We got married in the crystal ballroom recently and our venue coordinator Rhea was amazing! From the very beginning of the planning process, her support, organization, and attention to detail made such a difference — and we truly couldn’t have done it without her.

On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly thanks to her guidance and coordination. Knowing we were in such capable hands allowed us to fully enjoy the moment with our friends and family. We’ve received so many compliments on the venue, and it’s clear her hard work played a huge part in creating such a beautiful and memorable experience.

She left a beautiful card in our bridal suite (which was VERY nice). It was so thoughtful of her - the little added touches meant so much to us and we are so grateful. We had the most amazing day! The King Edward will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are already looking forward to being back for our one year anniversary!

What a great experience here! We stayed for a couple of days and the team there was so kind and courteous. Location is also great- centrally located and close to public transit. If you drive, there is both valet and self park in a nice, well lit garage.

Rooms are clean and neat, and I actually like how quiet it is. However, this is a popular wedding venue, so I would recommend not getting a high floor or a low floor if you are seeking quiet.

Would definitely come back!

Great hotel. Had a very chic and luxurious feel. Super friendly staff. Room was super clean, modern but cozy feel. Bed was so comfy!! The location is fantastic. Close to all major landmarks in Toronto, all within walking distance. Highly recommend!!!!

Rooms are the size of an apartment. Excellent beds, carpeted. Great washroom and shower, ceramic floors. The only issue is that the window by the bed lets in too much light so you cannot get the room pitch dark for sleeping. They problem is that they use curtains when good double layered shades would be the solution. The food at the bar restaurant on lobby level is excellent, as is the service.

An Absolute Must Stay! The Best Part - The Team! - including everyone from the front desk (Michael, Jen, and Madeleine) to the staff at Victoria’s (Dey and Taylor) were absolutely outstanding. We were stuck with the recent Air Canada strike, and the team was able to accommodate our needs perfectly. Thank you to everyone for a fantastic trip. We will definitely be back in the future. Beautiful room, clean and safe environment! Very well done.

I went to 10 different shops before finding THE ONE at The One. Even though my dress was a rental, I appreciated how Coco was still able to do minor alterations to make it a perfect fit. Coco is very friendly and experienced at what she does. My wife also ended up finding her dress at The One. It was a nice coincidence and made everything very convenient. Everyone was complimenting both our dresses on the wedding day. We felt absolutely beautiful!

Coco was so easy and wonderful to work with from start to finish. I rented a white wedding dress and a traditional red dress. Even though they were rentals, she was able to make alterations and they ended up fitting me like a glove. My wife also rented her dress from The One Bridal, and she was very accommodating when we told her we were keeping our dresses a secret until our first look, making sure neither of us saw the dress we picked out. I appreciated Coco's kindness, efficiency, and attention to detail, and would highly recommend to others!

I would like to thank Coco for a wonderful experience. Coco was very friendly and helpful, she patiently showed us many beautiful wedding dresses to try on, and taught us many tips for putting on the dress on the big day. The studio is cozy with plenty of options, upon the first visit I was able to pick out my dream dress for the wedding! The photographers recommended by Coco were great, they were very friendly and helped us create beautiful memories for the big day.

I stayed at 3 hostels over 4 nights, and I'm glad I ended with this one. It was the best by far!

- Reasonably priced (other places charging more than $100/night for a dorm bed is bonkers)
- Cute and homey with funky decor
- Friendly staff and visitors
- Comfy beds and pillows!!!

I was a bit worried about being further from downtown, but it's easy to get to on the subway. I'll definitely stay here for my full trip next time!

I have stayed in many hostels, but this is the first one where I found a vibrant community where people were open to learning about each other, and that should be the spirit of a hostel experience. The staff was very communicative and attended to you like you were the only exclusive guest in the space. I would definitely recommend backpackers to make a stopover here.

Booked because I had a late flight the other day and appreciated the possibility of hanging out in relaxing common areas. Didn't get much sleep because the women-only room had a large cellar window and was told in the morning I couldn't enter the common areas anymore (which I never encountered before and isn't mentioned anywhere online or at checkin). Breakfast is minimal. Onsite staff was nice, but would recommend travellers go to Samesun or another hostel in Toronto.

Please be cautious while booking this hostel. Even though I paid the initial deposit amount, upon reaching the hostel on a Saturday afternoon, I was told that my reservation was cancelled and my room given to someone else. I was left without a room on a busy weekend where I then had to book another place for 3 times the price. Moreover they didn’t even refund my deposit. Please be aware. Just for more profits they can put your trip in jeopardy. The places vibe looked decent but the location was quite Okaish.

This hostel is my favorite in Toronto! It's located in a very cozy area with a lot of things happening without necessarily having the craziness of downtown! But the best part of this hostel is the staff. They are so nice and welcoming, and truly make you feel like this is your home. The place is also connected to a café where you get a hostel discount and can enjoy great coffee, cake, beer and live music in the weekend! This is a must try hostel in Toronto.

Opera House Review
We went to the Opera House for the Two-Lane concert, and it was an amazing experience. The sound quality was excellent, and although the venue is small, it felt very comfortable and intimate. We had standing spots in the mezzanine, which offered great visibility. I also appreciated how easily accessible the bar was on the second floor. The canned whiskey sour was a perfect choice—smooth, well-mixed, and easy to enjoy during the show.

I recently attended an event at this venue and had a genuinely pleasant experience. One of the standout features for me was how intimate the space felt — not too large or overwhelming, which made for a more personal and engaging atmosphere.

Another highlight was how efficiently everything was managed from the moment I arrived. The security check at the entrance was quick, well-organized, and friendly. I also appreciated how clean the facilities were, especially the washrooms.

What also made the experience even better was the location itself. The surrounding area has a great selection of restaurants and cafes, making it easy to grab a bite before or after the event.

The Opera House is still one of Toronto’s most iconic venues - even with Live Nation now running the show, it hasn’t lost its old-school charm.

Lines usually move quickly, even on sold-out nights. If you don’t mind a partially obstructed view, standing behind the sound booth or on the raised steps gives you some breathing room - plus you’ll be near the air conditioning vents, which makes a big difference when the crowd heats up.

Security is friendly and low-key, drinks are standard venue pricing, and the sound is always solid. As a photographer/videographer, this is a great place to shoot - lighting is consistently on point, and the vibe of the space lends itself well to live visuals.

Parking is manageable if you arrive 30–60 minutes before showtime, but can get tricky closer to the event due to nearby restaurants and TTC traffic.

If there’s one thing that needs a revisit, it’s the bathrooms. They’re located downstairs, and the narrow staircase leading to them is only really wide enough for one person at a time going up or down - definitely something that could use an upgrade for safety and comfort.

That aside, The Opera House still delivers where it counts - sound, lighting, and atmosphere. A reliable spot for live music and one of the few classic Toronto venues still standing strong.

Great small venue! Entering was a breeze, there was a coat check but I didn't use it. Balcony and main floor were all general admission. Drinks were much better priced than larger venues. The Bathroom concierge was unexpected. I went for Dear Rouge and they sounded great.

Great 500 person venue for live performances. I'd go again. Old man tips: General admission so get there early and don't drink so you don't have to pee. Wear quality shoes to stand for hours. Wear ear protection.

Bar tender was attentive. Live jazz was melodious. The Night Circus dances on the floor from a distance was a nice performance.

Located in downtown Toronto, The Painted Lady is a quaint venue that can seat approximately 30 people, and there is room for maybe 30 more standing.

The acoustics in the room are ideal for an intimate acoustic show.

Parking is limited to street parking at Green P parking down the street, however, so you may need to drive around a while to find a spot. I recommend a cab, Uber, or public transportation.

Good vibe, good atmosphere, bartenders will not treat you with any respect. Got told i didnt tip at the end of the night after tipping on every drink…

Was the weirdest and worst / treatment from a server after telling them it was my birthday.

Good vibes, DJ was playing some good tunes when we went, I mean he was playing Tribe called Quest when we walked in so place gets an automatic ✓. Decently priced drinks, service at the bar and was quick.

Oh the bar top dancer seems to be very popular she got the whole place going. We were seated close to the DJ console and it was just ridiculously loud so had to leave. But I think that was due to where our table was, sound seemed better in other parts.

Teresa and Amanda are so nice and they show you everything so you can pick and choose the style you like for your invites in the colour and fonts you want. We just received our wedding invitations and they’re everything we were hoping they would be! Each card is hand gilded and the attention to detail is amazing. Best hidden gem! been a shopper here for years. Best greeting cards. Sweet & funny. Elevated gifting. I buy their Pj sets for gifts. But my fav is their HOME DECOR! So many of my pieces that I use to host & table scape are from Paper Moon. Thank you!

Lots of creative interesting cute unique gift items. Mostly handmade from other countries. I enjoyed checking out their display. Space is limited. Price is a bit higher. No parking at the store but there's some along street.

I went in to pick up some felted dryer ball sitting at the bottom shelf. The lady at the store is very rude told me ‘ stand up so I can see you’. I simply can’t believe what I just heard. I would never want to visit or purchase from this store any more. This store simply treated everyone as thief.

I went in to return some items hoping to receive a refund but that is not why I am upset. They have a no refund policy that is expressed with a tiny sign that cannot be seen to the purchasing customer. If a store has a refund policy it should be known and displayed. When I complained of this the retail associate was most unhelpful. Such a shame. They gave no receipt

I went in this store on my walk home and love it! They have such special and unique items that you won’t find at other places. Perfect if you need good quality festive gifts, special cards or even beautiful jewellery. Definitely going to go there again!

Wow!!! If you are obsessed with all things paper, notebooks, pencils, etc., then this is the story for you!!! It’s a bit on the pricier side but it’s so much fun to explore and discover and all the beautiful paper and craft designs. Bring back handwritten letters because this place has the coolest options with unique art and stickers🤩

The Paper Place is a huge coup de cœur, I've seen many paper shops over the years and often feel like I’m stepping into similar experiences—fun but predictable, with products seemingly sourced from the same distributors. The decor may vary, but the overall experience often feels the same over and over again.

However, The Paper Place stands out. From the moment you enter, it is clear that this shop is run by people who are passionate about paper. You can hear them talk about origami and supplies, and the staff are not only knowledgeable but also super enthusiastic about what they do. Their smiles and dedication is a proof of that.

The care taken in selecting the paper and curating the store is evident. Every item is beautifully displayed, with thoughtful and charming presentation. I found myself wanting to stay longer, even considering leaving my job just to be surrounded by such an inspiring environment!

I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. The next time I’m in Toronto, I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

I love this place. My soul loves this place. My eyes love this place!

The selection of wrapping paper is so amazing. So amazing that I had a great idea. Inside of wall papering the whole paper, why not just pick up a few pieces of wrapping paper and use that instead or even better why not frame it? It's that gorgeous.

Also, I love the selection of stationary, all sorts of amazing bold colours.

I like to call this gem of a spot on Queen Street a bonanza of great exploding colours to tickle your the inner artist in you.

I love beautiful stationery. I think it's such a small way to brighten up and add creativity to life in a stressful world. I travel a lot and always make time to check out and support local stationery stores wherever I go, and The Paper Place is my favorite one in the Western hemisphere. Imo the only place that comes anywhere near it in the US is Kinokuniya in Manhattan, but I think The Paper Place easily tops it in non-book merchandise.

The attached photo doesn't do their products justice, but trust me, as someone who has spent an absurd amount of time and effort looking at stickers and pretty papers and gorgeous cards and whimsical office products, their inventory is top-notch. So well-curated and unique and a great variety of designs and objects. I ended up buying a dozen individual cards in addition to stickers, papers, and memo pads because I simply couldn't eliminate any of them.

It's probably better for my wallet that I live over 400 miles away, but I can't wait to visit again when I'm back in Toronto!

The store is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly patient and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist me with a last-minute pre-Christmas order. I also had the pleasure of attending their bookbinding workshop, which was a wonderful experience. I look forward to seeing more events like this in the future!

Aroma Cannabis Emporium on Queensway is a great spot if you’re looking for quality products and a relaxed vibe. The store has a funky atmosphere that feels welcoming as soon as you walk in, and the staff really add to that experience. They’re chill, approachable, and clearly know their stuff, making it easy to ask questions or just browse without pressure.

One of the standout things about this place is the variety and the cool drops they get in—you can tell they keep things fresh and interesting for regulars and new customers alike. It’s not just about picking something up; it feels more like discovering something new every visit.

The only downside is the parking situation. It can be tough to find a spot, especially during peak hours, which makes popping in a little less convenient. But once you’re inside, the experience makes up for it.

Overall, Aroma Cannabis Emporium has the right mix of quality, atmosphere, and customer service. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and don’t mind the small challenge of parking.

Parkdale Hall is a great vintage style live venue with tons of character. It’s got that old school charm that really adds to the atmosphere of the performances. They regularly host artists from all over the world, which makes every visit a unique experience. The acoustics are solid, and the space feels intimate but not cramped. Parking in the area is actually not bad, especially compared to other Toronto venues. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into live music and want something with more personality than your average concert hall.

went here for the 82 major concert. Its a pretty small venue, but the stage is raised which makes it slightly easier to see. The worst part were the bathrooms. Theres very little standing area to wait in line for the stalls, and its musty. But overall good experience for a small concert.

We came to this historic hall for the candle night concert. The venue is easy to access by transit and have its own parking lot. Beautiful venue with bar and coffee shop. The Parkdale brand beer must try. The staffs are very friendly. We have a wonderful time. Definitely will come back for the coffee

Went to the weekend market - lots of great craft items. Was able to find relatively close street parking. Market organizers very friendly (and gave our kids popsicles). In the hot summer heat the air conditioning was amazing. Lots of washrooms too.

We had the best time and are so glad we chose Pop-Up Chapel. My sister also had her wedding with them, so we’ve seen firsthand how consistently great they are. The experience was seamless! Everyone we spoke to throughout the process was super accommodating and kind! We really wanted to go with a stress-free ceremony option and this was not only affordable, but everything is sorted for you! All we had to do was show up and not worry about any of the small details. My husband and I fell in love with the venue (Globe and Mail Centre) and without Pop-up chapel there would have been no way for us to have our ceremony there. We did end up having a dinner and a reception later in the day after our ceremony, so this was still an amazing option even if you are planning a big celebration after the ceremony.

My husband and I are so happy with our experience with the Pop-Up Chapel Co. They were incredibly easy to work with and made the entire experience a breeze - once we provided a few of our preferences we truly just had to show up. All of the vendors that supported on the day-of were amazing, too!

I hosted my wedding at this venue this past June and I have to say my overall experience was incredible. The staff were amazing and helpful, this includes from the early planning stages with the event specialists to the operations manager onsite. The space is new, bright and STUNNING. There is an outdoor terrace where we held our ceremony and has a beautiful pergola /gardens. The food was exceptional - my friends and family are still raving about it!!! HIGHLY recommend this space for any event/wedding!!

Hamburger was good and my crispy chicken sandwich was crunchy.

Server was nice but overwhelmed by the crowd before a Jays game.

The Rec Room in Toronto is an amazing place to visit if you’re looking for a fun night out with family or friends. It offers a fantastic variety of games, from classic arcade machines to modern interactive experiences, making it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The design of the place is very modern yet cozy, with plenty of tables and seating areas to relax between games. The atmosphere feels lively and welcoming, and it’s easy to spend hours enjoying everything it has to offer.

The restaurant is excellent, with a good selection of meals that go far beyond the typical arcade fare. There’s also a very good bar serving a wide range of drinks, making it equally appealing for those who just want to enjoy a nice dinner or drink while others play. A helpful note for families: children are welcome during the day, but after 11 PM no kids are allowed, so plan accordingly.

The location could not be better,right in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district. It’s only steps away from the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Rogers Centre, and many other major attractions. Parking is also very convenient, with a large indoor lot just a short walk away.

Was pretty good overall.
We enjoyed the arcade, they had lots of game options and the gamecards were decently priced.

The food was really good for the price. However, the poutine sucks, they use the wrong type of gravy. Loved the complimentary popcorn!

The only major downside was the service. Nothing went wrong, but no one was overly nice and welcoming.
The bathrooms are decorated nicely, but there is a serious smell, and they are very dirty.

I would come back, but with lowered expectations.

Tried their food for the first time and it was amazing! The hot honey wings were incredible, and the mac and cheese was packed with rich, savory flavor. The cocktails were refreshing and paired perfectly with the food—though I’d prefer a little less ice. The only hiccup was getting our waters served or refilled, but given it was a busy Sunday, it’s understandable. The staff was still friendly throughout. I’ll definitely be back for both the food and the vibe—perfect spot for a fun, laid-back date!

We had a fantastic time at The Rec Room in downtown Toronto! It’s an excellent spot for both food and entertainment, conveniently located right next to the CN Tower and the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. After a fun-filled visit to the aquarium, we walked over to The Rec Room and were not disappointed.
The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax, eat, and play. The food was delicious and served promptly—perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. The staff was friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Everything was clean, well-organized, and designed to create a fun experience for visitors of all ages.

My friend and I went to see the Yacht Rock Band and we had a great night. They put on a super charged show. The Bartender was phenomenal - venue was perfect. General admission seats are all good seats!! I highly recommend a night at the Redwood Theatre of live music and drinks!

The Redwood Theatre has had a wonderful makeover since I used to rent it 30 years ago for film screenings and political speakers. It is now a polished venue with an attractive bar, comfortable seating, great sound and projector, all-round wonderful! I look forward to returning.

I stayed in a private room with a private bath, and it was really great. The staff was so so helpful. They will hold your bags before you check in and after you check out. The private room was very cozy, had everything I needed. The location is fantastic, maybe the best in the city; walking distance (under 15 minutes) to Chinatown, the AGO, Union Station, Downtown, and much more. Also right on the transit line.

My only note is that the air vent in the bathroom runs continuously and it looked to be very full. I had no effect on my stay, but could be a safety issue if not looked at.

Location was amazing and front desk people were great. Easy check in, and seperate entrance to the hotel (with key card needed to get in). The room was a bit small but very clean. We got the room with the private bathroom but the shared bathrooms looked like they were well maintained. Definitely will stay there again !

Not a fancy place, it’s just ok to stay few days with basic necessities provided though no fridge if you need it.
The main thing is jazz bar on ground floor. While serving typical bar staples it is an attraction for all music lovers who is into jazz or first time going to live performance. Absolutely worth paying admission. I loved the music though I was lucky to come across a session played by very seasoned musicians. Those are big names in jazz.
If you stay in the hotel then definitely check out the bar. They serve free coffee and toasts to hotel patrons too.

I chose this place for a one (ended up being two) night stay in Toronto based on the price and location. Price compared to other hotels/hostels in the area. While the location is very convenient on Queen St., the place is VERY old and absolutely zero frills, although Staff at the front were friendly and helpful. Walking into my room immediately felt like the first time I entered my college dorm. The bed was clean, but the room was pretty beat up and very small. It worked as a place to sleep, but that was really about it. This is also an old building and only three stories (one floor is the jazz bar, and two floors or rooms). I was on the second floor and yes, could also hear the jazz directly below me. Wasn't too much of a problem since I was out exploring the town, but don't expect a quiet environment if you plan to sleep before 1130pm (2330).

Additionally, parking is limited and you will need to pay to park at a nearby garage. I felt my belongings were safe, however the garage was $30 per day. Something to consider if you have a car with you.
All in all, it was a bed to sleep in and the room was clean. But there isn't a whole lot else to say about the place.

We went to the jazz bar. The musicians were great, they gave a wonderful show.

I booked a table for 3, but we got a table for two and they told us we couldn’t move the chairs around the table. So the 3 of us felt quite cramped sitting in a row along one table trying to eat our food and listen to the music.

Also with my order, they gave me (pretty distinctly) tostitos salsa; would recommend that they replace with a homemade salsa instead.

I've stayed at numerous nice/expensive hotels around the world and frequently have good experiences - places with nice lobbies, nice rooms, friendly staffs - but nothing that is super noteworthy. I had a recent visit to The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto for a conference and for the first time in a while was genuinely impressed by a hotel. From the very moment of check-in it felt like an elevated experience - staff that went out of their way to make that little extra effort like walk you to the elevator or send up some complimentary drinks to your room. It for sure felt like a next level experience.

The room was so nice. Extremely spacious bathroom with a large bathtub and walk-in shower - the finishing and the fixtures stood out - just an all around cozy and comfortable experience from the moment you walk in. And the room itself was great - plenty of luxurious pillows, a big desk, several chairs - of course its still a regular hotel room nothing super fancy but it just felt like little extras every time I turned around. And finally a perfect view of the CN Tower from the window. Couldn't have really asked for anything more.

The conference area as well was a good experience. Friendly and kind staff, delicious food - a smooth operation.

The location is of course good - just a few minutes walk to Union Station and 10 or 15 to the waterfront.

Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Ritz-Carlton to celebrate our 15 year anniversary with our 9 year old daughter.

Upon check-in they had to shuffle some things around to secure a room with a king-size bed, which was appreciated. However I was then concerned we wouldn't have anything set up in the room to celebrate the anniversary as I'd requested...lo and behold, about 45 mins after checking in, a very friendly member of staff dropped off a balloon and bottle of sparkling wine to our room...It's little touches like this which really set the true luxury properties apart.

Any interaction with staff was warm and generous without ever feeling over-bearing. The rooms and lobby are beautifully decorated...there is just quality everywhere you look (such as solid marble walls and floors in the bathroom suites or the truly incredible robes!

Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend - excellent location in the heart of Toronto to boot!

We had an incredible stay for my birthday weekend. Our corner suite was spacious, comfortable, and blissfully quiet—perfect for unwinding. Our suite included access to the Club Lounge, which quickly became our favourite spot to relax. The food offerings throughout the day were outstanding, and we enjoyed fantastic wine and cocktails whenever we liked.

The staff truly made the experience exceptional—especially Olga in the Club Lounge. Her warm smile and radiant energy each evening were unforgettable, and we’ll genuinely miss her.

Even knowing we were at a five-star hotel and fully aware of the cost, we were still blown away by the level of service and the way we were cared for from start to finish.

We’re already looking forward to the next time we can treat ourselves to another visit.

Visit on 9/1/25 for our father's birthday. We kept his birthday gift in our room safe. Prior to leaving for his birthday dinner, the safe malfunctioned and did not open. Upon calling for help, we were told that the engineer will be called when he is available. After waiting 15 minutes, we were already behind schedule and could not wait for him. We proceeded to the club lounge to celebrate the occasion. At that time, our dinner was interrupted and asked to return to our room for the engineer to resolve the safe issue. After a 15 minute ordeal, the situation was finally resolved. But, this all came at an expense of hindering our plans for the night. Max, the manager, was not able to offer us a resolution prior to check out and promised to reach out to us within a day. After nearly a week, he did not reach out to us as promised. Upon reaching out to him, he dismissed the situation and was not able to offer a reasonable compensation. Very disappointed in Max. Ritz Carlton needs to hire managers that truly care and are compassionate about the expectations of their guests. Perhaps you should stay at the Four Seasons for a true 5 star experience.

Exceptional Service and Prime Location — A Few Room Quirks, But Still Worth It

I recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto and had a memorable experience—mostly thanks to the outstanding service, especially from the Club Lounge team and front desk staff. The hotel’s downtown location is unbeatable and makes exploring Toronto very convenient (plus, it’s just a short walk from the UP Express train from the airport!).

Upon arrival, I had an issue with my reservation (entirely my fault), but the front desk associate was kind, professional, and helped me get everything sorted out smoothly. Once checked in, I did notice a few issues with the room’s cleanliness and some rips in the sheets. I brought this up the next morning, and the front desk manager could not have been more apologetic or accommodating. He went above and beyond and upgraded us to a beautiful suite on the top floor with Club Lounge access to make up for the inconvenience—truly excellent service.

We upgraded our stay to include Club Lounge access, and I highly recommend it. While we don’t drink, the overall value of the lounge is fantastic—the food offerings were fresh and varied, and the service was impeccable. The team even noted my allergies and made sure I had safe, delicious options at each meal.

The hotel also features a well-equipped gym and a full-service spa. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during our stay, but I’d definitely come back when it reopens. One area for improvement: the rooms could use a refresh. The TV was a bit outdated, and there were a few signs of wear and tear throughout the space—nothing major, but noticeable at this level of hotel.

Overall, I would absolutely return to The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto—especially to celebrate a special occasion. The staff make you feel valued, and the service truly reflects the Ritz-Carlton name.

I’ve ordered multiple cakes from here and were blown away each time. The detail and the beauty of their cakes are unbelievable. They’re also delicious, where most decorated cakes tend to be more dry and stiff. These were not at all. We will continue to order from these amazing ladies and their team.

Ordered our wedding cake at The Rolling Pin and couldn't be happier! The cake looks and taste amazing! We got Chocolate Fudge for the bottom and Vanilla Dulce for the top. The guests loved it

Ordered multiple mini cupcakes for an event and they were all delicious! It was smooth to shop on their website and I was surprised that some mini cupcakes had a flavored filling inside (vanilla dulce, lemon lemon, and apple caramel cheesecake). Would definitely recommend!

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 😛😂)

I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet.

You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled.

Often times, hotel food can be middling in order to appeal to the widest possible audience, which of course makes sense for a hotel.

But the food at the rooftop of the Broadview Hotel was excellent! My group devoured a bunch of the menu items:

Fried calamari
Tuna Tataki
Scallop ceviche
Popcorn chicken
Steak skewers
Nachos
BBQ chicken flatbread

And we washed it all down with both lime and mango margaritas.

Everything was superb. My favorites were the nachos (made with what seemed to be deep fried pita chips) and the popcorn chicken.

The vibe was great too. A DJ was spinning in the corner. The vibe was lovely but you could still hear each other speak from across the table.

And the staff was friendly and attentive.

I’d go back.

And for anyone in Toronto who thinks it’s “all the way in the east end” it’s only about 10 mins in an uber from the financial district.

And the view of the city skyline from the glass enclosed jewel box of a rooftop room is worth heading east.

Went to the rooftop for a team dinner. First time dining there. Our group had many compliments about the view. We sat around 7:30pm in July so there was a lot of sunset to look at.

Menu was diverse and lots of selection. One person in our group was vegetarian and had plenty of choices. Drink menu was good as well. We all enjoyed the evening.

Loved the rooftop outdoor views! We had the best seat up there so that definitely contributed to our great experience. We ordered charcuterie board which wasn’t all the impressive, cauliflower, market salad and steak skewers. We thought they were all good and definitely would order cauliflower and steak skewers again! I had a mango mule alcohol free cocktail which was great.

One of the better rooftop patios that I’ve visited! The ambiance was nice, but at the time of our visit, they played the music very loud, it’s a hit or miss depending on where you were seated, but overall the view was nice, and the seating was cozy, like you were on a rooftop patio!

The servers were really kind, and fun to talk to, and even when requesting to move seats, they were very accomodating.

The food was very good, it took a but longer than expected to come out, but when it arrived, it tasted great. Had truffle fries and their pizza, would definitely recommend!

I stopped in for some takeout and was blown away by the food. Carribean home cooking is best way to describe it. He owners are super friendly and helpful aswell.

Second Phil in the reviews. Finally a place where Phils can go and feel at home. Award winning food. Award winning atmosphere, Rudy and Rhianna are sooo nice and welcoming. I've had the Oxtail, curry chicken, fried chicken, channa, salads, fruit salads, beef soup, cowfoot soup, chowmein, some kind of pork loin, all were awesome. Can't say enough about this spot. The hours aren't accurate on here. They usually don't show up until 5pm, and stay open late late. Come check it out.

If you're looking to escape the ordinary and dive headfirst into a tropical paradise, the new Shameful Tiki Bar on Queen West is calling your name. For years, I was a devotee of their original Parkdale haunt, drawn in by its intimate, rum-soaked atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails. Now, with a new, larger home at 777 Queen Street West, the vibe is still very much alive, just with more room for fellow tiki fanatics to get lei'd (no not that kind).

Stepping inside, you're immediately transported. The larger space is a welcome change, allowing more room for the a bamboo-lined, dimly lit sanctuary that Shameful Tiki is known for. It's the perfect spot to gather with friends and lose track of time. But let's be real, the main event here has always been the drinks, and the new location doesn't disappoint. The cocktails are a masterclass in tropical perfection, each one served in its own unique, wonderfully kitschy glassware. It’s hard to pick a favourite from their extensive list, but the Painkiller stands out for its creamy, coconut-forward deliciousness—a solid 10/10 for someone like me who doesn't drink as much.

This time around, I decided to pair my drinks with some of their famous snacks. The coconut shrimp was an absolute winner—perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of coconut flavour that didn't overwhelm the shrimp itself. A very respectable 9/10.

Unfortunately, the mango habanero ginger wings didn't quite hit the mark for me. While I appreciated that they were grilled, the flavours were a bit muted, and they were on the dry side, which was disappointing. I'd give them a 5/10.

Despite the wings, Shameful Tiki remains a fantastic destination. It’s the perfect spot to sip on some seriously cool drinks, hang out with friends, and soak in that undeniably escapist atmosphere. Just a heads-up: make sure your phone has enough charge to call an Uber or that you have a walking companion to get home safely.

Reservations definitely recommended, for groups of two you may get seated upstairs in a shared seating setting with another group of two which was kind of awkward but not the worst.

Little bit on the louder side but drinks were fun and food surprising decent (but small portion sizes). Kimchi grilled cheese was probably the favourite food wise, crab rangoon was tasty but you only get 4 small pieces.

The atmosphere and vibe is too good and just like a tiki bar on tropical island. We had really too much fun as we were celebrating my friend’s birthday we were placed in a shack kind of set up. It is a little pricey and food is average and drinks are too expensive and mostly ice.
We are asked to pay 25$ for cake cutting fee even we got the cake from outside but we didn’t know if they had policy as such from beginning but that’s alright. Again good place but food was alright and drinks were too less for the price.
