Had some friends pick up some pastries for a get together. The cannolis were delicious and not soggy. The shells were still crispy even a day later. The pistachio Sfogliatella were excellent. The layers were crispy on the outside but tender inside. A real treat and definitely recommended. Will be back.

If you’re looking for the real taste of Italy in Montreal, you absolutely have to visit Pasticceria Alati-Caserta in Little Italy. After living in Montreal for a decade and trying countless bakeries, I can honestly say this is the gold standard for Italian pastries in the city.

The cannoli here are out of this world-crispy shells, filled to order with the creamiest ricotta filling (not too sweet, just right). I’ve brought friends from Italy, and even they were impressed! I also recommend trying their sfogliatelle and marzipan cookies-everything is made fresh and you can truly taste the quality. If you’re celebrating something special, their custom cakes are beautifully made and always a hit.

The shop itself is charming and feels like stepping into a little corner of Naples. It can get busy, especially on weekends or around holidays, so be prepared for a bit of a line. But honestly, it’s worth the wait. The staff is friendly and will happily help you choose if you’re not sure what to try.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian desserts or wants to experience a true Montreal classic.

The Granita al Limone was super refreshing, rich in taste, not overly sugary, and served in a very generous portion. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the shop offers so many options, birthday cakes, wedding cakes, a variety of cannolis (pistachio, Nutella, Oreo, and of course the classic), as well as a wide selection of cookies. It’s a truly authentic Italian pastry shop with a warm atmosphere and delicious treats.

First time trying out this little gem , it was my wife birthday and this bakery was recommanded. It was delicious , we had the Almond cake and a few small cakes. Definitely worth it!

I ordered a vanilla cake for a birthday. I clearly specified the one with 35% cream on the outside AND on the inside (as the birthday girl requested and which we have ordered in the past). When I picked up the cake, I specifically asked if it was the 35% cream cake, which the lady who served me assured me it was. To our GREAT disappointment, the vanilla cake was made with yellow custard inside instead of the real 35% cream. And the outside was just regular generic icing, not the 35% cream icing. VERY disappointing to say the least. We ate the cake, but EVERYONE left the awful fake icing. The cake cost $48 ! UPDATE: I spoke with the owner the next day. She agreed it was a mistake on their part and has offered to give a rebate on our next order as an apology.

One of the most delicious ice cream cake that I ever had. Also, there are many varieties of pastry that I should try each time I visit Montreal.

I walked into the store around 3:40pm on September 27th to buy a cake and at first everything was fine, I chose a 45$ cake, but before anything was packed and finalized, I politely asked if I could switch cakes. Instead of simply making the change, the worker gave me horrible attitude, acting as if it was a huge inconvenience for me to change my mind. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong, like I wasn't allowed to want another cake. Everything in the store is high quality especially their cakes, but the worker was completely unprofessional even though it should've been a simple purchase.

Under new management and had a grand opening over the weekend with a beautiful new sign, layout, magnificent pastries and more!
So far, we've only tried this carrot cake from them but it was the best carrot cake we've ever had and it's not even close.
New owner Laura and her team are super nice and very welcoming. We wish them all the best and we can't wait to go back for more delicious treats

Spent $130 dollars yesterday as had guests coming over. Panini were stale and old - I’ve been a few times since the new owners and they never have any bread when I go- and that’s in the late morning early afternoon- how does that happen at a bakery?? They’re cannoli have always been their best product but yesterday even those where inedible. Stale and soft when the shell should be crunchy- and the filling was horrible. Won’t be visiting again. Kept hearing how great it was with the new owner but sorry my experience has not been good at all.

Patisserie Vimont is hands down my favourite bakery, my go-to for cakes, pizzas, coldcuts, bread, pastries and catering. They really surpassed my expectations. 🩷 Laura and her team are absolutely incredible, not only they are professional and welcoming but their products are fresh, high quality and delicious. Patisserie Vimont really made my vision come to life.

Change can be good, but in this case it’s abysmal. Over the past few months the quality and availability of the products has steadily gone downhill. There’s barely any charcuterie to choose from. It’s reached the point where I had to literally throw away the baked goods I bought that day because they were inedible. The paninis and white pizza were flat and had a strong taste of yeast.

I tried really hard to like the changes that were made with the new owners. Unfortunately until they address their quality control issues I will no longer be a frequent customer. I don’t seem to be the only one that came to this conclusion, just compare the line up of clients at the other local bakery down the street.

Came in to buy a red velvet cake with hopes and Dreams the staff promising a fresh cake of the day not knowing going home later that night the cake was expired smell like rotten milk and they denied it! Horrible service, rude staff! You can tell from the picture how not fresh not to mention the SMELL COMING OUT OF THE CAKE ROTTEN EGGS OR FROZEN FOR DAYS OR WEEKS!!!

We’ve been going to Pâtisserie Dolci Più for years, and it’s the one place we keep coming back to without a second thought. Everything is always fresh the savoury pastries are perfect and the sweets are perfectly and not overly sweet, you can actually taste the flavours and not sugar. I’m also not a fan of whipped cream but their cream they use for cakes is perfectly light and yummy, even their salads and sandwiches are so well seasoned and full of flavor. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel easy and pleasant. All of our birthday cakes come from here, and they’ve never let us down always beautiful and delicious. I also love how their displays keep changing with new seasonal items; it’s exciting to walk in and see something different every time. It’s rare to find a bakery that stays this consistent yet still manages to surprise you, and that’s why Dolci Più will always be our go-to spot.

The positive: Dolci Piu’s cakes are honestly excellent. Very light and lovely base and buttercream, with great variety and beautifully decorated. The pastries and cookies are also great. I can’t speak for their prêt a manger selection nor their cupcakes, I’ve never tried them.

The negative: The woman I assume to be the owner (or at the very least a long time manager; she is also the one who usually takes phonecalls) - my god is this woman poorly trained in customer service. Every time I have had the misfortune of speaking with her, she has been rude, short, condescending, and overall left a bad taste in my mouth, which is unfortunate because the rest of her staff is lovely. When dining in, she will actively turn her back or ignore you despite being the only person behind the counter, to the point where we have simply upped and left.

I do love this bakery, genuinely, and I always recommend it to others. That being said, I can only hope this woman stops interacting with her clientele entirely, because she sours the whole experience.

Absolutely in love with the cake for my daughter’s baptism. It was gorgeous and insanely delicious. We received so many compliments from everyone. Best service over the phone and in person! 10/10. Please do yourself a favor and order all your cakes and sweets from here!

For me, it's all about the cannolis. They are hands down some of the best I've ever had—perfectly crisp shells filled with creamy, flavorful ricotta filling that’s just the right amount of sweet. But while the cannolis are my usual choice, I’ve also tried their cakes, pastries, and coffee, and everything is just top-notch. Each dessert is made with high-quality ingredients and a level of craftsmanship that sets Dolci Piu apart from the rest. Their cakes, whether for a special occasion or just a casual treat, are rich, beautifully designed, and absolutely delicious.

Beyond the sweets, they also serve sandwiches, making it a great place to stop by for a quick bite. The balance of flavors in their sandwiches, along with fresh ingredients, makes them just as good as their pastries.

Huge delicious pastries and so affordable at $3.25 apiece. Decor is pretty. The only bad thing is the parking situation, not the easiest to get in and out of.

It's a nice place with both cakes and coffees being quite good. The prices are reasonable and there's a washroom available. The atmosphere is great, not crowded, and the decorations are nice. Although I couldn't find a place to charge my phone, I think I'll come here again.

The lady who serves doesn't know the word customer service. Her attitude is terrible. It's a shame because the product they sell is good. But if the staff doesn't know how to serve customers, it's better for them not to work in the field. She has a rude and arrogant attitude.

While the pastries are budget-friendly, I wasn’t too impressed with some of the sweets I tried. They were dry and lacked flavor.

As for cleanliness, it could definitely be better.

What a surprise! I’ve passed in front of this bakery 100’s of times over the last few years—and yesterday was the day that the stars aligned! Happy to have given this place a shot and having tried their flagship hot-dog in a (croissant) blanket (no picture, apologies), their tomato and burrata sandwich (top rated, bread is less fluffy than other places, but it’s likely explained by the fact that it’s leavened bread) and more. They also serve homemade beverages like an iced tea. Staff is very nice albeit a tad shy—and that’s fine too!

Great location, a quieter area with plenty of street parking too (bonus gas station right there).

All the treats are amazing, the best Almond Croissants in the city too, delicious sandwiches as well.

To top it off, very friendly staff and they are great baristas too. Got some cortados and they tasted great. Will for sure be coming back when I'm in Montreal always.

I've been ordering cakes from Patisserie Lawrence for several years, and I'm consistently impressed by the creativity and deliciousness of his creations. Whether it's a stunning doughnut tower or one of the many flavorful cake options, he never fails to deliver. I'm especially grateful for the times he's come through on short notice—thank you for always going above and beyond.

Really tasty croissant sandwiches, and nice comfortable booth and table seating. However, the entremet and macaron left much to be desired. These two pastries both tasted like they’ve been refrigerated over night and had a slight fridge taste. The entremet also had a really gelatinous blanket over the top that looked like it used to be a mirror glaze but was left in the fridge too long. As a pastry place, this was fairly disappointing. Their actual croissants are good though! Well laminated and super buttery.

Ordered a cake for my sisters baby shower as a present for her and it’s all everyone spoke about at the party! My favourite flavour is the lemon blueberry but we ordered the strawberry shortcake which was really good too! It’s light and airy (we’re not big fans of sweet American buttercream).

We ordered our wedding cake from Lien Phat. We originally chose them because we wanted to have a different flavor for our wedding cake. So we ended up choosing the pandan with lemon cream. We got a three-tiered cake that was all white with some real flowers.

The cake was everything we imagined. It was beautiful and elegant. The fact that the full cake was real and cost similar or even less to some other bakeries which would only give you one real layer in the presentation cake was amazing.

I was in communication with Karissa for our cake. She was very punctual in her replies and was so kind to help make our dream come true. We requested that she added a cake topper of my dog that we got on the cake and they Incorporated it perfectly.

Thank you Lien Phat for making our dream cake a reality! I would highly recommend them if anyone else needs a cake for their events.

I love this family-owned bakery. I had the pleasure to try many of their creations at various birthday, baby shower, and wedding celebrations over the years. The cake texture is light and it is not too sweet. I ordered their bestselling pandan flavour cake with a custom marble fondant design for my graduation party. I also got to try their lemon-raspberry flavour, litchi-rose flavour, and chestnut flavour cakes at a friend's bridal shower. My husband and I loved the chestnut flavour cake so much that we ended up having it for our wedding cake. We had a two-tier wedding cake with buttercream frosting, cake painting, and edible gold leaves - simple, elegant, breathtaking, and of course delicious! Thank you Lien Phat!

Delicious light sweetness, the tart was so tasty & u can feel the taste of each different layer separately and was sooo fresh and high quality ingredients. The mille feuille also light & we liked the flavour of the coffee.

Didn’t like the place, no even small table to set , we ate it while we were standing & that’s a disadvantage because the prices are not normal & little bit overpriced due to the portion. ( for that reasons the 4 stars)

I ordered 1000 feuille for as a birthday cake. The size was 4-5 people which I found quite small but enough for two people (since we celebrated together).
The cake tasted fresh, really good. Personally, we were not fan of the coffee taste of one of the layers as we personally don’t like coffee.
We wish the website would give options to choose all vanilla and add a birthday inscription (which it didn’t and I had to request the day of and pay 5$)

A true gem in Montreal – authentic, delicious, and unforgettable!

We had such an incredible experience at Pâtisserie Samadi & Fils on Gouin. This place is a treasure for anyone who loves traditional Middle Eastern sweets. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with the rich aroma of fresh pastries, nuts, and warm hospitality.

We tried a wide variety of items — baklava, nammoura, maamoul, pistachio rolls, and of course, the legendary kaak with knafeh — and everything was absolutely perfect. The kaak with knafeh was especially unforgettable: warm, soft bread filled with gooey, sweet cheese knafeh and just the right touch of syrup. It’s the kind of dessert that makes you stop mid-bite and smile. A must-try!

And let’s talk about the Arabic coffee — smooth, rich, and perfectly spiced with cardamom. It was the perfect pairing for the sweets and honestly one of the best coffees we’ve had in the city.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and they took the time to explain the different types of pastries. The store was clean, beautifully organized, and had an amazing selection of ready-made gift boxes — perfect for any occasion.

Whether you’re stopping in for a quick treat or looking to bring home authentic Arabic desserts, Pâtisserie Samadi – Gouin is the place to go. We came from the South Shore and it was more than worth the drive. Can’t wait to return again soon!

Overall it’s good, but I was disappointed several times.
On the first day of Ramadan, I bought Osmanlyeh and discovered that it was burned during cooking and they tried to hide it with an extra layer of vermicelli (Ch3iriyeh).
In the past, I made some improvement comments but the workers did not show any interest or value for customer feedback.

Their sweets are delicious and a variety of variety, reasonable prices. I put 4 stars because the cream they have, I don't think it's 100% fresh. This is my experience. I hope to improve the quality of the cream

Our family has been going to Pâtisserie T.M. for a few years for their pastry and lunch. We have never been disappointed. The owners take good care of us and the food is always of quality and delicious. The owners respect their craft and we respect their dedication to the food that they prepare and how they genuinely care that their clients are well taken care of. It is a lovely neighbourhood gem that is not to be missed.

Pâtisserie T.M. on Rue Ontario East had been on our radar for a while, and we finally made our way over to try it for my girlfriend’s birthday, joined by her parents. From the outside, the place is easy to miss—nothing flashy or attention-grabbing—but what it lacks in exterior presence, it more than makes up for once you step inside.

The interior is calm and inviting, with soft touches that give the space a warm and thoughtful feel. There are only a few tables for four, so we were glad to have made a reservation. The menu features a mix of daily specials and a handful of regular offerings, all made in limited quantities. When they run out, they run out—so if there’s something you’re hoping to try, it’s best to arrive early.

We each had a full meal and shared several desserts, and everything we tried delivered exceptional flavour. The Japanese pastries had that light, clean sweetness and airy texture that’s hard to find elsewhere. Each plate felt carefully considered, with no weak spots. We were extremely pleased with the quality and balance in every dish—nothing overdone or cloying.

The owners work with quiet intensity and don’t pause for a second when customers are waiting. It’s rare to find that level of commitment on display so visibly. The value is excellent, especially given the level of quality, and it’s clear they care deeply about every detail.

We left feeling lucky to have finally tried it, and even luckier to have experienced it on such a special occasion. We’ll certainly be back.

First time ever trying Japanese desserts and onion soup—and I’m officially obsessed! Everything was insanely delicious. The desserts had just the right amount of sweetness and such fun, unique flavors. Plus, everything tasted super fresh and was priced reasonably!

The place itself is super cozy, and the staff? So kind and welcoming! It’s a small café, but people were literally lining up to get in—no wonder there were no seats left. so yeah, definitely go early if you want to grab a spot!

We had the chance to go back two days in a row before leaving the Montreal region. Now living more than 5 hours away, if I had to choose only one place to go back to in the region, I would choose that place without hesitation. My girlfriend and I went there a few times, and each time everything was perfect, the service and the food. Everything is fresh and made with love. The owners are really kind and generous. We're really going to miss this place, in hopes we have a chance to pass by again. Thank you for all the good food and the effort you put into making such perfect delicacies.

My girlfriend took me back for my birthday to get a "birthday pie" that tasted absolutely perfect. I couldn't have hope for a better dessert for my 30th anniversary. I also had a a buger that was really good and a takoyaki bread. The takoyaki bread really surprised me, everything was really fresh the takoyaki inside wasn't soggy at all. My girlfriend had a melon pan and a matcha tiramisu. Everything was still as good as first time we went. Definitely my favorite pastries shop.

Such an amazing asian pastry and cake! Everything is perfectly done! I bought a cake there for a friend birthday, a drink and also some of their snacks. I wasn't disappointed at all! They have sweet and savory treats, so it's versatile for everyone. I totally recommend it!

We googled pastry shop near my place and landed on Tania’s Patisserie and discovered it was a home business. My husband and I, decided we wanted to order our babyshower cake from Tania and support the business. I of course went through her reviews and they were really good. And I definitely agree with them, the cake was very pretty and delicious. It was not too sweet and perfect creaminess and icing to it. Everyone loved it and most importantly the mother to be and father to be really loved it:) Tania was wonderful with communicating with me over instagram or phone and provided her professional opinion to help us with our cake. I would definitely recommend her if you guys are looking for very yummy cake and beautiful ones too.

I don’t even know how to thank our baker enough. We had a last-minute cancellation for our wedding cake, and she so generously stepped in, worked with us on super short notice, offered a very reasonable price, and still managed to bring our vision to life perfectly. Not only was the cake exactly what we wanted aesthetically, but it was also delicious — the kind of cake people actually remember.

She also made verrines for us that we served as a late-night snack and let me tell you… not a single one was left. People devoured them. I just got a compliment last weekend about the tiramisu one, and our wedding was in June!

She was so kind, accommodating, and talented — I’d recommend her in a heartbeat.

I ordered a pistachio cake with chocolate buttercream. The cake was moist and tasted great. We could see the tiny pieces of pistachio in the cake. The chocolate buttercream paired well. The cake was not oversweet. The children loved it and wanted more.

This place is truly a heaven for dessert and pastry lovers! There are so many options - I was honestly fascinated just looking at the display.

We also tried their wraps, and they were so fresh, and absolutely delicious. It’s nice to see a place that does both sweet and savory so well.

As for the desserts, we tried two flavors: mango and strawberry. Both were tasty, but the strawberry one stole the show for me.

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood to treat yourself!

It is a good experience not a crowded place to be
Everything is vegan so good for anyone to explore... but do ask them about gluten free options... I didn't.. but I think they should be carrying some.

Regarding the taste:
As you will be able to see in the picture that I ordered 2 items:
Chocolate:
It was good (7/10), it has a nice balance of sweetness and chocolate.. but I was not able to get any lunch from the walnut filling..
It melts in mount and give a god after taste of dark chocolate.

Lime: it was not the best they got..
I will not recommend it a the lime flavour at the top center overpowered the remaining experience.. you will taste a strong lime hit...

So overall..

You can tell how much care and thought goes into everything they make each pastry is beautifully presented and full of flavor. They offer a great mix of sweet and savoury options, and everything looks almost too good to eat.

It was a little on the pricey side, but honestly, it was worth it for the quality and experience. I was also really impressed by how easily they accommodated my nut allergy. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and made the whole experience feel safe and welcoming. It’s not always easy to find places that take allergies seriously, so that meant a lot.

A must-visit spot if you’re into pastries that are both creative and carefully made

Pâtisserie Zébulon makes one of the best chocolate chip cookies in Montreal, their chocolate moose pastry is out of this world spectacular, and their coffee isn’t bad either. The service at their new St.Denis location is quite attentive and helpful, as they go out of there way to describe the details of their craft. Generally, things are on the expensive side, but I guess you get what you pay for since the quality of these Vegan treats are top notch. To be honest, I wish the chairs and tables were more comfortable for relaxing, and unfortunately this cafe’s atmosphere is a bit barren and cold, but hopefully that will improve with time. In any case, I do look forward to returning to Pâtisserie Zébulon to sample more of their menu.

Excellent staff, very spacious and well lit with well designed seating. But above all yummy baked goods - breads and pastries and lovely people behind the counter. A touch of flair is the sight of people working on their buttery creations!

I did a Tanino treatment at this salon, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The heat was way too high, and she made a professional mistake that seriously damaged my hair. When I expressed my concern, she was rude and aggressive. Completely unprofessional. I do not recommend.

At the last minute, I had to request that my gift order be re-routed at and they responded to me immediately, after-hours (!), to start working on it. They were able to get the courier company to change the delivery just in time. This is a small business run by real people who care and provided excellent customer service. What a perfect little old school pensione in a fantastic neighbourhood in Montreal! Yes there are shared bathrooms - yes there is some noise bleed from the street and concert venues - but hey! You are in a vibrant spot full of shops, restaurants, galleries, and coffee shops/bakeries, the rooms are soundproofed, and the bedrooms, shared areas and bathrooms are super clean and funky! And did I mention the price was right?!? The bar/vegetarian restaurant downstairs is great - you get a food discount during your stay. The manager Tammy was super friendly and enthusiastic - thanks for your hospitality! Feel like I found a secret spot that I want to tell everyone about!!!

One of the rarest gems in the city -- this tiny unique hotel offers great cost, location and staff in one. The management is amazing, the cleanliness was super, and the rooms were very nice. For those with mobility issues, be careful of the narrow stairs up to the rooms, which is common with old-school buildings. You can get off at Laurier statiion from the subway and then walk down St. Joseph to the corner of St. Laurent and you're pretty close. I would stay again every time!

Lodging is on 3rd floor right above Casa resto/showbar. This is an ideal spot for anyone looking to immerse themselves into Montreal's art/music scene. Located in NW end of the Plateau, bordering on Mile End. Delicious food and drinks downstairs and nearby, plenty of nightlife action within 15-20 min walk. Potentially a bit noisy until closing time downstairs (you may want earplugs if going to bed early), but very peaceful during the late hours. Rooms are basic (no tv, no mini fridge...), but very tidy and cozy. For the price and location this was the perfect fit for my needs.

In the words of another review: “Weird. Which is ok if you are one.” They meant it as a an insult but I mean it as a compliment. This is a unique place and I’m so glad we stayed here! Cool decorations and furniture inside, and access to great restaurants and shops outside.
Yes, there’s a bar and live music venue below. Yes, the bathrooms are shared. Yes, there’s no parking included. That’s exactly what they advertise.. so if you need a perfectly quiet, cookie cutter room maybe try a holiday inn instead.

For the price and location and if all you need is a warm and comfortable place to sleep, this is the spot. We booked one with a bathroom, because we’re adults and are not into hostel life anymore, the other rooms had shared toilets. We pushed the two beds together into a luxurious Alaskan king bed and slept like babies, and a down pillow was a nice surprise too! The room was clean, though the floors under the bed needed some attention. The space is cute with vintage vibes and it’s nice running into other travellers. Would definitely stay here again. No real parking nearby but we found underground within a 10min walk.

Horrendous auto insurance service. It took 3 hrs on hold to insure my car. I have been with this insurance company for many years. The on line agents have huge turn over. There are always new agents that do not know what to do. It is basically a chance if you run into a bad agent and are unable to insure your car. Or you get a good agent and you are done in 20 min. Today it took 3 agents and 3 hours to insure my car. Disrespecrfull and untrained agents.

Absolutely pathetic of a company.... get boat damages and make my first claim ever... damages on the boat come in at 7k with labour included...

They offer me 1600$... what a joke of a company... I have 2 boats, 1 ATV, 1 side by side, 1 jeep wrangler, a Kia Carnival, a few trailers and home insurance all with them and pay upwards of 600$ a month... and then they send me a joke of an offer... I told them to cancel my claim and I'll gladly go elsewhere and pay for the damages myself instead of getting 1.6k and then pay a 1k deductible... and get 600$ for a claim I'll still lose money on lol... such a joke... I'm good... I'll keep my clean deciding record and no claims and just change companies... even if they charge me more... I'm still making the switch... i had fixed the rough temporarily to be able to tow it and use the boat for now... and the dude they sent to look at it removed some and left it damaged... they sent a 3rd party company when the guy who came told me they could have sent one of their own inspectors... oh well...

Very bad experience. We own a condo in Montreal on Union Ave and was rented out when bought. Now as we take possession, this company wants to charge more for the fact that the tenant is moving out! Difficult to talk any sense into these people. Their new premium was doubling the market average (did they have a business loss last year?). To add the final insult to the injury, when we called back to cancel the insurance policy, they refused to provide the full amount as shown in their own document about what the refund should have been. Questionable business ethics and totally unprofessional. Will not do the business with them again.

One time and you are threatening me to cancel my policy so I’m sorry that you had to make that effort after all this history with you. Anyway the issue has been regulated and everything is fine now.
