We were giving her email yesterday when we were very stressed out with our current insurance broker. I recently needed to renew my policies for both my automobile insurance and property insurance for our home. I have always enjoyed a positive relationship with my Insurance Broker at Trigon Insurance. Whenever I have had to call them with regards to an issue pertinent to my vehicle or house, my Trigon Insurance Broker always returned a phone call ASAP. At present my Broker is Linda Chiarello and she was very helpful in terms of looking at all options for us in terms of the coverages my husband & I were looking for. Michelle was very condescending when calling for help on where to locate my broker information. Going through a unique situation involving domestic violence, and she kept repeating to access my paper documentation, even though I told her that this had been removed by an abuser. I understand that they can't tell me who my broker is, but telling me to access a document that no longer exists was not helpful. Needs more customer service skills training.

I am 70 years old this year and have experienced a number of insurance agencies during my tenure here on earth.
However the star of the ratings is Western General and Roy Howerton and staff.
Hands down stand out the best!!!

Incompetent avoid at all costs.

Shaunda Howerton was provided all details required for home owners coverage and simply could not behave in a professional manner. In the past it would take her over a month to respond to emails and at the last minute deny coverage with no reason provided. Avoid these crooks.

I have been with Western General insurance since I started driving almost 30 years ago. Everyone is always curious appreciate everyone over the yearsand helpful. They get me in and out quickly always making my busy life easier. Thanks to you all.

Action Insurance Group and specifically Joanne Sheppard were incredible to my husband and I over the 5 years we were insured for home and auto through their brokerage. We got a great rate on auto insurance by using a driver tracking app through one of the companies they work with, and that same company helped us very smoothly through two animal strikes and one not-at-fault collision. Joanne was so quick to respond with such great service and I always felt like I had a one-on-one service provider who I was able to build a relationship with. We unfortunately moved out of province, or we would have kept our insurance with Action Insurance Group forever - especially since Joanne provided such an amazing level of service that you just don't find everywhere in the insurance world. I highly recommend Action to anyone!!

I was looking for a quote on renewing my auto insurance. I spoke with several other brokers with terrible results before trying Lanes. I was helped by Andy and he was terrific... imagine speaking with a real person that actually knows a lot about insurance! What a refreshing change from their competition. A very positive experience.

Since I have been with Lanes Insurance almost 2 years now I have never had better rates and such good help. I currently insure two houses, two personal vehicles, a dump truck, a motorcycle, a work van and my 2012 Dodge 3500. I also insure my company with full liability. I could not believe that one broker could accommodate all of my insurance needs with such low prices! All of these for well under $900.00 a month!! I recommend Lane’s to all my friends! Best rates around and they've always been so helpful and wonderful whenever you had to file a claim. The company overall is very good, but I had a disappointing experience with their customer service, especially with the broker, Saima Ibrahim. I found her to be rude and unprofessional in her behavior. Her attitude came across as cunning and uncooperative, which left me feeling quitedissatisfied.

Honestly the best service that you can get from insurance brokers! Walter was on my account and I recommend him highly as a broker of your business/needs, so ask for him if you need insurance. What I needed was very complicated, yet Walter was very patient, responsive and very helpful. You can see that the team cares about their clients and potential clients and take in consideration every concern! Definitely the best insurance broker company, and a great and professional broker!

Update: I finally got my Letter of Experience, no thanks to Insurance Portfolio. The owner's response below doesn't address my concerns, but rather listed the reasons he wouldn't help. Is that who you want working for you? And in 2015, I did ask Vincent (who has since retired) to have me serviced by another broker. Vincent said to call him directly if I had policy issues. After that, my final policy with Insurance Portfolio came with my name missing from the policy, and my current and my ex-wife listed as the insured drivers. DD blamed a computer error. That's when I left Insurance Portfolio. This latest problem- apparently a clerical error done by DD during my last few years with his company- didn't surface until now.

When I called the insurance regulatory board for Ontario about my problem, they were surprised to hear that Insurance Portfolio wouldn't assist a former client with a Letter of Experience. I ended up getting my LoE from Western Assurance, the carriers of the policy in question. They were responsive and polite. And they provided the report at no cost, which is apparently the industry norm.

During my one phone call with the owner of Insurance Portfolio, he at first claimed his inability to help was a privacy issue. The regulatory board disagrees with him. At a minimum, he could have offered me guidance on how to get the info I needed. Instead, he left me to navigate unfamiliar waters on my own.

Fortunately, someone else stepped up to help solve the problems created by Insurance Portfolio.

I'd been a satisfied customer at Insurance Portfolio since the early 70s- until I was assigned to broker D.D. After a litany of errors, I changed brokers and thought my problems with them were done. Nope. Just purchased a new car, and in the process of registering it, I was told that my insurance records showed a gap of five years starting in 2010. Another error by Insurance Portfolio staff! After a week of waiting for a "Letter of Experience", I was told by the president of the company today that since I wasn't a customer there anymore, they weren't going to help. That's what forty years of paying premiums gets you. Shame!

Alex has always been helping our family with our multiple vehicles. He has been great help in helping us switch over vehicles and getting us insurance slips when we request. Thanks and keep up the good work.

My husband and I got married in Cabo and I can’t say enough amazing things about our wedding planner Tiffany. From the moment we started working together, she made the entire wedding planning process so stress-free and enjoyable (including our weekly chats that i really looked forward to). Tiffany went above and beyond in every way, making sure every detail was perfect—not just for the wedding, but also for our welcome yacht party, which was such an incredible experience for our guests. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful, and I am so grateful. Thank you for everything.

My husband and I recently had a destination wedding at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica and was so pleased with all the pre wedding coordination! From the start, I had found a better rate for the resort on their website than was offered since we booked so far in advance. They agreed to price match the rates I found but then ended up giving us an even better rate, which made it much more affordable for our guests. Kawal was the best travel agent and always replied in a few hours to all my countless questions. Kawal was on top of it, sending me weekly guest list updates and let me know about the group concessions to expect before we even left for the trip. All the group concessions were as promised and they made us feel so taken care of at a private group check in at the resort. I got multiple compliments from my guests who interacted with Kawal about how attentive and helpful the service was. I had multiple hiccups with my airport transfers between deciding which guests would be on my private transfer and flight changes but Kawal took care of it by emailing guests directly and took the stress off of me! Kawal made the experience of coordinating a large group vacation easy!!

Diane was our off site wedding coordinator and she was amazing! I was so sad that she could not be there on the day of the wedding to see it all through. She was so easy to work with and paid attention to details. She was so kind in replying to all my emails as I stressed about forgetting any details. The resort was beautiful, the wedding everything I dreamed it to be and everyone has an amazing time!

Michael DiDomenico was our travel specialist, and he was amazing throughout. He responded to emails so quickly, whether it was an inquiry, concern, or any adjustment that needed to be made with our reservation. We attended our goddaughter's wedding at Royalton Splash Riviera in Cancun. There was no issue with the check-in. The view, food, and staff were all amazing.

Christy was recommended by a family member as I was a little overwhelmed with booking my first trip solo parenting and making a choice with all the options. She was able to help me find a great resort in my price range for myself and my daughter to travel to the Caribbean that was exactly what I was looking for. She called me and answered all my questions about the travel process, preparation, and resort so that I felt confident and safe going. We had a wonderful trip and will be using her again this winter. I highly recommend her!

Luxe is truly amazing at what they do. They made my destination wedding planning exciting and stress-free!! I actually was not stressed out once!! They are so kind, helpful and respond quickly to emails! They go above and beyond for their brides! My wedding was so magical and felt like it was from a movie! Everything was perfect! RBC assurances vend assurance Aviva. Total waste of time and energy. After spending 5 hours with them over the phone on a span of two days, and submitting drivers records, and more, they came up to me saying unfortunately our hands are tied since Aviva refused your application because you are the owner and your parents drivers not living at the same address. I said ok we can just put under my parents name, puts me on hold again and comes back saying “unfortunately they don’t want to go forward”. They had no valid reason refusing me. I want to escalate this to the Ombudsman. This is crazy

It started from the call i had from them. I asked to be able to give it some thought. And was pushed to just sign up. Fast forward 1 week from that and thinking it over for. I decided i wanted to cancel. Sent emails regarding this and no replies and its a month of that now. Would not recommend to anyone. Very poor customer service. And very shady business practice to not reply to a concern.

I would sincerely recommend choosing an alternative insurance provider. once you have a policy, they fail to return any form of contact. I can never reach someone on the phone and their number is always out of service. they put the wrong telephone number on forms they send you furthering communication difficulties. they have been sent a beneficiary form numerous times and continue to enter the information incorrectly, meaning my beneficiary won’t inherit my policy. For yours and your family’s price of mind, please look elsewhere as this is not a professional or appropriate company

UPDATE: I sent an email as asked and STILL have yet to receive any form of follow up. you can respond to a google review but not the actual clients. this is a disgusting way to run a business. I was able to call in once and your staff said nothing and terminated the call immediately. I was able to get through a second time and again your staff terminated immediately without so much as a hello. how is this allowed? please shut down your company because evidently it cannot be run to any level of a professional standard.

I'm not playing games. I have asked nicely over 5 times. Enough is enough!

The agent I spoke to was very helpful, very patient. When filling out those multiple choice questions, I needed some to be repeated, which she was very happy to do so. I had to stop partway through to get my groceries delivered and had to hang up for a few minutes and call back. I would happily recommend Specialty Life Insurance to anyone looking for life insurance.

Worst insurance company ever, they never pick up the phone or return calls. I read the previous reviews of customer-complaints regarding the same issue, every time the staff has tried damage control by apologizing and directing customers to call back during business hours... The problem is that they never answer or call you back. Imagine when you actually have to make a claim.

I've been with Front Row for a little under four years. Their rates are reasonable and I love that they understand photo/film industries. I've never had to make a claim but I've heard good things from other photographers. My only complaint is that they no longer cover your equipment if it's stolen from your car. As someone who works on the road this leaves me on edge. Would happily pay a little more for this option even with a higher deductible.

UPDATE: Front Row, thank you for clarifying my concerns. This is why you guys are great!

I have no idea if Front Row Insurance is any better than any other insurance company when it comes to honouring a claim...I've never had to make one, thankfully. I do know that obtaining insurance for my film gear was made very easy, and they seem to understand the insurance challenges for freelancers, whereas other insurance companies don't understand the business at all. I feel like my premiums and coverage are good value for the cost.

No response after four follow ups trying to get a quote for a feature.

UPDATE: I was able to get insurance for easy shorts with Front Row before no problem. I have no previous claims because I overthink everything and plan for every worst scenario. But as soon as there was something rather unusual, they were absent. I carried a lot of personal liability on my shoulders for 75 days filming across Canada without insurance - and no response to this review, like they have done on other reviews. You guys have let me down on my Canadian doc feature. I hope it was just a post-pandemic effect.

Front Row is awesome. I am so glad to have found them 4-5 years ago. Every other insurance company had no idea what we do and I knew we weren’t getting the coverage we needed.
They are friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. Communication has been lightening fast.
We had a flood and they were extremely helpful. They fought to make sure we were taken care of.

After five or six years of having the experience of buying insurance for my personal car again, I was very lucky that, through the introduction of one of my friends, Dariush Jafari, I was able to connect with Mr. Taebi for insurance matters. His good and professional information, along with his friendly, sincere and honest communication, was very enjoyable and effective for me. Here I want to say to him:

This is the worst insurance broker. All they do is tell lies and apparently do not actually want to help. They are not experienced at all. They aren't able to comprehend anyone but themselves. They are arrogant ppl who think they are better than others. They start judging you from the first second, and if you don't fit their brief well, they will not bother with you. They will come up with things you've never done and said in order to make it sound good for them so they can close your file. They have no idea of how to talk to a person nor deal with someone who may be a bit stressed out, and therefore, they have no heart and emotions it's like you're talking with soul eaters. Just find another agency there's plenty in the sea to choose from.

Mohammad Taebi (my broker) is professional and very precise in his work. He knows his job well and his follow-ups are excellent. He is very polite, and I enjoyed working with him. I am very satisfied. 100/100

So far so good. My broker is Mr. Xiaohui CUI. Xiaohui is able to find a proper insurance for reasonable premium. He shows hardworking, patient and professional. Keep going Xiaohui!

I had my road test today at this registry after having difficult experiences at another registry, and I am so grateful for the smooth and positive experience here. My examiner was Mr. Simon, and thanks to his professionalism and support, I was able to pass my test on the first attempt at this registry.

Before the test, I was very nervous and scared because of my prior experiences elsewhere. I had lost confidence in my abilities, but after today I feel back with confidence and secure in my ability to drive safely on the road. Mr. Simon exudes an aura of calmness that immediately put me at ease. He truly tries his best to make the test feel less intimidating and even reminded me to just drive the way I normally would with a license. That encouragement really helped me relax and focus. During the test, his instructions were clear, calm, and easy to follow. Afterward, he provided a thorough debrief, explaining the points that were deducted and ensuring I fully understood.

Overall, Mr. Simon created an environment where I felt supported and confident, which made a huge difference in my performance. It is evident that he understands the stress students can feel during a road test and responds with patience and professionalism.

The check-in process at this registry was also very smooth, and the customer service is excellent. I am truly thankful for the experience, and I want to recognize both Mr. Simon for his professionalism and the registry staff for making this such a positive road test from start to finish.

I came here to do my road test and was fortunate to have Simon as my evaluator. He is wonderful! Very kind and patient, and gives clear and concise instructions. If you are fortunate to get him for your test too, just know you are in good hands.

Visited Sunridge Registry for my driving test and had a great experience! The waiting time was impressively short, which was a huge plus. The examiner, Samuel, was fantastic - he was clear, concise, and professional in his instructions. Made the whole test process much less stressful. Simon was by the book and stringent on safety but fair and understanding. As a new Motorbike rider with my class 6 that's what I expect from an examiner.

The debrief was detailed but encouraging. As for converting the licence, the process, once at a counter took a few minutes. Today, Sunday, it was packed but even then the queue moved quick and efficiently.

Came on Sunday 20 minutes before closing and got the best registry-related experience ever! Almost every window is staffed, they are very busy but working very fast. I was helped by Surbhi, and she was fantastic - super-professional, super-friendly and super-helpful. Maybe the bad comments came from unhappy people, because my experience here was 10/10!

Really disappointed…….Whenever you need them they disappear but when they want to give you the insurance they will keep on calling you but once you called them if you need they won’t show any interest in you to help you out. I wish I could give them less than a one star.

They will sell their policy and when you need their help regarding claim or anything else, they will not pick your phone. I’m calling them 5-6 times a day and texting them but they aren’t answering. Maybe, they just need people for selling their policies. Worst ever experience with them.
