Seems to be the best run Registry I’ve been to. It’s definitely quite busy, but they coordinate well and it’s got a decent amount of space. Odd spot for it, but aside from the wait time everything was quick and smooth.

I’ve been coming here for 10-15 years, and I’ve never had an issue. Sometimes there’s a bit of a line but you can expect that with any registry. I do like their online wait list and today I was in and out in FIVE minutes to renew my license (on a Friday afternoon!). Super impressed. The staff is always so friendly and so helpful so thank you, keep up the good work.

This is THE BEST registry. I consistently get great service here! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. I go out of my way to go here when I need a registry because of the excellent service. I have tried other registries, such as the one in Legacy Township, but after not great experiences, I will never use any other registry besides the Registry @ South Trail Crossing.

Ahmad was awesome! Super polite and professional, and he made a few jokes along the way that really helped me relax. I liked that he never asked me how many times I had done the test before just to make me fail—he only asked at the end as a funny joke after I passed. He made the whole experience way less stressful, and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone taking their test.

Can't say enough good things about this place and specifically Ahmed. I'd been having trouble passing my class 5 road test at other locations and the moment I came here it was a different vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly and my examiner Ahmed was absolutely the best! Despite not passing on my first couple attempts he was always providing tangible advice and really seemed to be invested in helping me achieve this milestone. In the end I was able to get it done and can't be more thankful for Ahmed and North Hill registry

Went to the registry for a road test. Had the privilege of having Ken as my instructor. He was extremely kind, and very knowledgeable. After the exam he took a few minutes to talk to me about the test and areas I could improve etc. couldn’t of asked for a better Instructor, Ken was a big part of the reason I was able to pass. Highly recommend!

Nice rinks. Big change rooms. Concession upstairs that serves alcohol. Nice heated seating area with lots of seats.

I've been on the road a couple days I wanted to stop for a shower only cost 2.75. Really nice staff really nice facility

I play shinny there. $5.50 for an hour and 15 minutes. They have shinny 4 times a week, check the web for details.

We decided to go watch some hockey and eat dinner here. The food was not good. I seen everyone else there bringing in food and I just assumed to save money. Guess I know for next time to bring outside food in. I recommend if you want more sales, get better food. This is sad since alot of families spend alot of money to have there kids in events there.

This is the best registry with truly professional staff. I live in the NE, but I choose to leave all the nearby registries and drive a long way just to come here — and it’s absolutely worth it. They complete everything within seconds. I visited today for a prorate service, and Cass assisted me. She is extremely professional and knows how to get the job done quickly and perfectly. I highly recommend everyone to visit this registry if they want fast and flawless service.

I was sent here to upgrade my Licence through my employer. And since that first visit I have come back for a couple other things on my own. They are now my favorite registery as they are very fast, professional and the building is nice on the inside.

I always go to this registry unless I need one a on a Sunday. Once I visited another because it happened to be near where I was at the time— mistake. Gave me some run around and asking for documents that were irrelevant. I went to this registry instead, was in and out in 5 mins. Knowledgeable staff who know what they are doing! Ministerial Associates Inc at Toronto City Hall is a no-frills, perfectly practical option for small and micro weddings (under 20 people). The staff was organized and helpful, and the central location can’t be beat. As a photographer, I appreciated the simplicity and ease of shooting here. The elevators are confusing. It felt rushed.lol. it would have been nice to have some more flowers arranged and music?

We had a good experience from booking, receiving reminders, to the actual ceremony. The staff members we met were all very professional and helpful. The officiant was good as well. The only downside of having a wedding here is that there’s no washroom on the floor and you’d have to go down to the lobby.

It’s a perfect experience to get married at Toronto City Hall. The wedding chamber is clean, modern, and bright. The officiant is extremely professional and humorous. We come from Ottawa to get married at Saturday such that my friends can come to the wedding - there’s no civil ceremony in Ottawa at Saturday. Overall I would say it’s the best day in my life.

Had our wedding here on april 26. Everyone was so nice and it was done Very professionally! We felt so welcomed and we were so impressed with every aspect of the ceremony... definitely recommend it's this place to anyone looking to have a small wedding!

I had my road test today with Chris, and he is truly the best examiner! I was very nervous at first, but he made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire drive. He gave clear instructions, was patient, and extremely supportive. I couldn’t recommend Chris enough. He definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you again Chris!

4 years ago I posted a 1 star review of this place but today I am happy to say that they have kicked it up 4 notches! Maryann was amazing and so was the gal that she was training. The place is organized and they have enough staff to run the office efficiently without long waits.

I have booked my road test from this registry and I want to give super duper thanks to Chris. He was very supportive through out the whole test. .Avoid this place at all costs for your Class 5 road test. My experience was extremely frustrating. The examiner seemed more focused on failing me than evaluating my driving fairly. I was disqualified based on a false narrative that didn’t reflect what actually happened. It felt like their goal was to keep collecting fees rather than helping people pass.

This kind of practice is unfair and discouraging for newcomers and learners. The Alberta government should seriously consider bringing road tests fully under public control. If left in private hands, these institutions will continue to act like capitalists, exploiting the community rather than serving it.

Specially examiner number 11866 He will make sure you fail the exam by exaggerating minor mistakes into disqualification.

Once the center of Calgary’s municipal government, it now stands as a symbol of the city’s rich history and resilience. Located next to the modern Municipal Building, it’s a must-see for history enthusiasts and architecture lovers exploring Calgary.

During a visit to Calgary we met many very nice people in museums, restaurants, hotels and on the street - many of which took time to (thankfully) assist us. We tried to visit the historic city hall. The historic portion which was originally built, the restored and continuously maintained with PUBLIC funds, is closed to the public. Why? So councilors, representatives and city managers can enjoy this beautiful historic structure - at the expense of the public. Shameful.

I don't mind going down here just to see the Calgary Tower lit up at night. It's so gorgeous. I don't like the downers that hang out smoking their dope and walking by some girl with them wanting to jump you as your walking by.

Great services for fair entry if needed, great resource for any information you might need, 311 etc. the new space is very welcoming especially for children. Loads of activities to keep them

They go out of the way to help and they are friendly and trustworthy - that is my personal experience.

There were times when I thought I had no hope and everything was doom and gloom and surprisingly I found workable easy to understand solutions there.

When I first went to the Church for the first time I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleased. The people are sooo kind and genuine. The are truly there to help you in any way you need . Once you start doing the courses you really get an understanding that this course will help you in an area of your life that your trying to improve . It just allowed me to get basic tools that I can use every day in my life to do better . It's not some scary brain washing place at all. That is just rumors that are spread by people who either don't know anything about Scientology or know it's helpful and want to not see it succeed. It's truly something that you have to try for yourself and see if it's helpful for you . You will probable be surprised how simple but effective the help that you get from going there is .

It was quite busy, I waited for 1h45 but the service was smooth and I got my plates in a few minutes.

There was a long line up when I arrived at 15 minutes to nine and I was no 49 when doors opened at 9. They were so efficient that I was out before 10, with new drivers licence and health cards ordered and 2 licence plates renewed! I was impressed.

Be prepared for long standing wait times and surcharges for using your credit card. I was charged $12 for using my credit card on a $200 registration renewal. Conveniently located downtown and parking is difficult during peak times. Staff is helpful and on point.

I visited this location after a long workday because it is the closest to my job, and I needed to apply for my Alberta Health Card. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and unprofessional.

The staff member I interacted with seemed unfamiliar with the process and insisted that I speak loudly while discussing my immigration status—sensitive federal information that should have been handled with more discretion and respect for privacy. She repeatedly asked for documents that were not required, despite my having brought everything listed by federal immigration officials. After a lengthy back-and-forth, she consulted a colleague who confirmed that I didn't need the document she had been insisting on. This only added to my frustration.

I was finally given the AHCIP form to fill out. When I approached the next available station to ask for guidance on what to do next (around 4:50 PM), the staff member told me she wasn’t attending to anyone anymore. When I tried to explain that I just needed simple directions, she responded rudely and loudly, causing others to laugh.

I left without completing my health card application, feeling humiliated, unsupported, and disrespected. Alberta Health Services needs to review the training and professionalism of the staff at this location, especially when dealing with newcomers and sensitive government processes.

Took my road test here for my second attempt and I couldn’t have had a better experience! My instructor was Mike and he was such a breath of fresh air, he was always calm even when errors were made and never once was he condescending! Mike reassured me and listened to my concerns and despite all the mistakes I made, the experience was generally positive. I passed and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!

Came in a little worried because of some reviews. But this is a really good registry. Line was long on monday afternoon but they had several people working and wait time was not bad. Took my class 5 road test with Mike and it was the best. Initial check-in took less than 5 minutes, and Mike was the best instructor for the test; he was reassuring, calm and clear, making the process easier, and he provided a very clear feedback at the end.

Came here for my class 5 road test today and I have to say... IMPECCABLE service. Going into it I was so nervous, but my examiner was super supportive and professional. Overall, this was a five-star experience. The tester was understanding, patient, and didn't overstep at all.

I just had a pretty bad experience at this place,.
This was usually a nice place to get our business done, license plates, registry and such. but the last couple of times I have been there have not been the best. I booked my road test this year again and they cancelled because they argued I was late, which I was not,!! there was only 1 person attending and it was until one more attendant appeared that I was called, by then 4 minutes after my appointment has passed, so, they told me I can not do the road test and have to book one more time, ( last year they cancelled my test due to the weather she said, but no reimbursement,)I explained to them that I was there just before 2:45pm which was the time my test was booked at, but no one was there, they kept arguing that I was late instead of getting me into the test, saying that I should have come in and yell them that I was there and needed to be attended,( who actually does that?), I explained that I will not be that guy that will come in to a store and start yelling and demand to be attended!, but she said that is what I was supposed to do. I guess from now on, anybody could come in demanding and yelling and will be ok.( I was supposed to be there half hour before, Yet, I was there on time for my test,, why would you schedule someone at certain time then you tell them they have to be half hour before the schedule??)

I will call this a SCAM! apparently, I will have to book my road test for the 3rd time, but will not go back to that place unless I have no option, and will suggest to anybody to avoid it badly, and avoid this "scamming" situation, road test are not cheap this class 6 will cost me now more than 6oo, but at least the money will go to someone else, Im afraid now of taking that test which they will say I have failed and make me pay again. too sad that it is the only option in town, but I would rather drive a few kms far.

This was my first time using this office, and I was very satisfied. The agent who waited on me was friendly and engaging, and I was in and out in 10 minutes.

The building serves as a valuable resource for many North York residents, offering a range of essential services such as parking tickets, social services, tax assistance, dental care, and more. While the design reflects a bygone era, it has been modernized to maintain a classic brick appearance and features ample natural light throughout its well-structured levels. The architecture is impressive, contributing to the overall appeal of the space.

However, to enhance the visitor experience, it would be beneficial to have an information spot at the entrance, to guide visitors to their desired services. Given the variety of offices and services located within the building, a clear directional system would help reduce any confusion and make it easier for newcomers to navigate the space effectively.

It’s a quiet place. I was not a fan of the parking. Going into a government building to pay for property tax or parking and again you have to pay for parking. Come on. Not happy at all. They have to come up with a system not to pay for residents when you visit the government building. Some sort of stamp or something. Poor service

There is construction inside and out which makes this a less than inviting place to be. I was just there for my wedding and the chapel was nice. The wallpaper and lighting made for lovely pictures. We did have issues with the sound system though. There is also a small room at the back where brides can prepare though there is no mirror and there is a coat rack which is handy.
We had hoped we could use the underground parking but there is no direct access or signs so finding your way is incredibly confusing. We ended up just using the Green P parking across the street.

I was pleasantly surprised that a bureaucratic place like this was this efficient. Not crowded because you're given specific appointments so you arrive 15 mins before and you're good to go. I went to get a marriage licence, so you need to enter from the south side (when you enter, look up on the inside, it will say which entrance it is). I parked on the side of the building and it cost me $2.50 for the few minutes I was there. The employee at the counter wasn't super friendly, but wasn't rude either. Overall, it's clean, efficient and looks good.

Came here for a marriage license and the process was quick and efficient. Although when arriving, it’s easy to get lost. Fortunately there’s security to help direct you to the right direction and even when late for the appointment by 15 mins, the people at the counter said it was not a problem and the whole process took about 10 mins. Also, when visiting, the North York Civic Centre itself was pretty.

It's good to have this resource here, but the library is very outdated. The selection is small and it's hard to find if you don't know where you're going. The art was nice though.

Toronto Public Library is very well maintained and has great collection of books as well as other materials.
One of the best libraries I have visited till date. I had a great time here.
I only visited it for having a look at the arrangements and the genres available here.
It also had free printing for members as well as the issuing and buying of books is also available for the ones having library card ( issued to person living here for more than a year ).
Also web surfing can be done here on public device or private with free wifi.

This library needs more love! With this location and great staff, it could've been an amazing branch. It's not a big location but gets the job done. To be very frank, there are a lot of homeless people in this library. I just saw a homeless man pinned to the ground and arrested after he was acting inappropriately. Sometimes there are shopping carts full of stuff blocking the books and only if staff ask they won't move it. I understand these people need access to storage, but due to how small this library... the staff are really amazing for dealing with it.

Trouble finding the entrance? You have to go inside City Hall and then turn right. There aren't any Library Signs outside.

A little sanctuary where you can find books and peace, and watch the bustling world moving on at the heart of TO.

I want to sincerely thank AMA Crowfoot for their outstanding service. From start to finish, every staff member I interacted with was friendly, respectful, and incredibly helpful.
I took my road test at this location, and although I faced a few setbacks, the experience remained positive throughout. On my first attempt, I wasn’t aware that my temporary insurance had expired. Raj, the driving test instructor, was incredibly understanding and allowed us time to retrieve the permanent insurance from home. When we returned, we discovered an issue with the window tinting on the vehicle that prevented me from taking the test. Even then, Raj remained kind and considerate, offering helpful advice and answering all my questions about the road test.
I had my second road test attempt with Raj as well. Although I didn’t pass, he was professional and encouraging, which gave me the confidence to rebook the test right away.
On my final attempt, I was tested by Brad, who was equally professional and calm. Thanks to the guidance I received, I passed the test and had a very positive experience.
Overall, I highly recommend AMA Crowfoot for anyone preparing for their road test. The instructors, especially Raj and Brad, were excellent, and the staff—particularly the lady at the front desk—were incredibly welcoming and supportive. You won’t need to look anywhere else!

2023: Alejandro was incredibly quick on response when I needed assistance with my tire.
A nail had gotten into my front tire on the drivers side, and he was very helpful with his knowledge and skills for helping assess my tires.
He is professional and very approachable.
10/10 would recommend AMA and Alejandro again easily.

Today I had the pleasure of receiving assistance from Lois as I was required to take some professional travel photos.

Lois was amazingly helpful and provided excellent customer service along with genuine, empathetic and kind professionalism.

Even for just a simple moment of checking in and asking to get help with photos can be turned into something far more meaningful just by meeting the right person.

Not only did she provide excellent opportunities and great preparation for my photo, the photos themselves are actually probably the best I've ever had (considering travel photos are never quite optimal I find haha), and yet somehow she still managed to make them genuinely authentic and very acceptable.

Thank you so much Lois for being exactly who you are and being the right person that I needed.

And thank you for all the absolutely wonderful help you provided today.

Exceptional service!
After being coldly dismissed, ignored, and embarrassed by *another registry nearby*, I walked into this location already feeling down and hopeless but was completely blown away by the employees' professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

Within five minutes, I was being assisted by Brett who was so warm and welcoming from the get go. He genuinely listened to my concerns. He took the time to investigate my renewal issue thoroughly, acknowledged my frustrations seriously, and most importantly, offered actual solutions. Brett and Kyle discussed solutions, explained next steps clearly, were incredibly empathetic and understanding, and even reached out to the appropriate contacts themselves to begin resolving the problem on my behalf.

They didn’t just “process paperwork”, they advocated for me. They really went above and beyond, and I couldn’t be more grateful. If you want service that’s not only competent but human, this is the place to go.

I tried to bring my son in for his road test today and was immediately refused by the instructor due to a slight tint on our second-hand vehicle’s windows. While we understand the tint could be grounds for rejection, the instructor made wildly inappropriate and unprofessional remarks—including calling the Alberta government “stupid” for implementing the rule, despite admitting that his own personal vehicle had significantly darker aftermarket tint.

When asked to explain the safety concern, he claimed emergency responders couldn’t “shatter the glass” during a rescue. My husband, a first responder, pointed out from direct experience that this simply isn’t true. He even offered to remove the tint on the spot. The instructor refused, saying it wouldn’t change his decision.

When I attempted to respond to the instructor’s comment that he was “on our side,” he became visibly agitated, dismissed me mid-sentence, and walked off. His reaction felt extremely disproportionate and disrespectful, especially as a woman trying to engage in a calm, reasoned conversation. We also couldn’t ignore the racial undertones in his tone and behavior toward us, which made the encounter even more uncomfortable and upsetting.

This experience left our entire family shocked and disheartened. If this is the level of professionalism upheld at this registry, I’d strongly urge others to go elsewhere.

I recently brought my child in for a driving exam at this location and experienced an appalling level of unprofessionalism and hostility from the examiner. Upon seeing our vehicle, he immediately refused to proceed—making derogatory comments about our appearance, the color of our car, and implying we were undeserving of services. He then claimed to be an employee of the Alberta government and openly disparaged the entire provincial licensing program.

He made inappropriate and racially charged remarks about our background, referring to our blood as “impure” and insinuating that our ethnicity made us ineligible for public services. When we questioned the basis for his refusal, he became agitated and aggressive, refusing to engage respectfully and walking off when asked for clarification.

This encounter left my family shaken. We felt targeted, insulted, and unsafe. No person should ever be subjected to this kind of abuse—especially from someone in a position of authority representing public institutions.

If this is the standard being upheld, the public deserves to know. I strongly caution others before booking an exam here.

I had a wonderful experience visiting this location! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and appreciated. Kelsey provided exceptional assistance, not only offering outstanding service but also taking the time to help me with brochures and explain the many benefits of my AMA membership. First time at ama and I am impressed! It’s large and spacious. They do a lot more than road side services - I had no idea. Saw that they did registry services so I stood in line. The gentleman at reception asked me what help I needed and when I heard the service I was after he was able to get me to a separate counter to expedite the service. I met with Laura E who was quick and friendly in helping me register two trade names. Even told me i could email next time Becuase many things like registering a corp or trade name can be done over email now! Thanks again!

I had my driving test today at Willow Park AMA and I have absolutely no complaints — it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

The instructor was professional, calm, and helpful, which really helped ease my nerves during the test. This was my second attempt, and everything felt fair and smooth throughout.

After passing, the front staff were so kind and celebratory, treating me with genuine respect and encouragement. It really made the moment feel special.

Saturday 1130am and only two of the five wickets are staffed for registry services. Both extremely slow moving and waiting several times for a third persons help (supervisor?)

In between helping the two employees the third person avoided eye contact or communicating with anyone in the line up of at least 8-10 people waiting for service. She kept moving back and forth between empty work stations ‘fixing’ something (must’ve been a top priority rather than the waiting persons)

After a 35 minute wait it’s finally my turn and I’m turned away without service, which could have been avoided had anyone communicated with the waiting people in line.

Very very poor service, disappointing no one addressed any waiting person.

Waiting is usually assumed, and not a dealbreaker but leaving several people in line for 30+ minutes without any acknowledgement, apology, or effort to do anything to better serve the line is unacceptable.

Retrain your supervisors/managers, cross train other department staff to step in and help, or schedule enough staff to fill the workstations for your peak days of the month.

Absolutely the worst company ever! After my car was stolen they didn't even offer me a rental, I had to call during business hours (3 days later) and wait on hold for over an hour! Then every time after that It was at least a 45 minute wait! Call number 20 currently been on hold for 1.5 hours!! When they want money they expect it right NOW! But when they owe you money - 2 weeks later being on hold for hours and hours Still no Cheque. Even in store - you are ushered out the door with a promise to follow up - No one ever does. This insurance company sucks bad like the worst ever! Oh let's talk about the roadside assistance that comes out 18 hours later and says there is nothing they can do about your tire - and charges you one of your 5 visits! Waste of money time and well even writing this review is a waste of my time BUT hopefully it saves someone else their time! NEVER AGAIN AMA can't wait to never deal with you again!

From the outside, Mississauga City Hall has this cute, old-school vibe—but once you step inside, it’s surprisingly modern and impressive. It’s honestly so nice that I feel more people should be using the space! I even thought, “I wouldn’t mind working in a place like this.”

During COVID, the café was closed and didn’t reopen for a long time, but I recently visited and saw that it’s finally open again. The café area is also super spacious and feels kind of luxurious—even though there aren’t that many people around. It seems like only employees, people who know about it, or those who happen to be visiting the front desk use it, which feels like a waste. It’d be great if they brought in other kinds of stores or services too.

I imagine we used to be able to go to different departments within City Hall, but ever since COVID, the general public can only access the main service desk on the first floor. I’d actually love to see the rest of the building and how people work there.

Now, I know the building is already done, so there’s no changing that—but to be honest, I’d rather they spent a little less on making things this fancy and instead lowered our property taxes. They go up so much every year, it’s kind of shocking. I really wish the city would clearly explain where all that money is going.

That said… if property taxes weren’t so high, I guess I’d be kind of proud to say our city hall looks this nice!

As a long-time Mississauga resident, I'm deeply concerned about the city's recent fiscal decisions. In 2023, property taxes increased by 6.1%, followed by a 7.2% hike in 2024, and now 9.2% in 2025. This doesn't include the increasing level of bonds the city is issuing that have to be paid back with interest to fund all the new spending.

These substantial increases have tangible impacts. At the same time I was compelled to cancel my $500/year community centre fitness membership due to overcrowding and limited access, as the facilities have become increasingly dominated by the newly introduced FREE 65+ Fit memberships for seniors. These giveaways continue with the new free public transit programs, and much more growing "FREE" services and socialist programs. While supporting our senior community is important, offering extensive free services funded by escalating property taxes in an attempt to buy votes puts undue strain on working residents and private businesses.

This approach raises concerns about sustainability and fairness. As the senior population is projected to grow from 27% to 45% by 2031, the financial burden on the remaining taxpayers will only intensify. While the city counsellors and mayor know this and are capitalizing on this to buy votes, it's imperative that the city reevaluates its fiscal strategies in a morally sustainable way to ensure equitable and responsible governance for all residents.

Mississauga is still looking very modern and clean. It is home to the Art Gallery of Mississauga. It offers ice skating in the winter time. The clock is not accessible to the public anymore.

If you are considering a simple and inexpensive wedding, you could book with the city hall. The venue has a capacity of around 50 people. Since I had an international marriage, I didn't have any family or relatives here. So, we decided to register at the city hall. The whole process was quite smooth and fast. First, you have to purchase the marriage license. Once you have the marriage license, you can call the hotline and book the chapel. They can offer their officiant (at an extra cost) or you can bring your own. Then, you will have 30 minutes to use the venue. We were satisfied because we just wanted to register first and then have more spare time to organize another local and overseas dinner later. Highly recommended!

Nice building, library looked nice. Staff at the city service counter were extremely rude to not only myself but others just trying to get their documents in check. Felt as if every effort to turn people away was used and their check in system is clearly being abused to accomplish as little as humanly possible. Witnessed staff members be extremely patronizing to atleast two older citizens having troubles with the sign in station and rude to the young couple next to me trying to get their marriage license. Having spent nearly an hour and a half waiting for my turn to speak to someone it was very clear that many people leaving the counter were visibly frustrated by how they were treated by these so called "city servants". During my time at the counter I was met with rude tones and what felt like several attempts to make me give up my request in an interrogative fashion, I did not allow myself to stoop to the level of the woman I was speaking with as I was confident in arriving fully prepared to get what I needed done. Highly disappointed that tax payer dollars are funding what is clearly a toxic and inefficient work environment that is supposed to serve the people of Ottawa. I get that work can be stressful and that resources may not be all there but it doesn't cost a dime to be polite to people.

Staff at city of Ottawa service desk were extremely rude and less than helpful to say the least. Our interaction was less than 2 minutes long in an empty office and I can confidently say if I’m ever in need of their services again I will be visiting a different location.

Worst building ever, it’s a publicly tax payer funded parking lot and building and they have security to make sure you don’t park there and are beyond rude, this one round in shape security officer is the rudest person I’ve ever met she gets off on yelling at you and will refuse to give her name

Easily the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Make a simple change on the account and you’re answering a million questions about everything other than what you’re trying to deal with. Start with decent pricing but they just go totally stupid. On top the millions of questions which you answer all of a sudden you get a questionnaire in the mail which doesn’t make sense so you call the number to get some clarification but unless you have 8 hours to sit and listen to crap on their phone you’re not talking to anyone. Then after being a loyal customer for many years ( claims free) you get a letter that you’re not providing enough information so they don’t want to renew( registered mail) turned professional all of a sudden. Bottom line don’t waste your time and just start with a trustworthy broker. In 2 years you’re ahead. And they aren’t shy to tell you they are busy and between the lines it’s we don’t need you, we have lots to do. Long story really short. Don’t waste your time because it’s a one year good deal

They prioritize members in line and let the non members wait for more than an hour even though we came and registered first with the front desk. We have been ama member for three years and just cancelled last year because we find the services not beneficial for us. Everyone in line left already and just us waiting.

I had the best experience at AMA Edmonton South! What an amazing team of people. Every single employee that I came into contact with was extremely helpful, professional, and very pleasant. Donna greets us as we enter, very prompt in figuring out our needs and pointing us in the right direction. Erin at the front, very pleasant and empathetic of the time required navigating the busy season and potentially long wait time. Nav in the insurance area had my policy fixed to a tee in minutes! She made the process look effortless! Lee and Mandy in the registry area. Lee stayed past closing time to finish my case with no feeling of being rushed. Mandy was so pleasant and empathetic to the longer wait times. It was a good positive experience. I would recommend AMA South Edmonton to everyone!

AMA misdiagnosed my car and tried to overcharge me.

Their roadside tech told me my alternator was dead and my battery was fine. That was completely wrong. My mechanic confirmed the alternator is fine and it was just the battery. AMA quoted me $500 for a new battery, while my mechanic is only charging me $250 for the exact same job. That’s double the price for the wrong diagnosis.

To make it worse, when I called AMA, I was told it would be a one-time service fee. But when the driver arrived, he refused to even touch my car until I bought a full membership. Total bait-and-switch.

Between the inaccurate diagnosis, inflated prices, and high-pressure membership sales, AMA is not worth it. If you want honest service and fair pricing, go to a real mechanic — not AMA.

Do not use AMA for auto insurance. They are just awful.
TD has much better rates & waiting times.
Membership is about the only thing AMA is good for, and that's just if you want to be cautious or have an unreliable vehicle.
Auto insurance is insanely expensive through AMA, and in order to even get that, you have to wait hours (if not days or WEEKS) to get through to anybody.
And THEN, if you ever ended up getting through to anybody, they make you wait 2 weeks for policy to become active.
They may also cancel your policy with no proper warning. It is the law in Alberta that a company, in order to cancel a policy, must notify the insured via REGISTERED MAIL with 15 days notice. I received a regular AMA envelope in my normal mailbox, telling me they would be cancelling my policy. This was NOT registered mail, I did not sign for this envelope, I very easily could have missed it. This envelope came AFTER I had already received my renewal package as well.
A cancellation, through NON REGISTERED MAIL, and when I went into this AMA location to get it figured out, I was offered absolutely no help, and even TOLD to shop around with other insurance companies.
So that is exactly what I did.
I went to TD's website for an online quote, and promptly called them. TD answered in under 30 minutes, quoted me $60 less than AMA was trying to squeeze out of me, AND they were able to enact the policy that same day.
Thoroughly disappointed in AMA, and thoroughly impressed with TD.
Again; DO NOT USE AMA FOR AUTO INSURANCE.

I have been here multiple times dealing with many issues for myself and others. I dealt with two lovely ladies, one with brown hair named Michelle and another with red hair named Michelle. Both very lovely and went the extra mile to ensure I was properly taken care of, understood what I needed and how to get it completed, and did the appropriate follow up. Very grateful for their excellent service and care.

Took my road test here recently and the customer service here is superb. Wojtek was a kind and friendly examiner who made the road test as calming and professional as possible. Kanya made the paperwork before and after fast and efficient. I really recommend this place to anyone

This is honestly one of the better registries in the far NW, and I've had multiple (frustrating) dealings with others to compare. They're quick, efficient, professional and welcoming at this location and I've mostly just had a run-in run-out experience most times at this location. The odd time that I've had to wait in line it's still been well organized and efficient.

Been going here for 10+ years. This is by far my favourite registry in the city! Everyone at this place has been great to me. Can get busy at times but oftentimes I find that it is usually more quiet than others in the NW. Highly recommend checking out this place for all your registry needs.

I took my second road test at Calgary Registry Services, and let me tell you what a difference there was between this registry and the one I went to for my first test. I walked into this registry and was immediately greeted by Michelle. She was so kind; she took my documents and walked me through the process, making me feel at ease and telling me that my examiner would bring my documents to me. As I was waiting for my examiner to come, Rene, another examiner, came and introduced himself. He let me know that my examiner is currently on another test and will be with me as soon as he returns. I was early, so I didn’t mind waiting. Everyone was so kind to all the customers; they were professional and friendly, helping them in a timely manner. Addison, my examiner, came back with his previous student and immediately came to introduce himself to me and my dad. He told me about the documents, and we went to the car. He explained the procedure to me thoroughly, asked me if I had any questions, and was very friendly. I finished my test, and he explained what I did well on vs. what I needed improvement on. He took extra time to answer my questions about the test. He was very kind and helpful. I went inside, and they updated my license. I will be going to this registry for all my inquiries from now on. The best experience I’ve ever had. A big, big thank you to Michelle, Rene, and especially Addison.

I had my road test today at this registry after having difficult experiences at another registry, and I am so grateful for the smooth and positive experience here. My examiner was Mr. Simon, and thanks to his professionalism and support, I was able to pass my test on the first attempt at this registry.

Before the test, I was very nervous and scared because of my prior experiences elsewhere. I had lost confidence in my abilities, but after today I feel back with confidence and secure in my ability to drive safely on the road. Mr. Simon exudes an aura of calmness that immediately put me at ease. He truly tries his best to make the test feel less intimidating and even reminded me to just drive the way I normally would with a license. That encouragement really helped me relax and focus. During the test, his instructions were clear, calm, and easy to follow. Afterward, he provided a thorough debrief, explaining the points that were deducted and ensuring I fully understood.

Overall, Mr. Simon created an environment where I felt supported and confident, which made a huge difference in my performance. It is evident that he understands the stress students can feel during a road test and responds with patience and professionalism.

The check-in process at this registry was also very smooth, and the customer service is excellent. I am truly thankful for the experience, and I want to recognize both Mr. Simon for his professionalism and the registry staff for making this such a positive road test from start to finish.

Visited Sunridge Registry for my driving test and had a great experience! The waiting time was impressively short, which was a huge plus. The examiner, Samuel, was fantastic - he was clear, concise, and professional in his instructions. Made the whole test process much less stressful. Kudos to Samuel and the entire Sunridge Registry team for a smooth and efficient experience. Highly recommend!

Simon was by the book and stringent on safety but fair and understanding. As a new Motorbike rider with my class 6 that's what I expect from an examiner.

The debrief was detailed but encouraging. As for converting the licence, the process, once at a counter took a few minutes. Today, Sunday, it was packed but even then the queue moved quick and efficiently.

Came on Sunday 20 minutes before closing and got the best registry-related experience ever! Almost every window is staffed, they are very busy but working very fast. I was helped by Surbhi, and she was fantastic - super-professional, super-friendly and super-helpful. Maybe the bad comments came from unhappy people, because my experience here was 10/10!
