Sara photographed our wedding in August 2025 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. She was wonderful to work with, and captured our event and the architecture of the venue beautifully. Several of our guests commented that it was fascinating to watch Sara work, capturing candid moments at just the right time. The perspective of her photos as a documentary photographer make it seem like our photos were taken by a guest in the middle of the action, and the results are beautiful. We hired Michal as our wedding photographer and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. From our first phone call to our subsequent meetings, Michal was warm, professional, and very responsive. He asked many questions to understand what exactly we'd like and we relied very heavily on his expertise. On the actual wedding day, Michal was great at directing all the different shots and was very patient through all the chaos (as you can expect from a wedding!). He and Sam seemed to genuinely enjoy shooting weddings and we felt so comfortable in their care. We got the photos back within a week, which was much earlier than his timeline of 2-4 weeks and every shot was beautiful. The colours and lines were clean and bright and framed really well. Michal clearly knows how to shoot weddings! We're so happy that we chose Michal and highly recommend him.

I would give Michal 10 stars if I could - absolute best wedding photographer in the business! We reached out to tons of photographers but when Michal emailed us back, his warmth, genuineness and passion for what he does stood out among all of them. Throughout the entirety of us working with him, he was punctual, attentive and quick to reply. On our wedding day he guided us through photos and used his knowledge and amazing skills to produce beautiful beautiful photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives (which he returned in only 10 days!) Michal was extremely professional from the beginning. He took an interest in what type of wedding we wanted to have, what our backgrounds were, and what style we were looking for. We had several meetings leading up to the wedding where we discussed style, shots we would like, and other creative ideas. A week prior to the wedding, we had a call where we agreed on a schedule that he would follow. Of course, the day never goes exactly to schedule. We found that Michal delivered on everything he said he would and was flexible to any changes that happened during the day. We also added a second shooter as our wedding had 205 guests. Overall, very professional and we are satisfied with the finished result.

Michal is an absolutely amazing wedding photographer and person! Highly recommend him. He was so organized and professional while also being very warm and funny. The photographers at Winter Lotus might actually be magical. I mean seriously Harry Potter magical.... Our engagement photo shoot was really fun and produced some amazingly professional photos. The real magic was in the wedding photos... As the groom, I became slightly more intoxicated than I should have, and was thus a less than ideal subject for photography. Kenny and Ping were patient, professional, and had an amazing eye for a great photo. They worked with me in my state and were able to pull off a series of wedding photos for which I will be eternally grateful. We booked our engagement shoot and I told Zoe I was hoping for a Delaney Childs/ NYC vibe but in Calgary (tough ask I know) and she absolutely killed it. I am generally super uncomfortable in front of the camera but she put us totally at ease and had the most amazing ideas and poses, she even saw a couple with a perfect car for the vibe and asked if we could use it she went above and beyond! We booked Zoë to capture couples photos for us while we were visiting Banff, and it turned into the most special photoshoot I could have imagined. She gave us fun poses and prompts, and made us feel super comfy in front of the camera. We received sneak peeks within like 2 hours of our session, and holy buckets did she exceed our expectations. We did a marriage license signing photoshoot with Zoe in December 2022. Our friends and families were all present. It was -40 degrees outside where the best photos were taken. Zoe was professional, accommodating with our requests, and directing us and our family. She was fun and made great suggestions all night. She uses the venue and isn’t afraid to create a scene from nothing. My husband was camera shy, but she made us both comfortable, and we laughed throughout the entire evening.
Our sneak peaks were delivered 24 hours after the event and were a HUGE PRO to using her (I am a very impatient person). Our photos received so many compliments from all friends and family. We were NOT EASY clients. We wanted specific family and group shots, and had an outfit change in between. Zoe was kind, patient and worth every penny. Her poor hands were frozen by the end of the night but she never complained and smiled through the entire evening. Thank you for capturing such life changing moments for us! Two weddings in Toronto that I particularly loved were shot by Tony. After I expressed how much I liked his work, I asked Tony, “Can I show you some photos I don’t like?” Tony said, “Sure! It’s important for us to know what you like and what you don’t like!” Then I asked, “Can I show you yours?” 🤣🤣🤣Tony has such a great personality—he immediately said, “Of course!” The other AGI team members laughed so hard at that moment hahaha.

During the meeting, I mentioned that there was one wedding video by AGI that I really loved. After hearing this, Fred said, “The couple at that wedding gave us a lot of creative freedom. For creators, that’s actually something really special and fulfilling.” The moment I heard that, I was genuinely touched. I’ve always been easily moved by the “passion” shining through in others—especially when someone is deeply enthusiastic about what they do. Maybe it’s also because I’ve never felt that way about my own work :)

On the wedding day, the photographers and videographers were extremely, extremely passionate and professional (so passionate that at one point, the groom wasn’t allowed to join in just to get me the perfect shot 🤣).

Even though I’m not great at posing, they gave me very professional guidance and helped me complete the shoot naturally. The results turned out amazing.

I told them I love photos with light and shadow effects, and they took every opportunity to capture those moments for me. Every scene was absolutely breathtaking.

What’s more, the emotional support throughout the wedding was incredible. They made me believe I was the prettiest girl in the world on my wedding day.

Another moment that really moved me was during the banquet. The photographers and videographers were eating, but the moment they saw me coming downstairs after changing clothes, they immediately stood up and started shooting again (I hope they eventually got to enjoy their meal 🤣).

While taking photos at the bar area, Tony used his hands to block the reflection on the mirror with his clothes just to get the right lighting. He was so focused on getting the perfect shot that he even tucked his camera between his legs. I was really touched and asked, “Is it okay to put the camera like that?” Then Elsa quietly shouted, “That’s my camera! 😭” It was absolutely hilarious (Elsa mentioned she loves watching comedy shows, and this moment was pure comedy gold 😂).

Although our video isn’t ready yet, I still want to give a shoutout to our videographers in advance—I have full confidence in them. Vincent really took the time to get to know us. He watched the videos we posted on social media and complimented them (key point 👀). Even though he has witnessed countless weddings, Vincent told us he was moved to tears during our vows. We asked him whose vows he liked more, and he said he loved both. I joked that it was like asking someone to choose between their mom and dad. Then, about ten minutes later, while we were shooting another scene, Vincent casually said, “On second thought, mom is better.” At first, we didn’t get it, but once we realized what he meant, we burst out laughing.

We wanted to share our incredible experience having Ashley take our fall family photos. This was the absolute best experience ever! We took our engagement photos with Myriam and she could not have been kinder. We told her we were a bit camera shy and wanted to bring props and she was supportive and open to everything.
