Loved this hotel. Got a fantastic suite for 4 nights. Service was excellent. Room was perfect. Only thing I flagged was the food. Menu was either doing too much or not doing enough , either way I couldn't find anything to eat that made sense but that's fine others will like it. Great location.

A great location within downtown Toronto. The service has been excellent, we had a special request and they addressed it quickly. We also had a room issue and the engineering team was very efficient in resolvong the issue.

Took the two bedroom suite for 7 nights. The suite was very clean and spacious but at the same time very basic for 2000$/night. The service wasn’t the greatest as they kept us waiting for several times when we would request something or they’d simply forget. They also visit your room way too many times and sometimes it feels like they’re just waiting for you to top them and if you were to you would run out of cash in no time because of the number of visits you get for absolute no reason.

I ordered custom cupcakes for my daughter's 2 parties. Both times the cupcakes came out beautiful! Response times and communication was excellent.

My daughter who was turning 8 did request that the 2nd set be a little more sweet which was an easy request that was accommodated. We were happy with the results.

I recently walked into Sweet Crumble, which just opened on Queen Street. I tried their pumpkin spice cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and lemon meringue, and I have to say, they were all fantastic! The pumpkin spice cheesecake was rich and creamy, perfectly capturing the essence of fall with just the right amount of spice. The chocolate mousse was indulgently smooth and decadent, making it a real treat for chocolate lovers. The lemon meringue was light and refreshing, with a beautifully fluffy meringue that balanced the tartness of the lemon perfectly. The macaroons had a good texture, but I found the flavor only shined as an aftertaste. Overall, it was a nice spot to grab something sweet, and I’d definitely recommend trying those desserts!

Update: Came back during June and had their smoothie options and got myself the strawberry banana smoothie. Definitely worth a try specifically during the hot summer

The bread pudding had nuts and raisins added on top. I wish the mouth feel was moist and the pudding was not firm and hard. The price was fair. I also had my eye on creme brulees, maybe another time.

Nice sweet spot to get cute desserts. I got the chocolate muffin for my kids and the chocolate cake for mt wife, they just love it. I had to admit that its evident the effort and care is invest on each dessert, just look at them.

Definetely a must try.

There’s a new pastry and smoothie bar in town. Sonam and his wife opened only a few weeks ago so make sure to stop by to say hello. They have fresh baked pastries and cakes. They also feature a large variety of fresh made smoothies and juices. Everything is extremely well priced which is rare these days. I’ll definitely be back soon to see what other delicious goods they’ll have to offer!

The most gorgeous cupcakes I've ever seen! Emaculate detail. Bev was very accommodating and easy to deal with. Even the restaurant we went to for dinner said their pastry chef had never seen anything like this and was impressed with the level of detail. I would highly recommend this place! The only thing I will say is they are quite sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth, you'll be right at home.

I ordered these cupcakes for my daughter’s 18th birthday based on the beautiful photos on the website. It was a last minute plan, but Bev was so helpful over the phone and she arranged for quick delivery on the morning of our party. The cupcakes were delicious and made a lovely centrepiece. Very easy to serve as well.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying cupcakes from The Sweet Spot on a couple of occasions now, and I have never been disappointed! Bev is not only a fantastic baker (yes, they actually do taste as good as they look), but she is also an incredible artist. The cupcake bouquet (16 pcs) I ordered was beyond stunning… Each piece is such a magnificent work of art, it’s tempting to just sit around ogling them instead of eating them. At least 3 people thought they were actually real flowers, and could hardly believe they weren’t. I’ve already passed along The Sweet Spot’s contact information to a few people, and I can assure you if you order these (they make a spectacular gift), you won’t be disappointed! We ordered a 7 cupcake bouquet with custom colours to match our bride's wedding bouquet and Bev was super kind enough to be able to fit our order in within her fully booked schedule! The cupcakes were wrapped nicely with a cute bow and packaged well to make sure the entire bouquet will be stable. These cupcakes look even more amazing in person and tastes super delicious too! The amount of detail is superb, you won't be disappointed👌

Very nice space for a corporate or social event. It is well lit, grand interior and stylish architecture. The details for the original windows and roof framing are very beautiful!

I photographed a wedding at the Symes and it was the ultimate experience! They accommodated such amazing food stations, room flips, and two cocktail hour time slots! They were so amazing and every single dish was phenomenal! The space was set up beautifully as well!

My daughter and I attended the Mother's Day High Tea on Sunday and it was absolutely delightful.
The Service was great our server was Damilola. He was very attentive to our needs in a pleasant and professional manner.
The assortment of goodies and teas was beyond our expectations.
God willing and it's scheduled next year we will be there.

The Symes hosted our wedding earlier this month and we couldn't have been happier we chose this location. The space is absolutely gorgeous; with it's exposed brick and art deco design, it has to be seen in person to truly appreciate it's beauty & uniqueness. The venue also has an amazing rooftop terrace that offers picturesque sunset photos.

But what really makes The Symes exceptional are the people who run it. Namita and her team were incredibly accommodating with all our special requests and really made us feel like we were the most important clients they have ever had. The evening was stress-free and that's a testament to how well they took care of every detail.

Avoid at all costs.
Booked a multi-country trip months ago, including Morocco. My agent repeatedly assured me no visa was required to Morocco, right up to the night before departure. At the airport I was denied boarding because I did indeed need one. When I called her, she had a very nonchalant attitude.

We had to cancel our flight and ended up taking an uber back home to regroup. We had to restructure a part of the trip which she did not make easier, not very helpful, (can’t do this, unable to do that) what she should have been doing is going above and beyond to fix it considering it was her negligence and incompetence that caused this mishap, (I have accepted my share of responsibly for trusting her and not doing my own due diligence) but being a travel professional in this business for so many years I blindly trusted her. We had to wait two extra days to fly out “due to costs” she said, when she rebooked the flight we ended up getting downgraded from Premium Economy to Economy, not sitting together on our flights b/c she said that would incur additional costs smh and only able to take one suitcase instead of the two each we initially planned, and biggest disappointment of all was we missed out on our opportunity to visit Morocco. We also had to book our own hotel b/c she was unable to “find” any reasonable accommodations, it was one reason or other and on top of all that we have to find our own transfer to hotel in Lisbon. No above and beyond. Totally incompetent, was not able to resolve this in a satisfactory fashion. Zero accountability, no sense of urgency, and an unhelpful and poor attitude on top of it.

This company does not care about their clients. Trip already planned so bottom
line is she is getting her commission. This agent dropped the ball and we ended up paying for it. I would not recommend them to anyone. An overall awful experience: Save yourself the stress and money—RUN, don’t walk and book elsewhere.

My wife and I hadn't vacationed as a couple since our honeymoon in 1997. Trips had always included the kids. When we decided it was time, I was lucky enough to see Alison Ebbs - The Travel Agent Next Door, name in a facebook feed speaking very highly of her consulting skills, so I reached out. Not knowing what to expect, what we were getting ourselves into or where to start, Alison took the helm, interviewed us, listened, suggested and curated a European adventure to our exact needs. The planning, booking, buying, checking and rechecking of details were all handled by Alison. We left for our trip with nothing but excitement for the adventure ahead, and none of the worry. Alison checked in on us before, during and after the trip on many occasions, just to make sure all was going as expected. We couldn't have had it any better. I approached Kirsten at my church and found out she was an agent. Was a match made in heaven, excuse the pun, as I told her what I always wanted to do, which was travel in the Rockie Mountaineer. She had done the trip herself, and it went gang buster's from there.
I had THE best experience of my life in this trip. No expense sparred as I wanted to have it all, and she gave it to me.

Beautiful through Ontario, flat through the Prairies, except for those humungous grain cathedrals lol, and then into Alberta and the mountains.
Jasper was a mixed blessing , sad to see the area scorched, but thrilled to already see green pushing up through the blackened soil. Animals back and the people were just wonderful and treated me with the utmost respect and vice versa. The Mountaineer cannot be explained as it must be experienced as photos do absolutely no justice to reality.
Ended up in paradise on Salt Springs Island.
Oh...my...Lord. I had been jettisoned into a magical world of rainforest and hippies. Very laid back atmosphere and attitude. Live off what the land hath provided.
And the best of all was whale watching...13 Orcas and 4 (that I saw) humpbacks. One Orca came up to the back of the boat and along side.... enormous creatures.

Buffy helped me SO MUCH, and I highly recommend her as an agent. I was totally lost with researching a wellness vacation in a tropical destination, and she gave me loads of great options including yoga retreats!

I just stayed at the University Club of Toronto. First, the location is in easy walking distance to most downtown things including great restaurants and activities. The service included a nice continental breakfast. The in room coffee machine was awesome. The staff was incredibly professional and polite. The property was well maintained and very quaint and comfortable. They had many activities for signup. The bed was so comfortable. I slept like a baby even in a downtown area. Highly recommended.

We recently hosted our wedding at the University Club of Toronto and they were absolutely incredible to work with. The food was five star, the venue is stunningly beautiful and the staff went out of their way to help us at every opportunity. They made us and our guests feel so welcomed and as though none of our requests were too big or small. Each and every staff member we dealt with was kind, helpful and professional.

We recently became members of the University Club of Toronto, and also hosted our wedding reception at the Club. As younger members of the Club, we've loved seeing the energy and events hosted at the Club - it's been such a great way to meet Torontonians and enjoy an absolute gem in the middle of the city.

Our wedding was the most perfect night - the entire Events team and staff at UCT went above and beyond to ensure that our reception was flawless. They helped us through the planning process, were extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, and the hospitality was just off the charts.

We've received nonstop compliments on the entire evening - the incredible beauty of the Club, the intimate setting for our reception, the service was spectacular, and most complimented was the food!! Our cocktail hour and the delicious quality of dinner have been the talk of our guests! We even had a few out of town family and friends stay at the hotel at the Club, which made the experience even better.

We cannot recommend the Club enough for any private function, wedding or otherwise, and really encourage other Toronto residents to consider joining as a member. You'll meet wonderful individuals, benefit from amazing amenities and events, you'll gain access to reciprocal clubs around the world, and you'll have a delightful space in the heart of the city to enjoy.

Went to a wedding for my cousin. Was about 100 ppl and the food and service was excellent. Unfortunately the ceremony was in the room facing University Ave and you could hear the protestors who are next door out front of the US consulate. Beautiful paintings and the architecture is also beautiful. Great place for small function if everyone lives downtown or is riding a bike

My wife and I hosted our wedding at the UCT this summer. Wonderful experience! Professional service, delicious food, beautiful space. Would highly recommend it as a wedding/event venue for those that enjoy old-world charm and hospitality.

I recently had my baby shower here, and am incredibly disappointed at the lack of organization and communication on behalf of the coordinator. I grew increasingly concerned throughout the planning process, and it all came to a head the day of my event. My mother arrived at our designated time slot for set up to find the space full of people, and when she went in to ask what was going on, the coordinator was not even aware that our event was taking place that day. Somehow my baby shower, which I paid over $1,000 to have at the Vandenberg House, did not make it onto her calendar. Thankfully, after realizing that I had booked well in advance and paid in full, the coordinator ushered everyone out of the space and cleaned up just in time for my mother and friends to set up for the shower. Frustratingly, no apology was offered, and I have not heard from the coordinator at all since the event.

If you still decide to book in at the Vandenberg House despite the risk of working with this coordinator, I would give you one piece of advice in terms of capacity. The capacity for this venue is stated to be 28 people seated comfortably, which is kind of half the truth. This works if everyone is seated for the majority of the event, but if you will have people mingling or walking around, seats and tables for 28 leaves very little room for anyone to walk around. If you are planning an event for which you would like seating, and space to walk around, I would limit your guest count somewhere around 20 people. I had 27 guests (myself included), and everyone was bumping into each other and really struggling to navigate the space as we made our way from our seats to the food table, around for photos, etc.

Good luck! This is a beautiful and cozy venue, so if you're willing to be very diligent about calling the coordinator and following up, it may be worth the risk to book in.

Our wonderful wedding planner, Kimberly from Envision Weddings + Events found the Vandenberg House 5 days prior to our wedding (due to our previous venue cancelling) and we thought it was perfect! Great central location, with an intimate and cozy charm. We had a very small ceremony and reception with 10 people total. Christiane was such a gracious event host, she always checked in and made sure we were comfortable, and she made sure we had everything we needed.

The building is full of histories. The performance in the Chapel with all its surroundings give audiences such a wonderful experience.

I was in this lovely venue for a concert. It was a little difficult to find because signage was lacking. Give yourself extra time to locate the chapel - which is on the second floor. Tip: Just look up to see the stained glass from the ground level.

Great courtyard to enjoy a picnic on. Also, the spot is super secluded so it is a nice getaway from the noise during the summer. Lots of nature trees to photograph if you're a nature lover

Hosted my son’s wedding with 268 guests. The venue was so accommodating and was a beautiful setting for our occasion. David Robin and the staff were amazing in accommodating our needs from makeup space, hair and bridal room to decor and room change over during our reception. Food again was amazing and or guests were so impressed with both the service and the facility.

If you're not familiar with the area, you will get lost. Tough place to find. The venue is okay for a wedding. In house sound system is not that great. Very echoey. In house lights are dim. Looks cold...not cozy. Plenty of parking. Good choice of alcohol selections.

An amazing Venue that can truly be transformed into any event your mind can ponder. The team works tirelessly from conception through teardown to make your night run seamlessly! Thank you!

My husband and I attended with our friend and had the most fun. It was such a unique experience, the actors did an amazing job and the food was great. My husband is gluten free and diary free and they were able to accommodate his allergens. I loved the location. The puzzles were fun and challenging and we were able to save the day! There was a photo booth and it really felt like a wedding.

Great experience and great venue. Actors are fun and the experience is really what you put in is what you get out of it. The food taste is great just was very dragged out delivery and seems to interrupt the experience rather than complement it. Drinks are pricey so you can decide for yourself if it's worth adding for the ambiance - no different than what you'd get at a typical restaurant these days I'm assuming.

"The Wedding Party" at The Old Mills was an experience to remember! I have a deep appreciation for Old Mills, as it’s one of my favorite boutique hotels in Toronto, and the setting added to the charm of the evening.

This event may very well be the greatest collaboration of all time! The combination of a murder mystery dinner with an interactive experience was simply brilliant. I particularly adored the mystery-solving component, which kept us engaged and on our toes throughout the evening.

Our table mates were fantastic. Initially, we were strangers, but we quickly formed a bond as we worked collaboratively to unravel the intriguing plot. It was heartwarming to see couples at our table celebrating their anniversaries, adding an extra layer of joy to the occasion.

The only downside to the evening was that the food did not meet my dietary requests, even after multiple attempts to communicate with the staff. However, the fun and excitement of the event more than made up for this setback.

Overall, "The Wedding Party" at The Old Mills is a delightful experience that combines mystery, laughter, and great company. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique night out!

Pro tip: Be sure to walk around the hotel, there may be music and party happening that you can twirl and dance to!

Working with Wild Pansy for our wedding was an absolute dream! Deanna brought our vision to life with the most stunning, organic-style arrangements. Beyond her incredible talent with flowers, Deanna is also a lovely human and so down to earth. She was so patient and listened carefully to our ideas and understood exactly what we were aiming for. She bared with us through our annoying follow-up questions/emails/calls and was always happy to answer them. She has such a calm, positive energy and made the planning process feel easy. So many of our guests commented day of and even weeks after on the flowers and how gorgeous they were. She’s also environmentally conscious (no floral foam, uses local growers, etc.) and made recommendations on how we could reduce some of the waste – for example using pre burnt pillar candles along our bar, which looked amazing and saved us money.

If you’re looking for a florist who creates breathtaking, natural arrangements and is also an amazing person to work with, we cannot recommend Wild Pansy enough.

What she created for us was beyond anything we could have dreamed of & the experience with her start to finish was so professional & special! I've been following this business for years and when I got engaged I was excited reach out to The Wild Pansy because I knew that the unique and beautiful floral designs would elevate the entire event. Deanna was very professional and had great communication and was able to work within my budget to create beautiful designs. She also offered many creative suggestions to reduce costs and to re-use the flowers. We offered the flowers to guests as a wedding favor at the end of the night and all the flowers were taken home. We got married in August 2022 and we had the most amazing florals thanks to The Wild Pansy! From beginning to finish the service we got from Deanna and her team was incredible. Deanna created this very detailed vision board outlining the recommended style for each component of the wedding (Chuppah decor, bouquets, centerpieces, etc.). She has a great artistic eye for flower combos, all we really gave her was a preferred colour palette and a budget! She provided very clear pricing and details and has ideas for how to reuse different pieces to meet the budget and create less environmental impact which we loved! The end result was absolutely beautiful. It’s a year later and I still think about the lovely florals at our wedding. I would recommend The Wild Pansy to anyone :)

This place is an absolute gem. I wanted a flower arrangement done for my spouse, and I went here for the arrangement. I discussed the flowers I liked with the owner, together with the vase, and throughout the day, the owner texted with me, sending me pictures to coordinate on the final result. Who would do that nowadays! The result was incredible, but the service was even better. This place is worth every penny.

I am so excited to have The Zoo Flowers in the neighbourhood. The floral arrangements and flower selection are all beautiful! I bought a small bundle of ranunculus just about 2 weeks ago and they are still thriving! Exceptional flowers and wonderful customer service! :)

I bought a few bouquets for special occasions from Theresa when she opened up The Zoo Flowers in our neighbourhood. I was so impressed by her work that we got to speaking about my wedding.

While Theresa was relatively new to doing flowers for weddings, I decided to take a chance and hired her to do several big installations at our wedding, including our flower arch, an arrangement above our table and flowers at the entrance.

Theresa and her partner Eszter completely blew us away with what they created. They started their work EARLY and stayed the entire day to create an incredible display of gorgeous flowers. They were professional and coureous and had amazing communication keeping us in the loop as they completed each project. I would have thought they were doing wedding installations for years based on what they created.

Chef Andrey was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, he was incredibly prepared and professional. This was a gift for my sister and her fiancé, and the proposal he put forward was so appealing. Absolutely incredible experience with Chef Andrey!!!!!

My sister graciously gifted us the in-home chef experience, and we were blown away by the preparation, thoughtfulness, and detail that went into every single plate.

Chef Andrey wasn’t just incredibly knowledgeable, he shared his insights and learnings with us so patiently, making the evening feel both intimate and educational.

We started with the airiest pastry and duck appetizer, delicately finished with candied zest. Next came the freshest salad (with imported fruits and veggies!!) and cozy warm homemade focaccia (Tbh I’m still dreaming about it 😍)

For our mains, we indulged in layered coin potatoes with THE BEST truffle sauce I’ve ever had (and he was kind enough to give us some for the week!! But boy do I need this recipe, I am addicted!!!!), a rich risotto with red meat and bone marrow, and Absolutely incredible experience with Chef Andrey. My sister graciously gifted us the in-home chef experience, and we were blown away by the preparation, thoughtfulness, and detail that went into every single plate.

If you’re looking for a caterer or an in-home chef experience, I can’t recommend Chef Andrey and his team enough. It’s like having a Michelin-starred dining experience in the comfort of your own home!!!

Incredible experience for a group of 10 girls at a bachelorette held at a cottage. Chef Andrey was very kind and accommodating from the start of the booking process, when our group details were uncertain. He was extremely flexible, more than I ever would have expected.

The charcuterie board and all food was incredible and was so plentiful, all very much exceeding our expectations. He and his team also provided great service and cleaned everything up/stored things beautifully.

I cannot recommend him enough - I will certainly be keeping him in mind for future events! Thank you Chef Andrey for a memorable night for me and my friends!

We had a small group of people to celebrate a 50th birthday. Chef Andrey was very accommodating right from the start. He made menu suggestions that allowed people to have more variety and that was great. He introduced himself and the server, Vasile, and told us about all the food he had made. They came in and used the kitchen and then left it cleaner than earlier!!

We hired Andrey for my husbands birthday- an intimate dinner with 3 couples. This was by far the most spectacular evening and chef experience we could have asked for. We have hired chefs in the past but he really knocked it out of the park! The food was unbelievable and my guests have still been talking about it 2 days later. The professionalism, kindness and overall personality make Andrey really stand out and a chef we cannot wait to host in our home again. I would recommend Andrey for all and any occasions - 10/10!

We had our wedding at Three Feathers Terrace on September 12, 2025, and it was truly the most perfect day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—so many of our guests told us it was the best wedding venue they had ever been to! From the breathtaking ceremony moongate and beautiful grounds to the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows and sparkling chandeliers, every detail created such an elegant, unforgettable atmosphere.

The bridal suite was amazing and made the morning so special and stress-free. The bar served incredible drinks that our guests couldn’t stop raving about. The staff were beyond wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and they made us feel so important every step of the way. We also received endless compliments on how organized everything was.

A huge thank you to our venue coordinator, Vicki—she was absolutely perfect to work with and ensured the day ran seamlessly. It was such a sweet surprise to find out we even share the same wedding anniversary with her!

We honestly could not have asked for anything better. Three Feathers Terrace is a dream wedding venue, and we will be forever grateful we chose it for our special day.

Absolutely stunning venue! The grounds were immaculate, and we got so many incredible photos. The staff - especially the bar team - were amazing, and everything went off without a hitch. One of the things we loved most was the flexibility: we could set up the tables, dance floor, and stage however we wanted. Rebecca, who co-owns the venue and was our day-of coordinator, was incredible - super responsive, accommodating, and an all-around amazing host. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate!

We absolutely loved this venue. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the facilities first-class — all set in a tranquil, picturesque location. The main events building, where we enjoyed dinner and dancing, opens beautifully to the surrounding grounds and features a spacious patio with a stunning stone fireplace that made the evening feel extra special.

My son, who has attended many weddings, remarked that both the facility and the food were the best he has ever experienced. That says a lot!

We got flowers for our wedding from Thyme Studio & so many of our guests complimented us on the arrangements. Wonderful experience at the store. Laura was very helpful in deciding the best design and options within my budget. She is knowledgeable and helped to get the best value. I was looking for engagement rings and found the perfect one for my partner. They have free engraving on the box and on the ring as well. The ring I wanted was in Vancouver and they got it here within a day. All the staff were super nice. You really get the treatment and experience and the brand you pay for. Thanks Laura!!

Please go here instead of Yorkdale. Went to exchange a necklace at Yorkdale and they brushed me off and said they can’t don’t do it even tho I got it a week ago. Came to this location and they were very understanding and was very helpful with the exchanging. Laura was amazing and very helpful!
