Sixteen Eleven Studios is an absolutely amazing event space! This was my first time renting out an event space and it was the perfect place to host my birthday party.

Kelsi was so lovely and made the process so easy, answered any questions, made it easy to view the venue before my event, and even helped me get back a receipt I accidentally left behind.

The venue was exactly the look and feel I wanted my birthday party. A welcoming, comfortable, and unique venue. When I saw the event space pictures, I wasn’t sure if the venue would be big enough but the pictures don’t get to show how big the space is. It’s a good size length wise and comfortable fit 30 of us with plenty of room. I could even fit a pretty big flower arch for pictures.

Our host Julia was so amazing and always willing to help throughout the event. I needed help building a flower arch and she was so much help. She was super attentive and proactive. She would come to me asking if I wanted more tables when she would notice we might be running out of space, continuously served drinks, and overall helped keep everything organized which made it such a great experience.

Kelsi curated the space in such a lovely way, even if you don’t decorate the space will still look amazing. I heard endless compliments on the space!

Sixteen Eleven Studios is a fantastic event space! We hosted our first event here for our new initiative and it was a success. Our communication with Kelsi from day one to scouting the venue on subsequent days for our decor was seamless and she met all our needs. The event venue can get a little hot if you have over 50 people specially the room at the back where our DJ booth was but they have a fan you can ask for. Julia, our host was super helpful with set up and tear down, a big thank you to her as well! Highly recommended spot for your next event!

Being part of a pop-up at the studio has been such a lovely experience. Kelsi has been nothing short of amazing—she brings such a positive, welcoming energy that makes the space feel alive. She’s so thoughtful and attentive, always making sure everything runs smoothly and responding right away if I have any questions or concerns.

I had a party here and would highly recommend it. Kelsi was great to deal with leading up to the event. She was also very kind when a family medical emergency required me to postpone the event for a few months. Seanna (our bartender) was amazing and my guests loved the energy and presence of both of them. The DJ was great as well. The space itself was perfect - Kelsi showcases the work of different artists in the community and it complemented the ambiance/theme. There are 3 separate areas so we made one space more conducive for chatting, one area for food, and one area for dancing.

Sixteen Eleven Studios was more than perfect for my pop up shop! The space was so beautiful and versatile - everything she allowed us to use in her space prop wise was also extremely helpful. Kelsi was super responsive, attentive, and helpful while planning my event. Couldn’t recommend this space enough!

It was amazing to work with That’s Amore for their DJ service at our wedding. They really understood our vision and brought it to life. We had a mixed group of French and Romanian communities. The DJ did an amazing job at making sure that they all feel included and stay on the dancefloor all night. It was really the best evening and a big part is thanks to the DJ. We received excellent feedback from the guests as well who had so much fun. Thank you again for your professionalism, attention to details and the amazing night! 🙏

Johnny DJed our wedding and we’re so incredibly happy with his work!! Johnny bring incredible enthusiasm and professionalism to his events and was so helpful in organizing the wedding as well.

We hired That’s Amore Productions for our wedding this year. Johnny was such a pleasure to work with, extremely professional and knowledgeable. He helped coach us throughout the process leading up to the big day so that everything ran smoothly. That’s Amore Productions specializes in multicultural weddings, with ours being Lebanese and Italian, we were in great hands. He was able to cater to both cultural traditions and both families were super well represented. He communicated very well with the venue to ensure timely sequencing of events. We also used Johnny’s services for photo and video, together making it a one stop shop and negated the need for a wedding planner. We highly recommend!!

10/10. Johnny, from the beginning, was helpful, informative and helped with anything we needed or any questions we had. The whole process was flawless. Joe, our DJ, was so fantastic and so sweet. Came to see us all night to make sure we were still on schedule and if everything was going to our liking. And finally, Mike, our photographer, was the bomb. Quick, knows his stuff and really got some beautiful shots. definitely one of the best photographers I’ve seen.

That's Amore Productions went above and beyond expectations when it came to planning our wedding. With COVID causing over a year of delays, Johnny put us at ease by remaining flexible, reassuring us, and updating us regularly as restrictions and recommendations changed. Our guests had an amazing time despite doing things differently in COVID times. Johnny animated the evening in English and Italian, so that all our guests could understand, and organized several fun games for everyone to play and we are still getting positive feedback from our guests almost two months later! After going to five stores to find a certain light bulb, it was recommended that I try Buchanan lighting. As soon as i arrived Tim knew right away what I needed and had it in stock. Quick and easy. Very cheerful and knowledgeable staff. Prices were very reasonable and they are more than happy to provide you with a return and refund if you are not happy with your purchase for any reason. Can’t say enough good things about this business. It is rare these days to see this type of extraordinary customer service. They know their stuff!

Hadn't realized a fixture I bought during a reno required a specialty bulb. Couldn't find it online, in store, etc. Went into Buchanan, guy behind the counter looked at it for 2 seconds and said "Yeah, I have that!" 90 seconds after going in, I was going out with exactly the bulb I needed.

As a designer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many suppliers over the years, but this lighting company truly stands out. Their selection is not only beautifully curated but also versatile - perfect for both residential and commercial projects.

What I appreciate most is their professionalism, product knowledge, and attention to detail. They consistently go above and beyond to help me find the right fixtures, whether it’s for a sculptural statement piece or subtle ambient lighting.

It’s always a collaborative and smooth experience, and their team understands the importance of both function and aesthetics in design. Highly recommend them to anyone who values quality, service, and style.

Casa Di Luce had a great selection of lights for our new home and exactly what I was looking for. They had unique lights (we bought 7) that I did not see elsewhere. Marta was fantastic to work with. Professional, always prompt in answering emailed questions and kept us well informed on the status of our order and was quick to ship us the lights as they arrived and not hold them back to ship all at once. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was shopping for a new light fixture for my dining room and wandered into Casa Di Luce to see what they had to offer. I loved what I saw! Many interesting, creative, modern designs. I had many questions because I was going to be swagging a ceiling fixture to hang over my new dining room table. I had never required that kind of configuration. I was impressed with the level of attention I received from design consultant Xenia Botova. All my questions were addressed. She also provided suggestions that could work in my space. I love my new fixture - and decided to make it more unique by adding a cable cover I ordered from Etsy.

I ordered several lights from Casa Di Luce for my new condo and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Their team was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process, offering great advice and making sure everything fit my space and style. What really stood out was that they went above and beyond to source a few specific lights I had in mind—even though they weren’t listed on their website. Fantastic service and a great selection. Highly recommend!

We were recently in the process of choosing lighting for our new home, and our builder recommended Casa Di Luce. We visited the showroom and browsed on our own for a while. After settling on a fixture we liked, we asked the sales consultant if there were any discounts available.

She said she would check with someone, and a few minutes later returned to tell us that the online price had gone up, and that the in-store pricing hadn’t been updated yet. She said any discount would need to be calculated based on the new, higher online price.

She also mentioned that ordering the light would take 3–4 months, so we asked whether we could buy the floor model. Her response: yes, but it would still have to be priced based on the new online price.

Here’s the issue: the showroom price was around $2,700, but the “new price” she quoted from the website was $3,400 — a 25% increase. I can understand price adjustments over time, but a sudden 25% hike without any formal notice, explanation, or product changes feels completely unreasonable.

This isn’t a commodity that fluctuates wildly in price, nor is there any indication that material or tariff changes justify such a jump. In fact, the product we were interested in (Penta Glo) is not subject to tariffs in Canada.

Overall, it was a terrible shopping experience — it felt like outright deception.

The whole process left us questioning the transparency of their pricing and the genuineness of their sales approach. If you’re planning to shop here, I would strongly recommend verifying pricing in advance and not assuming the price tags reflect what you’ll actually be charged.

!!! Update after store response:

Appreciate the creative explanation, but unfortunately, it does not reflect what actually happened.

At no point did I request the “4ever” special edition finish. I specifically pointed to the floor model displayed in your showroom and asked for pricing on that exact fixture. I made no mention of any upgraded or alternate finishes.

It was extremely disappointing to later find out that the price quoted was for a different, more expensive version — without anyone clearly informing me of this during my visit. This feels misleading, especially when I took the time to ask about the showroom model directly.

I understand that product variations can affect pricing, but customers should not be left to assume those details. Transparent communication is key, and in this case, it was lacking.

I hope Casa Di Luce takes this feedback seriously and improves how pricing and product differences are explained to avoid similar confusion for others in the future.

They have a great and helpful staff and are very knowledgeable. Their showroom has a current assortment of fixtures and accessories. As well, they have every type of light bulb one could need. Good prices, good delivery. A pleasure to deal with..

I had gone for my Senior Prom and it was such a lovely venue the staff were so incredibly accommodating and kind, I had such a lovely time and I'm so happy that this was the venue for my last celebration in High-school! The speakers were great and the decor and photography opportunities were absolutely grandiose! I cannot express how kind and patient the staff were and I'm so utterly greatful for their kindness. Such a lovely venue made the night that much more special! I also really really appreciated the option of gender neutral bathrooms and the cleanliness of said bathrooms. Overall the whole experience was excellent!

What can I say about this place?

Well... A great beautiful place to have memorable moments, the staff, each one of them just flawless customer service, the food? Just extremely delicious!!! The servers, classy, professionals and friendly.

We hosted a Sufi Night at Empire Banquet Hall, and the experience was outstanding. Manjeet and Gurinder went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Even though I hired a sound engineer, they helped me maneuver through all the necessary vendors—personally contacting them and helping to arrange the services I needed. Their support with the sound system, decorations, and overall setup made a complex event feel effortless.

The food was unbelievable, and everyone was amazed not only by the facility but also by the warmth of the service and the exceptional quality of the food. Empire Banquet Hall truly delivered in every way, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a special event.

Ottawa Special Events is one of the best managed companies that I know of. They always exceed expectations for anything to do with event rentals including preparation, supplies, audio-visual, glow columns, tech and anything else required to always make eSAX events successful. I have never seen an organization value their staff so much, and it shows in everything they do. Every person working at Ottawa Special Events takes ownership of their task(s) to make sure the client is always happy. When events 'go off without a hitch', you know Ottawa Special Events is behind it. Best business in town!

I had the pleasure of working alongside some of your team at the Ottawa Cancer Foundation breakfast yesterday. When I arrived, they were working on the sound check and as the photographer for this event I was concerned about the lack of stage lighting. I asked one of your guys if there would be any additional stage lighting, and he responded with "no, but there could be". He went down to his car and came back with lighting. Doing this helped me deliver the best images I could, but MORE importantly, it greatly improved the viewing experience for everyone attending, ensuring the speakers were well-lit.
As an event photographer, I have worked with many AV companies, and I have never had someone respond to my suggestion/request with regards to lighting. My motto is "if you don't look good, I don't look good" and your team made us ALL look good yesterday. Well done!

Above & Beyond 5 Star Services for Glow Fair. As an event company our-self specializing in silent discos, we work with hundreds of companies worldwide. We had the pleasure of working with Ottawa Special Events for the production / logistics to put on a massive two night Silent Disco party selling out of 1,400 people. This is an event that has many moving parts with several activations hourly. To pull this off successful means they could do any size event.

We were most impressed with their work ethic and how each staff member not only took their task to the upmost importance, but it was clear they cared about taking responsibility for the entire event.

Fantastic DJ and Photo Booth for our Wedding!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Quality Entertainment for our wedding at the Brookstreet Hotel on May 3, 2025. From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless and easy. We loved their online portal, which made it so simple to submit all our wedding details and song requests in one place.

Our DJ, Dave, was incredible! He was so professional and curated the perfect playlist that had everyone on the dance floor all night long. He really understood the vibe we were going for and created such a fun and energetic atmosphere.

The photo booth was also a massive hit with our guests! It was set up early, was super easy to use, and came with great props. It added so much fun to the reception. We can't recommend Quality Entertainment enough for their amazing service!

I cannot effuse enough about the wonderful job Quality entertainment did for us at my daughter’s wedding this past weekend. Emma was our contact and she was available always, and so helpful! She worked hard to ensure we got exactly what we were hoping for. The disc jockey that they sent to our event was absolutely phenomenal. So thank you for that Dusson!! He was energetic. Engaging. Happy. Fantastic personality. It started with a request that he play Nat King Cole when my husband and I came up to do the mother father speech.. perfectly timed! I don’t have photos yet of how wild the dance floor was.. He didn’t just play songs he danced at his station with a huge smile on his face all night long. That dance floor did not stop moving until after 1 AM. THANK YOU DUSSON!… And on top of the fabulous And seamless music throughout the night, the Classic photo booth was a huge hit. I had friends, my age, Who couldn’t get near it because the 30 somethings couldn’t stay away from it. Honestly, if you have a wedding, use Capital Entertainment. And if you are very lucky, you will get Emma as your coordinator. And if you’re super lucky, you will get Dusson as your music guru. Thank you so much to all at your company for doing such a fabulous job. It was a huge success all around.

My first positive dress shopping experience! My stylist was Georgette and she was so incredibly helpful, encouraging, knowledgeable, and fun to shop with! Her attention to detail and understanding of bridal styles helped me narrow down my super broad ideas to what I wanted. The appointment wasn’t rushed and she wasn’t trying to make a sale and kick us out. She really listened and tailored the dresses she picked to what I was feeling or not. I did not find my dress here but it wasn’t because of a lack of dress selection or a bad stylist, I just decided to get a traditional dress made instead. There are so many different beautiful dresses here with a great size range and great price points too! I’m talking amazing high fashion, high quality gowns at affordable prices. This was also the first time I was able to try on all of the dresses in my size! 1000/10 experience at Sash and Bustle!

Every bride should check this boutique out when dress shopping. Maybe even make it your first stop and save yourself the trouble because it was such a great experience.

Full stars for everything. From the dress catalog to the service, everything was amazing. The stylist was Maemae and she truly made this experience one to remember forever. My friend was stuck between 2 beautiful options and Maemae was able to help guide her to choosing the best dress for her. We did decide to take some time to think on it, and they were so accommodating to let us come back later in the afternoon. We loved that there were private rooms for each of the brides to be and their group. It really set the experience apart from the other boutiques we went to. The selection of dresses was amazing. Can’t wait to come back when the rest of us get engaged

I went here for my first bridal shopping experience and I had such a positive and fun time! Justice was so helpful with figuring out what silhouettes and fabrics I liked - it's so different looking at a photo online versus it being on your body. I was able to try on about 10 dresses total, and I left with the names of my 3 favourites! I wasn't ready to purchase as it was my first visit, but I would definitely come back here. Thank you for all of the help and support while shopping!

I had a wonderful experience finding my dress at Sash & Bustle! I truly believe that the consultant makes or breaks the appointment, and Georgette was absolutely fantastic. She listened to my preferences when deciding what dresses to put me into, but also used her creativity to pick out the perfect dress for me! She interacted with my entire party, including my family on FaceTime, and made us all feel so welcome. The entire appointment was so professional and polished - we all left feeling very happy!

The space is extremely comfortable - we had our own private room with plenty of seating, great air conditioning, and lots of natural light for photos.

I feel truly grateful and fortunate that my very first wedding dress fitting took place at Sash + Bustle. From the very beginning, they were eager to get to know me, and on the day of my appointment, they had already prepared the perfect selection of gowns that suited my style. I couldn’t help but be impressed by such thoughtfulness and efficiency. Most of all, thanks to my stylist Georgette’s professionalism and attention to detail, I was able to try on all the dresses I had hoped for. With her guidance, I believe anyone will be able to find the wedding dress that feels just right for them.

Could not recommend more! We rented a sound system and uplights for our wedding and they worked beautifully. We rented some audio equipment for our wedding and had a stellar experience. The staff were really nice and the equipment was perfect and rented for a great price! They also went above and beyond to work with us after we lost a cord - sorry for that! We would highly recommend them!

I recently rented some karaoke equipment from Starlite for my birthday. The process of putting in the reservation was super easy. The customer service when picking up and dropping off was AMAZING. The guys were so nice and made it so easy. They provided all of the information I needed for setup and helped me load and unload my car. I will definitely be coming back to Starlite in the future! 5/5 stars!

This is a private members only facility, but if you are looking to become a member we are enjoying it! So far we have only participated with a younger age group, so my review may be different that older kids and adults.

Physically the track and space is well-maintained. Everyone takes care of the spaces around the park, and the track area is kept clean and in good condition. Recently replaced, and forward thinking in things like water mitigation and maintenance. There are bleachers for spectators and a covered area with picnic tables. Lots of garbage cans to contain waste and recyclables (but please take your trash when you leave).
Rules and regulations are very clearly laid out, between Canadian policies applied here as well as additional club-specific rules, everything is available online. We haven't participated in race events but see emails communicating detailed event-specific rules as required too. Safety is taken seriously.
Security is also maintained, protecting everyone's investment. Communication about how to access, who is allowed where, and when there are issues how they’re being handled.

From a specifically kid kart perspective, we are so impressed with how that is being managed. The parents running it make efforts to keep everything fair and transparent, but also have a great eye on the kids themselves to sort them for skill, safety, and even when & how to get remedial help when needed. Gathering for a group dinner is really nice to keep kids social and energy in check.

So much fun. Club is really well organized, instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. Bring a family member.

Today was one of the best days for my grandson, the staff are exceptional and wonderful with kids!! What an experience for my grandson and we will be back in 2 weeks on his birthday!!! He cannot wait to go back....thank-you to all the staff for such an amazing day....see you soon!!

The team at Tenue de Soirée is professional, dedicated, creative and very helpful. They were very generous with their time when helping us figure out suitable decorations for our wedding, they have a large selection of beautiful items and original ideas on how to use them.

They both took the time to personally set up the linens, the candles, the vases, and even brought in glassware and plates (which they don't rent), just to paint the full picture! And we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. They helped make our vision a reality.

I gave Amanda a few photos and ideas and from there she made magic.

We had our wedding at Venue 308 on August 17 and both wanted to post a review because our experience was so, so excellent. In addition to being a beautiful space, this venue boasts a team of event professionals who went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Communication leading up to the day was seamless and prompt, with lots of opportunities to amend our contract along the way (adding and removing services as our plan evolved). We opted to include month-of coordination through the venue, provided by Sarah Schmidt, who was an angel and a pro and a delight to coordinate with. She made the day itself run so smoothly that we could just enjoy ourselves knowing she had things handled behind the scenes. Everyone we interacted with up to and on the day was helpful, kind, and knowledgable (so many thanks to Chris, Amanda, Andrea, Seb, and Caro) - they could have done half as much as they did and still would have fulfilled the terms of the contract. The Venue offers a list of recommended vendors (so helpful!) but does not penalize you if you choose others (much appreciated!), in addition to offering an in-house decor package rental that is worth it if you use as much of their stuff as possible.
Thank you to the team for everything, we had the best time and appreciated every kindness along the way.

We had our wedding at Venue308 a few weekends ago, and it was incredible! The space is beautiful, and the extra room we rented for the cocktail hour was perfect for the 85 guests we had. Our 50 person wedding reception at Venue308 last summer was a dream. When I first walked through the venue I immediately knew it was the venue for us. It is so beautiful and unique in the details & incredibly well thought out spaces.

The bridal and groom suite are just so cool and made for such a great getting ready process. I love that they’re on different floors of the venue so we could both be there without seeing each other.

The planning process was made easy by the streamlined systems Venue308 has in place. I loved using the digital floor plan to plan where all the decor and seating would go. The ability to use the venue’s decor was a major selling point for me as it eliminated needing to add in an additional vendor.

All of the staff we worked with over the lengthy planning process were incredibly accommodating and flexible - even with multiple date changes due to COVID. We felt so taken care of and it really changed the expectations we had for customer service from other vendors!

Our wedding day was perfect in this stunning space, all of our guests just loved it. I will forever recommend this venue to everyone.

I had my wedding a couple weeks ago and I just wanted to take a moment to shout out the entire team at Venue 308, it is truly a beautiful space.
One of the features that sold it for us is there is getting ready areas for both bride and groom within the same building. You can have your ceremony and reception there, which makes it so much easier for everyone! They also offer a decor package at a fixed price, and you’re able to use anything from their inventory. This was so helpful cause they have basically everything you need, from arches, to variety of table numbers, to tea light candles its very extensive and honestly worth it! We only had to use minimal items of our own.
The entire team at the venue is so awesome, and offers exceptional service! They were very helpful, and was there with me every step in the planning process. They also just opened up a new event space right beside this venue and we were able to rent it for photo’s at a very reasonable rate, it would also make a great cocktail area. They truly think of every detail here, and we can’t recommend them enough! We are looking for a reason to book another event here cause it was the best day ever!

Amre Supply has been a huge gift when needing an emergency part. They always seem to have it in stock. Great staff, friendly environment, clean and a huge selection of product. I would highly recommend Amre to anyone and everyone. Replaced the old capacitor with a brand new one on my AC.

We had a great experience today at Amre Supply! We have been looking all over the place for a very specific part on a very specific dishwasher. David knew exactly what we were looking for (even though we didn’t have a model number…) and had it on hand! I’m impressed, we will definitely come back!

Needed a sacrificial anode for my water heater and found of Google that these guys had one. I was super happy dealing with David Mowser, he recommended I also replace the heat trap insert, and put a drip cap on my water outlet. Very happy with the pro plumbing service and that they had the parts for my tank. Definitely coming back.

Our experience with Canvas and Loft was nothing short of excellent. From the moment we stepped into their beautiful showroom on Macleod Trail, Mark made the entire process seamless. He guided us through all the sectional options, explained the different materials in detail, and helped us choose the perfect fit for our home.
Even with our kids in tow, the visit was stress-free thanks to the thoughtful snack bar that kept them happy and occupied. Mark went above and beyond to estimate delivery timelines, and the customer service team kept us updated on every step of the process—even when minor delays (beyond their control) arose.
Once our Manhattan sectional and ottoman arrived, delivery was quick and efficient. The team provided a 30-minute heads-up before arriving, handled setup with ease, and arranged everything exactly as we wanted.

Highly recommend going to Canvas and Loft for your furniture. From walking into the store and being greeted by friendly and helpful staff, the whole shopping experience was enjoyable and I never once felt pressured. The staff member which I forgot his name was really interested in finding what worked best for our house and family. The items were in back stock and I emailed to follow up with our order and she was able to get all of our items delivered earlier than expected. Delivery date came and I was pleasantly surprised the delivery guys set everything up for us!

The couch-buying process at Canvas and Loft was everything one could hope for! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and friendly without being pushy. We had the pleasure of working with Tim, who was not only knowledgeable and professional during the sale but also went above and beyond to assist with delivery coordination afterward.
Beyond the excellent service, the store offers complimentary coffee and snacks, which was a tremendous help, especially with a toddler in tow.

Bought a king sized bed last week. Service was excellent from the moment I walked into the store. Kamal is an exceptional sales rep!! Delivery was quick but the bed was missing a few screws for the cross supports. Troy from Customer Choice was back in a heart beat to fully secure all cross supports. Honestly, making an impromptu stop in at Canvas & Loft was the best thing I did that week! I would highly recommend the place!!

So far, so great! My husband and I both work 6 & 7 days a week so this makes it hard to shop for big money purchases like this together. We managed this past Sunday (yesterday, sept 28, 25) to spend the day shopping and looking for the perfect sectional & ottoman. We think we found it. We spoke with Mark (who is a great guy and very pleasant & easy to deal with) and then left the store to shop around and pursue other potential options because we had some concerns about some of the reviews about the length of time for delivery.
In short, we decided that the Canvas & Loft sectional was the one we couldn't get out of our heads. After great discussion. We slept on the decision deciding the next morning to go ahead and take a chance. I called Mark the next day to answer any questions we had and was assured that delivery to the warehouse would be Oct 6th and that delivery to our home will be the second week of October. I will update this review accordingly. If everything works out like promised... then this was quite literally the most hassle free and easiest purchase we have ever made, and I would highly recommend. Limited hours which is understandable. But I came exactly at three today there was also 6 other people waiting and they had all
Left before the store even opened, as it didn't open until closer to 3:30.

Another customer who was waiting said this is a common occurance. I understand if you're the only people working but you should understand people are coming out of their way to use your business and you should try to be more respectful of other peoples time, and energy.

After reading some of your other negative reviews I can only assume you'll have a comeback to this comment. I only hope you can take this as a word of an advice and at least put a sign out letting people know that times may not be accurate.
