I was a second shooter at a wedding recently where Tatianna was the wedding planner, and she was truly incredible to work with. As a wedding photographer, I really appreciate when a planner is not only organized but also genuinely helpful throughout the day. Tatianna coordinated a huge round of family photos seamlessly (which is no small feat!) and was amazing at cueing up speeches and keeping the order of events flowing smoothly. She was calm, professional, and always one step ahead. Her presence made the day run so much better for everyone — the couple, the vendors, and the guests. If you're looking for a planner who knows how to keep things moving while staying kind and collected, I can’t recommend her enough.

Although I hired Ashley for a day of coordinator / month of she reached out periodically throughout the year to check in to see how we were doing. Loved that, showed she cared. Lia is amazing! She helped us execute the wedding of our dreams and took on the theme we wanted and made it happen. She kept track of all the details we didn't even know we needed to keep track of. She walked us through the structure of a wedding and personalized it for what we wanted. She was kind and courteous to guests and helped us rehearse beforehand. She kept every speech and photo session on track and on time to ensure we got to enjoy our wedding. She coordinated with our vendors so we didn't have to closer to the date of our wedding. She was great with the little touches that helped to make our night memorable and special and even made us a plate of food to make sure we were well fed during photo sessions so we got to taste our own appetizers and have special moments with each other during a very busy night which wouldn’t have happened without her. We are so thankful for her and highly recommend her.

Lia has been integral to my wedding day!!!! She had many meetings with me prior to my wedding and even more closer to the date (it was extremely helpful). I didn’t have to worry about a thing! She had everything planned out for me. Not only did she coordinate all the vendors and ensure we were on schedule, her energy and words of encouragement were priceless. She kept reminding us to take in the moment and be present - I appreciated this a lot 💕 The evening ran so smoothly and she was there at the drop of a hat if something needed to be addressed so that me and my husband could enjoy the day/ evening! I cannot fully express here how important of a role she played and I highly recommend her - the best money spent on my wedding! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shellie at Vesta Weddings. I had my wedding in August 2024, and I am SO grateful I found Shellie. She went above and beyond for us in every respect. My husband and I repeatedly said she was a lifesaver. She kept us on track with timelines and to-do items and helped us consider logistical issues we hadn’t even thought of. Beyond that, she was our ally and advocate when it came to issues with our venue and other vendors.

Her prices were extremely reasonable, in fact probably a steal considering how much extra work she put in. She is the rare but perfect combination of being highly detailed oriented and capable of taking charge of any situation or group of people but also easy going and friendly to chat with and spend time with.

She supplied our floral arrangements and we received so many on how elegant and captivating the floral arrangements were. It’s taken a couple weeks to gather all of our thoughts and come down from the excitement of our wedding. We contacted Melanie and a few other wedding planners in Montreal 15 months prior to the wedding day ( July 5, 2019). All the planners responded quickly but Melanie’s response was heartfelt, interested, and sincere. Her first question wasn’t, “whats the budget?” rather “how did you meet?” Her initial sincerity never faded - from day one to one week ago, Melanie has continued to be our most important support with all things wedding related.
My husband and I live in New York City and always felt that all aspects were being handled properly from afar. Melanie is budget conscious and was a never ending resource for picking the venue, florist, photographer, hair and makeup, DJ, live band, etc… The list goes on and on.
She always had a plan B for unforeseen circumstances and her elegant style and creativity made the planning process fun. We have the best memories and photos to look back on and Melanie is such a huge part of all of it. We're unbelievably pleased with how everything turned out!

Melanie helped us coordinate our wedding this summer, and our experience was not the greatest.

Melanie is very skilled at a specific type of wedding. The moment you want something different than what she is used to, conflict arises. She is easily flustered and will push back a lot if your vision conflicts with hers. The meetings we had prior to the wedding were well organized but extremely frustrating. She constantly disagreed with our suggestions and swayed us away from what we'd originally wanted, even when it came to the simplest things. We wanted a shorter dinner and a longer dance party, which became an issue. We were trying to avoid assigned seating to ensure our wedding was less formal, that was out of the question for Melanie. Everything felt complicated; we had to convince her to agree with our vision every single time we spoke. Not the experience you dream of when planning a wedding.

The day of the wedding was also a letdown. While she is very energetic and organized, these qualities didn't transpire on the wedding day. The venue did look beautiful, Melanie and her team executed well on that front (though keep in mind my husband and I selected each vendor, curated the color palette, the flower selection, decor, etc). The problems arose from the start, when we arrived at the venue and were locked out, stranded outside in our wedding attire, even though she had planned our arrival and we were right on time. When we were finally let in, her staff didn't introduce themselves to us, barely acknowledging our presence, and Melanie's stress was palpable. When came time to walk down the aisle, Melanie got panicked and was very abrupt with us and our wedding party because one of our older relatives was "taking too long to walk down the aisle". She stressed us all out before an really important milestone. A similar situation arose when we were about to get introduced as a couple, and were left stranded in a hot room for over 25 minutes, waiting for her team to figure out the music. We ended up being introduced to the wrong song, which messed up the whole first portion of the dance party and dinner. This had all been scheduled, rehearsed, written down and was her responsibility.

Not once during the wedding did she come check on us, and she was nowhere to be found when our DJ lost access to the wifi and could not play anything besides the same 10 songs on repeat. As the person responsible for coordinating with our vendors and ensuring the wedding went down flawlessly, this was her responsibility, yet she was not around. I had to run around the venue to figure out the wifi. On that note, she was also abrupt and impatient with our other vendors, which in our opinion is unacceptable.

Melanie and her team did a great job of cleaning up the venue, ensuring our gifts and cards were safe and returning props and furniture to our suppliers. But for the price of a wedding planner, we expected more than a decent cleanup. We expected someone who kept her cool during stressful situations, someone who made us feel heard and who worked hard to make this special day feel unique to us. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. I rarely write reviews but I thought our experience could benefit others in their search for a wedding planner

Lux Weddings and Events did the decor for my sister’s wedding and honestly, it was beautiful. Everything was set up perfectly and looked even better than we expected. The vibe was exactly right and it really brought the whole day together. She did an amazing job.

As my husband and I set out to plan our wedding in Banff, we knew it would come with some challenges and nuances since we are not locals to the area and have never planned an international wedding. That’s when we decided to call in the experts at LFW, and we had the pleasure of working with the one and only Lynn Fletcher herself. It’s hard to really put into words how great of an experience it was working with Lynn and LFW. Probably the best way to convey the experience was a “feeling of safety”; a feeling of being taken under someone’s wing, knowing your best intentions are being looked out for.

In the year leading up to our wedding, Lynn took the time and care to understand who we were as people, and, more importantly, as a couple. Each meeting felt like a casual conversation about what we had in mind, and when we struggled to fill in the details Lynn was there to take us the rest of the way. She took our design and transformed it into something we never thought possible. She provided truly expert insight on things we knew (and still know) nothing about. We appreciated the level of attention to detail her professional lens brought to the process. It was like working with your best friend who has thrown events you only dream of attending. We put our trust in her…and we are so glad we did.

She was our protector on our wedding day. She carved out little moments throughout the day to check in on us, and made sure that we didn’t get wrapped up in all the stress that usually comes with weddings, but instead made sure we could truly enjoy it. One thing she did that I truly loved was revealing the reception to us alone while our guests were enjoying a happy hour in another room. All three of our faces (mine, my husband and Lynn’s) lit up with joy and excitement as we reflected on what a years worth of planning brought us.

Through our relationship in planning, we built trust with each other. We knew that things would turn out exactly as they should because Lynn was on top of it. Reflecting on the amazing day, one thing was immediate from both Travis and I; that we felt so taken care of on our day…and that made it even more special.
