My husband and I hired Vegas Entertainments for our wedding this June at a River Cafe in Calgary. Chris was really responsive and easy to work with! We filled out some forms a few weeks before the wedding that were straightforward with the info and even certain playlists we wanted.

During the wedding, we had Ryan as our DJ and he was wonderful! After talking to other past brides, I don’t think anyone had a DJ who actually checked in with them during the reception. Ryan came over during supper to check that we were happy with the volume. And during the dance he checked in a couple times with me or my husband about how we were liking the music and to confirm what songs we wanted to end the night with. He was very discreet and I really appreciated it! We had a great dance floor and I was probably on it for all but 5 minutes during the night.

I’d originally considered not having a DJ, but I’m so happy that we changed our mind. Vegas Entertainment was the perfect choice!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Chris for our wedding, and let me tell you—he is amazing! He truly brought the party to our special day and kept the energy going from start to finish. Chris is not only talented at what he does, but he’s also incredibly easy to talk to and super flexible. We had a few last-minute changes, and he accommodated everything seamlessly without a hitch. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how great the music was and how fun the atmosphere felt. If you’re looking for someone who will take your event to the next level, Chris is the DJ you want!

I had an amazing experience from start to finish. Chris was so easy to work with and everything got booked incredibly smoothly. Our DJ was Michelle and she made our wedding even better. She kept double checking that everything was going well and clearly cared so much whether things went well. I cannot say enough nice things about her or. Highly recommend.

Chris was nothing short of Amazing. He honoured our pricing from the quote we received a year ago, even with add-ons we didn’t put a deposit on. Did a great job coordinating through the night with song selection and reading the crowd. The best part is he custom made our watermark for the Photo Booth a day before the wedding as ours was last minute and low resolution. Would recommend for any event!

We had the most incredible experience with Chris Minor from Vegas Entertainment. From the start of the inquiry process to the very end of the night we were very well taken care of. Chris was hilarious, the perfect pick for emcee and he went above and beyond to work around my chaotic and unorganized day. This is the BEST bridal boutique! I found my dress right off the bat, and the service there was amazing! The staff is so kind, welcoming and helpful, and they even helped me see what type of jewelry would work best with my dress :) And for any of my girls that are needing alterations for a more modest look, this place has got you covered! They even include an alteration credit if you buy a dress from them! 10/10 fantastic place to dress shop, don’t pass it up!

Absolutely amazing place. The environment is so friendly, warm and loving. I love that it’s plus size friendly. And the wonderful lady who helped me (can’t remember her name) was such a sweetheart and so caring. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shellie at Vesta Weddings. I had my wedding in August 2024, and I am SO grateful I found Shellie. She went above and beyond for us in every respect. My husband and I repeatedly said she was a lifesaver. She kept us on track with timelines and to-do items and helped us consider logistical issues we hadn’t even thought of. Beyond that, she was our ally and advocate when it came to issues with our venue and other vendors.

Her prices were extremely reasonable, in fact probably a steal considering how much extra work she put in. She is the rare but perfect combination of being highly detailed oriented and capable of taking charge of any situation or group of people but also easy going and friendly to chat with and spend time with.

I had Wakeup Starlight come play for my husband's 40th birthday. They were AMAZING! So fun! I had a ton of compliments from my guests on how great the band was. They came with all the production and I didn't have to do anything. They are all super personable and easy to communicate with. The transaction itself was flawless. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys, in fact I'd love to have another event just to have them back.

We live out by chestermere high school, and we prefer to come to this location vs East Hills. There is plenty of parking and the store is more orginized. We have always had good service here.

When I visited this this walmart location just a week ago I was appalled by the entire FRESH Department as it was nothing more than an eyesore. The amount of damaged products thrown on the shelves in the bakery, nearly rotten produce in the cooler area and produce display boxes.More alarming let me mention expired meats that looked beyond rancid and definitely screaming unsafe to eat unless you have a willingness to be hospitalized. I saw what looked to be a higher up employee ( supervisors or management)in the store running around on their personal
Cell phone speaking Punjabi, to whom I can only assume was family or friends ignoring customers, as I did try approach one to question about the Fresh department and all the issues I had found since there was absolutely nobody present in the entire area of fresh! Nobody stocking the shelves or quality control in the department. I used to be a Walmart canada employee in Edmonton and to be blatantly honest this is unacceptable and management should be held accountable. Staff like myself would never be allowed to Run around on our personal cell phones speaking to friends or family during shift nor would we even be employed letting the heart of our store(FRESH) ever look like this. Since I was never given the time of day by the young man who was wearing glasses and of east Indian ethnicity roughly in his twenties I went ahead and filed complaint with alberta health services. It's obvious this store lacks the knowledge of canadian food safe policies they lacks FIFO policies and how to properly mark down and dispose of expired meats, since I saw many nearing their expiry and again the rancid meat (chicken) I came across was 4 days past expiry. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Clearly I care more about your customers than the store manager, department managers, supervisors and department workers. Thoroughly disgusted and don't know how your store is still open and serving the community members or strathmore and surrounding areas. I wish I was still employed by walmart because I would file a formal complaint to corporate office and the CEO.

I will not be recommending this store to any friends or family that visit the strathmore area. As I know many whom travel to and visit often.

Aisles are incredibly tight and cramped, especially the produce section. it is impossible to fit a shopping cart in there.
Product selection is incredibly lacking compared to other stores like East Hills Calgary or Marlborough Calgary. Absolutely disappointing how poorly planned the store layout is.

The grocery store is terrible (it is not Super Centre type..much smaller) with poor selection, tired looking fruits and veggies and meat that looks a bit old. Grocery part is crowded. The store is generally disorganized and not very clean. Even the blue on the outside of building is faded. This store needs a complete overhaul.

Website is no longer accessible. Having to verify every 10 seconds that I am not a robot. Can't login to my account, because it keeps getting stuck on verifying that I am not a robot. Screw you Walmart. AI isn't the answer to everything.

I had a great experience with Marsha and her team for decorating for my wedding. She was very attentive to my requests and would come back with many different color options or fabric options. In the end, I was really happy and impressed by what she was able to achieve.

She supplied our floral arrangements and we received so many on how elegant and captivating the floral arrangements were. Masha and her assistant did an AMAZING job! We are so happy how everything came together. She listened to our vision and flawlessly created what we wanted. She was so kind and easy to work with. She also made me a beautiful bouquet with a bunch of flowers I bought from Michaels. And when she sent me a photo of my bouquet I literally cried because I was so surprised that she created something so beautiful! Our circle arch was the main highlight for us. We sent her some ideas and photos and what she did was absolutely breathtaking and better than what we asked for! I highly recommend hiring this company for your special event!

The linens I received from this company were leaching dye straight out of the package—a major issue for any event setup. I provided clear video evidence showing the dye transfer as I removed the linens directly from the manufacturer’s packaging. Despite this, the company continues to deny that there’s any problem.

Initially, they admitted there had been an error in their production run and apologized, but later contradicted themselves and claimed there was no issue at all. I had to take the linens home and wash them the night before our event, and they even turned the inside of my dryer blue.

This level of inconvenience and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Even with photo and video proof, the company refused to take responsibility. I do not recommend this company, especially to event professionals. They do not stand behind their products, and if there’s an issue, you’re on your own.

I came to this place to purchase napkins, table runners and charger plates. They have different varieties, and good price in comparison of Amazon.

I had such a pleasant experience at Wedding Linens today. The staff were quick to assist and even provided valuable recommendations. This was my first time shopping wholesale for linens, and I can't wait to come back for some personal shopping!

I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Kate Wadsworth, an insurance broker at the Strathmore branch. She’s been incredibly kind and has been doing everything she can to make sure I get the best quote I can through the carriers that Western Financial works with! She’s been an absolute lifesaver, and the small interactions I’ve had with other employees at this branch have been nothing short of a pleasure. Everybody is incredibly polite and patient, and I think it’s safe to say that I’ll be coming to WFG for all my insurance needs in the future! Especially with Kate specifically, she’s been such a blessing during my very stressful insurance search.

This has been one of the most stressful and damaging experiences I’ve ever had with an insurance broker. When I went to Western Financial Group, I specifically requested full coverage including Section C (collision and comprehensive) for my financed truck — a non-negotiable requirement from my lender, which I made clear from the start. I even provided a bill of sale with my application that clearly showed CIBC as the lienholder, so they knew full coverage was mandatory.

The broker never disclosed that my driving record — which they had access to — meant they couldn’t offer that full coverage. Any professional broker would have said, “You have more convictions, so we’re not able to offer you full coverage. Would you like to proceed with just liability for $500 a month?” Instead, they went ahead and bound the policy anyway, without my informed consent.

By doing so, they failed to meet their obligations under Alberta’s Insurance Act and the AIC’s Standards of Professional Conduct, including:
• Duty of Good Faith – providing complete and accurate information before binding coverage.
• Suitability Requirement – ensuring the product meets the client’s stated needs and requirements.

When I learned the truth after the policy was already bound, I had no choice but to cancel. Western Financial refuses to record the cancellation reason honestly, insisting on “insured’s request” instead of stating the real reason — that the policy never met my request or my lender’s requirements. This misrepresentation now taints my insurance record and may make it harder and more expensive to insure my vehicle in the future.

The result has been weeks of stress, sleepless nights, and countless hours wasted trying to fix a problem that never should have existed. This isn’t just about money — it’s about trust, professionalism, and accountability. Western Financial failed me on all three.

When I was in customer for 5 to 6 years.They decided to lie to me I wasn't able to make my payment on time and they said once it gets closer to the due date, They said yes The first time I called them about it and they told me. as long as you call before The do date So I did 4 days Before for the do then they told me that they Can't.They then on top of it. They charged my account multiple times causing me to get almost $200 and NFL fees and on top. I have to pay their nsf fees And this was all within 1 week.

Kate wadsworth was patient and helpful in ensuring we got the best insurance, and a great price. This kept the land owners happy, and allowed us to have a successful event! Will be using them again, despite being from a different city from me!

Very rarely do they get back to you. I have had to deal with them only a handful of times over the years I have been with them, but each time it's a month+ for things such as simple quotes, and I am the one who has to follow up and remind them I am waiting before they scramble and quickly throw something together which is poorly assembled and obvious that it was a last minute presentation, which leads me to wonder if they are indeed trying to find the best policy or simply offering the first one available.

We stayed here one night. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and continental breakfast was good with lots of selection and food (oatmeal, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, yogurt, and hashbrowns; 3 types of juice, coffee, milk and tea). We will definitely stay there again!

Room is clean , sheets clean. Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. Bathroom needs an urgent update, the shower is very old, bathtub slippery and dangerous. Coffee maker is good, works well. The tv remote needs to be changed, it was broken, hard to change channels. They offer breakfast but it ends at 9am, too soon! Could go up to 9:30, not all travellers leave so early!

The room was not clean, especially the bathroom. Very noisy location with constant traffic. I wanted a ground floor room because I had my dog with me. They insisted they didn't have any and I was forced to climb the stairs with luggage and dog. I could clearly see there were plenty of empty rooms on the ground floor. The breakfast was good though.

Loved this location. Really great breakfast, hairdryer in room with Kierig. We had two cats and it was worth the pet fee. Maybe an older location. But super clean and friendly.

Westland was very helpful and informative regarding our renewal. Adelle especially was quick to respond and excellent in providing good, quality information.

A few months ago, I contacted this company. My experience with them was really poor. There was lack of communication, accountability and rudeness. My requests weren't properly addressed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company.

Love this company. They have always been helpful and give great advice when purchasing products or even when making a claim and you have questions. Would highly recommend every day of the year.

Dan has been my go to guy for awhile and is awesome. I have also dealt with many of the others in the office and they are the best.

The team has been very supportive in helping me find the best insurance options. Being a newcomer to Canada, it is like the wild west out there in terms of trying to get insurance that is even close to affordable, and options change depending on the years of insurance history I build up.

The team at Westland have always been great to deal with. And moving to a new Province the help they provide us to move and transfer vehicles was not only patient and understanding, but the best service I’ve seen in many many years from any organization

My goodness where to begin with this awful hotel stay. Starting with the payment, you have to pre-pay for your entire stay upfront with no refunds. There are also no damage deposits to pay which very much explains the state of the rooms. Rooms are filthy and disgusting. Anything that touched any surfaces in that hotel were disinfected or washed upon returning home. Garbage was left in the coffee maker and under the bathroom counter from the previous guest. Room smelled awful, chairs and carpet were covered in unknown stains and public hair littered the bathtub floor on a supposedly clean hotel room. Towels were filthy with who mows what kind of stains. My bed had sheets that smelled of pee and pee stains all over the sheets. I had to go to the front desk to beg for new clean sheets to replace the pee stained ones. Once returning to my room and stripping the bed. I found out the pee seeped through the sheets onto the protective cover but thankfully missed the mattress. Mattress was about as comfortable as lying on a bed of rocks. Do not go to this hotel and save yourself the money.

Filthy dirty room.......dirty underwear left under the desk, dirty floor and beds, nasty bathroom with dirt and hair on floor and in the shower. Will not book here again....better to sleep in your vehicle or elsewhere.

Bf and I got into town around 2am needing a place to stay. We waited for about half an hour, called the after hours line multiple times and heard it ringing in the office behind the desk, but no one ever answered or showed up so we left and found a better hotel.

This place is filthy, smells so bad inside the lobby and had a horrible chemical smell in the room. The towels and shower curtain were dirty and stained. Light fixtures were broken and dirty. Chair looked like someone had peed on it. Bed was actually clean, shocking, yet extremely uncomfortable. Window and carpets need to be cleaned. I cannot believe they charge $169+tax a night for this place, honestly they should be ashamed. My bad for not looking deeper into the reviews. Save yourself the heebie-jeebies and book somewhere else. Wish I could get a refund.

Checked into the room. The place is pet friendly.. THATS the only positive thing. I found drugs in the garbage. I took the garbage container to the front desk.. he said he was sorry. Gave me an industial garbage bag to take back with me. 🤦‍♀️There wasn't even a bag in it. Pubic hair all over the bathroom. The sheets had not been changed, the bed was remade, and that not exajuating. I was not only afraid for myself , but for my furry family member, that he might pick something and get sick. I immediately checked out. After explaining the state of the room, the would not refund me the room.. the bed has a sheet and a bed spread.. not even a blanket. I then checked into Westlake Inn, same price. Clean. With a completely breakfast. Anyone reading this, just come to the Westlake Inn..

I love the variety of classes offered here! My first paint night went WAY better than I expected. The steps were broken down so well, even I could follow them 💞

I took an acrylic paint pouring class at the Society. It was an excellent class and a really good instructor. She made the class fun and easy to do and learn. The class was the right size. A d the space was great.

Pottery classes and Preschool art classes are always so much fun! Teachers are so kind and so patient. We are so lucky to have access to such an amazing resource.

**Update** they very graciously offered to do a redo of my nails. Had someone different and she was very meticulous which I appreciated. So far my nails seem to be lasting, maybe it was just a one off. Will try again later as they were very kind and I really loved the atmosphere they have.

To be honest I was really looking forward to trying them out but I was vastly disappointed in the end.
It hadn't even been a week before my nails started peeling and they looked like I've had the nail polish on for over two. The polish chipped really quickly, and she didn't paint close enough to my cuticles for it to not look like it was over grown already. Also she didn't really do what I asked when it came to trimming my nails. Was not worth the $120+ that I spent... Will not be going back for any nail polish that's for sure.

Willowtree Spa is absolutely incredible! The space is so beautiful, relaxing, and welcoming. I’ve enjoyed facials, body wraps, massages, and laser hair treatments here and always leave feeling amazing. The team goes above and beyond to make every single experience special, and their level of care is unmatched. On top of that, they are such wonderful supporters of our community, which makes me appreciate them even more. I can’t recommend Willowtree Spa enough. You will leave feeling refreshed, cared for, and so happy every time!

This place = amazing! The space is beautiful and welcoming. Staff are so nice and friendly. I had a facial and a pedicure here and left feeling so relaxed! Rachael was super friendly and easy to talk to during conversation. They even gave me a little goodie bag to take home. The staff was helping another customer while I was waiting for my appointment to begin, and they sounded extremely knowledgeable and friendly while assisting this client. I'll definitely be back to this gem of a place and if you're considering scheduling a service, DO IT! You will not be disappointed!

I just wanted to share how amazing my facial with Jordan was! From the moment I arrived, Jordan made me feel completely at ease. The treatment was not only incredibly relaxing, but my skin has never looked or felt better—glowing, hydrated, and refreshed. Zoe did a wonderful job on our wedding photos!! Super happy with them!! She’s done photos 3 times for us now and they’ve always been 10/10!

Zoe is an exceptional photographer. We wanted fun, casual, candid pictures and she captured us so well. She has such a special way of making you feel comfortable which made it easy for us to be ourselves and have fun (even for my awkward husband😉). Zoe photographed both our engagement and our wedding. Our engagement shoot was in the winter and although we were freezing, Zoe made us so comfortable and took the most beautiful photos. Our wedding photos are so beautiful, she was able to capture every special moment perfectly. Zoe is so great with big bridal parties, kids, and not so photogenic men! She is highly recommended by us and our families.

we have booked Zoe for a maternity shoot as well as a family shoot and her work is amazing! She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera even if you think it will be awkward to pose. Highly recommend using her for any event you’d like to capture!

We were very disappointed in the photo's of our son's wedding. Just to name a few of the issues we had...eyes closed, white spots on the photo's, details were missed...example wedding cake topper was feathers and the feathers were sitting on table when she took the photo. You would have thought she would have put them in the cake prior to the photo! One photo of the couple walking out and my son's eyes were closed. The list goes on and on....
Not everyone can be a good wedding photographer and prior to claiming you are you should probably think about it. The couple will never get that day again and it's heartbreaking that Zoe did such a poor job!
