When we started looking for a venue for our wedding, many other places we contacted gave us boilerplate service, some even forgetting about our scheduled meetings. This was not the case when it came to Entrepots Dominion. Alexandre runs the show and was friendly and collaborative from our first contact with him. We easily arranged a meeting to go over what l'Entrepot could offer. We were impressed with the candor and professionalism shown by Alex as he guided us through the process of putting together the wedding of our dreams. He remained realistic and focused on achieving our goals and was able to connect us to his trusted vendors. All of his recommendations, including rentals, catering & DJ service were able to provide a great wedding packages at very competitive prices. Whatever questions we had, Alex had an answer. I don't think we ever heard his voicemail message because he answered the phone every time we needed to contact him. Though you don't expressly need to take on Alex as your coordinator, the guy is an event planning machine and someone you'll want on your team when you're trying to make sure everything is exceptional for the big day. Our entire guestlist raved about the food, bartending, service, music and staff professionalism. We had a schedule down to 5 minute intervals and Alex kept us on pace the entire night so nothing we planned for was missed and everything flowed smoothly. It all came out exactly as we wanted and we have to credit Alexandre and Entrepot Dominion for helping us craft a day we'll never forget.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Entrepôt Dominion, and I can’t say enough good things about this venue! The space is stunning — a perfect mix of industrial charm and modern elegance. It’s spacious, beautifully maintained, and offers so much versatility for couples to bring their vision to life.

I worked alongside the incredibly talented wedding planner Nic Pendenza, and together with the couple, they created an atmosphere that felt both stylish and deeply personal. The natural light in the space was a dream to work with, and the air conditioning was a huge plus — especially on a hot summer day!

Everything was clean, organized, and clearly well cared for. It’s the kind of venue that not only looks amazing in photos, but also feels comfortable and effortless throughout the day.

Used Fork + Farm for a recent corporate Grand Opening and they are nothing short of amazing. I've used many caterers in Calgary....Jen actually took the time to meet with me first to view our massive spaces that were to be catered that evening, she understood the challenges and she was proactive in creating a plan.
She came up with a menu that everyone gave the most impressive feedback on, and helped me to plan our dealerships with food stations to keep people touring the spaces. Their charcuterie cart was a HUGE hit, the pizza forno was unbelievable, and their beef sliders and duck dumplings - mouth watering! She worked with my other vendors (beer trucks, wine providers, etc.) to execute the most seamless event for over 425 guests.
They even accommodated, fully ordered, and served a last minute switch out of hi-balls to canned cocktails, sourced locally, (which is important to our business).
Their service staff is unbeatable and go above and beyond. I will definitely use Fork + Farm again in the future and recommend them for any event. Jen will take the care to develop the best menu to impress your guests and her and her staff are unbeatable.

TL;DR - Ruined a wedding, Fork + Farm blamed the groom.

We hired Fork and Farm for a wedding last month, heard nothing but good things, guests were so excited for the food. We double and triple checked with the company making sure there was enough for 80 people, we did not have a budget, and we just gave them a credit card to bill.

Day of the wedding, all the food was still wrapped in plastic, and then everyone from fork and farm left, long before the reception started. That was interesting, but we thought nothing of it. As we unwrap everything and tables start lining up, we quickly realize there is not enough food for everyone. (Keep in mind, we only had 70 people at the wedding, we ordered for 80.)

We tried to call them. Multiple times, no answer, no help day of. So we had to order pizza for everyone. Some people had to leave early not getting ANY FOOD! If you're an immigrant, like my family is, that's a huge deal. Not good.

We called fork and farm multiple times, hearing different stories about how they mixed up the order, with 0 accountability, 0 remorse, and tons of throwing it back in our faces.

Here's what the groom had to say:

"There was no accountability from them. They claimed we had said early on that the order was for a lawn bowling event and a standing affair, which was never the case. From the start, I told the coordinator it was for our wedding reception, and she even congratulated us, so it was very clear. They also kept saying that because we didn’t have it in writing that it was a reception, there was no proof. The entire order was placed over the phone, and every time I spoke with her it was by phone. Before placing the order, I specifically asked if the amount would be enough for multiple rounds of food for 80–90 people. She reassured me that it would be. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and we ran out of food. In hindsight, it was my mistake to put full trust in her assurances without written confirmation, but I was relying on her professional guidance."

Disgusting behavior, yes I'm talking to you now Fork and Farm. You absolutely should be ashamed of yourselves. If you're reading this. Stay away!!!

Fork and Farm catered our wedding in Golden, BC and nothing could have been better. From the get go, the planning was fun, custom, and the communication was always quick and clear. Because our wedding venue didn't have an onsite kitchen, we needed a company with a mobile kitchen and we are so grateful we found F+F. The staff were kind, professional, and weeks later all of our guests are talking about how it was the best wedding food they have ever had! We did a plated dinner and were able to offer our guests three options that were all raved about. They also did 4 passed canapés during our cocktail hour and made sure that we had some packaged up for us during our photos so we didn't go hungry (so important on your wedding day)!! Thank you to Laura and team for everything, you made our day so special.

The food, service and presentation were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still raving about the food and even said it was the BEST food they've ever had at a wedding. Fork + Farm also made our wedding cake, and not only did it taste delicious, but it looked beautiful. The bartenders and catering staff were also so much fun and really added to the atmosphere.

What an amazing stay! From check-in to check-out, the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto was exceptional. Shortly after arrival, we were greeted by the Manager of concierge, she truly did make our stay one we will never forget. Thank you again, for making a birthday celebration so special.

Our recent stay at the Four Seasons Toronto was wonderful, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. The suite was incredibly spacious and designed with thoughtful touches that made our stay very comfortable, especially traveling with a baby. The two full bathrooms in the suite were particularly useful and a huge convenience.
The hotel's decor is beautiful, contributing to a truly luxurious atmosphere. Most of the service was excellent and met the high standards we've come to expect from the Four Seasons. We were checked in by a team member in training who was very kind, though they didn't have a chance to walk us through all the hotel amenities and benefits. This was a minor point, as everything else was fantastic.
The only other small hiccup was on our last morning, when the breakfast restaurant was extremely busy with a 25-minute wait. Despite these two small points, our experience was fantastic from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our time and can't wait to return on our next trip to Toronto.

Beautiful hotel located in Yorkville. Close to the ROM, and many luxury stores and food services. They gave us a graduation gift pastry, as well as upgraded the room. The room service breakfast was amazing, delicious pastries. Staff were all helpful and kind, delivering amazing service throughout our stay. The room was clean and modern, with many unique amenities like wireless charging and a bluetooth speaker. The valet service was also spectacular. Can't recommend them enough.

We had our wedding at Harding Waterfront Estate and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. The estate itself is absolutely stunning, from the waterfront views to the beautiful architecture, it felt elegant, timeless, and intimate all at once.

What truly made our experience exceptional, though, was the incredible service. Joan, our main contact for the venue, was a dream to work with. She was so kind, responsive, and on top of every little detail. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Joan made the whole process smooth and stress-free, we always felt like we were in good hands.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was, and we’re so happy we chose this venue for such a special day. I can’t recommend this property enough. Everything from the setting to the staff was beyond amazing.

Harding Waterfront Estate is one of those places that feels like magic the moment you arrive. As a photographer, I absolutely adore shooting here, the soft lakeside light, the grand, inviting estate, and the peaceful, romantic setting make it a dream. There’s something about the way the sun glows through the trees in the late afternoon that just makes every photo feel extra special. The mix of natural beauty and timeless architecture gives so much variety without ever needing to leave the grounds. I leave each time feeling like I’ve captured something really special, this venue has a quiet magic that shows up in every frame.

We had this place booked a year and a half out without even visiting it in person! Over the last five months or so, we've been going back and forth with our coordinator Joan, over a few phone calls, a single in-person meeting at our tasting and a giant email thread. Joan was integral to our big day and to everything running smoothly. We opted for the buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it both on the night of and at our tasting. The food is all anyone could talk about in the following days so shoutout to the chefs who did an amazihng job! The venue and its grounds are truly beautiful and I could not have asked for better service from Joan, Taylor and the entire team!

Nice location close by the Park and lakefront with a view. You can enjoy a nice quiet nature walk around this area in the morning. Overall the green space and estate is stunning.

We met Stephanie through a mutual friend and right away, we knew we wanted to work with her for our wedding. We originally had chosen a different decor vendor to work with but that quickly turned into a disappointing nightmare so when we met Stephanie, it was a huge relief to know that she understood our vision and she was so easy going and easy to talk to.
Stephanie’s catalogue of wedding decor is full of beautiful pieces to choose from. I found everything I wanted for our theme and could have added so much more because there is so many choices.
Stephanie was always prompt to reply to my messages and never left us hanging.
On the Friday before our wedding, I wanted to make a few slight changes and Stephanie was extremely accommodating and even went above and beyond to say “dont worry, I got you” which meant that she would bring extra linens to the venue and would make what I asked come to reality. The wedding decor was absolutely stunning!!

Lavish Linen and Decor was amazing to work with to plan our venue decor and make our vision come to life! We got married in a shop on the family farm, but after Stephanie and her team were done decorating it did not feel like a plain shop! Stephanie was great to work with as she really listened to what we wanted and she would propose great ideas if our 'plan A' didn't work for any reason. Stephanie was professional and polite and offered a variety of decor items! When I was in between ideas for table decor she let me borrow a few items to play around with different ideas. Reasonable price too compared to other decor rentals. Would recommend at least meeting with Stephanie especially if you are doing a large scale project as it really made an impact at our venue location on the farm. All in we rented fabric draping for the ceiling/walls, cafe lights, table linens, and table decor items... and she did our live greenery/flowers for guest tables. It all came together in a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable cost!

Lavish is absolutely amazing!!! We could not have asked for more for our wedding. Stephanie went above and beyond and was AMAZING to work with. The whole process was so smooth, she was so easy to communicate with, and she has incredible experience, knowledge and artistry in her work. She did all of our decor and our florals and we could truly not be happier, everything was absolutely breathtaking!!! Stephanie at Lavish just did both our decor and florals for our July 22 wedding in Calgary. Wow is all I can say. She absolutely knocked it out of the park! The decorations were absolutely stunning and she went above and beyond to create our vision but better! The flowers were STUNNING. Everyone commented on how gorgeous they were. I’m even having them preserved because she did such a great job of capturing exactly what I had wanted. Stephanie is kind, professional, and experienced. I especially loved the ease at which she flipped our venue from ceremony to reception and then came and packed it all up afterwards. It was SO nice to not have to worry about anything. I would highly recommend Stephanie and her services to anyone!

Stephanie and her team were great to work with! We came in with a moody romantic vision and it all came to life. We had the pleasure of attending a seminar at the Lodge of Queen Place, located on Queen Street West, and it was a truly memorable experience. The venue is a beautiful mix of artistic charm and contemporary design, making it perfect for both professional events and special celebrations.

The atmosphere is rich with character – blending a sense of nostalgia with creative, modern touches. Each space within the lodge is thoughtfully designed, offering a unique visual experience that sparks inspiration. The environment feels warm and welcoming, encouraging both focus and creativity.

One thing to note is that the venue features some sharp and narrow stairs, which may require extra attention, especially for guests with mobility concerns. It’s something to consider when planning events with a diverse group of attendees.

Despite that, the overall experience was excellent. The staff were kind, professional, and ensured everything went smoothly. The Lodge of Queen Place stands out not just as a location, but as an experience in itself. For anyone looking to host a seminar, celebration, or artistic event in a distinctive and memorable setting, this place on Queen Street West is a fantastic choice.

We had our wedding here in May and had an unforgettable time! We fell in love with this place at once. The quirky, eclectic decor really spoke to us and we knew instantly that this would be the venue. The most important factor for us was the ease and simplicity of planning.

Fortunately, the venue came with the best day-of event coordinator ever, Anna! From the very beginning, she made the whole process very simple. We just made the big choices (timeline, food options, DJ, extra decorations, and guest list) and she handled the rest. She shared in our excitement and we felt supported right up until the end of our night; everything that we needed, she took care of!

We ended up choosing the vegan dim sum station for our dinner station and it was phenomenal! Everything was made in-house and we wish that we ate more! All of the staff were professional and enthusiastic. We highly recommend this venue and Anna to anyone looking for an intimate and stress-free wedding!

We loved the venue as soon as we walked in – it has a great vibe – comfortable, and yet very elegant. We were tasked with finding a “cool venue” to host a high school prom, and after a long search – Lodge on Queen was the perfect fit.

We were even more impressed by the venue after meeting and chatting with Anna, the Event Planner there. She is so friendly and easy to work with – and had SO many great ideas that we incorporated into our event.

On the night of, we then got to meet the rest of Anna’s team and they were incredible! Super professional and helpful - we just showed up with bags of event gear and food – and they all immediately got to work right away knowing what to do! We did not have to do or explain a thing- they instinctively knew what to do. We felt like everything was completely well in hand the whole time.

Anna, her team, and the Chef were so organized, having everything timed down to the minute – which I was super impressed with and grateful for. The event went perfectly from beginning to end.

Anna even sewed one of our guests’ dresses back together right in the middle of the event – super impressive!!

The students are still talking about how great the venue was, and how amazing the whole evening was – and that is high praise from teenagers!

A big thank you to Anna and her team for a truly memorable night – we will not hesitate to book an event again here in the future.

I've got nothing but good things to say about Lodge on Queen after photographing an anniversary party there last fall.

Anna and her staff were on top of things from the moment I arrived until I left 4 hours later - between fulfilling my requests, as well as my clients and their guests. They also never seemed to slow down on the super tasty hors d'oeuvres being brought out for the guests.

What really captured my attention at Lodge on Queen was the look of the space. This venue has it all for the beautiful rustic loft look. Wooden floors, exposed brick, stained glass and walls covered in stunning art work. Even the furniture selection was very tastefully done.

All in all, I highly recommend this venue for anyone to looking for a place to host their event or wedding. You really can't go wrong.

Amazing!! The space was as beautiful as expected and was the exact right vibe for the wedding we were looking for.
Anna and Shandra were on top of everything and made sure that all of our guests (and us!) had the best night and that everything went as planned.
On top of that, the food and service from the staff was top notch. Our guests were raving the whole night about how great the food was. Great experience all around and I am looking forward to an excuse to have another event at the Lodge on Queen again.

UPDATE. I did receive the information needed in order to find my way to the onsite parking once I had spoken to someone by phone. The venue did update their website following my intervention. Good and effective response. I did not appreciate the undertones of managements response here, which left me feeling like I had a role to play in my inability to find the missing information regarding the parking access. Not to mention that there was no signage indicating where to go once out of the elevators, considering the direct access to the venue was closed. New rating 3 Stars.

I have not found any information regarding where to access your ON-SITE PARKING. What address is your parking lot? The person who answered your phone didn't even realize the information wasn't indicated on your website. I suggested letting the people who are responsible for the missing information know about this. One star.

I had a very grateful experience at this venue. Every single one of the staff were great, pleasant, and always smiling. The manager walked by three or four times during the event to check on things, and the owner passed by as well.

What I appreciated the most was the respectful communication between the management and staff. In the catering and venue business, I've seen managers act like Gordon Ramsay towards their staff, but this was the complete opposite.

There was a tiny hiccup (out of their hands), and the management offered a much greater compensation than anticipated.

You can tell a successful establishment from miles away, and this one—despite being new—is surely competing to be among the very best venues in the city.

We had such a wonderful experience at this wedding venue! The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming to all the guests, making us feel truly cared for throughout the event. Beautiful cathedral on the inside, double tiered with great stained glass. Didn't get a full look as a baptism was in progress. They ring the bells nice and loud so you can hear it blocks away. RFID tap at entrance to offer a donation.

Beautiful building. Hard to get good pictures inside without disturbing everyone even though it wasn't a mass time. Loved hearing the bells ring at noon and 6 pm. They do ask all visitors to pay some money even if you don't do the tour.

I had a wonderful experience visiting this church. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the community made me feel comfortable right away. The service was meaningful, and the message was inspiring. It’s a peaceful place for reflection and worship.

The Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is absolutely breathtaking. From the outside, its twin spires rise above the city and make it one of Ottawa’s most iconic landmarks. Inside, the beauty is even more striking—vaulted blue ceilings painted with golden stars, ornate wooden sculptures, and stunning stained-glass windows that bring incredible light and colour into the space. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are remarkable, especially in the sanctuary with its intricate carvings and statues.

It’s not just a place of worship, but also a work of art and a piece of Canadian history. Whether you’re visiting for quiet reflection, to admire the architecture, or to experience one of the concerts or services, it leaves a lasting impression. A must-see when in Ottawa.

Amazing - peaceful place with lots of arts. The art on wall and cowering is amazing . There was a read with lots of candles which offered peace. You can come to this church , and meditate for hours in peace and silence .

We just had our wedding catered by Simply Elegant on August 16th. The company is amazing to work with. Right from the beginning, communication was quick and efficient. The chef was accommodating of our, slightly odd, request. We had a christmas themed wedding, and Simply Elegant recreated their Holiday menu for us for it! We did a tasting prior to signing, and it was as amazing as the food was on the day of the wedding! We had so many left overs too so the quantities were great! We had so many compliments from our friends and family about the food! Could not have asked for a better wedding day meal! Will highly recommend in the future!

We ordered catering from this company and everything was amazing! The food was fresh and very delicious, all our guests were satisfied. We use Simply Elegant catering for our breakfast board meetings and they never disappoint! The food is always tasty and they show up on time and come back to pick up the equipment afterwards. They are our GO TO catering company and we highly recommend them.

Lauren worked with my husband and I for ten months leading up to our wedding and I can confidently say that her incredible work made the single largest impact on our day. Lauren expertly handled the wedding logistics leading up to and on the day of, taking away all of the pressure and stress from us. We were able to completely relax and enjoy our wedding because of the trust she built with us. Lauren also provided excellence guidance whenever we had questions or concerns with other vendors. She flawlessly executed our vision when it came to the look, feel and flow of our day. I constantly found myself saying "I can't believe how amazing everything looks, it's better than what I had showed her on Pinterest!". The cherry on top is that Lauren is amazing to work with. She is a true joy to be around and brings light and positivity with her. I'm incredibly grateful to Lauren and her assistant, Emma for making our wedding day the most incredible day of our lives.

Hands down this was the best decision we made for our wedding. Lauren, Emma, and Kass made our day so special. They were all so kind and thorough and they all had such great eye for detail and design. We received so many comments on how seamlessly the day was executed and I couldn't agree more, there was no point where I felt stressed or as if something wasn't going to plan. From directing family photos and group shots, to setting up decor and tearing it all down at the end of the night, they did everything so well.

Lauren is also such a kind person, truly the definition of someone who makes you feel like they've known you for a lifetime. Lauren and her team are amazing and I would suggest them to anyone looking for a full wedding planner or coordinator!

This cathedral is the oldest in Toronto. Its interior can only be described in one word , "Breathtaking ." From its ceiling high stained glass windows to It's impeccably clean clear windows. My only concern is that although it is wheelchair accessible, there are no clear signs posted that state so. Unfortunately, this is my only concern regarding the church. I had to wait over 30 minutes for a staff member to notice me and direct me to the wheelchair accessible entrance. I tried calling the church for assistance several times but was only answered by a recorded message. That didn't taint my experience there once I managed to gain access to the church. I highly recommend that if you're in the downtown Toronto area of Church and Queen Sts. If you find yourself with a little time to spare, please drop in for a visit. You'll find yourself unexpectedly in awe of your surroundings as you immerse yourself in its glory and beauty. I was so enthralled by its magnificence that I forgot to take photos. I apologize in advance to all who read my review.

I attended the Sunday session at 10am. Angelic! Perfect for newcomers. Smiling faces. You'll get coffee after the service too. Finished around 11:30am.

I am very emotional about churches, especially these gothic cathedrals. It's so well maintained and beautiful. I had years in my eyes during the Holy Communion (Lord's Supper/Bread/Wine).

Christians with stringent beliefs, the church won't necessarily match you beliefs. It has a pride flag hanging and you'll get uncomfortable.

It's located in the heart of Toronto. It's a beautiful church with nice architecture.
The Cathedral has been designated as an Ontario Heritage Property by the Ministry of Culture and has also been designated as a heritage site by Heritage Toronto. I had a peaceful experience here.Exterior of the church is beautiful too and I went on a Sunny day so it added to the beauty. Quite accessible with private sndy punvkivy transport.

We got married here in July 2025 and could not be happier with our experience. From the very beginning, the team was fantastic to work with — it was easy to set up viewings, and their communication was always clear and timely. The online portal made planning so much easier, helping us stay organized and on track.

Our experience at the Brownstone was fantastic! They were so accommodating from start to finish, making us feel welcomed and excited in every step throughout the process. Bretton and the team made sure they were in constant communication with us throughout the planning and we really felt looked after.

10/10 would recommend the Wedding Coordinator service. Bretton took all of the details we wanted and made it a reality. She really took the weight off of figuring out vendors, pick-ups/drop-offs while still making sure the overall esthetic of the wedding was how we envisioned it. She stayed in touch days up to the wedding to really put us at ease.

We had a great experience with Brownstone after our wedding venue flooded and we had to look for an alternative. The team was super considerate and professional laying out all the details and setting very clear expectations.

We loved the look of the new “Offsite” venue as well. I think either offsite or brownstone would serve as an excellent wedding or corporate venue with a very competent crew.

I highly recommend the Global Centre for Pluralism for their venue rental. I used them for a corporate meeting and event. The Dialogue Centre and lobby are clean, beautiful and modern with a lot of natural light - our guests really enjoyed it. All staff and Hicham in particular were very professional and accommodating. Coordination between the venue, AV services and catering went super smoothly.

We've done a few events at Globe & Mail and always had such an amazing experience from a planner side of things and for our clients. The staff at this venue are so caring and always go above and beyond to ensure the celebration is absolutely perfect. Last September we worked closely with Natasha and can't say enough great things about her. She was responsive, flexible, and on wedding day made sure we had everything we needed.

This is a building with an amazing view to Toronto downtown. It's probably the best view. I believe 17th floor is where they organize different events and it's where I was when I visited this place last time. Also a large balcony all around the building. Really great

I had the privilege of attending the Spring for Peace event in Toronto yesterday, hosted by Peacebuilders Canada at the stunning Globe and Mail Centre. It was an honor to be part of such an impactful gathering aimed at fostering peace and unity in our community.

Huge thanks to Eva Marszewski for the invitation and for her incredible work as the founder of Peace Builders International, as well as being a fellow member of Catalyst 2030.

The keynote address by the Honorable Minister for Women, Gender Equality and Youth, Merci Ien, was truly inspiring. Her emphasis on the importance of empowerment and educative programs in shaping the lives of youths across Canada resonated deeply.

Events like these remind us of the importance of creating a world where every voice matters. Kudos to the Peacebuilders team for their dedication and hard work in making this event a success.

A very top notch romantic restaurant. I recently went for a Sunday Dinner to celebrate an anniversary and this is easily in the top restaurants I've been to. The staff are exceptionally personable, helpful and so nice, the views are obviously amazing and it's a treat to have a location like this overseeing a lake yet be inner city. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was knowledgeable to help recommend the best meat cooked level and provide great drink and menu choices. We started with Crab and Potatoe Croquettes that were actually amazing and had very little crab smell and the texture with plating a treat for sure! After the appetizer our main dishes were plated with care and tasted amazing. The bison was delicious with the vegetable side and the stuffed pastry was actually an 11/10 and blew us away. The Ribeye was classic and cooked to perfection with the Potatoes and Broccoli and it definitely was a steakhouse quality dish. The desert being the lime creme brule was good and I would rate it visually a 10 but for taste it sat around an 8. It was not bad at all but having a meal where every item hits a solid 10 really holds a high bar that is both exciting and yummy to see. I give this place a 10/10 and highly recomme d everyone visit to enjoy a romantic dinner.

The Lake House in Calgary is a stunning spot with incredible views and equally impressive food. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a special night out or a cozy dinner. The menu showcases local ingredients with real care, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. A must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience by the water.

Wonderful outdoor patio experience, got there before it became too crowded and loved the view of Bonaventure lake beach, great sounds, music was perfect, atmosphere was amazing, and servers were very passionate 😁 would recommend to a friend, 9.8/10, indoor dining area was straight from the set of a culinary movie!!! Had our wedding here couple years ago & also dine yearly for our anniversary. It’s always a hit with the food and service! The ambience is romantic and perfect for a wedding!

We dined here for the first time for their new years eve menu. The ambience was great and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff gave us a choice of where to sit which was a nice touch. We did get a couple of the wine pairings with the meal, and they were expertly paired! The meal itself was delicious and offered a nice variety of flavors with each course. Very well done. The service was fantastic and all the staff were very attentive. We will definitely be back in the summer to check out the view once the lake is thawed, and to enjoy another meal.

The accessibility is top-notch, with an elevator making it easy for everyone to navigate the space comfortably. The location is also incredibly convenient, making it simple for guests to find and enjoy.

What truly stands out is the hospitality—the team goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is taken care of, leaving you feeling welcomed and valued. If you’re planning an event, I highly recommend checking out The Pioneer on 8th! It’s a perfect combination of style, functionality, and warm service."

We had our wedding ceremony at the Garret and a cocktail-style wedding reception at the Pioneer in February 2024 and everything was perfect. Great communication and support leading up to our big day and execution on the day of was flawless.

Both venues have such great vibes on their own that we really didn't need to do much from a decor perspective, and opted to just enhance the buildings' incredible features with lighting, florals and candles - though the possibilities are truly endless. We received feedback from our guests (many from out of town) that the location was great as it was easily accessible and it was fun to be right in the action on Stephen Avenue.

The service from the SugarWater team on the bar was excellent - though we had a crowd of big drinkers there was never a line at the bar and our guests loved not only the craft cocktails but the really thoughtful selection of wines and local beers and seltzers.

We would highly, highly recommend the Pioneer for a wedding or any other event, celebration or gathering. Thank you to the whole team!

On June 11 Epilepsy Association of Calgary hosted 130 guests, performers, artists and event volunteers and at its inaugural Purple Day by Night fundraising gala at The Pioneer. This was such a special night and the venue itself added to the magic of a bustling late spring evening on Stephen Avenue. Guests and event volunteers were pleased with all aspects of the event and we've booked the venue for 2023. Thank you Heather Coke and team for your patience and helpful guidance in making our night a success!

It was an absolute pleasure to provide technology for a private event for XERO here! Plenty of available circuits with good ampage, accommodating staff (particularly Wyatt), and reasonably good loading dock access (given it's downrown). Would be happy to work here again; thanks, folks! :)

Invited here for a live music event that turned out to be much more than we all thought it would be. We thought we were going to see four musicians play their sets, but instead for a musicians sat facing each other told a series of stories and then rift off each other for the entire evening in a delightful and experiential entertainment event. It's a beautiful space and I look forward to my next visit and Calgary to see what they might be hosting then.

We got married at Twist at the end of August 2025. We immediately loved the venue when we first visited, but we also really appreciated the approach of Nadia and her team. They are so organized, practical, and kind. We worked mostly with Nimna, Nadia, and Marisa leading up to the day and Kevin coordinating during the event. Twist provides really helpful planning document and a floor plan that made me look like the most organized bride. The venue was beautiful and everything turned out even better than we had envisioned! We received so many compliments on the bartenders, staff, the venue, and the food from our guests. Our wedding was so smooth and felt effortless to us. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

We recently had our wedding at Twist Gallery, and it was an unforgettable experience! The venue is stunning—warm, elegant, full of charm, and has a unique artistic vibe that made our day feel truly special.

Nimna, Marisa, and Kevin were fantastic to work with. They were organized, responsive, and ensured everything ran smoothly, both during planning and on the big day. Day of, their professionalism allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment.

The bar and wait staff were both friendly and attentive. We received many compliments on the food, which was not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared to accommodate various dietary needs.

Our band, Elfrida, had no issues setting up all their band equipment for both the ceremony and reception—everything worked seamlessly in the space and they sounded awesome!

We can’t recommend Twist Gallery enough for weddings or special events, and we’re excited to return to enjoy the rotating art exhibitions.

We got married at twist in July 2025. We had an unusual wedding - no dancing and no alcoholic. We were going to play music. Nadia and Nimna were fantastic at understanding our vision, giving suggestions, and helping make our day PERFECT.

Meeting and Planning: Throughout the meeting and event planning, we really appreciated how much they let us do our own thing on our own time, while still helping us keep organized. Their documents were perfectly outlined to help. When we had trouble figuring out table settings since we didn’t want to do flowers, they sent us many photo ideas. They helped us figure out logistics of floor plan and more.

Day Of - Atmosphere: They let us come in the day before to drop off boxes. Nimna and I went through them all to make sure she knew where things were. On the day of, when my husband and I arrived to set up our music, they were already there setting up for the wedding. They perfectly arranged everything. The space looked beautiful, everything was organized, and they did outstanding at making sure the space was perfect. The gallery was stunning. They were also incredibly fast at moving the chairs from the ceremony to the reception. The staff also had everything boxed up for us for a couple days later to pick up.

Day of - Kevin. Kevin did an amazing job with allergies and intolerances. He also helped with two of our families who used the chairlift. They were both treated with immense dignity and respect in a vulnerable situation.

Day of - Catering Team and Bartenders: having a non-alcoholic drinks bar was definitely outside of the norm but the staff were amazing. They always gave me extra cherries in my drink because they knew i liked them. We also had a family member with dementia who they helped so kindly and graciously. The catering team was efficient, attentive, and fantastic. I’ve never seen a wedding where food was out so quickly. They did a fantastic job with a last minute seating change that they handled without me or my husband knowing. They also were alway serving water, which for me was a huge plus. The food was fantastic. Multiple people commented that it was the best catering they’ve ever seen.

Day of - Security: The security was fantastic. Since it is above a bar, they had security included in the venue. He was dressed in a lovely professional suit and was so kind to our guests. He helped some of our older people up and down the stairs and went above and beyond.

Overall, we truly had the best day. And not to brag, I think the best wedding i’ve ever been to (not just because it was mine).

I would really encourage anyone and everyone to consider twist as the space for their wedding. Not just because it’s a beautiful space, you can make many spaces beautiful. It’s the staff and team there that make it truly a wedding venue of your dreams. Truly we couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day. I’ve never been to a wedding where it felt like nothing went wrong, until I worked with Twist.

I saw comments about the sound from the bar below, yes you could hear it, and that might impact weddings with dancing, but for us, we barely noticed it.

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at Twist! We had a destination wedding a few months before so we were able to compare planning for both and I cannot emphasize enough how much easier it was to plan our celebration at Twist!!! The staff were incredibly organized and made planning super easy and stress free! They were so accommodating with all of our requests and went above and beyond trying to make our day as special as possible. All pricing was super transparent and costs were incredibly reasonable. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved the intimate vibe of the space. Would 10000% recommend!!!!!

Twist Gallery was the perfect winter wedding venue! If you want to simplify your wedding planning without compromising a on a beautiful venue with top quality food and service I'd highly recommend. The stunning loft-style space with skylights, wooden beams, twinkly lights, and artwork create a beautiful ambiance. We hired a florist but had no other decor brought in and the place was stunning. Gusto’s catering was exceptional; our guests are still raving about the delicious food and top-notch service. Nadia and Nimna were fantastic to work with, always prompt and helpful. Highly recommend Twist Gallery for anyone looking for a unique and elegant event space!

This hotel hyped this venue up way too much for my liking. My Aunt decided to throw her 55th birthday party at venue twenty two this past weekend and it turned out disastrous! The dinner before the actual party which was at The Shore Club restaurant was awful, everyone who ordered the steak dinner ended up with what I’m assuming to be food poisoning because they all had to run to the washroom multiple times throughout the night. There were also finger foods that were prepared for the party that the staff put out way too early after the dinner(this was an invite only party so the guest that were at the dinner were the same guest to attend the party) and it ended up going to waste for the most part because it was only 15-20 mins after everyone went upstairs that the food went out. To top it off the staff ended up packing up all of the food because then they decided it was “left out too long” which is understandable, but the point being was that the food should have not been brought out until later that evening that way everyone could have enjoyed it. The staff also treated the attending DJ horribly as they kept telling him to turn the music down in a room which advertised to be “soundproof”. We didn’t want the music blasting, but loud enough for us to be able to enjoy it in a room that size. We weren’t able to hear it because they continuously interrupted the DJ telling him to turn it down Needless to say the money that was spent on this party went to waste and I do not recommend renting this venue after the way we were treated. Do better Westin, this was very disappointing.

We recently hosted our wedding at Venue Twenty Two. We can’t express enough how perfectly the service was orchestrated by the Westin. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner! The venue is beyond beautiful. The floor to ceiling windows offered amazing views of downtown Ottawa and the sunset was breathtaking from up there! Our coordinator was Kayla Camus leading up to the event and Mariam on the day of. They were both so professional, organized and answered my many many questions promptly! Thank you both so much! We would recommend the Westin/Venue Twenty Two to any future brides/grooms!

Wonderful venue, recently attended a cocktail reception in this space, located on the 22nd floor of the Westin Ottawa. There are wrap around windows with expansive views of the city, highlighted by the Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. The bartenders and service staff were friendly and efficient with serving guests and I noticed that they were extra diligent in keeping the room tidy throughout the event. This is an excellent choice for business and personal functions!
