We stayed here one night. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and continental breakfast was good with lots of selection and food (oatmeal, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, yogurt, and hashbrowns; 3 types of juice, coffee, milk and tea). We will definitely stay there again!

Room is clean , sheets clean. Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. Bathroom needs an urgent update, the shower is very old, bathtub slippery and dangerous. Coffee maker is good, works well. The tv remote needs to be changed, it was broken, hard to change channels. They offer breakfast but it ends at 9am, too soon! Could go up to 9:30, not all travellers leave so early!

The room was not clean, especially the bathroom. Very noisy location with constant traffic. I wanted a ground floor room because I had my dog with me. They insisted they didn't have any and I was forced to climb the stairs with luggage and dog. I could clearly see there were plenty of empty rooms on the ground floor. The breakfast was good though.

Loved this location. Really great breakfast, hairdryer in room with Kierig. We had two cats and it was worth the pet fee. Maybe an older location. But super clean and friendly.

Went for a work event. Got food poisoning. The people at our table that ordered chicken received salmon since they run out of chicken! The plates were cold. They were bringing one plate at the time. Not the same since the different owners! The sofas in the lobby were so destroyed.

I recently hosted two significant events at this hall: my son's communion and my daughter's confirmation, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect.

Great food and very convenient to have events at this hall. The owner is very helpful and really caters to each client’s preferences. They alao offer many beautiful decor options. So glad we had our wedding and reception there. Would definitely recommend!

We had our wedding at Archeo this past weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to bring our vision to life! The outdoor courtyard was beautiful, the indoor space elegant, and the service impeccable. We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Archeo! Danielle and the entire team made us feel so welcomed and confident that we would have an amazing day - and she was right! We ended up having our ceremony and dinner inside during November and it was the most beautiful and intimate evening. The dinner staff were so accommodating and attentive, the room was flipped quickly between ceremony and reception, and the food was amazing. We cannot recommend Archeo enough!

We had the best wedding day at Archeo. We wanted a unique, cozy venue and this was perfect. Olivia was a dream to work with from start to finish. She helped answer hundreds of questions, met up with us to do multiple walk throughs and went above and beyond. The venue staff and servers on the day were also wonderful. The patio for our first dance was a dream and the space was truly perfect. The food was delicious (mushroom pasta and mini corn dogs get a special mention). The martinis and margaritas were a bit hit. 10/10 venue, highly recommend.

I have photographed a few weddings at Archeo now and I can truly say, what a great experience!!!! Aside from it being a photographers dream in terms of access to the area, the food is amazing and everyone is always super helpful with logistics on the day of. I have photographed a ton of weddings and Archeo has to be one of my favourites.

I was part of a wedding at Archeo in Sept 2022. I am lucky enough to have been at this wedding venue multiple times as a wedding photographer. It is definitely one of my favourite Toronto spots. Not only is the ceremony and reception location stunning the rest of the Distillery District offers many great spots for family, wedding party and couple photos. Obviously the Distillery District can be very busy but it's not so bad that you can't create great photos (unless during Christmas Market season). Also, the outdoor ceremony location is closed off from the public so you get the look of the district and complete privacy. In my opinion, to make a venue truly great you need fantastic food on top of atmosphere and awesome service staff. I have been to many a venue and most fail in food quality. Being a restaurant Archeo goes above and beyond in this area. The food looks and tastes amazing. Even the vegetarian options! Every wedding I have attended here has been gorgeous, intimate and so much fun. Can't wait to be back!

Never answers emails- Not for the community garden, community events, etc. Maybe they answer when you’re paying to book the space but I’ve been in this community for over a year, tried to get involved, emailed about certain events/programs and never heard back

What a great place to hold an event. We were worried about parking as there is a lot of multi family buildings in the area. But it actually worked out well. Was the perfect place for our group of about 60-70. The kitchen had more than we needed and the bathrooms were more than enough for the group. Was clean and spacious. Some of the vehicles left overnight were perfectly safe in this neighborhood as well. Thanks for having us!

For a small venue in a central part of Calgar it's pretty sweet. If you are thinking of of small wedding reception or retirement party or any other special occasion with a limited budget you should look I to it. It has decent P.A. system which is great for a dj or speeches. The room holds sound really well . I just deejayed a wedding on the 7th ig eas a blast. The people were running easy and accomaditing which is always. Great venue

My now wife and I just got married at the Embassy Plaza . From the very 1st time we met, until we left the reception of our wedding, Derek and Marlene were absolutely amazing! The staff (a special thank you to Cassandra who took personal care of us the entire wedding and made sure everything was perfect) was outstanding! The food was delicious & drinks were just right… Everything was fantastic! Thank you again to the entire eveyone! We will definitely be renting a hall there again in the future.

Very cozy nice place to organize every kind of events. First time visiting for a company employee's party and I absolutely liked it! A lot of parking spots, there are several good places for take photos, be a little bit far of noisy area and have a good conversation, there is a place outside to smoke and the decoration is very nice.

I was there for the UCMAS competition in their event hall. They have a huge public parking and good ambient in their event hall

I had a good experience at Embassy Plaza. The facilities are well-kept, staff are helpful, and the environment is welcoming. A convenient and comfortable place to visit.

Magnificent place to organize a meeting, several restaurants and bars located nearby. Excellent service, everything is perfect except…the parking spaces! Excellent food, great service throughout the day, place with exceptional views of the old port!

We had the BEST night and so did our guests. They were raving about the fabulous food, the amazing bar and how unique and elegant the venue was. We had the best experience with Samir and his team that night and in the months leading up to our big day! We couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue!

I recently filmed a wedding for the first time at EWG and was very impressed. The venue is spacious, featuring two beautifully designed banquet halls. The elegant decor and thoughtful layout provided a stunning backdrop for the event. The staff were professional and accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

From a filmmaker's perspective, the lighting is low so better to bring your own lights to capture high-quality footage. The outdoor areas were equally picturesque, perfect for capturing memorable moments. Overall, EWG is an outstanding venue for weddings and events, and I look forward to working there again.

We just held an event at the Eglinton West Gallery. The venue is beautiful - large, spacious, and immaculate. We had a marketplace in the front room, with a panel and speaker discussion in the larger space. There was excellent room for people to shop and venture in the front, as well as the main room. The staff at Eglinton West Gallery are some of the kindness people I have worked with. All exceptionally nice and warm, willing to help, and ensure everything was able to run perfectly and effortlessly. The team in charge are beyond generous with their time and help. Without question would run to work with them again as the process was simple and without any stress. What a wonderful group of people!! Truly.

We truly had a fantastic experience working with EWG for our wedding. Frances was professional and kind and a pleasure to work through the planning with. The team was accommodating of our vision and allowed us to bring in whatever we needed to make the day feel like our own. We kept our decor pretty minimal because the venue speaks for itself. It was the only space we saw because it checked every box - beautiful and rustic venue, string lights and plenty of locations to take photos, a bridal suite with a safe, and a convenient location with plenty of parking for our guests.

We had a great time running our Photo Booth at this stunning venue! The urban-industrial style space is perfect for any event and our wooden booth complemented their decor perfectly! Gorgeous!

I had my wedding here and it was incredible! The staff is so helpful on the day of, you feel like a guest at your own wedding! And i didnt even have a wedding planner!
The food was delicious and all my guests said so. Even with a mishap with communication with the DJ, the music was great and the night was unforgettable.

I just had my wedding at L’Espace Canal last weekend, and what an incredible experience! From planning the event with the venue coordinator, Alexa, to the flexibility with menu creation with chef Stuart, the communication and coordination was so professional and seamless. We also had an amazing day of experience because of Jaime, Tony, Jonathan, and Rohit. We are filled with gratitude that the whole team made our wedding so memorable and perfect!!!! We got so many compliments from our guests on the food, drinks, and service.

A beautiful place, with a cozy elegance. I had the pleasure of flowering a wedding here, bud vase centerpieces, and a wild-style bridal bouquet. To date one of my favourite locations to flower. I also returned on another occasion to dine with friends at the restaurant, I absolutely loved the french onion soup, and the steak frites was very good.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at L'Espace Canal, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we started planning, our coordinator Dietrich took care of every detail with such professionalism and care.

The venue itself is stunning, with its charming ambiance and beautiful views of the canal providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish, the food and service was exceptional.

Overall, L'Ambroisie et L'Espace Canal exceeded all our expectations, and we are so grateful to Dietrich and the entire team for making our wedding day so memorable. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a perfect place to tie the knot.

They listened to all of our ideas and ensured our vision would come to life. We had our wedding at Le Challenger last July 26,2025 and it was perfect.

The venue was beautiful, we have access to the balcony for our garden ceremony, then we used the reception hall for our reception. They even gave us a free room suite so we can drop our stuff there, change our dresses and coats, do make up touch ups and to stay their while cocktail hr was on.

The food was a bomb. The cocktail food and drinks are all tasty. We also have a 4 course meal, and each of the meal was delicious.

The drinks are also amazing. We had an hr cocktail hr and 3 hrs open bar and the bartender was on point!

The crew and waiters also offer exquisite service.

Billy was our main contact. And let me tell you he is very amazing, i planned everything with him and he is very fast to email, respond and call.

If i have to be married again. For sure this will still be the place to be. I recommend Le Challenger to everyone who is looking for a perfect wedding!!

Joe and the entire team at the Challenger were so welcoming and gracious, making the planning process so easy. The space is beautiful and we were able to have our ceremony outside on the terrace.

Went to see Miranda Sings and it was a nice venue. A little confusing but there were signs to help. The show was amazing and the area was nice and well kept.

This is a place in the university of calgary where you can find food and socialize with people. I like this place specially because I had a great time with my friends. If you're overloaded with your classes, you can come here and refresh. There are a reasonable number of restaurants that you can try. Summer time is quiet, however fall and winter are insanely busy as it is difficult to find a spot to eat. I would definitely recommend this place.

A very lively place with lots of weekly events and workshops (like entrepreneurahips) taking place. Sometimes it gets harder to study at the desks by Starbucks because there is a lot of foot traffic between class changes. Best bring your nose cancelling headphones! Also I like how they put wooden benches / bleachers arranged in an informal staircase structure, below the poster screens. Makes for a great socializing environment / take a break, etc. There are also gumball and arcade machines in front of the student store!

This centre is good for hosting events or grabbing lunch (I like the Carl's there), however I do not recommend the convinience store there as they do not display prices and overcharge. The pharmacy is okay, and the concert hall is very nice. Good place to book a function or grab lunch, but beware for the timmies is ALWAYS packed.

had my bridal shower here this past weekend & it was beyond perfect! Rosanna was a dream to work with to plan the event. And Donna was so wonderful on the day of. She kept checking in and made sure the day ran smoothly. The food was also so delicious. Highly recommend to host your event here!

First time here. Attended a company Christmas party and wow.. The food was absolutely incredible. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very attentive. The room was done up beautifully for us. Nothing bad to say about it. The best thing though, was that pasta! Holy cow!

Went to the Marconi Center Ladies Martini Night and had the best time!! The venue was so beautifully set up with amazing lighting, the martinis were all deliciously made by Dave and Donna at the bar and the Crudo Bar and Dinner Buffet were outstanding!! Kudos to Mario, the food was so fresh, plentiful and delicious!! We also were serenaded by a crooner by the name of Shawn Marino who was very entertaining. I will definitely be back next year!

Nice venue, close to churches, accessible to seniors. Bathrooms are old but very well cared for. Actually pleasantly vintage that way. Ladies room had lots of good space for touchups.

Super and customized services by our event Manager - Manveen Kaur and banquet team Mohammed, Dipiish & Luz made the event most valuable for the crowd of 340++ people

Food quality and taste was amazing with the great and wonderful recipes from CHEF RAM, perfect authentic Pakistani cuisine with variety of Veg & Non Veg dishes.

To conclude my comments I would simply say “don’t think twice while selecting venue other than MCC “, Marvelous, graceful and entertaining arrangements to make your day memorable and unforgettable

Beautiful place to host networking and social events. The staff were professional and genuinely invested in delivering quality service to guests. The scenery is beautiful, great places to take a selfie or a group photo.

The Place is great, venue food, service staff was on point. I attended a wedding there a week ago, and was pleased by our server Adam, his service was great, beyond expectation, he took care of everything, made sure we get the right food delivered and were having a great time, his service was perfect along with his personality. Overall, wish to see him again and have him as our server other than that everything was great. GOOD JOB MCC!

I did my wedding at this venue. Jazmin helped me from start to finish. She made the process simple and easy. A process that could have been extremely stressful and costly, was all planned by me, 2 of my sisters, Jazmin and Tarveen at no extra charge. We had 300 guests, everyone was happy. We ordered the middle eastern buffet menu and the food was phenomenal. No complaints. Thank you Jazmin and everyone at Mississauga Convention Centre.

I had the opportunity to experience the convention center through an event I was attending. I found the convention to be very clean, from the bathrooms to the main rooms. There is a great view of Parliament. The staff I had interacting with were great.

Always a great place for my Industry's Landscape Trade Shows in the early spring. Spacious, great food, very clean bathrooms, and awesome underground parking, especially when the weather is not so good!

Very nice conference centre with free underground parking. This place is well maintained and the washroom is clean. Should have patrol to check the underground parking once a while because there are quiet and dark corners. Not too sure who provided the catering but the food quality was very good each time from different events.

Junior at the reception desk is a wonderful man. Professional and polite. Always with a smile. The only thing I don’t like about this hotel is that there are not enough elevators for the amount of children booked at this hotel. This is a favourite hotel of young sports teams.

Went to a work holiday party and was pleasantly surprised by this venue. Attached to Hampton Inn made getting there very easy since that's where we stayed. Great buffet that was well labeled for people with various allergies. Our servers were all very friendly. Hope we go back next year.

Complete and Utter Disaster - Avoid At All Costs
If I could give zero stars, I would. Signing my child up for the "Come Play Soccer" league at St. Anthony's this year has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with a kids' program.
First, the disorganization is astounding. The season was supposed to start on a specific date, but it was delayed by WEEKS with absolutely zero communication from the club. We were just left wondering what was going on. We had to constantly check the website and send emails that never got a response.
Then, the schedule. We were promised Saturday games, which was a key reason we signed up. We planned our entire summer schedule around it. Guess how many Saturday games have happened? NONE. Not a single one. It feels like a complete bait and switch. They post a schedule and then just... don't show up? Don't communicate a cancellation? It's disrespectful to the parents and, more importantly, crushingly disappointing for the kids who get dressed and ready to play for nothing.
To add insult to injury, the price went UP this year. Last year, my child was thrilled to receive a team shirt and a soccer ball as part of the registration. This year? We got absolutely NOTHING. The fee increased, and the value we received plummeted to zero. Where is that extra money going? It certainly isn't going towards organization, communication, or even a simple t-shirt for the kids to feel like part of a team.
This club has taken our money and provided a terrible, disorganized, and dishonest service in return. It has soured my child's excitement for soccer. Save your money and your sanity. We will NOT be returning, and I'd advise any other parent to look elsewhere.

St Anthony's Banquet Hall on St Anthony's Street, next to the Queensway flyover is a seemingly mundane building which affords substantial floor space for catered events and other community social events. The building itself is dated but the venue is usually well decorated to suit budgets and purposes. Whether fulfilling an engagement for a few hundred people or providing a social community event requiring minimal kitchen facilities, the venue enjoys a large car park across the street to make parking straightforward.

Beautiful location, excellent sound system, would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had our Staff Xmas party there and have nothing but fantastic things to say. The service was exceptional, atmosphere was perfect and food was great! All 30 of our guests were very satisfied considering the last couple years we never had great experiences at other venues. Thank you again!!

We had our wedding celebration here in September and we absolutely loved it.
Peter was a huge help in organizing and coordinating the evening. The whole event ran smoothly thanks to him and his staff. We were able to enjoy our big day without having to run around to fix issues, check on vendors or having to delegate tasks to our family members. The food was amazing and the staff was very professional and proactive thorough the night.
The guests had an amazing time. The layout of the room was big enough to have space in between tables and enough space on the dancefloor. Many of the guests have also mentioned that they really enjoyed the fact that they were not rushed to eat fast in between meals.
Overall, we could not be happier with how everything turned out!

I came to this banquet hall for the reception of the baptism of my dear twin. It was very easy to locate and close to the highway. It is also very private, there were four other events going on and I had the impression that we were the only ones there. When the waterfall was turned on it was so beautiful the entrance.

Food is delicious, the hall will be upgraded winter 2024. New washrooms under construction. Completed by May 15, 2025.

One of the best theaters in Toronto and the largest indoor soft-seat theater in Canada. The theater was built by the City of Toronto and opened in 1960. It is currently managed by TO Live, an independent organization and registered charity created by the city.
The theater has 3,000 seats, a stylish design and very professional sound effects, and hosts various professional concerts and other performances all year round.

We had the most wonderful experience hosting our wedding at the River Lounge this past July. We had about 65 people, including children. The venue is intimate and breathtaking, with a stunning patio close to the water that set a perfect, natural backdrop. We needed minimal décor, as the space’s beauty truly speaks for itself, especially with the twinkle lights and overhead chandeliers that gave the space a really warm feeling!

The food was exceptional—from the delicious hors d’oeuvres to the beautifully presented dinner. The service was impeccable, with the wait staff, bartenders, and setup team all delivering top-notch professionalism and care. Everything flowed seamlessly, with perfect timing throughout the event.

Our coordinator, Clem, was an absolute gem. She was organized, attentive, and flexible, meeting with us multiple times before the wedding to ensure every detail was perfect. She handled our questions, last-minute changes, and venue visits with ease and worked well with our other vendors. The whole evening ran like clockwork.

The value for the cost was great and we also used the venue’s recommended florist, who is related to the owners, and they exceeded our expectations. The table arrangements and bouquets were gorgeous, perfectly complementing the space.
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to make our day so special. Highly recommend the River Lounge for any event you have in mind!

Wow! Where to begin! We had our engagement here last weekend and it was the best decision we ever made. The whole planning process was so seamless, we were always heard and met with patience and understanding. These events can always be stressful but Clem and her team made sure we were very well taken care of. The space was amazing with the brick stone walls, and the food…. was DELICIOUS! Literally all our guests came up to us wanting to take some home! If you are still debating on whether or not to book the river lounge for your next event i’d say stop thinking and go for it. You won’t regret it.

I recently attended the Free Thursday Nights event and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was conducive to mingling and engaging in social interactions. One plate, the bar caterer, and their bartender Emilio, deserve special mention for their expertly crafted and diverse selection of both fruity mocktails and cocktails. The River Lounge is a hidden gem of Ottawa on the Rideau River. The fireplace and stone arches were the perfect romantic and timeless backdrop we were seeking for our New Year's Eve wedding.

In our meetings, the owner, Marlon, would make us feel at home and go to great lengths to understand our vision and needs. We were never pressured to spend more than we intended. In fact, Marlon took our budget so seriously, whenever we considered something above our budget he would use his creativity to make things work for us. Marlon understands the importance of every detail and adjusted his seasonal decor to accommodate our wedding theme.

Marlon himself is very particular about food and wine. We have to say his chef created a phenomenal dining experience, complete with wine pairing for each course, that impressed all of our guests. The staff at the River Lounge were incredibly friendly and accommodating with our guests and made sure our special day went off without a hitch. They even put together an elaborate brunch for the day after our wedding!

Our family and friends said that our wedding was truly magical and enchanting. We recommend the River Lounge to anyone who wants their wedding or special event to be a truly memorable experience!
