I've been ordering cakes from JJ Bakers for a while now, and I can't recommend her enough! My friends and I always choose her for our special occasions and we are never disappointed. The cakes always look beautiful! The service is exceptional and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality you get. Whether it's for a birthday or any celebration, JJ Bakers is our go-to for any cake needs!

I can’t recommend Jaicy enough! She created the most beautiful and absolutely delicious cake for my daughter’s first birthday — just like she did for my baby shower. The flavour (chocolate with pistachio and kunafa filling) was truly out of this world — rich, unique, and perfectly balanced. Every guest kept raving about how amazing it tasted. Jeremy, Amy and the entire JM Photography team were absolutely amazing! When I first started planning my wedding I didn’t realize how important a photographer was, but after experiencing everything go wrong the day of the wedding (except marrying my best friend!), I realized that the only thing that I had planned that went right and ultimately saved the day was that we had the absolute best photographers! Jeremy and Amy brought a smile to my face (after a morning of tears) during our morning bride/bridal party getting ready shoot, and ultimately helped my husband and I let go of everything that was going wrong during the day so we could enjoy our beautiful and momentous occasion! We had a fantastic time taking photos all around the Calgary Zoo with Jeremy and Amy, and I can honestly say that I look at them as family! We hired Jeremy for our wedding photos this past weekend, and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.

We found Jeremy online, and after our initial call to get to know him, we knew we were going to hire him. He was so friendly, so organized, and so helpful, he immediately made me feel less stressed and answered so many of my questions about the general flow of a wedding event.

Once we booked him for our event, he booked another call closer to go over the family photos we wanted done. We wanted a lot of family photos, and Jeremy stayed on the call with us for OVER 3 HOURS to help us organize, discuss, and plan how to get it done. I have never worked with someone so generous with their time and knowledge, it made us both feel so appreciative.

On the big day, Jeremy was a rock star. He was perfectly on time, super bubbly, and had so many creative photo ideas. He was great at posing us so we didn't feel awkward, and showed us samples of the photos as he was taking them to make sure they were what we were looking for.

He chatted with our guests, got so many candids, and was perfectly out of the way for all of the big moments. He also regularly checked in to see how I was doing/ask if I had any photos I wanted taken, which was so lovely.

We loved having Jeremy be a part of our special day, and we are so excited to see the final photos. If you are looking of a wedding or event photographer, Jeremy is the best of the best. Hire him!

I have had the pleasure with dealing with JMK florist SE., specifically Hannah! I live in Ontario and wanted to send some flowers to our sister who lives in Calgary from our mom. When you order online you never know what you are getting. This Christmas design blew me away. The customer service was A-1! Hannah sent me texts with pictures of the arrangement to see if I wanted to make any adjustments, then sent another saying the arrangement had been delivered! Never have I ever had anyone follow up like that. Amazing. Thank you again for taking such good care of us.

We ordered a birthday bouquet for a relative in Alberta and we live in Ontario. We received several text messages with pictures of the bouquet before delivery to see if we wanted any changes. The relative has told us that 2 weeks later the flowers are still beautiful.

Ordering was easy and they have a great selection. The best part was receiving a text message showing my order prior to it being sent out. Thank you Hannah, you did an amazing job on the bouquet! Will definitely be ordering from here in the future.

Another fabulous bouquet of flowers provided by JMK florist! Highly recommend! This is the 2nd JMK flower arrangement my friends have spoiled me with in the past 6 months, and both have been amazing! Actually, make that 3 – another was sent to my Mom, and hers was equally as beautiful and long lasting. Hannah and the team are wonderful, and delivery was very smooth – calling in advance to ensure we were home. Jodi's photography skills and interpersonal skills both exceeded my expectations.

I needed a headshot on short notice and was stressed while preparing for a presentation but I am glad I came across Jodi, who was friendly and able to get me to calm down enough to capture several great photos.

I had my birthday party (21 guests) at Joey Eau Claire location this weekend and Ashley was an amazing server!! She was friendly, bubbly and funny and handled the large group well. She made an extra effort to have the kitchen put together a beautiful birthday dessert (see photo) for me which I have never had anything like that before. I felt very special and was so glad I chose this restaurant for my party. The food was delicious as well. I requested for the lobster spaghetti sauce on the side (photo attached) which was kindly accommodated for me. The guests all enjoyed the dining experience as well. Sarah our sever was polite, engaging, and had a lovely personality. She made the dining experience wonderful.

The food was fresh, delicious, and decent portions. The dessert, which we normally skip, was also quite tasty.

Certainly worth a visit if you're in Calgary!

The service was excellent, even though the restaurant was quite busy. The staff were very welcoming, and both our server and the floor manager consistently checked on us and apologized for the delay in our food. However, I didn't mind the wait, as it was not too long. The prices and portion sizes of the dishes were reasonable. I highly recommend trying the Miso Garlic Mushroom and the Scallop & Prawn Ceviche as starters; they were exquisite.

We came here because of the great reviews and ended up having the best dinner of our Canadian trip — and one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time.
The food was absolutely outstanding, and the service (thank you, Robyn!) was truly first-class.

I had the loveliest time trying on dresses with Joyce for my event! Her selection was great, and she helped me feel beautiful, confident and excited for the night out!

I came to this boutique to consign my bag, since my husband had bought me the same model in a different color. Unfortunately, the experience was not welcoming. I understand there was an event happening soon, but the atmosphere felt very unfriendly from the start.

When the owner checked my bag and receipt, she immediately commented, “I’ve never seen a paper receipt like this,” in a way that implied my bag might not be authentic. I found that quite offensive, especially since in the end she acknowledged the bag was authentic. I know what I buy and would never purchase a fake.

My advice to the owner: Please be more mindful in how you speak to and treat customers. Respect and professionalism go a long way, especially for a business that’s just starting out.

A charming spot with beautiful consignment pieces and an excellent selection of dresses and accessories available for rental to suit any event that requires chic or glam. Joyce, the owner, is personable, friendly, and professional, offering helpful styling tips and good energy. This makes for a fun environment to take time in trying on outfits and finding the one that will work best for you.

Jane is nothing short of amazing. From the moment we met her, she put us at ease. She is relaxed yet professional, friendly and organized. She made the entire process simple and straight forward, during a time when the most basic task can seem overwhelming. It’s clear Jane cares deeply for the couples she works with and creates a unique ceremony for each wedding. She provides great examples for a ceremony and advice on how to personalize it. She also just has a way of making the nerves melt away when standing at the alter so that you can be wholly present in the moment (even when the unexpected train makes a cameo during the ceremony!).

From the moment we sat down with Jane she was an absolute delight to work with. She made the ceremony a priority every time we met to chat, and truly showed an interest in our lives for the short period of time we spent together. We went to see ABBA Mania on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. The cast and the entire crew are amazing, the singing was excellent and it was fun throughout. I definitely want to visit again!,,

If you are already planning to go out for dinner, for a slightly more cost per person at a normal restaurant you can enjoy a 3hr show. The value is more than worth it. Great food, awesome energy from the staff, it is an amazing experience. Definitely go and treat yourself, you won't regret it

I'm not going to say that this is first class food or Broadway level musicals; but, it's pretty damn good entertainment and value for money you spend.

Unlike the other dinner theater, it's table service and considering they are serving 400 people all at once, each course comes out fresh, tasty, hot and with an in character server adding some sass and flare.

I've enjoyed every time I have gone, so enjoy the experience.

First time ever going, was very fun! The staff are amazing, and extremely talented. They even made this little sign for my parent’s anniversary. Highly recommend experiencing this!

We were at Top Gunn 2 a Supersonic Spoof, and I laughed so much. The voices in the music were so powerful and pitch perfect! Especially the song Alone by Captain Poppy and Captain Loon the band Heart would have been proud! Our server Bonnie Bolt was engaging, friendly, excellent and actually made the show even better! Even hearing the other characters around the theatre, they were incredible. Whatever they are being paid, it isn't enough! Thanks Jubilations for delivering such an excellent experience!

A decent and quite graceful place for organizing any kind of events. Lights are good and so does the seating arrangements. You can get the good vibes upon entrance which is equally beautiful and does take a lot of attention. Stage is well centred and being a photographer serves as a perfect place for taking nice shots. Quite spacious and would be great for booking for any event. Great venue and kudos team Jubilee Banquet and Event Center.

We hosted a fundraiser Iftaar at Jubilee recently and it was an incredible experience! The owners made sure to help make it as smooth an experience as possible, worked with all our needs, and beat our expectations with the decor - the guests continue to extend their kind remarks and are excited to attend the event again! The owners were consistently available and working with us, along with recommending how to better execute the event, and we couldn't be happier to have hosted the event with them. We will definitely be back here for future events :)

We had our henna night here back in April, and it was absolutely magical! The owners were so easy to work with, they did everything as we asked, they worked with us on our budget and went above and beyond everything we asked. The food was the highlight of the night. There was not a single person that didn't praise the food! It was amazing, we ended up ordering dinner from the caterer multiple times since our event. Thank you to the amazing team at Jubilee for making our event amazing.

We had our party on December 10. The hall is absolutely stunning. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Amazing appetizers with beautiful presentation. Main course was also very delicious. Talked with the owner briefly and she was so welcoming. This is an amazing place to do an event. 100 percent recommend. Decorations were really creative and lovely. Best banquet hall in town. I booked Julia to do my makeup for family photos after being impressed by her work on Instagram. I wanted a natural look that still felt polished and enhanced, and Julia delivered beautifully. She was professional, approachable, and very open to feedback. I felt comfortable asking for small adjustments, and she consistently checked in to ensure I was happy with the progress.

Julia also explained that makeup often needs to be a bit bolder than usual to photograph well—she was absolutely right! When we received our sneak-peek photos, I couldn’t have been happier. My makeup looked like me, just elevated in the best way.

The planning of our wedding was complicated- we planned the wedding in only a few months from London UK, during the covid pandemic. The wedding was held at my grandparents' cabin in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. The cabin is rustic, hard-to-find, and has literally no reception. In short, there was so much uncertainty and so many ways things could have gone wrong! But Julianne was by our side every step of the way; we never doubted she had everything under control. Julianne maintained a positive outlook while also being realistic with us about possible challenges related to the pandemic, our remote and rustic venue, and our budget.

Julianne, her team, and the vendors she selected executed an event that felt truly magical. When we arrived at the cabin on our wedding day and we saw how Julianne had brought the vision to life, I was truly speechless (and then burst into happy tears!). Julianne had brought to life dreams I didn't even know I had! Throughout the day, Julianne and her team worked behind the scenes to ensure that every single moment went smoothly; we never had to worry about a thing.

In summary, I give Julianne Young my highest recommendation. She is truly exceptional at her job- her skills in communication, organisation, and creativity are top notch. But on top of that, Julianne is just a truly lovable human who you can't help but want to spend time with!

We rented the hall for a class reunion. It was a perfect summer evening and a special event we'll remember for a long time. We had about 50 people and there was plenty of room in the hall (capacity is 100 I believe). There is a beautiful view of the surrounding land and ranches as far as the eye can see. The hall itself has a rustic feel, with almost 100 years of history, it was very special to have the event there. The hall has all kinds of amenities for hosting a party as well- plenty of tables and chairs, a griddle and a screen for presentations. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots/pans/dishes needed for a party. There was plenty of parking as well. The bathrooms were excellent and well kept and clean. The booking manager was friendly, quick and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to have an event here again.

This venue is a real gem! We had our wedding at Jumping Pound Community Hall, and we were so impressed with everything!
Bev was incredibly accommodating, kind and great to deal with! It was really wonderful being able to have the venue all weekend, from Friday to Sunday! We were able to set up and decorate all day friday, have the wedding on Saturday, then have all day Sunday to clean up . It made everything run so much smoother and way less stress! It was perfect.
The venue is very intimate, cozy, and beautiful inside. The scenery outside was gorgeous with the mountains in the background. It was awesome to have a venue for the wedding that was very private with no one around us. Being able to have a designated smoke pit in the back with an ash tray was great and super popular.
There were lots of chairs and tables we could use. They supplied Water jugs, cleaning supplies, and bathroom necessities. The mobile bar was cute and worked perfect. Lots of room for parking. We were just so impressed with everything and couldn't have asked for a better location.

We had our wedding here a few months ago, and I can’t recommend this lovely little hall enough! The building manager was very easy to work with, and accommodating of our requests. It was the perfect venue for around 100 guests, with a great bar setup, tons of green space for lawn games, and beautiful views of the foothills/ mountains!

We are so glad we chose Jumping Pound Ranch for our wedding venue! From the beginning Karli went above and beyond and was an excellent month of coordinator. She finds the solution to any problem or question that comes up and does it in a personable way that helps reduce any stress you may have. It was the most stunning backdrop for our wedding and guest raved about the views and how peaceful it felt. It is the perfect venue if you want a remote natural feel that is still so close to the city for hotels/wedding vendors. The bridal suite was also an added bonus as a place where the bridal party could just enjoy each others company, do touch ups, and store everything we needed that we didn’t want in the reception tent. We were able to completely personalize our wedding by bringing in any vendors we wanted- most of them were JPR preferred vendors and we are so glad we trusted Karli’s opinion because they were all wonderful! Overall the best experience ever working with JPR and their entire team!

We could not have asked for a more perfect place to get married!!! Karli, Clarence and Abby helped us make the day of our dreams come true and were so easy to work with! This venue has it all- the ability to pick your own vendors, it's close to Calgary, but has the most stunning views with mountains, trees, and flowing water- it was everything we were hoping for our ceremony and reception! In this day and age of forgotten customer service, this gem of a company stands out. I decided last minute to have a project created and not only did they answer each time I called, they called me back, texted when required, sent proofs and did a quick turn-around. They communicated so incredibly well.

Best roll cake in Calgary! Their cake texture was so soft and buttery. The cream was light and not too sweet. Chestnut flavor was nice. Their roll cakes were better than many cake stores I visited. So I couldn’t help ordering another cake—Lychee cheesecake which was rare. With fancy appearance, and good taste also!!! But my first choice is still the roll cake🤪

Delicious cakes! I liked their cakes they are not too sweet, and the fluffy texture. Very pleasant to eat. I’d like to see more tables for people to dine in rather than come and go rushing for take out orders.

The roll cakes are well balanced, not too sweet and very soft chiffon. The freeze dried chocolate ice cream is addicting. The ambiance is cute and the service is good. Would also love to try cake from this place.

I was looking up bakeries in Calgary that had mont blanc chestnut cakes and found this place via a Google search. I was able to make an online order for pick up 3 days in advance.

I'm glad I ordered in advance because when I arrived at 2PM on a Tuesday, some items were sold out. I ordered the assorted roll cake box and chest tarts. Everything was really good and not too sweet as expected from an Asian bakery. My favorite roll cake was surprisingly the chocolate, it was the perfect amount of richness and sweetness.

Highly recommend their roll cakes and would come back.

O.M.G. their roll cakes are 💯 THE best I’ve had! Rich yet light + fluffy + super flavourful + oh so fresh! It’s like my mama whipped that cream up a moment ago just for me! I bought the assorted box on special and I got to pick the flavours I want! My favourites were the strawberry and mango. Oh and those caneles are to die for - crispy caramelized crust and buttery chewy centre😍! Service was excellent too!

Ordered a gluten friendly German chocolate cake. It was delicious, good texture and not too sweet. The prices were very reasonable. I appreciated that they marked the box and the cake gluten free. The staff were also very friendly when I called. It is a mixed bakery, I am celiac and did not have any issues after eating it. Ideally would prefer if they had a completely separate area for baking GF, I think a lot of other celiacs would be willing to try if that was the case. They have some very interesting GF items on their menu I would like to try in the future!

As a vegan baking enthusiast myself, I often struggle to find quality baked goods or cakes in Calgary. Kashew bakery is simply the best, even on a global level! Nothing I've ever had anywhere else comes close to what this bakery makes. I read somewhere that the owner is a German master baker, which explains a lot. You can tell how the ingredients are carefully selected and crafted into a delicacy that anyone - whether vegan, gluten-free, or omnivore, can enjoy. They harmonize and not only provide the right texture but also full flavors, something that can be a challenge when it comes to baking plant-based. My absolute favorite are the Almond Croissants, they're scrumptions and I'm so glad they're sold at all Lina's locations these days.

I had doubts on how a vegan cake would taste knowing through other precious experiences, it was only ...ok. nothing spectacular. Kashew bakery is unlike any vegan bakery I've ever tried - moist, delicious and still dense. Ordered the lemon cake online (a very easy straight forward process) and paid online as well. The lemon taste was super strong but just enough that you do taste it and isn't sour. The cake itself also isn't too sweet (where it feels artificial). Everything was balanced just right.

Visited this spot bc as they are vegan, it is a dairy free whip cream they use. Everything tasted wonderful and just as luxurious. The pricing was VERY reasonable as well.

Located inside Lina's market - go to the dessert pastry counter and ask for the cake pick up. They also have things available in store but not the large cakes. Highly recommend coming here and ordering. Super friendly service as well.

This was actually for the CFM West kiosk. We bought a piece of carrot cake. It was very dry. The icing wasn’t made from cream cheese but rather some sort of fatty whip with a horrible flavouring. Not sure what it was but they were trying to copy of tang of cream cheese. The worst carrot cake I’ve ever eaten.

Incredible gluten free and vegan options! We ordered the gluten free black forest cake and an assortment of tarts, and it was by far the best gluten free and vegan baking we have had. Highly recommend!

If you like it online , buy it now. The inventory moves so quickly. Love the fast shipping and the ease in buying line. Every piece and there have been a few are amazing, quirky and very stylish. People will stop and ask where you bought it. Coming from Alberta, makes me proud to say that I bought in Calgary. Best travelling clothes.

Kate’s clothes are not only incredibly original and unique, they will make you feel so beautiful!
