We got married at The Doctor’s House in July 2025 and couldn’t be happier with our decision. From start to finish, the experience was truly exceptional.

The venue itself is stunning, but what really stood out was the incredible staff. Every single team member was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, from the moment we arrived to the very end of the night. Even during the reception, staff made sure we were looked after and enjoying ourselves. When we had a small issue with our overnight suite, someone came right away to help, no hesitation.

A special thank-you to Danna, who was absolutely amazing. She was super communicative throughout the entire planning process, always answered our (many!) questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. Not once did we feel the ball was dropped, and her clear, timely communication gave us so much peace of mind over the past year. She made everything feel seamless.

And the food, we received so many compliments from guests, especially about the steak. Multiple people told us it was one of the best wedding meals they’ve ever had!

We’re so glad we chose The Doctor’s House and would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you to the entire team for helping make our day so unforgettable!

We got married at The Doctor’s House on May 30, 2025, and it was truly the most magical experience. From the moment we booked, the entire team was a dream to work with. Danna, our coordinator, was incredibly kind, responsive, and detail-oriented—always just an email away and there for us every step of the way, including on the big day itself, where she helped guide everything so seamlessly.

The venue itself is breathtaking—charming, romantic, and picture-perfect. What really elevated the experience was the level of service. Giovanna, our server at the sweetheart table, was phenomenal. She made sure our meals were hot every time we sat down (which any couple knows is rare on your wedding day!), and she checked in on us as well as Danna.

Every little detail was executed flawlessly. The staff made us feel like our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us. We can’t thank The Doctor’s House enough for making our wedding day feel so effortless, elegant, and filled with joy. It was truly perfection.

We've had the pleasure of photographing weddings at The Doctor's House many times, and it’s always a joy to return. The team is incredibly organized, attentive and genuinely supportive. Last season, we had the chance to work with Danna on several occasions—she consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly for each couple. The venue itself offers a variety of beautiful backdrops that are perfect for capturing natural, timeless photos. Plus, the close proximity to Kleinburg adds another great option for wedding photo session. We’re really looking forward to being back again this season!

We had our wedding at The Doctor’s House and it was nothing short of perfect. Our guests are still raving about it, saying it was hands-down the best wedding they’ve ever been to — and we couldn’t agree more.

First off, the venue itself is stunning. From the charming walkways to the lush gardens and warm, elegant interiors, every corner is picture-perfect. We got married in the chapel, and it was absolutely magical — intimate, romantic, and full of character. The entire property made for the dreamiest photo backdrops.

The food was absolutely off the charts. Multiple guests told us it was the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding. Every course was delicious, beautifully plated, and served hot and fresh. Many weeks later, people are still talking about it. Highly recommend the filet mignon! Truly next-level.

The team at The Doctor’s House was phenomenal. We didn’t hire a planner, and honestly, we didn’t need one because of how organized and supportive the venue team was. A huge thank you to Danna, who was a dream to work with — calm, patient, responsive, and so genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Her attention to detail and care made all the difference. The level of service across the board was 10/10.

We also had a great experience with the in-house vendors. Our officiant, Rev. Steve, created a personalized, heartfelt ceremony that we and our guests will never forget. He took the time to get to know us, and every word felt so meaningful. And our DJ Anthony from Exclusive Entertainment kept the dance floor going all night! The music, energy, and vibe were exactly what we had hoped for.

If you're thinking about having your wedding here — do it. We wouldn’t change a single thing and honestly wouldn’t consider getting married anywhere else. The Doctor’s House is simply the best.

Edward & I had a wonderful experience here. We didn’t hire an additional wedding planner or coordinator (we planned it ourselves) and the team at The Doctor’s House made the journey smooth. They were patient throughout the process & very accommodating. We booked the Country Fare hall which gave us an indoor & outdoor space. We were even able to get an in-house gelato cart for our guests. They also have beautifully manicured gardens and the cutest chapel space. Love this place!

We have rented this place for various functions. Great space, a beautiful stage, various other facilities, and friendly staff. We will keep coming back. Although the capacity is 250+ people, very limited parking is a significant issue.

My band played a show in the main hall here, and it was a great experience. The staff were super helpful, and the hall was big and suited our exact needs. Washrooms were clean, and everything was great. One thing to note is that every entrance had stairs, but the noth side entrance had a wooden ramp to wheel equipment in. Cool place, recommended!

Great hall. Great near west end location. Good parking and right on major bus routes. Nice two-level layout with a stage also. Comfortably sits 300+ guests for weddings or whatever kind of event. Self-help kitchen lets you pick and choose your own caterer. Church admin staff proficient and friendly. I’d rent it again!

Very Nice Church ⛪️ in Nation's Capitol !

This is a great place for a large gathering. Hubby and I attended the Peru National Day party here recently and it was a lot of fun. Great dance floor. Strategic kitchen and bar.

We had our baby shower in woodbine banquet hall. We are satisfied and happy with services provided to us . Thanks to Reema who helped us in arranging most of the stuff and was open to feedbacks. We had blast during our baby shower party .. the waitress were serving pass arounds continuously.. they service ,hall and food was on point ..

Seems like a nice venue. But worst service ever. I Was there for an event yesterday. There was no coordination from the service staff from the hall. There security guard behaved as if he is ICE. The what seem to be manager/supervisor for the staff at this banquet hall was a real disaster. She treated guest like absolute trash. Food was late to be served and bars was closed off earlier than usual for these occasions. Lots of bad mismanagement. I will never do an event here of my own nor would I recommend this hall t anyone I know. Maybe the staff/supervisor should take a course is the field of working there and hospitality going forward.

I was searching for a very clean and affordable hotel near Toronto’s Pearson Airport.

I wanted a hotel that could provide reasonable value for a reasonable night’s rate.

Woodbine Banquet Hall Hotel is that hotel for me.

The hotel provides a free breakfast with each nights stay.

Delicious meaty bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, cereal, toast, muffins, fruit salad, pancakes, juices, coffee or tea. The bacon quality surpasses all other hotel continental breakfasts I have ever experienced.

Many of the staff have worked at the hotel for 20 - 30 years. This tells you something of the family staff feeling and wonderful daytime management of this facility .

I stayed eight nights in October 2024 and Iit is certainly make my number choice for a local airport hotel.

Woodbine Banquet Hall is absolutely stunning — the perfect venue for weddings and special events! The décor, lighting, and spacious layout are beautiful, and the service is top-notch. We had our Mandvo (pre-wedding event) at the Woodbine Banquet hall, and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very helpful and responsive. We dealt with Marzuk primarily and he was absolutely fantastic! He helped us go over the menu and make modifications for all dietary needs. He even sat down with the chef and provided a table for dietary restrictions. He was always very responsive and made our night a complete success!

The banquet hall was beautifully done, and we got so many compliments on the food! I would 100% suggest this venue if you have an upcoming event!

First time watching an event here during stampede. Huge room and had lots of bars so didn't have to worry about lineups. They had two mechanical bulls setup for ppl to try. We went to watch Kevin Costner and his band perform. Didn't even know he had a band but the show was pretty good and fun.

I went for Pennywise and Dropkick Murphys (punk concert). I think the venue was a little large for the application.

i’m a fan of this venue for concerts, you can get good spots if you get there early and are down to wait a bit. very accessible too. i saw lil yachty here and had a blast. saw t pain here last year too. definitely enjoy this venue

Don't let the big four you can enjoy going to Comic-Con every year. It's the best place to be able to go and hang out and dress up and enjoy all your comic characters that you grew up with. Even pretending you're a comic hero for a day is kind of a cool thought.

Great place to have your party. Nice Christmas decoration. I've been here several times, service and food are always on top. The have parking but the don't have elevator and the bathrooms are in the first floor.

This is a classy medium to large event venue with really nice reception hall and banquet rooms. Great acoustics. Great food. Friendly service. Parking around the back. Respectable pricing.

Booked a team party and they decorated for us and everything. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient with 22 kids and their adults.

Awesome little arcade gives something to do in Strathmore without having to go into the city. Clean place, nice atmosphere decent selection of arcade games. I would have preferred if all the machines took the same tokens, and if you could rent out the pool tables by the hour instead of struggling to get the right change all the time, but a really nice little arcade close to home.
Edit: you could just unlock the side of the coin operated tables and let people take out of the side collection rail, then it would be a time in / out at so much per hour... Just a thought! All the best and we'll see you again soon!

Went there tonight for the first time to play some pool. We ended up staying 3.5 hours. The facility is clean, well kept, with a nice variety of games like pinball, classic games, skeeball, basketball, buck hunter and some others. The staff was very friendly and the owner obviously takes a lot of pride in his company and was very welcoming.
This is a great place for teens to hang out and I hope to see more people support this small business. Strathmore definitely needed something like this!

I hosted my birthday party at Maz Hall, and it was an absolute blast! The ambiance was delightful, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the decorations were top-notch. Plus, the catering was delicious. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend this venue for any celebration!

Tender and tasty butter chicken, delicious okra , spicy dhal, a great addition to lachine . Service with a smile. I was treated by the owner and served by her mother, a long time restaurant operator.

Avoid this hall at all costs. I am saying this not because of the venue but because of the money-hungry owner. I had planned a 60th birthday party for my mother and several days before the event my mother fell down and hurt her arm. I then decided to cancel the birthday celebration but Reetu was not having it. She said she didn't know how to deal with cancellations and proceeded to charge my credit card the remaining amount without my permission AFTER I let her know that I wanted to cancel. Mind you, I explained that the deposit was meant for them in case of cancellations, not the total amount. Her own contract stated they would only keep the deposit. She then refused to refund the money and I had to reach out to my bank to get this resolved. Very stressful and unpleasant experience.

I don't recommend this venue. We saw how this owner talked to her customer. They paid and she wanted to cancel them. How she went about it for a comment is so unprofessional. She showed that her business is really not serious. She sabotage their wedding by not putting AC on. Let's be honest you expect alot of guest and don't open the ac? Common not professional shame on you and on how you do things.

I had the most stressful and worst experience with Reetu while organizing my wedding. All she cares about it's money and want you to pay everything. She doesn't care about providing a good service. She refused to accommodate us with any of our request. Organizing your wedding with someone who gives you headaches instead of helping you to plan your wedding.

During the reception the food was served very late and it was cold. she served us in a plastic glass
The food was not enough,
- the drinks were very cheap quality especially the wine.

Please avoid this place. And don't get fool with her beautiful smile. You will regret it.

We happened upon this place on Stephen Ave on a walk about. The Fillet Minion Alberta Steak, wonderful patio on the boardwalk. When it got to cool - we were invited in- Romantic areas, and Sports Dining - plus a bar. The smoked Brisket was also outstanding. Our wine selection was understandably sparse post Covid and Stampede. The waitress found a very good wine and gave us free desert. Picture sugar cinnamon donut balls filled with vanilla cream and chocolate cream filling - very unique and outstanding. Well Done. I highly recommend

I would to say thank you to the Metropolitan Centre for their hospitality on our wedding day (Aug 18, 2018).

2 months before our wedding date, our previous venue went south, leaving us scrambling to find another venue. The Met took us in right away, relieving tons of additional stress and we couldn't be happier (turned out to be a million times better than the initial venue we chose). They were able to bring in the Chinese Cultural Restaurant to cater a traditional 10 course Chinese meal (which was absolutely delicious!).

We would highly recommend this venue for any type of wedding! Special thanks to the marketing managers Howard and Sabrina, operations manager Jason and catering manager Jon and the rest of the Met staff for all of their help. Absolutely made our day extra memorable.

I've attended a wedding here and my overall impressions of the place are around a 7.5. The reception hall is pretty good but you can definitely find a better venue for the ceremony.

I had my wedding at Sala Gatineau and Luigi and his team went above and beyond our expectations. The food was superb (pleased the most pickiest eaters), the hall itself is really beautiful and the whole team was very accommodating to our needs. They also make sure to incorporate new and unique concepts to make your wedding stand out.

It's very clear that Luigi has a passion for what he does and he worked hard to execute a smooth day for us. The maitre d Lana was also incredible and made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. I can't say enough great things about our experience and highly recommend Sala Gatineau if you are considering it for your wedding reception.

Was there for a friend's wedding over the long weekend and the staff was very courteous and friendly!

Place is good for event but food was garbage miss management, shortage of staff before arranging any event here must appoint one person on food delivery duty and keep open eyes all the time

I went to a birthday party at Speranza banquet hall yesterday and was really impressed. The hall was spotless including the washrooms and everything and was so well managed. Very delicious food. The servers were polite, attentive, and the whole event ran right on time. It made celebration feel extra special!!

I attended my friend’s brother’s engagement at this banquet hall and was really impressed. The place is very spacious, the lobby is clean and welcoming, and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Everything was well managed, and there’s honestly nothing to complain about. A great venue for any special occasion!

Speranza Banquet Hall was absolutely amazing! I did my engagement party there back in May 2025 and my reception just recently in August 2025. Both times it was a great experience! The Prime Sound team were great to work with for the sound and audio 👌 Palwinder paji was great, he walked us through all the details when it came to choosing the type of table cloth, napkins, stage size etc. He walked us through each hall to make sure we saw all options on which hall would best accommodate us. Our food for both events was absolutely amazing! From appetizers to dinner everything was delicious! The one thing our guests really enjoyed about this hall was the layout, it feels like you are at 2 different parties since there's a lounge area outside too. Overall we had a great 10/10 experience! If you decide to go with Speranza, speak to Palwinder for sure!

We threw a sweet sixteen party for my daughter birthday. The hall was very good and food was amazing. The support staff was very good.

I recently attended a wedding at The Gathering Ranch and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The outdoor fireplace was a great touch - it made for some amazing pictures!

The highlight of the venue was definitely the pond with its own private island and bridge access. It was perfect for taking pictures and gave us a truly unique backdrop for our friends special day. We also loved that that they were a full service venue, and made sure we had everything we needed, including accommodations at the ranch house for the bridal party!

Overall, I would highly recommend The Gathering Ranch as a wedding venue. They made sure the day was perfect!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The hosts Aaron and Kari were very welcoming and only wish we could stay longer.

For anyone suffering with jet lag or an early riser, this is the place to be! The sun rises throughout the house and outside was SO peaceful.

The property has a hot tub and sauna but we didn't get chance to utilise this as we went to the Strathmore Stampede (which is literally 5 minutes away).

The beds are very comfortable and the house is fully kitted out for people visiting. Breakfast and the coffe bar were also sublime - absolutely loved our breakfast burritos 🌯

There are two beautiful German Shepards and an outdoor cat which are very friendly.

Would highly recommend The Gathering to everyone and anyone open to an excellent hosted BnB experience 😀

We were there for a bachelorette party this weekend. We were supposed to have the whole place to ourselves but the owners were there and just hanging out in the house with guests when we got there.
When the owners finally left, they locked their two big German shepherds in their locked room that we couldn’t access and left them in there for hours until we called them to ask them to deal with the dogs. Those poor dogs barked the whole time they were in there. And finally when they came, they just stayed at the property for the rest of the evening.
The owner kept coming into the kitchen to attempt to join our conversation? And just made things awkward since they were supposed to be out of the house by then.

It was a strange experience, I do NOT recommend staying here.

We hosted our baby shower on the 1st floor at the Princeton Event Space & Venue, and it was the perfect place to celebrate. The space is bright, clean, and spacious, with a modern look that worked beautifully with our theme. We loved having the freedom to decorate and make it personal, and our guests had plenty of room to sit, mingle, and enjoy themselves.

The staff was so accommodating and helped everything run smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this venue for any special event!

We hosted our wedding at The Princeton and it could not have been a better choice. The space was gorgeous and worked beautifully for both the ceremony and reception. It had the perfect mix of character and warmth, and our guests were so impressed with the atmosphere.

My wife and I hosted our baby shower at the Princeton, and it was such a great experience! The space is bright, clean, and spacious, with plenty of room to decorate and celebrate. We hosted on the first floor, but the venue has multiple levels, each with its own charm and amazing photo opportunities. The owner and staff were accommodating and professional, which made everything run smoothly. I had my birthday at The Princeton a couple of weeks ago, and it was such a great experience. The venue itself was the perfect space for celebrating, comfortable, welcoming, and just the right vibe for a fun night with friends.

Booking with Nik was a breeze and he was so easy to communicate with and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. On the night of, the bar service was excellent. The staff behind the bar were friendly, efficient, and made sure everyone was taken care of.

Overall, The Princeton was the perfect spot to host my birthday, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to celebrate.

We booked the 3rd floor of Princeton for our staff work party and cannot say enough great things about this place! Nik was a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and responsive to our questions. Loved the historic charm of the building combined with the mirrors, chandeliers, and decorative accents. Because it's such a unique space, there wasn't a lot of decor needed to dress it up. They took care of all the tables, seating, decor, and place settings that made it even more festive and tasteful. Having access to the rooftop patio was a bonus with a great view of downtown.

On the day of our event, Nik and the bar staff demonstrated excellent hospitality that was exemplary. The caterers that they sourced provided a delicious meal that went over well with everyone. My only piece of constructive feedback would be the sound system. It was a high-quality tower speaker, but because of the "L" shape of the venue, some found it difficult to hear the audio clearly during a video we played. Having wall or ceiling speakers around the venue would make it even more amazing.

I've received so much positive feedback from our team saying what a great party and venue this was, would highly recommend the Princeton!

Hosted my son’s wedding with 268 guests. The venue was so accommodating and was a beautiful setting for our occasion. David Robin and the staff were amazing in accommodating our needs from makeup space, hair and bridal room to decor and room change over during our reception. Food again was amazing and or guests were so impressed with both the service and the facility.

We had an amazing experience having our wedding at The Warehouse in November! David and his team were incredible and made the planning process stress-free. Definitely recommend!

If you're not familiar with the area, you will get lost. Tough place to find. The venue is okay for a wedding. In house sound system is not that great. Very echoey. In house lights are dim. Looks cold...not cozy. Plenty of parking. Good choice of alcohol selections.

An amazing Venue that can truly be transformed into any event your mind can ponder. The team works tirelessly from conception through teardown to make your night run seamlessly! Thank you!

Both front desk agents that I dealt with were great, but I was thoroughly disappointed that there was toenails, clumps of hair, and some white powder substance all over the pool area and when I brought it up to the front desk, he said that they would be closing the pool and they were really sorry. But when I came back an hour later, the pool was still open and still dirty. Guaranteed they did do a thorough job cleaning in the morning, however we were not able to utilize it as we had to head out early so it was kind of disappointing that we paid for a hotel with a pool to not get a pool. I also noticed on my bed skirt in our room, there was clearly dried boogers, and that made it overall just not worth what we paid. I discussed this with the front desk and they said they’d talk to the manager and I was given a $20 credit, which in my opinion is not enough for the fact that we didn’t get to use the facilities we paid for because of the cleanliness, and my room had someone else’s visible DNA on it

There was no hot water to clean up once we checked in our room. The small fridge made an alarming amount of noise. The bed was very comfortable! We had a good sleep.

Everything about our stay was great but I want to give a special shout out to the front desk staff who patiently helped with login and profile issues as part of securing a room booking. Good people!!

A good hotel. Clean, tidy, nice pool and good service

Stayed for a hockey tournament that was being held in Standard, a 30 minute drive away. The hotel was comfortable and they did well to manage kids playing in hallways, parents having drinks, etc. The pool was a good diversion for the kids. The nearby Roadhouse restaurant was a good find.

The location to many places to eat, shop and fuel up was great. Everything was within walking distance of you wanted. The rooms were really clean and well kept, much appreciated after a long day on the road. Breakfast was awesome, a bit crowded, but absolutely manageable. Wish the pool and hot tub were maybe open until 11, but that was really our only complaint. I would definitely stay here again.

Let me respond to a lot of the complaints about this place: the pillows are not small. The staff wrap them tight in the pillow case. Relax. They're normal pillows. The pool has a pea gravel textured floor. Calm down, Karen, it's not actually cutting your kids feet unless you're letting them run around like neanderthals. You'd also complain if the floor was smooth and your kid cracked their head open because you let them run around.

It's a clean place, quiet even though it was fully booked. The staff are all very helpful and nice. The breakfast could use some work, but what do you do if you don't have a full cooking staff?

This is good place comparing the price. If they can place a few picnic table around will be great especially for the travelers who love eat outside with own food.
The staffs are all nice. But it looks the guesses are out of control. A crowed teenagers are crazing in the pool and ignoring the rules. A group of Indian are very noisy in the cafeteria.
All others are good. Close to Walmart and gas stations and restaurants.

The hotel room was nice however ourbathroom door handle was broken. The rooms were clean but you can tell they have some wear. My son really enjoyed the waterslide and pool however we thought the water smelled of dirty sock water. If the water was cleaner I think we would rate the hotelallot better. The breakfast was excellent and was included and they had a good selection of food and drink for my family. I would come back to stay here if the pool water could be kept better.

Our room wasn't cleaned properly before our arrival. The night front desk person was unsure about what he should do in a situation like this. There was a previous guest dirty sock behind a chair, a half eaten chocolate bar under the bed and a used towel in the dresser. The front desk person, said he couldn't help us, but if we came down the next morning his manager would be happy to help. Manager was okay, called her housekeepers "baby" cleaners, as they were new. They aren't the problem, the training they received is the problem. Offered 20% off. . . I guess that's okay. Will probably stay again despite the cleanliness issue cause everyone deserves a second chance.

Went to this place for the Iftaar Buffet. At $40 per person, this is an expensive buffet but the service was excellent and there were lots of food options for the price. My only issue was the taste. I was hoping they would have a couple of dishes that tasted exceptional...but unfortunately that was not the case. If you are looking for a huge variety of items...this is the place to be. If you are looking for excellent taste...this is not the place.

The food was really good along with their service. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely recommend to try the Farrouj, Kafta Skewers, Tawouk Skewers, Batata Harra!

Absolutely delicious experience at Habebes Restaurant!
The food was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection.
The Kafta Beef and Kabob Beef were both incredibly tender and seasoned just right.

But the highlight of the meal was their signature Lamb Chops — so juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

Every bite was a delight! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering dishes.

Will definitely be coming back!

This was the perfect setting for our perfect wedding reception. The hall fit our 130 party with lots of room for dancing and a buffet line. It was easy to work with the hall organizers. Thanks for a great hall.

We had a wedding there yesterday. It's really awful, none of the promises made to us were kept, and when we asked for the money back they didn't give it, their kitchen is full of bugs, everywhere is full of bugs, it's disgusting, even if you make a mistake and hire them there, don't let them cook, it's absolutely awful.🤮🤮

In terms of entertainment I'll give it a 10 on 10 five stars.the host was amazing very interactive great show they really had the party going. all around a good time I went here for my work Christmas party. What I didn't like was that it was very hot, the server that served the alcohol was over worked she seemed overwhelmed flustered, slow but I don't blame her for that there was a lot of people they needed more servers or perhaps let let the guest go to the bar I dont know the drinks weren't good either I got a cranberry mixed drink and it had the standard shot amount of alcohol I guess which was fine but in a tall glass of cranberry you couldn't even taste the alcohol I mean it was literally over kill I don't understand why someone would put that much juice in it at least ask, the food was terrible the chicken had a weird grey gravy I'm pretty sure that's what made me throw up.The salmon was tasteless ,the pasta was the best out of all the options the food was lukewarm if they could fix those few things I would definitely go back because the show was great.

Had my wedding there and was the worst experience ever.
Food was awful and although we paid extra for people to be able to drink soft drinks and juices they never served them. I also paid to get a sweet table and they only brought out the food I brought. They never gave me back my center pieces and my cake stands. I also lost my wedding shoes. When I called them to comp’ They told me they would calm me back they never did. I went to get my stuff and they never wanted to help me. If I could give them zero starts that’s what I would choose

I don't do reviews a lot. We had our wedding there and this place to supply food. But the food didn't turned out to be like the one we agreed on. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Their excuse was that the chif was sick that day and the servers cooked (not my problem) I called them and left a voicemail after the wedding but they never returned my calls so I decided to go and see them in person. I waited a long time for the manager. Finaly he came to me and surprisingly he told me that the owner is not allowing him to talk to me and he had to leave me. We didn't even had a talk or argument to end up like that.

Of course we had made full payment a week prior to the wedding so why would he even want to talk to me. In the voicemail I said my name and I asked to talk to the manager for a complain (I guess they are not used to get complaints)

The food problem is minor now. The poor quality management and the disrespect made me experience the worse customer services I got in my life.

That ruined this place's reputation to each of my 144 guests and two of us and of course it worth a share in public.

I don't even know where to begin. Worst food ever. Who ruins PASTA????!!!!! Especially for the price. You can find better halls for that price. Totally disappointed! Besides, who uses punch fountains now a days? It's known to be the filthiest thing to serve from.
The Place is questionable, even a chair broke on someone that night! It would get a 0 star if that existed.

I’m giving Palace two stars because it used to be the place to be back in the day! Not sure what’s going on now, they can’t fill it up like they used to. None of the toilets in the ladies’ washroom could flush; the $20 entry before 10:30pm; $9 shots; Amapiano the entire set? I LOVE Amapiano, but tonight was a lot, with repeated songs lol.

Some positives - Good women : men ratio; the song mixes were generally good, I danced the whole night & people were super respectful in my eyes. I love that women had their cute outfits on!!!

We need to style up respectfully. The Palace has so much potential to be what it was before & even better.

Omg! What's going on, Palace? You guys need to upgrade your vibe. This used to be my go-to, but recently, I've been there 3 times in the last 3 months and have been disappointed every time.
Saturday night, 08/16, the DJ sucked and we paid $22 for that crap. I have to find another place with better fun/vibes.

Watched Ruger perform here. And the party after was mad. The DJ had all the afrobeat jams on queue. Mad fun. Ain't no party like a 9ja party.

Came here with a friend on new year's eve and we were not impressed. We bought tickets online and waited in line outside the venue for 45 minutes while it was cold and drizzling rain. This was the same line for people who were waiting to buy tickets at the door. Bouncers were telling people that they could bypass the line if they had VIP tickets or pay $100 to skip the line. I explicitly told them that, it was wild of them to charge a ridiculous amount to skip the line. One of the bouncers kind of shrugged and said that's how they make money on busy nights like NYE. What a way to exploit people and demotivate them from coming back again.. The coat check staff and bartenders were nice though. The DJ was all over the place with the music. He would play 1 song within a genre and then the next song would be a completely different genre. The transitions between the songs were awful. You would be dancing a certain type of way and then be stopped in your track because the DJ stopped the beat and transitioned into something completely different. It was hard to move throughout the space as the dancefloor was awkwardly formatted. After trying to make the most of NYE, we left 2 hours later. Would not recommend coming here.

The wait staff were great, I didn't have to line up much. Problems are the door price - usually $20 to $50, or more. The bigger problem is they force you to coat check - $4 depending on the night. This is a problem for several reasons: if it's a part of your outfit, it should not be considered outerwear; you should not expect everyone to be warm enough; the garment could be a luxury item opening you to libel; stops anyone from taking a smoke break which is technically illegal; and your staff hate this rule and everyone told me it's a rule of "the stupid owner." Listen to your staff, not doing so is why nightclubs fail in byward. Coat check alone means I won't be back. Aside from that the entry is so small that any sort of movement is a nightmare. Music was ok but some artists went off script.

Little strange setting and location but once you enter, it passes the vibe check. We were driving to reach this location and saw many cars parked on the curb and that's when we thought ok this is where we need to be and followed them lol. It's more like warehouse kinda setup. Has two levels for private get-togethers as well. We got to meet many talented artists as well displaying their art (various forms). Good thing there have a small bar and also a restaurant (which we didn't try).
Parking in the premises can be challenging so park on the road and just walk.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with the management at the Urban Center at 70 Bongard Avenue. I was hired by an organizer to help assist with a market they rented the space for on Saturday, December 7th. When I arrived at 5:45 a.m. to help with setup, I was shocked to find the venue in complete disarray. Furniture that was supposed to be moved out by the venue management was still scattered around, the space was littered with garbage and cigarette butts, and the air reeked of marijuana.

It became apparent that the management had hosted their own event the night before, which ended at 4 a.m.—just an hour and a half before we arrived. Instead of focusing on setting up for the market, I ended up helping clean up the mess left behind from their party. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable.

When I returned at the end of the event to assist with teardown and cleanup, I learned that the management had arrived earlier in the afternoon, around 1 p.m., and threatened to shut down the event. This unnecessary interference created significant stress for the organizer and vendors. The situation escalated to the point where the police were called, adding further chaos to an already difficult day.

This experience was a nightmare for everyone involved, especially the event organizer, who was left to deal with the fallout of the management's unprofessional behavior. If you’re considering hosting an event at this venue, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The lack of organization and professionalism here is staggering.

This is a great space to hold events, large or small. Over the years we've held networking events that ranged from 20 - 150 people. They have multiple rooms that can accommodate any size. I was there the other day, speaking to the owner Emile, and he showed off their new, beautiful back patio, which is conveniently located next to their great bar setup. Great spot for birthdays or other celebrations!

Had a great experience with this place., really enjoyed. One of the best in Ottawa.
