce. There was enactments from the book and it was all very enjoyable. The food - sandwiches and scones plus squares were lovely. The wine and Irish lager my husband ordered were great and so was the music. Very enjoyable

A banquet center in the heart of the city that's rather unassuming from the outside, but with a grand interior. The halls are huge, and the arrangements are very satisfactory. The lobby is big, clean and with a shiny floor. The food that's catered is delicious. The restrooms are nice and clean. Parking is adequate. However,  the servers, in general, could be a bit more friendly and courteous.

One of the best venues and halls for special events. Located across from Mooney's Bay, this newly upgraded and updated banquet hall boasts a large seating capacity, modern interior design and an upgraded kitchen. Beautifully decorated and spacious, and can host smaller to.larger groups for business events, as well as weddings and special occasions. Ample parking adjacent to the facility. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I went to the Lebanese festival this year and it was a blast. Music, dancing, rides for the little one, food, food and more food. It was a great time, and will be the source of great memories for years to come. We went again this year, 2023 and again was amazing. Our now 4 years old loves coming here and talked about it since last year. We will be going back again next year when it comes back to town. Also, big shout-out to all the volunteers that make it possible.

My husband and I held our reception at Saint Elias and we were very pleased with everything! They were very flexible and ensured our special day went by smoothly. Everyone working the night of our wedding was wonderful! Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was throughout the whole evening! Thank you again!

Le Classique never disappoints! This reception hall always pays attention to the details that make your event feel extra special. The service is seamless, the atmosphere is elegant, and the food is absolutely incredible!! Every time I’ve been here, it’s been an amazing experience. Highly recommend for any event.

The appetizers were great, but the main meal.. I wasn't impressed with the presentation, and it was lacking flavour. Overall, this is a fairly decent reception hall, but the parking lot is VERY small.

I visited the Sandy Hill Community centre while attending the Japanese Summer Festival. It's a lovely, versatile space. The upper area (gym?) had several vendors displaying their wares, but the number of visitors likely overwhelmed the air conditioning system, as it was extremely hot and difficult to stay in that location for any length of time. I felt bad for the vendors.
The washrooms were clean, and the water-filling stations were very appreciated on this extremely hot day, bestowing us the gift of cold refreshing water.

Staff were pleasant and easy to find someone to answer my question. Extremely clean despite having a summer camp with oodles of children running about. Easy to access as a wheelchair user.

Sandy Hill Community Health Centre has been our trusted clinic for over a decade, and it truly stands out as one of the best in Ottawa. The staff is always friendly and professional, offering bilingual service that reflects the inclusivity. They provide a wide range of services, we’ve always felt supported and well cared for throughout the years.

While their phone lines are often busy, I genuinely appreciate that they take the time to call when future appointments need to be scheduled. Their same-day clinic is a lifesaver, with excellent doctors and nurses who are attentive and thorough. Another big plus—they offer access to online documents like lab requisitions and other forms when needed, which makes things so much easier. A reliable, compassionate clinic that continues to serve the community with heart.

Plenty of activities for kids and adults, events centre, pop-up shops, gymnasium, outdoor pool and big greenspace for lounging and playing sports. Well-maintained indoors and outside, building is air conditioned.

It is a good Community Centre with many activities for both adults and for children. the outside park area is large , so lots of space to play ball or on the structures . There is a kid pool and also a basketball net . Lots of benches for relaxing and unwinding too.

The specific event I attended had a really loud music, so it's good for small concerts, but too much for small children to stay for an extended period of time...

I grew up in this building. My ex father in law was the architect, I discovered Santa, wasn't really... well, you know. I have pictures of me singing on that very stage, as a 7 year old. So warm still.

Went for the Christmas market which was delightful. My mother was thrilled to find baked goods from Finland. The volunteers worked so hard to put on a wonderful lunch and there were many interesting things to purchase.

David, Tiffany & Jenifer — I truly don’t know how to thank you enough. You made our wedding day absolutely unforgettable. Every detail was beautifully thought out, and the entire day ran so smoothly thanks to your incredible planning, support, and calm energy.

The venue itself was beyond perfect — such a gorgeous space with the best vibe. It felt warm, open, elegant, and full of joy — exactly what we had dreamed of. You brought everything together so beautifully, and we’re so grateful to have had you by our side through it all.

We had our wedding at STORYS Building after our original wedding venue cancelled. David called me within 30 minutes of receiving my inquiry and after a venue visit (I was wowed), we were locked in. In what could have been a stressful situation, I didn't even have time to panic because the STORYS team had me sorted.

Leading up to the wedding, the STORYS team was incredibly helpful and communicative. They were super adaptable with our vendors and gave us plenty of amazing tips. The wedding day was *literally* perfect. The entire STORYS team were so helpful, accommodating and fun! The drinks were flowing and we had several guests tell us this was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding (we agreed).

Overall, between the amazing location, venue vibe, food, drinks and amazing team, we feel lucky our original venue had cancelled. It truly felt like it was meant to be and we had the most beautiful, stress-free day. I could not recommend this venue enough!

THE BEST WEDDING VENUE IN TORONTO! My husband and I had our wedding here last weekend and our guests could not get over the stunning venue, the food, and the service. Everything was top notch. I have been following this venue for years on Instagram and always loved the vibe of the place! When I got engaged they were my only venue I inquired about!

First off, the value for your money at this location is incredible! Toronto venues have become fairly outrageous for minimum spends but STORY’S was very reasonable!

There are three main people we talked with and each of them were lovely! David helped us book the venue, Tiffany organized all the food and details of the day, and Jennifer ran the show on the day!

The venue itself is perfect for our wedding - 85 people! It can hold more but with this number we were able to have dinner and dancing on the same floor comfortably!

The food was fantastic and they let us personalize some of the menu option which I appreciated!

I can’t say enough positive things about the venue itself and the people running it!

It’s rare to have such a straightforward, functional community gathering space like this one that feels so familiar and inviting. It’s simple and done well. Everything you need for an event!

Nice location close to the core. Easily accessible with lots of parking in the street. Remember, during the day you have to pay for parking!

This location is good for local events and workshops.

Outdoor park is really cool for this community hall plus u cant miss or beat the red barn style paintjob. Its right accross from the LRT station of same name too, well kitty corner from it anyways. I will snap a couple pics so you can see.

The Gardening Club has done a great job to grow, cultivate and harvest people, relationships and feed the needy - once crops are ready of course:) See you there!

Had a wonderful venue tour there by April. Very informative and friendly. Their wedding space is not your everyday community centre space. It is large, light and bright and airy and will have an outdoor ceremony space too!

Trywood hosted our wedding reception in January. Phenomenal service. Excellent food. Everyone had a great time. They're willing to work with us on unique ideas we had for the reception and were willing to try something new and executed to perfection. Our guests have consistently commented on the reception having some of the best food they've ever had, especially the salmon! Would highly recommend for weddings or any event in general.

Large lot, several buildings. Attended a wedding, Staff was amazing, food was served buffet style and was also very good. Bar service was great again staff above par!

Chilly stands but great ice. Change rooms could be bigger. No on site food.

We were very pleased with our experience at Le Space. The venue was very clean and spacious. The decor was breathtaking and the staff were very kind. My daughter’s birthday was definitely a day to remember thanks to Laura for her attention to all details.

A Disappointing Experience for the Bride-to-Be

We recently held my bridal shower at L’Espace, and while the venue was beautifully decorated, the overall experience left much to be desired.

The food was disappointing, and partway through the event, the serving trays were taken away, leaving us to serve our guests from aluminum trays, which was both inconvenient and embarrassing. The air conditioning also wasn’t working properly, making it uncomfortable for everyone, especially our older guests, some of whom had to leave early because of the heat.

What truly saddened me was seeing my mom stressed out during what should have been a joyous occasion. The venue owner was sending her messages during the event about additional fees and payments, which added unnecessary stress to what should have been a happy day.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience that overshadowed what should have been a special celebration.

Our experience at L’Espace for my fiancée’s bridal shower was beyond disappointing. While the venue looked nice, the food was absolutely atrocious. To make matters worse, two hours into the event, someone literally came and took away the serving trays because they were only rented for a limited time, leaving us to serve our guests out of aluminum trays. That level of unprofessionalism is just unacceptable. The air conditioning was also non-functional, and we were told it was out of the owner’s control. We had elderly guests who were so uncomfortable that they had to leave early. On top of everything, the owner harassed my mother-in-law during the event, demanding extra payment and to make sure she pays her before we leave! all while a severe thunderstorm and floods made it difficult for guests to even get around the city to leave or get picked up. Many more upsetting things happened during this event like promises that were unkept. Chilling the wine and drinks is one of them. This should have been a happy day for everyone and unfortunately the owner stripped that from us because of her lack of respect and professionalism. This venue is a nightmare, and the owner clearly has no idea how to run a business. Avoid this place at all costs.

Only one hour into guests eating, this guy shows up to pick up his bowls buffet was served in and this girl was putting food in aluminum containers because apparently serving platter were reserved for two hours!!! But who does this in middle of meal! I waited for my guests to serve themselves and when I got there she was placing food in aluminum trays! Drinks were not chilled
She had ice as she said from previous party was block ice my guests had to go smash the ice so we can use it… sorry huge disappointment recommendation choose restaurant of your choice and pay for decor theme you are way way better off.

Had our kid’s birthday here and it was great. The place is super kid-friendly, clean, and the staff were chill and helpful. Made the whole thing really easy. Would definitely do it again.
