Wedding Vendors in Calgary

Booked through #Stay Calgary for 7 days. We had no Wifi or tv. Had PlayStation Games with no console and a wii console with no games. They said they would drop off a few games, but that never happened. Bathtub was plugged. Couldn’t open back French doors. House was not very clean. Felt I needed to wash utensils and dishes prior to use. Candy wrappers and fur balls behind couch along with game pieces. Half of the plugs never worked and light switch covers had no screws. Couch had seen better days. It was broken on one section or missing springs also covered in pet hair. In the kitchen, the oven light never worked and only the bottom element worked. Also the over the range, fan didn’t work. In the kitchen, they have laminate floor with a lot of burn holes which was partly covered with an area rug that had a large, wet sticky stain in front of the fridge. The plastic patio chairs on the back deck were all cracked and brittle. Roof on the front deck was rotten and leaked. Hot tub was dirty and didn’t look like it was clean from previous tenants. The only air conditioning was in the kitchen window. Cooled kitchen but no where else.
Upon arrival it was very difficult to talk with anyone about the issues. Only issue that got taken care of was the cleaning of the hot tub. I do not recommend staying at this place.

very nice place for a vacation! the house is small, but it can absolutely fit 6 adults! you will also have an outdoor hot tub, a playground, a big beautiful yard and a barbecue area at your disposal

It is slightly more expensive than other places but the quality here is basically guaranteed. I love that Hakeem is not afraid to tell you what looks good and what looks less than good. He takes the time to get to know you and genuinely wants you to leave looking both sharp and ready to woo them ladies.

Basically everything about the suits are customizable, and they also do custom shoes and accessories. The place is clean and very well designed.

It’s difficult to put into words how amazing Fari Hara is.

I evaluated several tailors in Calgary trying to find the right one for my wedding. I eventually decided to go with Fari Hara and was blown away by the attention to detail, service quality and variety of garments/customizations to choose from.

What made Hakeem stand out from every other tailor I consulted? Not only did he have amazing personal taste and fashion sense, but he was willing to listen.

I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s something that I feel can often be overlooked. I frequently dealt with highly opinionated tailors with a “I know best” or “I’ll decide for you” mentality. It’s fashion after all..

Hakeem was the opposite - he took the time to understand my vision while thoughtfully sharing insights from his many years of experience, imparted his own personal opinion and helped guide me to the right decision. He answered every question of mine, helped me understand every aspect of my suit and never once made me feel rushed or a burden.

As someone with borderline ocd tendencies, I never thought I would feel confident enough to fully entrust someone to dress me for my big day.

I personally know the owner of the Bridal Expo and she spoke very highly of Fari Hara. Now I understand why. Hakeem definitely sets the standard for Bespoke tailoring in Calgary!

Also, their suit garment bags come with a small window on the front so you can see the suit without having to unzip the bag. A really nice touch, haha

Got few bedsheet sets (king and queen) from Fashion iQ and I’m really impressed. The fabric feels soft and breathable, and the quality is definitely noticeable. They fit perfectly on the mattresses and stay in place, which is something I usually struggle with.

The staff were kind and took the time to walk me through the different options without rushing. Overall, a great experience — I’d recommend checking them out if you’re looking for good quality items for men and women as well.

I cannot recommend Feast Studio & Press more! They helped with creating the perfect wedding invitation and Jessica was so easy to work with, she was very responsive and gave great suggestions when it came to creating the invite! Letter pressing our invitations gave them such a beautiful and unique touch!!

Working with Feast has been a dream come true. We employed them to aid us in developing a brand identity which translated into illustrations and designs we can use for practical purposes for goods made in house, but also custom merch we now sell. Family run and in business for 40 years meant we had a lot of story and sentimental imagery, but also not focused and concise which made doing anything related to packaging, a total nightmare. Jessica and Emma's patience and capacity to understand who we are and how we want to be portrayed was fine tuned and very much appreciated. The level of detail and care they maintained through to the end is impressive and will certainly have me recommending them for years to come. Tasks that used to be painful, are now one of the best parts of the job. Thank you Feast!!

Jessica was so easy to communicate with, she answered all of my questions quickly and made any changes when needed! Our letterpress wedding suite invitations turned out BEAUTIFUL! They are more perfect than I ever imagined. I did a lot of research comparing prices, and they offer the best price for high quality work by far! I had a timeline to meet, and Jessica made sure our suite was delivered to us by expected date. They did an excellent job and I definitely recommend them to all!

We use Feast Studio + Press for our annual client Christmas cards at FRANK Architecture. Jessica is so wonderful to work with and we always end up with a product we are thrilled to mail out to our 100+ clients. Our cards are stunning and we always get compliments. I would highly recommend Feast to anyone! The quality is real.

If I could give Sean 10 stars, I absolutely would! I came to him with a pretty good idea of what I wanted for my 10-year anniversary ring, and he was so helpful and patient in guiding me through the final decisions. The whole process was fun, stress-free, and faster than I expected.

When I saw the finished ring, I honestly couldn’t believe how perfect it was—the craftsmanship is incredible and every detail is flawless. On top of that, Sean is just the nicest person to work with—so easygoing and genuine that I could have sat and chatted with him for hours.

I’m beyond thrilled with my ring and so grateful for the experience. Highly, highly recommend!

I came to Sean with an idea for a custom ring, and the short story is he executed it perfectly. I was able to bring in my own center stone and he sourced two perfectly complementary side stones. I was picky with the execution of the design because of the bezel setting and the symmetry I envisioned, but he needed no nitpicking — he is a total perfectionist with the skills to back it up. He’s also just a very pleasant human to chat with, and I hope to return someday for more custom projects.

My wedding ring and bands are black rhodium plated, and the plating was definitely fading (and to boot one of the bands needed to be resoldered onto the main ring). Sean was through, and responsive both by email and phone, and he patiently explained the process of plating and used his camera and magnifying equipment to show me what he would be doing with the ring. The “after” pictures don’t do the work justice; the ring is shiny, and soldered band is seamless, and the black rhodium plating is beautiful just like the first day I received the ring. Thank you, Sean, for your attention to this work; it is a great relief to know there’s a craftsperson who can do this black rhodium in the city!

Wonderful event space! We attended and participated in ATB's Beyond Boundaries Black Fashion Show. The energy, culture, people, and celebration was AMAZING! 👏🏿🎉

Lovely intimate venue for events with excellent acoustics and comfortable seats. The walls have a Brutalist interior design vibe (raw concrete walls and exposed beams) so maybe this is best for an Industrial-style event. The all-gender universal washrooms are clean. There is a mini-bar area right near the entrance (they were serving snacks during the evening we visited). Overall, a cute hangout place for folk music aficionados in Calgary. Highly recommended!

Hosted a show here. Staff were all very nice and accommodating. Venue was very warm feeling, professional looking and intimate. Would highly recommend hosting an event here if you need too!

My fiance and I toured this venue looking for a potential wedding venue. We fell in love as the actual venue is beautiful and seems perfectly suited for a small wedding. Other than the abysmal parking situation, the building itself would've been perfect.

Ishani, the building manager, responded to my initial inquiry and allowed us to tour the building. It was the first venue we had checked out and we were ready to place a deposit immediately because we liked it so much.

This is where the issues started. Ishani requested that we fill out a request form and mentioned that we would have to pay a deposit to secure a date. She asked that I text her for the fastest response. She texted me that she would send the security deposit invoice soon.

A week later, she still hadn't sent anything and I sent a followup text to see if she could send it. Another week and a half passed, and no response. I waited several more days before sending Ishani an email to see if she would respond to that, to which I received an auto-response that she was on vacation.

Two weeks later, she finally responded and we requested to finally pay the deposit on our preferred date. We hadn't been able to book any other wedding vendors, as we needed the date to begin planning everything else.

Ishani emailed back that we would receive a payment link soon. 4 days later, she still hadn't sent it, so I emailed again asking for the deposit link. She said she was going to send it. Another 5 days passed before she even sent the deposit link.

At this point, we had wasted so much time and felt like Ishani wasn't taking our wedding seriously in the slightest, so my fiance and I stopped reaching out and never reserved this venue.

It's a nice building (hence the 2 stars), but booking with Ishani was a nightmare and she did not care about anyone's time except her own. I would absolutely avoid this venue for weddings. Apparently it's not worth the time or effort for this building manager.

Went here during the Calgary fringe festival. Nice venue for its purpose. Parking is never great in this area but found a spot nice and close.

Azad’s one of the best barbers in Calgary hands down. I have curly and thick hair that I even have trouble managing. He effortlessly cuts and styles it. Hes extremely skilled with fades and if you’re lost on what to do with your hair he will guide you through what’s best for you. All the staff seem quite skilled and professional. Going to be coming here regularly.

Good group of guys in a fun and clean environment. By far the best barbers I’ve had in Calgary, especially Zach who always gives the freshest fades. Highly recommend these guys for their quick and reasonably priced service

Been here 5 or 6 times I think from the start of the year. Great guys, energetic atmosphere. Thorough range of service. Fair prices. Deans my guy, but in a pinch Emad’s done me well too. Absolutely worth trying if you haven’t.

I’ve been going to Azad for my cuts and he’s hands down one of the best barbers out there. His fades are always sharp and clean, he’s extremely consistent, and he takes real pride in his work. He’s also very punctual, which I really appreciate—no long waits, just in and out on time with a fresh cut every time. On top of that, his prices are very fair for the quality you get. If you’re looking for a barber who delivers top-notch fades, respects your time, and won’t overcharge, Azad is your guy.

I checked out Fine Line after seeing positive reviews on Google Maps, and wow, I’m so glad I did! I got a haircut with Denny, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been getting the same style for many years, but Denny transformed it by perfectly rounding the back and sides, and I loved it. The vibe at Fine Line is super friendly and welcoming. I totally recommend this place.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Finesse Flowers! From the very beginning, Masha took the time to truly listen to my unique vision and brought it to life perfectly, down to every single flower I requested. She made sure I got exactly what I wanted, going above and beyond to source everything I dreamed of. Throughout the whole process, she was incredibly responsive, sending photos and updates so I always felt involved and reassured.

When the flowers arrived on my wedding day, I was completely blown away. They were absolutely breathtaking, fresh, vibrant, and even more beautiful than I imagined. 100% recommended, what a lovely experience!! After submitting my order, it looks like my note changed a heart symbol into a question mark so I called the shop to see if they were able to change it. They ended up reprinting the note for me and hand-drawing a cute little red heart in the note. They also sent a photo and video of the completed bouquet before it's sent off, which is so appreciated. Normally you don't know what the flowers look like until the recipients get them. The flowers were so beautiful and looked very fresh. Finesse Flower Shop is truly the best and highly recommended! I’m from out of town and was searching for a local florist to send flowers for my best friend’s birthday. Amazing customer service. They were super nice and understanding of me when I was explaining what I wanted in a custom bouquet, and even took the effort to go above and beyond to add chocolates to the bouquet upon my request. Masha was incredibly helpful and caring when preparing sympathy and funeral flower arrangements for a funeral in our family. She was able to source rare calla lilies on a rush notice and created the most beautiful arrangements. Everything was done with so much love and attention to detail. Our family is deeply grateful for the beautiful florals and a pleasant experience during a difficult time.

About 22 years ago, I purchased flowers at this little shop in Calgary for the first time. Even though I’ve lived in BC for 10 years in the years since, if I’m giving flowers to others or myself in Calgary, my first call or visit will always be First Class Flowers Calgary!

It was their orchid and vibrantly coloured flowers that caught my attention then and has continued to this day!

Delivered and other person said they weren’t, they were not delivered and it was a very important day and delivery. Would never recommend.

Tried some of their food at Two Rivers Distillery and it was amazing. We had potatoe skins, chips and onion dip, deep fried pickles and the focaccia bread and it was all amazing!! The portions are on the big size and easy to share. My husband also had the crab cakes and said they were great.

I have used Flavour YYC for a couple different things now, and I couldn't recommend more! The owner Ashley, was extremely accommodating and helpful. The food is definitely flavorful and affordable. Thank you to Ashley and her team for everything. We will be back soon!

Flavour YYC was amazing! We hired them to cater our wedding and couldn’t be happier. They worked within our budget and had tons of great menu openings to choose from. The owner, Ashley, is super kind and went above and beyond to make my wedding day special. She was super easy to contact and answered all my questions quickly.

I would highly recommend their mini grilled cheese as an appetizer for your event! They were so tasty and were definitely a crowd favourite. Chef Judy and her staff also made my wedding cake, which made planning simpler.

I had brought in some photos for inspiration, and they were able to put together some flowers for me right then and there to help me narrow down what I wanted and the look I was going for. Our wedding was on a Sunday, on which they are closed, but Georgina was so accommodating and opened the shop for us in the morning so we could pick up our flowers before the ceremony. Carissa was amazing to work with! So thorough in the planning process for our wedding florals. I didn't know much going into this planning process, but Carissa walked me through step by step with how she chooses the right florals for your vision. She is super personable, and really gets to know you, your likes/dislikes, etc. We got everything we wanted and more. She is very reasonable when you're working with a budget and she gives suggestions to help you get what you envision. She did an amazing job for our arch piece, large florals for the barrels, boutineer, and my wedding party flowers! See for yourself! :) Would definitely recommend her, and would use her florals again!

We booked Carissa for our April wedding and I couldn't recommend her enough. I initially reached out to Flora to get a quote for greenery for our guest and head table as I was planning on using Callia for our bouquets. Carissa offered to give me a quote for our bouquets as well. Once I received that quote, I saw her pricing was great and it seemed way easier since she would deliver directly to us on the wedding day. Carissa really went above and beyond with her customer service and made our wedding day run smoothly by delivering the bouquets to us on the morning. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but I wasn't super specific and what Carissa created was just beautiful! It exceeded all of my expectations. She was great at communicating, had wonderful customer service and overall did a great job. Highly recommend!

Carissa is beyond amazing to deal with. She is doing the florals for my July 2023 wedding and I have to say her customer service is above and beyond what I received from other studios in the quoting stage even. I was able to give her the colors I wanted for my wedding and she came back with a pallette of flowers that might work in those colors. I really appreciated this as pinterest can only take you so far and as an accountant, not a florist, I have zero idea what kinds of flowers are out there. Can't wait to see what she creates for the big day - will update after the wedding :)

We enjoyed the first Saturday brunch they newly offer. It was incredible. We initially stopped in right at 10:30 am to check the place out and book a Sunday brunch and ended up staying. The manager gave us kindly a tour and was very friendly. The variety and quality of the food was fantastic.
Our server Christine was attentive and just wonderful. We will be spreading the word and return.

My husband and I just came here tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my god. Our server Olivia was such a sweetie and just amazing! We came here for the prime rib night and it was delicious. Vegetables were cooked, the prime rib was seasoned nicely and the dessert was excellent! Not too sweet at all. Beautiful area as well. I'd highly recommend coming here for prime rib night. We'll be coming here again soon for brunch!

10/10 wedding venue. Had the pleasure of DJing an awesome last night. Super easy to load in and set up for both ceremony and reception. Great acoustics. Elegant modern interior. Warm lighting. Oh and the food, maybe the best I’ve ever had. For sure the best beef and mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. Dessert was equally unreal. The staff were friendly and on point with everything. Will be looking forward to the next one!

We worked with Flower Artistry for our wedding florals and WOW. Lyn was such a joy to work with, and brought my vision to life better than I could have ever dreamed! From the initial design, to the logistics and execution I was blown away and so thrilled that we decided to work with Lyn.

WOW. Flower Artistry did the florals for our wedding and truly knocked it out of the park. They're experts at both floral design and execution. Our wedding planner recommended them and I'm so glad! Everything was stunning and elevated our wedding to the vision (and even more!) that we had. They even helped us with floral donations at the end of the wedding which was important to me. If you're considering booking them, don't think twice - they'll make your wedding dreams come true.

I ordered from this destination via UberEats and received a small card, a slightly-stained generic Walmart gift bag which was stapled closed, and an 11 dollar Ferraro Rocher collection that you can buy at any retailer.

For reference, what I ordered was a cute box of chocolates (view screenshot attached). As you can clearly see, it is not the same item whatsoever nor anything close to what was advertised.

Now, I’m not stating this place is not reliable for weddings or events, and I realize that ordering a gift via UberEats is likely not going to be the prettiest or cutest gift ever. However, for the price of 35 dollars (50 if you include delivery fees) I’d expect something of close to equal value for what I paid for. This is like drop-shipping.

My review is based on the service that was advertised versus what I received, and what I “received” was a scam.

We couldn’t be happier with the floral arrangements at our wedding! From the moment we saw the bouquets (loved the peonies in my bouquet), boutonnières, and head table piece - everything was perfect. The flowers were fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully arranged. So many of our guests complimented the arrangements, and they really complimented our style and the atmosphere.

Natasha has true vision when it comes down to her design. I have recently ordered flowers for a birthday. The arrangement was so beautiful and smelled amazing. Thank you for the wonderful experience, will order again.

After researching multiple florists, we hired Natalia for our wedding day. All of the other florists, except Natalia, told us our vision wasn't doable in our budget. She helped provide us with recommendations and solutions to ensure our vision came to life.

On the big day, she was timely and helped set everything up exactly how we had envisioned it. We placed additional bouquet orders (i.e. a birthday bouquet and a bridal bouquet) on short notice, and each turned out extremely beautiful. The quality of the flowers, and the design of each piece was second-to-none.

We highly recommend Flower Aura by Natasha - she was collaborative, responsive, personable, and her prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of her work. We couldn't be happier in our decision to hire her. Thanks again!
