I have to say that I am really disappointed with the lack of customer service I have received from the person working there. I walked in and there was an employee on the phone with a customer, however, he saw us ( we were 3) come in , and never acknowledged our presence, not by raising his hand, or smile. I waited about 5-7 minutes to see if any kind of acknowledgement would come from the guy... nope! Nothing at all. Wow! And to say that other members of my family have dealt with them for years and they recommended them. Hell naw! So we left the travel agency after about 7 minutes without any sign. Not spending my money here.

My family has dealt with this agency for several years and have only great things to say about them. They are friendly and give the best customer service. Continue your great services.

I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Kate Wadsworth, an insurance broker at the Strathmore branch. She’s been incredibly kind and has been doing everything she can to make sure I get the best quote I can through the carriers that Western Financial works with! She’s been an absolute lifesaver, and the small interactions I’ve had with other employees at this branch have been nothing short of a pleasure. Everybody is incredibly polite and patient, and I think it’s safe to say that I’ll be coming to WFG for all my insurance needs in the future! Especially with Kate specifically, she’s been such a blessing during my very stressful insurance search.

This has been one of the most stressful and damaging experiences I’ve ever had with an insurance broker. When I went to Western Financial Group, I specifically requested full coverage including Section C (collision and comprehensive) for my financed truck — a non-negotiable requirement from my lender, which I made clear from the start. I even provided a bill of sale with my application that clearly showed CIBC as the lienholder, so they knew full coverage was mandatory.

The broker never disclosed that my driving record — which they had access to — meant they couldn’t offer that full coverage. Any professional broker would have said, “You have more convictions, so we’re not able to offer you full coverage. Would you like to proceed with just liability for $500 a month?” Instead, they went ahead and bound the policy anyway, without my informed consent.

By doing so, they failed to meet their obligations under Alberta’s Insurance Act and the AIC’s Standards of Professional Conduct, including:
• Duty of Good Faith – providing complete and accurate information before binding coverage.
• Suitability Requirement – ensuring the product meets the client’s stated needs and requirements.

When I learned the truth after the policy was already bound, I had no choice but to cancel. Western Financial refuses to record the cancellation reason honestly, insisting on “insured’s request” instead of stating the real reason — that the policy never met my request or my lender’s requirements. This misrepresentation now taints my insurance record and may make it harder and more expensive to insure my vehicle in the future.

The result has been weeks of stress, sleepless nights, and countless hours wasted trying to fix a problem that never should have existed. This isn’t just about money — it’s about trust, professionalism, and accountability. Western Financial failed me on all three.

When I was in customer for 5 to 6 years.They decided to lie to me I wasn't able to make my payment on time and they said once it gets closer to the due date, They said yes The first time I called them about it and they told me. as long as you call before The do date So I did 4 days Before for the do then they told me that they Can't.They then on top of it. They charged my account multiple times causing me to get almost $200 and NFL fees and on top. I have to pay their nsf fees And this was all within 1 week.

Kate wadsworth was patient and helpful in ensuring we got the best insurance, and a great price. This kept the land owners happy, and allowed us to have a successful event! Will be using them again, despite being from a different city from me!

Very rarely do they get back to you. I have had to deal with them only a handful of times over the years I have been with them, but each time it's a month+ for things such as simple quotes, and I am the one who has to follow up and remind them I am waiting before they scramble and quickly throw something together which is poorly assembled and obvious that it was a last minute presentation, which leads me to wonder if they are indeed trying to find the best policy or simply offering the first one available.

Been with them for over 5 years, got car and house insurance with them. They are very hands on, make every process super easy and ALWAYS respond extremely quick. We live in the deep south but I still prefer to deal with them even if its far. That's how great their service is.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated with a touch of European flair. Comfortable beds, quality linens, and floor-to-ceiling windows create a relaxing atmosphere. Some furnishings feel slightly dated, but everything is well-maintained. The views of the city or waterfront are a definite plus. Osco! Restaurant serves a solid breakfast and a quality menu focused on French-inspired cuisine. The location is unbeatable, just steps from Old Montreal and the waterfront.

Overall a very nice hotel with a perfect location for tourists. The Metro connects underground, there are multiple food options without leaving the complex, and the common areas are beautiful. The room was clean and large, while somewhat outdated. Wished the shower was larger and that there were USB charging ports. The staff were fantastic! So friendly and helpful. Anthony at the bar (which was a highlight) was particularly wonderful - fun, kind, attentive, and we always looked forward to seeing him again. Excellent cocktails every time. This will be our go-to hotel in Montreal!

A great experience staying at the InterContinental, Montreal. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, the hotel is spick and span. The linen is fresh and the bathrooms sparkle. The coffee shop at the entrance is surprisingly reasonable on prices with bagels, croissants and wraps also being served. The hotel is conveniently connected to public transport with an exit leading right up to the underground metro rail. There is an abundance of budget friendly eateries in and around in the streets surrounding the area. Well deserving of 5 stars in every aspect.

Pros:
Location is great.
Bed was comfortable.
Excellent Byredo bath products.
Room service was okay. For a couple of nights, we didn’t get any wash cloth or hand towels, but they were able to bring those over quickly after we called.

Con’s:
The room we stayed in was extremely dark even after all the lights were turned on. The only place that was bright enough to read a book at was the bathroom.
The carpet smelled bad. I had to look for a small thing that fell on the floor and the smell of the carpet was disgusting.
View was awful. No upgrade offered for platinum members.
The team sent text messages upon checking in and kindly asked us to text them if we need any help. Ironically no one responded to my texts.

Location is great if you need to be in the city. An absurd about of homeless around this area. Not the hotels fault. If I didn't need to be in this area for a conference I wouldn't travel to this area. Hotel is great though. Great air conditioning in the hotel and the rooms. Service has been great. Great location to walk to a lot of the touristy areas.

I can’t say enough great things about Kyle and Brittany! Kyle went absolutely above and beyond to help me find the most competitive rate. I dropped the ball on timing and he still came through for me, working against the clock with incredible patience and professionalism. Thanks to his dedication (and Brittany’s support), what could have been a stressful situation turned into a seamless and positive experience. I’m so grateful for their effort and would highly recommend them to anyone!

I recently reached out to Jashanpreet who is on my dedicated Client Care Team to inquire about a new homeowner's insurance policy. Initially, the options were not looking to favorable but Jashanpreet was determined to get me great coverage with a reasonable rate. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Ken Martinsen, an agent at Sharp Insurance. Despite being a loyal customer for nearly 9 years without ever missing a payment, I was treated with a lack of respect and professionalism. I had to repeat my request multiple times, but Ken would not listen and spoke in an unprofessional and dismissive manner. His tone and behavior were condescending, bordering on rude.

To make matters worse, when I requested to speak with another representative, he refused, and the phone system continued to route all my calls directly back to him — leaving me no way to escalate the issue or receive proper service.

Due to this unacceptable experience, I canceled my insurance and will be filing a formal complaint with Intact Insurance. It is clear that this individual is not suited for any customer-facing role. No long-time customer should be treated this way.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience with this home insurance company. After signing a contract and agreeing to a set premium, I was shocked to find out that just two weeks later my rate was increased for what seems to be a not valid excuse.

I specifically worked with insurance broker Navdeep Sidhu, who assured me the rate was locked in at the time of signing. To have it changed so soon after feels misleading and unprofessional. Customers expect stability and honesty, not surprise hikes in costs after committing to a policy.

If this is how they treat new clients, I can only imagine how claims would be handled. Very disappointing, and I would strongly caution others to be extremely careful before trusting this company with something as important as their home insurance.

In my experience, their practices are deceptive and lack transparency. For example, if you want to cancel a policy, they won’t inform you upfront about the cancellation costs. Instead, they prefer to surprise you with hidden charges — and they seem to be perfectly okay with that approach.

How is anyone supposed to make an informed decision under such unethical practices? How can a customer cancel a policy without first being told the cost involved?

Some of the worst customer service I have experienced. Incredibly rude and entitled to the point it makes me nauseous. Offering me a completely bizzare quote for a old vehicle and then having an attitude when I declined.

It felt like I was talking to an ex and having a disagreement. Not only is the price ridiculous but its the fact that you have to pay on top of that because they won't even cover you fully.

I am a customer. Not a friend, family member or colleague. Treat me accordingly and have some respect. You act as if you are the only insurance company around when I have dozens of options at my finger tips which offer affordable and actually decent customer service. Avoid this place.

Sure, I’ll give you some more details. I absolutely loathe having to call this insurance company and especially speaking with one particular grumpy old lady that I don't bother remembering the name of. Every interaction is frustrating, the customer service is unhelpful at best, and their policies are ridiculous. It feels like they make everything harder than it needs to be. Overall, dealing with this company is a terrible experience, and I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for insurance.

This building is an icon Canada wide. One of my favorite pieces of architecture and a prominent spot in Toronto. You can photograph it from so many amazing angles from all around the immediate area.

Civil Court is on floors 7,8 9. Filing a brief can take many hours. Tiny, crowded corridor areas and too few chairs for waiting in the corridors outside courts.

Our experience with City Cruises Toronto was absolutely amazing! Cruising along the waterfront gave us stunning views of the Toronto skyline, especially at sunset – truly picture-perfect. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ride. The staff were welcoming and professional, making the whole journey smooth and enjoyable. It was a perfect mix of relaxation and sightseeing, and definitely one of the best ways to experience the city from the water. Highly recommended for both locals and tourists!

We went as part of the Toronto CityPASS and loved it. The commentary was pretty good but need more history, maybe more on the buildings that you see from the water.

The cruise was fairly smooth but it did rain 🌧 a bit so no great sunny pictures. A good reason to go back.

From the moment we stepped aboard, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. Their friendliness added a personal touch.

The boat itself was clean and well-kept, with restrooms that were surprisingly spotless—something I truly appreciated while being out on the water. Lunch was great, and far better than what I’ve come to expect from similar cruises. There were also snacks available, which rounded out the experience nicely and kept everyone satisfied.

But what really made this cruise stand out was the view and the narration. Cruising along the waterfront with the stunning Toronto skyline as the backdrop was breathtaking. The narrator did a fantastic job walking us through the city’s history—pointing out key buildings, and architectural stories that brought the skyline to life. It wasn’t just sightseeing; it was an engaging, mini history lesson that made me appreciate the city even more.

Whether you’re a local looking to see the city from a new perspective or a visitor wanting an unforgettable intro to Toronto, this is absolutely worth it.

We actually arrived late to our scheduled time but found the customer service easy to deal with and were able to reschedule for the same day.

8-8-25 we booked through city pass and actually expect a better both, it was way too old and they added office metal to the second floor of boat (cruise is to much for it). Tour guide was too talkative and try to recommend other tourist attractions during short cruise and doesn’t let people enjoy the peacefulness of the sunset on lake, but all together is a nice memory

Unfortunately these things happen, and David and Nicole worked quickly to approve an insurance claim to help me purchase a replacement so I could get back working on my business.

These guys are awesome! Especially for first-time indie filmmakers. They are quick to explain everything in detail, are very transparent and don't beat around the bush. I felt that I was getting honest answers to my many questions and never once did I feel condescended or taken advantage of. They also offer the best value for your money that I found. We will definitely use them again for our next film.

This is a review that should have been given years ago and is definitely well deserved. I have been dealing with this insurance broker for well in excess of 30 years. I have my car, truck, boat, ATV and home all insured through them and any dealings with them is always quick, efficient and pleasant, not to mention the rates I pay are in my opinion very reasonable. While I’ve been fortunate that I have not had to put through too many claims over the years, any dealings in that regard have also been nothing short of positive and fair. They always make me feel that my business is important to them and any inquiries or adjustments to my policies are always addressed in a quick and professional manner. I highly recommend them. Amanda from Now Destinations was very helpful in organizing my sister's wedding. Her wedding took place in Ocean El Faro resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. As you can see from the pictures the wedding turned out beautifully and we had a great time.

We came back about two weeks ago from our trip to Mexico for our wedding and it was absolutely magical.

The agency helped us from the very beginning, offering us different hotel and location options to match our price range and our taste. Our guests were offered a group rate and many payment options. The booking and process went very smoothly, even with a flight change a few months before, they were very helpful. Everyone we met at the agency in this past year was kind, attentive and very helpful with everything.

The wedding planning went amazing, we chose the Pearl Package and we worked with Amanda. She started from our Pinterest board to create a complete decor document with different options and price points. I had vague ideas and I would even say lack of vision but she worked with me and suggested many ideas that turned into gorgeous additions to our day and the best part is there was never any hidden cost or bad surprises. Also, she took care of all communications with the hotel and with Sunwing, I never really had to do anything. She also planned an excursion for our guests during our stay, giving us great advice and different options, and we are super happy we prebooked, it was a lot less stress and it turned out to be the best day ever (after the wedding... of course).

Overall, I hesitated at first to have a destination wedding but we had such an amazing trip and our wedding day turned out to be even better than we imagined it to be, thanks to the services of the travel agency. We would definitely do it all over again (&&wish we could).

We got married in Oct. 2022 at the Fives beaches & resort and our wedding planner was Mandy Delve. Mandy has had 20+ years of experience in the industry and it shows. She is a true professional, whose passion, dedication and knowledge shows throughout the process. We wanted a wedding with Indian and western elements and given her expertise with both she understood exactly what we were going for. From the start she understood our vision and worked with us patiently in helping identify the right resort for us - Fives was great as they have a lot of experience with Indian weddings and more generally their wedding team onsite was amazing. Mandy knows the resort and management very well and was able to work out the venues we wanted on a weekend even though they were pretty booked up. We gave Mandy creative license with both our events and she came up with wonderful ideas of merging Indian tradition, decor with western and even Mexican elements. As an example for one of our events where we wanted color and vibrancy, she suggested adding a pinata, maracas, mexican flags and other small decor items that really brought the event and our vision to life. She also went above and beyond in getting price comparisons, visiting stores in Toronto for decor, working with local vendors in Mexico. She took care of all the logistics - building a beautiful wedding website, tracking RSVPs, working tirelessly with all our guests helping book their accommodations/transfers etc., Having Mandy present during the wedding itself was amazing - she took care of all the details ensuring our events went smoothly. She was even able to ensure that all the guests have great experiences by helping with free room upgrades, dinner reservations when they were none available etc. A destination wedding is quite challenging plan and there are lots of nuances to be worked through, we feel extremely lucky that we had someone as experienced and amazing as Mandy to navigate us through the process. We can't recommend her and Now destinations enough! I would also highly recommend Fives branded and resort- beautiful venues, great wedding team, excellent vendors (food, floral, photography, music were all incredible) and lovely grounds and customer service

I literally had no idea where to begin when planning our destination wedding...I had spoken to many travel agents who were not very responsive and helpful. I was recommended to NOW destinations by a friend and I was put in contact with Amanda Katchutas. This was a game changer...she was super responsive and no question was a nuisance. Amanda took the time to explain everything to me so that there were no surprises. She really helped bring together my vision and made the process feel so effortless, easy and stress free. I can't say enough good things...what a great experience. Don't hesitate to use them for your travel plans, group bookings or destination wedding plans! Seems to be the best run Registry I’ve been to. It’s definitely quite busy, but they coordinate well and it’s got a decent amount of space. Odd spot for it, but aside from the wait time everything was quick and smooth.

I’ve been coming here for 10-15 years, and I’ve never had an issue. Sometimes there’s a bit of a line but you can expect that with any registry. I do like their online wait list and today I was in and out in FIVE minutes to renew my license (on a Friday afternoon!). Super impressed. The staff is always so friendly and so helpful so thank you, keep up the good work.

Super efficient and super friendly! The text method for the line up queue is such a good process! Liked the greeter at the door to triage you. The lady that served me for my drivers license renewal was fast and also noticed I needed my registration renewed too so both tasks got done. This is THE BEST registry. I consistently get great service here! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. I go out of my way to go here when I need a registry because of the excellent service. I have tried other registries, such as the one in Legacy Township, but after not great experiences, I will never use any other registry besides the Registry @ South Trail Crossing.

I found Ovet travel on a google search when I was looking for an agency to help me plan my destination wedding. From the early stages of the planning I knew I had found the best people to help me plan that special day. I am working with Katia and Chelsea who are both just amazing. They are kind and professional. My wedding is in few short months and I am pretty much set because they did all the heavy lifting. When you have questions they answer fast, they take the time to offer all the details/information and even their expertise on many aspects of wedding planning. All in all my fiancé and I have been having a wonderful experience and we are so glad we chose them to be our wedding travel agency. I am usually the web-booking type who tries to book everything on my own online and I am certain that from now on I will always call the ladies at Ovet before booking anything. :)

Travel Agency Ovet offers amazing service!
I travelled to Sicily 3 years ago through them and was impressed by the organization of the trip regarding the choice of hotels, flight and vehicle organization!
They currently just finalized my trip to Japan and once again have hooked me up with great service and options to how I want to experience my vacation there!

I usually book online using some third party, but Katia and her team provided me with unparalleled service when booking my last trip to the US. They beat any price listed online and even more importantly booked everything (hotel + flight) without me having to lift a finger.

A few months ago, I contacted this company. My experience with them was really poor. There was lack of communication, accountability and rudeness. My requests weren't properly addressed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company.

We politely sought a quote for auto and home insurance, they replied, we gave the requested info and then they ghosted us. We happen to have a clean insurance record. Not sure what happened at their end but we guess our business did not matter much to them. Fortunately, we found other willing insurance brokers in Kanata who were friendly and easy to work with.

We have been with this company for over 25 years. We get continuous superlative service with top competitive pricing.

I had several exceptional years of service with Allan Man, I felt it was like small town brokers in the big city. I do not enjoy giving a poor review but my recent experience with Allan Man both with my personal adjuster Brian and the owner Allan have left me to warn others to stay away.

I have had a minor repair claim since March (it is near end of July as of writing this). At no point has there been any urgency to finish, look into or check up on. Despite several calls, escalations with the manager Allan neither Brian nor Allan seemed to care about my satisfaction or the completion of the claim which is still incomplete with complications as of writing this.

I have been left fully self service to deal with the body shop and directly with Aviva.

Please reconsider doing business with this location. I have had very poor communication, they have not answered many of my questions, have no urgency and there is quite clearly no concern for the customer at the end of the day.

Other important warnings.
-I had deductible forgiveness but am paying a $200 deductible.
-they sent me to out of network bodyshop with no warranty and resulted in delays and additional estimates required.
-they never communicated with new bodyshop and left me to work directly with Aviva for all concerns.
-Never replied to estimate quotes to reduce service after realizing service paid for was not as “full coverage” as expected.
-Left literally months without communication of any type while happily taking my monthly payment.
-Broker went on sick leave without letting me know, I had to escalate to manager to find out, manager Allan never followed up with promised to call back when he found out about state of negligent claim.
-Left to personally deal with bodyshop, arrange for rental and body shop is now understaffed so my car is just sitting in their parking lot with no actionable work being done.

I do not enjoy this review, but you have been warned. Some very simple human decency based concern and communication could have avoided all of this but I am 5 months into a very minor repair and they still do not even know what is going on.

***Update, An attempted placation and excuse is provided below. Customers read into as you will. Notice at no point was I on their radar until I left this poor review. They are only in it for your monthly and have no wherewithal to handle complex or escalated situations. My case is still openly active I am actively calling aviva and they have made no attempt to contact me or help beside providing the below excuses.

Chris Lavigne was great. We moved our home and both cars. Yes, we saved money but Chris patiently pointed out the differences between the policies and gave us a quick run down on the companies - claim service and so on. We also challenged him with a boat we purchased in the US. Chris provided us with choice of markets even with the challenge of the boat being in the US for two months before we bring it to Canada. Again pointing out the differences in the policies and companies.

Can't forget the receptionist - she's awesome. So professional yet friendly. Love dealing with this office.

I am SO HAPPY with this Broker and Jamie's superior. I called a few places and everyone kept telling me insurance will take a week to two weeks. Jamie quickly gave me options for insurance within a day. She is quick to respond and very patient as I had a million questions about coverage. Will refer her over and over.

Erin ROCKS! I have been with BrokerLink for a few years now and due to retirements, medical leaves, etc., I have had a few brokers who have helped me but none have been as good as Erin!

I am so glad that Erin was assigned to my account when my then broker quit. After the hailstorm of August 5th, 2025, in Calgary, it has been an awful experience dealing with the insurance company - until Erin arrived on the scene! Erin told me that she "works for me and not the insurance company" and she has been true to her words. She escalated the file to a manager level when the insurance company was "nickel and diming" me and asked them to communicate with her directly and she took them on! We just settled and I really appreciated Erin being in my corner! I told Erin that she can't retire! :) Simply the best!
