From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Our DJ was professional, engaging, and really knew how to read the room. The music selection was spot-on, blending classic holiday hits with upbeat tracks that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. This DJ exceeded expectations at our milestone birthday party. They flawlessly played the music genres we requested and seamlessly accommodated songs on demand. We had an amazing experience at Parkview Manor today! The setup was beautiful, and all the staff were incredibly helpful and responsible. Even though we were short on time, they worked hard and made sure everything was ready before our guests arrived. All the tables were perfectly set up before 12pm, which really helped us stay on schedule. The team was supportive and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I truly loved this place and would definitely recommend it. Looking forward to having more events here and creating more wonderful memories!

Highly recommend Parkview Manor to anyone planning on getting married. I had my whole wedding ceremony and reception there yesterday. The venue is gorgeous and spacious. The food my wife and I selected was excellent (filet mignon was tender, chicken supreme was moist and not dry). Catering and bar service were top notch. John Kioussis was very professional and supportive from the start when we planned this wedding just 8 months ago. He made the day run so smoothly and stress free as if he was our wedding coordinator/planner. He answered all our questions promptly and was very attentive to every single detail. He was also able to accommodate some last minute logistic changes. Our day felt perfect thanks to him and the team at Parkview Manor.

We had our Valentine’s Day dinner here and everything was spectacular! The food was to die for - seriously we loved everything. The drinks were great too. What made it an extra special night is how above and beyond the staff went to make our night memorable. They customized everyone’s menus to include both people’s names so you can take it home as a souvenir, and they took a Polaroid picture of each couple for them to keep. Service was amazing too - everything came out fairly quickly and our waitress was so kind. The atmosphere and vibe was nothing like any other restaurant I’ve been too; it’s hard to describe, looking like you are almost in a house. It’s a huge space with only ~17 tables, making it feel very exclusive. It was my first time here and I would 100% recommend. Hope to visit again in the future!

We recently celebrated a birthday party at Parlor Restaurant, and it was a great experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was eclectic and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a special evening.

The food was absolutely outstanding. The Tuna Tataki was a standout—prepared beautifully with a delicate balance of flavors that melted in our mouths. The scallops were another highlight—perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious sauce that brought everything together beautifully.

Beyond the amazing food, the service truly elevated our experience. Our waiter, Aba, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make the night special.

We are looking forward to returning!

Rather ingenious higher end bistro that really leans into its eclectic aesthetic. Love the interior design and focus on unique dishes/drinks. We tried the tuna tataki which was fine then went with the hen and brisket. Both mains were well seasoned and sauced enjoyably. It's a fancy place and they take care of you well but do expect a finer dining price point.

We went to Parlour with a large group to celebrate a birthday and really had a memorable experience. Our server Allison went above and beyond! The food was delicious, with plenty of crowd pleasing dishes (gluten free options, lots of veg dishes. I loved the number of options they had for zero proof cocktails for those not drinking. The location is stunning!

Planning our wedding at Plaza Vogue has been an incredible experience from start to finish! Years ago, I had the pleasure of working for Tony, and even back then, I was blown away by how beautiful and seamless every wedding he was a part of turned out. I always knew that when it was my turn, I’d want to get married wherever he was and he truly exceeded every expectation I had.
From the moment we started planning, Tony made us feel like we were in the best hands. The service, attention to detail, and care he and Nikki put into everything was beyond what we imagined. The international buffet was absolutely overflowing guests are still talking about how much amazing food there was! Each course was beautifully presented, and the sweet table was a showstopper. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Niki was a dream to work with super responsive, kind, and so easy to communicate with. Any time I had a question or needed help, she was right there with a quick answer.

We have been absolutely loving our experience planning our wedding reception with Plaza Vogue, so far! From the first time we met Tony, he was so welcoming and took the time to give us the experience we wanted while respecting our budget. We just had our wedding here on August 23, 2025 in the farmhouse (60 people) and had a fantastic experience. Our coordinator was Linda and we were so lucky to have her. She was extremely organized, kind and never made us feel annoying for asking questions. We were able to go into our day confidently with her help and attention to detail, she even brought us waters when taking pictures and ensured my train was perfect before walking down the aisle! Our bartender was Ellie and she had amazing energy, myself and our guests loved her.

Multiple people told us this was the best weeding food they've had. Neither the chicken or beef was dry and was truly cooked perfectly. Everything was fresh. The service at dinner was amazing. My friend who was pregnant told me later they even checked with her how she'd like her meat cooked and this made her very comfortable eating the meal.

We had signed on two years prior and leading up to the day they were constantly improving the space (fresh coats of paint, etc.) it was fantastic. Also another small thing I loved is they don't use the standard banquet chairs, they us beautiful cross back wood chairs, so you don't have to worry about chair covers, etc.

Everything was fantastic and would certainly recommend having a wedding here!

The venue is stunning, the grounds, the rustic charm, and the atmosphere made it feel magical. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that the day was stress-free for all of us. Beautiful event centre located among natural environment near/by the Scarborough bluffs. I have been her for weddings and high school prom ( as chaperone) and I have never been disappointed. Well kept grounds with lunch greenery and even beautiful architecture for the perfect picturesque background. The food they serve is very delicious and hits the spot every time. Kudos to the chef and other staff. The actual event centre is in good shape and is clean and modern. You can definitely have an unforgettable evening at the Guild Inn. The ample free parking is an added touch

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Guild Inn, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we toured the venue, we were captivated by its stunning interior—elegant, modern, and timeless. Large venue for hosting events located next to the lake/bluffs. Surprisingly not too busy with free parking. Tough to get a photograph with the monuments on weekends as there are many weddings happening. Venue is clean with many washroom facilities.

We just had our wedding at The Guild (Bickford House) last week, and it was everything we could have ever imagined. From our initial visits and conversations to the final cleanup and heading home, the entire team was incredibly supportive.

Rebecca, our sales manager (and also our details manager!), was our lucky charm. She was a steady, kind, and calming presence throughout the entire planning process—always responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping us create the day we had always imagined. From the very beginning, we knew we were in good hands. While the tent outside the Bickford House was definitely a big draw when we were venue shopping, it was truly Rebecca’s warmth and energy that made us feel confident we had found the perfect place.

Silvana, our banquet manager, and her team were equally wonderful. Her calm and collected presence made the hours leading up to the event feel smooth and stress-free—everything ran perfectly, if not better than planned. During the celebration, her staff made sure we were well taken care of (at one point, they were literally following me around with food to make sure I ate!). Our personal server, Avi, was always attentive and helpful, and he never stopped smiling. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the incredible service, the warmth of the staff, and—of course—the incredible and bountiful food prepared by the Guild.

We also opted to have our ceremony at the Gazebo, which allowed for a natural and easy flow into the rest of the day’s events. With all the natural light and surrounding greenery, the space felt magical—our guests and photographers absolutely loved it.

Without a doubt, I would recommend the Guild Inn to anyone planning a wedding or special event. We chose the Bickford House for our smaller guest count (~40 people), and it was the perfect choice—cozy, intimate, and still spacious enough for everyone to dance the night away. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful the day was, and of course, the incredible and bountiful food prepared by the Guild’s team. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day.

I had the pleasure of attending the 40th Anniversary Gala of the 2025 Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant at Le Windsor Ballrooms, and the entire evening felt like a fairytale.
From the moment I walked through the Peacock Alley, I was teleported into a world of elegance. The towering ceilings, rows of glittering crystal chandeliers, and the historic fireplace made the space feel grand and luxurious. It’s the kind of place that immediately impresses you and sets the tone for a memorable night.

The event was held in the Salon Windsor, and I was blown away by the room’s beauty. The tall gilded ceilings, mirrored French doors, and ornate chandeliers gave the entire evening a regal touch. It felt like I was at a royal ball!!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting Cathy Leung-Rosnuk, Miss Chinese Montreal 1987, and her daughter Tyra Rosnuk, Miss Chinese Montreal 2021. They were both so friendly and charming. It was my first time meeting pageants in person, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to such a glamorous world. The experience of attending this event and seeing these incredible women was amazing.

Le Windsor Ballrooms exceeded all expectations. The venue, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe of the night were truly unforgettable. I had a wonderful time.☺️

If you are looking for a unique and fabulous experience for an event in Montreal, the Windsor Ballrooms is a perfect venue! We host our annual gala and all of our guests have had a magical experience: the beauty of the venue, the quality of the services and the food. We love the all-inclusive concept: the venue has everything on site and made it very easy for us. A big thank you to Leilani, the event coordinator, who made us feel like stars and enjoy our evening. We look forward to coming back for more events!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a pretty good overall experience. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the room was clean with all the basic necessities provided. The bed was comfortable, which made for a restful stay.

We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub — a nice bonus! The hot breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. The hospitality team was very friendly and welcoming. We especially had some great interactions with Rose, Rodel, and Val — they really added a personal touch to our stay.

Great value for the price. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Customer service was excellent! Despite a very busy weekend, the front desk ladies went out of their way to accommodate us. Hotel was welcoming, friendly staff, free breakfast was great & very well stocked. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Will definitely be staying again the next time I am in the area

The staff was very accommodating with requests from our young family. Bonnie was able to confirm a room near the banquet room that allowed me and my wife to utilize our baby monitor while our little one slept, which kept us enjoying the event a little later into the evening. The breakfast in the morning after was also very good, much better than most continental breakfasts at similar hotels. Thank you!

We always stay here when driving from B.C. to my parents in Saskatchewan. It's clean, rooms are well appointed, the pool area is fab and the breakfast is plentiful...coffee is also delicious. This last time, we had a wonderful person check us in, he was accommodating, went beyond with customer service and gave us a 10 percent discount for our one night stay. Thank you. Fantastic coordination of our son Michael and Maddy’s wedding with a group booking of over 46 of us from the smooth Air Transat flights and the meet and greet at the airport to the TRS coral and palladium hotels in Cancun was excellent.
We highly recommend travel with Ultimate destinations Michelle and the team were great to take care of us. Those resorts were tremendous, great variety of restaurants and beverages. Great accommodations and the pools were a dream. Very clean beaches, we will be back for sure.

I had a terrible experience working with Tara Halupa!

I fell ill a day to my trip and immediately informed her to help open my hotel accommodation for a future date. Tara refused, and kept reposting the terms and conditions. While I understand that there are terms and conditions, there are exceptions.

Inspite of her, I made efforts and contacted Sunwing and the Resort respectively. They were more amenable and were willing to make changes to accommodate me because this was a medical emergency.  The change was to enable travel on a different date after I am cleared to fly by my doctors. Both Sunwing and the Resort requested that I ask Tara to submit the request on her end! Tara refused to do so and kept resending me the T&Cs.

This was a trip I was looking forward to! It is such a shame that I have to lose over of $1500 because of Tara’s intransigence and refusal to reach out to Sunwing!  A little humanity goes a long way.

Suffice to say, While I appreciate Sunwing and the Resort for showing some level of flexibility, I know I cannot recommend anyone using Tara, because she makes nonsense of the word “service”.

Incredible. Back again and every time I am incredibly impressed with attention to detail, staff that are constantly going over and above with micro level details that we never get elsewhere. Food never runs out and excellent pre-event detailing and during event changes as well. AV also runs smoothly and staff on site to assist.

We toured this venue early in our wedding planning process and were immediately impressed. It was beautiful and felt like the perfect fit for our wedding. We were ready to book right away, but the team told us they were still finalizing their pricing for the following year and would be in touch as soon as it was confirmed.

Unfortunately, what followed was a very disappointing experience. Over the next couple of months, we followed up multiple times and were told they were still waiting on approvals or signatures. Then, they simply stopped responding altogether. No replies to emails, no returned calls or voicemails. We even sent a new inquiry from a different email address just to see if we'd get a response, and still nothing.

By September, with no communication and our wedding date approaching early the following year, we had no choice but to move forward with another venue. This was the first time we’ve ever been completely ghosted by a vendor, and we’re really disappointed in the lack of professionalism. We understand delays can happen, but a simple response or update would’ve gone a long way.

To this day, almost a year later, we’ve still never received any kind of response or explanation from them.

In-house chef goes above and beyond to accommodate. It's great seeing the same cheerful and kind staff every time we come here over many months.

View from the rooms is an added bonus.

AV on site is quick and responsive.

Doesn't break the bank like some hotels or other venues.

My only complaint is the room isn't big enough for some of our bigger events as we wish we could hold them all here.

Attended a 2 day workshop here. Well organized. Clean. Friendly staff. Bathrooms were so clean at all times! Food was fantastic! Worth every penny.

The venue was too small for the conference I attended, although that is not to the fault of St. Andrew's. The food was mediocre, again, likely because the conference went cheap. They could have provided more variety on day two, with different sandwiches or dessert. The view is excellent. Some of the staff were friendly, some were rude and pushy. Location was good, as it has PATH access. Limited number of restrooms which is a problem when the place is full.

We had a wonderful ceremony with Sheri-D and couldn't be happier we picked her to officiate our wedding.

From the very beginning. Sheri-D paid a lot of attention to what we want and feel comfortable with, and she very quickly got a sense of what we might like. We weren't actually quite sure ourselves what we wanted, and her suggestions really helped us flesh out the ceremony we wanted. She suggested some beautiful poems based on what she knew about us and our preferences. After we got a draft from her, we were able to remove or alter anything we didn't like and replace poems and text with our own selections. At no point did she force her opinion on us - she always made sure we were happy with everything and was even willing to rewrite her whole proposal if necessary (which it wasn't - we only needed a few changes).

The most important point however was how she made us feel - Sheri-D is a very caring, insightful person, and immediately felt when I (bride) became stressed or worried, and she'd always calm me down and reassure me. She also offered to help in any way possible, and when we had to move our wedding on VERY short notice due to extreme weather, she was super accommodating and told us she'd make any day work for us. That took a lot of stress of our plate!

My husband and I didn’t know anything about the parts of a wedding ceremony and were originally planning something very concise. However, when we met with Sheri D she really took the time to get to know us and gave plenty of examples of different components that we could incorporate to make it unique for us as a couple which was extremely helpful. Once we decided on a rough outline, she quickly got back to us with a first draft of our ceremony and when my husband and I read through it we got emotional as it was absolutely perfect and reflected us so well. She provided multiple options for us to choose from for different parts of the ceremony and didn’t get offended or upset when we requested a few small changes for the final draft. Sheri D contacted me the week of our wedding to confirm when/where she needed to be and arrived at the ceremony site early with all the paperwork ready to go.

Sheri-D performed a beautiful ceremony for our wedding. We met with her a couple of months before the date which gave us a chance to get to know her a bit and her, us. She drafted a ceremony for us allowing for options of poetry, both her own and works of others. We went back and forth a few times before we had a ceremony that felt right for us. In these communications, Sheri-D was respectful and timely. We met a couple of days before the wedding day to go over the ceremony. It was a delightful experience, and we came away sure that the day would be amazing. Indeed it was! Sheri-D arrived early and spent time with me and my husband-to-be prior to the ceremony. When it came to the ceremony itself, she infused it with a playful spirit, and a kindness and respect for everyone there. Her quality of voice in her delivery of poetry was spot on. When asking us to recite the legal vows, she kept her voice quite low so that it was us that was heard by our guests - many commented on this saying that she knew when to lead the ceremony and when to be in the shadows.

When choosing someone who will be the officiant at your wedding, I think it is important to feel a connection with that person when you first meet. We certainly felt that with Sheri-D. We had chosen the poetry, and knew the order of the rituals. We didn’t feel the need to have a definite script for the day. As it turned out, there were some impromptu moments, but Sheri-D sailed through them with grace and wisdom.

We are very grateful to have found Sheri-D, and know that the words spoken at our ceremony were unique to us.

My husband and I commissioned Sheri D to officiate our wedding in July 2017. Sheri D had come highly recommended from a friend who was married roughly 9 months early and we were so happy that we had the chance to work with her.
Not knowing exactly what to expect or how to set up a wedding ceremony, we were grateful to have an expert on our side who we felt cared for us as people. She took the time to ask us questions about our relationship and how we envisioned the day. During the rehearsal and then during the ceremony it was so appreciated to be led by someone who had so much experience and who could really help to remove some stress from one of the most important aspects of our wedding. We even got some great photos before I walked down the isle of Sheri D making sure my husband was doing all right and helping to keep the nerves down while he waited for me in front of everyone.
The actual ceremony was so beautiful, poetic, poignant and us. The words she said rang true to the emotions I was feeling and the connection that I felt to my husband and to the friends/family we had with us. It was about love and life and nature and family, and was also kept to the point and timely (as was requested). Honestly the entire process was exactly what I had hoped for; we had a partner in Sheri D and she was able to strip away our uncertainty about how the day should go and be the guiding energy for the wedding we had dreamed about. I would highly recommend if you want a similar experience and are looking for poetry, honesty and love as you commit to your future life partner.

Went for their Tea in the Tropics event. Food was good, but not a lot for the price. It is in Carp, so the water tastes a little different.

Venue is nice with all of the plants, but not as tropical or lush as expected. The event information talked of "tumbling waterfalls" but we only saw the small one. Still nice, but adjust your expectations. All the workers were friendly and helpful.

We had the chance to celebrate a very special moment here with friends, as one of them was getting married on Friday and what an unforgettable experience it was! 🌸✨

I photographed a beautiful intimate wedding back in April at Aquatopia and it was stunning! The atmosphere was breath taking and so unique for this area, the staff went above and beyond for the couple and their guests... also helping me out if I needed anything.

You do have to understand the expectations when booking Aquatopia for your event, that it is warm in the venue as it is a greenhouse, so thats to keep in mind if you would prefer a venue with air conditioning but I still HIGHLY recommend the venue!

Wedding planning and organizing is extremely stressful, however Aquatopia and their staff are absolutely amazing. They make everything come together. The food portions were huge. They are all so kind and helpful. They go through everything with you step by step. I just had my wedding here with 80 people, our coordinator - Kayde was absolutely amazing. There was not one issue, not one mistake. Everyone that went even quoted about how amazing the atmosphere, the food, the decor. Our wedding coordinator Kayde also helped us with finding anyone we needed, they did all the decorating, and clean up. Never had to lift a finger. Great pricing. Highly recommend if you are planning on getting married - this is the dream.
And ask for Kayde to be your coordinator!

We recently stayed at the Brookstreet Hotel for our second time. The hotel itself itself is clean and the rooms are spacious. My kids loved the variety with the pools, and we all enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub immensely. It's no wonder it's so popular in the summer - the outdoor pool is fantastic! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lack of coffee/tea available in the lobby. Our family wakes up early, so we had to wait hours for the cafe to open. The woman who worked the opening shift at the cafe was fantastic though - really went above and beyond. Checking in/out was smooth!

Awesome spot! The cafe and restaurant are amazing. The rooms are comfy and clean. I really loved their breakfast menu. The restaurant has live music sometimes. The front desk staff was okay, not super friendly or helpful. I had a great stay, but I didn't feel very welcome at check-in or check-out.

We recently had our wedding at Brookstreet Hotel. Amazing experience working with their team. We had a lunch wedding and appreciated how flexible they were to work with us on doing something less traditional. We particularly want to shout out Jenna who was very responsive and helpful. The whole banquet team was very attentive and easy to work with. We received so many positive comments on the food. It was delicious! We took advantage of the golf course for some extra family/friends time and rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding. We also enjoyed dinner at the Jazz Lounge and complimentary breakfast the day after the wedding. We even got couple massages at the spa the next day. All around great experience and would definitely recommend. Thanks again!

Been to the brookstreet a few times and everything is always amazing. Stayed here for the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding and the rooms are gorgeous. We had a beautiful balcony room and service was excellent. Also went here for a day trip to go to the spa and pool. Such an amazing experience at the spa both times I went and the pool is excellent. The food at the restaurant is also really good and they have great cocktails.

We had a 3-night 'forced' stay-cation as our AC died and the brutal heat took us here while we waited. We had a Junior Suite and we were indeed very comfortable. It's a really nice room, lots of space, separate bedroom, well laid out, comfy bed and good amenities.

We stayed in the hotel the entire time as we really had no need to go elsewhere. You have all you need here: Great restaurants, cafe, room service, spa, indoor and outdoor pools etc. It really is a very nice, comfy and professionally run hotel and the price for our suite was surprisingly low compared to other hotels of this calibre. We'd come back in a minute!

I had a wonderful experience with Château Nadia. The boutique itself is elegant and offers an extensive selection of stunning wedding dresses to suit every style and taste. Nadia is truly exceptional—her warmth, professionalism, and passion for what she does are immediately felt the moment you walk in.

Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to place a custom order and instead chose a gown that required significant alterations. The team handled everything with care and precision. They were highly responsive, incredibly detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exactly what I envisioned.

A special mention to Clara, the Italian seamstress, whose expertise and eye for design made all the difference. She instinctively knew what adjustments would best complement my silhouette and ensured the dress fit beautifully.

Overall, an excellent experience with a dedicated team who genuinely care. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience finding my wedding dress at Château Nadia. The staff was friendly and helpful. The saleswoman who assisted me made beautiful dress suggestions that I didn't expect, one of which ended up being THE one. Nadia and her team helped us work around our budget and made the whole experience a dream come true! Thank you!

Terrible experience at Chateau Nadia. They were running late which was fine, I was happy to wait until I had the salesperson’s full attention. When the girl finally started serving me, she was still finishing up with another client. She was very rude and dismissive. I felt like I was a bother and like she didn’t want to serve me. She also kept complaining about her feet and how they were hurting her. I fount this very unprofessional. Eventually, another girl came to help. At this point, i was unhappy and not enjoying my experience so we walked out. Very disappointed in this store and their employees.

My wife and I honestly felt super comfortable as soon as we walked into this shop! The staff were super nice and accommodating and knew exactly how to treat a Bride to be! Super patient and professional! Highly recommended and reasonable prices too!

Extremely disappointing experience. I really wish I had read the reviews before booking.

From the start, the consultant was rude and dismissive. She kept insisting I try on certain dress styles, even after I clearly said I wasn’t interested in them. When I mentioned my budget was around $2,500, she made a face and said she doubted there was anything in the store for that price, which was both unprofessional and unnecessary.

I also asked if my mom could help me look through dresses, and the consultant responded with, “I’m the consultant, I don’t want other people’s opinions, it’ll make my job harder.” That completely killed the moment.
The dresses I tried smelled like body odour.. which was gross honestly. I feel like the bare minimum would be to have clean dresses..
At the end, we discussed fabric options for a dress, she mentioned having samples but wouldn’t explain them further because, according to her, “it was too complicated and we wouldn’t understand”

Trying on wedding dresses is supposed to be a joyful, memorable moment, something you share with loved ones. Instead, this felt, cold, and condescending. Not at all the experience I had hoped for.

You lost us when we arrived at 815pm and told valet is full. Have never stayed at a hotel where valet is full. No one helped us with luggage. Took 30 minutes to park and get back to hotel. Room 366 - room is small and bathroom is tiny. No water pressure in shower. Morning breakfast in gold level excellent. Hotel - great location. We get with an old hotel there is only so much you can do with rooms / bathrooms. But the poor service in valet and check in should be an easy win. Housekeeping excellent. Service within Gold excellent.Shouldn’t have to hike across the city the next morning to get valet - and even then had to wait 15 minutes to see if valet was now available.

We were in awe of the facility, but the people made the stay. They were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The room was nice and my key requirements of a good shower and bed were met. I would have liked having a refrigerator and drawers for clothing; however, we were supplied with two luggage racks and robes. The room was very quiet. All and all, we would definitely stay again. Ottawa is a beautiful place to visit.

First time staying at this location and will likely be the last. Service was good and everyone was friendly. Location is nice but parking is an issue. The value for the cost is 0/5 ⭐️
The room was musty, no mini fridge, no bathroom fan and the ice machine on our floor was out of service for two days.
I’m sure there are many other nicer hotels for half the cost.

I stayed at the Château Laurier while in Ottawa for a Rolex appointment inside their jewlery store in the hotel, and at first I was very impressed. The property is beautiful, and during my stay I spent thousands of dollars, including meals at their restaurant. In 2 days Unfortunately, the way I was treated afterwards completely ruined my opinion.

Because my credit card was being replaced we did a balance transfer to a travel visa, I had a small $80 balance remaining. I explained this clearly, reassured them I would pay as soon as my new card arrived, and even offered alternative methods like debit payment, e-transfer or a certified cheque. Despite this, I received repeated and pressing messages with shifting “expiry dates” to settle the account.

For a guest who traveled for a luxury appointment in their hotel and spent generously during my stay, being treated with suspicion and essentially harassed over such a small balance was extremely disappointing. Instead of being met with trust and understanding, I was made to feel like I was trying to avoid payment, which couldn’t be further from the truth.

It’s sad, because I had looked forward to staying here again for future visits to Ottawa. But after this experience, I won’t be returning. A hotel of this reputation should know how to treat loyal guests with respect, not suspicion.

I stayed at the Fairmont Château Laurier for two nights and really enjoyed my time there. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Ottawa, walking distance to Parliament Hill, museums, and lots of shopping. The hotel itself is full of history, which makes the experience feel unique.

My room was clean but on the smaller side, which reflects the older, historic style of the hotel. Some rooms have amazing views of Parliament Hill, so it is worth asking about that. The overall ambiance feels luxurious and elegant.

The on-site bar and restaurant are lovely, though quite expensive, and the hotel also has a nice indoor saltwater pool. Parking is a challenge as valet service is very limited and was already full when we arrived, so the only option was to use nearby pay-as-you-go lots. There is also no airport shuttle service.

I did not feel that the staff went out of their way to make our stay feel special the way they have at other Fairmont locations, but overall I still enjoyed it. It is definitely on the pricey side depending on the time of year, but if you want history, luxury, and the best location for walking around Ottawa, it is hard to beat.

I have been here three times. One time for brunch and two other at night to party. It’s always a beautiful, amazing experience. Despite being the same place they always manage to have something new happening that makes your experience unique. The decoration is beautiful, the staff is amazing, so friendly, so welcoming. The music is always good! Can’t wait to go back again to be surprised one more time.

Such a nice atmosphere and vibe. The music was very good.

The appetizers that were ordered were the : bang bang crispy shrimp, charred cauliflower & the truffle honey burrata and everything was amazing !! The raspberry mojito was also very good.

As my main, I got the truffle mac & cheese and it was top notch perfect.

The service is also super fast & the waiters are so accommodating and sweet!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jardin Azul and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server made excellent recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Now the food — simply amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the attention to detail was clear in every bite.

My friend and I came here at the very last minute as we aborted our plans to go to the Old Port (due to terrible traffic). There was a parking lot across the street but beware it’s 24/7 and 2h will cost you $12. Jardin Azul immediately gave me Tulum vibes (I visited in March 2022) with its high bamboo looking walls to enter. The restaurant has high ceilings, is beautifully decorated and plays good music. Of course all the staff is gorgeous but they were also very nice. I would just recommend they dim the lights a bit more but the skylight adds to the experience of feeling outside but being covered.

We were very pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was! The cocktails will run you over $22 each (which I find insane personally that this is the norm now, but not just them). At least my friend’s margarita was very strong & tasty! I just went for white wine, which was good too.

The watermelon feta salad was sooo good. The pistachio really elevated the flavour. We got the Caesar salad, creatively served in a crouton bowl and the truffle Mac and cheese, which was super delicious. We ordered cheesecake but by the time we got it we didn’t really want it anymore and it seemed like it was just a regular piece of NY style cheesecake. Only one dessert on the menu but I guess the crowd isn’t really going for that!

All in all, great experience. Would go back

This place caught me off guard! I am not a friend of the owners or staff, this is a completely unbiased review.
I went in with average expectations, assuming they would emphasize atmosphere and crowd over quality of food.

We ordered every single app on the menu and one main, we loved all of them except for the roasted cauliflower which was wet in texture and did not match the rest of the dishes in quality.
The prices were reasonable for both food and alcohol for what you got in return.
The staff was extremely friendly and on the ball, we all left happy with our experience and would go back.
Don’t think I’d stay past 10/1030pm

Came here for a wedding last weekend and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. Tight, intimate space with a large dance floor. 100% recommend. The drive up to it on the race track was also a very cool experience.

One of the Best event venue in the heart of Montreal.

We just had our wedding this past weekend and all we can say is WOW. This venue is one of the most gorgeous in all of Montreal, from the lighting, to the indoor design, to the architecture and of course, the garden. We have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about our experience with the rental managers. All of our guests were blown away by the atmosphere. If you are considering this place as a rental for an event - do it. We will remember our special day for a lifetime, and it happened flawlessly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

There's a reason why this is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Montreal. It's so gorgeous, the setting is incredible - you feel like you're out in the country but through the trees you have this breathtaking view of the city. Parc Jean-Drapeau's staff are very attentive and helpful. It's well worth the cost to rent this space. It's unreal to think how many hundreds of thousands of people likely dined in that room during Expo 67, how many millions passed through the Canadian Pavilion, how many millions more walked around the site. It makes whatever event feel like a part of history. The Inuit art was striking and engaging too, and it created this remarkable contrast with the high modernism of the space which was 'linked' by the interior wood floors and finishings, and complemented by the natural settings outside. Old, new, antique, modern, rustic, urban - and all at the same time and in harmoney with one another. What could be more Montreal, Quebecois, and Canadian than that?

Horrible service and, more importantly, both parking attendents and their manager utterly lacking in empathy. Attended an event here and we had a guest in the party whose electric car needed a charge since nearest charger in the Casino was out of service and after driving around looking for charger they only had enough charge to drive 5 km. La Toundra refused to allow him to charge the car so it would not require a tow while being a guest at the event and told him that the charger is for employees only even though no employee was charging 10 pm two charger spots. And this was for a paying customer. At the end, this poor individual had his car towed as their battery ran out, their while two kids screamed in their baby seats, which lay on the side of the road while they waited for their cab at 10 pm. Quebec hospitality at its best.

The event venue is a hidden gem. On the outside it's unimpressive. The inside decor and atmosphere are impressive, however!
It's small compared to other venues, so it can fill up very quickly. The service was exquisite, and the staff very professional.
My only suggestion is let the guests know that there is more room for waiting upstairs.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Maison Principale on Saturday, May 17, and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It’s absolutely beautiful—every corner offers a perfect backdrop for photos, from the elegant interiors to the thoughtful architectural details.

The space was spotless and so well maintained, which makes a huge difference on a fast-paced wedding day. I also want to highlight how lovely it was to work with Natasha—she was so accommodating and kind, and even welcomed me to visit the venue ahead of the wedding to get familiar with the space. That extra step helped everything run even more smoothly on the big day.

The entire team at Maison Principale was professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to creating a seamless experience for everyone involved. I’m already looking forward to the next event there!

Malaparte is an intimate yet exquisite fine dining establishment. We had the pleasure of having our annual work Christmas party here and they did not disappoint in the slightest. Friendly and quick service, always making sure we had food in our mouth and a drink in our hands. The team was excellent and the food was delicious. The views of the city are phenomenal and the rooftop view of the CN tower was spectacular. I would recommend any business or group to host an event here. I can’t wait to be back next year. Lovely venue! We experienced a wedding here and the views of the city are great. The spot in front of the CNE Tower is nice in the day or night. Staff were attentive, drinks were great and food was good. I can't want to come back here to have a casual day out.

Beautiful small venue to have a wedding. Doesn't need much decorating. The views are very nice with clear shots of the CN tower. It can get windy here in the fall time. The in-house dj was one of the best with great taste in music for the appropriate crowd and smooth transitions. The food was also very good - no issues there as well. Recommend for events of 130ish people.

Very good catering venue! Workplace party functions, different business organizations and marriages are popular booking options here. Loved working in the laid back kitchen with good chefs.

The views are 5 stars plus here, amazing skyline views from the balcony. I’ve been a couple times now for business related events, service and food had been good both times. For a catered venue in the city I’d recommend for sure

I recently took my granddaughter to the Old Mill for a princess party teatime event. She absolutely loved it. The grounds were just exquisite. All the little girls were dressed up in princess dresses with tiara’s, and they had four princesses come out to entertain the kids. The room was set up beautifully, and the food was excellent.

Went here for a friend’s intimate wedding and loved the venue. The food was delicious, the venue itself felt very cozy and elegant, and the staff were all so helpful. I didn’t take pictures of the food, but we had butternut squash soup, garden salad, and salmon filet with roasted veggies — all of it was surprisingly delicious.

We recently had our wedding at Old Mill Toronto, and it was truly the most magical day we could have imagined. From the stunning historic setting to the flawless execution of every detail, everything exceeded our expectations.

Their responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail were incredible throughout the entire planning process. Anytime we had a question or needed to finalize something, they were quick to respond and always had a solution ready. Their support took so much stress off our shoulders and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

The venue itself is breathtaking — charming, elegant, and full of character. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the ambiance, the food, and the impeccable service. From start to finish, it was everything we dreamed of and more.

The Old Mill is such a beautiful venue with so many spaces for events that each have their own character and requires very little decoration. As a wedding decorator, the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. They ensured everything was perfect for my client and made it very easy for me to complete my decor set-up.
