Such an incredible experience. Will definitely return. The atmosphere is so pristine and classy. Great for a date night or dinner with friends. Our server Steve was absolutely wonderful. So attentive and made great suggestions. He was such a delight. The food is out of this world. You have to order the calamari. It’s a must. The steak was cooked perfectly and with love. Actually every dish we had just blew us away.

An outstanding Summerlicious dining experience for our family!! Our server, Sabrina, was exceptionally friendly and made us feel genuinely welcomed and special. I had specific dietary requests for each course, and to my delight, all three dishes were not only accommodated flawlessly but also exceeded expectations; they tasted just like something lovingly prepared at home. Huge compliments to the chef. The rest of the staff were also attentive and highly professional, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with great food and warm service.

I came during Summerlicious. I liked the appetizer and the dessert. The mains were just okay. Chicken was a bit dry. Service was pretty good. I wasn’t a fan of how close the tables were set next to each other, I could hear the next tables conversations and overall it was pretty loud inside the restaurant.

It's a new spot across the street from Roy Thompson Hall (which replaced a previous restaurant at the same location) and close to the Mirvish theaters.
Elegant design. Great service. Nice, non-intrusive music plays on the background.
We combined the 3-course “Summerlicios” (a summer restaurant festival in Toronto) with the 5-course “Tasting menu”.

You get a couple of complimentary slices of focaccia bread with olive oil.

Truffled Beef Carpaccio
The portion is pretty small (probably due to the pre-fix menu, although some other places often serve standard-sized dishes even with prix fixe)That said, the flavors of capers, pickled veggies, and parmesan make such a wonderful ornament for beef carpaccio. It was lovely.

Ahi Tuna Tartare
Good pairing of raw tuna and avocado. There is a nice – and too often exploited, - texture contrast between thin crispy sweet potato chip and soft tuna-avocado mix. It was good, but not impressive.

Italian Burrata
When you mix all the ingredients – tomato, peach, salsa verde, almonds, and burrata, - you get a good combination of crispy, fresh, and creamy textures, but the flavor lacked any distinction: it was neither salty, sour, sweet, nor bitter. Just unmemorable.

Grilled Calamari with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis
I don't have any particular complaints (though my wife found calamari a bit over-grilled), but I wasn't excited by the dish. It was good, but boring, with emphasis on salty notes from caper berries.

Tomato Madeira Braised Beef Cheek
The braised beef cheek was tender, but I wasn't able to detect any Madeira flavor.
The asparagus was overcooked and bitter. Roasted polenta was a good pair for the beef cheek, but I expected much more and left disappointed.

Grilled Branzino
Arguably the worst branzino we ate in the past couple of year - bitter from grill with equally unpleasant over-grilled asparagus. Although, I admit the fish wasn’t overcooked or too dry.

Pistachio Tiramisu
It was not the worst Tiramisu I had, but definitely not the best. Still, the crushed pistachios as well as pistachio-infused mascarpone made the desert above average.

Strawberry Panna Cotta
Not bad, but nothing special.

Conclusion: aside from the good service, our most prevailing feeling during the dinner was gastronomic boredom and sense of failed expectations.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Had a wonderful experience at Blu Ristorante! The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed with great vibes throughout with their new King street location. The pizza options were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I also got to try some of their new dessert items, their new pistachio tiramisu was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Highly recommend for a night out with great food, ambiance and live music!

Positively surprised by the quality of the food. The custom pizza was really nice and properly loaded with all ingredients. The pasta was amazing as well as the garlic toast. Really enjoyed the chap who served us. Gave some very good vibes. Whenever we're back in the area. Definitely returning here.

If you're looking for some amazing pasta, this is your place. The pastor was fresh and perfectly cooked and the sauces were perfect. Everything was piping hot.

We ordered delivery from Bona Roma tonight for the first time. It was delicious! From amazing service when we placed the order over the phone, to them going out of their way to deliver to our address, as well as the overall piping hot temperature when it arrived, to the incredible taste of the meals (three lasagna and a small pepperoni pizza) I cannot say enough good things. We will certainly order from them again. Happy to support a local business with great people, great prices, and great food! Thank you.

This place is a great find and it is amazing ! I believe it is a family ran business which makes it so special and the food is definitely 10 out of 10. The service is great and friendly! Couldn’t ask for a better date night place for me and my wife. We will definitely be coming back on the regular. Can’t wait to try some of the other items on the menu. The atmosphere is so welcoming and enjoyable! You definitely gotta eat here!

Bona Roma is a great little spot, tried the calzone and it was delicious! Perfectly baked, generous filling, and packed with flavor. Cozy, no-frills eatery with solid Italian comfort food.

The raw salmon and scallops served with watercress and olive oil, and the lamb neck pie with fennel root, both were so good that I thought they couldn't get any better. But the tiramisu at the end was truly classic. I've never had such a particularly smooth and dense one. The meringue paired with coffee and the cake base were perfect. For me, there's no second best. Big thumbs up to the chef!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Calgary. The food never disappoints and the staff are incredible! It's also the perfect place to eat if you're attending an event at the Dome or BMO Centre. Always get the tiramisu, I've spent weeks in Italy and it still rivals most I've had there.

Not an authentic Italian unfortunately. Carpaccio was overloaded with sauce (american style), Pasta’s tomato sauce was off - too sour and not enough tomato flavor. The tiramisu was ok - although also here, not enough coffee/cacao flavor

Service took a bit too long too. Price was too high for what you get

Our first visit and a great experience! Tyler was our server and recommended a great bottle of wine(pictured) to accompany the variety of dishes we selected. The rigatoni and squid ink pastas were our fav. Also, don't sleep on the burrata. We ordered the focaccia bread and the gnocci as well and really enjoyed it all. Their patio wasn't opened yet, but I'd love to go back for that.
We went before a concert and joked about how we could have paid our bill and called it a night, completely forgetting we actually had another event to go to. It was that enjoyable and memorable!! 😆 Highly recommend!

Food and service is lovely! The burger was so good. Fries are perfect. The steak was so tasty. Calamari amazing

Service was great. The tacos were expensive but tasted good and were more filling than I had thought. Atmosphere is very nice.

The food here is pretty good, the vibes were chill and servers were nice. The place is a but dark and kinda small with not much seating.

We got the fish and chips, oxtail risotto and burrata. Everything was super delicious, fish and chips were light crispy not soggy at all, risotto was super creamy and flavourful with the oxtail, burrata was also very tasty.

Will definitely come here again to check out their other items on the menu.

Great restaurant. The food is amazing and beautifully presented. Really enjoyed the sea bass ceviche, the broccoli and the calamari! Lovely covered and heated back patio. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, they treat you like family as soon as you walk on the door. A leslieville institution!

Visiting from Winnipeg and decided to check this place out, such a cute little place and close to our air bnb. Waitress Carrie was very friendly and gave great suggestions. Ordered the Steak Frites, linguini and fish and chips... Unreal quality of food, compliments to the chef, every bite was amazing! Cocktails were also awesome. Will definetly be back again :) thank you

It was nothing short of a perfect day! The venue, food, decor and service was top notch. So grateful for all the memories created that day, that we will cherish for a lifetime

I had very high hopes for this venue!!

I received a prompt responses to my initial inquiry and subsequent emails requesting information and confirmation of date availability for planning a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for our parents. Everything was great through to visiting the venue and meeting with Paula and her team. When I was leaving I asked the next steps to pay the deposit and secure the date. I was told to email once I confirmed with my family that we were good to go. I emailed confirmation later that evening (June 8).

It's now July 2, and after multiple emails and phone messages, I have not heard a word back from Paula. Nothing.

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement as everything about Four Sisters Farm checked all our boxes for what we were wanting for this special day.

Is it a beautiful space, yes!
Is it reasonably priced compared to other similar venues, yes!
Is the communication from the venue owner good, absolutely not!!! When planning any event no matter the size, good communication with potential and paying customers is KEY!!!

Love eating here. We did a combo birthday and they were really accommodating. Food was delicious. They even put up woth my uncle 🤪 They were out of several wines but made substitutions that worked out great. Recommend.

Great food, view, and service! Highly recommend asking for their "Daily Doubles Menu" if you're going with a friend/date and want to try the same thing (do wish they had a vegetarian option though for this menu). My partner and I tried their smoked bourbon BBQ ribs and Wednesday wings special, and it was super yummy! Also loved the Crafty Elk mango-honey vodka drink.

We love the place, except the sign, about Trudeau😉. The waitress was friendly, the food is good, a bit pricey, I did not enjoy the food I had, but I did enjoy the food that my friends had. Overall, it's a good place to dine in.

We had been before. We decided to go there to celebrate, I was looking forward to a good steak. I order the steak rare, 35 minutes later and nothing left to drink, our food arrived. I cut into my steak and it was medium, there was no red in the meat it was pink (no not even dark pink), I let the waitress know, and at first she looked at me like deer in the headlight look. She brought it back and proceeded to tell me that the “chef” said it was rare, he had put it in the oven for the right amount of time??? I told her, that was not rare, and she asked me what I would like to do. I order another rare steak, and she came back and informed me the chef said it was rare, I told her I could discuss this with the chef. They bring out my steak and the “manager” tells me the chef says this is very rare…. Sigh. The shrimp they serve with it, was now dry and unappealing, the vegetables were greasy, and the “baked “ potatoe had a piece of butter slapped in the middle of it.
We will not be going back.

This was a good dining experience, we were a fairly large group and service was very good. Good menu variety and fairly priced. I little warm in the restaurant but still bearable.

Absolutely the Best!!! We have been coming here for years and we are never disappointed. We always get the same server (by design?) and Kimberley is always a delight, the consummate professional level of friendliness and attentiveness without being intrusive. She remembers us and we always feel special.

The food is always spectacular. The first time we came we had the 7 course tasting menu and it was too much for us. We are light eaters. We are always very satisfied with the 5 course tasting menu.

We have eaten at many places of similar caliber and (sometimes higher) price point and George is consistently the best experience. The courses are always so well planned and executed that every bite is pleasure.

Our most recent visit we got to sit at the chef's table. The kitchen is fairly open anyway but this table looks right in and we enjoyed watching the bustle and hard work that goes into everything. The patio on the back is gorgeous!

The biggest tasting menu we’ve ever had. We went for the biggest for my birthday and the wine served was lovely too. Restaurant was nice, an eclectic design with fine dining. Timing of the dishes was perfect. Dishes were all unique. Would definitely recommend

A Michelin star worthy meal at a non-star establishment!

Within a span of less than a month, I have had the opportunity to savour two wonderful and noteworthy meals that were beyond my expectation. The first was at ‘Bouillon Bilk’, Montreal. It was then followed shortly by another splendid one at ‘George’, Toronto! Although both of these establishments are non-Michelin star rated. However, based on the execution, quality and taste of the food, plus the total dining package experience that goes along with it. IMHO, these under-rated standouts both deserve the award of a culinary macaroon!

For the past two and a half decades, due to the close proximity of our birthdays, my brother-in-law and I had been having habitual annual ‘Boys-only’ birthday bashes at destinations in and outside of the province. Our primary selection criteria was to seek out venues that offer delectable tasting menus, preferably with wine pairing!

This year, we decided to brave the notorious 404/Don Valley rush-hour traffic and pay award winning chef Lorenzo Loseto of George ( 2013 Canada Culinary Championship - Gold medal Plate winner ) a long overdue revisit. A fellow ex-chowhounder and long time foodie acquaintance of ours, we beseech Chef Loseto to specially curate and craft a multi-course blind-tasting menu for us, hopefully with the inclusion of a Venison main course!

To say that our inspirational and outstanding ‘Omakase‘ dinner was just another pretty and delicious meal would be an understatement. Though the attractive plating and the captivating composition of the dishes were typical ‘ Loseto signature trademark - Busy, Florid and Ornate ‘. In some way, all the multiple-ingredients and components used in the creation, managed to work harmoniously well together and in near perfect unison, be it from the taste or textural perspective. During this process, a number of mouth watering delights and scrumptious taste bombs were forged!!

Enticed by the creativity and deliciousness of our initial few courses, the splendid gastronomic progression prompted us to make an impromptu decision of morphing our originally planned 7 course dinner to an expanded, whopping 10 course affair!

The following are the parades of wondrous dishes that emanated from the open kitchen just a few steps from our table. Delivered to us by a small team of super friendly, professional and attentive servers, Chef Loseto also made a few cameo appearances to check on us……. and Yes!! One of the main dishes was indeed a gorgeous Venison dish!! Thank you Chef!!

Seldom does one find a meal with ALL its hot dishes turned out to be standouts!! ….top of the list were the Roasted Turbot in Lobster Reduction, the Foie Gras and Roasted Squab and of course the amazing well seasoned and tender grilled Venison loin…..etc!

The selection of desserts were all outstanding and not overly sweet!!

All in all a delightful, balanced and memorable meal!......We shall return!!

Three of us went for dinner: one had a vegetarian tasting menu, the second a pescatarian tasting menu, and the third the normal meat based tasting menu. What a great flexible offering. The food was varied and delicious, the wine pairings were generous, the service friendly and attentive. The dining room is large so our table was not cramped. We had a view of the very busy open kitchen and could admire the teamwork. Highly recommended but a bit pricey

I went for winterlicious and got the menu with wine pairing. The starter and main were really good but dessert was kind of disgusting which was a shame to end the meal off that way. It was so basic and too sweet, not balanced at all. They phoned in for dessert wine pairing with a moscato which was way too sweet with the dessert and unlike other courses was the same across desserts. The plates were beautiful but dessert was such a let down. For the price of 200+ per person I expected more.

Wow, what a phenomenal meal! 10/10 food, 10/10 service and great atmosphere. This is a fancier restaurant that accommodates everyone (even if you’re just wearing a t-shirt and jeans). Best authentic home made Italian food 🙌🏽 I had the lasagna and my partner had the carbonera - portions were huge!

Giovanni’s was a go too for my husband and I. So we brought our son and his girlfriend there for her birthday.
We ordered drinks and then a bottle of wine.
We then wanted to order appetizers and were told we had to order our meals at the same time as they had a big group.
We waited about 40 minutes and finally are appetizers came.
Then waited another hour for our food and by this time the wine we ordered was gone as the server was very good at refilling our glasses.
When we complained about the long wait they gave us another bottle on the house.
Then are meals came.
My dish was very salty and after waiting so long I wasn’t hungry so I took it home.
Everyone else loved their meal and because we waited so long we needed to leave.
We were surprised that my son’s girlfriend didn’t get a desert as we have seen many times a desert with a candle for a birthday.
I was also not impressed with the woman waitress who was serving the table beside us and was pretty friendly to my husband to a point that she dropped a fork behind his back and my husband literally had to take his hand to grab it as it was lodged between the seat and his back…???
When we complained about not getting our meals they said they had a big group and they apologized.
We booked 2 weeks ago and we are also paying customers and should be treated with the same service .

Gitane was a fantastic experience! The food was perfectly executed and absolutely delicious, even with a small and simple menu. The service was warm, friendly, and fun, which made the night even better. Big shout out to the team!

This small open-concept restaurant has a clean and welcoming vibe without feeling crowded. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was consistently good, and the steak frites were the standout—tender, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned with crispy fries on the side. Definitely worth coming back for another meal.

Upscale French restaurant on Elgin Street in downtown Ottawa. We were a party of 4 on a Friday night. Restaurant was fully booked, but it did not feel like it since there was plenty of space between the tables. Our table was by the windows under a beautiful skylight. Our server was Jessica, who was a professional with support from others on the team. Never did we have to ask for our water to be refilled, napkins folded when we left our seat. Table cleaned between courses. Exceptional service. The food was delicious. See photos. The best was actually the dessert the sundae ... made with a very interesting ingredient. Go try for yourself.

Excellent food and service. Our waiter was very knowledge about the menu, and very proud of every dish. He took great care of us. The vibes are beautiful and intimate. I am pregnant and really appreciate seeing an alcohol free cocktail list. The faux negroni was excellent. We ordered the crab spaghetti, beef tartare, Gitanes burger and duck and everything was delicious. Thanks so much Gitanes, we will be back !

I recently had the pleasure of dining solo at Gitanes in Ottawa, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a long time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, where the service was warm, attentive, and never overbearing—exactly what you want when dining alone.

Let’s talk about the food. I ordered the burger, and I don’t say this lightly: it immediately shot to the top of my list. Perfectly cooked, richly layered, and incredibly satisfying—it’s the kind of burger you find yourself thinking about days later. I also had the crab claws served with butter and cocktail sauce—simple, fresh, and executed beautifully.

To round things out, I enjoyed a thoughtful progression of drinks: a well-poured bourbon, a sharp and balanced Paper Plane, a lovely glass of Bordeaux, and a smooth digestive to finish. Each was well chosen and well made, complementing the meal without ever overshadowing it.

Gitanes delivers the kind of experience you hope for in a modern French bistro—refined without being stuffy, intimate without being quiet, and consistently elevated without trying too hard. I’ll absolutely be back.

We were fortunate to get an outdoor table without a reservation on a Sunday evening. Greeted with warm, welcoming smiles and seated right away under heat lamps that were perfect for the sunny but chilly evening. Not all restaurants in the area have heaters, and some had them but didn't turn them on. It was very nice to dine outdoors comfortably while enjoying the beautiful environment of Place Jacques Cartier which is so full of vibrant colors.

Maeva was the perfect server. Friendly and courteous, attentive and quite charming, she only enhanced our dining experience. The food was delicious. We had the calamari, focaccia bread, and burrata e prosciutto, all of which were very good. Then we had the spaghetti amatriciana and linguine pescatore, both of which were delicious and satisfying. The passion fruit mojito was good as well.

Overall, between the comfortable atmosphere, the wonderful service, and delicious food, you cannot go wrong dining here. We look forward to dining here again on our next visit to beautiful Montreal! Bon appetit!

We visited Jacopo to celebrate my sister's birthday. There were four of us. The atmosphere was super bohemian and elegant, perfect for a special occasion. The staff suggested a delicious red wine as a starter, followed by spectacular pasta, and not to mention the spectacular serving of the signature dish! Wow, I would go back a thousand times! I would love to!🥳🤩🤩🤩

This was our first visit to Jacopo and we absolutely loved it. Our server Aurelia was amazing: friendly, informative, and patient (we couldn’t decide on drinks to start off and Aurelia helped us with her recommendations). And the food was amazing!! Will absolutely come back next time we are in Montreal!!

We were a group of three on a Friday evening. Service was warm but efficient. My daughter had the watermelon mocktail which she enjoyed. We had the Caesar salad, focaccia, and burrata and prosciutto plate to start. All were very good. The foccacia was soft and crispy on the outside. For dinner we enjoyed the spaghetti, lamb ragu and orecchiette. Our favorite was the lamb ragu. The lamb was so tender. The other two pasta dishes were also delicious, but on the spicy side. We were too full to try the cannolis, but we will next time!

Great food, great service, pricing was not.

We had a gathering here for a birthday in July 2025. We ordered a lot of different appetizers and main dishes, and everybody tried a little bit of everything. The calamari was probably some of the best we've ever had. The tartar was tasty, the lamb pasta was good, the ravioli was delicious as was the risotto and more. Honestly, could not have been happier with the food or the service.

We brought a cake for the celebration and when our bill came, there was a $4 per slice for cutting the cake WE brought. $4 for cutting a cake... PER SLICE.

They charged us for the bread at our table and the sangria was $70!!! The sangria wasn't on the menu so we didn't see the price ahead of time because we wouldn't have ordered it. This left a very sour taste in our mouths as this pricing we find to be ridiculous.

Locals to Montreal and we will not eat here again because of these additions and price insanity.

This Italian steakhouse restaurant is wonderful and cozy. The service is good 👍 and friendly. And the food is exceptional. Especially the steaks 🥩. I had the 160z Kansas bone in strip and it was simply delicious 😋. It was expertly aged, seasoned and cooked perfectly. It melts in your mouth.
The grilled octopus was nice too.
A++ experience here.

Excellent food. A hidden gem
In lasalle. Off-the-beaten path of great Italian food. The chefs are wonderful. Wait staff smile at ya!

The restaurant is cozy and has a great ambiance. The service was excellent, the servers were very kind & friendly and our food was served in timely manner. Speaking of the food, we had the 16oz Kansas steak and Aglio e olio pasta, it was fantastic! The meat was juicy and flavourful and the pasta was great, the portions were generous and their homemade bread to go with it was fresh and soft. I will definitely be coming again!

Great steaks and lamp chops may be the best in town. The menu is not big, but the items are very fresh and tasty. The grilled octopus is a must-try. The service is good and the atmosphere is good and could a private room for events.

Incredible service, but the Menu offerings fell short.

Per a colleagues recommendatiom, I accompanied some friends to celebrate a birthday at La Campagnola. Upon entry, I loved the atmosphere created by the mini-secluded dining areas which made the night feel more intimate and memorable. The food however, fell short of my expectations, I enjoyed the bread and butter offered as an appetizer, it was fresh and the in-house butter they had was an interesting deviation from the norm. I ordered the parmesan fries as a starter and they lacked a feeling of freshness/crispyness to them. I chose the Pepperoni Pizza as a main and it was above average but didnt really impress me much, it tasted close to what I have had at fast food restaurants, so I was a little dissapointed by this. Despite my gastronomic experience, the service provided by the staff was incredible; they were polite, patient and they made the night an enjoyable experience. I'm not sure if I would go there again, but if I did, it would be for the intimate dining experience(perfect for date nights) and to try a different menu item!

A few things to know if you're hosting an event here:
The venue is run by the city and they have agreements in place with a rowing club to use the facilities. You will have people in and out using the bathrooms as if they are open to public despite your having paid for the space. You can call the city office to dispute this but you will have to fight for exclusive use of the space.

There is a lot of junk hanging around the downstairs rooms. Chalkboards, drum sets, broken chairs. It will not be moved.

After 11pm, a security guard is stationed inside the venue. This is disconcerting because guests automatically assume that there is an issue. However, it is nice to have someone watching the door and you do not have to wait for someone to arrive when you're ready to leave.

If you are rentjing for more than a few hours, you will have to call the city each time you want to arrive or depart the venue. They do not give you a key. You can only access as of 9h00 - basically the same hours as Maison du Brasserie museum.

The fridge is residential not commercial. Same for the stove. You will have to turn on the bar fridges upstairs when you arrive so that they chill before your event, otherwise prepare for warm drinks.

The views and access to the canal boardwalk are amazing. The stone walls make for beautiful photo backdrops and the 2nd floor terrace is a great feature.

Lovely lake shore view. Clean, airy and has a nice secure balcony. Great venue for medium or small conferences

Went to a wedding here in September and the place was spectacular. The old vintage look the building has updated by modern decor inside made the place very cozy and enjoyable . Not sure if the staff is always the same however if so they were on point and very welcoming . I would highly recommend this place for someone looking for a wedding or just to rent out for corporate occasions etc .

Historic building by the water. Great for intimate wedding/gatherings. Small kitchen for caterers. The parking lot is public and can not be reserved for private functions.

We recently had a wedding at Lago and it was everything we wanted and more!

From the very beginning Gyneya and her staff were amazing. They are very detail oriented and do everything in their power to take all the stress off of you and onto them. Your wedding is their priority and they want your vision to come to life. Their pricing is very fair and transparent.

We were in the Vista room (upstairs) with around 80 guests and it was the perfect size. The dance floor was able to be open all night and no tables needed to be moved after dinner.

The food is phenomenal! Many of our guests made specific points to us on how great the food was. And as a bonus the portion sizes are large too!

I used to work for a catering company as a server for weddings and have been to many venues. I can say this is the best venue I've ever been to and cannot recommend it enough!

The cheesecake is also out of this world!! We had a handful of guests make the point to let us know it was the best cheesecake they ever had.

If you're still reading this, stop! And book your date already before it's booked up.

We held our wedding reception at Lago this past spring, and it was exactly what we had prayed for. The space was inviting and well-organized, with a sensible layout that worked well for our guests. We especially appreciated its interior industrial design and beautiful views of Dow’s Lake.

Planning with Gyneya and her team — including Kayly, Kim, and others — made all the difference. They were welcoming, efficient, and generous. Even during our reception, Lago’s staff members were incredibly kind, considerate, and accommodating, all of which contributed to a smooth and enjoyable evening.

The food was excellent — fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated. Our guests' favorite dishes included the fried halloumi cheese skewer hors d'oeuvres, the heirloom tomato salad appetizer, and the braised beef short rib entrée. Gyneya and her team were very flexible with our dietary requests. Service throughout the night was attentive and well-paced.

We're so pleased to have chosen Lago for our wedding reception and would confidently recommend it to any engaged couple looking for a great planning experience and a memorable wedding celebration!

My Daughter got married there last night and it was perfect. The venue was just the right size for the event, we had the service first and while the family left for pictures, the staff set up for appetizers and dinner. Appetizers were a selection of deep fried cheese sticks and spring rolls etc. they were all done perfectly and sauces were delicious. Dinner did not disappoint either, there was a choice of salmon, strip loin steak or risotto. They again were perfect. Crème Brûlée was the finishing touch and was spot on. The staff and the facility was so polite and polished I couldn’t say enough about them. Gyneya coordinated a fabulous evening. As for the room itself, the lighting was beautiful and a perfect backdrop was a warm evening on Dow’s lake. I hope this doesn’t come across as AI because it was real and for our Daughter and Son-in-Law it was perfect. Thank you.

Amazing wedding venue! Staff were amazing all night :) Food was delicious. It’s nice that it’s on the water so you can hangout outside if you want as well.

My husband and I got married here last month. This place is a hidden gem in my opinion. You get a whole wedding package, amazing food choices, and the staff goes through the whole planning process and schedule with you. You bring your own decorations but they set everything up for you. It’s also so affordable compared to other venues. They made the whole experience easy.

This was a very nice museum, but definitely overshadowed by Heritage Park.
The staff were very friendly, and the house itself was well cared for.
There was a great number of historic artifacts in the museum, and the front terraced lawn is very beautiful.

We liked this place, especially interiors, which is so beautiful with antique furniture telling the stories of how people were living back then there is also a history of the Logheed family. I was really inspired by her wife personality. Great venue for small event or date night.

I love this museum. I really have a good time knowing about the history of Alberta. I went there during Christmas, however the staff said depending of the season they change the decoration. The museum has a small vintage shop where you can get some sourvenirs

Constructed in 1891, this grand sandstone mansion was originally the residence of Senator James Alexander Lougheed and his wife, Isabella Clarke Hardisty Lougheed. The house stands as a testament to Calgary's rich history and architectural heritage.

Stopped for lunch at this lovely restaurant. We were greeted by the manager/owner. Lovely man and a great sense of humor.

Got sat by the window and the decor was fabulous.

The waiter was lovely and gave us excellent recommendations. We got the escargout, salad, salmon, and Mac and cheese. Absolutely phenomenal.

Our experience at Modavie Bistro in Montreal was absolutely perfect! The lamb chops are a must-try — cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. For our appetizer, we had the scallops, and they were fantastic as well.

The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better — warm, inviting, and lively. Everything came together for a truly memorable evening.

Highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Montreal!

WOW. this place is amazing! From out of town and was suggested to try this restaurant with live music. We walked in on a weekday evening and was greeted by a friendly host. The restaurant was packed but luckily we got a table on the bar side of the restaurant, where you could still hear the live music from the other side. Our server Buddy was amazing! And the food was delicious! We started the foie gras, garlic snails, and bone marrow. All of them was done to perfection! Our meals we tried rack of lamb and the catch of the day which was the Rainbow Trout. Both was so delicious though we both prefer the rack of lamb. It was definitely an enjoyable experience!! 5* all the way!! Must try!

Our first meal in Montreal, conveniently located right next to our hotel in the heart of downtown on a lively street. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated quickly with a two-hour time limit, likely because it gets busier later with live music. The service and food were both excellent. I didn’t love the lamb rack, even though the waiter recommended it—it just wasn’t my thing. But the steak was fantastic and the portion was generous. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Walked in with no reservation and was immediately sat! The restaurant itself beautiful, very cozy and it was the perfect place to people watch. My drink was delicious, as were the scallops and filet mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection. My waiter was also extremely attentive, he provided the BEST service. I will definitely be returning my next visit to this gorgeous city!

My dinner experience at Mr. B's Osteria, situated at 2446 Bank Street, was truly delightful. We began with a serving of fried zucchini, after which I savored the fettuccine with salmon, accompanied by a dill cream sauce, and appreciated the freshness of the pasta. FMu husband choice was the chicken Marsala, and we concluded with Tiramisu. The service provided by our server, Adrianna, was outstanding, and I strongly recommend Mr. B's Osteria.

Our family came and had a lovely birthday dinner. It was a great experience! If you are thinking about getting the zucchini sticks, my advice, do it. You will not regret it! It is a large open dinning space. Personally, our family thinks the restaurant could benefit from some decor and perhaps some separation (setting up walls or booths or something).

Mr. B’s has been a longtime favorite for me and my friends, even back when it was at the old location. The food is consistently amazing, with a great variety to choose from. We’ve tried the fish, steak, lobster, pastas, soups, and salads—and everything has been delicious. The bread alone is worth coming for!

The pasta dishes are priced similarly to East Side Mario’s, but the quality and flavor are on a completely different level—much higher and more refined. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a nice vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

The service is always great, and it’s a nice touch that the owner is often there personally to greet you with a smile. Highly recommend!

Our regular Friday afternoon get-away. Absolutely delicious and top quality choices. My favourite dish is the Fettuccine Fruitti Di Mari. Pasta is made inhouse. A fantastic seafood medley in a delicious rose sauce. Go in hungry and come out very happy and satisfied.

Lovely vibe and food was decent size for the price. Zucchini app was delicious! Service was ok.

Second time visiting and I already know there will be a third, a fourth, and countless more. Every dish was a work of art—creative, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. My favorite was the pad see ew, and I was so caught up enjoying it that I completely forgot to take a picture. The atmosphere is pure elegance, from the romantic lighting to the plush, comfortable chairs. Our waitress, Barbara, was warm, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure. I’m already counting down the days until I can come back for brunch.

This was our third visit and it is ALWAYS fabulous. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and food with flavour combinations that are pure delight. We liked every dish we tried - three different appetizers and three mains. The espresso martini was also a hit. Very lucky that Stittsville has a place of this calibre in our area.

Me and my husband decided to try our first ever tasting menu and they did not disappoint! Great serving size, and the server (maybe the owner) explained every dish and ingredient to us. He also confirmed nothing was overly spicy as I couldn't handle spice and was willing to change the later dishes to accommodate my palette.
Will have to come back to try other dishes and pairings!

I was clearing space on my phone by deleting photos when I realized I had never shared my experience at Next. I celebrated my birthday there two years ago, and the memory is so valuable that I feel it’s worth sharing—even after all this time. we went for their menu tasting. The place was beautiful and the food was delicious But the most remarkable part of Next is Michael, the chef and owner. He’s a genuinely great person who makes every guest’s experience truly special

Our 1st time eating here, Service goes beyond for you!! The meal, salmon was delicious found the sauce a little salty for my personal taste but my taste buds for the app, main and dessert wanted more. Didn't get to see the washrooms, really liked how pride was evident every where.

From the homemade focaccia to the freshly made pasta (we loved the ravioli!) to the delicious flourless chocolate torte and tiramisu and based on the overall experience- it was just as good as Varsho’s grand slam. 😉

Delicious fresh pasta and pizza at Nodo. The truffle gnocchi was so good, the duck pappardelle was perfectly cooked, and the pizza was delicious.

All dishes were generous portions. The outdoor patio is fantastic, with a great vibe. Our host, Sophie, was friendly and made our visit enjoyable. I recommend this place for family and friends’ gatherings.

We ordered spaghetti and anchovy pizza there. So disappointed with the food. The tomato sauce is fresh, however the meatball is not only small but not fresh, the pizza is burnt and too salty. I don't want to waste the food so I just eat them, but I will never ordered these dishes again for sure.
P.S: my boyfriend has a stomach ache after eating at this restaurant half an hour. 😔

I had an incredible experience here! This was my second time here, it was for my surprise birthday dinner and everyone had such a great experience. First, our server was incredible, very accommodating and she went out of her way to meet dietary needs of all the guests. Second, the food was exemplary! Genuinely 11/10 and the focaccia was the best I’ve ever had.

Isabel is amazing! She is part of the reason we went back to NODO again l. That initial experience she provided from our first visit last summer (2024) was great. She was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She recommended the duck ragu (not a big duck eater) but so glad we listened to her. We are always happy to have as our server. Thank you for providing a consistent experience!

We had our Valentine’s Day dinner here and everything was spectacular! The food was to die for - seriously we loved everything. The drinks were great too. What made it an extra special night is how above and beyond the staff went to make our night memorable. They customized everyone’s menus to include both people’s names so you can take it home as a souvenir, and they took a Polaroid picture of each couple for them to keep. Service was amazing too - everything came out fairly quickly and our waitress was so kind. The atmosphere and vibe was nothing like any other restaurant I’ve been too; it’s hard to describe, looking like you are almost in a house. It’s a huge space with only ~17 tables, making it feel very exclusive. It was my first time here and I would 100% recommend. Hope to visit again in the future!

We recently celebrated a birthday party at Parlor Restaurant, and it was a great experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was eclectic and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a special evening.

The food was absolutely outstanding. The Tuna Tataki was a standout—prepared beautifully with a delicate balance of flavors that melted in our mouths. The scallops were another highlight—perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious sauce that brought everything together beautifully.

Beyond the amazing food, the service truly elevated our experience. Our waiter, Aba, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make the night special.

We are looking forward to returning!

Rather ingenious higher end bistro that really leans into its eclectic aesthetic. Love the interior design and focus on unique dishes/drinks. We tried the tuna tataki which was fine then went with the hen and brisket. Both mains were well seasoned and sauced enjoyably. It's a fancy place and they take care of you well but do expect a finer dining price point.

Amazing staff, definitely delicious food. Lovely indeed.

We went to Parlour with a large group to celebrate a birthday and really had a memorable experience. Our server Allison went above and beyond! The food was delicious, with plenty of crowd pleasing dishes (gluten free options, lots of veg dishes. I loved the number of options they had for zero proof cocktails for those not drinking. The location is stunning!

I dropped in with my gf for some food and drink. We arrived a few minutes before the end of Happy Hour and we were lucky enough to get the best the menu has to offer at a 40% discount 🤯

We had some amazing drinks and three apps. The whole thing was under 3 digits!!! I am usually not very price sensitive but this was just so amazing! GREAT SERVICE AMD DELICIOUS FOOD!!

If you can stop in and take advantage of the happy hour menu, do it!!

We were 6 persons. We were welcomed at the first gate and the waiter was super nice and he was explaining the restaurant concept and the story behind the restaurant name. Then we had a waitress which was super rude and we were all surprised about her bahviour and she was treating us like we are not welcome at all. And honestly this is the first time that we are treated like this. Starting by the way she was talking to us, we felt we are in an old convent nans school. And when asking her about ingredients because the menu is being changed every 4months and ingredients we are not familiar with, she said we are not in macdonalds. Also I also asked her to get a glass of red wine with less sugar that they, she replied I don't know and I am not supposed to read the ingredients on all bottles. Plus, the food took too long to be served like 35 to 40min if not more. And when it comes to pay the bill, we split it into 3 and each couple was adding the tip which we weren't suppose to give her any penny, she smashed the bill paper and throw it on our table and she said no need to put anything. It was very awful experience. Her name is Rebecca.
And I didn’t mention that the food for all.of us was very salty which I am.pretty sure she added it to all our plates.

Me and my gf just visited this place last week. Very nice food and the ambiance takes it up to the next level. Plenty of space in the patio and the beer selection is wonderful. Abel is awesome and made the whole experience even better. We would definitely be back!!

The food was a bit better than average, the waitress was pleasant and the atmosphere was amazing. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 drinks, the total for the bill was around $105 before tip, which is about average for Centretown. I thought the interpretation of ceviche was interesting, but not for me. I prefer a more traditional approach. Although, the duck wings were quite good. I think that there’s definitely better options with better prices for a night out. However, I didn’t try any of the mains and I’ve heard the desserts here are quite good, even though they’re not made in house.

My partner and I came here and luckily caught the happy hour, which enabled us to try a few delicious appies and drinks for a very reasonable price! Our favourite was the mango and whipped cheese on sourdough- yummy! The service was also very great; we’ll definitely be coming back soon!
