I had the absolutely joy of working with Sophie and Veronique for my wedding - they did hair and makeup for my sister, my two sisters-in-law and I and we all looked absolutely stunning!

I remain amazed at how well they captured my vision for my very colorful, very queer makeup and the joy and playfulness they added to my day - the fact that the makeup and hair both survived the day intact despite how much I cried feels like an absolute miracle!

Loved the makeup lessons! I took natural makeup classes with Veronique, and it was such a great experience. The vibe was super friendly, and you could tell she really knows her stuff. She was amazing at adjusting the lessons to exactly what I needed. No matter your skill level, this is the perfect place to start where you are and get to where you want to be!

I've had the chance to work with Sophie for a number of years now and can truly say that she is one of the best makeup and hair artists in Montreal!

She is a true professional and works fast, delivering flawless results each time. I've always appreciated her genuine care in understanding my vision for a particular event and her subsequent efforts and patience in ensuring that I leave feeling confident and content with my final look.

Additionally, as someone with darker skin who deals with some hyperpigmentation on the face, I've always been impressed with Sophie's knowledge and understanding of color theory and color correction. She is able to color match any skin tone effectively and can color correct in a way that leaves you with a beautiful, unified tone, regardless of what skin issue you may be dealing with.

Lastly, she is always on time! This is something else I have truly come to appreciate about Sophie. The day before any of our appointments together, she will take the time to confirm the appointment and address with me. No matter how remote or obscure an address I've given her, she has always shown up on time and with a big grin on her face.

Alisha did mine and my 4 bridesmaids makeup for my wedding and I cannot say enough good things!! Not only is she amazing at what she does she is very personable and fun whole being professional. Communication with her was always easy (which goes a long way when planning a wedding and having so many vendors) quick replies, on time and prepared! My makeup was amazing and lasted all night and she listened to each of my bridesmaids on the “look” they preferred, especially my sister who doesn’t wear much makeup and wanted minimal makeup but still wanted to look fresh and she did exactly that! Corrie is an expert artist, an absolute professional and uses the highest quality products. I would work with her again in a heartbeat! She was very attentive to the style my mother and I wanted for my brother’s wedding day. My mother and I received many compliments :) My hair and makeup lasted through Ottawa’s summer humidity, a three-course meal, and a night of dancing - definitely a testament to Corrie’s skill and the quality of products she uses.

My experience with Corrie was absolutely amazing. She did hairstyling for me and my entire bridal party for my wedding in Montebello. She was so easy to work with, very flexible, and everyone was extremely happy with their look. She understood right away the look I was going for, and it was even better than what I hoped for on my wedding day. I was so happy and felt amazing. She was also very accommodating for the trial, travelling to my house at a time that worked best in my schedule. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding hairstylist in the Ottawa region. I already had a makeup artist booked when I found Corrie, but I have also seen her makeup looks and would book her in a heartbeat for that as well. 10/10.

Corrie & Janessa were amazing! Corrie did my bridal hair and makeup and I have never felt so beautiful! All 80 of our wedding guests could not get over how beautiful everyone looked. It was 35+ with humidity and we all looked fabulous all day and night! Corrie’s professionalism and communication takes away all your worries. Corrie & Janessa had us laughing and falling asleep when in their chairs! I’m very grateful for them and would recommend their services to everyone.

Absolutely thrilled with my haircut!

Parastoo is so knowledgeable about all the elements that go into hair cutting and styling and it truly shows! Amazingly welcoming immediately as I walked in the door for the first time, and was so kind as we went over what I wanted to do with my hair - I felt very at ease with her almost immediately, she just exudes warmth and experience. My hair was too damaged from previous box dyeing to do anything other than let it grow out, so Parastoo gave me a really phenomenal short cut to get rid of a lot of the damaged lengths - while my original intention was to grow it out past my shoulders again, the cut I received is so cute I'm torn between my original plan and keeping this cut, it was so well done and shaped for my face perfectly! I have never liked myself with short hair until now so this was a truly amazing experience, and a very reasonable price also. I look forward to returning to Hair N Mirror, and I'd recommend Parastoo to anyone!

I have been going to Henny exclusively for over 2 years now so this is long overdue! Henny is so talented at her craft and knowledgeable about hair. Within the time that I’ve seen her, I have gone from brunette to balayage to platinum blonde and now honey blonde with highlights. She is so easy to talk to, and she strives to make sure that you always leave the salon happy with the end result. Henny has truly helped me to achieve all of my hair goals and made me feel confident about my hair. I’d highly recommend her to anyone!

Henny is an absolute hair goddess. A little more than a year ago my hair reached its breaking point during a bleach session at another salon and I lost so much hair. Henny evened out my patchy house-dye job, gave me gorgeous extensions, and has allowed me to regain the confidence that fell out with my hair. She planned every step of it with me and made sure I was okay with the goals set. I’ve had these extensions for almost a year now and they’ve been through it and have still maintained the shine and silkiness from the first day. So incredibly grateful for Henny and amazing services provided.

I got ash brown balayage highlights done with Henny last week and couldn't be happier! I had a super overgrown balayage and wanted to get it refreshed finally before some upcoming work events. She takes the time to do a consultation and understand what you want before starting the service, and she was just the sweetest the entire time! From the moment I contacted Joel,, he was kind and helpful and responsive. Coming from the USA 🇺🇸 for a wedding in Canada 🇨🇦 and when I was also a part of the wedding I definitely was worrried and in need of finding someone to style my hair. Joel does amazing work! After trying many different salons in the city and being unhappy with my hair for years, I came in with with a botched colour and hair that was not in the best condition, so it certainly was not an easy task for them to light my hair while preserving its integrity. They did an extensive consultation to figure out exactly what I wanted, and gave me their professional recommendations. I walked out with my dream colour and my hair felt as healthy as can be. My cut and blowout was also perfection. They are so meticulous and checked on my hair every few minutes to ensure everything was progressing well. Thank you both, and your entire team- all of you are so awesome, from your expertise to they way you care for your clients- I can’t wait to come back! Hands down the best salon in the city. I could not recommend Joseph Head Hair Color enough. From the moment you contact them for the appointment until you leave, the service is exceptional. Lena on the phone was super friendly and made me excited for my appointment. At the salon, my hair needed a major color fix and Joseph managed to pull it off exceptionally. Jen did an amazing blowdry and Liz was very welcoming as I had entered the salon. They explain the process along the way which made me feel safe and comforted unlike other salons that just do what they like. The prices are extremely reasonable too for amazing quality service and products. Would totally recommend and support this local salon.

Went here for the first time yesterday and wow, the reviews did not disappoint, I had an amazing experience! The customer service here is the best I’ve had at a hair salon in Toronto. Lena put in a lot of effort and time to discuss how to get my hair as close to the inspo pics as possible without damaging it. My hair looks so much healthier now. You can tell the whole team has a lot of experience with colouring + styling and they answered all my questions with a friendly attitude. I will definitely be coming back.

I've been a regular with Wissam for a year now and have never left disappointed. I've had balayage colour, cut, toner, oil treatment, blowout, and style done. Wissam is extremely knowledgeable and has been excellent at suggesting adjustments based on what my hair needs or what would suit me best. I have average thickness hair but lots of it. He knows how to work it to make me feel luxurious!

Samantha and Lisa did my, my mom and 4 bridesmaids hair and make-up on my wedding day. They were extremely professional, taking the time to listen to what each person wanted (most wanted a more natural look) and executing it beautifully. Their prices were fair, and we were able to use the beautiful loft-style space. Samantha was flexible and didn't mind if we brought some snacks and drinks, making the experience fun and relaxing. Both Samantha and Lisa were very talented and patient, Samantha even expertly covered up a bruise I had on my arm! Overall, I recommend L'Une for your wedding hair and make-up needs.

I have known Lisa Sim for years- she is by far one of the best makeup artists in the Montreal area and her line of products are great. She works hard to understand the needs of her clients and caters directly to them as opposed to forcing her style or ideas onto them. She is also super creative and is happy to explore new looks with you if that is what you are looking for. Most importantly (for me) she is knowledgeable about ingredients and basic biology and carefully considers the quality of the products she uses or sells. Recommend fully!
