They have super delicious cakes over there. I love them a lot. My favorite cakes over there are the Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge, and Death By Chocolate cakes. Plus, they allow you to order customized cakes, where you can talk to one of their cake makers and specify to them what would you like to see on your cake. I once bought this custom-made green Philadelphia Eagles cake from them back in January ahead of my Philadelphia Eagles being in the playoffs, and it came out really good. On top of it tasting really good too, obviously!

I had a very pleasant experience with Les délices Lafrenaie Saint-Léonard. I requested a custom cake for the engagement party of my friend and, even though I’ve enjoyed this bakery for a long time now, I was a little stressed about the outcome of that specific custome cake. However, I could not have been more happy with the result - they delivered a cake that was exactly like the picture shown! Not only was it beautiful, it was also delicious and such a hit at the party! They took the time to answer all my questions and delivered a final product that was above and beyond! Thank you to the team and a special thank you also to Victoria who was very patient and professional !

Amazing discovery. This bakery is top tier. Great selection of cakes, pastries, Italian products and so much more. The cakes are DELICIOUS! Moist, flavourful, not too sweet, well balanced. The Biscoff is so tasty. Prices are very fair, will now go back for every celebration. Note that they only take cash or debit.

Brent made us a beautiful and delicious 3-tier cake for our wedding in May 2025! The white chocolate raspberry and peanut butter chocolate layers were great, and we can’t wait to eat the final salted caramel layer which we saved. Everything went smoothly from the cake tasting to delivery at the venue, he also took great care of our somewhat-delicate cake topper (which I made). We would definitely order from Mitchel’s again!

My daughter wanted a Mamma Mia! Themed birthday party for her 13th birthday and my husband found Mitchel's Cake and Dessert Company online. My daughter searched for cake design ideas she wanted and those pictures were shared for reference and we were so impressed. It looked exactly how she wanted; the cake was amazing! It looked fantastic and tasted great too! We will definitely order again in the future! Thank you :)

This beautiful 4-tier cake with a different flavour in each tier had people talking. (Chocolate/vanilla/carrot cake with cream cheese fondant) served 180 people.

I have ordered a birthday cake for a 3 years old that looked very nice and well decorated. Icing and filling tasted good but all rest of the cake was very dry.
I had very high expectations cause I paid $ 170 for it. I was expecting an exceptional and super delicious cake for that amount of money. I always thought that their cakes were overpriced but I was willing to pay that much because of the occasion, but honestly I was very disappointed.

We decided to go with Mitchel's for our fall wedding and couldn't be more pleased. Our guests and us enjoyed how delicious our chocolate cake was.

I remember discussing how we wanted to decorate the cake prior to the day and we weren't 100% certain what we wanted-except for our toppers haha.

We felt confident leaving the final design process up to the professionals with the few details we did finalize, and it ended up looking so amazing. Thank you Mitchels!

This is a cozy little spot for authentic Italian sweets. They’ve got a big variety of pastries, cakes, chocolates, and other treats, everything feels like it was made by someone’s Italian grandma lol. They might not look super fancy, but they taste amazing. The place is also known for its gelato, though I didn’t get a chance to try it this time. The staff were friendly and helpful, patiently explaining what’s in each item. I was really happy with what I ordered and will definitely be back to try more. The vibe is warm and homey, kind of like being at grandma’s house. There are a few tables in the back, and some paid street parking nearby.

Visited this place multiple times and never been disappointed. From horn rolls to cakes, everything is delicious. The gelato here is equally exceptional—rich, creamy, and full of unique flavors that you won’t find elsewhere. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that makes each visit memorable. It's a gem of a spot, perfect for treating yourself or sharing sweet moments with loved ones.

Really enjoyed the gelato here. This Italian bakery has a great selection of treats and sweets, from pastries to cakes. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially when I mentioned my nut allergy. They took extra care, which I really appreciated. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Little Italy.

Advertising cannoli "made fresh"but that's not the case. "Summer drinks" (strawberry daiquiri and "blue raspberry martini") seemed taken right out of the most complicated recipe book, three staff to figure out the recipes despite being on the menu. Served in the least probable glasses for such drinks. Two other clients behind us ordering coffees and that also seemed to be highly confusing. Perhaps ensuring staff is trained on menu items prior to advertising them.

Fantastic cannolis but average gelato

This little gem of pastry and gelato is nestled in the heart of Ottawa’s Little Italy district. On the plus side, their coffee and lattes are a pleasant surprise. Whether you opt for a classic espresso, a creamy cappuccino, or a perfectly frothed latte, the coffee is rich, bold, and well-balanced—just what you’d expect from a café in Little Italy.

With its charming atmosphere, warm service, and top-notch pastries, this spot is a great choice for a sweet treat and a well-made coffee. Skip the gelato, grab a cannoli and a latte, and enjoy a little taste of Italy in Ottawa.

Under new management and had a grand opening over the weekend with a beautiful new sign, layout, magnificent pastries and more!
So far, we've only tried this carrot cake from them but it was the best carrot cake we've ever had and it's not even close.
New owner Laura and her team are super nice and very welcoming. We wish them all the best and we can't wait to go back for more delicious treats

Spent $130 dollars yesterday as had guests coming over. Panini were stale and old - I’ve been a few times since the new owners and they never have any bread when I go- and that’s in the late morning early afternoon- how does that happen at a bakery?? They’re cannoli have always been their best product but yesterday even those where inedible. Stale and soft when the shell should be crunchy- and the filling was horrible. Won’t be visiting again. Kept hearing how great it was with the new owner but sorry my experience has not been good at all.

Patisserie Vimont is hands down my favourite bakery, my go-to for cakes, pizzas, coldcuts, bread, pastries and catering. They really surpassed my expectations. 🩷 Laura and her team are absolutely incredible, not only they are professional and welcoming but their products are fresh, high quality and delicious. Patisserie Vimont really made my vision come to life.

Change can be good, but in this case it’s abysmal. Over the past few months the quality and availability of the products has steadily gone downhill. There’s barely any charcuterie to choose from. It’s reached the point where I had to literally throw away the baked goods I bought that day because they were inedible. The paninis and white pizza were flat and had a strong taste of yeast.

I tried really hard to like the changes that were made with the new owners. Unfortunately until they address their quality control issues I will no longer be a frequent customer. I don’t seem to be the only one that came to this conclusion, just compare the line up of clients at the other local bakery down the street.

Came in to buy a red velvet cake with hopes and Dreams the staff promising a fresh cake of the day not knowing going home later that night the cake was expired smell like rotten milk and they denied it! Horrible service, rude staff! You can tell from the picture how not fresh not to mention the SMELL COMING OUT OF THE CAKE ROTTEN EGGS OR FROZEN FOR DAYS OR WEEKS!!!

We’ve been going to Pâtisserie Dolci Più for years, and it’s the one place we keep coming back to without a second thought. Everything is always fresh the savoury pastries are perfect and the sweets are perfectly and not overly sweet, you can actually taste the flavours and not sugar. I’m also not a fan of whipped cream but their cream they use for cakes is perfectly light and yummy, even their salads and sandwiches are so well seasoned and full of flavor. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel easy and pleasant. All of our birthday cakes come from here, and they’ve never let us down always beautiful and delicious. I also love how their displays keep changing with new seasonal items; it’s exciting to walk in and see something different every time. It’s rare to find a bakery that stays this consistent yet still manages to surprise you, and that’s why Dolci Più will always be our go-to spot.

The positive: Dolci Piu’s cakes are honestly excellent. Very light and lovely base and buttercream, with great variety and beautifully decorated. The pastries and cookies are also great. I can’t speak for their prêt a manger selection nor their cupcakes, I’ve never tried them.

The negative: The woman I assume to be the owner (or at the very least a long time manager; she is also the one who usually takes phonecalls) - my god is this woman poorly trained in customer service. Every time I have had the misfortune of speaking with her, she has been rude, short, condescending, and overall left a bad taste in my mouth, which is unfortunate because the rest of her staff is lovely. When dining in, she will actively turn her back or ignore you despite being the only person behind the counter, to the point where we have simply upped and left.

I do love this bakery, genuinely, and I always recommend it to others. That being said, I can only hope this woman stops interacting with her clientele entirely, because she sours the whole experience.

Absolutely in love with the cake for my daughter’s baptism. It was gorgeous and insanely delicious. We received so many compliments from everyone. Best service over the phone and in person! 10/10. Please do yourself a favor and order all your cakes and sweets from here!

Patisserie Dolci Piu has been our go-to spot for the longest time, and it remains one of the absolute best patisseries in Montreal. Every time we visit, we're reminded why we keep returning—this place never disappoints!

For me, it's all about the cannolis. They are hands down some of the best I've ever had—perfectly crisp shells filled with creamy, flavorful ricotta filling that’s just the right amount of sweet. But while the cannolis are my usual choice, I’ve also tried their cakes, pastries, and coffee, and everything is just top-notch. Each dessert is made with high-quality ingredients and a level of craftsmanship that sets Dolci Piu apart from the rest. Their cakes, whether for a special occasion or just a casual treat, are rich, beautifully designed, and absolutely delicious.

Beyond the sweets, they also serve sandwiches, making it a great place to stop by for a quick bite. The balance of flavors in their sandwiches, along with fresh ingredients, makes them just as good as their pastries.

The atmosphere at Dolci Piu is another reason we love it. The place is always clean, well-organized, and inviting. Whether you're grabbing something to go or sitting down for a coffee and pastry, the experience is always pleasant. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, always greeting customers with a smile and making sure everyone is taken care of.

My kids have also developed a love for Dolci Piu—every time I’m in Montreal, they expect me to bring back cannolis from there. It’s become a little family tradition, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This bakery is by far the best bakery ever! I’ve been going here for years and they’ve done all my cakes from my birthday, friend’s birthdays, to my wedding cake. They are absolutely the best! With the design, delivery, and flavour. They are the complete package. My self and family members have nut allergies and it’s so nice how they are completely nut free. There is no one else better than them! The absolute best bakery 🩷

Where do I begin?! I’d give ten stars if I could! I was following them on Instagram for ages and finally visited today for a cake tasting and it was dellliicccioouussss. The cupcakes were so fresh, beautifully presented and the customer service was warm and kind 💕 The smell when I walked in put me in a trance it was so good! I highly recommend. I’ll be choosing them to do my cake but will be back in the mean time for more treats 😋 thank you short and sweet!

Staff is phenomenal, for my birthday this year, Ness helped my partner surprise me by taking my favourite cupcake chunky monkey and turn it into cake form! They've never done a full version of it before, but it was so successful they've added it to their menu😍

BEST CUPCAKES IN TORONTO! The texture of the red velvet cupcakes is so bouncy and the butter cream icing on the other cupcakes is delicious. The staff were so helpful and nice.

A most pleasant customer experience was had by me on the phone. I ordered the Sprinkler birthday cake. Peanut-free bakery was key because I had dietary restrictions for some of my birthday guests.
The cake was delicious!!!
Party goers thought there was a a heavy amount of icing.

They offer the most unique and natural flavours. Their cakes are amazingly artistic, have the perfect texture, sweetness and flavours. I definitely recommend trying their chocolate ganache cake, vanilla berry cake and pineapple cake.

Awesome custom cakes options at reasonable price. They offer eggless cakes with many different flavours to choose from. I have availed their service on multiple occasions and they worked with me to create perfect design for each occasion. Highly recommended!

One of the best tasting cakes in the city. They’re spot on with their flavours, level of sweetness and creativity. They also accommodate to any dietary restrictions. They’re quick to respond and very easy to communicate with.

Cake looks great with the icing decoration but the actual cake is horribly dry and no flavor. Will not order from here again or recommend. Also, trying to communicate with the person who makes the cake was very difficult. Would not respond to messages till a day later. No paperwork to finalize the order and got my order wrong!

We ordered our first cake with Sweet Cakes by Vernz. It's probably one the of top cakes we have ever had. It's fresh, moist, not super sweet yet super tasty. We will definitely come back again!

We had the pleasure of working with Verna for our wedding cake and cupcakes, and she was amazing to work with! We had a taste testing and she worked with our ideas to make our vision come to life. Our cakes and cupcakes turned out amazing - both beautiful and tasted so good (that 'not too sweet' type of cakes). We received a lot of compliments from our guests and many asked where we got them. 100% would recommend for special events and for your everyday cakes.

Tried the ube cheese pandesal from Sweet Cakes by Vernz—unfortunately, not worth the $9 for 6 pieces. The cheese inside was completely frozen and the bread lacked moisture. Was hoping for better quality.

I used to like all of Vernz products as we always buy their regular cakes (chocolate moist, mango trio etc.) and we love them.

I gave her heads up more than 3 weeks - her communication was very unprofessional. Vernz never got back to me on time - it will take days before she will reply back. Until it came to a point where I asked if she can actually do the cake or not so I can find an alternative.

I gave Vernz a photo of the cake I wanted to look like as she asked me to do so. However, the cake Vernz made was no way near that example... I could have just bought a cake at Costco!

It was extremely disappointing and I felt cheated by her product and service.

This is not trial and error - that they can offer to return the money if you're not satisfied. You don't "give it a try" with your customer's cake especially if it's for a very special occassion. Indeed an unfortunate experience with SWEET CAKES BY VERNZ!

I don't think they are ready for the customized design cakes for special occassions -

Unfortunately the quality has declined over the years. I use to love their cakes but I purchased one recently and it just doesn’t taste the same as before. It’s not moist. And the yema/ube doughnut had the littlest filling in it. The filling was just outside for decor and nothing inside. It was just giving the illusion that it has filling. When I purchase the doughnuts at 10 am, it was really hard. Felt like it was a batch the day before that they could not sell. It was hard as a rock. It was not fresh at all.

Lovely place to buy cakes, cookies, cupcakes and more. This is my second stunning cake from here and it was the perfect amount of sweetness from the most beautiful icing flowers. The three layers of different flavoured cakes were delish. I had flower cookies last year that were the best I've ever tasted so was excited to buy more. The 1 less star is because of the cookies which were a disappointment this time. Pretty, but too hard to eat.

We have been getting our cakes from here for a while. It’s nut free which helps for family with not allergies. And they make gluten free cupcakes when you order in advance, which taste great! They are as moist as a regular cupcake, they are not crumbly or dry. We recently got cakes and GF cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday, they did the design exactly as my daughter wanted, and they tasted great! Good balance between the icing and cake so it’s not too sweet.

There is one dislike I have for this place, there is one lady who works there and her customer service to me is not very nice at all. I have visited twice and it happened both times with the same person. The other lady was so nice, very willing to help, I loved her customer service. The other one, I am not sure if she is the boss somehow but her attitude is not nice. It feels like you are wasting her time, she doesn't want to be bothered, even when I was talking to the nicer one, she would interrupt and takeover like I am wasting their time I must just read what the prices are. I told her they are a bit confusing for me and she kept saying, they are very clear, its easy to understand. I like their cakes but I think twice before I go there because of the customer service from one of the ladies there. The first time it happened, I ignored it and didn't bother writing a review. But now it happened again, I thought let me write something. My heart sank when I got in the second time and saw her there again. I think there is need for improvement on your customer service. Treat customers with respect, and patience. What you think is clear labels might not be clear to everyone, explain with politeness not rude or anger.

I ordered a standard daily cake with a message on top for my fiancé’s birthday 24 hours before and it was a delicious cake - it was a hit! Ordering, payment, and pickup was extremely smooth. Will definitely be ordering here for future events. Always happy to find an excellent local spot. Can’t wait to come back!

All my wife wanted for her birthday was a lemon cheesecake. I called the Cupcake Lounge and inquired if they were able to accommodate. They quickly took my order, on Friday afternoon for a Sunday pickup. This cheesecake was hands down the very BEST cheesecake we have ever had. The lemon curd on top was next level, the cheesecake was fluffy and just the right sweetness and the crust - I don’t even have words to describe how incredibly delicious it was. The presentation was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for making my wife’s birthday complete with this perfect dessert.

I ordered a dozen cookies for a work event and we were beyond impressed! Everyone was so pleased with how delicious they were, and the art on them was incredible. We will all absolutely be back in future for more!

First of all, the cupcakes are a lot smaller than I expected for $5 each, but oh well. As others here have said, they were rather dry, which was surprising given that I picked them up in the morning. They kind of crumbled when my mom (who was celebrating her 90th birthday) tried to eat them with a fork. I got a 4 pack, which comes in this box that basically makes it impossible to get the cupcakes out without either destroying them or getting icing all over your fingers. Anyways, seems like a nice place and friendly people, but I don't think I'll go back.

The Cupcake Lounge made our wedding cake and we were so impressed with it! Our initial consultation with Laura was great, she allowed us to try many different cakes and explained all of the options to us. She is so friendly and easy to work with. Anytime I emailed her she was fast to respond & had no problem making a few changes. She also coordinated the fresh flowers that are on top of the cake (initial topper purchased elsewhere). There was also a delivery option for a very reasonable price. The cake was not only beautiful, but delicious. I highly recommend getting your wedding cake from here.

I came here to get a coffee and check out the place but was surprised to see gluten free options available, so I had to give them a shot, and they were pretty solid!

Although it wasn’t among the best coffees I’ve had, the atmosphere and service are next level.

The Cookies and Cream snack cake at Grand Order of Divine Sweets is a treat that lives up to its name! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this dessert shop, and I was quite impressed by their chocolate creations and overall atmosphere. During my visit, I tried their Apple Crumble Snack Cake, which was the featured flavor of the month. It was the perfect size for sharing with a small group, and easily portable. However, I found it a bit too sweet to eat on its own, but it complimented a cup of unsweetened tea nicely. The shop also offers other Snack Cake flavors like Cookies & Cream, Red Velvet, and Caramel Sea Salt throughout the year.

I also ordered a cup of hot chocolate, which was made with real chocolate, and perfect for the chilly day. I also noticed they carry Sloane tea, which earned the shop some brownie points in my book.

The staff was friendly, and the shop's décor is cozy, with a few tables up front where you can sit and enjoy your treats.

I can’t say enough good things about this bakery! The treats are always fresh and delicious, but what really makes the experience special is the staff. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, and genuinely helpful. They go out of their way to answer questions and make recommendations, and you can tell they really know their stuff. A special shout-out to the sweet girl with the glasses—she was so knowledgeable, patient, and made me feel completely taken care of. It’s rare to find service that makes you smile as much as the food does, but this bakery has it all! I will be back for a future cake!

Edit: I was by in the late afternoon this past Thursday, but I had walked past the window display with my husband this evening and all I can say is WOW!

I’ve ordered multiple cakes from here and were blown away each time. The detail and the beauty of their cakes are unbelievable. They’re also delicious, where most decorated cakes tend to be more dry and stiff. These were not at all. We will continue to order from these amazing ladies and their team.

Ordered multiple mini cupcakes for an event and they were all delicious! It was smooth to shop on their website and I was surprised that some mini cupcakes had a flavored filling inside (vanilla dulce, lemon lemon, and apple caramel cheesecake). Would definitely recommend!

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 😛😂)

I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet.

You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled.

This place always has a warm, homey vibe to me whenever I visit. The staff are also warm and friendly.

They have a wide selection of pies to choose from, as well as other pastries and even savoury food.

I had a slice of the Wild Blueberry pie with a mocha. The pie was tasty. I like the texture of the dough. The blueberry filling is a bit tart, but not overwhelming. My only negative is it is a pretty expensive slice, and the portion is not the biggest.

The mocha was also nice, and I liked the depth of the espresso flavour along with the chocolate.

Cool place to grab a pie and a coffee in Kensington market. Staff are friendly and professional. It can be a bit hectic in the weekends, but the vibes are great.
Come here for a good bite and cup of Joe.

Star of the show was the key lime pie. Just delicious! Really fun and eclectic vibe, suits the Kensington area well. Fun to eat pie while people watching out on the patio. There’s a piano inside where a patron was playing a silly little tune. I love places like this.

It is a very well decorated cozy space with a lot of options. Got a pecan pie which was great, not too sweet and it tasted freshly made. Also got the samosa croissant and pizza croissant. Both were good.

Heard Wanda's was a great place for pie and wanted to bring something more unique to a friend's place for dinner. We picked up a 9 inch apple crumble. Totally goofed and forgot to take a picture of it but everyone really liked it!

Definitely a bit more on the pricier side at around $35ish, but supporting local businesses is always worth it. Was big enough to share across 10 people. The only thing that I found kind of strange was there was no straight up apple pie when we went.

Also has a cute patio to enjoy as well!

We got to try a dozen of their fruit tarts and they were very enjoyable. The tarts themselves were crispy and were covered with a dark chocolate layer. The fruits were sweetened on the outside as well. It was a nice mixture of textures between the soft custard, crispy tart, and fruit.

In terms of proportions of the tart, I would have preferred a thinner crust (and more custard in the tart) and it was sometimes hard to appreciate the custard due to the chocolate overpowering it.

I look forward to trying out some of their other baked goods in the future!

Me and my husband got this cake for my cousin’s welcome. There was a hair in this cake.

The girls did not smile once while serving us. It was very unwelcoming environment.

I've been buying sandwiches here occasionally for the past few months, normally they are fantastic, but what i bought today shocked me. I had already eaten 3/4 sandwiches before realizing there was MOLD growing on the cheese and ham in small amounts. absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. will not be returning.

We have been ordering birthday cakes from them for awhile now, and never had any issues - always order for pick up at 10, on a Saturday, and the cakes are always delicious.

Last week, however, when I went to pick up a birthday cake for my son, the cake was still not ready at 10:45 (same for the gentleman in front of me), while I saw a lot of cakes in the fridge for 10 AM pick up. It was finally ready at 11 (no explanations offered on why it was late), and while it looked okay at first, there are signs of “being rushed” upon close inspection. The bottom had couple places that were “caved” in, cake crumbled as soon as I cut into it, the cake/sponge itself was extremely dry, and the cake just did not taste very good.

We will continue to be a customer, but I hope this won’t happen to us again.

We got a cake from here for a birthday party. It was really tasty. The 6" cake was more than enough for our party of 8 people. I think you can get it for up to 10 people. The interior was nice. The staff could have made extra effort to help us choose the cake. They just waited for us to make a decision without explaining what's available or offering help.

Bobbette & Belle made the most incredible lemon cake for our vow renewal—it was an absolute showstopper. Elegant, beautifully crafted, and hands down the best-tasting cake we've ever had. Our guests are still talking about it!

The artistry, attention to detail, and flawless execution made it such a highlight of our celebration. We’re so thankful we chose Bobbette & Belle for such a special occasion. Highly, highly recommend!

DON’T buy cakes from here unless you want to get disappointed.

The cake was ordered well in advance and it still arrived extremely dry and inedible. The frosting was just okay and we had ordered the mango and passion fruit flavor but there was absolutely no taste of mango or passion fruit at all. After trying the cake I was so disappointed that I went to check the reviews and saw so many people have already complained about the same issue with dry cakes. Yet they continue to serve this stale product without realizing they are ruining someone’s special day. It honestly feels like a scam to charge seventy dollars for such a cake. Grocery stores sell better cakes for half the price.

Placed an order ahead of time for floral-themed buttercream and vanilla cupcakes for an event. We received prompt confirmation of the order and communication was easy. Our order was ready at the agreed upon time and pickup went smoothly. The cupcakes were absolutely beautiful and travelled well - we received lots of compliments on their appearance. That said, the flavour and texture left much to be desired… the cupcake base was incredibly dry and tasted stale (despite us eating them within 2 hours of the pickup time). The buttercream was also very firm and lacked any sweetness, reminding us of refrigerated butter in both flavour and texture. Not sure if this was just an “off batch”, but it was quite disappointing.

What a beautiful patisserie. The brownie was excellent. Moist and not overly sweet. We absolutely loved their sticky toffee pudding. Best we've ever had!

Can I give them an extra star?!! I honestly haven’t found a single thing on the menu I don’t love. The cakes are moist and flavorful, the brownies are rich and fudgy, and the pies are absolutely delicious. Everything tastes homemade and just sweet enough—not overly sugary like some places. You can tell they care about quality. Easily one of my favorite bakeries!

I visited Bobbette & Belle and was thoroughly impressed by their selection of beautifully crafted pastries. I tried the Banana Walnut Muffin, which was moist, perfectly balanced in sweetness, and had a delightful crunch from the walnuts, kick of saltiness in the end-
definitely a 9/10.

The real standout, however, was the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake—a 10/10 masterpiece. The rich, velvety chocolate paired with the nutty depth of hazelnut created an indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Every bite was decadent without being overwhelming.

The atmosphere was charming, and the quality of their baked goods speaks for itself. I’ll definitely be back to try more!

We pre-ordered cupcakes for Easter and brought them to our family gathering. They were all a big hit!

The carrot cake is perfect! We have been ordering the everyday cakes for all of our special occasions.
We used a cake topper and the look and taste was fantastic.

It was more than awful 😢. We ordered two pieces of cake and couldn’t finish them, with every bite the feeling was worse. The desserts were baked at least several days ago, stale, tasteless, margarine and sugar. It felt like you are chewing nothing but something very sugary. I asked before ordering if they use butter and cream. The answer was YES.
Unfortunately, it was a mistake to visit this place, rip off. Why is the rating 4+???

DONT EAT HERE , rude staff, disgusting pastries, I ordered a dozen of sweets from them, they had hair inside the sweets and it was definitely old and sitting for over a week. When we asked if it was fresh we were assured it was baked today. Stay away I wouldn’t recommend.

One of the bests confectionaries in the town! The sweets and desserts has great qualities, and store has friendly staff! I usually come to this store at weekend to buy for my guests and normally order Kunafa sandwiches to go and baklava. I also recommend rolls and cheesecakes! First time, I wasn’t sure what to order but employees were kind enough to offer me sample tastes and that made my decision a lot easier. Now, this is a place that I often visit when I am in downtown area and not regret each time I order!

Stopped in with my husband and son for a few baklava, eclair and macaroons. The new shop (on Hunt club) was nicely put together. The lady behind the counter was really personable and super helpful. The desserts were really delicious and perfectly priced and they looked so amazing, beautifully created. Only negative would be that I think they could use more sitting area and perhaps some coffee choices. Highly recommend. We'll be back again soon. :)

The place is great, staff is very friendly. I've had their cakes before and they're delicious.

However I had a bad experience, it was due to an understandable and unforeseeable mistake but still I think I should make it known.

I bought two cakes this morning, they got both put in boxes and then in a paper bag. While carrying the cakes back, less than one block from the store, one of the handles of the bag snapped loose and the boxes fell on the floor. I had to go back to pick up another bag, and when I came home one of the cakes was squished on one side, which is very unfortunate. Again, I don't think anyone could foresee this but maybe they should check with their paper bag supplier, or do a quick check of the stability of the handles when they get the paper bags in bulk or something.

Picked up a Chocolate truffle cake for my uncle yesterday. Damn! everyone invited to the party loved it.
Those two ladies working on the store were incredibly friendly and helpful 💜

I bought the Small 6" Swiss Milk Chocolate Cake via Doordash for a friend birthday. He said it is a normal chocolate with crunchy texture in it. It also has chocolate taste cream in the middle, but it's not oily because it has some sponges and cream is between them.

We visited Sweet Castle and tried two flavors of their pastries. Both were absolutely delicious — rich in flavor and freshly made. The quality was impressive, but the prices were on the higher side. Still, if you’re in the mood to indulge, it’s definitely worth a try!

Great selection of Arabic desserts and cakes. You can taste the quality ingredients and the wonderful mix of flavours and textures. Definitely one of the best sweet shops in Ottawa.

I used to really enjoy their cakes and even recommended them to many people, but unfortunately, I was disappointed this time. The fruit (forest) cake I bought was not good. The sponge was very dry, and the cream and fruits inside were still frozen and hadn’t thawed properly. I also don’t understand why the cake was frozen :(

The pastries stay fresh and delightful each time. Staff makes everyone feel welcome and keeps the space spotless. Mediterranean treats, especially baklava, taste perfect. French pastries bring a touch of elegance. Truly the finest bakery spot in Ottawa.

Crave Cupcakes never disappoints! They always have a fantastic selection, and one of my all‑time favorites is the red velvet cupcake—it’s absolutely delicious. I also love trying their seasonal limited‑edition flavors; they’re always creative and delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and service is always efficient, even when they’re busy. Definitely one of my go‑to spots for a sweet treat! Can't wait to go back :)

We have always loved crave cupcakes🧁
But recently, we tried their red velvet cakes twice for family birthdays, and they were amazing. Though the icing is a bit too much for me but the rest of the cake is soft, flavorful, and decadent. Will be ordering more in the future.

Go somewhere else for a cake!!

I ordered a cake (key lime, the smallest one for $90+), i wanted it for mid June but their last order day was May 30th.
They game me the instructions on how to freeze it. Followed them exactly how they told me to.

Unfortunately it didnt taste good. There was way too much frosting and what thew me off was that I ordered this cake thinking that it would be quite similar to the cupcake version. Which had a layer at the bottom of graham crackers.
Well to my surprise this cake didnt. IT BARELY HAD CRUMBS ON THE TOP.
Super disappointed that i paid top price for something that was just like a regular cake. One would assume that because your cupcake version had a layer of graham crackers that your cake would too.

I would suggest that if you purchase a cake. Make sure you speak to a baker to make sure what is included and whats ISNT.

Crave cupcakes are delicious and deservedly popular. It's too bad the experience of eating them is marred by the lack of hygienic standards in all of their locations. Part of it probably just has to do with the design of cupcakes, but touching other people's food with your bare, unwashed hands is unacceptable. Employees should at least be wearing gloves or using tongs when handling something that's going to go into the mouth of another person.

It goes like this:

- Random person goes poo at home, and doesn't wash their hands properly
- Random person with poo germs on their fingers has a hankering for a cupcake, and goes to Crave
- Random person with poo germs on their fingers grabs the debit terminal to pay for their cupcake
- Crave employee also handles the debit terminal, getting random person's poo germs on THEIR fingers
- Crave employee then handles YOUR cupcake, as the next person in line, transferring random person's poo germs onto it
- You go to enjoy your cupcake, getting a bonus side of random person's poo germs

I don't know about you, but I don't like eating poo.

Please, have a designated person accepting payment, and a designated person using tongs or wearing gloves for handling peoples' food. Quickly rinsing your bare fingers every now and then between serving cupcakes and handling things with poo germs on them doesn't cut it.

Ordered a cake for my friends 30th birthday and was very disappointed with the cake quality. The icing was okay but the cake itself had no flavour to it. For the price and reputation of the company I was very let down.
