Went to Michael hill and had the smoothest experience. Maureen was our sales person and you could see sales is her passion and she was pressuring you to buy something you didn’t want. She observed what I was looking for and suggested pieces based on my liking. She has by far been the best sales person I’ve met. So humble, kind and welcoming. I would I highly recommend her. Thank you Maureen for such a wonderful first time experience at Michael Hill.

My partner and I have had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience purchasing an engagement ring from this store. From the very beginning, the service was unwelcoming and inappropriate. When my partner—a woman—visited the store to buy a ring for her same-sex partner, the sales associate made her feel deeply uncomfortable. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company’s values.

The payment process was also unnecessarily complicated and stressful. The store does not accept credit cards, and unless you’re paying in cash (which we were unsure was even an option), you’re required to sign up for a Flexiti financing card. Despite being a born-and-raised-Canadian, my partner was accused of not being Canadian because she has a U.S. cell number, and therefore would not qualify for the Flexiti card—an absurd accusation, and a frustrating hurdle.

We were then encouraged to use the Michael Hill store card instead, with assurances that paying in-store each month would be easy. That could not have been further from the truth. Each time we went in to make a payment, the staff were unsure of the process and often treated us with indifference or rudeness, as if their lack of knowledge of the payment process was somehow our fault.

Overall, this experience has been stressful, disappointing, and completely at odds with what should have been a joyful purchase. We will never return to Michael Hill and strongly caution others to consider their customer service practices before shopping here.

My partner and I recently visited this location in market mall and had an incredible expirience! The kind lady, Maureen, was so patient and knowledgable when it came to answering all of our questions as well as giving suggestions or further information with regards to the rings we may be interested in. We felt welcomed and and cared for our entire visit and left with lots of helpful information. It was very obvious to us that Maureen is so passionate about what she does in helping her custumers find exactly what they love and feel most confident in. Thank you Maureen!

Went into Micheal Hill to get my rings cleaned and was treated very warmly by everyone. I worked with Monita (I’m sorry if I spelt it wrong) and she was lovely to work with! Went in for a cleaning and she was knowledgeable about the rings and dug deeper to check on care for the rings and if we could get them sent away for a deeper cleaning. Waiting for the rings to be cleaned she was friendly, made great conversation and made sure I enjoyed the process (even though I was just waiting). I recommend them to everyone I see as I’ve never had a bad experience!

The experience with Lisa was very good ,She introduced us with Flexiti option and we were their to buy 1thing but due to her guidance we ended up buying 8items
