I found out about WedSafe from an article published by Brides. I knew I wanted to get wedding insurance the day after receiving a proposal. I called and received six quotes from six companies mentioned in the article. I did not receive the most competitive quote from WedSafe, but I did like that the policy offers job loss insurance with the economy being up and down right now. My experience started very positive. The woman I spoke with over the phone answered all my questions and was very friendly over the phone.

Applying for the policy is self-service. The website needs an update because I attempted to complete the policy on my phone but was directed to do it from a different browser when I ran into trouble submitting.

I should have put the year 2024 instead of 2023. I emailed the company immediately and asked if they could update the date, and I followed up with a call. The person responding to my email said it would be 15 business days. I understand that underwriting takes time, but I will always hold a company accountable for what they say, especially if they provide me with something in writing. I called earlier this week, eager to know if the policy was updated. The woman I spoke with over the phone said 2/23/2024 would be the 15th business day, and it's 2/24/2023, and I am still waiting to receive an update. She said she could not guarantee when the policy would be updated; however, that should have been communicated before they missed a deadline, not after. I need to be covered if anything were to happen, and the company is aware.

Either process the date change or give me my money back so that I can work with another company. The company is amiable when they feel like you have the potential to become a new customer, but once you become a customer, the customer service goes downhill. Do not book with this company WedSafe. Could you hurry up and process my claim?

DO NOT use this company. They are a complete scam. Not only will they send private investigators after you when you’re trying to make a simple claim, but they’ll just deny you so they don’t have to pay out your policy. Their staff is unprofessional and have zero knowledge about their jobs. If you like throwing money away, this is the place to do it. If I could give zero stars I would.

Extremely late in responding. If you need a policy for events, weddings etc, go elsewhere. Horrible! ATTN underwriter Paula, please respond accordingly to requests for quotes and advise if you get information on what the company can offer by at least contacting the insured with coverage details (if received). I shouldn’t be waiting half a month and following up with you on requests. Had to call you in order to find out that you declined the risk. At least have the courtesy to give notice. Fortunately I work in insurance to rush policies. Just wanted to give other carriers a chance. But clearly I’m mistaken with this branch. Next time, kindly pass the request over to another underwriter if the amount of requests this time around is large especially for event policies. It would be appreciated.

Awful insurance company. They do not care about customer service at all and do not care to help you. The lady Paula does not call back and just sends automated emails from the PAL website. They claim to help me and make an exception just to tell me that finally they can't when needing to cancel an exhibitor liability plan. So useless!

All the ladies at this office are extremely friendly and very helpful !

Brutal company. They’re happy to take your money but if you need to make a claim they’ll drop you. I wasn’t able to get a response via phone or email about my renewal options. You can tell by their responses to other reviews how they conduct themselves. I know there’s not many options for photo or video insurance but if you have an alternative provider, I would take it.

For anyone reading this, I still have never heard from Front Row despite their promise in the response to my comment.

Had a good experience with Front row. They had an online product that was perfect for me, but I needed more information on it first. The guy explained it all to me and knew the industry really well. We had a good chat.

I second the other opinions here. The company is completely unreachable over the phone, you have to write emails or wait for callbacks. They seem to rely on the website for everything and an automated system. If you ever had a claim, i would NOT trust them handling it competent nor fast. On top of everything, they are expensive compared to competitors. Biggest issue is unresponsiveness, which will be very stressful when needed most. Go elsewhere...

I like your templated response of real reviews, but the fact remains that anyone calling you, can't reach you. Maybe as a broker, you listen to the real reviews here and hire a REAL receptionist to take peoples calls. "Working" from home, implies that you actually do something other than watch TV and walk your dog.

I found out about Lucky Insurance through a referral. I am happy to say they exceeded my expectations. I dealt with Ayub Mohammad who was efficient and gave me an excellent rate for my first car. Highly recommend :)

I was shopping around quote for my auto and home insurance and saw their profile. Decided to check them by filling their online form. Their agent contacted me in an hour and took time to prepare my quote patiently. Although it took 2 days to gather information, but lucky insurance broker finally quoted less rate. I am very happy for saving in my insurance cost.

I wanted to change my address in the policy but these guys have no phone number in service. No response for the email also. Since I live far, I cant go to their office in person. I already changed my address but couldnt change the address in the policy. I am well aware about the situation that the company can decline any claim request now because of the mismatch in Driving license and policy information. So I decided to cancel my policy through this irresponsibl team. But the funny thing is, only they can cancel the service. Now I dont know what to do.

Super slow and poor service. Replies very late and have very poor team coordination .made a bad move to choose them .
They were good during initial time though. But I think they are good initially only .Once you become old customer , they are not bothered or interested to work .

I have been a client of Trigon for many years. They have provided me with a level of service that I have not experienced with any other insurance brokers. I would highly recommend them.

Was involved in an accident on Sunday...hit by another driver...she got service from her insurance...Intact in 10 mins...while I stayed on hold for 30 minutes without getting anyone...tried calling again 3 times....so make sure to have your accident during their business hours otherwise you are screwed!! Not impressed!

I have never had an insurance broker who was so thorough and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with Trigon, and particularly "Penny".

Worst customer service ever experienced. I don’t recommend their service at all. Avoid it and avoid it again if you can.

I dealt with Stephanie on a policy for a non-typical recreational type vehicle for road use. My own insurer would not help me even though they could have with a little effort. They were not willing to make that effort.
On the other hand Stephanie went to great lengths to make sure my vehicle got coverage. This took a lot of effort on her part for no great reward but the satisfaction of a job well done. Rarely do you find a ‘customer centric’ business anymore but it still exists within this company. Lots of calls and inquiries on her part were necessary to make this happen. For me this was true ‘customer service. I am very impressed with the service I received and would recommend to anyone who wants great service with “quick results”, I am very very pleased with their way of doing business the “old fashioned way”. Could not say enough about the whole experience.

I changed companies a few years ago and Action Group Insurance literally saved me over a $1,000 on my policies. They are always helpful and polite. A great bunch of people there, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Small town is where it is at!

I am very disappointed with how my account was handled at renewal. I was with Aviva and understand they no longer were dealing with this company the explanation i got IN email And the letter I got did not reflect eachother. I emailed my broker (Larry ) a couple times and he did not even respond. He did not give me sufficient notice with information with my account. Which left me scrambling! in March i noticed a few days went by my insurance payment never came out i emailed him and he assured me everything was fine and I was paid up until April 24th. Which was my renewal date. He then said he would get me a quote. So he did then promptly told me he couldnt insure me because of an accident and 1 ticket. His explanation made no sense and when i went to another broker they insured me no problem with the same company. I feel scammed by this guy and he didnt even have the decentcy to contact me or email me back. I would definitely NOT Recommend this brokerage! very disappointed!

As a regular consumer I pride myself on getting multiple quotes action was by far the best price and the most helpful. They were very accommodating to my wife and I and they definitely hold the title for customer service in Strathmore I highly recommend them.

At first they did give us a great deal. But now that a different person has taken over our account we are not getting the same type of service. After this term is up I’ll be going with another company

Nazgol Fallah Toussi was the most unprofessional notary I have ever encountered. She made our experience as sellers exceedingly difficult by refusing to adhere to the fundamental principles of a notary's responsibilities. When confronted about even the most minor issues, she threatened to cancel the appointment and halt progress. She never returned calls, failed to follow straightforward instructions, and exhibited highly unethical behavior. She imposed additional fees for responding to emails or inquiries. She exaggerated her situation by claiming she was being 'harassed' after I made one personal call and sent four emails, while stating she was addressing 'thousands of emails.' I am extremely dissatisfied and cannot recommend this notary under any circumstances. It is truly unfortunate, and one star is far too generous.

Unbelievably RUDE from the moment I walked in. I’ve been in business for over 30 years and have never dealt with such an unprofessional notary. Dismissive, impatient, and clearly more focused on money than service. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

We had a wonderful experience working with Nazgol Toussi for the first time. For our second notary job, we reached out to her again. Her communication was excellent, and everything went smoothly. We will definitely be contacting her for all of our future notary needs.

I just got intact insurance for my new vehicle. I couldn't be happier with the service that I received. Shishir Roy helped me get set up with intact for a great price compared to my previous insurers. I was very impressed with his customer service skills. He explained everything to me and made all of my options very clear. I highly recommend getting insured by Intact insurance and I hope you are lucky enough to be helped by Shishir himself.

I was only insured for 12 days before cancelling due to selling my car, and I’m still being charged $750 in cancellation penalties. This amount is completely disproportionate to the time I was covered, and I have yet to receive any written breakdown of how it was calculated.

I was not made aware of such a high penalty at the time of signing, and now I’m being told it’s due to a “mid-term cancellation” despite the policy being just days old. This feels more like a cash grab than a fair policy.

Don't deal with intact. They do not follow up on a claim and make up the rules as they go along. I finally got rid of them.

I wish Bernhardt insurance hadn't been acquired by Pioneer and KRG insurance. My family were friends with the Bernhards. Archie Bernhardt roomed with my grand parents. KRG and Intact do not give a damn. Why I left Intact and KRG insurance? I left because of ongoing internal process issues and frequent unnecessary phone calls. Here are some examples.
Failure #1 My car accident, in 2018, I was slammed into a wall on the 401 when a transport truck hauling steel coils moved over into my lane. I bounced out off the wall and rear ended another car. I was charged along with the truck driver in the incident. I went the court, and the charges were dropped, and I was told it was not my fault. Intact still said it was my fault and counted it as an at fault accident. I showed Intact the court documents and they still would not budge.
Failure #2 My father passed away in 2019. His will left everything to my mother, myself, and the assets were jointly held between my mother and myself. Our Lawyer told us that since the assets were jointly held, it was not necessary to go to probate. What did Intact and KRG do. They told us that we must go to probate court. We sent the copies of the wills and assets documentation. They still would not budge. New insurance company had no trouble accepting this documentation.
Failure #3: August 30th, 2020. We had a tornado and hailstorm, My JEEP was damaged by the hail, and I immediately reported it. I was told then to use the app, which I did. I was told to wait for a call on where to take the JEEP. 3 weeks later I received a notice my claim was being cancelled. The Millennial or GENZ customer rep failed to contact me on where to take the car and told me that I canceled the claim which I did not. I escalated it which I should not have to and jumped through hoops w to re-instate the claim. They told my auto body shop that they were panicking and trying to get me in as fast as possible. After many weeks, it was finally fixed.
Failure # 4: Early 2025
I have multiple residences, Intact refused to insure my vehicles at the residents due to their location and told me my driver licenser needed to match each residence even if I was only there a few days. The agent even went as far as to communicate with the Waterloo Regional Police to say that my drivers license did not match my vehicles location. Fortunately, my OPP neighbour said there was no such requirement. The Intact broker, said I needed to do this, or they would not renew my insurance.
Failure #5
I was told that I could not go to another insurance company because of my accident get no fault, accident forgiveness, etc. I went to another insurance company got more benefits for thousands of less for my home and auto. Oh, guess what they accepted my court documents and wills. I FIRED INTACT and DRG on the spot. How dare you treat a loyal customer like this.

Finally, when I cancelled insurance from Intact I got letters saying my insurance was past due. I had to tell multiple people that I have in fact canceled my insurance. Good ridance fix your incompetent organization,

Baltaj Kooner,  dishonest demands and misrepresentation during the claims process for my vehicle, a Toyota Solara, . I believe these actions may constitute unfair practices under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002, and potentially breach the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act, 2002.
Description of the Issue
During the claims process, I was not informed of the requirement to provide a new safety certificate or a new ownership document from Service Ontario designating the vehicle as “Rebuilt.” The necessity of these documents and the vehicle’s rebuilt status were not disclosed to me at any point, despite my clear expectation of transparency. This lack of disclosure has caused significant inconvenience, financial burden, and potential misrepresentation of the vehicle’s status, which I believe violates consumer protection laws.
Impact
As a result of this misrepresentation and undisclosed requirements, I have incurred  additional costs for obtaining documents, delays in resolving the claim, or emotional distress. I am disappointed by the lack of clarity and honesty, which has undermined my trust in Intact insurance.

Submitted application to stop payment which was then taken anyways. Called to reverse payment

Had insurance with these guys back in 2016, was involved in a multiple car collision to which the officer said was not my fault. Didn't hear much from the insurance company after and didn't drive for years. Fast forward to today I buy a new vehicle and find out these guys said the collision was MY fault and instantly my rates have sky rocketed.

Horrible company to be avoided at all costs
The review is motivated by personal experience which I will describe. I took my car for body repairs to a shop recommended to me by AVIVA. The repairs took 5 days and I was satisfied with their quality. Upon picking up the car I realized that my panoramic sunroof does not close at all. I immediately informed CARSTAR (the body shop) and brought the car back to them the following Monday. They managed to close the sunroof but broke tracking mechanism resulting in horrible rattle (this type of sunroof is known to shatter as it is made of tempered glass). I informed AVIVA of the damage and they conducted their 'investigation'. It can be proven that when I left the car the sunroof closed without a problem but within 1 hr of my picking up the car I could not close it from open position, Obvious deduction: either something happened to the sunroof on the way home (1 hr drive) or something happened during the 5 days the body shop had the car (and had to tape the sunroof for paint job, in spite of their earlier statements they 'did not touch it'). I know which scenario seems more likely to me.
AVIVA concluded that because the body shop officially did not work on the sunroof THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE. So basically they took the side of the body shop based on the official itemized invoice. According to that logic, if I picked up the car with broken windshield, it couldn't have been broken in the shop because the shop did not list windshield as one of the items under repair. Absurd.
All those events took place almost 6 weeks ago. As the result of their 'investigation' AVIVA advised me that I have an option of filing.....a new claim against the body shop for....'vandalism'. As much as I do not have best opinion of CARSTAR I do not believe for a second that their personnel engage in wanton, malicious destruction of property but because AVIVA did not have the will to defend my interests against the body shop they pushed me towards filing what I consider to be borderline false claim against CARSTAR. Nice.
Some 4 weeks ago I provided AVIVA with the diagnosis from licensed mechanic and the cost estimate of repairs from the dealership. About 2 weeks ago when I filed the claim for 'vandalism', I was told that the estimates I submitted should be sufficient for appraiser. In two weeks I had no pro-active feedback until after many calls and emails (they don't pick up the phones at AVIVA) they told me that actually the appraiser has to see the car 'in person'. Two more weeks gone with me driving with loose rattling glass sunroof. This is where things stand now, I still do not know when this mythological 'appraiser' will see the car.
To summarize, it has been almost 6 weeks (July 23rd) since the body shop broke my sunroof, AVIVA denied it against all common sense evidence and left me with no option but to file iffy claim for 'vandalism' which they have been dragging their feet in processing. Through the whole process multiple 'contacts' have been provided, none of which respond promptly to emails, never mind the calls (of dozens of calls to extension numbers provided I cannot recall one instance of someone picking up). I hope that the sunroof will be repaired by winter but I would not be surprised if AVIVA denies the existence of winter season in Canada.

Made my first claim in quite a few years,the agent I talked to was pleasant and helpful..so i wait now for my truck to be fixed and see how the rest of this goes

Most folks don't have or like insurance. Let tell you...get covered. Life Home Car. You very well maybe surprised that with a claim free timespan, and blackout damages may be covered. Call/Email check them out. Hi Michelle in BC👋🏽

Never see that terrible broker!
They made a mistake which made me overlap with my previous policy. They admit their mistake, but reject making up, and tell me that kind of mistakes happen every year, and they never indemnify their fault. So I escalated to their HQ manager. However, she cheated on me to sign the cancellation form. So I did. However, few days later, she denied her words!

I recently worked with ClearCut InsureLine Brokers for my business insurance needs, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their knowledge and service. Jimmy Du, the person who was in charge of dealing with my liability insurance application doesn’t reply to your emails or phone messages even though they know it was urgent. And whenever I call the person, he’s either not in office or it goes to his voicemail….he’s constantly ‘stepped away from his desk or on another call’ and permanently unavailable. Poor service.

SCAM!
I was told by Paolo I was insured, I drove over the States thinking that I had my insurance active after signing the application. I went to Service Ontario on Friday (after a week I’ve signed my application) they typed all my information into the system and guess what?I didn’t have any active car insurance.

I was lucky I wasn’t stop by the police or involved in any accident.
I finally got a reply from Paolo after a week I’ve been trying to reach him out, and now that I’m asking him to kindly cancel my application, he sent to my email a temporary slip!

I DO NOT recommend these people at all, full of bs

Terrible service I tried to update my info for my renewal the agent didn’t replay for 4 months and when I call the office they response was very rude.

I worked with Rai broker Paolo who turned out to be the worst insurance broker imaginable. Here are the issues:

As a broker:
1) he doesn't bother find out the clients personal situation and preferences
2) he never ever picks up his phone

4) emails are typically answered within 2-4 days.
5) He doesn't seem to understand the difference between the insurance companies he works with. To him Aviva, a global insurance company with exceptional service, is equivalent to the Saskatchewan General Insurance (SGI) which was unable to even supply the insurance agreement a week into the contract because they misquoted the original quote and hence voided the already signed contract.

I know there is a lot of bad insurance companies, but it's the job of the broker to understand and explain that. To Paolo it's completely incomprehensible that is is his job.

Broker Gian does not respond and when you text or email him he lets you know that he doesn’t work for you and doesn’t need to reply till he wants to. It’s been 3 days and he tells me to go contact another brokerage. Unreal customer service by him. Wouldn’t recommend Gian as your agent.

Disorganized, and extremely unorganized. First, they send my temporary pink card the last minute before I pick up my car. Second, Chole is the one I was talking to, but I can only reach her once after 5 phone calls, and the other Brooker I talked to today at 2pm, Oct 23 cannot do anything about me not receiving offical pink card and she was trying to be rude her way out. I have to call again to talk to Chloe another day when I will be at work. Horrible!!

Zero customer service, extremely rude and unprofessional. Everyone has bad days but you should never use your customer as pushing bag. If you don’t have the patience and mindset to deal with people then find something else to do!

They were good once but I have faced nothing but trouble from their agents and the Broker on record. They have forgotten to follow my instructions and respond in timely manner. i intent to switch brokers as soon as i find an alternative.

Horrible roadside assistance and customer service. Twice now they rejected my tow because the customer service rep's interpretation of their rule is as such. They understand their policies as one thing and would twist the words and deny you tow at all costs. First time they offered to tow me to a body shop for a mechanical breakdown because that is the closest repair shop. Horrible service every time. No manager to report their services and no followup calls.

Worst possible company to use through TD auto club. They leave you stranded on highways because they say unsafe for tow truck drivers. Also would not change a flat tire in my driveway because inch of snow. Said it had to be towed to nearest station which they chose as 30 minutes away when there are several closer. Closer tow truck eventually came out and wondered why the heck it needed to be towed instead changing tire. Stay away from this company.

Terrible company. Their employees struggle to speak English so communication is difficult. They take a very long time to reply to emails and half the service employees don’t even know what they’re doing.

This is the actual worst travel insurance that I have ever used. Almost 6 months later I'm still waiting for reimbursement and they "decided" to only reimburse me half of the cost of the medical assistance. Save your coins and spare yourself from a lot of stress and get another insurance.
