I booked Brie & Banquet Wild Catering Co. for my baby shower and they completely blew me away! Working with their team was such a pleasure — the booking process was seamless, and they offered so many beautiful options to choose from.

The final setup was a stunning blue-themed floral spread inspired by high tea, and it exceeded all expectations. My guests and I were absolutely in love with both the presentation and the food — everything was incredibly delicious.

This is a 20/10 experience, and I would recommend them to anyone planning an event. I’ll definitely be using them again in the near future. A big thank you to Katie and her team for making my shower so special!

Katie, was here to set up the amazing grazing table for my daughters bridal shower and when she was done, it was spectacular and phenomenal. My mom & fiancé’s mom catered my bridal shower with Brie & Banquet & it was an absolute dream for me & all of our guests. I couldn’t have imagined a prettier display. They did an absolutely fantastic job setting up quickly before I arrived, and made the spread look like a dream with florals, and cute display cards. I highly, highly recommend this company!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Canvas in October 2024 and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Beautiful space located near the canal, which was great for pictures. Food was very good, highly recommend any of the delicious canapés! We loved the unique bring your own alcohol option and the bartender John was awesome throughout the night. Can't say enough about how accommodating and caring Mike and his entire staff were throughout the evening and planning process. Prices are very reasonable and Mike is transparent and clearly outlines everything from the start. Overall we had an amazing time and would highly recommend Canvas!

We had our wedding there last week and it was absolutely amazing. From the food to the staff, everything exceeded our expectations. We received very positive feedback from our guests on the food. The venue is beautiful on its own, very unique. The planning also went smoothly as the manager is experienced and knew to reassure us. Thank you so much!!

My mom and I did a brunch and paint and had an amazing time! The two girls were so helpful, and the painting class was SO approachable! Having both never painted before we were worried but we both left we something we totally love! Can’t wait to do another class.

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at Canvas Montreal two weeks ago, and we could have not been more satisfied! Mike, he was fantastic at realizing all of our wishes and working together to create a unique space for our wedding! Carmen, John (the bartender) and the two other staff members that day/night were equally fantastic - keeping us and all of our guests happy throughout the entire evening! We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, laughter and the way they welcomed us. The space itself is beautiful, I call it a blank canvas. If you are someone who loves to make a space unique and your own, this cozy loft space is Perfect for you! And I should not forget to mention that the food was Delicious! All of our guests were happy to be served hot and tasty meals throughout our reception! We were 100 percent satisfied booking with Canvas for our special day. Not only were booking prices fair, but Mike was incredibly transparent with every single aspect of the space and the services they offer (which many other wedding venues which we researched hide their fees and services - Mike was always 100 percent and on the table). We felt so comfortable with him and his staff that I'm proud to say we would recommend Canvas to anyone as they make you feel comfortable, welcome and at home! Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and fantastic people! 10/10

Great dinner tonight at Ember. The IPA recommended by our server, Shane, was local and perfectly balanced. My Poblano and Passionfruit cocktail was a wee bit smoky and just sweet enough. A satisfying choice, though a little heat would not be amiss in such a drink. We shared a burger and fries. The burger was a double patty, double bacon delight. The rosemary fries were crispy and chewy and salty. Just what they should have been. Because we shared the main, we had room for basque cheesecake for dessert. Ember makes a really good example of this variety of cheesecake; it was creamy and well flavoured. It was also dressed up with a pretty toasted meringue top, a raspberry compote, and cookie crumbles that hubby thought all fit the bill, but I thought detracted from the pure cheesecake experience. To each their own! Shout out to Shane who was a knowledgeable and engaging server. He knew his wines and his cheesecake! Thanks for a great night. Highly recommend Ember and Shane.

Lovely restaurant! The ambiance was light and welcoming, the food amazing, the drinks strong, but best of all was Reggie’s service. He was so attentive and considerate when bringing out dishes and making sure everything was good with our table. Thank you Reggie for making the experience all the more pleasant!

Overall food was great and so was the service. We first didn't like our drinks then they offered to get us knew ones. Everyone liked what they ordered. We sat by the widow which opens so felt like you were on a patio.

Really enjoyed our experience. We ordered a few dishes to share and a main each. Everything is full of flavour, and the presentation is really nice as well. I enjoyed appetizers more than my steak. It was a little dry. Drinks are good as well.

Easy to find. Was seated right away. Very prompt service and attentive throughout. Possibly too quick to wrap up our visit. Our waitress and her support staff were really on the ball. We were hoping for a bit more of a relaxed approach so that we could visit and talk, however, when we asked for boxes to take our leftovers home, our plates were cleared, bills were presented and payment machines were brought out. We would have liked coffee and dessert, but we felt pressure to leave. We asked for recommendations for a coffee and dessert place and we were given several "date" appropriate places. My employer and I had a chuckle about that.
The food was delish. Zero complaints. Will be back to try more dishes. My employer had the beef cheek pizza which looked amazing and she really enjoyed it. I had the crispy tuna appetizer and chorizo rigatoni which was so good, really good. My G&T was wonderfully fresh!
The seating was comfortable on the patio. Vibrant location. Never went inside, so unable to comment.
Only minor mishap was ending our visit earlier than we would have liked, but the next visit I will say something.
Definitely recommend!!!

Service was very slow here. We would have also valued that our server at least gave us a heads up that we didn't need a 4lb fish, that we could've been okey with a smaller fish, but she insisted in the bigger one.

Haven’t been here for 20 years and was curious to return. The decor is pretty much the same. We went for lunch wish was a much smaller menu. $49
I had a small appetizer of grilled octopus on a bed of green pea hummus. Then shared 2 meals. One was grilled veggies with a tiny piece of cheese. The other was grilled fish with capers. They were both good together. I had the baklava Ice cream which was very good. The person I was with had the walnut cake which was not my favourite. We finished with a nice cup of Greek tea.

The food was great
However not a lot of meat choices so I give them 3 starts to add more non fish eater choices .

We have had 3 anniversary dinners at Gezellig and have been impressed each time. You can tell they have high standards for service and the food is always perfect, expertly prepared and plated. Amazing branch place in the heart of Westboro! The service was outstanding, the the food was excellent and the ambiance was just exactly what you would want in a restaurant. I really appreciate the concept that we can try two different things from the menu. Definitely one of the places I would recommend to anyone!

Located on the Western side of the heart of Ottawa, the restaurant offers a seasonal menu to renew its offerings and a rich choice of drink. I had the duck breast and the iconic butterfinger. A bit pricey, however the food was excellent.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and overall had a lovely evening. The staff was warm and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean and welcoming.

We started with the ciabatta bread, which came with a note that part of the proceeds go to the Ottawa Network for Education—such a thoughtful initiative! It would be even better if they shared how much is donated per order to give guests a clearer sense of the impact.

For appetizers, we had the mussels and fries. The mussels were perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned.

For our mains, we tried the duck breast and the grilled striploin. The duck breast was incredible—the portion size was just right, and the combination of tender duck, orange marmalade, and white bean purée was a standout. Every bite was delicious. The striploin was good and well-cooked, but didn’t quite leave a lasting impression.

To finish, we shared the lemon cream brûlée with a coffee. It was unique and refreshing—a perfect way to end the meal.

We also had two non-alcoholic drinks, which were well-crafted and really enjoyable.

The atmosphere was calm, but maybe a little too quiet—some background music at a higher volume could really enhance the vibe.

Since it was our anniversary and my partner mentioned it in the reservation, we did appreciate the candle and the “happy anniversary” greeting, but a small on-the-house gesture (like a dessert or drink) would’ve made it feel more special and memorable.

All in all, a great dinner with a few small areas that could make the experience feel even more elevated. Would recommend!

Ash (amazing person) was our server but we were waited on by at least 4 people. Great food and service. Went for my daughter's birthday lunch.

Tonight’s experience was absolutely super fulfilling. Our waitress Joline recommended delicious dishes to us when we weren’t sure what to order. She was super attentive and sweet! Our Spicy Crab Dip was phenomenal, loved the sour dough bread! The dip was creamy and delicious. My steak was really nicely done to medium rare, which is exactly how I like it. The Ravioli with the steak topped the meal off, my godmother ended up stealing Ravioli from me straight off my plate because it was so good. Definitely recommend!

Sarah was excellent as a server. She made sure we got our food in short order as we were going to a show. Very personable. Food was as delicious. Atmosphere was hopping. Totally enjoyed ourselves.

Everyone treated my date and I so nicely, especially our server Brooke. She was very helpful answering all of our questions and even giving us recommendations such as the incredible espresso martini that she raved about. She constantly acknowledged us and kept making sure we were satisfied and even making sure our water never ran out. She was very sweet and make our date night incredible. She got us a delicious dessert that was on the house. It was so thoughtful! I don’t think we’ve ever been to a place with such care for its customers and even our server going out of her way to make it a special night. 11/10 We will absolutely recommend this place to family and friends!

I haven’t eaten at a chain or franchise in maybe 5 years. Toronto has so much food to offer, I’ll rather explore those dishes.

But my wife said she wanted the Bellini from Joey’s so we went.

Extremely shocked by how yummy the food was. Impressed!! The donut soft with the perfect amount of sweetness, the wings was easily the best wings I’ve ever had.

HOWEVER, it took 30 mins for truffle and Parmesan cheese fries and the donut to come out and 50 mins for chicken wings to come out.
The only reason it should take that long is if the chicken was running loose in the kitchen and they were picking the potatoes from the farm.

The server was very pleasant actually, the only issue was how long it took.

I had a decent experience at this restaurant. The food was good, except the fries were way too salty. I tried their poke bowl and tuna bowl both had way more rice than protein. The vibe of the place is amazing, and there are plenty of seating options to choose from. I chose the booth-patio by the window, which wasn’t the most comfortable spot. It’s not a bad place at all- I just had higher expectations based on the reviews I’d read and the vibe I was expecting!

We went to Joeys with a reservation for a special occasion. The place was packed on a Saturday night. Initially we were disappointed to be sitting at a high table but the chairs were atypically comfortable and our server Lauren W was wonderful. Our food was yummy and hot (cod and steak dishes) and very nicely presented. The eggroll/mashed potatoes were especially interesting. Lauren was attentive throughout but without being intrusive. She noticed the notation in our reservation and brought us a complimentary dessert which was a nice way to end our meal. It’s not our first time at Joeys and I know it won’t be our last.

Came to JOEY Lansdowne the other night to celebrate my birthday off a recommendation from my friend and had an astounding time. The host was very quick to seat us and even offered sparkling wine. While we waited for our server we got offered free samples of the blackened chicken and it was so good I had to order it for my main course. The apps were quick, hot and delicious big compliments to the chefs. Our server Kat was one of the most knowledgeable, warm and professional servers I've ever had and highly recommend asking for her if you ever come. Mains were delicious, I had the blackened chicken like I said and my friend had the sushi which she really enjoyed. Kat arranged for a birthday dessert to get sent to the table and it was a really sweet gesture. One of the chefs, Camron I think it was? brought the board out and it was clear the whole team at JOEY cares about the guests. Truly incredible experience and a birthday I'll remember for a lifetime

I came here to eat with my friend. My friend told me this place was really good, but I can only say I'm very disappointed.

I'm extremely unhappy and angry. I should have given three stars, but I'm satisfied with how they handled my complaint, so I'm giving four stars.

My friend had their hand raised for five minutes hoping someone would come over, but no one did. Looks like nobody care us.

The steak seemed like it had been frozen for ages and just taken out. Even my friend noticed – when cutting it, the meat was falling apart completely, lacking the integrity a fresh steak should have. This isn't how even an *aged* steak should be. (As someone who holds a diploma in Culinary Arts, I truly cannot accept a steak like this.)

The sides were mushy and tasted overwhelmingly of burnt, bitter flavor. The mushrooms were way too salty. Oh my god, it *looked* delicious, but it tasted awful. I'm a serious foodie, and I stand by my review and feelings.

A solid dining experience for sure. I would start by saying that this is a noisier place to eat at, but if that isn't a deterrent, you won't be disappointed by their offerings.

Went mid-week for dinner and was actually pleased to see how bustling it was. The outdoor setup was a good size and many were taking advantage of the warmer evening temperatures. Plenty of room inside as well, with moody lighting.

Appreciated that they offered low alcohol beverage options, of which I indulged. Then came my delicious sushi and steak combo, cooked just as I had asked. Finished it off with the half portion creme brulee cheesecake that was delicious, and definitely the perfect serving size. Would certain return again.

We had such a great time at Joey’s in Rideau! The crispy tofu bowl and Szechuan lettuce wraps were packed with flavor, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and the Negroni was spot on. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the service was attentive throughout. A fantastic spot for both food and drinks, highly recommend!

If you’re going on the weekend, I’d recommend making a reservation, we waited about 15 minutes as we just walked in.

I had an amazing birthday lunch at Joey Restaurant! The staff were welcoming, polite, and attentive, always making sure our big group had everything we needed. They were so patient and made the experience seamless. To top it off, they surprised me with a thoughtful birthday gesture that made the day extra special.

From the moment we walked into Joey Rideau, we felt welcomed and appreciated. Our experience started off on a high note with a complimentary glass of non-alcoholic sparkling wine. What a thoughtful touch!

Our dining experience was more on the expensive side this time around. However, you can most definitely get away with spending little due to their amazing happy hour options. We ordered the steak with lobster, lobster spaghetti, truffle parmesan fries, and their signature sangria. The steak was cooked spot on: medium rare and just a touch on the rare side, exactly how I wanted it and mentioned from the get-go. Everything arrived promptly, which made the whole experience feel smooth and well-paced. We placed 4 happy hour sangrias, which were perfectly balanced and refreshing.

What really stood out was the service. Our server, Ace, was wonderful, attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging. She even surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate, which made the evening feel extra special.

The restaurant itself is immaculate: spotlessly clean with a smart, stylish setup that immediately catches your eye. The ambiance was electric, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable night out. Overall, Joey Rideau exceeded expectations in every way. I would come back in a heartbeat!

The food was delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Our server, Ariana, was exceptional—attentive, warm, and always smiling. She made sure we had everything we needed and more.

To top it off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert—it was absolutely sublime and a lovely gesture.

Superb restaurant and bar that is perfect for any occasion. The atmosphere is very dimly lit and intimate, it almost feels like a night club without the super loud music. The food is delicious and well made. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The interior is beautiful, nice aesthetic with an open area for the bar and view of the kitchen. Huge as well with lots of seating.

It’s surprising that after so many years living in Montreal, I had never heard of this restaurant until now. It’s a very classic spot with traditional Franco-Québécois cuisine. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was excellent (definitely 5 stars), and the parking was convenient.

That said, I do have a few small notes: the soup was a bit too sweet for my taste, and while the sourdough bread was absolutely delicious, we had to ask for it three times and finally received it about 20 minutes later, and it wasn’t complimentary. The ketchup for the French fries also took another 20 minutes to arrive.

Other than that, everything was great—very much worth the visit.

Atmosphere: Cosy cabin like atmosphere. We got seated upstairs which is a high ceiling room (attic). Downstairs main room is a natural wood space.

Service: Service is fine. Email or Reservations taken care of very quickly.

Food: I always go for the tasting menu which is about 4-5 courses priced reasonably. This is one of the few spots that does a nice fois gras in it's true form and one reason I would choose this place. Appetizers are always interesting and this time was a leek dish which was mind blowing. Main is always something different than you would find at restaurants and I'm open to new game (meats). Dessert they have a lot of stuff that I want to try outside of what is included in the menu but its not just a slice of cake, very well presented.

Being in the West Island, it's a hidden gem.

Rating 5/5 for value and taste and service.
Note: Downtown has a lot of restaurants that would be 5/5 but prices are a good 50%+ more. Keep that in mind.

We hosted our daughter's baptism at La Maison Verte. We were a group of 32 people. Everything was perfect and it exceeded all our expectations. Our guests were pleased with the food, atmosphere and service. We had our own private dining area.

I Will definitely Come back to try their menu.

This Family-owned restaurant has been in the heart of Pierrefonds for many years now.
In the summer, the best place to be is on the terrace where you can enjoy the view of Rivière Des Prairies.
The dishes are always exquisite, tasty and fresh. Love the crème brûlée! My favourite dessert! Friendly staff and attentive owner.

I went to this amazing place for the first time yesterday to meet a friend, and I had such a wonderful experience! Huge shoutout to TAYLOR Honestly, you made my whole visit unforgettable! So kind, so caring, and truly went above and beyond. It felt less like customer service and more like being welcomed by a friend who wants you to have the best time ever. The interior design was beautiful, and the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. 🍰 I can already tell this will be one of my new go-to spots!

I was a bit disappointed with my meal overall, though there were a few highlights.

The salmon tartare was overly spicy, which unfortunately masked the natural freshness and delicate flavor of the salmon. The avocado mousse that accompanied it was also quite spicy, which didn’t help balance the dish. I was hoping for more freshness and contrast, but everything felt a bit overpowering.

The bruschetta was another letdown. The tomatoes tasted like they had been prepped the day before – not spoiled, but just shy of fresh. It gave the impression that the dish had been sitting a while, which took away from the typical bright, juicy flavor you’d expect from good bruschetta.

The side salad came without any dressing, which made it quite plain. Even a light vinaigrette would’ve elevated it significantly.

That said, the calamari were absolutely excellent – crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. Definitely the highlight of the meal and a big yes from me.

Overall, some dishes showed potential, but the experience lacked the freshness and balance I was expecting.

10/10 experience and will be back for sure! Cannot recommend this place enough. Hano was very helpful when I called to make a reservation for my dad’s 65th. The entire team was also very easy to work with and accommodating, our server was particularly nice and made awesome recommendations. 10/10 food and drinks and I particularly enjoyed the gnocchi. It also happened to be a Jazz night which was really fun to attend.

The atmosphere at Lavender Grill is absolutely beautiful—warm, intimate, and effortlessly stylish. With its dim lighting and cozy seating, it’s the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a romantic date. The touches of hanging lavender added a lovely, elegant charm to the space; I just wish it was used more consistently throughout the restaurant, as it really elevated the ambiance where it was present.

Our server, Shelley, was fantastic—so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. She really enhanced our dining experience with her thoughtful recommendations. Thanks to her, we tried the pomegranate margarita and the gnocchi, and both were a hit. The margarita was refreshing with just the right balance of sweet and tart, and the gnocchi was rich, pillowy, and full of flavour.

All in all, a wonderful evening!

The ad is so misleading!! Booked for a Candlelight concert which looked beautiful in pictures. Selected the best seats possible (A section). The ambiance was nothing like what was shown on the website.
The musicians saved the day because the music was amazing, but the experience felt cheap.

Had such a blast on the Valentine's jazz night.
It's pretty sad to have to rate four stars instead of five for some of small things during it.

First of all, the food, the staff, the band, the singer, the wine, atmosphere, location, everything I mentioned above is beyond AMAZING! No complaints on those at all.

Sadly I didn't quite enjoy the cocktails so much, we ordered two different cocktails and neither of them can step up with our high expectations, with the price and all the good things I mentioned above.

For sure this place is perfect for special occasions, as it's a fancy place to dine, behind and inside of an old church. That part I think it's brilliant!

The toilets are quite limited as it's inside the old church but it was not packed at all so I don't find this a negative thing.

In summary, best fancy place for live music, food, wine selections not so much for cocktails (in my opinion) OR maybe if you try different cocktails it would have been better. Still recommended!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending Brunch Gospel with Michelle Sweeney and the Gospel Tribe at the Balcon on the 28th, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was really good but the highlight for me was the music. Michelle Sweeney and the Gospel Tribe delivered performances that were nothing short of electrifying. It was a good way to enjoy great food while being uplifted by incredible live gospel music.

This place is in the former chapel of the St. James church (I have been told). Just fabulous. The gospel choir is outstanding, the eggs Benedict were very enjoyable and Norman, our waiter, was great!

I have been to Maison Boulud dozens of times for brunch, lunch and dinner and it never disappoints. The setting inside the Ritz Carlton is elegant, with the terrace in summer being one of the best spots in the city.

I mostly enjoy the meat options but the fish dishes are equally well executed. Drinks are always on point and the bartenders here are among the best in town. Service is consistently attentive and professional and desserts like the chocolate coulant are unforgettable.

Yes, it is a splurge but worth every visit. One of Montreal’s finest dining experiences.

Came here for both their lunch special and their dinner tasting menu.

The lunch special is definitely worth it. For 50$, you get an entree, a main meal and a dessert along with their bread service and their madeleine at the end. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Their dinner menu has more services but is also way more expensive.

The inside is beautiful and it’s the perfect place for a nice meal with friends and family.

Came here to celebrate my brothers 51st birthday with family. Maison Boulud did nothing but compliment the celebration festivities with brilliant dinner choices with pristine presentation combined with A+++ service made the evening a very memorable one. I would not hesitate to order anything that this menu has to offer beyond the images and highly recommend pairing with champagne.

Intimate restaurant with good wine list plus wines on tap, with tapas style plates. Excellent service and very friendly. They offer white, red, rose, and orange wines on tap which is pretty great. The prices were very reasonable for the wine. They also offer bottles for purchase too.
The food is tapas style so expect smaller plates for sharing. It's french cuisine, and the menu is rotated out regularly. I give the food 3 stars since it isn't very flavorful in my opinion.

Everything was excellent overall! The restaurant is beautiful, the terrace is stunning, and the attention to detail makes it such a perfect place for a cozy dinner. The food and drinks were amazing — great cocktails, really good wine, and a menu that changes often so there’s always something new to try. The only downside was that the service we had that night wasn’t the friendliest, but it happens. Still, I’d definitely recommend this spot!

Saw a recommendation about this place on YouTube and it was a fabulous breakfast spot. The eggs Benedict were tasty with a little kick and the potatoes were crunchy.

Had a latte with a honey shot of espresso which was perfect if you are a person that adds sugar to your coffee.

The service was also lovely. The pancakes are sweet and had a great bite to them. Definitely recommend this place!

The best food experience I have had in a long time. Ordered: Turkish coffee, Shish Tawook Club Sandwich with fries and a side of greens, Yuzu refresher. There is a bit of a wait as each table seems to be prepared separately and the wait is worth it. The Turkish coffee was really good. The sandwiches absolutely out of the world. The bread was toasted to perfection and the flavours of everything on the sandwich combined so perfectly. The fries were cooked to crispy perfection as well and even the greens were dressed with a dressing that was so good. The Yuzu refresher paired perfectly with the sandwich. The server was delightful and helpful. Definitely recommend this restaurant and I will go back.

What a beautiful hidden gem. We were looking for a brunch spot and the larger restaurants weren’t jumping out to us. We ordered the mimosa for 2, it easily could have served 4 (not upset by this what great value!!!)! The avocado toast was packed with flavour and the perfect amount of food to not be over stuffed. The presentation was beautiful, unlike some reviews I had seen at other spots where the food looks nothing like the photos in the menu. Every dish that passed us looked delicious! Thank you Sophie for your exceptional service! Loved the atmosphere. If we lived here we would be back!

Nice place. Friendly service. A great twist on classic brunch foods. Portions were perfectly sized for me but others may want to order more than one plate. I had the ultimate toast and a pistachio latte

The venue is great in terms of occupancy and ambience. The food was alright but could have been better, the entrées with cheese and Samosas were good but steak with mayo was a really bad combination for some reason steak was really rubbery.

For Drinks, we ordered gin + tonic and some Guinness they were perfect as usual!!

After a bit of a venue search for a union sub-group AGM for 44 people, I randomly called a few pubs and MCHall seemed like the best in terms of our needs and price, and it didn't disappoint. The room itself was a nice intimate atmosphere, with suitable presentation facilities. The food and service was excellent. They accommodated a 5-piece band that we brought along no problem. Setup for the band and presentations was easy and the sound was excellent. A great evening all round and we'll be going back next year.

We had our wedding reception here and all the guests raved about the food. The ambiance and staff were friendly and helpful as well.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal on the patio last evening. The service was excellent; attentive and well informed. We absolutely loved the caprese salad and both enjoyed our linguine and papardelle pasta selection. It all paired perfectly with our Mazzolino Chardonnay (fantastic wine list). We finished with a gorgeous Tiramisu, which was light, creamy and not too sweet. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this restaurant for a girls or date night!

Complete disappointment. Me and my family are foodies. We travel around the world and love to try food everywhere. We were super excited to eat at this restaurant based on the reviews, our expectations were good! Sadly it started with the waiters being rude and completely ignorant, like they were doing us a favor bringing the food or taking the order. I mean I understand we had 12 people but we sat at 3 different tables to make it easier. We ordered appetisers: polpo, carpaccio and bruschetta. The bruschetta was delicious hands down. Polpo and carpaccio was a fail. Not enough flavor and freshness. We also ordered: gnocchi, linguine, pappardelle, tagliatelle and few more pastas and tagliatelle was the only one that was good. I mean This place is a FAIL mostly and not worth it he price or experience:( Our bill was close to $800 I do not recommend this place.

Good Italian food coming in generous portions. The texture of the 4 pasta we tried was great. The accompanying sauces were tasty. Mussels and polpo were worth. The bruschetta wasn’t. The ambiance was way too loud, killing the appetite. Tim did his best to accommodate us but it was one of these busy nights. We will circle back later on a quieter evening to really enjoy the food.

This is not a place to celebrate special occasions. No mention or acknowledgment was made for the bday we celebrated.

The first visit featured an extremely oily pappardelle. Almost inedible and the taste of the lamb wasn't there. They were lovely enough to comp it. The second visit had a better tagliatelle. The tomatoes were sweet and but they should have been cooked a bit longer.

In general I find the restaurant a little sloppy. Things like starting to twirl pasta with tongs then covering it twirl with pasta so it was pointless. Or throwing tasting spoons carelessly. The cloth used to wipe plates didn't appear to be changed a single time I was there.

The front of house was very pleasant and I will compliment the excellent pasta texture. The pappardelle has very good mouth feel but these aren't enough to warrant any more visits from me. There is better pasta in town.

I don’t go out for fancy food very often, but this was my brother’s treat. I am forever in his debt! Almost everything g we had was spectacular. The capreze salad, asparagus, rib eye, and focaccia were the highlights. Only disappointment for me was the prawn risotto - but my sister in law loved it. My generous brother paid the bill so I don’t know what it cost. But I know the food was incredible!

We made a reservation for our family of five, including my 8-year-old son and my parents who are in their 60s. For appetizers, we ordered bone marrow, beef pot, foie gras with bread, and grilled octopus — all were absolutely delicious. For the main dishes, we had lobster, duck leg, and lamb, which was especially tender and flavorful.

The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very friendly and took the time to explain that all the ingredients come directly from the owner’s farm to the table, which made the experience even more special.

The whole dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. We did not encounter any of the discrimination mentioned in some previous comments; on the contrary, everything felt professional and welcoming. Overall, it was a truly wonderful meal, and we’re very grateful to the team for making it so memorable.

Walked into Monarque and instantly felt the mix of old-world charm and modern polish. The vibe alone sets the stage, but the food? Next level.

My favorites:
Bone marrow with escargot — rich, savory, absolutely killer.

Bouillabaisse — deep, saffron-kissed broth loaded with fresh seafood.

Lobster Thermidor — decadent, creamy, and perfectly old-school French.

And believe it or not, the melon cocktail stole the show. Light, refreshing, the perfect reset between all that richness.

Service was smooth, space is stunning, and every plate felt like it was crafted with purpose. If you want a spot where classic French technique meets a bit of modern swagger, Monarque delivers.

I’d say the ratings for this restaurant are a bit overhyped. While the overall quality is solid, it’s not necessarily a must-visit spot.

That said, a few dishes stood out:
• The bone marrow with Burgundy snails was a great fusion — the richness of the marrow paired beautifully with the wine-infused snails.
• The fish and seafood bouillabaisse was surprisingly light and fresh — not salty at all, with a sweet, almost pumpkin-like orange broth. The mix of scallops, shrimp, and fish made it quite hearty and well-balanced.
• The morel mushrooms with asparagus also offered a fresh and flavorful combination.

Good food overall, but not quite as unforgettable as the ratings might suggest.

I visited Monaque today after an 8.5-hour drive, really looking forward to dining at their main kitchen. However, due to my misunderstanding of French during the reservation process, I ended up booking the wrong kitchen. I was quite disappointed, as this was one of my most anticipated spots in Montreal.

Feeling quite disappointed, I explained my situation to Louis, who warmly listened and introduced me to Oliver. Thanks to Oliver’s efforts and coordination, I was finally able to get a seat at the kitchen I truly wanted. Sophie then took over our table with impeccable service — she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations throughout the evening.

While the food didn’t quite live up to my very high expectations, it was still enjoyable and definitely worth the price. The fish Sophie recommended turned out to be the highlight of my meal — absolutely delicious!

Thanks to Louis, Oliver, and Sophie, I experienced the true charm of a French restaurant. Their warmth and hospitality made this meal the perfect ending to my trip to Montreal.

Definitely make reservations, we made reservations a little before we came on Open Table and while we were waiting to be seated two other groups came and were turned away since they didn't have reservations.

The wine collection on shelves over the bar was very impressive. I normally don't see that much wine in a restaurant.

I got their special appetizer of the day with tuna, and it was fresh, delicious and plenty for me to have as an entree with the addition of the potatoes au gratin/scalloped potatoes side. It was enough to share and had paper thin slices of potatoes in a delicious white sauce. It was even better than mom's!

We were at a table across from the bar, and they are pretty close together. There is another bigger dining section in the back. Really good food but it was a bit noisy with the packed bar and restaurant.

The host and waiter spoke English fluently.

We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday at North & Navy in their private dining room. Since we were a group of 16, we had a set menu, but the staff kindly let us order from the regular menu as well. The private space was intimate and charming, which made it perfect for the occasion.

One small drawback was the seating — the table had a mix of comfortable leather chairs and less comfortable wooden ones. It would have been nice if everyone had equally comfortable seating.

Our server, Rasheen, was excellent — warm, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening.

The food was enjoyable, though the portions were on the smaller side. That said, we still left satisfied. The drinks leaned a bit strong, but they were flavorful and well-crafted.

Overall, it was a lovely spot for a special celebration.

North &Navy has been on my “to try list” for a long time. Sadly, the wait was in vain. Our antipasti, Chichetti and our Primi, Ravioli Incompiuto were well presented and creative, however flavour and temperature were lacking. We had two Main dishes. The Halibut & Peperonata was over cooked ( fish was chewy ) , over seasoned and had an abundance of oil on the plate. The Tournedos Rossini was a confusing flavour and texture. combination. Temperature barely warm . Overall, an ok taste.
Whey Panacotta dessert, another confusing texture and flavour just not good. Thankfully we were offered a replacement ( tiramisu) which was marginally better.
In our selected menu items, the Italian influence was not obvious.
Cocktails, service and wine won our stars. Very happy on that front .
Sadly we will not return.

Best appetizer even had! Cocktail is very good! We tried 4 different type of them. We tried 3 types of main courses since we don’t want to miss anything! Surely will come back on our next trip!

Out of the park from beginning to end. Stefan was awesome and made sure everything was explained and great suggestions. The food was superb. Every bite was fantastic. We ate family style, which I encourage so you can try more dishes. Hats off to the owners, chef and all the staff.

I would give this 3.5 stars. The restaurant is super cute, our server was fun and lively, but the food fell flat a lot of the time. Portions felt extra small, and the empty tortellini was crazy. Still good, but wouldn’t return.

5/5. Must try if you enjoy seafood and savoury spicy dishes. Very fairly priced for food and portion sizes. Loved everything I tried, especially the beef anticuchos. Seating was comfy and servers were kind and attentive. Lovely date spot.

Winner, winner amazing Peruvian dinner! Literally every single dish was spectacular.

We started with the ceviche that was both perfectly acidic and just plain perfect, as well as being a decent size.

One of us had the salmon with gnocchi and I'm not usually a huge fan of gnocchi even as an Italian but the pesto was so good and the pillows were exactly the right texture,and somehow didn't create that overly full feeling. The beef appetizer was abundant and again, so tasty, as were the corn fritters with a blend of some rhubarb sauce on top, once again surprising me because I actually fully dislike rhubarb.

The short rib was everything you would expect with fall off the bone meat and there is definitely magic added to the mashed potatoes because I'm normally iffy on those and I loved them.

Finally, the tres leches was the star of the show and even though we all thought we would take just one bite, the whole cake was devoured.

One of us is hesitant to try new food and is a meat and potatoes woman and she's now a total Peruvian food convert now, taking the leftovers home for lunch tomorrow.

The only pitfall which has nothing to do with them is how hard parking is but honestly, I will go back and just deal. It's worth it!

We came during winterlicious. Overall, food was okay. I’m not sure if it was because of winterlicious or not and but my shrimp appetizer (shrimp al ajillo?) was so insanely salty I had to send it back, which I truly avoid doing unless I feel like I can’t stomach it. The steak came out cold but what this place did introduce me to was yuca fries. Soooo good, I love the texture.

The strawberry lemonade was borderline bland like drinking a regular cold black tea. The desserts were good but nothing to write home about.

I would come back to try their food again as I would like to think I may have just come on an off day. The service was great.

Delicious food, great service and a cute space with a great vibe. I went for dinner and had an amazing experience. We shared the fritters, brussel sprouts, and pan seared salmon and everything was amazing. The cocktails were fun too. I would absolutely go back.

Celebrated a birthday at Nuna’s with the summerlicious menu and cocktails, and had an amazing time - highly recommend!!

The cocktails, passion fruit pisco sour and spicy margaritas, were recommended by our server and she was spot on — perfect balance of sour, and very spicy. The shrimp starter was a generous portion, really appreciated the bread to dip in and clean out the sauce. The mains were equally generous—shrimp / red bell pepper risotto and lomo saltado—both could have benefitted from a tiny bit of added acidity (personal preference) but the food was hot, very good, and truly worth the price imo. Both chose the tres leches dessert which was also plentiful and tasty.. loved the meringue and hint of cinnamon, perfect end to our night here 😊

Let's cut to the chase - the food here was amazing. Even the simplest thing, like the bread sticks, were delicious and something different.

We got the Paccheri Al Ragu Napoletano and Dentice, Vongole Pisseli for dinner and both meals were awesome. But what really blew our minds away was the dessert.
The Ricordo Delizioso was great - perfect amount of sweetness, the lemon mousse was perfectly tart with a hint of mint and the sponge cake complimented everything greatly.
We also got the Baba-Misu which took my breath away completely. The rum cake soaked with freshly brewed espresso was both soft and chewy, but with a little crunch coming from the cocoa crumble and the crust itself. The tiramisu cream with a slightly sour chantilly cream accommodated the slight bitterness from the espresso-rum cake to make this thing unbelievably tasty.

I will definitely be revisiting this place and recommending it to all my friends and acquaintances who like Italian food.

The staff was also very friendly, warm and accommodating. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Came here for Valentine's Day, fixed price menu of five courses. Excellent service, food came out on time and waiters checked on us frequently. Five courses was maybe too much for one person and I look forward to coming back for a la carte menu. Ambiance: Nice for intimate quiet dinner. Comfortable seating.
Food: Not strong flavors compared to other Italian food I've had. But liked the variety of dishes.

A cozy quiet restaurant located in Eglington that suits a casual date or a dinner with friends. The place is not big, it fits a few tables but more than enough to enjoy a pleasant meal.

The menu doesn’t offer a large variety of options, but gives you enough idea to know how this restaurant looks like. The ingredients are fresh and the plates are cooked at the moment, which is always what makes the difference from other restaurants.

I tried the Pepe pizza to start, and the doygh was greatly achieved and tasted very good. It wasn’t oily but juicy at the same time. I missed a pinch of salt but overall I enjoyed it.

I continued with the Paccheri al Ragu, a typical italian dish where you can tell if the chef applies some love on the plate. In this case, the recipe tasted good, but it wasn’t extraordinary. Same happened with the risotto, the recipe was correct and all ingredients were mixed into a single plate. However, something was missing on those two plates.

Ribeye was also on the table and it was actually very tasty and savory. Accompanied with some truffle slices, pesto sauce and a side of potatoes made the whole plate an excellent combination for the taste buds. The Ragu with mashed potato, however, was dry and lacked of flavor. Same thing that happened with the pasta.

As a dessert, I had to try E la Pizza Margherita! A funny presentation where they serve it in a pizza box simulating one slice of pizza. This a very risky dessert, because it is not for everybody. It is not a full sweet dessert, it is salty with tomato. But I have to admit I enjoyed it. The more you tried it, the better it tasted. Congratulations on this approach.

Tu summarize, it is a good restaurant to come and enjoy a casual Italian meal if you don’t come with high expectations. The prices here are average, and nothing is extremely expensive.
