Writing this a year after my appointment at Grace Loves Lace, and I still think about how great the experience was. Asana was the best—super friendly and made me feel really comfortable. She encouraged me to try on a bunch of different styles, which was so helpful. I ended up choosing the Carmen dress with the Lumi veil for our destination micro wedding, and it was perfect. The dress was super comfy, flattering, and just felt like me. Honestly loved everything about it!

I had such a lovely experience at Grace Loves Lace! Although I was hesitant to try on dresses for the first time, Asana made me feel extremely comfortable and welcome. We were offered tea or bubbly upon arrival, which was a lovely surprise! The atmosphere was calming and the store was very clean. Although there's not a massive selection of dresses, it made the experience less overwhelming. If you are trying on dresses for the first time, or are a bride looking for a simple and comfortable dress, I would certainly recommend checking out Grace Loves Lace. Thanks again!

I had such a wonderful experience at Grace Loves Lace with Jazz as my stylist. I felt so warmly welcomed when I entered the salon with my mom, and was ushered into my change room, where I was offered a glass of bubbly, and had the cutest welcome message written on the mirror.
Jazz took her time to understand what I was looking for and what my vision was, and took her time explaining how the appointment would work.
Jazz made me feel so beautiful in the dresses that I tried on, and was very receptive to my feedback. I loved that they have a variety of sizing in the salon, so no clips were required and you can clearly visualize what you really look like in the dress.
We didn’t feel rushed at all - we had a one hour appointment booked but ended up being there for 1.5 hours with no issues.
While I ultimately did not buy my dress here, it was one of the best shopping experiences during the process and I did love the dresses.
Would highly recommend Grace Loves Lace and Jazz to all future brides!

My husband and I chose Grace Loves Lace for my wedding dress for our July 2024 wedding and couldn't be happier. The entire experience, from start to finish, was the best I've ever had. The body-positive atmosphere, exclusive use of the space, and champagne made it feel so special. The girls were incredibly supportive and clearly love what they do, without any pushy sales tactics. The dress itself was of incredible quality, and everyone is still talking about how stunning it was.

Okay first of all, the aesthetic of this showroom is absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t get enough. You are treated so special here, the stylists attention is completely on you and they want to make sure you absolutely love the dress. I have visited numerous bridal shops and this is the first shop that took the time to take my complete measurements for their system in case I order made to order.
I worked with Farrah and Yasmine and they truly felt like friends by the end of the appointment, they were so kind, knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable.
I traveled a few hours to come here and am so darn glad I did. The dresses are all 10/10 it was hard to decide because I love them all. They make sure the dresses you try on actually fit so you’re not clamping the dresses. And the fabric of the dresses?! Omgsh they are so comfortable! I can’t wait to decide and order my dress for my wedding 🤍

My daughter and I had such a lovely experience at this beautiful bridal shop, thanks to the amazing Rina! She is incredibly sweet, helpful, and truly had my daughter’s best interest at heart—not something you see often in sales! There was zero pressure, and it was clear she genuinely cared about helping Krystal find her dream dress! Rina’s kindness and professionalism is really rare in this industry! I get married in October and my experience has been nothing short of absolutely amazing. From the minute I called Ivoire in 2024 (from Winnipeg!) and was connected with Rina, I knew it was going to be *the* place to say YES to the dress!

Not only did I find my DREAM dress at Ivoire, I was treated like family from our very first connection. When I brought in my friends and family to try on dresses last July, we were met with such kind, warm service. I then went back to Winnipeg until recently moving to Montreal and through the entire year Rina kept me sane - whether it was talking me off the ledge about if my dress was going to be the right size when we ordered it, to keeping me in the loop and video calling me when it arrived because I couldn't be there in person, Rina really went above and beyond!

Yesterday, I visited Ivoire for the final time and picked up my dress. Luda did an AMAZING job with the alterations as requested and I couldn't be more excited to walk down the aisle in October.

It has taken me far too long to write this review, but I am so excited to finally share my experience with the amazing team at LoversLand Toronto.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen countless stunning bridal looks, which made choosing my own wedding dress feel overwhelming. I didn’t have a dream dress in mind, nor did I know what would suit my body type best. After visiting three other bridal shops without success, I walked into LoversLand feeling unsure but hopeful—especially since so many of my previous brides had raved about their experiences there.

To my surprise, I found my dress on my very first visit! The team guided me through multiple options within a style I absolutely fell in love with, and to make it even more special, the gown was from LoversLand’s very own bridal line. Knowing that my dress was designed and made locally in Toronto by such talented creators meant so much to me. The fit was impeccable—like it was made just for me—and the quality and craftsmanship of the fabric were exceptional.

I had a great experience shopping for my wedding dress at Loversland. The customer service was helpful and knowledgeable during both visits. I chose an off-the-rack style that was exactly what I was looking for, although it wasn't on the shop floor, so I recommend checking their website for more inventory. They honoured the online discount in person for me.

My bridal stylist, Tayler, was super thoughtful, really took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and helped me find a dress I love. Couldn’t recommend her or her team enough!

I had a fantastic experience at this boutique! It was my last bridal shop and I ended up picking my dress here. I loved their selection, so many dresses that have some personality. I wanted a dress that would be simple but with some beautiful details and I found it right away. I even had custom sizes put in for each section of the dress so when it came in the alterations were easier. They also suggested 3rd floor tailors as the seamstress, which was a FANTASTIC recommendation. Couldn't be happier with my choice. All the staff were so kind and nice to work with.

She really took the time to understand what worked best for my body and made the entire process feel easy, fun, and completely pressure-free. I felt so supported throughout the appointment and am thrilled to have found my wedding dress here.

This bridal alterations place is the best! My vest came back by another dry cleaner and one of the buttons had totally fallen off. I was in a panic as I had to leave for a wedding in half an hour.

I lost around 25 lbs, but my work scrubs looked terrible on me. I looked like a kid wearing their parent clothes to play dress up. My mom has always come here for anything needed, so I did the same. She perfectly altered almost 20 scrub tops in a week for an amazing price too. Anytime the subject comes up I’m the first and quickest to recommend going there. It’s the only place I trust altering my clothes, I live a 20 minute drive away and I still go there because I know they’ll look great. There are also beautiful gowns as well, but I can’t give much of an opinion other than they’re gorgeous. I just haven’t had the need for a new gown yet, but if/when I’m ever in need of one, this will be my first stop.

Amazing work. I called around to several seamstress shops and this was the only one who said she could make the dress bigger. We picked up the vintage wedding dress yesterday and we could not be happier with the workmanship! Beautiful, beautiful work! My daughter is going to look so lovely on her special day, and wearing her grandmother's dress! Complements to the incredible work done by this sweet lady. 5 stars. Muah! Thank you!

I needed to have my wedding dress altered quite a bit so was nervous about finding the right person to do the job. From the moment I walked in, Branka and Mila took complete charge - they thoroughly explained every bit of altering they had to do, offered suggestions and understood my questions and concerns. I knew right off the jump that they knew exactly what they were doing. I felt completely comfortable and trusting of them. I loved my dress when I purchased it but I love it even more now! Their work was truly remarkable and I can’t thank them both enough for making my experience so effortless and fun! Branka even suggested a veil which I ended up purchasing - it was the perfect touch to my dress. I HIGHLY recommend Smart Bridal. I will be a returning customer for all of my future alteration needs. I went to Smart Bridal because I need some garment samples made from pattern. I would have to say that Debbie is a master dressmaker, her sewing skill is top notch, she's meticulous and super professional. I will definitely be using her service again and would recommend her to anyone looking to get quality work done.

Some of the staff was really rude and when trying to ask a question , getting responses that made me feel like I was stupid for asking. Furthermore, I was starting to feel untrusted in the store when I had them falling me over because I was lost on what I needed but didn't dare ask them for help any longer. I believe they were quick to judge people. And made a point of letting a person know when your not wanted in their store. Worst experience ever coming from a small town that o would normally praise that the small town stores normally give excellent customer service. So anyone looking for those building materials etc just stick to the canadain tire around the corner

I’ve been in a few times and they were very helpful. I went in today to spend $130 and as walked in a young sales assistant told me enthusiastically I had to have my reusable bag at the checkout.! I assume they were pre-accusing me of being a thief which doesn’t leave a great taste in the mouth. Never had any store do this before and not sure why I was humiliated at the entrance when I was happy to support a local store. Will not be going back.

The guy in charge of closing the store at this store location on August 26, 2025 at 7:54pm, should be retrained in customer service. I approached to enter the store at 7:54pm and he could not let me in because he felt I was too late and the store was closing in 5mins. I have gone to other stores like Walmart and just a minute before closing and they have let me in. I am very disappointed by this treatment. I have had very pleasant experience shopping at this store in the past and really treated well by other customer associates, but this fella's understanding of good customer service leaves much to be desired.

She gave suggestions for alterations to make the dresses look and fit the way I envisioned. This was my first dress appointment and I found the one. This was such a wonderful experience—I’ve already told everyone who would listen about it! It’s the perfect option for women who need multiple dresses for a wedding season. The staff are kind yet give you space to browse on your own, which I really appreciated. The selection of colors, styles, and options feels endless. The fitting rooms are spacious with long mirrors, and there’s comfortable seating for anyone you bring along. The space itself is beautiful, and with amazing coffee shops nearby, it makes for the perfect “successful dress-finding day” outing.

I had an amazing experience with the Fitzroy! I flew to Toronto to attend a formal wedding at a beautiful estate venue, and knew I wanted to try renting a dress here after having followed their Instagram for a few months. I tried on a number of dresses 2 days before I was set to pick up my rental, and every employee was so nice, thoughtful, and helpful (despite accidentally keeping them a few minhtes past close)! I fell in love with 2 options and kept flip flopping between them. The employees let me know that I could choose one but have the other also on my file in case I decided to change. I emailed and changed to my backup option 1 day before pick up, and that wasn't a problem. On the day of pick up, I goggles what formal wedding attire is and the venue of the wedding, and realized my initial choice was the far better option. I called them a few hours before pickup to see if I could change back, and it was not a problem at all. They just did not have the 48 hours to do a full dry clean, but they did get to doing some cleaning before I picked it up. Everyone was so kind, understanding, and eager to help. I promised them a good Google review upon pick up, so I'm finally doing that! I felt like such a pretty princess, this was definitely such a worth it experience. Thank you thank you THANK YOU the Fitzroy team for all that you did for me! Next time I'm in Toronto for an event, I am definitely coming back. 🥰

I've been going to The Fitzroy for all my dress rentals for YEARS and it honestly just gets better and better. Their new studio is an absolute dream! Most recently, I rented my bridal shower dress which was VERY comfortable and stretchy - I had to size down from a large to a medium, but it was still roomy enough that I could've gone down to a small. I stuck with a medium because I'm larger in the bottom half. I got so many compliments after wearing the dress to my bridal shower this past weekend, especially with the low back. I wish I had another occasion to wear the dress to, it's that good.

I've also included some photos of my fave rentals over the past years! The Fitzroy does a great job of keeping their collection of dresses very current, so some of these dresses may not longer be available to rent. They also have accessory rentals too! And if you don't want to make the drive to return your dress, they have an option to return your dress for a small fee via mail.

Rented the most gorgeous pink sequin dress from The Fitzroy for a wedding and I’m still not over it! The sparkle, the fit…all chef’s kiss. I felt like a total star all night and got so many compliments, I lost count. The rental process was smooth and the service was amazing! All the ladies at the Fitzroy were and made the process stress-free (even though I went in the morning of the wedding…very last minute but still came out with this gem!). This dress made me feel unstoppable. Highly recommend if you want to turn heads and feel fabulous!

Fitzroy messaged me a few months ago and asked me how my rental was. I can't say enough wonderful things , from the service my friend and I received, to the girls that work there, and the dress itself. I was the maid of honour at my best friend's wedding, and this romper exceeded everything I could have imagined. I couldn't stop pulling out my party tricks of the night. Which included: the surprise that wasn't a dress and it had POCKETS! The pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy

Whyte was the very first bridal boutique I visited, and from the moment I met Francesca, I knew I was in the best hands!! Having my wedding dress created by Whyte Couture was the best decision I made! From the very first appointment I was sold and knew I was in good hands. They were able to work with my budget and create my dream dress. The entire process was a dream, watching the dress come together appointment after appointment is truly a special experience. Jacyln & Francesa were so creative, their attention to detail is amazing, and they are just so kind. I had been walking by their window for months, so when I got engaged Whyte was my first and only go to. I was on a tight timeline and unsure if I would be able to make anything work. Francesca took one look at me and went into the back and pulled out the most stunning dress. Her attention to detail during the fittings ensured that the dress was perfect the day of. I had the most incredible experience at Bridalane thanks to Lisa! She helped me find my wedding dress, and I couldn't be happier! Lisa's knowledge of the dresses was astounding — despite the huge selection, she knew exactly which ones would fit my style and preferences.

What really stood out to me was her patience and understanding of my tight budget. Lisa never once made me feel uncomfortable about it; instead, she worked hard to find options that not only matched my budget but also made me feel special. Her attention to detail and dedication to making sure I was happy with my choice truly made all the difference.

It might be important to note that I had gone to ~several~ other bridal shops and the experience elsewhere was far from enjoyable. Bridalane was a game changer for me and I highly recommend it!

Lisa was wonderful to work with, she was so knowledgeable and never once pressured me into buying (in fact, encouraged me to look more because I was pretty set in what I liked lol) Jeff and Lisa have made such a friendly, stress-free environment and I can't recommend them enough!

Wedding dress shopping can be quite stressful but then i found Bridalane! Lisa was so easy to work with and so helpful. I never felt pressured or rushed. I had the most incredible experience at Bridalane thanks to Lisa! She helped me find my wedding dress, and I couldn't be happier! Lisa's knowledge of the dresses was astounding — despite the huge selection, she knew exactly which ones would fit my style and preferences.

What really stood out to me was her patience and understanding of my tight budget. Lisa never once made me feel uncomfortable about it; instead, she worked hard to find options that not only matched my budget but also made me feel special. Her attention to detail and dedication to making sure I was happy with my choice truly made all the difference.

It might be important to note that I had gone to ~several~ other bridal shops and the experience elsewhere was far from enjoyable. Bridalane was a game changer for me and I highly recommend it!

The absolute best place in toronto to get going out outfits and vacation clothes. It’s the only place I can go to and find multiple options that fit well and look great. Last night I had other incredible experience at CityLux Boutique, and I can’t recommend this women’s boutique enough! I was in a bit of a panic, needing to find a different dress for my son’s wedding with only 25 minutes to spare before they closed. As soon as I walked in, the owner, Sunan, and the manager, Samara, were absolutely amazing. They immediately jumped into action, pulling a selection of stunning dresses for me to try. Their expertise and kindness made all the difference, and they found me the most beautiful gown that I felt amazing in. The people working there truly have a gift! I had tried on dresses at one other location before and this experience was far superior. I showed her the dress I was considering from the other location, as well as my Pinterest board - and she did the rest!

I was able to enjoy quality time with my mom, sister & grandma while she provided different options, listened to my feedback and helped me find the perfect dress.

We discussed alterations needed (I bought off the rack) & she had excellent recommendations for me in Lethbridge. I could not recommend this place more!

I went in for my first bridal appointment today and had such a wonderful experience. Tara was an absolute delight to work with. I went to a few bridal stores and this one was by far one of my & my friends favourites. They have a great selection of dresses & their kindness and warmth makes the experience so positive. Tara helped me for my appointment and she was absolutely stellar. She used to be a seamstress which made the whole process even better because of her expertise. But what stood out the most is that she is an absolute gem of a human being! She was so kind and made me feel so comfortable during a process that can be somewhat vulnerable at times!
That being said, everyone I interacted with went above & beyond!

I got my wedding dress from David’s Bridal, and the moment I saw it, I knew it was the one. After trying it on, I decided to make a few changes—transforming it into an off-shoulder gown with removable straps, giving me three styling options: off-shoulder, with straps, or strapless. The alterations team at David’s Bridal made this possible through several appointments, and they transformed my dress beautifully. On my wedding day, it fit flawlessly and perfectly captured the elegance I had imagined. I am truly grateful to the alterations team for their skill and dedication in making my dress both dreamy and stunning.

My bride tribe (including flower girls) and I went to try on dresses. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. I did try on 3 in total and turned away 1. My girls looked fabulous. The bridal party is wearing a beautiful Red Corset dress (they didn’t have the right colour to try on but the bright dress). They look very gorgeous and sexy. The flower girls look so sweet and angelic in their sweet white dresses and veils. I love my dress and feel like a princess (I’ve been given tons of compliments).
The staff were friendly and helpful. Our appointment was from 1:30-3:30pm but we did go over by about 2 -ish hours by the time we got out of there. We got to look at dresses and we told them the ones we liked and consultant grabbed the ones we liked in our size. We even took her thoughts as well. Everything was simple and easy. There was a bit of a technology problem when cashing out (they got it figured out quickly). They have a large selection of shoes/footwear at a great price point. I highly recommend. I did get to speak to the seamstress and prices seemed reasonable from the quote I was given. This review is solely based on my initial interaction with them. I will add more reviews when the bridal parties dresses come in and when we do alterations.
My first experience I would give a . 10/10. We all had a good time and created some amazing memories. Was also offered water too. They were very accommodating.
Staff were professional and calm. They also would joke around and have a fun charismatic atmosphere.

I was really happy with the purchase of my bridesmaid dress, and I thought the price was reasonable, but when it came to the alterations which were almost double the cost of the dress I was pretty shocked. I was even more surprised when the dress was way too tight to the point of pain and the cups that I paid to have sewn in … the stitches didn’t stay. I’m thankful I took off the fee for steaming because I didn’t even have to. I was really happy with the purchase side of the entire experience, but not the alterations. I have another wedding coming up that I’m a bridesmaid in again and I will potentially be buying my dress from here, but will definitely not get my alterations done there!

I recently came here to get a dress for my friend’s engagement, and I found a beautiful black and white dress that was exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments on it and people asking me where it was from. The worker helping me was so nice and patient in helping me find the right dress that I wanted. She also found me a perfect hijab to match it. Amazing customer service and such good quality. Would definitely recommend.

Such a beautiful store and the owners are so lovely and accommodating. Heba and her daughter did a wonderful job showing us different dresses and sizes and made the whole shopping experience really enjoyable. Prices are reasonable compared to other stores and they have so many great modest dresses. Definitely worth it to come by here!

They have a very unique, beautiful and modern designer clothes, party & prom as well as wedding dresses but expensive. Staff are nice and the shop is well organized. Personally I don’t find it very affordable or reasonably priced for rentals: it’s half of the actual price which is still a lot. If the person could afford buying it then why would come to get it half priced?

Received great customer service from Mariam who explained the store layout and made really nice outfit recommendations.

Have had a great experience with Jealous Bridesmaids! I went to three boutiques during my dress shopping experience and it was my favourite. Christine was very helpful and easy to work with and helped me find my dream dress! They have a lot of options and good price points - I was easily able to find something within my budget.

I not only said "yes to the dress" here at Jealous Bridesmaids, but I had a FABULOUS time doing so! It's a comfortable and lovely space they have that has such a great variety and selection of dresses at very reasonable prices! Christine helped me feel comfortable and confident throughout the whole appointment. My bridesmaids and mum also had a great time as we looked at dresses, and danced and did a little "test aisle walk". Super happy with my dress that is also being altered at Jealous Bridesmaids!

They also have some great selections of lovely reception dresses for the brides that want two outfits for their big day!

My first appointment, I tend to be a very indecisive person and there was one dress I really love but didn’t feel ready to say yes to the dress. They didn’t push me and said to take time to think about it. Glad I did because the extra time gave me a chance to make sure I was making the right decision. So for my next appointment, I fell in love with the dress all over again and was I knew it was the one. I just had my wedding August 30, 2024. So many guests complimenting me on my dress and asked where I got it and was proud to say it was from jealous bridesmaid. Thank you Natalie and Charmaine for helping me find my dream dress 💕 👰🏻‍

Note: For alternations, make sure you are able to step backwards without tripping with the dress bustle done up. I didn't do that and noticed it was bit difficult to do my choregraphed first dance due to stepping on the inside of the wedding train. So make sure your bustle is high up enough so that you are not tripping on the back of your dress while dancing.

A wonderful west-end location for wedding/evening dress shopping that offers alterations. Friendly staff members and service were great!

The front door does not do justice to the vast inventory available downstairs at Jealous Bridesmaids! There is so much to see and browse through with several areas of wedding dresses, evening gowns and an accessory section as well. Appointments were seamless as they have a system in place to give automatic notifications to remind brides/guests of their upcoming appointment and protocols to follow.

Alterations were very effortless as well. A staff member will ask when your wedding is and work backwards to ensure your dress is completed in time. You'll be required to come in for two fittings and one final pickup day. The first fitting is to pin up areas and get an estimate for the alteration. The second fitting is to make sure lengths are good and revise if necessary. The third and last fitting is to ensure nothing else is wrong and that your dress is good to go! If you are an external client (not their dress), they will require you to pay in cash.

Emily and Charmaine were two of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They gave me the chance to share my dress options with my dad by allowing me to take the dresses home and try them on. I wanted to deeply and sincerely thank the both of them for helping me find my perfect dress. You both were absolutely amazing. I felt right at home with you two and was so comfortable. I also wanted to thank the seamstress who made sure everything fit perfectly and looked amazing.

If you are looking for something different and beautiful....this is the shop!! Super customer service! Unique designs! Great for conservative customers...but great selection for those who like a bold unique look!!! Have women's, men's and children's clothing! Very competitive and reasonable prices. Great quality! And....as a larger woman I had tons of options! I ended up getting a beautiful coral dress with matching jacket and it had beautiful opulecent gems to accentuate my waist.

Bought my wife a dress from here for her birthday. The service and attention to detail was much appreciated. Highly recommend for a fantastic local business!

What a great park to bring the family to. Nice playground with the soft rubber underfoot, beautiful trees, the serenity of a little lake (no swimming though) a paved trail winds its way around. Of course theres a pavilion, picnic areas, benches are scattered throughout - and of course theres a kid's splash park operating from the May long weekend til Fall! You're only a very short walk from the downtown core with its shops, ice cream parlour, bakery, theater, restaurants...

It's not a bad park took my niece fishing and found out you need to be under 16 or over 65 to fish in the pond. If I would have know that before I would have gone somewhere else. So both of could have done some fishing.

Nice splash park for kids that are a bit bigger. Most of the sprayers are more aggressive in my opinion, so I don't feel they're as nice for really little ones.

I've gone a couple times now at 10:30am and again at 4:30pm, both during the week and it wasn't busy. I'm not sure what weekends would be like though.

This is the Kinsmen park I wish we had in Prince Albert. Clean, well kept and cat. The lovely wife and I stopped for a impromptu walk while passing through and played a little Pokemon Go. Beautiful flowers, clean seating areas and just enough off the beaten path as to be nice and quiet. A wonderful picnic spot or quick walking path to clear the mind.

Great service, very kind and helpful sales people and there was no pressure to buy. Also, there was such a variety of beautiful dresses that we didn’t see in other stores!! Both of my daughters bought their grad dresses here and loved them!! (Photos taken by @viva.lux)

I took my daughter grad dress shopping here, we went to a couple other stores prior. Lily by Lyla had a great selection and even better staff. Matalyn helped us out during our first visit, not only was she knowledgeable she went way and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable and picked dresses that suited her style. That day we didn't pick the dress so we came back for round two. Maroslava helped us and she was also fantastic and just as helpful. They both went beyond our exceptions and had amazing suggestions which made the shopping experience feel at ease. Lily and Lyla has amazing selection, and staff which contrasted other stores we looked at before. The store it self was well organized, very clean and well decorated. It didn't feel cluttered like some other places we went dress shopping. We had a great time shopping here, I will recommend it to everyone I know who is looking to pick out a grad dress.

Jamaica our stylist made the morning magical. My sister came from Toronto to grad dress shop with my daughter. So much laughter and joy. Best time ever.

The perfect store to find your perfect look, no matter how unique or difficult to find it may be.

Lily by Lyla was by far the best store I went to for my grad outfit. The organization of the store was perfect, and I knew where to find exactly what I was looking for (and I got to try on bunches of dresses for fun). They had such a wide selection, and a perfect system for how to go through it to find the perfect outfit.

Yaro was consistently helpful when I was trying to look through, telling me if she saw anything I might like, and the first thing she showed me was exactly what I was looking for. She told me which outfits and brands would be most likely to have my size, helping me deduce what the best option would be for me.

As a smaller person, it’s been pretty difficult finding the perfect thing while also making sure it would fit me (and be practical for my budget), but Yaro and Lyla both helped me so much when I was having those difficulties. I got brand and tailor recommendations, and they’ve offered to look into finding and ordering in some options similar to what I wanted and closer to my size (as to minimize the cost of alterations).

I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to go here. I’ve been given such great advice by the workers at the store, and finding the unique outfit I want feels so much less daunting thanks to the lovely people here. If you ever want something different and hard to find, go here. Even if they don’t have it, Lily by Lyla is the perfect first step to figuring out where it can be found.

I wanted to buy local and have now purchased 2 gowns at Lily by Lila’s. However, our experience was marred by very poor organization/communication hiccups at every turn. Firstly, when the dress order arrived, the store apparently sent us a text to our landline to notify us. Though there was no record of their call on my landline or cell phone. 4 weeks later and no further attempts made, I called in to the store and was told the dress had been sitting there for a month.
When my daughter tried her dress on at pickup, it had clearly not been looked at when it arrived, there was an obvious defect/repair required with the back of the dress, which the store offered to repair free of charge. They provided a business card of a seamstress they said would fix the issue and assured us that they would drop the dress off either that night or the next day.

I made an appt with said seamstress for the following Thursday and came from Okotoks with my daughter to marda loop after school for the appt. I had made 2attempts each to confirm with both the seamstress and lily’s to confirm the dress was delivered. 2 hrs before the appt an employee at Lily by Lila’s confirmed with me the dress had gone out and would be there. It was not.

After many phone calls I was given the explanation that Lila took it to a different seamstress and the employee gave an apology over the phone while confirming it was nothing to do with her and offering nothing to make up for the error. I asked multiple times for the owner to call me. She has not. I was texted afterwards saying:

“ Our boss isn’t available to call right now. And I thought that was where the dress was going to go get fixed so I do apologize on my part but I did also mention that I would message you when the dress was fixed and ready for pickup back in our store.”

Please don’t buy your dress at Lily by Lila. It has been a source of embarrassment and regret for me and I suspect you will be much happier elsewhere. The owner still hasn’t dignified my multiple attempts to contact her with a response.
