I've used Rayacom for over 4 years. I also used them for my wedding. The whole team is great! Clear with communication! They never miss and email and respond very quickly. They have a great range of products! I think their pricing is quite competitive! Short turn-around times.They are clear on expectations but have also extended grace when errors are made. Nice little garden. Some flowers look dry probably have suffered from the recent water restrictions in Calgary. The parking lot is small. I liked the benches around the park where you can seat around the flowers. I would totally visit again!

Beautiful serene place nested in the heart of the city. Rocky stones well maintained tracks brings so much joy to walk around. unique Flowers and plants adds to the beautiful park. This park also has lovely views of the downtown calgary skyline

Beautiful to walk through on an early autumn afternoon. Lots of little pathways with stepping stones amongst the trees that feels like a secret garden.

A favourite and quiet spot just south of busy downtown. You can access it from Union Cemetery, and Union Cemetery is accessible from it.

Easily one of the most stunning and peaceful spots to visit in inner city Calgary in the summer time. An absolute must for plant and flower lovers. The space is very scenic and historic, next to a very beautiful and also historic Calgary cemetery. Also convenient being next to the stampede grounds.

Visited the location this time for an outdoor photo shoot.
The photographer was great and had a good eye for creating a story.
We paused the session a couple of times to watch the butterflies, appreciate some beautiful flowers in bloom and sit when we climbed up hill to get a particular (and well worth it) view.
I liked the movable benches located in some areas, the calming sound of water flowing over rocks and the tiny signs describing either the plants or history of different areas in the park.
I stayed behind after the session to enjoy the park a little more and came across some hikers and a couple that looked to be on a date.

Such a great selection, prices, and delightful staff!!! I was amazed of everything there. This store met my expectations and more. It was a big bonus to see I was supporting a local store.

I am not from Calgary so using the map, it was tricky to find Recess. Upon walking on the street, I couldn’t see it until I found the promo poster for the Back to School sale. Just wanted to give that as a heads up for fellow travellers. Will highly recommend it and will return next time I return!

i love this store so much. it is a stationary fanatic’s dream come true, the kind of place that will inspire you to stop procrastinating and start writing like a maniac so you can get some more awesome notebooks, pens etc. they have so many quirky hobby related items, organizational tools, and pens/pencils for all budgets and uses. i love that they have something for every budget, it’s so easy to find a cool pen or some other writing or crafting implement to fall in love with here. I’ve stopped by every time I’ve been in Calgary over the last few years and always left inspired to create.

All the cute stuff are here. Best place to grab any notebook, journal, pen and pencil or even envelopes, cards and stickers!!!

Ended up spending over $50 here it was truly worth it!

It is the worst conference venue I ever attended! Chairs are so hard, toilets don’t flush, 1 paper towel is empty and the one that has paper is located behind a wall and the waste bin is behind the wall! The venue was cold too, most of the participants were wearing sweaters/coats! I will not attend any conference being held there again!

Michael and his team were absolutely amazing! They are so professional and did such an incredible job of capturing our entire day. To top it all off they provided us with such a unique love story video for our reception that we continuously get compliments on from everyone who was in attendance. The edited wedding video was beautifully done and has brought tears of joy every-time we watch it! You will not find a better team in the business and looking back on the memories that they were able to capture will bring us joy for the rest of our lives! Thank you so much Red Finch Studios for being a part of our perfect day.

Michael and Jamie were amazing to work with. The process from start to finish for our wedding videography was super easy and the quality of their video was amazing. Booked a family photoshoot and had the best experience. Once booked, I received an email with a clear breakdown for the day which included outfit guides and prop ideas. On the day of the shoot everything was seamless and Courtney made me and my two children feel so relaxed and calm. We were allowed to be our silly selves and capture real moments which was exactly what I wanted. But the best part was receiving our photo gallery THE VERY NEXT DAY! And I'm INCREDIBLY specific about how I want characters to look....and Courtney ensured every single one of my needs was met time and time again. I called last minute, at 1:00pm Calgary time, from out of the country. My partner had to unexpectedly put his 15 year old dog down that afternoon. Crystal answered the phone - she was so sincerely kind and helpful. She was able to have a bouquet delivered to my partner within a couple of hours. He was so appreciative, and so am I. Received a beautiful bouquet of white peonies and lilies and within 24 hours the peonies were wilted and browning. Called and emailed to get some customer service was painful. A few back and forth emails took days and no direct answers were given. In the end - we’d finally agreed that I’d go in to pick up replacement peonies and when this plan was finally being confirmed - the reply was ‘actually we no longer have peonies, you can have roses or sunflowers’. No thanks. Won’t be going back. Unhelpful staff and inferior product.

I ordered deal of the day, my friend in a nursing home received lavender roses that even the front desk lady said looked like they survived a hurricane. It was disappointing. My friend cleaned up the roses and rearranged them before I saw them so I don’t have a picture. But she showed me the cut stems & I have worked as a florist myself & know they were not fresh. I have ordered from you before and friends were pleased. This friend called your store to complain & was very unpleasant to the sales person. I am sorry about that, but really… do better.

I recently bothered to stop here after driving by 1000 times, I am so happy I did!!!
The roses I bought from here was stunning, bloomed full and looked amazing for so very long. I won't buy roses from anywhere else, from the price to the quality they hit the mark!
I also had the chance to look at their arrangements which were done well (no loose peices, well presented not thrown together) and they also sell a cute selection of house plants, all looked healthy and well maintained.

Len and Linda GREATLY exceeded our expectations. The dining room table was 100% customized. We picked out our wood, chose our dimensions and every step of the way Len and Linda gave suggestions and ideas. It was a super fun process and the quality of the table is unmatched and the price was highly competitive. I would not buy wood furniture anywhere else.

Customizing our perfect furniture pieces was an incredible experience with Len and Linda!! They really brought our vision to life. Len made a walnut mantel for our fireplace and we are just blown away with how gorgeous it is. His workmanship and attention to detail are second to none. Len did a waterfall wrap around the end of the mantel so it looks like a solid beam, and he even asked us to come in so we could hand-pick the boards. The corners are hand hewn. It’s more beautiful than we imagined it would be! We highly recommend Len for any custom pieces you need - you won’t be disappointed!

I've had the pleasure of working with Regan on two recent occasions, and the experience both times was amazing.

Regan did my makeup for my company holiday party. As it was on a weekday, she catered to my needs by coming downtown, which helped make my day run smoothly. Her vision for my makeup worked perfectly with my chosen outfit and I received many compliments throughout the event.

Regan also planned the most adorable makeup lesson for my two daughters and their friend. The ages ranged from 6 - 10. She spent time customizing the lesson for their level, using their favourite singers and actresses to demonstrate how to prep for makeup, what brushes to use for what purpose, what products to apply where, proper technique for application and how to clean and sanitize afterward. To say they LOVED it would be an understatement. They told me that they would give the lesson one million stars and my daughter's friend asked if we could do another one next week.

All that to say, I couldn't recommend Regan more. Her attention to detail and contagious personality make every engagement a joy to be a part of.

Regan was absolutely wonderful at doing my make up for a special occasion. I engaged Regan to do my makeup for a formal dinner and as someone who generally wears very little makeup, I felt completely at ease in Regan's hands. She is so knowledgeable about the products/techniques that she uses, that her passion and enthusiasm for make up encouraged me to become more adventurous with what makeup I wore. I can't recommend her highly enough and her personality was the icing on the cake. She is just the loveliest human!

I had Richard as my instructor and he was amazing! He was super calm, made me feel comfortable, and explained everything clearly. He took time before the test to go over what to expect and answered my questions, which helped me relax a lot. Thanks to him, I passed on my first try and the whole experience felt way less stressful than I imagined!

I had one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences of my life during a road test at Registry Direct with an examiner named Abdull (from the Plates Registry). I went in expecting a professional, fair, and unbiased evaluation of my driving ability. Instead, what I experienced was discrimination, defensiveness, and behavior that no examiner should ever display toward someone paying for a government service.

From the beginning, I could tell Abdull was not focused on my actual driving. Instead of concentrating on safety and performance, he made unnecessary comments about how I “talk too much” and treated me like I didn’t belong here—even though I am a Canadian citizen. At no point should my race, background, or how much I speak have anything to do with whether I can safely operate a vehicle. A road test is supposed to be about driving skills only, yet I felt judged on everything but that.

The situation got worse when I called him out on his behavior. Instead of listening professionally or correcting himself, Abdull became defensive and dismissive. His reaction made me feel even more uncomfortable and confirmed that he wasn’t there to conduct a fair test. It got so bad that I actually asked him to leave my car—something I never imagined would happen during a road exam. That’s how disrespected and unsafe I felt with him sitting in the passenger seat.

What concerned me most, however, was that Abdull asked me to unplug my dash camera before the test even started. This is a huge red flag. A dash camera protects both the driver and the examiner, ensuring there is a record of what happens inside the vehicle. Being told to turn it off removes all accountability and leaves people like me vulnerable to biased or unfair treatment with no proof. If an examiner is doing their job properly, there should be no reason to fear being recorded. Asking for the dash cam to be turned off makes it look like the examiner doesn’t want transparency, which should worry anyone taking a test here.

This experience has left me with zero trust in Registry Direct’s testing process. Road tests should be fair, unbiased, and respectful for everyone, regardless of race, background, or personal traits. Instead, I walked away feeling discriminated against, silenced, and failed without proper justification. People should not have to deal with this kind of treatment, especially when they are paying for a service that could affect their ability to drive, work, and live their daily lives.

Maybe if Registry Direct actually held their examiners accountable—by firing people like Abdull, only employing professional examiners who work directly for their office, and cutting out shady “kickback” arrangements—drivers would finally get the fair tests they deserve. Until that happens, I strongly urge others to think twice before booking a road test here. My advice: take your business somewhere else where you can be sure you’ll be treated fairly, respectfully, and transparentl

I had my road test here yesterday, and my examiner Alan was very professional and calm throughout the process. He explained everything clearly before we started and made me feel comfortable during the test. I really appreciated his patience and the fair way he assessed my driving. I had a very negative experience during my Class 5 road test. The examiner, an Indian woman, screamed at me during the exam, which was extremely unprofessional and made it difficult to focus. I also felt I was treated unfairly and with racial bias as an African person. Her behavior came across as rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory. Everyone deserves to be treated with fairness, patience, and professionalism during such an important test. I strongly urge the licensing authority to review this examiner’s conduct so future candidates do not go through the same experience.”

Seems to be the best run Registry I’ve been to. It’s definitely quite busy, but they coordinate well and it’s got a decent amount of space. Odd spot for it, but aside from the wait time everything was quick and smooth.

I’ve been coming here for 10-15 years, and I’ve never had an issue. Sometimes there’s a bit of a line but you can expect that with any registry. I do like their online wait list and today I was in and out in FIVE minutes to renew my license (on a Friday afternoon!). Super impressed. The staff is always so friendly and so helpful so thank you, keep up the good work.

The lady that served me for my drivers license renewal was fast and also noticed I needed my registration renewed too so both tasks got done. This is THE BEST registry. I consistently get great service here! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. I go out of my way to go here when I need a registry because of the excellent service. I have tried other registries, such as the one in Legacy Township, but after not great experiences, I will never use any other registry besides the Registry @ South Trail Crossing.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the driving examiner named Ahmed . The exam was conducted in a calm and friendly atmosphere. Ahmed was very professional, polite, and patient. Ahmad was awesome! Super polite and professional, and he made a few jokes along the way that really helped me relax. I liked that he never asked me how many times I had done the test before just to make me fail—he only asked at the end as a funny joke after I passed. He made the whole experience way less stressful, and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone taking their test.

Can't say enough good things about this place and specifically Ahmed. I'd been having trouble passing my class 5 road test at other locations and the moment I came here it was a different vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly and my examiner Ahmed was absolutely the best! Despite not passing on my first couple attempts he was always providing tangible advice and really seemed to be invested in helping me achieve this milestone. In the end I was able to get it done and can't be more thankful for Ahmed and North Hill registry

Went to the registry for a road test. Had the privilege of having Ken as my instructor. He was extremely kind, and very knowledgeable. After the exam he took a few minutes to talk to me about the test and areas I could improve etc. couldn’t of asked for a better Instructor, Ken was a big part of the reason I was able to pass. Highly recommend!

Review for Seton Registry Road Test (11:30 AM today):

My husband took his road test this morning and had a very negative experience with the examiner. Instead of providing clear and calm directions, the examiner was aggressive throughout the test — yelling to “move” at a stop sign without stopping, insisting on going through a yield without slowing down, and even forcing steering directions along the way. He also instructed my husband to park at the beginning of an intersection with very limited space, which was unsafe.

At one point, he even told my husband to “go faster” in a parking lot when he was already driving under the speed limit. This type of behavior is not only unprofessional but also makes it impossible for the candidate to focus on safe driving practices.

We left feeling that the exam was less about evaluating driving ability and more about intimidation and unnecessary failure. If the purpose of the test is to fairly evaluate driving skills, the examiner’s approach completely undermined that.

We truly hope the registry reviews this behavior. Candidates pay good money for these tests, and they deserve a fair, respectful, and professional assessment — not hostility and confusion.

One star is being generous at this point. I don’t know why, but whenever it comes to renewing my health card or Alberta ID, I’ve had to come in at least three times just to have it delivered. The customer service staff are so rude and unhelpful. Honestly, what’s the point of having customer service if all they do is tell you to come back again, and yet the ID still never arrives by mail after multiple renewal attempts?

I work two jobs—one full-time that ends at 5:30 (and the registry closes at 6:00), plus Saturdays—so it’s a huge hassle for me to keep coming back. Every time, I either have to leave work early, which cuts into my salary, or take time off completely, only to keep requesting the same thing that never gets resolved. I hope you do something about it lol

Had my child take a road test here. I watched her location through Life 360. She was failed for “going too slow.” Not once did she go under the speed limit, maintained a good speed for each posted speed limit. I watched every speed she went of every second she drove.

Main complaint from the instructor, David - “she merged too slow going on Stoney.” Checked her driving history… she merged at 94/mph (speed limit 100.) Get your facts straight.

Might I add that David was condescending the whole time. Was nowhere near friendly and created an environment that was incredibly stressful for my child.

Absolutely ridiculous. Go anywhere else.

This is the best registry I have ever been to! Multiple visits now and 3 things are always true: they are efficient and speedy with great systems, the staff are always pleasant, and the team here works to find SOLUTIONS for your visit. It’s worth the drive even if you don’t live close.

I’ve been a customer at Reid’s since August 2023, and from the very first visit, I was blown away. I walked in just to get my Lamy pen checked & mind you, I didn’t even buy it from them and the manager not only took it in but had it repaired and working perfectly within a couple of days. That level of care and service completely won me over.

A year later, I still go back every other week. Whether it’s pens, stationery, or stickers, I always find something, and more importantly, I always leave feeling welcomed. The staff are kind, accommodating, and non-judgmental. They create a space that’s genuinely comfortable, even for introverts like me who don’t always know what to ask for. They answer questions when needed but never make you feel pressured or out of place.

Plus, they even welcome my dog in the store! 🐶

Great store with knowledgeable staff and quaint atmosphere, but I have a major issue with the fine line and other pens they sell. I've now purchased 3 pens in the last month from Reid's with all drying up and becoming unusable after about 2-3 pages of moleskine sketches. I feel like I'm being fleeced for decent pens when I sometimes only get one day of use out of them. I'll be focusing on online ordering of my supplies from now on.

Let me take you through an experience...

I was born and raised Calgarian, I've seen ads for Reid's plastered EVERYWHERE around the city for many many many years. One of my favorite pleasures in life is a great, no, a magnificent pen. That pen that just writes perfectly for your style of hand-writing... you know the one I'm talking about. The guilty part of that pleasure was finding one left behind by someone (just laying there on the table) when I was in school. I could never find the right pen myself for some reason.

I've just graduated, as a celebration I came down to Reid's to get a proper pen to sign my first contract. They were kind, caring, understanding, knowledgeable, they understood the task at hand, and they found me my first perfect fountain pen.

Got advice and a converter so I can give my grandmas fountain pens she immigrated with a second life! The lady who helped me was very knowledgeable and the selection of both fountain pen products and more conventional stationery were great!

Communication and turnaround time were excellent. Before committing, REIGN provided thorough communication over email, and once I started the process, he kept me updated and involved at every stage.

In terms of value, these are premium suits and not inexpensive—but I can confidently say they are worth every penny. The craftsmanship, fit, and overall experience make the investment more than worthwhile.

Reign Suit Co was one of the places I reached out to when exploring options of have a tux made for my reception. Greg was great to deal with - very prompt in responding, pleasant to interact with, flexible with scheduling, seems honest with suggestions/advice, and delivered on schedule!

After months of struggle trying to find the right wedding suit I stumbled upon Reign. Right away the communication was top tier, I never once felt pushed to the side or ignored. After setting up a fitting consultation, which takes place wherever is most convenient to you, I was introduced to Sultan, and I have to say, what an absolute pleasure it was. Extremely professional from start to finish. The expertise and care that Sultan put into finding the customizations for a perfect suit was outstanding. He made the process smooth, stress free and a joy to be apart of. The care that was put into the fit of the suit and the advice given was the assistance I was searching for, a matter of fact, the skill that was put into this resulted in a magnificent suit that needed no alterations when it arrived. I could not recommend a service more than I can with Reign and Sultan.

Great experience with Reign suits! Greg had great communication throughout the fitting and ordering process. I got exactly what I was looking for. A suit fitted to my body style, comfortable quality materials and I was able to add custom touches to make the suit my own. The price is very reasonable given the quality and customer service. Can't recommend Reign suits enough and I will for sure be ordering another suit through them.

The service was seamless. Sultan comes to your place with binders of samples and goes over the whole process with you. It takes about an hour and was pretty intimidating but he (and my wife) were super patient. There is also a final fitting when the suit is delivered.

Suits from the mall are less expensive but they feel like they're going to fall off you any second. They don't even have inner linings anymore.

DEUs (suits provided by the army) are very sturdy and very heavy. They weigh you down and restrict your movement. Great in the fall and winter honestly, terrible in the summer.

I've never spent this much on clothes before but damn, this is nice. You can see the work that went in but it's so light that you end up forgetting that you're wearing it. The Reign suit is the best of both worlds.

My experience renting a dress was incredible! Karolina is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. From the private fitting to returning the dress working with Karolina was a pleasure. With her expert help I chose a dress to rent for a gala event and the gown was spectacular! The garmet was impeccably cared for and I felt beautiful and confident wearing it. I would definitely use this service again, and I recommend rent a dress without hesitation.

I couldn't recommend rent a dress more highly! I've been telling everyone I know! I rented a dress here for my brother's wedding and not only was the dress perfect but the experience was seamless and enjoyable from beginning to end! Karolina was incredible to work with and made it so special. She puts so much detail into caring for the garments, communicating with clients, and helping them find the right gown. I also had an emergency related to the dress that was completely my fault and she went above and beyond to get me ready and in the right dress ASAP and definitely saved the day! Rent a Dress is such a cool concept! They have a great selection beautiful dresses for all occasions and great customer service. It’s super convenient to order the dresses online or if I’m unsure of the fit I’ll go into their cute pop-up shop to try on before renting. So glad Calgary finally has something like this! Will definitely be renting again.

I came across this place while on a trip to Calgary, and I will for sure be back! The dresses are absolutely gorgeous and well taken care of. I had such an amazing time at the fitting and was provided with all the help I needed. This is such an amazing option for any type of event you can think of, and is affordable! The owners are professional, friendly and went above and beyond to help me find the perfect dress! I can’t wait to visit again for my future events!

The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. So nice to have a kitchen in the suite. Location is perfect to get around downtown. Street parking is available if you don't want to valet, free on Sunday's so it's reasonable on the weekends. The breakfast buffet was extensive for a complimentary hotel breakfast. They even had chicken congee! We'd definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay, close to the action of downtown. Reasonable rates, we got a king size suite with sitting area and kitchenette. The room was beautiful and had a great view of the pride parade.

The complimentary breakfast was huge and amazing, with different items each day. By far the best I have ever seen at a hotel.

The restaurant itself has mediocre food at best. The Rueben was great but the nachos and bison burger were disappointing. But the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The balcony is great to have a few drinks and watch the nightlife on the streets below.

Nearby are some amazing places to eat. Orchard is next door and is a great date night spot. 2 blocks away is Noble Pizza, which I cannot overstate how amazing it is. Highly recommend both places.

We will definitely be returning! It is a great hotel and worth every penny.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home and were always available to assist with any requests we had. The room service was efficient and the housekeeping team did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and tidy throughout our stay.

One standout aspect of my visit was the kitchen manager, SABI. She ensure that every guest was well taken care of. Not only did she manage the food service seamlessly, but she also took the time to help us give tea, which was a lovely personal touch. Her professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction truly made a positive impression.

This was a great hotel. I had room 3327 which was very spacious and included a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove. Beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. The gym was excellent too, quite large with really good equipment. My reservation included the breakfast which was excellent as well. A great selection of breakfast items, including healthy selections if you wanted.

This was a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff! Breakfast was superb, the rooms clean, charming and comfortable. The location was very good. Central to a lot of downtown things. A bit of a hike to the convention center (about a 15 minute pedestrian friendly walk) but doable. My only constructive feedback would be that though I adored the two shower heads in my handicap friendly room it very easily turned the entire bathroom into a dangerously wet slippy slide. Also one night the hotel was filled to capacity and DJ Fest was happening outside. It was louder than staying in Time Square (literally) with a bunch of gunning engines and loud techno music for much of the night. Totally not the hotel's fault! However with fully glass walls facing the street it would have been nice if the hotel had extra sound machines on hand to offer (even when hotel is booked to capacity). Overall very positive!

Words can’t express how thankful we are for Bree and her team. She’s not only incredibly organized and professional, but she truly cares about her couples. Every detail was handled with care, and she made sure our wedding day was completely stress-free and unforgettable.

Bree supported us every step of the way and always had a solution ready—especially during my mini wedding crises! I’ll genuinely miss our group chats and her calming presence.

Bree is an absolutely incredible coordinator!! During our engagement, she was always there to bounce ideas off of or to calm any nerves and anxiety about decor, timeline, etc. On the day of, she ensured myself, my partner, nor any of my friends or family had to lift a finger in the set up, tear down, or execution or anything!!! Her whole team was so so lovely, and I can confidently say Bree was easily the best money I spent on our whole wedding. She is truly a master at what she does, and you can sense her passion for it just in how she communicates so clearly with her clients, sets boundaries in place with family members who many need it, and executes your vision perfectly.
