Melba and her company are outstanding! I took a soap making workshop in February and loved it so much I asked her to host one at my Day Spa in Cochrane. It went really well, so fun and informative. Melba is a true community leader and such a great spirit. Supporting local, sustainable and the soaps are beautiful. Looking forward to doing more!

Bowness Soapworks (inside Greenbriar Market) is a hidden gem with an incredible variety of handmade soaps. Every bar is unique, both in scent and design, and it’s clear how much thought goes into each one. You can honestly spend 15 minutes just smelling everything—they have something for everyone.

Whether you’re into fresh and citrusy, deep and earthy, or herbal and calming, they’ve got a scent that will win you over. A few of my favourites so far:
• Mountain Wave (bergamot, lavender & pine) – smells like a mountain morning.
• You Can Do It (charcoal, patchouli & lavender) – grounding and inspiring.
• Margo’s Mint (eucalyptus & cucumber) – super fresh and playful.
• Lemongrassi Lakes (rosemary & lemongrass) – bright and energizing.

The labels are witty, the ingredients are clean, and the aesthetic is rustic yet refined. It’s clear this is more than just soap—it’s local art with personality.

Super fun! Melba is very knowledgeable. We had great walk in the forest and found some mushrooms (edible and not)!

Melba is the sweetest instructor and obviously loves her classes, sharing knowledge and lifting up those around her. I just attended her soap making workshop for the second time to solidify my understanding and ability to make my own soaps. She also advised if you want to do private functions you only need 8 people to do your own soap making function!

What an experience! Melba is a true giver to the community and such a great educator/instructor. She’s so funny but clear when it came to soap making. Calgary is so lucky to have her!!!! Thank you Melba :^)

We love shopping at Calgary Event Wholesale. Their selection keeps getting better and better! The new real touch florals they’ve brought in are absolutely beautiful. We recently used some of their magenta, peach, pink and yellow florals as the hero pieces in a 2-piece floral arch, and they truly made the whole install pop.

I had an amazing experience working with Noor! She was incredibly organized and always open to exploring new ideas to enhance my vision. She worked tirelessly on mock-ups for the backdrop until we were completely happy with the design. The balloon arches, backdrop decals, centerpiece balloons, and the balloons for the kids' table were all absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend working with her without hesitation.

This is the only place that I purchase quality jewelry from. I have known Pamela for years. Her designs, and the quality of all of her pieces, is exceptional. Great customer service, gems that you won’t see anywhere else.

I have been wearIng Pamela’s earrings for at least a decade, and can’t imagine wearing anything else. They are of extraordinary quality and beautiful design. I have about 10 pairs of drops for U-shaped keepers, and just ordered a pair of fossilized bryozoan stones on shepherd’s hooks. They are so elegant and look fabulous with the platinum settings. Pamela is a genius and terrific to work with.

Working with Pamela is an absolute delight. I found Disegno quite by accident and I am so glad I did. Pamela was able to adapt an otter pendant design she already had to personalise it as a way to honour my mum. The final piece has earned me more compliments and questions as to where it came from than I can count. Pamela is fantastic - a true artist and expert - and Disegno will be my go-to.

Pamela's work is exquisite! Many of her creations—and I've bought quite a few—are also flexible in how they can be used, which means you can buy different stones for the same basic earring, for instance. Her online shopping service is also first rate, and she personally checks in to make sure your package has arrived safely.
Besides all that, she has an unerring sense of colour, knowing what gems will be the best match for an individual. And she is a walking encyclopedia on the gems themselves!
Oh, and did I say very fairly priced? Just a wonderful person and place to shop.

I have purchased and designed several rings from Disegno. This boutique is my 'happy place' - I will only purchase jewelry from Pamela - an honest, creative and style inspired business woman. The highest quality and professionalism in Ottawa. I ordered some succulents for a friends baby shower that I was planning and was very pleased with both the product and service. Our event dates changed due to COVID and they were very accommodating. There was a miscommunication causing a shipping delay but they jumped on the issue and resolved it within hours of realizing the issue existed. I highly recommend and will use them again in the future. The product is absolutely gorgeous, cost effective and customer service can't be beat.

Julianne maintained a positive outlook while also being realistic with us about possible challenges related to the pandemic, our remote and rustic venue, and our budget.

When we arrived at the cabin on our wedding day and we saw how Julianne had brought the vision to life, I was truly speechless (and then burst into happy tears!). I love my new bottle. So awesome and perfect for me. I have been sick and just had tea in it. I have the habit of forgetting my tea but it stayed warm all night and day until I remembered it and finished it and the taste stayed the same. Thinking of getting one customized for my hubby. Great for gifts or even yourself. The staff was very friendly and pretty good at editing what I wanted. Super accommodating and kind. If anyone is willing to sit and be patient with my perfectionist mom then you know they are good. $35 for the bottle and $10 for the engraving is a little steep but totally worth it

I wish there was a 10 star, Lamose deserves it!! I needed a special gift for friends who really supported me when I lost my mom this April but I couldn't find anything that they can remember their kindness with. I Googled & bumped on lamose. I contacted them on Sunday night & sent the photos, they were so patient with my many changes. On Monday I got the email back, they recustomized the tumblers for me way better than I had done!! This is the first customer service that I received email replies within minutes, by 2pm Monday I received the last pic of the tumblers & guess what, the following day Tuesday the tumblers were ready for pick up!! So beautifully done & packaged. My friends love them, they can't believe the many hours the coffee stays hot. Lamose am forever grateful! You are truly the best.

I ordered a seating chart and gifts for my bridal party wine glasses, bottle openers, bracelets, slippers and had them personalize with their names on the boxes and on the slippers and glasses. She is amazing I will definitely still be ordering from her in the future.

I had the best experience with Charlene! I ordered 3 sets of pjs, 3 champagne flutes and 2 jewelry dishes for my bridal party and myself. Charlene made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and sent me various examples of font and colour options for each piece. Everything came exactly as pictured and are all so beautiful! Cannot recommend this place enough!

I have seen florists in Centretown charge absurd amounts of money for three sad little flowers and a leaf, so I did a lot of research before coming here.

My budget was $50, I described my colour specifications, and the owner created an impossibly gorgeous bouquet: bird of paradise, yellow rose, sunflower, Gerbera daisies, beautiful shapes. The shop has such a comfortable air inside and out. I will never go anywhere else for flowers in Ottawa!

Jim was absolutely amazing, and we honestly cannot recommend him enough! From the moment we met him at a wedding show in early 2024, we knew we were in good hands. My husband and I just said no matter what, this is our guy. We had to have him! Booking with Jim was so easy and seamless his whole process was clear and straightforward, which made everything less stressful for us.

Like most 2020 brides, I have had to deal with a lot of last minute decisions in regards to my wedding. When I reached out to Stephita, it was a late evening, wine drinking, google scramble to desperately find a place to help me get invitations for a date just over 2 months away.
