I bought my wedding dress at Marianna’s Bridal, and I was so lucky to have Marianna as my seamstress. Over almost 10 months of fittings and alterations, she was there every step of the way—patient, supportive, and incredibly talented. She not only perfected my dress but also helped me choose the most beautiful veil to complete the look. On my wedding day, I truly felt like a princess, and I know I wouldn’t have without Marianna’s care and expertise.

I purchased my DREAM DRESS at Mariana's Bridal store!!! I couldn't be more happy with my entire experience. From the moment I entered the shop to try on wedding dresses until the moment I left the store with my dress to take home, it was nothing but good energy, smiles and such kind, amazing staff. They make you feel like a million bucks! Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and patient. Mariana is such a wonderful lady and she knows her stuff! She altered my dress so perfectly, it fits like a glove. I'm so excited to wear it on my wedding day!!! This place is a Gem! I had a great experience at Mariana's Bridal.

The consultant was kind, listened to what I liked, walked me around the store and let me choose things in my budget.

Because you can't see what dresses they carry online before you go in, I a made a list of dresses I liked from the designers they do carry. She took the time to go through them and find which ones she had in store or similar styles.

Although I did not find my dress here, I would recommend it.

I first came to Mariana’s bridal in November, feeling uninspired after trying on some dresses and just not feeling like myself in any of them. Here, I ended up liking half of two different dresses (each) and Marianna came up with the idea to both of them on at the same time and showed me how she could blend the two together to get exactly what I wanted. We had a 2 appointments to make sure the fit was right and then the length. (Can’t give away too many details since the day hasn’t come yet) Today, I picked up my custom dress and I LOVE it. I’m so happy with the finished product, the ladies here are all wonderful, and it’s been a really great experience from beginning to end. Thank you!

I had my wedding dress altered here and Theresa is an absolute wizard!! She completely reworked the bodice of by wedding gown- front and back and turned it into exactly what I was hoping for and charged me literally half the price I was quoted by other establishments.

This dress used to not be backless and was full of illusion netting. Five stars!

I had a place in mind to alter my Enzoani wedding dress prior to the pandemic because I read they had worked with such dresses, but they closed down during the pandemic! =(

So I rushedly looked for another location in Ottawa with good reviews. In hindsight I don't know why I did Ottawa. Yes we were having our wedding in Ottawa but we lived in Brockville, moving to Gananoque. I guess I just felt there would be better services in a large city.

Theresa took me on and I explained what I wanted with the dress - to be fitted (obviously), and a bustle. I showed her how my dress had an attachment train and the dress itself had little hooks to connect it to.

I scheduled appointments well in advance. I was often coordinating them in conjunction with our other Ottawa appointments regarding the wedding, often taking time off work to come up.

On one occasion I came for my appointment and she said it wasn't done. She looked very upset at herself and said that someone else had lost so much weight and she had a lot on her plate. I get it, but I drove from Gananoque. She asked if I could return the next day. No I could not. It was a very expensive gas drive at the time. I left, defeated, going to try to figure out my life. My husband was in the car and told me to go back and sort it out, at least try it on again to see if I could do our choreographed dance in it. It's a good thing I did? She had found the dress, it was not done but half done? Also, no way I could do our choreographed dance in it so we went out to find a dance dress.

We scheduled an appt for last pickup and she told me that I need to remind her? This is bizarre to me because I don't know why I need to remind you of the appointment you made with me, you are the business. But regardless I put a reminder to myself with all my crazy life to remind her of our appointment the day before the next one.

All in all the dress was done very well. It's an amazing dress so it would have stolen the show either way. However, the hooks for my special attachment disappeared on one part. We found most of them but I think one was lost in the alterations. Would have been nice to have a heads up.

I would work with her again if I were local, but for someone who cannot go through the scheduling hoops I would not recommend.

WARNING Do NOT bring your wedding dress here!!

My alterations were so unbelievably over priced and so poorly done. It almost makes me tear up thinking about it. You could easily tell they were rushed and not completed properly. She cancelled a few of my appointments on short notice and took a lot longer then advised. I didn’t end up getting my dress back until the day before I left for my wedding. It added a lot of unnecessary stress and gave me no time to have anything fixed.

All buttons that were added to my train were either sewed on crooked, or falling off. We had to fix multiple buttons the morning of my wedding. My straps were sloppy and not tight enough. I had to keep pulling them up all night and ended up adding safety pins to keep them in place. I had requested “light” padding be added to the cups. However, she ended up adding +++ padding, which was highly noticeable, especially in pictures and it made the dress super uncomfortable. I had to cut them out half way though the day.

Overall, it was NOT a good experience and I would recommend looking elsewhere for any bridal alterations.

SIX VISITS! My alterations (a bustle, train shortening and going 1 size down) took 6 visits and wasn't ready until 5 days before my wedding when I was asked to provide her with more time, said no and I took it as is. It was a tad tight, the bustle wasn't complete, and she randomly changed the cups between the 5th and 6th visits to MUCH more padded ones, when my others were unpadded. I see all highly rated reviews but none are recent. I should have known. I would like to warn any bride, DON'T DO IT! Working with a seamstress who does not listen or communicate is not what you need with an upcoming day to plan.

Theresa is a master of her craft. She did an amazing job altering my wedding dress, paying great attention to every detail. I felt beautiful and confident on my big day, knowing and feeling that my dress was fit to perfection.

I purchased the Fairview Dress in off-white, and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. When I opened the package, I immediately noticed the dress was damaged before I even unfolded it completely. It was clear that this dress had been purchased and returned by someone else.
Upon unfolding the dress further, I found a small black spot and noticed that the overall quality was very poor. The stitching was not done well, and the dress did not reflect the price I paid—$325. For the cost, I expected much higher quality and care.
To make matters worse, P&F customer service only offered me a 15% discount leaving the final total for damaged goods to be $264. I find this unacceptable given the condition in which the dress arrived.
Sadly, I cannot recommend this dress or the customer service based on my experience.

I was searching for a formal dress for a black-tie wedding and found the perfect one online. Since it was a higher price point, I wanted to see it in person before committing. I reached out via email to see if the boutique had it in store, and they were incredibly helpful and responsive right from the start, and was able to reserve the dress for me.

When I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. They not only had my reserved dress ready but also pulled additional sizes and other beautiful options for me to try. Their attentiveness and genuine care made the experience so enjoyable.

I ended up purchasing the dress I originally had my eye on, and the whole experience just cemented my decision. I didn’t even feel the need to shop anywhere else. The combination of stellar service, gorgeous selection, and a friendly, personal touch makes this boutique an absolute gem. If you’re looking for the perfect dress, this is the place to go!

I was looking for a simple and timeless white dress. Luckily, Park & Fifth was the perfect place for it. I happily walked out with two beautiful dresses off the shelf.

I booked an appointment to have better access to their collection, and it did not disappoint. My group had a semi-private lounge space with a large mirror, and the dresses were displayed right beside us.

Our stylist was attentive and sweet. She was always available whenever I needed help or had a question. What I appreciated most was that we were also given enough space and time to discuss the dresses and make decisions. I felt extremely comfortable throughout the process.

As for the dresses, most of them seemed to be made from soft, flowy fabrics. They don’t force your body into a specific shape, but rather highlight your natural silhouette. Some of the dresses I tried had light boning for added structure, but they were soft and didn’t cause any noticeable discomfort.

I highly recommend this wonderful Canadian-owned business!

I purchased the Rosalie Dress (true sage) in April then discovered I was pregnant in late May. This dress obviously isn’t going to fit for a September wedding so I had to go back to get another dress/size. I tried to exchange the dress with tags on it, never worn and they will not let me know. I even asked if I could just do a size change but they wouldn’t let me do that either. Poor customer service as I committed customer who has bought three bridesmaids dresses this year from them

Not just a one time experience. 5 years ago it took several messages before they finally returned my call. Missed a deadline for a project for my vehicle. I have been calling and leaving messages for the past couple of weeks and have stopped in and not even the courtesy of a call back. If you don't want a job, then at least have the courtesy to call and say so. Hard to support local with customer service like this. I understand from others that not returning calls is quite a common occurrence. Very unprofessional. It takes a lot for me to speak up.

I can’t say thank you enough! Coming from out of town, I found White Satin through a Google search and knew I had to make the trip! I love how easy it was to see so many of their dress options online and on Pinterest - this made me a lot more prepared and excited for my appointment. Domonique was my Stylist and she was amazing, attentive, kind & knowledgeable. She suggested many dress options within my budget, changes I could make to dresses to fit my needs (i.e., straps), and shared stories of her own experiences - all while making sure my own thoughts and preferences about the dresses were heard and prioritized. I was unfortunately disappointed with my experience at White Satin Bridal. I tried on three dresses before the stylist told me they didn’t have what I was looking for. While I appreciated the honesty, I feel it could have been delivered in a gentler way. The vibe felt a bit off, and I left disappointed, especially since my bridesmaids and mother had come a long way to join me.

The boutique itself is beautiful, and I’m sure many brides will find their dream dress here, but in my case I felt like I was wasting their time. This was just my experience, and I wish it had gone differently.

My initial motivation for wedding dress shopping at White Satin Boutique was to support Asian-owned businesses. As fate would have it, it was also the only store in Ottawa that carried dresses by Jenny Yoo, a Korean-American designer. I truly hit the jackpot when I found my dress there in July 2023. The selection of Jenny Yoo gowns was stunning, with so many options that it felt like one of those “can’t go wrong” situations. Dominique, the bridal stylist, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She took the time to understand my style and vision for the big day, addressing my hesitations and providing guidance without any pressure. She is so impressively good at her job in fact that I would argue she knows THE dress for you, even before you know it yourself.

Once my dress arrived in March, I returned to the boutique for a series of minor alterations, all while enjoying the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Shannan was also a pleasure to work with—her friendly, positive nature made every visit enjoyable. Siu, the expert seamstress, helped to ensure my dress fit perfectly and was comfortable enough to dance the night away without worry. I have and continue to receive countless compliments on my gown, and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. I wholeheartedly recommend White Satin Boutique for anyone looking for an exceptional bridal experience!

I just had an incredible experience here at Alliance Bridal finding my wedding dress! Booking my appointment was incredibly easy, and I could even select specific dresses that were ready for me to try on when I arrived! Throughout my appointment, Tania, my consultant, made me feel so at home and comfortable, bringing more dresses that she thought would suit me as well. Even when I couldn't decide between two dresses at the end of my appointment, the whole team was incredibly accommodating and supportive. I ended up returning (twice in two days!) and purchasing my dress, which I unexpectedly fell in love with, for an amazing price! My experience at Alliance Bridal & Prom Boutique was nothing short of outstanding. As brides, we already have so much on our plate (with our fiancés being oh-so-“helpful” with planning 😉) but Alliance took the over thinking and stress out of something with so much pressure around it, Walking into this appointment I honestly had low expectations, my first dress shopping experience elsewhere left me feeling deflated, discouraged, and disappointed, and I was convinced I’d leave empty-handed again.

But Alliance Bridal completely turned that around. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. I usually dread trying on clothes, the constant stripping down feels like such a chore. But to my surprise, I actually had fun. That alone speaks volumes! Even though I had just met my consultant, I never once felt judged, awkward, or out of place. Instead, I felt supported, celebrated, and at ease.

The variety of dresses was incredible, and to my amazement, I found the one. I said “yes to the dress” and the experience didn’t end there. After my appointment, my bridesmaids stepmother and I went downstairs to look at dresses for themselves. To top off an already perfect day, my stepmother also said yes to her dress.

Overall, Alliance Bridal offers phenomenal customer service, an amazing selection, and a truly uplifting shopping experience. Without a doubt, this is the place to go in the area for wedding gowns. I couldn’t recommend them more!

I had such a wonderful experience at Alliance Bridal! The shop had so many beautiful gown options and a great selection of accessories, which made the whole experience feel really special. I originally went in just to browse and wasn’t planning on buying anything that day… but with the help of the lovely clerk, I ended up falling in love with a dress that was the total opposite of what I thought I wanted!

I absolutely loved my experience at Avenue 22. It was the second store I visited as a bride and from start to finish had the most amazing experience with Lulu. She was better than any style associate I could have made up in my mind. She greeted myself and my family with joy and made us all feel very at home. She listened to my likes and dislikes in a wedding dress and allowed me the freedom to roam the entirety of the store and choose any dress that popped out to me. I had a phenomenal experience with Tyler as my bridal consultant! She was the ultimate hype woman and made me feel so confident and my family so comfortable. She was able to pick-up on what styles I was liking (even when i wasn't seeing the trends) and recommended my perfect dress! She was mindful of my budget and only showed me dresses within that budget, she even warned me when a dress was reaching the top end of my budget. Avenue 22 has so many style options and dresses that there is definitely something for everyone. 1000% recommend coming here for your wedding dress!

I had the best bridal shopping experience at Avenue 22 Bridal! I came in not expecting to buy a dress that day ended up leaving with two! Tyler was the most amazing bridal consultant and is a gem of a person. She made me feel so beautiful and truly felt like family by the end. I had gone to another bridal dress store before this one and the difference in my experiences were night and day. Tyler is so great at what she does, I didn’t know what I wanted after trying on only a few dresses at another store but she quickly figured out what I liked and didn’t like. I was able to browse through dresses and pick some that stood out. I ended up picking one of the dresses Tyler chose for me! She truly made the experience better than I ever envisioned.

From my first appointment to my second (circled back to Becker’s after visiting a few others because my experience was so genuine and comfortable). She had answers to all of my questions and really made the whole experience better than I expected. I ended up finding the perfect dress for me here and within my budget. Highly recommend! I had a great shopping experience at Becker’s. They had an excellent selection, especially for a smaller budget (my preferred price range was under $3k). Liyat was so helpful and patient at my appointment, and I never felt like she was pushing me or trying to oversell me. I did end up buying my dress at Becker’s and I absolutely loved the style I chose.

The dress I chose was a Barbra Allin style which is made in-house by Becker’s seamstress (Tulip). Unfortunately — and the reason for the 3-star review — my dress was not made to the standard I would expect for a dress costing over $2000.

My primary issue is that the boning on the bodice was COMPLETELY crooked.

When I went to pick up the dress in store, I felt like it looked lopsided in the mirror but couldn’t place exactly what was wrong. The store employees measured the bodice from the top to bottom on both sides while I was wearing it, and told me it was not lopsided because it was the same length on both sides, and perhaps it just looked that way because of the lighting in the store.

It wasn’t until I went to my first alterations appointment that I realized that the reason the bodice looks lopsided is because the boning (which is visible on the outside of the dress and a main visual element of the bodice) was angled very differently on each side of my torso.

I am not a nitpicky person, but the discrepancy was quite obvious, and I was very upset to see such a major error in such an expensive dress. I ended up spending $1000 on alterations, and my tailor was still not able to make it perfectly even because there was not enough material to spare in the seams of the bodice. It looked a lot better, but it still looks a tiny bit lopsided in pictures and that makes me sad.

While I had a great experience shopping at Becker’s, I could not recommend a dress made by their Barbra Allin brand.

I had a lovely experience at Becker’s. It was the first shop I went to so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were welcomed warmly and guided through what to expect. I was helped with each dress but also felt that I had my own space/not hovered over. There is a good selection of off-the-rack dresses if you need, as a well as a local designer in-house. Prices are super reasonable. Can’t say enough about this place, highly recommend for a bride-to-be to visit!

Getting a wedding dress could be very overwhelming and stressful but Amanda at Beckers Bridal made it such a seamless and perfect experience. She gave me the time, space and support to make a decision. She also paid so much to detail and found the perfect dress for me to try on.

I had a wonderful experience with Château Nadia. The boutique itself is elegant and offers an extensive selection of stunning wedding dresses to suit every style and taste. Nadia is truly exceptional—her warmth, professionalism, and passion for what she does are immediately felt the moment you walk in.

Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to place a custom order and instead chose a gown that required significant alterations. The team handled everything with care and precision. They were highly responsive, incredibly detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exactly what I envisioned.

A special mention to Clara, the Italian seamstress, whose expertise and eye for design made all the difference. She instinctively knew what adjustments would best complement my silhouette and ensured the dress fit beautifully.

Terrible experience at Chateau Nadia. They were running late which was fine, I was happy to wait until I had the salesperson’s full attention. When the girl finally started serving me, she was still finishing up with another client. She was very rude and dismissive. I felt like I was a bother and like she didn’t want to serve me. She also kept complaining about her feet and how they were hurting her. I fount this very unprofessional. Eventually, another girl came to help. At this point, i was unhappy and not enjoying my experience so we walked out. Very disappointed in this store and their employees.

My wife and I honestly felt super comfortable as soon as we walked into this shop! The staff were super nice and accommodating and knew exactly how to treat a Bride to be! Super patient and professional! Highly recommended and reasonable prices too!

From the start, the consultant was rude and dismissive. She kept insisting I try on certain dress styles, even after I clearly said I wasn’t interested in them. When I mentioned my budget was around $2,500, she made a face and said she doubted there was anything in the store for that price, which was both unprofessional and unnecessary.

I also asked if my mom could help me look through dresses, and the consultant responded with, “I’m the consultant, I don’t want other people’s opinions, it’ll make my job harder.” That completely killed the moment.
The dresses I tried smelled like body odour.. which was gross honestly. I feel like the bare minimum would be to have clean dresses..
At the end, we discussed fabric options for a dress, she mentioned having samples but wouldn’t explain them further because, according to her, “it was too complicated and we wouldn’t understand”

Trying on wedding dresses is supposed to be a joyful, memorable moment, something you share with loved ones. Instead, this felt, cold, and condescending. Not at all the experience I had hoped for.

I want to thank David's Bridal for the wonderful experience start to end. From fitting to alterations. The ladies are so personable, kind, and genuinely care about your big day. My only critique would be if possible talk to head office for more support options in alterations for the big breasted girls. Although I still thought my alterations were beautiful I do wish there was more options for support and lift that could have been sewed in. Thanks again Davids Bridal ❤️

I found a gorgeous dress for a destination wedding I will be attending in November. The fashion advisor I had was so patient and helpful. I just happened to walk in without an appointment and was able to fill a cancellation appointment. The dress was perfect with the exception of the length.
I made an appointment with their alterations and the lady that looked after me was very friendly and professional.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from David’s when I first walked into the store but I am so very happy that I did. I would recommend David’s to everyone. I am completely happy with the service the wide selection of dresses The price and the support provided by the alterations department. Everything they said would happen - did happen

We called David's on a VERY snowy(blizzardy) day in Feburary (as we had a very bad experience at another bridal shop) and David's fit us into their schedule. Found outfit on the first try! The seemstress fitted for hemming and outfitted with shoes. The sales girl was right on the first try! Incredible service. Nadeen and Elohor were amazing, friendly, efficient, and accommodating with last minute alterations!

We drove to Calgary from the US to find a prom dress from my daughter. We luckily went to Echo Evenings first. The staff, Luisa was very patient with us. We had to leave their store first to look for some other options around town.

Emanuele and his team were so patient with me and truly made the experience magical. As the mother of the bride, I came to this shop expecting a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime experience for my daughter. Sadly, it was not.

The dress selection was limited to small sample sizes, which made my daughter feel uncomfortable and offered minimal choice. Instead of celebrating her, the owner was judgy and made no effort to create a supportive or inclusive environment. Watching the bride's excitement fade into self-consciousness was heartbreaking.

In addition, the hospitality was nearly nonexistent. When we finally asked for water, a single bottle at room temperature was handed to us — as if two people could share. It felt dismissive and unwelcoming.

This day should have been filled with excitement, support, and celebration. Instead, it was rushed, impersonal, and left us feeling like an inconvenience. I would not recommend this shop to any bride who wants to feel valued, beautiful, and celebrated.

I had the pleasure of buying my wedding dress from Galleria Della Sposa in October 2021 for my June 2022 wedding. I did have other appointments lined up but ended up canceling them because I found my dream dress at my first stop, Galleria Della Sposa. Not only are all of the dresses absolutely gorgeous, they are also really comfortable. Emanuele, Josie and the entire Della Sposa team were so nice and helpful. I had a few alterations done by the Della Sposa team as well and they made sure that I was 100% happy with everything and their attention to detail was very much appreciated. i luv michael! he does great work everytime i see him, have gotten 4 rings reshaped as well as 2 resized. i will always return here! my only concern is that my emerald is now cracked and it was not before :((( i will return of course, not sure what happened this time and hope for at least a refund because of the emerald being broken.

Michael did a beautiful job restoring and resizing my mother's 50+ year old wedding rings! They looked brand new. He was he quick and friendly, and very fair in his pricing. Would definitely recommend supporting this local jeweller!

Michael worked his magic on my husband's wedding band that was lost on a construction site for a month. When his ring was found, it was chipped, scratched and badly damaged. Michael made my husband's ring look brand new. He did such a beautiful job repairing the ring. Michael also fixed my broken chain and cleaned two pendants that are 40 years old, now they look brand new again. Highly recommend Michael.

I have recently had my wife’s engagement ring fixed by Michael at Golden Hands Jewlery in Strathmore after the diamond was knocked out, apparently not a very hard hit but enough to break the arms off. This had happened once before and we’d taken it to the city to be repaired. After a week of having no time to run into the city, I thought that we must have someone in Strathmore, and fortunately I did a quick search and found Golden Hands Jewlery. Michael is an extremely qualified jewler/gemologist, the ring looks absolutely fantastic. He has set the diamond more securely than it was originally, he’s polished it immaculately, just a fantastic job. He took the time to explain his process before doing any work and had it back to me in short order. It is great to have someone in town that does such exceptional work and is a genuinely great person to meet with and have this work completed by. Thanks again Michael for your attention to detail and exceptional work. I will most certainly pay you a visit again for any work I need done!

I got my wedding dress from La Maison Bridal and did my alterations there. All staff were very helpful and supportive. They really helped me pick a dress and gave me enough time and appointments to make a decision. They have a great collection. Prices are very reasonable. I got alterations done there. Very lovely seamstress who is patient and has a great demeanour. She has a great personality and lots of experience. She tried to accommodate my requests while also knowing what works and what does not. I had a great experience and overall would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am shocked by the positive reviews. I would not recommend this boutique to fat brides or any body really. There's maybe 20-30 plus size dresses and they're hidden in the back. The selection was very limited and the dresses barely fit enough to try on so I couldn't really tell if I would like it or if I would be comfortable in the dress even if it were my size. There was one dress the consultant kept wanting me to try on and it seemed like the go-to dress for plus size brides. The consultant also let me try on a dress that clearly stated on the tag only went up to a size 12. When my sister expressed it would be nice to see the dress on a plus size model she told us to look it up online and maybe we could buy it from somewhere else. It was so strange. Anyway, I am very thankful I had a wonderful appointment earlier that day at David's Bridal or I probably would have sworn off wedding dress shopping completely.

Had the best experience at Maison Bridal with my girls. I purchased a $2500 dress that the lady told me had two small holes that would be no problem to fix. Got home with the dress to realize they weren’t two small holes. They were huge holes that I ended up needing to replace the whole back of the dress. The zipper was broken that she also said “oh, you just need to pull it up a bit harder than the other dresses”.
I should have checked the holes my self. I understand but I was so in the moment because I found the dress and she threw my veil on and sent me out to show my ladies the dress that I didn’t even think about checking.

I found MY dress here! I honestly never thought I would have the experience of finding THE dress until I came here. I had seen an Instagram ad with this specific dress and booked my appointment for the next day. The staff is always very lovely. I didn’t feel rushed, and I felt heard. The boutique is also very lovely and in a good location. All in all, I loved my experience and would definitely recommend!

I had a lovely experience dress shopping at La Maison! While I didn't find 'the one', they had a great selection of pretty dresses, an intimate space for me and my group, and even an area with alternate lighting so you can see the dress in different lights. My bridal stylist was super kind, and not pushy.

Nice couple but she really can't do alterations. It's a good, reasonable price to get dresses fitted but she and I talked about doing more than year resizing it. If you just want your dress taken in and hemmed, she can (probably) do it adequately. I also wanted the stiffening layer removed, the straps shortened and adjusted to lay on top of my shoulders (like a tank top; original was a little off the shoulder and really just levitating off of me as it was too big) and a two tier American bustle. She said she could do all of this but didn't deliver. She made decisions without consulting me and when I asked about what we discussed she said it didn't look good and this is the best way to have the dress. She did not remove the stiff layer, she did a French bustle and the straps were just cut which led it to be this almost off the shoulder thing that's just on the edge of my shoulders. Doing that with the straps also made the armpit hole incredibly small. I honestly almost cried when I went to the first fitting - I felt like I was stuffed into a white loofah (with the bustle). I feel that should've been my decision or something we couldn't decided together - she could've called. She could've been honest about her ability if she couldn't do it so I could go somewhere else. I was very upset, which I expressed. She said she couldn't do anything I wanted because it "wouldn't look professional" and "why would you get a big dress if you didn't want it to be poofy". She did however decide to help me redo the bustle to be a 1-tier American bustle. I ended up bringing my fiancé to my second fitting because I was in shambles about how it wasn't what I wanted and I just felt really upset and unheard. We knew it would ruin our "first look" on the wedding day but I just really needed his reassurance because I just felt so terrible at the first fitting and I wasn't willing to wear it on our wedding day anymore. He made me feel beautiful in the dress, not her nor her skills. Ultimately, I wouldn't come here again. She can do hemming and make the dress fit you but if you want any stylistic changes, no matter how small or simple she will not deliver. She may say she can, but enforce her own judgement without consulting you to the point you'll be shocked with the outcome then rebuff your concerns with criticisms on your choice of dress. I wish I went somewhere else so I could've been more comfortable in my dress and had something that aligned more with what I wanted - what I wanted wasn't hard or crazy. It's not entirely her fault that we won't be able to have an authentic "first look" (wedding planning is stressful and this was another thing to go wrong too close before our date) but what she did to my dress certainly contributed. I ended fixing some of the things with one of my bridesmaids but we couldn't do much because there's no more fabric to work with.

I had a wonderful experience at this bridal alteration shop! The owners are so friendly and accommodating, making you feel comfortable right from the start. I bought my wedding dress online, and they expertly tailored the top to fit perfectly in no time. Their prices are fair for the amazing work they do. When I couldn’t pick up my dress because I was sick, they kindly held onto it until I was better. Highly recommend them for any bridal alterations, and they also offer sewing classes! :)

Great dress options at affordable pricing but absolutely terrible alteration services.

Gave a dress i purchased there and paid 120 for absolutely nothing. She literally did double the work and didnt do what she said she would do. She took in the bust area as I said I dont want to reduce from the chiffon straps going up my back but she didn't follow through.

I went for my second fitting after she also got creative adding boning which totally ruined the look of the dress. She kept saying it's the best and no one can do better.

I came to my regular alteration guy and Nimble Needle on Preston and he's charging me the same amount to do what Laysieng said she would do but did NOT do.

Don't do alterations here - she's not a pro and doesn't know the best option and outcome. Buy your dress but take it to professional alterations.

My bridesmaid had the same issue - I'm sure she will leave a review of her own but laysieng completely changed the look of her dressand all she had to do was stick to the minor alterations she agreed to in our first fitting.

Won't be back...that's for sure.

I’m a bridesmaid for my friend who lives 7 hours away. I can’t make it for the group fitting so I called this place and specifically asked them if they carried the dress line so I could try them. I specified that my drive to Ottawa is two hours away and that I’m specifically coming to Ottawa so I can make sure I can get this specific line.

They lied and said they had Dessy Dresses in Velvet. I get there and they have one Dessy Dress and it’s not the right one. All the velvet dresses they have are knock offs of Dessy and theyre more expensive???

She wouldn’t let us take photos and kept hovering and pushing for me to buy a dress that was not the right one… I just bought a house in Renfrew County area. I don’t have money to waste on fuel to drive somewhere for nothing and that’s what I did.

Thanks for nothing and then following me on my way out and saying if I don’t buy now I won’t get the discount on a dress I don’t even want. Thanks for lying to me on the phone when i specifically asked if you had that line and specifically told you I was 2 hours away.

I can’t shake off the feeling that I was extremely ripped off at this store. Sadly, I found the perfect dress here but it was overly priced and I was lied to.
When trying on dresses, they help you make them closer to your size and tell you “oh, but if you like this dress, we can order it on your size” LIES - you don’t get a dress your size nor a new one- just the one who knows how many people have tried before. I think they trick you into getting a dress even if it’s not your size just so you pay a lot using their seamstress to adjust it (which I won’t be doing, I found one of my own).
The manager also is very quick to judge you for your budget. I said I wanted a specific style of dress and what my budget was and her first comment was “you have expensive taste. You won’t find a dress like that in your budget”, then, why am I even here?
Also, BEWARE, they write the price tags BY HAND. I saw how my price tag was at 2.6k and by the time I agreed to get the dress and was doing the paperwork, the tag had been very obviously manipulated to say 2.8k.
I honestly regret getting my dress from them because I feel I was taken advantage of. It’s sad that the dress I loved was from this store.
I recommend you go with a much lower price range than your actual one because they pressure you to buy on your first visit because they offer a discount “only on the first visit”. Since it seems their prices are made up, they help you reach your budget so that you buy with them: LOWBALL THEM!! And maybe you wont get ripped off like I was :)

We had a wonderful experience here buying the Mother of the Bride dress, Sara was so helpful and accommodating, she let us try on as many dresses as we needed to to find the perfect one, she made the whole experience feel special and stress free! Highly recommend coming here for your mother of the bride dress! Besides the great customer services there is a huge selection, with a lot of new models. Also a special shout out to Fatima, who was just as kind and helpful!

Impeccably clean and very well stocked! Everything was neat and easy to find, and I even picked up something to try on my rabbits’ ears. That said, the customer service was lacking — there were two staff members busy making the store look great, but no one said hello or offered assistance even though I was the only shopper.

Self serve dog wash is fantastic! Clean, modern, well stocked, and professionally appointed. $15 flat rate so no stress to rush. Will definitely be making the drive from Chestermere to Strathmore for future dog baths. Great facilities Pet Valu!

The ladies there were wonderful!!!! They were super helpful with making sure my pup had the proper booties to get her paws warm this winter. They are always super friendly and just always an amazing and great experience when I visit the store for my pup!

I love this location and the team there. It is so great to be able to take my dogs there and bath them! It’s amazing that they provide everything to get them clean, and it’s still so reasonably priced.

Purchased a small bag of dog food here and our dog proceeded to be sick for the 3-4 days he was on it. I returned to the store to see if there was anything they could offer but there is not, which is super unfortunate.

I should of stuck with Pet Planet, we had to exchange once before when our dog was a pup and they took it back no questions asked and found us other food.
